Flo, I'm sure you're expected at the luncheon!
I would expect so
maybe some of you can help me... my son wants me to get a rea sweet wine.... he likes lambrusco but i can find it around here... and suggestions??
was asked my opinion on change of menu
Oh I see, Doug -- I'm not exactly up to date with singers
red wine that is or any sweet wine
One of the most instantly recognizable songs of...well, ever! Except for dun-dun-dun-DUN
24 to go - I have to finish soon cos I'll be away for 2 weeks and I need to pack
menu was changed from what to what?
He was from the 80's, jilli
well done as usual, anike!
Doug, I'm from the 40s, lol!
I'm from the future, but don't tell the government
from chicken (I think) to a wrap
But I'm struggling and no time to mess around
sweet red or white?
Well, I suppose that would explain why he doesn't ring a bell
either one ruru-- i know zip about wine ( except merlot which I like)
Isn't sauterne a sweet white?
he might like an amarone from Italy
a wrap? That should be interesting!
mmmmmmmmmm, guess so
I agreed with the majority
can i get it for 5 bucks a gallon?
or a late harvest zinfandel..
I actually purchased my first bottle of wine today. It's a Burgundy Pinot Noir
he would like the new Prisoner.. that is sweet

Oh, news is talking about floods in RI -- wonder how westford is doing
I haven't seen west online for several days
worst flood in 100 years! Residents asked to leave...
wow, hope she's ok
hope her house is on a hill!
really must go now, 30 for tomorrow
poof
wd, flo!
and poof here too
hey babblers!
Hello pippin!
hi douglas
looks like a slow night for the chog
Most people either finished early or left earlier
i guess i'm not normally here at this hour either
Just read your profile...what is your field of study?
i was in social foundations of education, but i left school over 3 years ago
You would have had to say "Well, the research says" many, many times...
Hello everyone
hi lynxxx
Hello lynxxx...just pippin and me, and the lurkers
Very quiet here too - seems like all of Melbourne has left to take an Easter break
wish it were quiet here - busiest week of tourist season
still, can't complain about making a little money...
You are still in Florida Pipping?
yup. last day of work is the 11th
12.5 hours today. but $300 kind of made up for it
cha-ching!
Not meaning to be rude but is that good money? I sometimes hear how much US people make and wonder how they live - however it does seem food is very very cheap compared to here
I seem to recall there's a difference between US$ and A$, but I forget the exchange rate
Hi and very quickly Most of Melbourne is on Warrigal Rd or Bell Street. pita to get home
not much diff at the moment AUD1.00 buys USD.90
hi Infernal
well around here rents are on average about $700 monthly for a one bedroom
so if you figure it that way then $300 for one day is a pretty good haul
I'll say!
mmm, ramen noodles. i feel better
I don't rent anymore happily. Just checked one bed flats in this area $1700 pm seems avg!
the problem with my 12.5 hour day is i didn't get a chance to eat or sit down except for 2 10-minute breaks i carved out over the course of the day
you are still doing the rock climbing?
yes. going tomorrow, and hopefully will have a lunch date beforehand
I'm enjoying making the noodles, sipping the broth, then eating the noodles with butter and other seasonings
are you both having midnight snacks?!
morning - how many words today??
110 Diann
it's past 3am, i doubt it counts as a midnight snack. i just needed some dinner!
Lynxx house up the road sold for $600 000 for a 2 bedroom unit
I think they need to hike up the interest rates so that prices settle down Infernal
I think they need help
BBS got a bouncing dog that needs attention
good morning! We have snow!!! AAAArghh
HI RUby
morning all
and yesterday, planted my baby lilac -- alas!
hi sprite, is that a Van Dijk I see in your icon?
HI Srite
opps sprite
a Van Dijck? Not sure, could be.
I am of a mind to tell people not to say so many Hail Mary's. We have loads and loads of hail today.
I thought that spring was here.....NOT
Wow
in dutch we have this rhymes, rubyfoo: maart roert zijn staart, april doet wat ie wil: march sweeps with its tail, april does what it will.
meaning you never know what the weather will be in those months.
in US, March comes in like a lion, goes out like a lamb! Not here, evidently
it's not terribly cold, but it's very depressing to see snow again
*these rhymes
not here either
you ok, lady?
good morning diann. your name is in the grid
munch munch munch I just had dinner served thank gash
lucky herin!
lovely :) I had breakfast, so am proud of myself.
Hello Sprite & Ruby. Maybe you aren't going to have a Spring/Summer at all?
I'll blow myself up!
hi lyn, of course we will! It will be a little late and then come in with a vengeance. (or else!)
YEs very lucky I probably would have had toast
darn there are many gerunds that won't work today.
I haven't looked yet
it is the double N there. Keeps the G away from most gerunds. But not from all.
half, yay, but this is a very hard grid compared to the last couple of days.....
50 left here and getting nearer to the wall, I think. So far an ok grid.
Sorry eating
I wondered what that crunching noise was
anybody have the 7 or the 8?
oh yeah - got the 8
wtg lyn!
TY Sprite - it uses your end which I hadn't even noticed
oh yeah, that Lynxxxx, not just another pretty face!
thanks, will try and find it now then :)
I wish
ra8, I got it! thanx
thanks
thanks again, found it
hi all - just got the 7 - ja 6/7 combo
hi Kazz - TY
THat is a word?
fart
hi Kazz, looking, thanks
oops sorry about that
and plural, kaz hahah
ok Kazz, lol, I smell you
oh dear, what can the combo be?
yes - just stopped myselft from typing that as well
cool, found them, thanks again
i cant even clue it - i thought i was making a word up
Good morning,evening all.
hi haz
morning Haz. Did the snow come or do you have hail like us?
it's funny, which words are accepted by scrabble, but not here
a very well known wood here!
ja6 - looks like what you put jam in (but use a double helping of the consonant), then two letters of satisfaction or surprise.
hi haz!
Good morning Haz
Yes, we had snow although it's now cleared. We had freak weather conditions with an ice storm that has knocked out electricity supplies for thousands.
what a funny word!
but ty haz
Thankfully the winds have settled down and we're left with icy hail.
here it is hovering at about freezing, I'm hoping that the flowers don't get hurt
jeed
we had the storm, but no ice buildup luckily. Last hiccough of winter?
ja6 is an aboriginal word
You're welcome, ruby. You were right that what we get weatherwise makes its way to you eventually.
im off to the pb to refuel on some coffee obviously the brain has not woken up yet
It is tree the JA
I hope it's over; I'm wearing 3 sweaters and a muffler (in the house!), look like the Michelin man!
ah coffee, great, will join you there shortly, Kazz
me, too, kaz
I do hope it's the last we see of wintry weather, I'm ready for a change.
oh yes
It is just heading into winter here :(
yes, but you don't have snow, do you herin?
no
I wouldn't live here if we did
you've had your summer, now it is our turn :)
yep
I think Sprite needs summer the most!
snow is fun. Only it has gotten a bit old after all those months. We had a few winters' worth all at once this year.
don't we all, rubyfoo :)
snow cold
anyone for the ni 6/27 at all
BBL
hmzz no not me yet, sorry
bye for now lyn
I have only one n, ni4/5!
bye lynxx!
ni6/27 - if it began with m, it would be tiny (same structure)
thanks Haz
You're welcome. New word to me.
can't remember seeing it before either
too hard for me!
ta haz - just got it
Ruby, first three letters the same as the ni4 that you have, then three letters meaning to obtain.
it means a fool
to play the fool, or fool. Also a black one of those tiny insects (?) is in one of the references.
thank you,
So, a tiny fool would be a mi***** ni6/27?
I'm writing it down!
yea!
sounds like it's describing me!
indeed Haz. Will remember!
there are some lively phantoms: tasting, ingest, etc
in time we will all become able to call people such Babblishious names they won't even be offended.
lovely (maybe lively, too)
don't you clal me a nidget! lol
Oh Ruby! Straight to the PB...
baddddd rubyfoo. Off to the sin bin.
oh no! talk about a ni****!
*wisely refrains from answering that one* ;)
well that saves me from thinking
I hope there's coffee!
and cake!
*blusking*
there is coffee, made by Kazzer. Which is good coffee. Don't know about cake. But I left pancakes.
and I'll bring the maple syrup!
and good French butter -- how bad is that
a coffee klatsch for dummies (ni****s)
mmm just had an idea pancakes bacon and maple syrup for breaky
hey, maple syrup is good!
yummy lady, can I come?
THe real deal
that's my favorite! I even found American pancake mix in Switzerland
the bacon here isn't very good though
oh cool, rubyfoo. Oh I would kill for a true French croissant. The ones you can get early morning in a small french village.
I don't know what the French do with the maple syrup
I buy Jiffy mix or make my own I love my make my own
we have great ones in our village
usually make my own. They are yummier.
I make my own crepes, but never tried pancakes from scratch!
crepes suzettes for company as my husband won't eat them
we have croissants here as well, but it is no comparison. Not the aroma, not the taste, not even the structure. Just the model.
My mother told me I was very bad
when my son as very small, crepes were the only way I could make him eat eggs!
thank you all for the lovely clues - i have my fireworks - off for brekkie and coffee - see you all soon
Well done Kazzer!
wtg Kazz, and thanks for the coffee in the PB!
fireworks! and I have 41 words left.....
yay, kaz!
crepes are great. I always make very thin pancakes, don't like the thick ones.
Enjoy Kaz
I have a special small frying pan I only use for crepes
with fresh orange juice, sugar and Grand Marnier, set on fire!
don't worry, rubyfoo, you haven't been playing this game for as long as we have.
Don't give your husband any more ideas of creative fire lighting, ruby.
when the babble group comes here, I'll make a ton of them; they can even be made in advance with waxed paper between
raofl!
or add enough of the explosive stuff and make a job of it?
i have a lovely pancake pan - my fav but hubby wont let me eat them too often as they are not good if you are on a diet - but i got some good maple syrup from Asda the other day and i love it with bacon
is the diet still going well, Kazz? I read in your profile you have been doing it for quite a while. I think you deserve a pancake day once a year!
my husband wont eat sweets and he's as thin as he was when he got out of the army (WW2!!!)
Ruby I make these: http://tinyurl.com/ye3g3u4 very very tasty
he's really vain
he probably thinks this song is about him
Kaz you can sugar free maple syrup
with his apricot scarf!
snort Sprite
Apricot scarves for men are in short supply in this town....
I wrote down the website, heri
vain is another phantom (but not in this house!)
lol Haz, I bet! And morning all. Just here for 10 minutes at the moment.
I remember being on holiday in Italy with husband, we were window shopping and marvelling at the fashions for men. He concluded, sadly, that while yellow trousers looked fine in the shops in Italy, they might look a bit out of place at home.
you must have tried viande several times too, rubyfoo. I know I did ;)
hi Sally
Good morning, Sally.
hello sally! Are your teeth all better? Be careful, we're talking about maple syrup
unless they were rubber and went up to his chin, Haz
Now there's a surprise, you're all talking about food again.
Is that a new fashion statement sprite?
Absolutely, he spends his days swathed in green waterproofs.
Ruby make damn tasty pancakes. Hi Sally
funny, my husband and I have matching waders from our fly-fishing days!
hey I resent that. I am talking about rubber trousers :)
and men's fashion
Sally: those are trousers to walk in water and stay relatively dry. Never went out of fashion here.
better than a rubber room, which I'm about ready for
I thought rubber trousers were something you might need when you got very old :-)
now my husband uses his waders to clean the fishpond
Only joking sprite. I knew what you meant really. I was writing in ironic font.
come on rubyfoo, those are good too. You can go bananas in there, have a ball, throw in a tantrum or two or five or 13, and nothing has to be replaced afterwards.
ah, missed the font, grin.
once he slipped and they filled with water and he had to be lifted out (by the handyman, not me) or he would have drowned!
lol rubyfoo, love the image
I hope you had your camera ready ruby!
and he broke the fountain part in the middle!
not that he's accident-prone or anything, lol - ruefully!
big girl's diapers. Alas, no need to be old before one might need them. Am a Tena girl!
bad hubby. See, a rubber room would have been much easier.
what's Tena?
and if either of you must go into a rubber room, you can borrow my rubber ducky.
diapers for big girls, rubyfoo. Tena Lady.
Sprite saves the options of missing the end of a movie :D
aha, I'll see if they have them in France!
lollllll
is that what astronauts wear?
I seriously doubt it
Astronauts are solely chosen on their powers of bladder control.
Don't believe all this stuff about being clever etc.
mind over bladder
They make sure there are no running taps in space, that's for sure.
no talking about water at all too
*either
lol Haz. Reminds me of after child birth when I could not go, and they turned on all the taps. It worked!
I know! I wonder what part of the brain is involved in associating the noise with the desired effect on the bladder?
Which reminds me ... BRB
I don't know, but I know my children don't have it. I tried the running tap often but to no avail.
stop talking about it! and no sneezing!
We know where you're goooooooooing.
I have been coughing pretty badly for the last 7 weeks. Have been using up the tena lady's in record time :)
I hope there are no gents on here.....
Right, must just nip out to collect himself's pills. Be back in 10 minutes or so.
my husband calls it geting the bill and the past due notice at the same time!
They're all away practising their bladder control so that they can be astronauts.
very apt
sounds like time for kegel exercises and I am not explaining that
mummy, when I grow up I wanna be an astronaut! Well darling, then here is where your training starts...
did you read about that female astronaut who wore them when she was stalking the married guy a couple of years ago?
they don't work, herin, at least for me!
fireflies. Must be off, thanks for the help and fun all.
bye sprite! always lovely to see you
Bye sprite, see you again.
Loves sprite
we all loves sprite!
the snow stopped but I'm making soup anyway. I think I'll have pancakes for lunch, though....your fault
I am not to blame
it's OK, nice to have something to make me hungry!
have 72 words and have hit a wall. Thanks for all your help, ladies, and see you later
Bye, ruby, you're doing well!
ty haz, your help and encourgement are appreciated!!
and herin's recipes! ((hugs))
You're always welcome, ruby. I'll see you again soon!
I'm heading off as well. Bye for now!

hi all
hi Boo
morning, boo
Hi Boo
My friend pranked everyone today by saying he married his g.f Lots fell for it. I told his girl that why would you get married. Paper work is annoying and you both have the same last name so who cares (They are not related)
Sixty is that your pup?
yes someone dumped her off here a few weeks ago. we named her lady she is sweet.
just made our brood large. now have 4 dogs and many cats. (all outside I live in the country)
awww You going to keep her? she looks so sweet
Looks like lab and shep in her
Yes I have never been able to turn away an animal. she came with a brother but cousin loved him and took him they visit from time to time.
wwww cute
how can people do that
i mean dumpthe pups
I dont understand how people can do that. As far back as I can remember just about all the cats and dogs my family has had have been ones people drop off.
good morning everyone ... I slept in today for the first time in years
Good morning Merk
think about what people do to people ... sad
hi merk
We nurse them back to health and try to find good home but if not we keep can not turn one away.
My son just 'adopted' a two month old pit bull and golden retriever cross. He has two children, four and six. Does the mother in me have to worry about that particular mix of breeds?
depends on the dog, depends on your son ... could grow up to be a wonderful companion animal with proper training
No have had pit bull and rotwieler(spell?) both were great with my son when he was 3. as long as you teach dog and kids to play nice.
No its called supervision of child and dog
You never ever leave a dog with a child unattended.
a lot of my work revolves around responsible pet ownership ... it's not usually "breed behavior," but "owner" behavior that contributes to the "bad dog" syndrome ... there is no "bad dog," only bad owners
and don't start me on passive training of dogs
<-- always takes the dog's side
Good morning, fellow bipeds.
Hi Judi
It is the responsibility of the owner to watch over and teach always comes back to owner
hi, judi *woof*
hi Judi
thanx for the input
is it his first puppy, merk?
7 left think I might finish before going outside to work.
Passive training of dogs doesn't work. I was watching this video of Cesar Millan and apparently he choked a dog into submision. in fact the dog was not trained and as soon as he bit Cesar Cesar pinned him on the ground with one hand and then let go and the dog layed there going hey I got told
No, they had a beagle and trained her well. But when they adopted their son, she was jealous and couldn't handle it no matter how they worked with her.
That is because the beagle was there first.
Ceasar Milan is awesome. I just wonder if the pet owners realize how clueless they look on his show.
the more people I meet, the better I like my dog.
My friends dogs are both trained with techniques passive trainers say is terrible. Yep she tortures her dogs with imported specialty dog food, holistic care, walks training and love. Yep charge her with cruelity
hmmm .. the puppy will grow large and strong. i guess if they had a hard time introducing their new son into the "pack," they might need some help learning how to train a much bigger dog
Damn straight FM
OPPS JM
Fireworks - well I am off to clear more brush from my fence line. Have fun everyone. *poof*
dogs respond best to a calm dominant pack leader.you cannot be lovey dovey, they cannot be your "babies" they are dogs, you are their leader.they will be happier and you will be happier
I love my friends three dogs. One of them is so nasty she is a lap dog at her large size and I use as a pillow but I wouldn't go into her back yard if her mum wasn't home
and that was crossy,s 2 cents worth lol
Take me to your leader
Hi All
howdy hego
very good advice crossy!
any clue for the 2nd in5 ?
Dogs are much like children. They need boundaries and discipline.
Crossy always has good advice.
:)
but dogs seem to learn quicker than children! and the lessons stick longer!
but our one kitty rules with a velvet paw lol
They're brains are less complicated.
Kitties rule!!
HEGO: kids or dog brains are less complicated?
yep Kitties rule
LOL dogs JM
My friend told me that when his kid is born he will be using his demon voice when the kid is misbehaving. This wont be hard for him as he has the best low voice.
Poor baby!
Are there any words in here?
Hego he is 6ft 9 and a big pussy cat.
That might work, herin. Until the kid is about 12 or 13. Then your friend will just get sprayed with garlic and be subjected to the eteral eye roll.
Big guys usually are.
garlic Judi?
Keeps demons away, hego. So I'm told.
AHHHHH!
No see if this kid starts kicking up a stink as a toddler he can just hold kid at arms length no damage done.
I also suggested we make up cards for the baby that allow the kid to sit on dads shoulders such as Registered Person Climber, Allowed to sit at heights
It's going to be a big kid. Hope wife is a big woman.
Yer well I am looking at buying baby clothes for newborn labled 6 months plus
He was born at 14 pounds his brothers not so little girl was 10 pounds so yep I will be bi passing newborn stuff for them
Good idea.
So with delight I will be freaking out baby stores
Love baby shopping.

(not you, soodle!)
hi everyone! Finished R's. Easy
ty beach. I can't believe I didn't see it! :)

Harp, I worked on the last 2 census's in this country. the forms here were delivered and collected by the likes of me. Do you not get your forms collected?
i turned mine in, soodle, just making conversation!
vi 5 - good food vi plus conjunction word
I've always wanted to work for the census but every time they call me i'm too busy
thanks science
I really enjoyed it. I met the most interesting people - people who I wouldn't normally come across in my ordinary life!
I've done other surveys and just thought I should work for the Mother of All Surveys some time!
hi gang. if kje comes on anytime today, can someone send her a message to check her facebook account? it's been hacked, someone's sending out scam links with her name.

With the change over Comcast just made, I cant use my little drop down TV in the kitchen - drives me crazy

nm
hints for the first two j's?
Why mom?
I'm looking for them, too, Hawknoah
I guess it is not digital cable ready so will need a box - I am not going to pay for another box for that little TV that I only watch while cooking
We are not digital and do not have a box. You should be getting most of the channels you had before. Did you talk to them?
specifically ja 6 and 7? Anyone? :)
We are not digital and do not have a box. You should be getting most of the channels you had before. Did you talk to them?
It's the first three letters of the ja 4, double the ending consonant.
Then add a vowel and consonant to make 6, plural 7
thanks!
yw
We get the 10 local channels only with a cable direct plug in. Our other TV's all require a box now to convert them to digital. My husband did talk to them. Maybe this change over is in our area only - I dont know.
now on to the ni's
gee and I thought they were only doing it here cause memphis is easy....
ni's are easy as it turns out
ni's are tough
do have a modem but no box. Should only need that for the fancy stations
still need to find the ni 6/27
me, too. We must be moving at the same pace.
We have a DVR digital cable box on our bigger TV and a regular digital box in the kids playroom
ni 5 and 6 have to do with the kids cartoon turtle fighters.

Well I'm giving up for now. Have to finish the moving then collapse. Thanks for helps

Just clued moments ago.
ok i'll wake up then! thanks
finito! that wasn't too bad of a grid.
It's the first three letters of the ja 4, double the ending consonant.
sa 6/18 for the win?
many thanks to Merk, CJ and hawk for the nudges and clues!
think charlies angels but change first letter

oh, let's see, how to describe? Boston is having an animation convention this weekend, and Primo is going as his favorite character from Assassin's Creed, sort of a 14th C Italian mercenary
It's a huge project, and I am enjoying learning all sorts of new things, but I did need a break
still soggy in MA trif?
not quite as bad, judy thanks. We found an impossibly teeny baby turtle in the yard yesterday, and it was the cutest thing EVER
saw your post on FB

Hi and good day all
yay jmc!
hello bichon!
hi bichon
JMC, are the cherry blossoms still doing their blooming?
Hi Bichon
Hi Trif and jmc the sun is out here, at last
*hands cup of coffee to jmc*
ty ciocia!
my brain has absolutely failed at the upper left corner I. I've got nothin'
it is beautiful here i walked from my house in friendship heights to the cathedral and back
in*** red
in***ed camera shoots in the dark
I'm going out for a walk with bichon very soon
as usual, as soon as I give up...i find one!
in + two vowels
in + other four letter tile and reverse last two letters of previous in5
I'm stll missing the fourth one
that's funny, JMC, I was just thinking about the cathedral this morning...comcast had a banner headline on the home page about how they are tearing down giants stadium, and are going to look for jimmy hoffa
ciocia: that's the one I stumbled on a fraction of a second after I hit "enter"
it reminded me of the worker who asked to bury his wife in the cathedral, as she died during construction. The bishop, or whoever was in charge said no, so the builder had her cremated and mixed her in the cement
didn't know that trif
hmmm guessing that is urban legend
I can't say. we went on the tour the first week the cathedral was formally opened, and the tour guide told us
ciocia: plural the last clue you gave me
i went on a tour of the Pension Building where the tour guide told us the shallow steps were because they had horses stabled on the second floor!
throw me a fish, mitch! Thx. DUH
that's cool!
when it was really that the civil war pensioners needed the shallow steps so they could climb to the offices to get their benefits
oh, lol! well, either way, it's a good story, makes tourists happy, etc
who would take a tour to hear the guide say "nothing of import or interest ever occurred here. Enjoy your time in our city."
point being you can't really trust what tour guide say
well there are lots of interesting aspects of the cathedral such as it took nearly 100 years to complete
most of the stone masons who work on it are imported from Ireland
there is a piece of the moon in one of the stain glass windows
one thing I know that is true, is that on the outside there is one corner block decoration thingie that is uncarved, as the beloved carver died before he could finish the last one, so they left it like that in his honor
cool i will go look for that next time i am there
probably in august when the tourist are frightened off by the reputed heat
I want to say it's on the left side towards the garden, if you are looking on from the front, but I haven't been there in a long while
when I was in the navy and giving ship tours we would "sneak" in some rather tall tales or absurdity from time-to-time
sometimes just to see what folks would believe
why not?
i am not surprised jmitch
"george washington slept here"
okay i am more than 1/2 way through so i am going to go do some tax returns
bbl
what fun jmc!
down to 5
try not to get too excited jmc!
my break is about up too. But only 30 words left, so it's all good. I will post photos on flickr if the costume turns out well
I have been on a bit of a roll with the costumes, I must say!
bye trif; hope to see pics later

ty!
I should have guessed it. I use that word on a daily basis!
easy to clue for people who watch Lost lol
I have now finished this puzzle. What do I do now for the remainder of the day?
play scrabble
from babble to scrabble...how droll.
gives you a mental challenge, otherwise, a nap will do
lawyer - give me a clue for the ni 6 - the first one
aaarghhhhh! aggravating day - I now have to teach two more classes until the end of the semester - marine bio and forensics - both of which I know nothing about!
i'll teach the marine bio one for you!
I am angry!
Well, come on Ata!
Forensics? Easy - lots of torches, sprays and fast computer tests. And beautiful people.
lol I think we should just watch Criminal Minds for the rest of the semester
oh, and you forgot the cleavage!
like teaching marine bio. Just waffle on about whales
lol
ni6 - same structure as a word that refers to a very small person. First letters of ni4/5, then last three letters mean 'to obtain'.
ty haz - what is that?
It's a word for a fool. So a vertically challenged fool would be a mi**** ni6/27.
i need a clue for the first in 6
If he's opening a can of beer, he's a mi***** ni6/27 making use of wi***** technology.
stop stop stop
in6 is a plural.
only one in 6, it's pl of the word before
it is turning into something from Monty Python!
of what
However, if the said vertically challenged one were a Miss B Jones, it would be even worse.
you're right. I need the in 5! first one
it's a kind of light in*** red
fish says the science teacher ty

WHAT a happy dog! And one ear up, the other down.
ty haz
such a happy girl! we had a lovely morning at the beach :)
She looks so pleased with herself.
doesn't she!! she was just having a whale of a time. frolicking in the sea, eating dogfish, more frolicking, bouncing, splashing ...
there is very little more cheering than a perfectly happy dog
Bril lpic Ata dn Hi Hax et al

Hello FM! (I answer to just about anything)
*giggle* *hugs FM*
sorry been working on spreadsheets all day and am a bit urf!
oooo I found a wonderful recipe, I'm making a batch at the moment - http://goo.gl/fbmu
I'd be eating pills if I'd been working on spreadsheets all day.
second in 5 and the in6, please
that link isn't working Ata.
in plus first letters of what is claimed to be the spice of life.
And then plural for in6.
Im going to go and put my feet up soon and give my eyes a rest and then get on with the menu plan for Sonday.
works for me!! :P
I'll email it to you dear :)
Thank you Haz!
Desipte the forecast the sun has managed to shine all day so foar, been a lovely break form the rain.
What's the plan so far, and will you be able to incorporate Ata's batch?
You're welcome, Holly.
Hello all...............
CAITLYN!!!!
CAIT!!
Cahampers and smoked salmon nibbly bits to satart the either Roast duck or prok, haven't decided and then chocolate melting puds with clotted cream.
*smug* I've used more !! than Ata for once.
What a lovely welcome thank you
cait hello!!!!!
yum!!!
Prok?
FM doesn't love you, note
Oh a feast lovely
hello everyone, happy holidays :-)
Eaten with a frok or in a frok?
Hello Katie!
veg will be simple as they are both elderly so am thinking cabbage with leeks, french beans and new potatoes.
Hi Katie
made in a wok?
LOL Hi KAtie!
Isnt frok spelt with an e at the end Haz
Beats me, it looks like FM's spelling has run amok.
*grin*
And not for the first time!
LOL
and certalinly not for the last time either.
when doesn't it?
seriously jedi is so a word!
(Feverishly thinking of more words ending in ok. ock is cheating)
Well what would you do without me, eh?
I don't know, FM, I really don't. Others might get offended at our teasing but you just keep coming back for more.
Springbok!
Bontebok!
Can you have springbok on the menu as well as the prok?
Reading that you have had sun today FM we have had everything ...sun, sleet snow, hailstones, thunder and lightening ,Im just waiting for the downfall of frogs next
Oh for heavens sake!
springbok is yummy
might as well have had them on the M6 today!
We had the rain and thunder a couple of days ago but today is lovely.
By hook or by crook we will have a menu of ok food.
That good Katie?
2 hours to get back, mind you I did have to stop to give a radio interview I thought I had got out of lol
phone.....back in a moment
Give a radio interview? Are we in the presence of a well-known radio personality now?
Ohh a radio interview!! I say!
Will you be having your own blog?
Autographed photos?
lol I was the main item on the new on radio Leicester - oh the fame!
well at least we can say we knew Kate before the big time :)
Radio Leicester today, Radio 4 tomorrow.
and then the TV and the film rights.
I can't tell you how much I hate them, but on the bright side they did get my name right and pronounce it correctly :-)
Was the interview about babble? Did you tell them about the brilliant people you know?
I want jennifer anison to play me just so she has to put on about 5 stone lol
LOL!
lol
Back in 2
unfortunately it wasn't one of his questions Haz, although I did try to get it in he was having none of it
What a Philistine.
Still, if you'd publicised it we might have been invaded by Radio Leicester listeners.
it was the first day of the new financial year so we did have quite a giddy day today and I managed to avoid the interview all day so I thought I had got away with it
imagine that!
If they are as nice as those at the consultation a couple of years ago I might have had to give up babble!
Wash out your mouth, Katie.
it's not something I would do lightly
Can we hear the interview online or anything? If not, what's the point of us paying our licence fees?
luckily it isn't hubby has just searched
I had to finish the phone call to curtsy in front of our famous babbler!
brb got to escape fixative fumes for a minute!
lol
Oh Katie can I get up now my bones are creaking?
arise friend cait
Yes, let her up. What's the use of having a crippled first aider?
Thank you lol
Hey I have to do some of your smugness............I have now lost 3 stone with my healthy eating
OMG that is great cait, well done you
3 stone! That's brilliant, well done!
Brillitant cait!
well done you :)
Thank you thank you
just reading over the chat, you are all so funny! I love it
Just healthy eating? No manic exercise or liposuction?
Hi ruby
Hello ruby!
Golly, and I thought my having lost 22 lbs was good
Hi ruby
Hint for the ra8 please
Your 22 lb is worthy of note as well, jillibus.
going through a narrow valley in a raft
it most certainly is Haz, well done jilli
Just eating well Haz lots of salads, grilled meat and boiled pots etc
22 lbs = 1 stone 8 lbs
well done to jilli too that is great!
mmm just tried my red cabbage thing. It's really yummy!
Well done jilli thats great
Rhubarb is on my lap drooling, it's good to be home
thanks, but shrinks in comparison with cait's feat
cait has hubby lost weight too?
jilli I had more to lose in the first place
Yes FM he has lost the same
oh that is great as well then!
so no connection to the 22lbs!
Cue new wardrobes?
Got it!
I was just going to say that Haz, I really havent got anything to wear now, and I hate shopping!
ra8 - a gerund ending, first bit looks like either the start of a deep valley, or descriptive of people who are delirious.
that is why the internet was invented cait
my husband has been on the South Beach diet for more than 11 yrs, has lost a ton of weight, back to what he was when he got out of the army (WW2). However, it is not a diet that could be done withoiut a kitchen slave (me!).
That is so true Katie
That is brilliant ruby what is the South Beach diet ?
I am still the same weight and really have to do something about it but I took a decision early this year that I needed to keep sane and not worry too much about the weight until I had the job under control. I do admire people who can lose weight and stick to it
it starts out as no carbs and then winds upp as huge amounts of vegetables (I make him, e.g. a lunch salad with 4 oz of chicken and about 2 cups of raw, mixed veggies. I would die on that diet!
Yes, it's keeping the weight off that becomes the real struggle, Katie.
I just cut out my nightly vodka (plain fizzy water instead), adding sugar to tea or coffee, and having half portions of whatever I like.
I'm not even getting to the first stage of losing it at the moment
Katie we started in August last year, its not so much a diet just healthy living (apart from the Barcardi)
He lost the weight and put it back on twice, until I got the situation under control. His previous wives didn't give a da**.
Talking of food I really must go and get some, lovely to chat as ever. TTFN
Bye FM see you soon
bye FM
this way I'm not craving anything. I let myself have a drink or two and ahalf glass of wine from time to time.
Bye FM tc
Bye FM! Let us know whether it's goose or prok on Sunday!
bye FM
*grin*
or springbok!
I'd enjoy some prok!
spring prok!
jilli I enjoy my nightly drop of cheer so I havent given that up
springboks go pronk pronk!
Poor FM. She knows we love her really.
pronk pronk sounds like an animated feature!
Ata I cant play TM again at the moment I cant get any maps up :(
cait, I'm really not minding the fizzy water substitute, accompanied by a handful of tamari almonds or something
it really is the term to describe the boks' boings!
without your nightly cheer it would definitely be cheerless!
awwww sadness! there are easter maps!
I know I am half way through them, I have contacted the makers but no reply yet
I've off for a while 39 left and I have a feeling that I will have to list today, see you all later
Bye Katie, good of you to talk to us still.
bye katie
All this talk about nightly cheer reminds me I am thirsty! Bye Katie and all see you tomorrow
hey Katie, I have 33 left but am giving up. Good nightr everybody
I hope you get them back soon!
Bye ruby, bye caitlyn.
Thanks Ata night all
bye haz, bye cait, bye ata

and bye katie!!!!
I'd better go as well. It's a mass clear out.
Ill stay. All by myself.
No, jillibus is still here. You are not alone.
No you won't. I'm still here for a bit.
And there'll be others along any minute.
I've been here for a while but didn't want to interrupt. hi all
hello guernsey
hi gg!
I know it's not the same - not all babblers will have done radio interviews or lost stones in weight or type fluent typoese. But they'll be fun.
I suppose you know lizsark?
So, off I go... Toodle-oo!
bye dear!
i met her the first day i came on the site, but haven't seen her since
bye haz
Toodles, Haz!
Bye! *gone*
don't know her in the flesh
I doooo :)
I don't think she's here very often these days, but then I'm seldom here at this hour.
i know you dooo, Ata
i'm never sure what hour it is for other players. it's nearly supper time here.
it
talking of flesh and supper just gave me a vi5
it's 10:54 am here
ty forthe vi5
yw.
ty from me too -- thought it usually had an s on the end
i was actually looking for the ja5 and 6. has anyone got them?
do you watch Lost?
I don't
the ja's are so easy to clue if ppl watch Lost
I watched the first series, but gave up when they opened the trap door. it was all getting too complicated for my simple brain.
try me
do you remember Sayid's surname?
noooooo
drat. lol.
clearly it began with ja..
it did lol. is the ja6
trying to think of another clue
I just googled it, so now I know...
and or ja7
ja7 is the plural
oh, clever jillibus. i'll do the same
the rest is like Fa**** Faucett Majors
ty, I can't think of a less Losty way of clueing it!
and thanks for the lead ata and jess
yw
that's Fawcett, lol!
incidentally, i thought Said was absolutely gorgeous
isnt he just!!!
I knew I probably had that wrong. You have to type fast when trying to clue!
i prefer your spelling
just that poor Farrah was no drip
lol
I have to go and get ready for a Luncheon
whereabouts on Guernsey do you come from, GG?
St Peter Port.
I love the harbour there
Down 20 steps from Clifton, or up 180 from Market Street
180 *faints*
We had a fantastic view over the harbour and other islands. i really miss it.
Apparently, my mum brought me up the steps once in my pram - and survived
wow!!!
she had terrible arthritis in her knees when she got old. i'm sure it was all the steps
gg, does the name Saumerez mean anything to you, or do I have the wrong island?
I bet! there's Hills there!
Yes. Clifton, where i lived led off Saumarez Street, and the Saumarez are a very old family. Admiral de Saumarez was very famous in the 18/19th century
I love Torteval *random*
L. Col. Hon John Saumerez is in my late hubby's family tree
Well i never! does he have relatives in Guernsey?
Yes, Torteval's great - especially the cliff walks in spring.
not that I know of -- the Saumerez married a Rhodes girl, an aunt of my m-i-law who was a Rhodes.
I really want to get back to Sark. And I'd love to go to Alderney, and spend more time on Guernsey
You must do all three. i'm hoping to go over to Guernsey at the end of May.
lovely time of year!
so if they had offspring, I suppose I could say yes, there are relatives on Guernsey
That's why.
I really must go now!
ttfn
I just hate leaving the dog in the car on the ferry
nice talking to you jilli
i really ought to go and make my chicken curry.
I should go make food too
oh i didn't know that they had to stay in the car. that must be a worry
it's not ideal ...
what do you do with the car while you're in Sark?
leave it at a friend's house in SPP
I really must go. cat is complaining, but i'll talk to you again i'm sure.
it's really silly - the only way we can take the dog over is to take the car! and then need to abdanon it!
lol go sort out the cat!
bfn

how are you and your family doing feather?
good. relaxing after a bunch of outings this morning.
walmart and then haircuts.
walmart has good prices
got a bunch of stuff for school that i needed
i don't like going there, too big, too crowded. i prefer target. but walmart had the folders i needed for 99 cents each.
do you have dollar stores near you, feather? you can can lots of stuff there
yep. the folders were nice plastic ones though, will stand up to a few year's use. some of the dollar store stuff doesn't last as long.
99 cents is a great price
especially when you need to buy 20!
you know a grid's rough when you're having your best luck with the C tile

Nancy Boy .... well I am the youngest of 6 and my eldest brother had 8 children .....

not really there was a difference of 20 years between me and my brother.
my oldest nephew is 3 months younger than me.
got one ni6, still need the ni6/27
I come from a pretty small family, if you don't count the ones I can't talk to/don't know, so I find it really amazing. Most of mine live back home still, that's why
how old is the youngest one mo?
ni6 ... rhymes with a tiny person.
ty again mo

Firewords!
hello again. YAY, feather! WTG!!!
Yaystidgmere! WTG!!!!!
Dang! still typos! I was hoping a fed tummy would improve my typing skills today!
oooh, hello Nef!
Hi, NB! How are you today?
not too bad thanks, Nef, not too bad at all! A little hungover so we're sitting in with a stack of DVDs tonight. I feel a bit ashamed that the subtitled foreign ones have been hidden underneath the sofa, and we're watching Mean Girls instead ;)
how're you?
I'm fine. Enjoying the marvelous weather today. Our thermometer says it's 80 (F) (? 27 C?) right now
lucky you! we're reverting back to winter here in London :)
really? We usually have a snow storm in March and didn't have one this year... I'm glad we aren't having a repeat of winter here
Hello Nancy Boy, JC asked me to ask you to please contact him.
hi flosey
ohhh, thanks Flosey :) will do, if I manage to remember. I have a memory like a sieve these days
hey, I totally understand that - but you are too young to have that problem!
I'd be fine with a snow storm...I like dramatic weather, but at the moments it's just cold and windy! not fun at all :)
hi Nef
came in to finish - forgot I had finished this morning
oh-oh flosey. These short grids can do that
we had the strangest weather the other day, Huge claps and booms of thunder, briefly, then torrents of rain which also was brief, then sunshine - off and on for a good part of the day
wow. We need some rain here I think
ended with a monkey. firewords
YAY, Good Enough!!!! WTG!!!
Could anyone help with the first ja6 and 7 please?

i really appreciate it. honestly
it's okay.
i really do need the sa6/18
I still have 42 left and will need to list. I just can't see any more words today
I don't have it yet, but will work on it now!
OK, Nef. i'm a little ahead of you.
you all still need the sa 6/18? and hello
sa 6/18 is a very strange word...it is the first three letters of a military person ***gent and then repeats itself...does that help?
I think they made something up. I SWEAR there isn't a word in the grid that's an sa6
I have just gotten it myself ddb4nana
very good, Mom!
your clue was very good (where were you when I was struggling so?)
thanks ddb4nana!

I mean you're welcome...
Not in the dicionary though.
dictionary
that always amazes me...having words in babble that don't show up on dictionary.com...
fireworks. yes, i like to look up the ones i don't know, as i think it'll help me remeber them
and then words that ARE words and enable doesn't think they are words!
that is so annoying.
hi all
unless i can help with any clues, i'm going to bed now.
Pleasant dreams Guernseygirl

how old is she Nef?
clue for the ar 5/10 please
no, she will only hurt herself if she does.
HI Katie, I don't have it but will help you look

Hi & ty Mom
ar + babies get diaper ***h
you're welcome Katie
ty mom :-)
Oh Nef, my parents took us to see Roller Derby back in the 60's, it was so much fun
and yes, she could hurt them couldn't she
she could. Roller derby isn't so much the fights (this is flat track derby too); but there are times it does get physical out there
I didn't think roller derby was around any more
there's been a resurgence in recent years
I will have to say the skill of the players are excellent
do they wear roller blades or regular skates?
10
they wear skates. Here's my dtr: http://tinyurl.com/yg8vb5v
GO, MOM!!! You can do it!
oh Nef, she is very pretty. I wouldn't want to mess with her
down to my last 4, could I please have a clue for ja6 please
She's just 5'1" tall, but she's 100% determined
ja Miss Fawcett
ja6= canning ja* = sis, boom, bah, ***, ***, ***!!!

she looks determined

Not funny at all, Min. Heck you are nearly as old as I am here!

But,my hubby would LOVE it if I quit babbling forever

Oh, yeah! Make his life miserable til he LIKES Babble! :-D
Here is my story of clues to ca4/5r to those who are not finished. It's very expensive to own ca4/5.I have shed so many te5/10 over my car beause I've had to pay a lot of ca4/6 for my car lately.Think some black ca 4/5 ca 4/5ed a spell has been ca 4/5 on my car. I have a good car though. It is a Subaru. Car has been ra5/12 pretty highly. However,I was in a car cr5/14 a couple of years ago when I hit a ha 4/5. Ever since then, my car has always had a di4/7. I ea4/4 hear it every time I drive the car.I'm always on ed4/7 when I drive because I think that it's going to break down It has a gi 5/14 di 4/5 in it from a fender bender last year.I made a ra4/5 decision and used my insurance check for bills. I was a ni6/27 to not get it fixed. My car is also quite di 5/16 and it looks like it belongs in the tr 5/12. I think my car is sc 4/5ed for life. Oh ra 4/4! Look at the time. I got to ra 4/5 on outta here before hubby gets home. I will be back later to enter last word I am sa 5/16g for later.

I couldn't have done it without you 2! :-)
Sure you could have, might just have taken a bit longer
Guess I will go and straighten the kitchen. See you all tomorrow. {{hugs}}to all of you
LOL! Sometimes it takes longer BECAUSE I chat! :-D
That story would've been posted even earlier if I had not been delayed.Nef,what was your last word today
me too. But it is always fun to chat. See if not, I would never have known your daughter was a roller derby player
it was a fish: ca 4/6
Adios Mom!I'm glad you're doing what I should've done
it is early yet, Min, you could give it a lick and a promise
bye bye Min, hope to see you tomorrow
well, Min; you and I *could* go be "good wives" and spend an hour cleaning too right now. (Don't know if I feel tempted by that idea, however)
bye, Mom

:)
Let's not and say we did! :=)
bye bye Nef.
???? you want me to do TWO hours?? NO WAY!
LOL! My dtr. is on the way to derby practice. I told her to drive carefully; she gave me a big grin and told me she'll "feel better after I hit somebody!"

ja...southwest, then northwest, then west, then southeast, then west for the plural
clue for the RA8/65 please?
An ra8/65 word is ra 5/16 plus gerund ending dixmax

take the re 5/16 and add a different end*** on to it
Thanks Min
yw
oops make that ra....
did you get it Tanja
If jillibus is still here, yes that was an April Fool's joke
The best time for April Fool's jokes is several months afterward, when no one will suspect
Contrarywise, the best time to spring horrible news on someone is today, when they'll think you're kidding at first - that will soften the blow
i dtill didnt get it :(
which didn't you get dix?
Hi all, how are the foolish babblers today?

Scrabs, I did clue the gi5. It is a big word.
Silly Min!
Haha! I looked up ni6 and a definition is "a fool"
Did that earlier also&fooled lynxxx and someone else.
The ni5,20 is a kind of teenage turtle
That ni6/27 is in my story of clues in my profile today
TY for the other ni6
45 to go, time for the list
I think that the oa4 and the ra4 are appropriate for our friends in Rhode Island. They might need them.
That flooding is horrendous and there is nothing on can do to escape it, I mean the home/property damage.
It's raining in that st5?
It has finished, but they had 9 or 10 inches in the last couple of days.
The co5 is on the ed4 of the st5.
And 6 inches two weeks ago.
I-95 was flooded near Providence. Just reopened today.
TY, grem
Hello folks, and sympathy for anyone whose house is flooded. I know how it feels and how King Canute-like you feel when you can't stop it.
I'm from RI I live 1/2 mile from the bridge they "thought" would collapse and the building my office is in and exactly where rt 95 was closed :(
Hi Jacula
I hope that you and your home are OK Lady B
I saw photos, LB--bad!
Hello Jacula! I know you are done so congratulations.
Nature all was has been bigger than mankind and always will be, despite scientific attempts to make it otherwise.
Hi Min and thanks.
Hi Scrabbs. How are the bunnies?
Has to be - mankind's part of it.
The bunnies are so cute. I just love watching them--they make me smile.
really bad...we had water in the basement but got right on top of things early Tuesday AM we were able to keep ahead neighbors around us, not so lucky
gremlin - exactly.
Lady B - I don't even have the 'drain' option of having a basement, and I live on clay soil with a high water table.
Hello Lady Biotch! How are you? Welcome to the grid!
LB, I hope you are dried out soon.
Scrabbs - I'm glad tohear the bunnies are doing well and I sincerely hope you haven't captured another wild mouse.
How can anyone get the water out of the house fast enough as it's coming in?
No, Jacula, no more mice.
LB - 6 weeks with de-humidifers, minimum.
Scabbs - glad to hear it!
Scrabbs - water out of the house - not possible, and once it's entered, at whatever height, mayhem ensues.
ja6 clue please?
Our water was not just surface water but also sewage.
Jam container + cheer
j + f***** fawcett
ja6 - a type of Eucalyptus tree.
It has happened here a few times when sump pump has broken, but I have a subbasement which is 1 ft lower than basement, and flooding in the lower part is not damaging.
TY for ja6
Like Lee Majors' ex-wife's first name but different first letter.
clue for gi 5
gi5 - goliath
Boo - very big person.
ty jacula
2nd in5 clue?
BRB, I must close windows + doors.
Good Evening all!!!!
Hi red

in5 is an alloy of iron and nickel. in + 'my interests are wide-ranging and va*y.'
Hi red.
vi6 clue please
hi jacs how is everyone?
What grape plants do, Tanja
Boo - that was a clue (the gi5) but, in the case of my son's friend, who's nickname is Boo, it's true, and so becomes a statement. LOL
TY for that in5--monkey would have taken hours to find that
yw Scrabs.
Hi again. finished dinner and a bit of cleaning up; I finished the grid earlier too. Hoa are you all doing?
Red - I'm still battling the blocked eustachian tubes, Step thinks she's starting with Hay fever, Beloved's tired... LOL
gotch jacula
ty
EEK! whose not 'who's'.
oh yuck, i had that recently kept having to ask people to repeat...
Hi red & nef
hi nef and scrabbs! and tanja!
Hi Nef.
ouch Jac my sympathies - nothing much worse I reckon though I have to admit this left shoulder of mine I could give away:)
hi Scrabs, red, and Jac.
Hi red
and Tanja
Red - I had the tv volume up on 45 rather than 17-20. Must've been blasting everyone out of the room. It isn't nice being 'deaf'.
I had it for one day and I have to say it made work very difficult, as I have a tiny bit of hearing loss as it is (and I do mean tiny.)
My late Dad was totally deaf in one ear and had 33% hearing in the other. I know know how he felt in a crowded room, trying to work out what was being said, who was saying what, and where sounds were coming from.
my mom is deaf in one ear also...
and that is firewords for me today:)
Yahoo T!
congrats tanja!
i have 36 left not so easy..
I was out for a birthday meal with my ex-Pa_in-Law and family the other night. He still doesn't bother to put his newly-acquired (at the insistance of the rest of us) hearing aid in. So, yet another night when he was mostly 'out of it'.
Easier with list, Red.
Congratulations Tanja on fireworks! Hooray for you!
wtg tanja
Well done Tanja.
Hoping for a couple of bigger puzzles over the next few days since it Easter and have little bit more time
redturtlehead,I got story of clues in profile if needed
you will get there red
clue for the second in 5
i will go use it in just a moment minver, i always enjoy them!
Tanja - we'll probably get a 50 worder, a 61 worder and then a 120. Babble seems to work that way.
in5/16:in + there are a ***ities of restaurants in NYC
in + ***iety is the spice of life/
I used to have a lot of ear infections and hearing problems. At one point I was working but nearly deaf in the one ear, they put me on as the charge nurse of the unit that weekend. I got an obscene phone call, but didn't understand wht the guy was saying until he was yelling at me and i'd switched the phone to the other ear. He really didn't get his jollies that day
i want a hugoid one for sunday.
nef, that really is hysterical....
oh well they are usually hard to find words in the small grids so time to hunt dictionaries etc then I guess
Nef - LOLOLOLOL! Love it.
WHat, you what?
Funny story, Nef
vi5 please?
lollol - nef
I want a gi5/14 grid for tomorrow.Stuck with no car.
We had a Bomb threat at work the other day, and the way we found out was the EMS guys called and asked if we could still accept patients given our situation....a little odd.
Yep, red, that's what happened. I kept saying "I'm sorry, what did you say? I can't hear you over the noise of the unit!"
vi5 - food word. vi + a conjunction.
of course no bomb...
That vi 5/18 word is vi plus a conjunction Scrabbler.
TY Min
I'm tempted to post the half-deaf convo I imagine Nef had with the porno caller. I'll refrain for now. Need to think about it a bit more.
I don't have time to get into this one...good night
I really do wonder.
'Noise of the unit' has given me far more fuel for the imagined half-deaf convo, Nef. LOL
we had a bomb threat that was for real once. A guy brought a live grenade into the hospital and pulled the pin in a patients' room. He wanted drugs; and they rolled morphine syringes under the door. This was right above my unit, he had to put the pin back in the grenade to use the morphine
Kaplan - Okay. Well, hi and 'bye then.
not getting the second in 5 clue
Jac, I later found out he'd been calling our unit for a few weeks (we'd had a new phone number put in). He never called again after that
All done. TY for clues.
Glad he stopped bugging you all, Nef.
Nef, you saved the unit. hysterical, really.
Go Scrabbler! COngrats.
in5 is an anagram of ra5.
Boo, it goes down from the top left I.
wtg Scrabs
hello
Hello herin
ra5 is a deep gorge without the final letter, which is a vowel.
Hi Herin.
Congratulations Scrabbler on fireworks!Hooray for U
Or ra5 is a large black bird mis-spelled
(sorry had a phone call) Hi wht and herin
Hi. Sorry If I wander off baby clothes shopping for a friend
I love the variety of clues you get here. Someone, or a combination, usually hits the mark.
The vi5/18 is vi plus anagram of Mr. Quayle or Rather
Herin - you mean you are not knitting if a friend is 'expecting'?
can anyone clue sa6/18 ?
or vi + conjunction word
min u still here? lol
sa + consonant, then do it again.
sa 6/18 is sa plus hook letter and repeat same three letters again vlcl and hello there! How are you doing?
canadian bug last year sa and again
Joanne, it was more than 5 yrs ago that it hit so hard
Hi Joanne123!I am still here and I still don't have FWs

No Jac I can't
Jacula?
I am off to take a shower. I will be back later to clue.
Later Mini
OOps! No idea what happened there, other than me hitting the sticky key a bit hard.
byeee min
I think she had a caniption over me not being able to knit
bye min
LOL, herin.
is there a troll in here?
It looked like I was being reaaly judgemental if Herin couldn't knit.
Herin - no,, I didn't.
I was kidding Jac. My Nanna did try and teach me but I just can't do it
This keyboard's full of ash and food and is old and disgusting, probably a bit like some people might see me. I'm getting a new pc and a new keyboard for my birthday later this month.
is it odd to have grandbaby to have 2 teeth at 4 months but yet about another 8 or 9 coming in??
clue for ja 6 pls
at 5 months that is
Jac Vacuum the board
where is scrabbs?
Joanne - not really. Every baby is individual and yu should stop checking statistics.
Herin - it's been vacuumed, wiped, washed. It's years old and I have at least 3 new ones wwaiting in the wings.
well ,i didn't think so..he can just enjoy steak sooner
ja6 australian wood tree or a brand of coffee
could I get a clue for the 7 and or 8?
ja7 is the plural.
Joanne, my grandson is 11 mo. and only has 2 teeth; but one of my clients has a 10 mo. old and he has 8 teeth. Babies are all different
Wonderful Jac
no 7/8 red
ra8.
ty joanne.
ty nef
ra 8/65, red
ja is a plural sorry
ty all looking.
ra8 is the gerund of the ra5
read your question wrong
ra8 is to do iwith the hunger and plundering again, like The Vikings did, but it's not to do with raping and pillaging exactly, if you're looking for words with those roots.
I am so mean I spoiled a suprise that the b.f was giving me
j.. of jam and college cheer and plural
Herin - what did you do?
oh-oh, herin. What happened?
cant get the wood tree of australia ja. i know we had that before but i am stumped.
just clued it mkg
Jam container + cheer.
i will look again.
mkg - highly minty flavoured leaves that tree has, said Yoda.
ty got it.
wtg
y/w mkg.
Tree is also full of oil, as are pines, which is why fires spread so alarmingly fast in Aus.
would love some more clues for the tough words. dont have the 4 "i" words from top left corner i.
in and ..rnished wood
and plural
in4 is a common babblet - is it the hairy nosed dolphin?
in and i was ..amed for murder
Did anyone ask for the Teenaged Mutant Ni5.20 Turtles word and its plural today?
in5 is used in footnotes and means below
ty for those clues! I needed the Ni.
What did I do I asked him were my 4 gig of ram for my pc was and he said that it was on his way and he was a tad irritated that I found out.
A couple of people, Jac.

Min, you were the only person who Fooled me today!
Hi Mini
Nef, you weren't the only person I fooled. Some were fooled by my profile message and my faux FWs before
Hello herinfernallady! How are you? Happy April Fool's
Min How you?
I am well and now cleaner since I just took a shower.
hey, herin; can I brag? My dtr is in an amateur roller derby league and I want you to see her picture

I am getting a little over excited that Lego Harry Potter years 1 -4 comes out in June on lego
sa 6/18:sa + hook letter plus same 3 letters repeated
computer game
(her real job is in the state tourism field) here is her picture: http://tinyurl.com/yg8vb5v
Does anyone know what topeka means? It's the word that is in place if "google" today for April Fool's Day.
Kansas?
THis is why Herin shouldn'have kids too much stuff for me
Oh, the capital of Kansas. Wonder why Google chose that word to display. I do like their new logo though.
It's a Scrawnee Indian word .. It means "Place where goat threw up."
Hello torgone! How are you? Welcome to the chat log
there's a blog about it here: http://tinyurl.com/yhaxvby
EEWW!Think I like capital of Kansas definition better
I'm off to watch General Hospital. I will be back later.
Must be another April Fools joke, Min. (Did you check out my last post?)
hey everyone, where are the words in this grid :0)?
They are all C's T's and G's Jen
I don't understand April Fools jokes
hmmm....and a few A's?
this is starting to anoy me

The grid
how many do you have left?
I had 25 but now i have 18 after staring at it usually
uselessly even
did you see my dtr's picture I posted the link to?
no link?
here: http://tinyurl.com/yg8vb5v Her derby name is Minny Assaulta
Cool. I would love to do derby but my knee is stuffed
Sometimes I think you and her are a lot alike
awww
what words do you need; or what letters do you have left?
The local team have people I would like to hurt so I think playing with them would be bad.
I have 16 left i have time thanks though
fireworks
Hey Nat ;)
good idea
Yah Boo
Well, she came home from her real job today talking sh*t about how she wants to punch someone out; and when she went to derby practice she said she would feel much better after she hits someone.
and good for you on only having 16 left
haha i have 110 left
:D
YAY, Boo!!! WTG!!!
Hi Rows
lol Nef. See the girls that I would like to hurt would be on my team so that would be bad
I need to leave for now; I'll possibly return in a bit
Have a safe day
grr, 3 left and these in's are killing me!
Hi Pip
inand
oops - no worries, not actually a word
Pip guess what I have to do with my Civil Procedure Case
afraid to ask, herin
I have a case on Rock Climbing Negligence. Considering that one I like Torts and 2 I have rock climbing friends easy as
haha, awesome
It was random choice. I did the happy dance. Gee damn Negligence and torts wow that is going ot be hard (not)
One of the failures in Negligence claim was Failed to put plaintiff in a grade suitable for their experence level.
And my new definition of being smart arse is doing 2 subjects at once.
awesome
That is my excitement and I am going to be an Aunty. So how you
yay auntie!
I am so excited
i strained a quad and had to leave climbing early, better not go tomorrow. i am sad
:( take it easy
but got 2 phone numbers in a 5 minute span last nite, one of them a guy i went out with once months ago and have been crushing on since then
awww awesome
okay really, anyone got clues on the in's? i am te4ing my hair out
brb
They are all In s
5 4 5 6
one is a babblet - in and two vowels. 4/4
in5/6 = in + ***iety is the spice of life + plural
still don't have the first in5, and it's driving me crazy
ty jessasmom!
yw, now you have to figure out the first one and share with me, LOL
i had the babblet, now i just need the 5 before it, it's my last word!
it is in plus two cons and a vowel. first part of a word that ends in structure - in its usual usage
got it!
like a spectrum, there's ultrared and in***red
aahhh....thank you, thank you
i was monkeying that forever
11 to go
back with food HI JOey and Jessa
hi herin...what kind of food, really yummy, or just kinda yummy?
Honey flavoured Cheerios
wow, never heard of them, must not be in the usa
oh, I read that as "cheetos", not cheerios! LOL
I was thinking honey and cheetos really doesn't mix
Yes they are USA cereal. Just trying to find the right name
yeah, i misread....we have honey nut cheerios, yummy
4 to go...
opps they are Honey Nut. I got them from teh USA food store
tsar
oops
They cost a small fortune
you actually have a store that sells only usa food?
Yes. www.usafoods.com.au
The store is close to my house
how really weird...we don't have an Australian store, lol
then again, not too sure how well vegamite would sell here.....
There is a lot of USA visitors that miss their fix. I am saddened that you guys have TimTam cookies that are not even close to our Tim Tam Biscuits
i worked with a girl who was from australia once and she really missed all her favorite foods. she used to visit home and come back with suitcases full of stuff, including the vegamite, which I never really understood...
awww cute
and she did have lots of cookies she'd bring back, too. said ours weren't quite right! LOL
I also bought Ranch flavoured Dorretos.
those are my daughter's favorite
Yep I think the USA ''cookies'''of our tim tam biscuits look more graham cracker style base
You should here my rant when stores say ANZAC Cookies instead of biscuits
(pardon my spelling)
yes our "biscuit" is a totally different thing than your 'biscuit'
down to 2, both ni
Your Biscuit is bread is it not? BUt still calling ANZAC Biscuits cookies is very very wrong.
yeah, it's more like bread, but dryer, not sweet at all
Like Corn bread?
what I mean is would you call Corn Bread Corn Biscuits?
don't know ANZAC biscuits...I'll have to google it
i don't think cornbread would count as biscuits - it is almost cakey in texture, just dense
Ok
biscuits are closer to rolls than that
hi all
biscuits are more a flay pastry, similar to croissants but done in a big sheet of layers that then are cute into fat round bits
flay=flaky
crescents are a close second
LOL I googled Anzac Biscuit too
no, corn bread is different..um, biscuits are um...hard to describe, lol
cute=cut
apparently typing ability nonexistent tonight
ANZAC means Australian and New Zealand Armed COrp
i had no idea
Biscuit in america - like a scone - but not sweet
Thanks
interesting write up on ANZAC biscuits on Wiki, lol, popular during the war
I have to say - reading a recipe for an Anzac Biscuit - that sounds like a great cookie!
also sounds like they might last forever
Yes - no preservatives needed!
Yes. They were made out of minimal goods and lasted well so the solders could get a taste of home. And they are fairly ok
CadFan - what is your icon? Doesn't look like your foot.
Hi all
HI OSGMA
hi OSGD
and I get fiercely patriotic when they get called cookies.
lol, jilli, I was just thinking the same thing, it doesn't look like a foot....
Oh - icon - it's a picture from High School - play rehearsal
I'm lay about icon changes.....
oh - does it say it's my foot - LOL - guess I better change it,....
might be a good idea to post the explanation, cad!
well, Wiki doesn't call it a cookie, but does call it hard tack
27 to go here
Jessa you get a few places like cafes here that call it a cookie. I get very snarrly about it
Jill are all your internet problems sorted?
ok, wiki says: The term ANZAC is protected under Australian law[6] and therefore the word should not be used without permission from the Minister for Veterans' Affairs ---- so, we have to stop talking about it, or get permission, lol
I hope so, herin! It was an IP address conflict because of a switch in broadbands and that's all I know!
No you can't use specific words in Advertising or in Companies LIke ANZAC (ie. ANZAC holidays, without approval )
JEssa: http://tinyurl.com/ycpmzpw
I'm about ready to scream here....anyone have a clue for ni5 or ni6,33? My last 2
Jill that does sound rather irritating
Well, herin, we got it solved eventually
And the new broadband is faster than the old one
weee
Ohhh - my personal delivery from Dairy Queen is here... BBL
wow, cadfan, i want a personal delivery, too!
nift
oops
LOL - my daughter was going to "hang out" with a friend. They were going there so I asked her to bring me a treat :)
Treat will be a Peanut Buster Parfait - with butterscotch instead of chocolate
lucky you
Not on the approved list from the trainer - however I've been doing VERY well and deserve a treat now and again
my dr says that if you can't have something special every once in a while, whats the use of being around
Yep :)
makes me feel better when I cheat and tell him i cheated, he says, nope, your just living

clue for FI6/33
Please?
wee I found a website that is going to make my life easy
How, herin?
fi6 = fi + light**** bugs
Just found a free sign in website for legal people It has all jurisdictions and areas and forms. I know that we have to do forms a specific way which may not match this site but if i am stuck with wear to find the form I can just look there. Like for instance click on the section Wills then the actual form and it will tell me were they are in the actual rule book
THanks Jess
love it when you can find just what you need, and for free!
good night all, happy babbling!
To look is free and there is some free common forms otherwise you pay $90 a month then $35 subequent months but I don't care it helps me find in the actual rules and procedures where the forms are
Night Jessa
I am a member of the Law Institute VIc and they send out a magazine every month with new stuff and different website
