hi nan
i keep wanting ot put that word in but obviously it doesnt work lol
A man had 50 yard line tickets for the Super Bowl. As he sits down, a man comes by and asks if anyone is sitting in the seat next to him. "No," he says, "The seat is empty." "This is incredible," said the man. "Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the Super Bowl, the biggest sporting event in America , and not use it." He says, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. I was supposed to come with my wife, but she passed away. This is the first Super Bowl we haven't been to together since we got married in 1967." "Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible. But couldn't you find someone else -- a friend, relative, or neighbor to take the seat?" The man sadly shakes his head, "No, they're all at the funeral."
ruru -- I've put my email address at the end of my bio

I wonder why refreshing no longer works here for updating icons and Lickety's list -- I have to go out and in again
no clue
I do too jilli
and the "force refresh" doesn't work
not familiar with force refresh
I think it's Ctrl + F5 or something
I've forgotten all of those function keys, never use them anymore
I only use F9 when I'm using MS Publisher -- enlarges things -- very useful indeed

*hugs and poofing*
I did that and I'm so happy
happy with a new look?
sure am getting another at the end of the month
what did you do and what are you doing?
my hair just kept growing and got longer and straighter so I had her cut and curl it no muss no fuss
that is what I am doing ... curl and cut tomorrow; color next week.... yipppeee.... my shoulders won't hurt from holding dryer or curling iron... cannot wait
I have 76 words, 68 left, busy day coming up and I'm not liking this grid one bit.
ok, poofing for real now; hugs to all
I just pinned it back and I hated it
bye dee I know you'll love it
goodnight Dee, sweet dreams
I have some stuff I got at the hairdresser's called Curly Sexy Hair -- put it on a wet head and just scrunch, let it dry, and bingo, loose curl or waves
jilli I can't believe how much I miss lickety when he's gone
it was nice to have grem too
west, he's here!
wow, what is it jilli? I really need a haircut but can't find anyone I like here
yes, I wonder if grem is sick of us
that Curly Sexy Hair sounds like just the ticket
who makes it, do you know?
I go to Gail -- her new place is across the road from Harbour House. But your hair always looks great!
really appreciated grem during lickety's absence
he seems like a nice kid
it's getting long jilli, and unmanagable
but he's so fast...
the Shaun White of Babble
must try her Jilli
where was she before, jilli?
back soon
It says it's made by Sexy Hair Concepts, Los Angeles, CA 91311, but is "Sold Only in Professional Salons"
ah, so you get it from Gail?
flosey, she was IN Harbour House. Yes, I get it from Gail.
oh, I think that's Isabelle's hairdresser too?
Flo, there's also a fun French guy there called Sylvain if Gail is busy, and a younger operator called Kim. Phone 7-4404
Could be -- and Tilly's and Irene's and lots of others
thanks jilli, I will
was going to go to Sidney, or Vic. but would rather stay here
No harm in trying Gail and gang
will call tomorrow
brb
I'm going for a cut on Friday at 2
I hope west gets back soon so I can give her the info she asked for!
just wanted to catch hubby before he was sleeping - we had decided to go over tomorrow
I'd far rather find someone handy here
hello I'm back
I sneaked off for a piece of chocolate cake
oh, sounds good west
it was I only had half
we took my mother and brother out the other night for his birthday and the restaurant we went to makes such good desserts so I got a piece to take home
I'm not much of a dessert person
how great to live close to your mom and bro
it really is
I have a sweet tooth, unfortunately
my brother and sister are in Ontario
as well as 2 sons
that's really far for you
gd morning, just a few minutes to jump in
I do go once a year now, use to go in May and Oct. - now May only
hello ruby
we are planning a trip to Michigan this summer we'll go through part of Ontario on the way
hello flosey
hi ruby
I'm going to find 8 more words, then off to bed
you must love having William close by
I have 61 left lol
down to 34 left, need 4 more
west, you disappeared just before I posted the source for Curly Sexy Hair -- here it is again: It says it's made by Sexy Hair Concepts, Los Angeles, CA 91311, but is "Sold Only in Professional Salons"
oh I do west, daughter just sent new pics, he's changing so fast
thanks jilli sometimes I can get the sold only on Drugstore.com
the last picture I saw was in his Santa suit
Jilli they might carry it at the salon I go to
well I'm falling asleep...48 left...will finish tomorrow...nite friends..sweet dreams...*poofy*
They might indeed -- but you have a perm so do you need it?
ah, that was before the 4 teeth, west
I finally found someone I like too
night, MPitt
oh flosey he's got 4 teeth?
not taking the words! what's happening?
every day/night at this time is the pause that refreshes
ahah, now it started again and "remembered" what I had typed
jilli, I"m between perms now and get it cut every 8 weeks so it gets straighter and straighter
going to a wedding Mar 5th so I'll get another
well, if you haven't had a perm you could give it a try -- it also gives a lot of body which my fine hair needs
I will try it. Even when I get a perm I don't like tight curls
and I don't like curlers or curling irons you need 4 hands
I still have my hot rollers lol
burned myself more than once
old story about hot rollers: my hair is curly in the summer and one winter's day, years ago, I decided to use hot rollers. I couldn't get them out and had to cut each of them out leaving me with a VERY short haircut!
oh no ruby
they do get tangled
now, unfortunately, my hair is still curly but VEREY thin
what we go through
how long is your hair, west?
not long at all now jilli about chin length
and layered
back with current pic
mine is shorter than that -- I think you've seen my picture?
goody !!
oh my he's so darling and so big !!
Oh flosey, is he a picture!
ty west, he's changed so much since Christmas
I have jilli mine isn't that much longer
he's a little boy now
what a beautiful little boy!
who does he look like?
ty jilli
Mine's a bit longer than that now
he is so much like his dad, it's almost funny
right from birth, you could see Patrick's features in him
is his dad's picture the one you posted very handsome guy
I'm going to head for bed. This grid is definitely going to need morewords imho
yes, he is, and just the sweetest guy
William will break a few hearts I think
goodnight jilli, I'll probably be using mw to finish tomorrow
still have to get 3 more before I can leave
good night jilli happy dreams and thanks for the sexy curly hair info
does anyone have the ar8?
not me
do you have the song and singer?
are they ar words?
ar & run a r*** & your grandson is gorge***
no ca words
Hello
hi lyn
run a ?
oh, got it, thanks lyn
oh, got it, thanks lyn
red light?
did it again tonight, I get impatient and click again
think more athletically west
it's quite slow tonight
ah thanks
ohh, where's jilli, atheticly?
now you need 2 ?
I knew what you meant and I'm not sure how to spell it either
was right the first time, just looked funny to me ' athletically
words will do that
too hard for me
speaking of athletes why can't you run a ra** again?
got it, what a funny word!
thanks for that
down to 30, so off to bed, goodnight all
gj flosey !!
Night Flosey. Hi Ruby
before you go how old is William in the new picture?
will probably finish while waiting for the hairdresser to open so I can phone for appt.
William's just past 7 months here
how time flies
his other gramma is enjoying him these days
does she live close by too?
they're staying with her (she's still in the big house where they all lived before going their own ways, while the condo is being renovated - Patrick had totally gutted it - down to concrete floor, risers only left dividing rooms
I remember flosey right before William was born
he wanted to do the word all himself but is far too busy, and wouldhave become very frustrating for them
he can save that for when he's retired
they're in north van and gramma is in west van
**work not word
I'll bet his other gramma is just eating him up
maybe 10 minutes or so away
and they'll go home to a nice new place
she sure is west, she's confined to wheelchair, has had some pretty scary surgeries lately
then William is the best medicine
yes, isn't it lovely - they may decide not to look for a home right now
Sounds like it is a hidden blessing them being there
indeed it is, daughter is able to help out so Pat's other sister can work at the office instead of at home
must get to bed now, and let you gals get back to the puzzle, when anyone asks, I just love to show the new pics
and we love seeing them
sleep well flosey and good luck with the new hairdresser
thanks
night again Flosey, thanks for sharing
will let you know - but with so many friends going to her, I better not complain
ty Lyn
really must poof
BBL
bye lyn
hi lynxx, back for a minute
this is a very hard grid for me and don't have much time today
all kinds of administrative/tax/secretarial junk to do
am I alone??
I'm still here watching the half pipe
lyn left awhile ago
I call that busy work it's relaxing in a way
how is it? the olympics coverage is terrible here; they focus exclusively on the French athletes. It was embarrassing watching the men's short program -- Brian Joubert is awful!
and when "the last hope" for the French women's giant slalom fell immediately after leaving the gate, they showed here fall around a dozen times.
it's fun to watch our son in law said he and his 5 brothers talked their dad into draining their swimming pool so they could skate board in it
too funny
I hate when they fall all that work gone in a second
I think American coverage is much less partisan
it's awful when they keep repeating the falls and other mistakes especially in the skating
not sure about that they do seem to cover a lot of the US
all I know is I couldn't do any of it
but the athletes are worth covering. Here, they have endless interviews with the losers
I skied until about 4 years ago, but it\s just too dangerous at my age, risking having some big person, out of control, crash into me!
sort of like 'we were counting on you and you let us down?'
no, they all make excuses, e. g. I had a headache, the dog ate my homework, my ma yelled at me. lol
did you start young?
lol
the slopes looked like pure ice
no, I started when I was 32 as an activity I could do with my son as I was divorced. Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately), he was better than I after one day!
I am not a winter person went on a sleigh ride once and nearly froze to death
the slopes look terrifying to me. I was never very good, always went pretty slowly and carefully and, I hope, gracefully. I didn't fall much and loved it. It was like dancing\
give me a nice warm fire to sit in front of and watch the snow
you'd love it here, two fireplaces and lots of snow!
and two warm dogs
I wish I'd talked to you when I was younger
I know I would
do you usually get that much snow?
I'm afraid of French people
I just looked at your profile. I am 66 and used to be in the glass business and for a while, imported Italian glass and was taken to THE MURANO BEAD FACTORY by a colleague. It was amazing.
I don't think they like us
Hi
I'm not French; I'm from NY
hiya lady
hi herin
I know you're not ruby but you live there
we live in a little village and the people are very nice to us
that's different then
have you been to Murano, West?
HI. I got told today that there is a new nintendo hand held game system being released soon. I think i want it
no, I just found that on google
what is it herin?
oh a whole new system?
the bead factory is like something out of the 18th century. The molten glass comes down wires from the second story cauldrons in different colors and gets chopped into "spaghetti" at the bottom!
Nintendo Dsi LL or as they outside Japan market its the DSi XL
ruby, I was trying to find a bead or beads I liked to post and after looking at about 30 pages I couldn't decide
it was a magical experience
herin what kind of games do you play?
I used to collect beads, especially African ones
the story I read said there were 3 and 4 generations working there
All sorts of stuff. Puzzles etc
hey herin, wes and ruby
it was very strange and interesting. Most of the beads are exported to Africa, which I found very funny
hello gort
hiya gort
Hold that thought please sorry
how r yr assorted grandkiddies, wes, and pooches, ruby, and degrees, herin?
that is strange about Africa
They gave me a sack full of different kinds of tiny beads, some multi-colored strings, others metallic. I have a friend here who does crafts and I gave her a lot of them. Think of all the African beading you see in films -- all done with Italian beads. LOL
they're good gort we are going to Abby's 4th birthday party on Sunday and then to dinner at another's first apartment
cool, wes
I am hunkered down, waiting for Spring. This is a very long winter!
isn't it though
now they don't plow our road so it's all slushy
skiing was a good way to get through part of the dark time, and without that activity, I stay in the house most of the time
can you ski near your house?
husband does all the grocery shopping so I just cook and take care of the dogs and play babble.
We used to go to Austria which is 5 hrs away, but there are places to ski 1/2 hour from here.
ahhhh (gort drools in jealous awe)
husband was too much of a snob to ski locally!
our oldest daughter is coming down on Friday and we'll go to lunch otherwise I have no desire to go out in this weather
but dort, you are not sitting with furry slippers and freezing feet!
how long have you lived in France?
I only go out when we eat lunch in restaurants.
so you can ski locally, but prefer further afield?! Ozzies pay squillions to travel a kazilion miles to get a glimmer of snow
11 years here, since my husband retired. We only got married in Dec '97, then moved here in '98
hi and nbt
and then it's gone by the time we get there. i'm moving to france
hi josh
we have a nice guestroom lol!
hi josh
took me 79 words before I got nbt
and from what you've told us a beautiful garden too
thanks ruby, i'll take you up on your generous offer; by the way, i like my room filled with snow
our snowbird friends from Sween and from Ireland, who keep houses here, came to ski between Christmas and New Year's and it rained almost the whole time! After they all left, we got tons of snow
silly gort
that's Sweden*
then you can sleep in the garden, gort!
lol, thanks ruby, sounds like a dream come true
if you like, west, I can send you photos of the garden. It is very nice and a little bit unusual because it has very limited colors
I'd love that
hey do you know if the ar8 is spiderish?
it must be a lot of work to keep it up
i just got that - just stuff a lot of vowels in there
not spider related
not really gort
it is a weird word, I got it from the chog. The beginning is spiderish but then the ending is just strange
ok whichdirection should i head in pls?
make a long u-turn
I have a handyman to help me and my husband cuts the grass. I mostly design and point, too frail to do much actual work
Hi sorry about that. I had an ''emergancy'' phone cal. Known as I have a working laptop and a paniced friend on the phone
that's my kind of gardening
gort, start with the middle left a and go across and then down
does your friend need to borrow your laptop herin?
OK, I'll try to clue it: ar + vowel + creta***** era
ok, thanks all for yr help, diving in now, will return triumphant or not at all
good fossils during that period
woopee! got it! thanks everyone
yay for gort
that clue may have been too late I think she's gone below
wow that was fast !!
West my friend was trying to look up a medical thingy about her daughter and she had a wonderful blue screen of doom
gort did you get that bad storm?
oh no herin is the daughter okay?
no, but just down the road from my town has been major flooding; several people drowned
i saw photos of uruguay and chile with massive flooding as well
how awful
scuse me, the call has come from yonder, gotta go
talk to you later gort
toodle pip all and thanks again for the ar
josh is that part of the flooding they had at Machu Pichu?
bye gort
you talking pirate gort? lol
toodle pip def sounds like pirate talk lol
i don't know about the flooding in machi picchu
it'd take a lot of rain to flood that
I meant the 'ar' lol
can't spell tonight
they had some really bad flooding and mudslides there
West honestly we are not sure about the kido. Her blood work got sent interstate. Not sure if I consider that serious or careful
west, I don't know how to put my e-mail in my profile but if we can figure out how to exchange addresses, I can send you wondrous photos! LOL
our daughter was there for the millenium
I'll give you mine
it's blueberry.pie@verizon.net
Had a young friend who was in the last lot of tourists to be flown out in helicopter from there West
the floods knocked out the only rail link to Machu Pichu and people had to be evacuated by helicopter
I heard it was pretty bad
maybe now they'll limit the fow of tourists
that sounds terrible
I've only been to South America once and that was to Quito Ecuador. Small trip but great food and drink!
Was certainly an adventure for them...they only missed the earthquake in Haiti by a couple of weeks too
I have some really good recipes from Colombia
if I was them, I think I'd stay home!
I've lost my sense of adventure!
using quinoa? I loved all the meals with 3 kinds of startch
West did you get my message
starch**
I know I've lost my desire to fly
lol, I did say they were young
me, too. And I have to go to London in May for a family party and I feel like canceling....I was thinking of going by train, but then that horrible thing with the Chunnel happened, so I have added that to my fears
phant chorale
how'd they cross before the chunnel?
maybe you could do that
ship/ferry
takes to long is the problem
the flight is only 1 hr 20 from Geneva; it seems stupid to spend a whole day each way
my idea of the great travel experience would be on the Orient Express ala Agatha Christie
Clue for the 9 please
Th tunnel problem was only because of the cold Ruby wasn't it...May will be summer so won't be a problem - ?
without the murders of course
me, too, we looked into it once but it was REALLY expensive
looking herin
Ok
true, Lynxx, I'll have to give it a hard think!
Hi Lynxx. Ruby that sound a lot like our Spirit of Tasmania boat
ca + masked rodent vermin ****on + french definite article and pl for the 9
girl's name or dear in Italian and boy's name ( pini's grandson)
are the waters rough? Everybody used to get sick on the Channel ferries!
riiiiiiight that makes no sense
great clue!
It depends Ruby. just damn expensive. It is expensive to fly and hire a car too. So you are screwed either way
sorry, it's not a rodent, it's actually a mammal
O that one the one that sneaks your trash
I knew that animal, just didn't see him lurking in the grid!
not in France
that one
west, do you prefer your photos one at a time or in clusters?
no Rocky's in France?
I'll try to make a slide show
either way is okay whatever is easier for you
if they're edible, the French have made them into stew!
that would be sweet
they call them "ratons laveurs", vermin who wash their hands!
and give it a fancy French name?
I'll send the photos after lunch
blanquette de viande mystere!
hahah
haha
thanks ruby that's so nice of you it will make me remember what spring is like
hé hé hé
when I lived in Miami, one of those sandwich trucks used to park across from the office and make mystery meat empanadas. Even the Spanish girls wouldn't eat them, but I did, half expecting to see little feet and tails sticking out
ewwww
lol
what was Pepe la Phew? I loved that cartoon
Le Skunk.
I still want to try a Cuban sandwich
duh! of course he was
Le Meow Le Purr
I like Flower from Bambi
he was a skunk or "putois" in French. I don't think they have skunks here. I used to have a skunk-fur coat (dyed of course) from the 30's, purchased at the Salvation Army, and when it snowed you could still smell faint skunk perfume. In elevators, I would just look around like it was somebody else
awww I loved Flower. That's not a flower silly that is a skunk
I had better go and make lunch for DH!
I'm surprised they didn't throw tomato juice on you
lol
we've given you some ideas ruby lol
see you later
or a feminine hygiene product anti stink
bye ruby and thanks again for the pictures
too funny
that's what we use and it works
cuban sandwiches were terrific in Miami, but you need that special sweetish bread
they have them here but I wonder if they'd taste the same
we do have quite an ethnic mix
Except if the mutt is too big *like Nuts dumb dog* and then it's just too expensive
yeah, that would be
I think Nut has told me puppy has been sprayed more than once. Not much brain in his skull
they're just so curious
'what kind of cat are you?' lol
all we have around here are squirrels
lol
some got under the hood of the car and chewed the wiring
then that leads to the spray. We don't have skunks here
you have some pretty interesting animals though
yes we do
OK I am going you have a good sleep
okay bye that's a good thought
I could use some t's and some n's
i could use a few less phantoms
one of these days grrl will be a word
ha5.12 & 6.21 hasn't been in for ages! Hawaiian word
ty lynxxx

hello everybody. as usual, dinner is cooking and I have a couple of mins free. Working on this twice today and am up to 79 words -- with a lot of help from my friends
hi ruby, what's for supper?
hi jmc and hmd
um, dinner
hello aloy. Spicy chicken for my husband (so spicy, you could die from it!), boiled whicken and broiled eggplant + fried bananas for me, and beef hearts risotto for the dogs
ooh, but your kitchen is aromatic!
sounds ambitious, but, except for dogs and eggplant, it's leftovers
yes, and pretty
*bet even
beef hearts risotto.. interesting!
there is plenty, so who shall I expect. And the dogs' din is delicious
with brown rice, cauliflower and parmesan
sounds so yummy
hi there ruby, do you always make the dog's food?
I love risotto
yes, they are so fussy (my fault) and delicate (breeder's fault)
have to avoid organ meat though - use to love liver
do you think it's bad for the dogs?
it was my idea, I hope I'm not hurting them
do you have gout, flosey?
probably not ruby, dogs do more running that I
Hi ruby, everyone!
yay, sally!!!!!
no ruby, can't remember now why it was cut out
hi Sally
What's the grid like today?
There seem to be an awful lot of vowels.
I don't eat a lot and love organ meats tho not so good at cooking liver, tends to be like a shoe sole!
this grid has jiggled my eyeballs.. those two o's at the bottom keep staring at me, lol
very hard grid for me, sally
that's how my mother cooked it ruby, so hated it as a kid, then had it in a restaurant and discovered how good it could be
hard eyes, aloy!
Oh :-(
same here, flosey, didn't learn to eat it until I was OLD
I remember saying to my daughter after her school lunch 'you dont like liver?I like the schools she said it isnt all crusty like yours!!!
my mom used to make us eat liver (iron), so I smothered it in mustard.. love it as an adult but hardly ever eat it
my mom meant well, but didn't have a clue!
I'm down to 1 word and can't get it, any clues for cr7 please?

ty flosey, you're kind
rumple - add optional plural to re4/4
ruby, sure wish that applied to losing weight, lol
Just remember, ruby, when the senility kicks in you make new friends every day. When it gets really bad you make new friends every hour!
lol, flosey
isn't it wonderful, Sally, and you also forget all their faults - even our own, too
I used to tell my father, when he was old, jokes that I had told him before. He probably thought that I was losing it, but was too polite to tell me!
faults? moi?
lol, ruby, you are good!
I had better go and serve dinner, back in 1 1/2 hrs
you are nice, flosey, husband wd probably disagree
May see you later, but have step-daughter staying tomorrow so have to go and clean house.
Flosey, sorry, I still can't monkey it.
I must get on with this day, lots to do, be back at flip time
clean house? What's wrong with doggy footprints everywhere? And sticky counters?
ok, just a sec rumple
See you later
You've visited recently, then!
optional plural has a vowel before s
I had a friend who used to say that if you never had company, you would never clean (me, sally, not you!)
If it's the re 6/18 I have, they are Portuguese or Spanish coins I think.
lol Sally, we no longer have doggy footprints, but the 'farmer' doesn't take boots off before entering
Blush, well I'm the 'farmer' here who looks after the hens. Goes off whistling, hiding boots behind door.
I have the re6/18 one, it's the 6/21 I can't get
the one before the re - flower
Sorry, rumple, not using a list at the moment so I don't know how many there are.
re - it's a heating fuel
we used it in old fashioned furnace

oh? what kind of toy?
a sony reader
oh, I keep thinking about getting one of those but my eyes get tired just looking at a computer monitor, not sure how I would do with one of those readers
i will let you know how i do -- but they do allow you to read with large print
enjoy your Sony read, jmc! and let us know what you think!
melaie..the screen is e-ink,totally different from looking at a monitor or screen howdy jmc
*reader
crossy!crossy!crossy!crossy!crossy!cro ssy!
its the glare that gets me I find myself constantly readjusting room lighting and monitor brightness
i gots my new toy!
yaa for jmc!!!!
i have a sony reader...i love wit..
it
i charged it up and everything
what did you get the 600 model??
its all pretty with the valentines day cover
yaa the valentine special model!!
afk a few checking laundry
yep they still had them for the U.S.
but now i needs things to put on it
best choice, get the cover and the reading light and free book
mine has the 3 muskateers but in french which -- as you may know -- is not a strong language for me!
i wish you would get msn messanger jmc,i could have 100 books for you in 20 minutes
isn't that attached to FB someway?
i dont do fb sorry
wrong people find me on fb
i have yahoo messanger
you can load msn messanger in 5 minutes and we would be done
totally understand an aversion to fb but i am already easily found on the internet so no use to hide
okie doke i will load it on my office computer now
(how do I do that?)
but there is also gutemburg.com
good,good
go to google and type in msn messanger
click the linbk, and follow the prompts
already did. does it matter which version?
www.gutenberg.com
lastest is always best
hi une!
crossy, what about electronic books available from public libraries? do they work on them?
(howdy, jmc)
yes they do une, because only the sony reader line takes e=pub files, which i why i suggested it to jmc..the others do not
ms msgr addys can be accesed via yahoo msgr
cross- the nook does.
cool!
hey, seain :-)
all libraries will be doing thier books in e-pub format only
sorry i stand corrected,i keep forgetting bout the nook
;)
but the nooks is still too new and ive not played with it
the nooks 4 second page turn rate gave me pause
hello
4 seconds is a lie. It was like that in the beginning with the google books, but once the software update came, google books turn just as fast as the others.
when you have you msn addy jmc you can send it to me at chipdip33@hotmail.com
And what I like about the nook is the fact that I can download directly on the device. No need to connect it to my mac. =)
am just going by what i read, ive not heard of patches for it yet
But the Sony is a decent device, too.
yes,the sony edition daily reader dies that also, but is another 100 dollars
i advised the 600 for jmc, cause she is comfortable with loading books off the computer
Ah..
i am however debating the daily edition model for myself mext year
hi leigh I am halfway through down loading it crossy
the wife has the prs 700
kk jmc
Hiya jmc
my staff told me that our internet was tons fast now but you can't tell by me
lol
i am content to download on to my 100 million gb computers and then to the sony
lol
download finished brb
your a showoff jmc;))
oh i can use hotmail for this?
yes indeed, thats what i need you to do
oh i already have a hotmail address -- my own domain, yahoo, hotmail, and gmail -- I just use them for different things
then we go on instant messanger and ill send you some reading material
amelu : you changed your icon!
ok jmc, when your ready give me your hotmaill addy then we can get on instant messanger
same as everything else including babbleland crossy

cr = a colorless oily liquid gotten from wood tar and resin; used as a disinfectant.
Thank you Merk - Just got it 2 seconds before your post. Fireworks.

Thanks Jell - I thought I being ignored :(
ty merk
cr7...my first word :-)
Playing poker, too...
jellen you could also try to find the exact flike that has been infected and if it is a non critical file, try to remove it manually, but that can take a lot of time
Oooh....well done to you too, Soodle! I didn't see :)
Well, that is a good one to have out of the way, Jellen. I have to go. I'm trying to do laundry and clean house for my daughter who is tying up loose ends at work because she is unexpectedly having a C-section tomorrow. Test showed the baby starting to show stress.
Gosh, Merk. Well, congratulations to her, and hope it all goes well :)
give your daughter my best for a problem free c-section and a nice healthy baby
Healthy thoughts being sent your way, Merk!
*poking her head in* Crossy---bacon flavored envelopes!!!! http://www.jdfoods.net/products/mmmvel opes.php
The very best of luck to her, Merc - I have had three of them (C-Sections) and its a very acceptable way of giving birth!
I've heard rock music can stress babies out. That would break my heart! If I were carrying a baby, I wouldn't risk it growing up with a bad taste in music ;)
lookin judi...
lol in utero our boy was listening to the theme from super mario game lol
and the score from the musical phantom of the opera
LOL Crossy. It was classical music for me...no wonder I rebelled.
my son listened to everything from JOhn WIlliams movie themes to the eagles to rock and roll.
Oh, I love POTO!
and he has a very eclectic taste in music
cant go wrong listening to joe walsh do his thing;)
agreed
actually, for a lot of the time, my parents thought I was going to be a girl - my mother played me a lot of ballet records because she wanted me to be a dancer! Funny.
my dad knew what i was going to be,he already had the cage ready lol

tc jellen
Good way to look at it Crossy
see NB, now you really do hafta come visit (so i can take you hostage) cause dear fiance would never go to see POTO with me....
Oh Crossy :) I'm so glad you've had five years free...here's to another five!
though, *thinking* he DID go to see A Chorus Line with me for my bday last year...
wife is napping, may go chase 25 year old honeys down the sidewalk for a bit.they are kind, they let me think i might catch them before they leave me in the dust;)0
LOL Eva :) it would be my third time seeing it...better each time though! I'll begin saving for air fare today ;)
well nb,i had 2 others within that 5 years, but the first is my starting point
i have definitely seen it once. i think i *may* have seen it twice. Cats, on the other hand, i know ive seen at least 3 times, maybe 4. wish it was still touring!!
gosh...well congratulations to making it through, Crossy. You're a braver man than I :)
Eva- My sons teacher just finished a lesson on TS Eliots CATS poems.
bravery is nothing but holding off fear for just a moment longer
well don't forget Eva, as soon as you're married - you're in charge ;)
They had vocabulary, art, spelling all related to the CATS poems and the play... I had him listen to the music while he was studyiong
DR -- i have that book of poems. :) NB -- you mean im not already?? ;)
as soon as that ring went on her finger,he was toast:)))
please. ive been the boss since day one. ;)
my mrs has 3 rings on her finger now..soon a 4th;(((
darn woman wont be able to lift that hand soon;(
LOL Eva...I've told Leo the same. The day I moved in, he forfeited his right to win anymore ;)
remember it is not win or lose,it is just a series of endless concessions lol
it is not to win or lose, as youve already won me and thus, you lose every argument. ;)
lol
hi all!
lol after 17 years of wedded bliss the only think i understand about it all is that it has something to do with chocolate
not something, crossy. it has EVERYTHING to do with chocolate. ;)
lol
howdy jes
LOL Crossy.
Good afternoon all
so, how long will it take you to save up, NB? *devilish grin*
hi All. Anybody havethe first ca7,36, pls
Some say chocolate...I'll take my lovely new eternity ring ;)
LOL, Eva. Well let me think...taking my current salary...subtracting costs of living, eating, CLOTHING...forever? :)

:-D
Sorry Hego, it's just my nipples :D
aaww.. NB
oh, dearest NB, there is nothing JUST about you. :)
nipples? where?
Hi jes
someone said nipples...
NB, now see what you started!
I think Crossy would agree they are JUST nipples Eva ;)
It was Eva who started it! That gal is all about the nipples ;)
Crossy would never say JUST nipples.
wha-?? twas not i. i may dance around an empty chog displaying a drastic lack of clothing, but i would never use the phrase "JUST nipples" :P
I should have known it was that little imp.
imp? MOI?!
help w/the ac 4/7 please...can't see it there!
Imp, YOU. ;)
yeah, you!
*hangs head in shame, unloved*
*bottom lip quiverring*
think chemistry, jeff
just got i ty
But imps are adorable and mischievous and make life worth living.
despite their at time disturbing nipple preoccupation :)
*looks up slightly, through hair*
*flicks hair over face and does the same*
alas, all of this nipple talk has almost distracted me from the fact that its time to go! and as fun as nipples may be, leaving work is even MORE fun!
work is no place for nipples! have a safe trip home, Eva ;) lovely as always to see you!
bye, Eva you are loved and know it.
oh golly, i do miss you so when youre not online NB. :)
Fireworks!
yay, hego!
bye, eva :)
if I never see another c, it will be too soon!
39 today
anyone need a clue?
I gave up on doing the puzzle...I only come here for the social!
In that case, bye for now
Smart move NB
see you, Hego :)
have a good nite, hi to Leo.
Thanks Hego! He says hi back :)
bye, hego
he loves attention from the babblers. It's like he knows he's going down well with the adoptive parents...
heh. NB, as long as he makes you happy, he's fine with us :)
haha, thanks Jes :) well, one set of parents think he's the devil incarnate who led their little boy astray...I'm glad this set of parents are more receptive to his many charms!
*snerk* MY mother told me that I'm a bad influence on myself!
She's not terribly worried about other people corrupting me, so much as the other way 'round.
LOL Jes! Wild child?
I had my moments.
I'm sensing there might be some stories to go with this...;)
well, she did tell me i'd ruined my life after i got my first tattoo.
that nobody would hire me and i'd end up on welfare.
hello all
i told her that if my prospective boss was looking at my ankles during the interview, I didn't want to work for him anyway.
I never told my parents about my tattoos! Some things, they don't -need- to know ;)
i didn't tell her; she saw it when she came to visit (i was wearing a long skirt, but it shifted up when i stepped into the car)
LOL Jes!! What did you get on your ankle? I bet it hurt over the bone!
but she got over it... by the time she found out about the piercings, she'd given up on caring about body mods and just thinks i'm nuts for doing it.
actually, there's only one small area that's over the tendon that hurt. the rest climbs up the side of my leg, and hurt a LOT less than the one on my upper thigh!
what piercings do you have, Jes? My favourite (least painful) tattoo was my lion (for Leo, geddit?)...the rest I was a wimp over!
*looks around cautiously* shhh.....
nipples
oh man, same! just one. We'd better never hug. We might get tangled up...
How are things today? Yesterday was annoying.
hehe! no, mine are full rings, no ends to snag
Do you get an endorphin rush from getting piercings a
or tattoes?
besides, chances are i'd be wearing a shirt of some sort... that whole "avoiding arrest" goal i have
no, kaplan. they just hurt.
LOL! Well YOU may we wearing a shirt ;) no promises on my side. I worked hard on my abs and now clothing seems like a shame...
I don't like pain.
hah! well, it's not MY modesty that keeps me covered... I'd be quite happy to see yours :)
i don't either, kaplan. i'm just crazy is all.
Anyone have the ca 5/14 perchance?
This chat is getting very racy.
It wont help if I cover my ears. What should I cover.
don't, bichon. sorry
Well I'm guessing it's more difficult if you're a laaadyyy :)
LOL Kaplan!
i suppose you could cover the screen... but we can tone down if you prefer :)
Jes gets tattoos beCA*** she likes them
Kaplan, just think of my nipples instead of Jes', and you'll find it less racy and more just...uncomfortable.
No, it's the steamiest conversation I've had all day
Hello everyone
gah. people are so... eh. guy just came to get his dog, and it's running down the hall barking, so wht does the guy do? YELLS at the dog "That is not necessary!" and chases it around. Cuz THAT'S gonna calm it down.
ty lynxxx
OMG Jes- that is funny
Oh, yay. And then he opened the front door and let the dang thing loose outside instead of putting a leash on it. Now he's running around out side yelling "GET BACK HERE!"
I just hope they don't end up out in the road. *sigh*
some people need obediance training
LOL!!
sounds like the owner needs a leash
yay lynxxx! I don't think i've ever been used as a clue before :)
I was a clue once. Embarrassingly, the word was 'queer' ;)
I think everyone should be required to attend Obedience school.
In order to have a license just to interact with society.
heee. but you're proud of that, nb :)
but being disobedient is so much more fun.
well, in theory, that's kindergarten, Kaplan
nothing to be ashamed of, Jes ;) I think it embarrasses some of the men in the chat sometimes though!
ah... yeah, i guess it might. i guess i just tend to assume that everyone here is laid back and tolerant, unlike in the rest of the internets!
I don't get embarrassed because I am beyond gender.
I mean, my babble persona.
heh. i've never met a null before...
I'm very lucky that it IS so tolerant, Jes! It's lovely. Every time someone asks after Leo, like you did, I get so proud and happy.
Is that represented by the grey handbag, Kaplan? ;)
Do you remember Paul Lynde?
Yes
How bout the Brits?
the Brits? As in citizens, or awards?
Do you remember Paul Lynde?
I think NB is a bit young
Had to wikipedia, Kaplan...bit before my time ;)
Look for him on youtube. one of the funniest gay entertainers ever, in the closet days.
Look for Hollywood Squares.
will do, Kaplan. What type of humour, would you say? I'm a huge Eddie Izzard fan
It was kind of wink wink in mainstream media, because he had this searing wit and mannerisms, but gay was never talked about in those days
One liners on Hollywood Squares, some tonight show appearances, Uncle Albert on Bewitched, and the father in West Side Story.
Drink one for Paul!
I was born on his birthday
Hear hear!
sounds great, Kaplan! Will look him up later tonight...after masterchef ;)
i think i'm gonna go get a mocha...back shortly
unless they make me work. at work. how ridiculous!
Bye Jes!
Is there some connection to you Kaplan?
i never work at work
Hi JMC!
hi jmc

I never have to work again!

ty - that's not a proper noun?
I guess it isn't if it is a cracker
also a type of flour
the cracker is a proper noun -- company name
* whispering * Ok...*sniffle*...back to work...
thank stinks Pini. Mayve we will see you tonight
Here it is just a gr cracker made by Nabisco
gr6 is not a brand name. It was the inventor's name, but (like silhouette or leotard) has reached the status of general noun.
Nabisco, Keebler, store brands, all make "gr6 crackers"
Hello, all! I love gr6 crackers!
and the cracker is made from that graham flour
hi Vi
lynxxx, get thee to the PB! lol (Hello.)
ok -- now where is that trivial pursuit game?
what an idiot I am! lol. Instead of the PB I might take Stew for a morning walk, BBL\
Enjoy the walk, lynxxx! And if you need a snack when you return, you know what kind of crackers to have!
ha 5/12? -- this is going to be really painful today

Enjoy!
Ends with Spanish cheer, Mom.
thank Vicuna and hello. I never would have gotten that one
Well, it isn't exactly English!
no, I don't think it is
I think my eyes are tired, they are just not seeing the simpliest of words
I'm off. Goodbye, Mom. Rest those eyes!
bye vye Vicuna
I am off as well. Goodbye to all the those lurking :)
hello all, 8 left here
Hi peri. A little bird (FB) told me it's your birthday tomorrow (Friday).
I was done hours ago, peri, and can clue should you want.
indeed it is, Jacula, I will be 39 again :)
re6/21 pls
Peri - I 'believe' you!:-D
marigold's birthday was yesterday
re6/21 = re plus fossil fuel word (black stuff) that's also in the grid.
Belated Happy Birthday to Marigold.
I'll tell here
*here*
peri - are you doing anything special tomorrow?
her, LOL. I get it.
marigold is taking me to lunch and my goddaughter is taking me out to brunch this weekend.
That's nice. Any idea what you fancy to eat yet?
not getting the re6 even with your lovely clue, jac
well, I lilke sushi and indian food and my sister likes neither :(
peri - what do miners dig out of the ground? Not gold.
maybe a more upscale chinese restauirant.
duh, got the re6, odd word, ty
Go for a Cantonese place, peri. It's the 'cordon bleu' of Chinese cooking.
wiill look into that, Jac
Jac, you keep beating me in Scramble
Peri - LOL, I know. Sorry about that. Maybe it's because you play before bed when you're tired and I play in the morning, more alert?
fireworks, thanks for your help Jac.
that could be the reason, Jac. I do tend to play Scrambe in the evening
y/w peri and CONGRATS. *~*~*~*~*
ty, see you tomorrow, may be on early. may go shopping before lunch
off to fee the cat and then play scramble, *poof*
I'll be here. The UK will have ground to a halt again due to 3 inches of snow.
*feed*
Bye peri. x
*wanders off to put numerous lights out that other family members heading for bed have left on* BBS
Hello, nice to see you all on the chat. Time to move with only 143 words left.
Hi stidgmere. I was looking for the cat. Just found him in one of the bedrooms (where he is NOT allowed).
That cat--hmm. Not here for sure. Rather quiet outside with few birds entertaining us at the moment.
It's dark(ish) outside here, stidgmere, apart from the 'snow light'. It's half past 11 at night, so no birds around, not even an owl.
If you need any grid clues just ask. I have finished the grid.
Finished! Good your you Jacula. Snow again? We are well into spring without the insects that the buds are going to need. Everything is somewhat out of sync. Out of joint is the way Shakespeare put it I think. And not just the weather.
re6/21?
Well done stidgmere. I know what you mean about seasons being out of kilter with nature.
kje - re6.21 = re + black fossil fuel miners dig from the ground.
ty jac
How can you do the black fossil again?
Oh, LOL, I just realised stidgmere was congratulating me on finishing, not saying that she had.
stidg - I suppose you can put more on the fire? *shrugs*
kje y/w
hi friends
Oh, like on the railroad in the olden days. Telling the fireman to re**** the box. Hmmm.
Hi DR just fooling around on the grid.
oc7?
howdy dr
re6/21 is an acronym - REINTEGRATION OF CO4 ASH DISPOSAL SITES AND MITIGATION OF POLLUTION IN THE WEST BALKAN AREA
Hello DR.
kje - Latin plural of the oc6.27 above it.
Hi Stidge, KJE, Jac
oc6.24, I meant.
i swear i typed that hundreds of times!!!!
well, at least twice - ty
y/w kje. Since it comes from a word for sheathing or leggings (greave(s)), and that's a family surname, it's a word I know.
Helo
Hi Herin. Nice to see you.
Hi Herin
Hi Jac. Hi Dr. I have the morning off so its alllllllll good
Hi KJE and Stidie
If I missed anyone sorry I am still not awake
gees sorry I killed the chat
you did not kill it- I am working and babbling at the same time
I'm herin
HI Bichon
Hi fern lady. Just trying to get some c words and finding them not so charming.
no- your bichon
my bichon is helping me find words
I'm flitting between here, FB and my blog and waiting to be asked for clues.
ch5/14 after the 8 please
I am talking to my friend on FB we are talking about how embarissing my class mates are
ch 8 what you burn to barbeque meat
Your first ca word is French for 'snail' (not escargot), Stidg. The next two words have to do with dressage, turning a horse a half turn.
ch8 -(another perspective, artistic this time) = what you draw with.
ty Bichon- I need the ch5 after that one
double the consonant at the end of the burning word, DR.
gr6?
ty Jac
y/w DR.
KJE- John travolta Olivia Newton John movie
thank you
gr6/30 is whole wheat flour, named after S. Gr6.
Failing that, for gr6.24, see DR's clue.
hmmmmm...... must be a british flour?
ty DR - that one I got.... but now you have me humming
No, we call it wholemeal flour. Think of gr6 crackers, US cookies/biscuits.
clue for the sa5 please?
They are the US equivalent of 'digestive' biscuits in the UK. Cheesecake base. LOL
oooooohhhh - duh - ty ty tyh
ok, must run.... meeting colleagues for HH... and I can't drink which sucks big time... bbl
plural of a word for fused bones, and holy, Comes from 'holy bone' in fact.
See you later, kje.
Last clue was for sa5, btw.
Wow I am watching a secret camera thing on what it is like to be 350pounds The lady in question was 120pounds and wore a fat suit. Man people suck
got it jac, ty
well done Seaspray and y/w.
You know that you are having a fantastic morning when you wake up half blind and a cat demanding to be feed before you can get what is out of your eye out
What is it like to be 25 stone? I hope I never find out. I'm overweight enough as it is.
last re6?
DR - last re6 is 'got up out of bed again'.
UGH- a fish!
Jac People are very very rude and uncaring. My friend, who I hadn't seen for a while said the first thing out of her mouth not hi but '' wow you put that weight back on''
*sigh* Here you go, DR ><((((º>`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸.·´¯` ·...¸><((((º>¸. ·´¯`·.¸. , . .·´¯`·.. ><((((º>`·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸.·´¯` ·...¸><((((º>
That is rather hurtful!
thanks Jac!
Herin - that's the way of the world these days. One day they will learn lessons from the past.
LOL, y/w DR.
Fiiiiiiishiiiiiies
Yep I was like yes I have but I have also had a massive study load which involves study home study home study house stuff rinse and repeat
Did you finish herinfernallady? Can I shorten that to herin? By the way, in our chat world we are all tall, thin, blonde, rich, and very, very witty.
I should make a video of me imitating a goldfish. I used to do it to amuse my son when he was a baby, plus an arms wide imitation, with sung by me soundtrack of Thunderbird I taking off. If I try to do that in public these days, not even out in the street like I used to, he hisses at me to shut up. LOLOLOL.
crossy,s bacon tip #634 : if you are having problems peeling off slices of bacon due to a poor cutting job, just turn the pound upside down and peel from last slice to first and bacon joy shall be yours:)
Hi Grandmere Stid. I finish in December. Cal me Herin please
One of the best things about having kids is being able to get your own back on them by embarrassing them in public, just like they did to you when they were younger.
The course, ahh, finish this year. Sounds very nice. Keep up your good work for it will pay dividends down the road.
stidg - I have NO wish to be blonde or very thin and nevr have had.
I'm a curvy brunette and proud of it.
hi all :)
ca7,40, please?
crossy - LOL.
Hello Jess.
Hi Jess.
Stidgere. I hop to go into Law
ca7/40 = ca + type of fish or hippy word for curled up end of fag packet to make a 'filter' for a reefer.
Or maybe a short form of an insect which begins with 'cock'.
thankee
ge5 clue please?
ge + hur*** for fireworks!
y/w jess.
ty jes
ge5 = ge + Egyptian sun god.
WOw thank you for the awesome clues
y/w Herin.
ty too jacula
this grd is twistgy
That's okay Seaspray.
why do I have to have big feet. Damn it.
i know this should be really obvious, but i'm having a total block on how to turn the oc7 into an oc8
Looking for you jess
Jes - take oc5 (the paint colour) and then add 2 vowels and a consonant to the end. Rhymes with no** (sense or knowledge).
Example for the last 3 letters is this... if your boyfriend seems too keen on the woman in the sexy outfit at the party, you are jeal***.
thank you
ty Jac
Now i need one more 7 and 8
thankee, jac!
Aside from being angry and wanted to either trip her up or punch her in the face, that is. LOL
y//w Herin and DR.
Jac never get angry always trip over your feet and spill drink on her (preferabled a red on) :D
LOL Herin.
One of my male friends g.f was really jealous of me so I planted a great big smosshy kiss on his neck. I was wearing a bright red lipstick that was really hard to get off.
So long as it doesn't lead your boyfriend/hubby into the bathroom or kitchen to 'help her wash it off'.
ha5,12 and ha6,21?
Sorry, that's the writer in me going for the 'what if?' plus experience.:-((
ha + spanish bull cheer. and plural for the 7.
Then you leave them to it. Go home toss all his crap out on teh street. Then you have accomplised 2 things. Rid your house of his crap and loss 200pounds :D
LOL, Herin. You should write short stories, too.
I am just evil at times
UK mags love Aussie writers, and Woman's Weekly has a UK and an Aussie form.
They pay quite well, you know.
Evil is the new 'good'.
thanks again, jac
i always miss that one.
y/w jes.
How is this for embarisment . Our teacher asked as yesterday if we were first years as we are so immature. Then she booted out someone for being a smart arse
Words I always miss are niece, aunt and arena. No idea why!
Herin - being a menopausal 5o plus lady, I can quite understand how that happened.
We are second years. The level of immaturity is shocking
Well, as someone said, this grid is not use friendly. Oh, I said it. In any case off to pursue other choices. Keep well.
Hence your tutor's lack of patience the, Herin.
stidg - you only had to ask if you wanted clues.
Jac not really. The teacher should not have to put up with back chat and talking when someone else is
By Stidmere
See you again soon, stidg and stay well.
Herin - maybe she was just waiting to see if it balanced itself out?
gosh knows but I like her. I hate people that talk when others are. It's rude
If she'd looked into the eyes of each one of her class, she'd already have worked out who would act stupid, who would hold back and who would never dream of acting stupid. It's not so hard to see, you know.
I am a bit sick of the 5 atitude. So the less in the class the better
Herin - sometimes, people who interrupt only do it because they were never given a chance to speak before.
No we are not talking about interrupters we are talking about people that talk to their friend next to them about random crap while someone is talking.
Oh, okay. That's different then, and the only answer is a machine gun?
Just tell them to SHUT UP!
Well I still say after being told a lot of times they deserve to be kicked out. No one at our age is told to be there
hi, folks
HI Welki
hello babble friends!
TRIFFFFFFFFFIES
hello herin me love!
If that doesn't work, apologise for interrupting thel lecturer first and then tell the disrupters to either shut up or get out. You might find you are backed up by others in the class.
Jac I missed a lot of education in Highschool because of dipshits that wouldn't stop bullying or talking
i had to give a presentation yesterday, sized up the group pretty quickly (jac, you're right about that). had a couple of jokers in the class ... all adults. when they "acted up," i just stopped talking and looked their way -- which made everyone else look their way. hehehe, i'd picked up a couple of words from their convo and asked them to share the rest of the story :)
Teacher did that. And we are not talking about interuptions we are talking about someone talking to the whole class about the question we have been asked and someone else talking in the background about random crap they are doing on the weekend
Herin - welkki has got it in a nutshell.
GO Welki.
herin, it's really the speaker who should have (or gain) control of their venue, but i feel the same as you
Look if my teacher stopped talking or the person talking we would not get anything done. I am sorry but I have to agree with teh teacher kicking people out. The person in question is a right little smart mouth around her friends
Herin - I know Aussie culture is reknowned for being free roaming, but this is a roam too far. Stand up and make your voice heard! This is unacceptable in a class and the tutor should have stopped it by now.
it's disruptive and rude. a couple of years ago, i did have to boot a couple of gals out of a lecture. they complained, the class and co-instructors backed me up
If the tutor hasn't stopped it, go to the head of the college.
I just stopped talking. I am a loud person when I want to be heard. The dean is bloody hopeless at tiems
i have an idea *boing* herin, after class some day, why not approach the teacher and tell her that those rude folks are interfering with your learning ... maybe she's just oblivious to it
*looks at jac* herin loud? you think that's possible?
hello all, I am taking ten minutes to rest between study tasks. Stidkid #2 has a concert this evening, so not much time to play
I know that several students last year complained directly to the teacher. Did stuff all.
STIDIE you missed your mum (or is taht grandma)
then i guess you slog through this semester and hope you don't have to sit in her class after this one
so, how's the grid?
oh well, I'll see Mother later at the concert. Thanks for letting me know, lady.
welki - Herin had better be loud, after our adivce!
Tuesday is my hell day. All day with this person and not allowed duct tape
the grid is a tricky little minx, stid!
Or even *advice.
O concert What you seeing Stid?
I recommend a water pistol, herin. when miss mouthy gets going, a quick spray should shut her up. Hey, it works with the cats, right?
then approach the dean. you're there to learn, entitled to hear what the instructor says without distraction
How you Triffies
the middle schools around here get together once a year for a "massed bands" concert. It's a lot of fun.
Not with my cats it don't
lol ... then herin would charged with assault!
yes, I agree with welki -- the students who WANT to learn deserve to have an environment that supports them.
Herin - is she just a loudmoputh, or just she just not agree with your opinions?
Awesome Stid
Awesome Stid
Sorry, had to ask that.
Jac she is a loud mouth. It's her nature
Hey if she didn't agree with my opnions not my issue. I am just not allowed to bring the fabric tape to class and taping her mouth shut
I think it sounds like two different things. I don't know what can be done if a student is discussing material in the course - talking about weekend plans is another matter
o knows the couch is eating me. Slowly falling asleep
Try not to mix personal feeling up with class discussions for the dissertation.
dread - time for the olympics. Usually I can't wait for the games, and watch as much as I can....but oh, the coverage has been SO POOR this time around that watching them brings no joy at all. Not enough of the actual events, too many fillers and exposes on polar bears. yeuch
The dissertation is all yours and has nothing to do with group or class politics.
I don't know can someone help me the couch is eating me
*bounces on couch to make it let lady go*
Trifs last night we had ice skating on. This is what Ed the man I loath and commentator and his co host Mike said "" olloy said "they don't leave anything in the locker room these blokes", before a laughing McGuire added "they don't leave anything in the closet either".
can anyone help me with the re6/18?
EXCELLENT!
Oh and then they followed it up by a Brokeback Mountain comment to boot.
re 6/18 got up again
Can I just mention here that I have NO interest in olympics of any kind, and haven't watched any. I did mention that I was sad the 'young boy' on the luge died at the start, but saying hat made me 'an old woman' apparently, since he was 21.
thanks LUV
thanks luv
yw stid and Pinny
who said you're an old woman?! lemme at 'em! *putting up her dukes*
I just can't stand how structured it is now - I miss when they used to show all the competitors, not just the russian, the american, and the chinese....sigh
Jac I have no interest due to lack of coverage and time it is on.
Thanks, welki.x
and, with all respect to the athletes, curling is ass-numbingly dull to watch, yet it's on ALL THE TIME
hm. I will need more help on the re 6 methinks
re 6/18 re + thorny flower
I want HOCKEY damn it
is there an OO today?
I like curling... watch it a lot actually!
I don't 'do' sport, never have.
lol .. i was really interested in the curling because a co-worker was on one of the teams headed towards the olympics. when her team lost, i lost interest. (that said, i still take a peek every now and then)
thanks Luv, a bit brain-numb this evening.
oh, there's another re 6/18 re + English beers
no oo words today
and hockey is on my t.v. right now ... and i hate it! lololol
yes, Im struggling with my last 16 stid
:(
I am down to 82, would like to get the solitary O word for NBT before I head out. help please?
hey bugs
I used to watch darts and snooker when we only had black and white TV, when EX was still around. I also started watching Sumo wrestling just before he left. Got very good a scoring and commentating.
snooker? is that the pool with mushrooms things in the middle of the table?
Other than that, I had a surfeit of football (UK) and tennis in my teens.
sorry stid I don't have all my o's yet and am not too good at telling which tile they come from
that's okey Luv.
hi all
hey Barb.
wonder if anyone got the r in the bottom corner?
so, I have played nearly ten minutes longer than I intended.
HI all. Trying to spend less time in chog and more time in the grid so as to have more time to get ready for weekend away.
R in the bottom corner is RE 6 and was clued recently, try scrolling down.
I will but not sure I was on then thanks
oh, stiddy, I do that ALL The time - I promise myself I will only play for 15 minutes, and 45 minutes later I remember to look at the clock!
ooooh. weekend away!!! if I don't see you again, have a lovely time bugs. see the rest of you-all tomorrow for sure! *poof*
bye stid
HI Bug. I am still getting eaten by the couch
ar 8/50 plz
*loving that Strongbow cider*
hmm have that one must be one of the other re's I don't have
is it the re 4/4; behind?
clue for the Ar 8 please
ar 8: starts like a spider ends like a rock formed by volcanoes
i thought there was 3 re 6's...have two of them can't seem to get the last one And the tile stats say i am missing the bottom re which seems to be the re + english beers
hi all -- finished this terrible grid this aft. - just dropped by to add another gold ring to my icon, but will clue for a while if needed
re 6/18 builds off the re 4/4 above it Barb
cheers Case of grid blindness
hi cybernan

I'm off to freeze Beloved's bum now. Happy Babbling all.xx
i have re al__ which should be right for that corner...lest my tile stats is wrong

Night Jac
or re + my luv is like a red red ****
Hi lady. Just reading the chog again and I could try to rescue from the couch but it just sounds too lovely if you are melting into the cushions
That's it thanks
yw
oh my goodness been racking my brain on that for a while even with the list
any other clues wanted?
I need to many haven't been working long at it thank you so much was getting frustrated with it
I still have 108 to go
this is a very frustrating grid -- one of the worst I've seen since I started playing
Bug thank you. The couch I own is old feather cushions
co 5/2 after the slaws please?
well then I am not the only one makes me feel better at being a new person :)
co 5/12: goes with biller (sound a dove makes)
Just have someone toss some food and drinks to you on occasion and you could be there indefinately. I will toss over some green grapes and a nice glass of white wine for you.
thanks nan
well I can't drink the wine alergies suck...but will take the grapes gladly
sipping on a lovely caol lia here
starting on the o's
How about rum Barb? What kind of drink would suit you?

yep
Ahhh, I begin my break and find that alcohol has seeped into the chat, too!
NANNNNNNNNCY
must check on supper -- brb
(that is, I'm not drinking on my break...I'm a bartender...)
HERIN! Managed to find you on here at last :D I suppose this is a dignified hour down under!
Heard a funny story today. One of the teachers said her mother's concession to being pregnant with her was to switch from rum and Cokes to rum and orange juice because juice was better for the baby!
It is and I have a day off today
lol
wish I had a day off ;) today is my late-late shift. It's half one in the morning...can't afford to get tired yet, though!
back again unless everyone is all set
where do you tend bar, nancy?
Nancy yuo at work or skulking at home?
have to break to make dinner see you all later
bye barb
Cybernan - just a club near where I live in Soho :) I -would- choose the one that stays open till 4 in the morning..d'oh.. Herin - I'm skulking, but in the back room at work...all by myself; too busy to have more than one of us on break at a time!
Ok. Poor Nancy
haven't spent any time in soho yet -- other london areas yes -- usually hit a few when in the city
Good evening to my fellow babblers! How is everyone?
Nah Herin, it's fun ;) mad busy though...as always...the bar is always buried five-deep in people clamouring to get served!
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
ty min -- have you finished?
Oh, awesome, Cybernan, whereabouts have you been so far? This is a great city
oh man, are the Y words pirate noises? If not I give up ;)
I'm not done yet cybernan. I have 23 more words left
My mother was always told not to go near Soho when she was young. It was dodgy and the property prices were really cheap. Yes she is kicking her self over not buying there
Hi Min
we usually stay near Paddington for the ease of getting to and from the airport. This year we only had a few days and spent our time in the city centre, toured Marlybone and went to Greenwich.
Still is dodgy Herin ;)
no comment
Darn it i have to get up and move before i completly sleep
although, Soho has the advantage of being the 'acknowledged' dodgy part of London. It's a commercial kind of dodgy. Truth is, this whole city is dodgy after dark!
Sounds like my Melbourne
doesn't look like anyone needs clues, so I will be on my way :)
Hi all!
I love it here though...it's seedy and noisy and scummy but awesome ;)
Hi Red. Night Cyber
Goodbye cybernan! I will see you tomorrow in the log
hello all
Hi redturtlehead! How are you?Welcome to the puzzle
Hi Pippin.
Hello pippingeek! How are you? Welcome to the puzzle
HI Pip
Hi Pippin, Red :)
How is everyone doing?
just downing another red bull, red. Oooooooooooooh energy! how are you?
hi red, min, nancy, and herin!
hi red, min, nancy, and herin!
I am fine. tired.
Nancy Redbull does nothing for me
and I am going to sound a bit whiney but I am so sick of this cold weather we are having.
I have the feeling it works more on a placebo effect basis. Tastes like medicine though...blech!
pleasantly tired from climbing here
and let's hope it works, because this nancy boy has to get back to work. Good luck everyone!
I did a very big hike yesterday, ended up being about 7-8 miles and today I had to work...
i fed my cat, but for some reason she won't eat it and continues to be a brat and get in my way like when she needs to be fed
ahh she wants love?
hi everyone! oh, did i miss NB?
she's just being needy and bratty but i'm not in a snuggle mood (and she just wants to walk on he keyboard and block the tv and chew my fingers)
hi dawg, maybe....NB are you still here??
Hi lbdawger! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
definitely acts for attention, pip
hi Red!
hi Min! i'm doing well, thanks, and yourself?
watching the slalom, I am amazed at how fast these guys go...
I am doing well lbdawger. Had a busy day.Got my car serviced & then went to two dog parks with my dog.
over 100 miles an hour! scary!
ahh, be the pupster enjoyed the play time.
*bet the pupster...* magic fingers tonight.
2 parks in one, day. a lucky dog.
Popcorn and Dr Peper is breakfast right
The first dog park I went to he just sat by gate door the whole time. Then I drove a 1/2 an hour to second dog park and he ran around there. He had fun there.
it works for me, herin.
oh, maybe the first one had a bad vibe for him, like bullies or something?
HI LB and I belive it works for me too
Pip your cat is being a pain as she;he is bored stupid of their food.
herin you're making me hungry - and i just finished dinner!
Haven't eaten today
I need to eat something. never time at work.
you need to carry some dried fruit or something in your pockets, red
i had lunch date food, went climbing, got dinner, and i'm ready for more already
brb, need to put laundry in dryer
Pip that is why you are hungry. Climbing makes you hungry
I did eat some soup and a cookie.
Yippee kiyay ..
Hi tor!
that's good, red. Hi Tor!
Hi Torg
Back in sunny SoCal ..
where's ya been, tor?
Torg my friend did a blog on Fresno
Yes tor were you been?
I was in Detroit over the holiday weekend working .. Wrecked the whole thing, from Friday night on ..
you wrecked thr project?
oh, the work wrecked your weekend...
back in an hour...bones!
Later lbd ..
Fresno, eh?
Yes
Were you at?
http://31daysoffresno.blogspot.com/ this is my friend Kimmies
She even got to speak to the Mayor
I live in San Diego .. Light years from Fresno ..
O right sorry dense much here. Geographically challenged or what
It's ok .. California is a big place ..
I am wondering were everyone went?
i just realized that i never watched last week's project runway and am catching up
I wish I had that here
that's what surfthechannel.com is for
i so rarely watch tv when it's actually on
Pip is not working for us as we are outside of USA
I am watching Dog the Bounty Hunter one of the crew had a go at the bosses misses. She nearly decked him
this is what my life is resorted to on my day off
this grid is not fun anymore Later gators
anyone watching the olympic coverage?
uh oh, i killed he chat ...
I think it was sickly ..
herin, i thought surf the channel was primarily an outside the us website, i guess i was wrong
pumps vitamins into chat...
or maybe your country has more stringent pirating laws and has figured out to block access
i have an olympic coverage question for the canadians in the chog
i know they are getting it on three channels, that all i know...
could anyone give me a clue for the ma6,24 please
see, my father was insisting that they would be watching it via nbc's coverage, and that didn't seem right to me
barb, mexican shakey-shakey instruments
plus a plural
they can watch via nbc, but they also have CTV, which we dont have access to in Florida. Scrabbs can see it in NY
thank you
Good evening to everyone. finished this morning but wanted to drop by and say hi.
No pippin, tell your Dad you are correct. We are watching it on a Canadian network CTV as well as TSN and anotaher sports one called TNEP or something. NBC is the last one to choose because they only give biased reviews on the US athletes and show only the top ones
I am finding the grid to be a bit errr, hard.
i thought it would be a ctv thing
this grid is full of ridiculous words red. I am done now if anyone wants clues from a bad cluer who is watching the skating at the same time.... :)
I am at exactly half way 72/72
the comment that inspired the debate was an nbc commenter talking repeatedly about "americans" rather than us citizens, and he thought canadians would be offended since "they are americans too"
keep going red
my dad thought, that is, not the commentator
I dont think Canadians consider them selves Americans, even if they live in North America.
ROFL pippin! Canadians are MUCH more offended by being called Americans!! We have our own unique identity and are proud of it.
NBC's Olympicâ„¢ coverage sucks eggs ..
Not a fan of the US snowboarding "Uniforms" too casual and baggy...
that's kind of what i thought, that being part of north america isn't the same as being american
for instance, Americans vote for who they want to win an election. Canadians vote thinking, Well I can't let that idiot get elected so....
That's cause we have so many more idiots....
hi BJ
sadly, that is too true brandy
hi-YA
hi kje
Heya K ..
they may not be in the same league as the ones south of the border, but we still don't want them having too much power....
Hello kje! How are you doing? Welcome to the puzzle!
hey Minver
doing well, min... need 19 more so I can go to bed!
and the only reason we have that idiot Harper in charge is because the other leaders were weaker than him!!!! (can you tell I don't approve of the HST? brandy?)
HI kje
70 more for me....
eek! red
I wouldn't make it - I am exhaustigated
if no-one needs me to be a bad cluer, I will get ready for tomorrow. Nite all!
I am also exhaustigated..
good night bugs, nice to see you
gn bugs
Goodbye Bugsaw! I will see you tomorrow in the chog
heck with HST, don't like him sucking up to his colleagues down south. Wonder what idiot we'll elect next time. Don't think anyone will stand for that coward anymore.
nite
boy these m's are hard
lots and lots of c's
I am missing one M, but more C's
clue on ma7,36 please anyone
well i've mostly always voted for the less offensive candidate, but maybe i'm odd?
ma7 is plural of the 6
best part, i told dad what you said and he insists they used to be offended by americans coopting the term, and that the rejection of it now must be some sort of coping mechanism
ma6 - almost sounds like a north african country
well that will get me thinking....OUCH my brain hurts lol
he really doesn't do a very good job of not being right
their cusine has wonderful tangines, if that helps
think of the mexican shaking objects barb...
i love to play the shakey-shakey instruments!
yep... sounds somewhat like them too, but I thought spelled differently
okay got all my m's

What do you mean what brand 72 Temple Owl? It is a bracelet made out of murano beads for icon theme.
Hi, all! And fireworks, too...
It is advertised on pandorasbeautifulbeadbox.com.
Congratulations Jellen on your fireworks! Good for U!
I have a murano bead on my Pandora bracelet...
well is it pandora ?
May I please have a clue for ar8-50? Thanks
ok sorry, cross posts. night!
ar8/50 is ar plus high card plus Mickey M***e gapeach
Thanks much, Minveryork.
minver... that is the BEST clue for that ar8 yet!
great clue!
thanks
are you in the city min?
Hello dixmak! How are you? Welcome to the chat log!
Nope. I'm in Dutchess County; way far from the city.
how old r u DM?
thank you! still have 91 words left but im plugging away!
i don't live too far from NY; 40% of our town's population (about 1800) are NY weekenders
out total population is about 1800
I live close to the Connecticut border.Where are you
am I DM ADHD?
yep
20
My sister & sister-in-law live in Connecticut though.
curious about your screen name because, well just wondering if it was intentional
haha
I'm in Bridgewater
well, was it intentional DM?
?
I have heard of Bridgeport, Ct, but not Bridgewater.
lol
bridgeport yuck
Hubby wants computer so I need to ask for clues for my last three words.I hate asking so close to the end
bridgewater is the smallest town in the state... no industry at all, just working farms; one village store/post office/bakery/bank/fruit stand/ice cream stand
ask away min
Is that oc 8/55 word an extension of that oc7 word?
sry DM, just curious how you got/formed your screen name
C's Completed! 1 left
yes min it is
haha im jk.
oc8 is oc5/14 + Mickey M***e
Thanks. Please clue no more, I want to find it myself.
?? jk about?
ok min
yes its intentional
your hobby?
haha. im actually of the female persuasion
and no
lolololololololol
i thought it was pretty funny too
i played "words with friends" on my ipod with a guy using almost the same screen name... wasn't sure if you were that person... he was so vulgar I quit
have you been babbling long?
I am done! I have fireworks!oc8/55 was my last word
May I please have a clue for oc5-12? Thanks
haha id like to consider myself descretely humorous at best. i just joined last night, but i was hooked boggle before this and text twist before that. haha
i sound like im addicted
oc 5/12 is o + anagram of land measurement gapeach
i dont understand the clue codes
I have to share computer w/hubby so I gotta go now
Thanks again, Min.
Goodnight to my fellow babblers!I'll see you tomorrow
yw
cheez DM this is WAY better than any other word game out there! best for the chat and clues.
what don't you get?
are you using lickety's list?
nite min
did minver get fireworks? did I miss it? sry if I did... WOO HOO MINVER!! WTG!
you there DM?
babble is played like boggle, but we give clues to each other and the letters under the grid correspond to the grid, letting you know how many words start with each letter of the grid.
if you click on the lickety's babble clues link, you'll get a list of the first two ltrs of each word and how many points are in each word.
do, did you kill the chat?
YAY Evan Lysachek!!!
May I please have a clue for ca7-40? Thanks
um, okay then, yay!
hey... i was wondering where everybody went
it's an insect pest started by the 1st 2 letters of a familiar word for auto
ca + restaurant bug lol
oh, hey, jilli, the date was a pooper, but at least i got a free lunch
Thanks ADHD and pipp.
yw
hi jilli
hey Babblers - can i get a clue for the oc8 please
oc8 oc5/14 + Mickey M***e
i'm trying desperately to stay awake for the flip mmmmm
May I please have a clue for ma6-24? Thannks
spanish musical instrument
ma6/24 and 7/36 think of a clinkety "instrument"
ma6=rhythm instrument you shake
a rattle (seeds inside)
Yep, I can see it but can't get it together yet. Thanks anyway.
thx ADHD
ma 6/24 ma + Daytona 500 vehicle: ***ec*r
phant racercar
(which does not mean what it might sound like)
hi all -- I'm exhausted!
hi jilli
hi yourselves!
Was watching the men's skating finals -- whew!
exhausted fr the grid jilli?
just popping by to say hello and goodnight before i crash - early work day tomorrow
nite pippin
not the grid -- still 29 to go -- no time today
hello everyone
hiya westie!
I just watched the skating too jilli
hi do
phant lachrymose
hi watched earlier... did you see the snowboarders?
our NBC station lost coverage right after yevgeny's score
and came back for the medal ceremony
oh no, west!
that's the pits west
snow boarding gives me a heart attack I can imagine how their mothers feel
well, at least you saw the result, west!
I don't think I missed anything
and we have late night coverage too
I didn't see the snowboarding today -- had visitors and jobs to do
saw Shaun yesterday -- today was the ladies, wasn't it?
yep
actually we watched the guys tonight we tivo'd it
I'll go to NBC for their version now :)
the coverage is so good
May I please have a clue for re5-14? Thanks
ladies'alf pip on NBC here now
the apple is high and out of your re***
Thanks much, westford.
*half pipe (sorry -- happy hour with friends earlier)
that's a clue for peach
oh good not sure if you saw it
jilli you sounded cockney just then lol
oo, me, luv?
just saw a scary fall, ach!
our local news is on now and then the late coverage will begin it's mostly highlights
I still like my phant -- carapace
I thought of that one too
it's so buggy
I like my phant carousel
me too grem
we have one in our park and it's still 10c to ride
I believe this is the only Olympic coverage on NBC here, starting at 9 pm PST, but there may be others on MSNBC or other channels earlier
I haven't seen any of this year's Olympics.
I should say FULL coverage
oh what a shame grem it's just the best in a long time
what a pity, grem -- why not?
I do remember that I watched some of the 1998 Olympics coverage in Norway, because I got the bonus question on my chemistry test which was recent Olympic trivia.
a couple of Brit sorehead reporters have said it's the worst Olympics ever
sour grapes
I don't care about the results nor do I find the winter games interesting.
hello fellow babblers. back from our beautiful holiday in tasmania.
I admire the athletes and their dedication
I find things interesting which I never expected until I watched them and learned something about them
oh hi rose how nice !!
hi granny -- welcome back!
how did your ankle hold up?
thankee all. 8 days was just not long enough. so much to see and do.
Maybe I'm just not a winter sports person - I watch a lot of American baseball and football during the seasons, but never hockey.
Hi! Came back for flip and last minute clues if needed
brb guys
I used to watch hockey until our Bruins went belly up
not too bad westy. did a fair bit of walking and was glad when we booked into our motel
hello min nice to see you
that's good rose wouldn't have been much fun if you were stuck in your room
my enjoyment of learning about unknown things is why I like the icon themes
I know what you mean jilli I had to find out about the luge
Oh, I like learning things too, but there is so much to learn about the universe that I have to set priorities.
already planning our next trip over there. with the physio, i predict it will be a little later this year. * sigh * i know you guys and gals have the rockies etc, but i was gob-smacked by the basalt mountains over there.
you can't learn everything grem so why not have some fun
That's what I'm doing now - games.
something I'd like to know about the snowboarders is why they wear those handkerchiefs over their faces and those ugly fat pants with low crotches which make them look like Toulouse Lautrec
and the lakes!!!!!! on the mainland we don't have anything like what is in tassie.
as long as you're enjoying yourself grem
Any guesses for next grid size?My guess is 102 words
how did you get there rose was it part of a cruise?
I bid 103, Bob.
so...* settles down * did you lot miss me??
my guess is 210
we did we did
of course, granny!
westy, we over on the spirit of tasmania ( a huge ferry )
Haven't had many big ones lately, but they've still been challenging.
340
hi everyone, I suggest 168
took our own car, and had a ball.
how long is the ferry ride, granny?
hope not jilli lol
hi flosey
hi flosey :)
hi jilli, did you get my email?
jilli, a little over 10 hours.
hi west
Hello flosey! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
so do I west -- bridge afternoon
great thanks Min, and You?
that's far !!
hello everyone -- back for more punishment :)
we went overnight, slept like babies in their mother's arms.
our oldest daughter is on break this week and she's coming down for lunch
yes flosey -- how did it go? Did Sylvain talk your ear off?
hi nan this one will be big and easy
I'll get the whips and chains, nan.
lovely for you west
westy, from port melbourne to devonport it's nearly 400 kilometers
yes, jilli, non-stop but I am quite pleased with the cut
granny, overnight sounds perfect for a ride like that
I'm looking forward to it we haven't seen each other since Christmas and that was a houseful so no chance to really visit
I certainly hope so west
I asked him about the product spoke of, he said I don't need anything
good, flosey -- I shouold have warned you but he is fun, oui?
it took nearly 2 1/2 hours just to get out of port phillip bay. that';s the melbourne end.
rose on the map it looks a lot closer
he's right, flosey -- you have beautiful body ;)
understand West, same here but one daughter came a day ahead and the other stayed a couple days later
jilli, after the experience of our first day on our vanautu cruise, it was a piece of cake
this is a triple conversation!
Jilli, I was just getting tired of the length - that's when I couldn't do anything
triple, multiple,
that's what I love about babble lol
yes, indeed west
I'm dying to see the result on Monday, flo
Hello cybernan! How are you? Welcome to the puzzle!
very short jilli
westy, one day must work out how to post the picture of australia with the majority of uk and europe within it's boundaries.
DONE with a minute left
congrats herin

WTG Herin, good for you

oh rose I know it's big..don't you have 5 time zones?
i have a question...?
At least you didn't wait till the last minute.
(((((((herin ))))))))
yes ML ?
lol -- that's not hard granny -- UK is about the size of Vancouver Island
westy, lol, something like that....
HI
hi herin and yay !!
Aussie got gold in ladies' half-pipe!!! YAY!!!
and you can cross Europe in 8-9 hours driving time
hi OSGD
WTG HERIN!!!!
