I sent it all to our US accountant, but, of course, what I sent wasn't complete....so searching for missing papers etc. And then I had to deal with the French tax authority - got a bill from them but was able to provide enough of last year's stuff so they "forgave" the bill.
In past years I had my own business, gave birth to a child, or got a divorce.
my son says that having his own business makes his taxes a difficult mess

ahhh that WOULD make this year more straightforward indeed...
we aren't supposed to pay twice because of the tax treaty, but it's not so easy to go and talk to them because NOBODY speaks English. Fortunately, a few years ago, I gave this same tax lady a jar of homemade jam. She remembered!
But I do have a lot of business mileage to calculate and write off... but it will be worth it.

peri, all the s's I have are 4s, except for one 5. there are def a couple of weird ones in there - keep mixing up the vowels and you will get there
