I wanted to get my kit out this year for our spring traditions, but didn't have the time. Maybe when I am a granny...
Oh? Is that the icon theme? It must have changed since I looked last.
hi and nbt
A lady I met thru Hospice has many of these eggs displayed. They are generations worth of her family's tradition and I am fascinated by them.
so. I shall away and do my best with these-here windmills. I hope you all will have a lovely, happy week. (go joshua! go dart! go jill! go bugs! go barb! go everyone!)
No worries jilli, it was my part for Easter
No, Sprite still says Pet Icon Monday for April 5 -- but bugs, I love your egg.
hi and wtg josh
my mom has a few eggs like that

I can only last about 15 mins on my horses when I do get up there...but I love just spending time with them
How sad. I was hoping the gentle rock of a walk might losen things up for you and give you joy at the same time
I try to do my best but some days are difficult..would love to be able to go back to work and even just look after my home and family properly...but then there are people worse off than i

haven't got there yet, flosey
it was clued - possibly while you were out
ah, maybe, but I'll wait until I see where it is, if I can stay awake
don't know when I've had such trouble with 4s
I'm fading fast
I'm just having my normal trouble, lol!
have to be at the pool at 10:
oh yes!
Is it helping?
I'm really enjoying it, jilli, lots of fun, good group
well, I come out with legs feeling like rubber
that's great
but it has to be helping
I wish everything wasn't so early!
lol, she also has a class at 8:am
in the community pool
I know -- even worse! There's hardly anything in the afternoon
I think there are other classes later but don't know the hours
There used to be line dancing on Thursday afternoons but it was discontinued although well attended
where was that held?
that sounds interesting
Mahon Hall, I think
not sure I'm ready for an hour on my feet, just yet anyway
well, there isn't any now anyhow
wonder who the instructor was
Rosemary somebody and Ila May Dickson
ah, I've come to the se8/9 -- no idea but I'm half alseep
want a clue?
sure
se4 and ra4 then plural
(or se3 and tr5)
thoght that might be the beginning and got a giggle out of the possible ra4
lol
ah, got it -- thanks
yw
never heard of such a thing
I sent you a yahoo message but ignore it, I'll ask you at bridge tomorrow night
well, Vancouver does have a seabus to the north shore
I saw it but couldn't think of the answer so I thought I'd leave it to the morning when I might be able to think
was most annoying - I tried getting MSN messenger back and that's all that happened!
Hmf -- Laura just left a note that she seems to be getting kicked off there. What's going on?
maybe that's an old note
oh, that is strange, that both of us were hoofed same day
now I can't find your message
MSN suddenly appeared as my home page and I want to get back to SSNews
pushy MSN! I guess you're using IE?
but I've been using SSNews
I'll have to think -- or maybe there's a lurker who knows
how to set a home page
ok, not to worry
I wonder if we're the only ones in here
seems like it
No, you're not..
Hi there Haz
Hello, Haz!
lol, I'm here too.
Good evening - nice grid so far.
hi Sally
Just don't be asking me anything about setting home pages!
Just like to get a bit of the grid done before I chat.
Hello Sally.
hi Sally
lol, ok Haz
And right on cue. the phone.
I had to ask before and I know I wrote it down but can't find it now, of course
and i can't find my brain
Don't use IE and can't remember, but you can certainly set your home page to whatever you want. You could always try the help pages, or google it.
perhaps it is taking a nap jilli
will try that tomorrow, thanks Sally
it wants to, I know!
flosey -- that's it -- just ask google
I'll do that, thanks
If you go into My Computer, can you not get into where you set your home page?
flosey you just right click on your ie icon and go into properties
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/co mmunity/columns/ie7_basics.mspx
I knew there'd be some Brits awake :)
ok, thanks Haz, gladys, sally, will try as soon as I leave here
We were just biding our time.
lol
hello everybody
well, that's it for me -- bedtime! 78 left. Goodnight!
Good morning, ruby.
oh, 90 to go, perhaps can finish tomorrow
good night all
hi ruby
hi and bye ruby
well done jilli
after two days of no computer, my son was able to diagnose the problem (over the phone from Texas), and I'm back in biz.
hi and bye jilli
bye flosey
I really missed playing!
Oh great, ruby -- I know what that's like!
I haven't been on the chog myself ruby, so what was wrong with the computer?
it was making the "hairball" noise again and crossy said it was the hard drive which was about to implode and that I shouldn't use it 'til I backed everything up. Of course it was the weekend and my tech guy was unavailable. I was just dust in the fan (which is what it sounded like in the first place!
dust bunnies for Easter!
Goodness! What is the hairball sound? (and you go to the PB ruby!)
sorry, I hadn't looked at the grid is ha8 a word? lol
sounded like a cat choking
Not ha8! Look at the word I changed :-)
I'll go to the pb anyway and "see" my other naughty friends. Maybe there's leftover chocolate and some much-needed coffee!!
Probably still some Easter eggs in there.
night all -- *poof*
night jilli
Sleep well, jillibus.
hello haz
Hello ruby, rainy here today.
sunny and cold here but tulips and daffs are opening and primrose, so it's very pretty.
That's nice, I have high hopes for our camelias, lots of buds.
I look to haz for my 2-day forecast!
The forecast is unsettled for the incoming week, although getting warmer towards the weekend.
your forecast is always more accurate than the local one!
Thank the BBC!
and no thanks Mt. Blanc!
*pops in quickly* trying to decide where to walk the mutt. Husband should walk her really but he's asleep. I swear he has sleeping sickness
like a marmot!
Good morning, Ata.
good morning, how many words ared there today??
marmots have sleeping sickness?
256, diann
256 today.
they just sleep 27 hrs a day
yep, he's a marmot
zeins
sorry, blowing myself up!!!
I met up with a friend yesterday who lives "near" you, Ruby. Near in the greater European sense, she lives in Neuchatel
my neighbors daughter and sil teach at the university there
it's about 2 hrs away
well actually she lives in La Chaux-de-Fonds which might be even a bit nearer. I hope to visit her this summer, I'll have to pop in!
that would be lovely!
I somehow have lots of friends in Neucha / Lausanne area
we go to Lausanne for doctors and good Italian food
I love Lausanne. It's a great place. Ooops. Pup pesting level has turned up a notch. Be back after walk!
see you!
See you later, Ata.
I prefer Lausanne to Geneva; it's more of a "real" place
hi everyone
hope you all had a happy easter
Hello, Andree!
hello andree
Yes, enjoyable family lunch yesterday. We had the emergency line over the weekend so it was a mixture of work and play.
i have been away staying with my sister , my brother in law had a 4 heart bypass out of intensive care today so i came home
Best wishes for his recovery, Andree.
mine, too, it must be scary for your sister!
And mine Andree. My husband had triple bypass a year ago, and I know how your sister must feel.
all thise talk of hearts -- ao5!
he is doing well now , still great pain, had a leg clot and had to be taken back to theatre, my sister now has a friend to stay, she lives more than an hour away and i had to get back for work tomorrow
And its latin plural, ruby.
lol, I hadn't noticed that yet ruby. ty
Oh!!! And PB ruby for he 5/12 :-)
yes, saw that, too
oh no, again!!! bad ruby
But there's also he 6/21 :-(
I think we've guesses today's theme..... :(
and its plural, sally
yes, have that too ruby
this grid looked esy at first but it isn't!
I'm over half-way now, but may have to go and do something useful and come back.
It's a lovely grid, ruby,don't be discouraged.
yesterday was the first time I missed since I started in Dec, but only 3 or 4 fireworks! :D
Yes, but think of the enjoyment you've had, and all the advice!
especially the advice!!!!!
and the laughs
Yes, the laughs are therapeutic.
especially around here!
I used to feel that I /had/ to do the grid each day, and /had/ to finish, then I realised one night I was falling asleep over the keyboard, so I do it if I can, and I try to remember it's only a game, and if I can't do it because of time then <shrug>, so what. No kittens die as a result.
good attitude! I've stopped looking at my ranking, once I realized that by not finishing it didn't matter how well I did
but doing at least half of each grid is very therapeutic for me
i never worry any more, its just a game and we should all just enjoy what we can do and not fret over what we can't
There are only a few who are concerned with rankings.
I think each of us gets something different from the game and chat!
And it does get easier, because you do learn words that pop up again and again. (like my favourite sr4)
when I started at 260 I was horrified, but then I started to figure it out and now it doesn't matter
(just put the monkeys to work on that Sally)
Yes, sr4, the backward knights.
the backward knights?
Look at the word....
Oh! lol
in the Indian ocean?
I just think of gormless men in armour.
I was telling ruby that when I was visiting my grandson recently he has a play mat with the alphabet on the floor. I knew I was in trouble when I found myself looking at it and making babble words out of it:-)
he'll learn to spell in anagrams!
My family don't believe half the words are real.
Well he will if he inherits my genes!
your family could be right haz
it's like learning a new language
Okay, taking a break, I'll be back later.
bye haz
Bye for now..
bye haz
bye Haz
Haz is in the grid today :-)
see you later but couldn't get to half
see you later - you will get there!

oops --- gremlins hiccupping.
hi chris
Good morning/afternoon/eveningg, everyone.
See, they misspell wods.
and words, even.
Hello everyone. Sally - that is so funny
hi lynxxx
hi lynxxx
hi Andree, how is everything up there
Goodnight, all.
goodnight Christine
night Christine
i have been on the central coast with my sister since wednesday, my b i l had a quadruple bypass , he was moved to the ward today and i had to come home for work tomorrow
That's an awful way to spend a break but good to hear he is on the mend.
easter thursday seems to be a bad day for our family , its 3 years on the same day since my other sister had her brain tumour removed
i am not destined to be enjoying the easter break
I remember that. It seems like yesterday. Time flies so fast as you get older
its started to grow back and she has just had 7 weeks of radiation
I'm so sorry about that Andreee. (((hugs)))
its benign sally so not too much of a worry
Oh no! I suppose it is too early to see if it has worked. Do they plan chemo/ops as well? I am so sorry Andree ((hugs))
no chemo for benign tumours, the radiation makes the tumour smaller and saves the prospect of more urgery
Eek! Just realised how many P words there are today. I'm sure there can't be that many in the dictionary.
Good to hear its benign. Still 7 weeks of radiation is fairly aggressive isn't it. Is she having any side effects from that?
not this time , she is fine and happy not to have surgery
i still need 26 p's, i suspect i won't get most of them until i put the list up
and I must be missing some sort of ending - I've only got 3 7's - and nothing bigger
There's an se 8/40 and plural which is a combination word, se 4/4+ a wet weather
or se 3 meaning ocean and a vehicle!
you are making me laugh Sally
good :-) Can't really see a common ending among the 7's I have.
Have you got the ve7 which is a game meat?
I found another couple of 7s in the v's
yes TY also another ve7.40
I have a ve 8 as well.
ooh must be my last v - TY
thx for these tips sally
np
Phew! Just got my last A word. 38 left :-(
Hint: lots of words to do with circulation of the blood today, and the organ which pumps it :-)
thanks Sally
there is also the drug used to thin the blood
Yes, just found that one Andree. There is certainly a theme here :-)
back in a bit
Taking a break too - hold the fort please Sally
OK! Sneaks into PB for remaining Easter eggs while no-one is looking and whistles nonchalantly, dribbling chocolate down her chin.
Never underestimate the lurkers, Sally..........
Wipes face hurriedly. You were saying?
They may be quiet, but they observe all..........
The spies are everywhere. I should have known when I saw the black helicopter hovering ...
*scribbling a note to Haz about PB raiding*
yes, I am willing to serve as a witness if needed... it was with malice and forethought
Hello
Ve haff vays of making you confess...
lol. I see the thought of stolen chocolate gets you out of the woodwork.
Oh, no! Not the chocolate thumbscrews again!
err hello?
Hi Herin. I am on guard-duty at the PB. There have been a few raids on the choclit....
off to a model train show (please don't ask, it is a sign of love for my husband!) see you all later!
Bye Katie. Well, all that chocolate has helped my brain power and I now have fireworks. Yippee!!! Soodle can relax her guard as I must be off. Thanks for the laughs everyone.
congrats sally
Enjoy the model trains :-)
WD Sally
ahhhh just realised it is a word, scooting off before sent to PB *poof*
I had to list at the end. Just too many words otherwise and real life intrudes.
Any clues needed before I poof?
No thanks, Sally - I will trundle on.
Ok then, byeee all.
ok my net company is offically not working right sigh
can anyone give a clue for the pa9?
Don't have it sorry
ty anyway
dromano - extend the pa4/5 above
and my net is broken
pa9/60 - extend the one who overtakes (pa6/21) with the last three letters of the number before ten.
Nice one, Haz - thank you
You're welcome. How's the toothache?
I am absolutely murdered with it. Been up all night. Panadol extra has zero effect. (Not that I am moaning, or anything...)
Is it an abcess?
Yup. My face is swollen, throbbing and very interesting looking....
And I take it no emergency dentist/pain clinic available?
Not a hope. I will struggle on till tomorrow. My Granny was right. Be true to your teeth and they never will be false to you....LOL
That's a shame - my sympathies! If you presented yourself at casualty, what would they do?
They would charge me €75, and tell me to see a dentist tomorrow!!
That's not a plan. You should live up north!
Tell me about it.... This country is gone to hell in a handcart....
We're hardly a shining example either, but we do have dental pain clinics. I hope you get some relief at some stage.
Thanks Haz.
Right, back to the housework for another while. I'm adopting the fresh eyes see fresh words approach. Back later.
SOrry to hear your owies Soodle.
Morning bad news soodle, have you tried the clove oil? or ibuprofen?
morning, soodle, soooo sorry your toothache has gotten worse :-(
it seems Une we have missed everyone!
:-D
ok, have a dog very anxious to go pee -- back in a mo :-)
Byeeeee.

Hi there Haz! and Volley.
Hello, Volley and FM.
hi fm!
Hi Volley, nice to see you. Did you ahve a good day yesterday Haz?
is periwinkle still here?
I did indeed, thanks, FM. How about you, did the travel arrangements work okay?
Everything went perfectly, was a lovely time :)
That's great! Did they like your new abode?
Mum who said don't cook too much managed to eat a 3 course meal and enjoy 2 glasses of bubbly and Step dad ate with gusto too. Yes they love the house.
I'm glad it all went so well and it's so much nicer when people eat with enthusiasm instead of picking over their food.
You could probably tell that Mr Haz is not a picky eater.
LOL, how could he be with your wonderful cookery!
Oh, he was well brought up - his father led by example.
Anyway he needs to keep his strenght up for his vetinary skills ;)
Yes, he's working today again.
Happy day after Easter, Babblers.. (-:
Hello, all!
Greetings Aloy!!!!! and Vi tooo how lovely :)
hi aloy, vic
We had the phone over the weekend. The funniest phone call was the old lady who had previously worried about giving her cat shingles. This time it was to ask whether she should give it an egg. It had already had one egg this week. I said no. (Hard-hearted or what?)
Hello Vi and Aloy, nice to see you both!
mornin babblers!
Do cats eat eggs? Never heard of such a thing.
Hello EvaN - they're all gathering in.
enjoying a "bouquet" of babble icons
Do eggs give shingles?
no, chicken pox give shingles (same virus)
All of these questions will be answered on the next episode, to stay tuned :))
Apparently this one loves eggs - didn't ask whether it was boiled, scrambled or what, but I thought it better not to risk anything. She just likes a chat, I think.
phone brb
What of the Twins of Glory, Vi?
If chicken pox give shingles, then maybe chicken eggs do too.
Glorious, Haz, thanks. =D
Maybe they do, VI. This old lady is a frequent caller - she's besotted with her cat, lives alone and worries about every little thing. She had shingles herself and was afraid she was going to give it to the cat, but she was reassured on that point.
You need to hook this woman up with another of your frequent callers so they can chat amongst themselves.
A kind of support group?
fireworks! Now I have to do chores :(
Well done, Volley!
congratulations, Volley, wtg!!!!
ty!
Congrats Volley!!
glad to have lickety for this one
Yay for VolleymonDee! ... or maybe not yay if chores ensue.
T'was Mum on the phone with more plating suggestions :)
hope you all have a great day!!! *poofing with hugs*
Bye, Volley!
lol I'll save a yay for after chores lol
or planting even!
ah, for your garden.. how is it coming along, FM?
As in silverplating, or as in arranging food on a plate?
Oooh, not plating at all. lol
I wondered - I was trying to think what you were going to get silver plated.
There is much burgeoning going on :)
Oh, here, too. I love just going around and seeing what's sprouting now!
It's utterly luscious.
She brought over 3 pots of cyclamen so I will plant them under the hedge as they love the shady side of a garden.
so lovely!
Lovely.
Do you know what colours yet?
She has a huge patch of them in her garden so had got the gardener to dig some up for me. Umm eith er purple or white.
it will be a surprise
The white are my favorite. I have a few and they are spreading [very] slowly.
are they hardy over the winter?
Yes the are Aloy.
Florist cyclamen are not hardy here, but there are hardy ones.
ooh.. taking notes
They're such delicate looking flowers that they don't look as though they should be, but miraculously they are.
The sun has finally decided to show its face, yay!
i have hardy cyclamen!! They really ARE hardy and they spread :-)
Hi there Une!
Hello, Une.
hey, fmitch :-)
I know! We started off the day with rain, but the wind has got rid of the clouds and we have sun as well. A great drying day for laundry!
Hello, Une.
hey, haz, check out latest pic of my mom's senior springer -- looking good, eh?!
howdy, vi :-)
Haz did I tell you that I have decided to remew the lease for another 12 months and the landlady has given the go ahead for me to plant the garden as I wish?
She certainly is - how old is Derby?
"he" . . . I think he's 11 now
That's great news, FM, you're putting down roots, literally.
Hi Une! Haz, I have a load of laundry started with just that intention.. using Mother Nature for the "dry cycle"
Oh, that's fun, FM!
cool, fmitch!
He - I realised afterward that it was probably he.
howdy, aloy!!
Lovely pic Une.
There's nothing like laundry dried outside. I've even got mine ironed already.
ironed? newbie for me, lol
My laundry line broke. I've got to get it fixed in time to take advantage of the good drying weather we have here. (Sigh. One more chore.)
Doffs hat to Haz's domestic skills. I have my cleaning lady coming in the morning *grin*
my line is strung between two palm trees
Aloy turns green with envy reading FM's post
How exotic drying yr laundry between 2 palm trees!
phantom: hosier
I hope you left room for your hammock between two palm trees!
Phantom passion. Sounds so sad. ;)
Oh now that is a much beter use of 2 palm trees Vi, good thinking! Break out the cabana boys!
Vicuna, I am using the hammock on my lanai table.. it is very colorful and makes a lovely cover
ANd better for backs that need firm support? lol
lol.. very firm!
Vi love your icon, simple but effective - one of your creations I presume?
daughter and s-i-l had a very scary encounter with a huge diamond back rattler on a trail in AZ day before yesterday.. 2 feet away
Yes, it is. But I was just thinking how much nicer your colored version is!
Eeek Aloy!
Yikes, Aloy! Rattlers are definitely best enjoyed from a distance!
this one gave off a very loud rattle, making them both jump out of harm's way, fortunately
Am glad that I live in England
No snakes at all on this side of the water!
It's quite civil of rattlesnakes to warn us, though.
daughter stayed behind to keep an eye on Mr. Rattler (so she could warn their friends who were behind them) while s-i-l hiked ahead as they had to pick up the pooches from their "day spa"
Who's going to ask? Day spa? For dogs?
Thatns to Saint 'whathisname' Haz?
I saw a timber rattler hiking in CA, but nowhere near the size of the one they encountered... lol, Haz.. yes, they have day spas for dogs..
none at ALL? then why did i read about one in 'talboys'?
I was but you did it for me, thanks :)
you just mean no deadly ones, right?
No snakes at all in Ireland.
Hi hurshy
Patrick. Ordered them out. We haven't even got adders or grass snakes.
nicer than "kennels" for boarding.. they exercise them and pamper them.. hi hurshy
Hi, hurshy.
So, in reality, Spangle and Hobbit live in day spas, except that they don't really know it.
patrick... ordered... them... out... ???
hi all
exactly, Haz
So the legend goes hursh
hi Boobear!
Clearly you're not up to date with your St Patrick stories, hurshy.
hi vi, hi haz, fm, alo, boobear
Hi Boo.
ok, so none in ireland, but what about england?
The adder is the most we have to worry about.
When I was a kid living in Ireland for a year my class painted a mural of a woodland scene on the school wall. Naturally I put in a snake in addition to the various birds, foxes, squirrels, etc... It was only much later that I realized how bizarre the other kids must have thought that.
They probably thought you had got the perspective wrong for a worm.
Or is it proportion?
lol Vi
Whereabouts did you live in Ireland, Vi?
so ireland is where i should live, then
Galway
we have lots and lots of snakes.. most of them are "friends", like the black racer... except when it sneaks in the house
*shudder*
Spent a summer in Northern Ireland during college, though.
It's pretty scenic in Galway, isn't it?
I like snakes, except, of course, poisonous ones at close range.
it was under my computer bag in the den... I think they heard me all the way north when I discovered it
i don't like any of them at any range whatsoever
Really? Whereabouts in NI? We may have passed each other and not known.
i have trouble even dealing with pics of them
(sorry if i missed any comments or questions -- phone call!)
I'm with you on that one, hurshy. I'm really not keen at all.
The Burren is just amazing, like another world. ANd of course the castles scattered about with reckless abandon is a dream come true for any fantasy-loving US-ian.
even the WORD bothers me. i call them BCs instead. (bad creatures)
Well, we started up in Belfast, but spent most of the time in Newcastle. I was working with the Ulster Quaker Service Committee.
But that's the thing, we get complacent about our castles.
Newcastle and the Mournes are very scenic as well.
That would have been the summer of 1989, I think.
complacent about castles! oh, my ! LOL
daughter will be in Ireland this summer, must ask her for details as to location
is there a newcastle in ireland or do you mean the one in england by the border of scotland?
I grew up three miles from Carrickfergus - the castle there is 12th century and it was only as I grew up that I started to realised that it's quite something to have something that old.
There's a Newcastle in County Down in Northern IReland as well as Newcastle upon Tyne.
I absolutely love the landscape and history there.
There's also a Newcastle suburb of Galway, which is actually where we lived there, funnily enough.
newnewcastle, newnewnewcastle...
1989 - trying to remember what I was doing in 1989. Being a young mother, mostly.
Lots and lots of castles - quite a few of them are bound to be "new"! lol
I think we were complacent about them because we didn't realise that other people didn't have them - or at least people from the States etc.
People always take their own treasures for granted, I'm afraid.
Environmental as well as historical, unfortunately.
so tweazhuh youw wuv...
home keys, hurshy?
lol You mean wuv youw tweashures.
hi, folks
home keys?? princess bride.
Hello, welki.
Hello, welki.
slooow brain here, got it now
hi welki
I must go and walk about a bit, been stting for toon long. Lovely to chat and TTFN!
Toodle-oo, FM.
Farewell, FM. Enjoy the moving about!
great to see you, FM.. have a wonderful day (( )) >>>
g'day all. Hope all had a good wkend.
Hello, jmitch.
Hello, jmitch.
hi jmitch !
In Jane Austen's day, FM would be inviting herself to take a turn about the room.
:)
The better to show off her figure, no doubt.
Well, I have fied my taxes, finally. Hello all.
hi red, and congrats on getting that chore done
hi, jm, red
Yay for redturtle! (Assuming you filed them and not fried them, of ocurse.)
I still feel like this year I may have done it wrong, but....they are filed.
Hello, red. Are they done online?
I did file online, and I am luckier than most as Florida has no state taxes.
they have to do something to make people want to live there, with all the deadly creatures around
god bless H+R block;)) morning everyone
and the hurricanes
and the heat & humidity
I Love Florida.
Hello, crossy.
i'm over 150 into this and I have not stumbled on any V words?
Hello, crosshair.
Especially for all of the creatures, the heat and humidity and indeed the hurricanes...of course I live in Central.
There's deer meat for one v.
jmitch, odd I hae no V words either.
prices for living in paradise
what about the old people? well i guess that's business, for you.
Thnks Haz!!!!!
Hello all - I am struggling with those v words - anyone got the ve8
i have one v word .. deer meat
NBT thanks HAZ!
ve5 - part of snake poison, v + backwards pre-ten number
^5 haz
and pl
ve8 - ends in a prominent feature on your face.
ooh, ty for that one, welki..
ve6/27 - ve plus number before ten.
got that one vicuna. ve6/7 type of finish
ve6/27 - ve + ---- go bragh, backwards... and pl
and ty, Haz.. missed that one too
ve5 ends with the opp of out
All the v words begin with the same three letters.
yay, v's are vanquished, ty for the help
Well done, Aloy.
thanks everyone - team effort on the v's
brb, seeking food for tired monkeys
victory over V....thanks all
thanks for all the V's!
now must shower, been walking the dog and well, its hot and humid out.
ve 8/55 5/16 6/27 7/40..what did i miss?
what about the lowest N?
Well, I guess I need to wander off now, too. Back later for the dregs. Bye, all.
ni5/10 comes from there.
Bye Vi, nice to see you.
aha, eureka
ty haz
crossy, there are two forms of ve6/27 coming fromthe initial ve5/16.
clues for the v's are below crossy
ty haz
Also, ve6/27, first letters as before, then first three letters of the Emerald Isle. Make that plural for ve7/40
and ty all v cluers
did i ever tell you haz that your my favorite babble gal?(crossy puts extra rasher of bacon on for haz):))
of course she is, she's the Queen of the World!
I've always hoped that i was your favourite.
But I've seen you saying the same thing to other girls when they give you clues. But maybe you didn't mean it for them.
I can see that you're writing with sincerity font this time.
good morning everyone
And is the bacon maple cure? That's my favourite.
Good morning, flosey.
hi flosey!
hi Aloy
Haz, remember that old..........when I'm not with the one I love, I .................
of course, hickory smoked and maple cured..there no other kind for crossy:)\
I've just googled it, flosey!
ah, you didn't remember it! don't remember who sang it
hello
could be when I'm not NEAR.....
hi harpjane
When I'm not ne4/4 the girl I love the girl I'm ne4/4. From Finian's rainbow.
ah, that's it
Not ne4/4 the girl I love, I love the girl I'm ne4/4.
brings te4/4 to my eye
Just be glad it's not Vicuna singing it.
A lovely girl, a fine babbler, but not a note in her head.
lol, poor Vicuna
hubby is that way!
lol,i can talk the birds down from the trees if needed, but alas my singing sounds like golf balls rolling around the bottom of a dust bin:/
But does he know it himself? Vicuna can't be persuaded that she's not worthy of singing operatic ar5/10.
Im sure Mrs Crossy loves you anyway
what's the letter count on the top O? please?
she is the one i talked down from the trees for my very own;)))))
oo4
one four letter word
It's funny, our older daughter was always able to sing perfectly in tune, right from she was very young. We didn't realise that this was unusual until we attended her first school concert and heard this cacaphony of noise from the other children.
thanks
enjoyed the company.. fireworks send me to the clothesline.. (-: bye Babblers, see you next grid.
lol Haz, all kids love to sing, seems they're unable to hear that they could be off key, they just sing their little hearts out
congrat aloy
Bye, Aloy, happy drying.
being an administrative assistant... the buck doesn't stop here, which is nice, but when someone needs information urgently that i do not have, it is not so nice
ooh, tks for reminder to look at clock, have to leave in 1/2 hr. for an hour of pool exercises
I know, flosey, but it was noticeable that as they got older the tune became more prominent.
oh, ouch
Are you under pressure today, hurshy?
common flosey, you are busted, but i have scrabbled eggs with cheese and bacon in the pb
lol, wondered when someone would pick that up - and in uppercase too!
breakfast sounds wonderful Crossy
can I ask for a clue from the PB?
Of course.
can't find the last te6
well, apparently there is some question about money that was donated to the med school by a certain corporation. we also received a grant from this corporation, and our legal dept and public relations and so forth want some info about that so they can respond to media inquiries.
te6/24 - same structure as se6/24 - looking like the start of a heavenly creature.
Or te plus Mr Nader minus an L.
it's annoying, cause it's really nothing to do with us, but everybody wants an answer right away, and people are out at meetings and stuff
thats why when i donate,i do not let the left hand know what the right is doing.when donations become a chore, the big boys will back out:(
thanks Haz, that's it
And they can't just tell the media 'No comment' I suppose.
poor hurshy
oops, no, had that, there's another one after it
You're welcome, flosey, glad you got it.
well, they can do whatever they want - only it's not my place to suggest that to them!
There's te6/18 before it, looks like a plural for preceding te5/10. (te plus three letters of precipitation)
yes, missed your first clue, sorry, things moving too fast for these old eyes
No problem.
we have a huge philantropist(sp) by the name of peter munk he has given millions and millions to our hospitals and all you see of him is a teeny tiny plaque buried in some corner
He's obviously giving for the joy of knowing that the money makes a difference than for anything else. Good for him.
indeed
one thing i did find out was he outfitted an entire prenatal wing with all the hardware and the cost of installation..just when you think the big cats are tightwads lol
49 to go, have to get ready now, bbl
tc flosey
See you later, flosey.
how fortunate you are there crossy, to have such a well equipped facility
bye flosey - enjoy your swimming
Many cancer charities do depend on the generosity of the corporate donations, but there's always the knowledge that they want some publicity out of it.
It's unusual to have a no-strings attached donation like that, but it's great that there are still people like that around.
indeed it is:) makes one feel better bout the world;)
OKay, I must shift myself and the hound to get a bit of exercise and fresh air. Enjoy the rest of the day and this very nice grid. Bye for now!
*gone*
104 left - need to list
hi Momneedshelp
hi Boo - how are you
I am fine. How was your easter?
Easter was great - ate too much wonderful food - beautiful day to enjoy with family. How often do we get to sit out in the sun begining of April. Hope yours was good as well.

i got one pa9/60
se9/54
are they weird or normal?
Finished!
hmmm - more normal than weird
congrats mudd
ok, then i'll look for them awhile
aha, remembered about that se!
ty, bbl, I'll wish you all a good week in case I am not.
does the pa start with the "by the side of" prefix?
or is it, perhaps, a compound of duo and something?
hurshy pls help on the se9...
I think the pa9 is a type of bird
se is two words together
hello everybody
congrats, mudd
se 8, 9 are compound words
well, it's either amtrak in the ocean or a bench in precipitation, ruby
hello seain
the pa builds off of the 5/12
se 4 + precipitation
hi, ruby
ty, hurshy
amtrak in the ocean is a riot!
which 5/12? song of praise? city in france?
the pa that is no longer relevant
ok, thanks
ty, momneeds
i believe the pa 9 is a pigeon
I just got to half, duh!
clue for the 2nd and 3rd tr6/18 please
it's a class of birds
but not pigeonsa
hello hootowl
Hi hoot

fraid not - ciggies
no - back & forth
buy ciggies on line
hmm. we are a little sluggish in the chog today
I'm trying to quit so buying packs and rationing
hello boo
very slow response time today
i need to quit too - got a prescription for the new drug thats helps to stop the cravings - need to fill it
is it the chog or comcast? First time in weeks I haven't gotten red boxes of death
hi ruby
Well I'm in a quit thingy and they gave me Commit logenges. But they give me a sore throat so I tend not to use them.
i quit in 2002,best thing i ever did.id be pushing up the daisys by now otherwise
I give up; this grid is too hard for me! Good night everybody
hello...i'm not getting red boxes, but the chog does seem slow
we can help ruby
Someone said the slow was due to too big icons and I'm afraid you qualify mom
g'nite ruby
crossy, it was a dust bunny in the fan, not the hard drive
for easter!
ruby it's not hard - keep trying
I'll see what I can find to change it
mom, you and I will have to encourage each other!
I have nothing for the bottom right e or the middle e or the v or the 2nd column upper o
indeed,it is impossible to enjoy at that size anyways
you can see why I'm discouraged!
bottom right e is a babblet: ep4 ep + half a laugh
ve6&7
ty une!
yw :-)
I didn't have any v's until they were clued about an hour ago! and I've been doing this for about 3-4 years!
ea4...to alleviate
on5/10 the beginning, like the on5 of a cold
sue I just got 2 v's, one 5 and one 6 hahah
yes the v's were . . . challenging :-)
one is deer meat
ohhh, tx, hoot!!
thank you thank you, my board doesn't look so terrible now!
it is more like a piece of nice wood glued to a piece of plywood
snake poison then add vowel, then plural
another babblet . . . os4/4 . . . os + you get a drink in a b**
re-hi, everyone
then take the mid poison and change the last consonant and pl that
hey, welki :-)
op4/6 almost Ms. Winfrey
hi welki
the bit** is the 8 - ve + half of goose and the **** on your face
another os4 babblet: os + opp of happy is **d
pup needs to pee -- BRB
it wont let me change it - not giving me the options - Ill try from home later
huge icon
thank you for all of the v's
Hoot I would love a quitting buddy
I learned yesterday that my next door neighbors have foxes that come in their yard in the daytime
They would probably come in here but are afraid of the dogs
it's a deal mom - my email is in my profile
yw ruby
I need to pick a date - fill the prescription - need to be on it for 2 weeks before quit date. So help me pick a date.
how about 2 weeks form today Mom.
your choice - whenever is convenient
I am sorry but I really despise smoking.
and I do commend anyone for attempting to quit as that is hard.
I vote for 2 weeks from today!
gd night everybody
Cant get it filled today - how about april 22 - that is earth day - what better day to start
Yaaaaay Mom!
good night ruby
'night ruby
works for me!
Mom is quitting with Hoot on April 22.
OK we are a go - thanks hoot
thank you!
gets out Pom poms to cheer for the two quitters.
ok red - pom poms are more encouraging than expletives
SHould I use expletives? I am not really go at that.
lol Red
trying to get a cheer together including expletives and Pom poms.
Da**! I did just spill coffee all over the white shirt will have to change for meeting post haste.
good luck ladies.
forget the expletives! just meant that telling and retelling how bad it is - is not helpful. We know that
ty
Now a good expletive is what these P's need!
I never said it was bad, just that I personally hate it!
I also hate dark chocolate.
about the same amount.
blasphemy
I don't like any kind of chocolate
what is wrong with you two
must go locate another shirt. Be back after meeting...ruins my perfectly good day off!
Bye
*grabs her chest* hold on! stop right there!! no chocolate? none? zero? nada?
chocolate is a gift from the gods
chocolate is part of an intricate calorie allowance that I prefer to substitute with alchohol ;)
i don't care who gives chocolate to me :)
Hi Nancy Boy - they go so well together too
*alcohol
typing on my phone - break at work!
when I was a kid I gave it up for lent and never went back. I do eat an occasional candy bar but prefer peeps - just sugar!
<-- makes a chocolate martini with a wee bit of espresso flavoring
ohhh welki - yum
expensive to make, but worth it
now alcohol is something I can enjoy. Except rye and gin which I am allergic to!
ughhhh...can't stand ANY coffee flavoured things at all. Including coffee!
Took a few headaches to figure that one out
fine .. will leave the espresso out of the equation
we just had chocolat martinis on girls weekend.
like coffee and tea
what is your drink preference Nancy
much better ;) keep talking about nice drinks, though. I've been pulling pints of beer for old men all afternoon.
I'm very partial to mojitos, Mom, but will generally consume any kind of spirit + mixer combo. Can't stand beer!
well what else do those old men have to do - I'm waiting to get out of work for my nicely chilled chardonnay. Im not a beer lover either
I used to make my own beer in NY. Afraid to try here cause the water is so different
oops...break over, now back to pulling pints of beer for aforementioned old men, and contending their disapproving glances at my flamboyancy ;) later all!
Can't drink wine. Too bitter. And I sometimes get headaches. A sweet or semi-sweet can do.
I just made my own wine - waiting for it to age properly age - getting tough looking at those pretty bottles
watch out for those old men Nancy
oh Nancy be as flamboyant as you like.
crossy warbles...aint one thing in this whole world worth a solitary dine..but old dogs and children and watermellon wine..laaa laa...mmmm need my meds..brb
dime
Crossy - One of my favouritest songs of all time. Good old Tom T!!
:)
clue for the first pa 5/12
Doh boo> Use your snake letter....
a commoner
a song of praise - lots of vowels in the center
well boyhowdy, i learn something new every day .. thought it was just a fancy schmancy way of spelling that commoner/laborer word .. thanks, hoot!
Heh, actually, it isn't the song of praise, either. That has diff. final vowel. This one is some metrical thing.
Just looked it up.
ok - I wondered where you got that from. yw
Hello, again, folks.
ok Vi - then where did I get that idea from?
Because the song of praise is exactly same except a diff final vowel. I thought ti was an alt spelling myself, which is why I just looked it up!
BUT, the more important question is: Did Boo get the word?
aah - i get it - tx
boo - where are you?
Poor Boo is singing metrical songs of praise to serfs!
hahahahahaha
i am here hoot
Did you get it?
think so
?
there's alot of peas
No kidding. oof.
here you go soodles http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSMPzYN Xyk8
yeah - I'm having trouble with them too. And the ra's
I finally got the ra's but still working on pa's too
Ah, thanks so much, Crossy. I am listening as I babble. :))))
lol listening as well, have not heard it in years:)
You just can't help smiling as you listen, can you?
thanks, crossy
Has anyone else had problems with plurals disappearing and for that matter , while words disappearing????
disappearing from where?
Now I have to find the tape!
Disappearing from our word lists?
Your word list. Yesterday I stopped with 3 words to find. When I came back it was 7 to find!
I havent really noticed that
hey, can lexulous be played solo?
It erased 2 words and 2 plurals
clue for pa 6/24
Yes, against the computer on their website.
good music is universal;)))
church community
there are two, boo ... one is the pa***** priest and the other is pa**** carey, singer with different first letter
that's the first mom. Ican use the second
reverse that order! Time for a break!
got it - ty!
*grumble*
ty welki
yes hershy?
everything is going wrong today, is very frustrating.
Hurshy!
Crosshair - that was a real treat. Thank you very much.
I just came back on with 49 left to find and lo and behold all my words have been erased from my clues list
hootowl was just talking about that
Except for typing them back in does anyone know how I can fix this?
you're using lickety?
No - I don't use the clue list. I lose from the word list
try rebooting
will do hoot
clues list or word list?
ooh, I clicked "send words to clues" and it worked
<-- chopped liver
welki, I am using Babble Expert
and you are not chopped liver. LOL
:)
hi Annie
what is babble expert
like the old country soodles??.well here is a george jones as young as your going to see him! lol! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CUWNnL hmyA
only bad thing about this 5 day weekend i've had is that today's the last day of it and back to the tar pits tomorrow
It is a program that Lickety set up. Equity (bless her) sent it to me and my daughter (bless her too) did whatever you do to get it going. You can tell I know absolutely nothing about computers.
you need to ask lickety to send you the link, mom. i was scolded for giving out the url
I couldn't agree more welki
Hip-Hip HOORAY!! i have finally been approved for the training that i have been trying to get for about 10 months!!
(not that a good spanking isn't in order every now and again *LOLOL*)
about the holiday and work, not the scolding!
YAY for EvaNadine
i could really get used to staying at home, bugs ... really
wtg evanadine!
good for you EvaN
me too. I spent some time this morning on line trying to find out how to find out how much CPP I am eligible for. LOL
i start tomorrow + training lasts for the rest of the week. if i pass the test at the end, i will receive my certification!
were you able to get an estimate?
excellent Eva
Happy for you. What is the training?
Not yet but I have all the forms to fill out
Software Tester Certification training
are you close to retirement age ... or willing to take the (very severe) cut to benefits in exchange for early retirement?
aah that sounds good
im sure it will fun times...hehe
I am 59 now but my husband is 67. If I wait until I am 65, we may not ever have any time together and I might regret that more. Just gathering all the info
you'll have to wait until you turn 60, but it sounds like a plan, bugs
good for you bugs - life is too short - enjoy your time together while you can
carpe diem, folks
but you have to apply 6 months before you turn 60
clue for ph4/6
if you have the 5 lose the last letter
if you can, then do it ... like mom said, enjoy your time together. we've all heard the stories, the woulda, shoulda, couldas
p + pooh likes his ***ey
my older sister was advised to take it at 60 and invest the payments even while she worked because, if she did it right, she would make more from her investment than the larger pension would be
my folks were lucky enough to retire in their late 50's and had 15 years together before my dad passed when he was 70. They expected more but at least had all that time to travel and enjoy each other.
indeed, bugs, live smaller if needed but enjoy time with each other
money is useless when your dead
hi all how many words please?
256
256
i thought that your CPP is based on earnings .. either while working or saved/retirement pension earnings .. so, if you're working and collecting, how could that work out?
I agree crossy. Life is such a gamble
thank you
wife and i live much smaller now than before and we never regret it
i was making 65g,s in the city but up north i make around 30..but live better
I am taking a break - bbl - good luck everyone
did you have enough savings to see you through the transition portion of changing lifestyles?
because we've talked about it, too ... but worry what might happen if we think we might be able to live on less and find out that we made a boo-boo
just enough, but by the time we got rid of the high end toys, there was more than enough
its amazing what you think you need, and what you really need
*rolls eyes because she so knows about those high end toys*
back on break. again. cause someone spilled beer on me *cross*
like that bmw that was 65 thousand and a ton to insure,i now drive a toyota echo and save thousands a year
poor nb
I have been saving for my "old age" since forever but I don't know when old age starts and I can start spending some.
would love to live on a lake, no neighbors within earshot, back east ... ahhhhh
I smell like a brewery crossy! and can't type with much accuracy on this mobile phone
Hello NB. :)
but I'm sure you still look good nancy
MSN?
yeah, we have the vehicles, the rvs, the whole magillah ... but we didn't have them when we were young (there's that sense of entitlement rearing its head *lol*)
I am thinking I should travel now while I have the opportunity to without high insurance for health problems and then have the memories in old age
And welki...
JC! Caught me for another 15 minutes - don't have the typing speed for msn! I'm typing via the mobile at work :)
yes, jc?
Ah. I gathered that after I said it.
Was saying hi, welki - been a while.
yes, it's been about 24 hours since we last said hello *lol*
Is that Albie?
albie must be all grown now
Yes. He is a year now - tempus fugit.
a good example is when we do replace furniture we go to the antique shoppes instead of new..my computer is on a 1920,2 roll top desk.the lock is broken on it and someone tried to paint it in the past,so i got it for 45 dollars.i stripped it down to bare maple, rubbed murphys oil soap into it and it is a thing of beauty
they are better pieces than new any day
Hmmm. I didn't say hello 24 hours ago, welki? Or did I?
I was here very briefly...
Didn't finish the grid. No time.
for us, it's simply frightening to consider leaving our jobs and home with the hopes of being able to find a reasonably priced home and reasonably paid jobs in an area that would suit our needs
it is a gamble to be sure
j.c., we chatted for a couple of minutes
Goodness, did we? Must be losing my mind. :P
Sorry...my mind's on a lot right now.
you were chatting with NB, too
well who could forget that ;)
housing is very cheap in the maritimes welki but it is very cold so your heating expenses would be increased.
i was doing courrier for a big phone company in the city and on my way to my first heart attack,i dumped it all moved north and now run a service station for half my old pay
Could be. Probably with a few more, here and there.
how'd you find your new neighborhood? job? hit and hope?
absolutely crossy, do what makes you happy, not what makes the most $
sold the beemer as we left the city, rented a u-haul for our irreplacable things.then set up house 300 miles north
yes,hit and hope
find the area you love first, then the job
bugs, i've researched n.s. extensively and you're 100% right .. and it's unlikely that jobs will be handed over to newcomers when oldtimers are also looking for work
yes but if you want to retire there and live off the income you saved from where you are now, it could still be worth it
it does look beautiful tho
omg crossy...reminds me of the summer spent in korea working as an escort.
we considered buying a place now, but i'm a little squirrely about having renters in "my" house
one of my key ploys in filling out a resume and job hunting is that in the resume i put this.."i offer any prospective employer 5 free hours of work at no cost or obligation to either party to determine if we are suitable for each other"
You were an escort, NB?!
it has worked twice so far
I agree crossy. I did that once and it paid off
but --- there has to be work available if you want your resume to be read. (and for me, i'm looking to get a job that doesn't require much of a resume. if i move, i'm done with my "career," i want to go fishing first and work second :)
i got that hint from a book written in the 30,s during the depression
Nancy what did your father think you were doing there?
Never again. Yep. I worked in the korean version - not the same as western! basically, you get paid to sit around and have a few drinks with people. thought it would be fun - wasn't!
Ah. A little relieved - that it doesn't mean the same as it does here. ;)
i interview well, have had no problem obtaining the jobs i've applied for .. but again, there has to be some work available, and enough for both the people who already live in the area and folks like me, newbies
it was very appearance-orientated - you had to look perfect every evening, and be the complete life and soul. Plus, a lot of the women thought I was 'for hire'
oh no JC! thought I should clarify ;)
Or they hoped you were. ;)
And yes, a little clarification is a fine thing. Sometimes. ;)
Crossy--that's a great idea.. I might try that
i thought of escorting in my youth..but having to carry around all that change for 5 dollar bills got tiring ...hehe
anyway, i think Bugs should consider retiring early to have some time for the fun things she should be doing :)
Other times, keep them wondering - works for me.
HAHAHA, crosshair!
it's a completely different world - escort bars prefer femme guys because they're less threatening. but I had to be very polite to a lot of horrible people, in a language I barely knew ;)
:)
i know what you mean, crossy. my husband said, "$38.25? Who gave you the friggin' quarter?!" ... and i said, "They all did."
LOL
I don't usually interview well welki. I get too nervous and sound absolutely stupid. So I finally said, "I wouldn't hire me either based on the way I sound, but I know I can do what you want the way you want it done, so how about giving me a day without pay to show you what I can do." They took me on and I never looked back.
it does work
LOL Crossy - I used to get home exhausted from dancing with them all! basically, you do anything they want. scary.
You seem way to young Nancy to have done that
wow, bugs .. that took some major league cajones to make that challenge to them!
thanks for the vote welki! I am recording it on the + side
right, break is over - Mom, I was 18 ;) anyway, bbl!
just a baby!!!
I was desperate. Had been out of the work force for years and now had 2 little kids, a donated summer cabin to live in and no income whatsoever.

Yea, It didn't go that way on purpose, but definitely turned out well for me since I burn rice!
cooking well is something everyone should learn.you never know when your going to be all on your own and you do not want to spend a year eating kraft dinner
Crossy- that's why restaurants are around ;-)
lol assuming you have money
personally, I love cooking
lean cuisine
I love cooking, not the cleaning up afterwards as much, but I can even abide that.
I hate cooking. I am really good at heat up meals and tipping servers :)
i cooked for a day and a half for the holiday andf loverd every minute of it- am having company this evening to finish up the stuff
had orders to make my spaghetti sauce for next week
sammy- you should get paid for those "orders"!
I like trying new recipes. If I think it will make too much, I go my daughter's place and do it there so I have more mouths to eat it all and she appreciates the help.
i do with thank yous and hugs and kisses and clean plates and demands for more-lol
same here ... well I must go. Hope to be here tomorrow.
maybe that's it. The thanks I get when I cook is a dog that looks hungry and says, you want me to eat that? uuuh, no thanks, I'll eat my dog food!
I got totally turned off having to cook for the kids when they were young and husband worked at night. Repetitive and thankless. Especialy after a long demanding day at work.
my mom felt the same day - and she didn't even work outside the home!
*same way
haha
Okay, well I am headed out, have a good day everyone! Crossy- Good luck with dinner!

Hi Nancy - are you still smelling like a brewery

can anyone clue me on the PE
no, thank goodness! Got home and jumped into a hot shower. Only that's based on our flat's hot water system, so I jumped home into a warmish shower ;)
it has to be the female pe*cock again.
at least its warm - big plans now? Is it morning or night there
thanks red
iiiit's about twenty-five past 11 at night here, Mom :) I was landed with a horribly boring afternoon shift for once - usually I work evenings/nights but we were chronically short today, so it was more a pub atmosphere than a club atmosphere
am I the only one on slow mode today with this site
I am a little slow. today. Pub atmosphere is about my slow speed.
you are 5 hours ahead of me - Monday nights are probably the slowest anyway
well, I have now only 98 left.
are there any Ph words?
you'd think! it's always busy in the evenings, regardless of the day - on weekends the bar will be buried about five people deep all around, all shouting at you. It's pretty scary ;)
Nancy that sounds like my job in triage!
yes 3 PH words
yes 3 PH words
there are ph's
Okey. looking now.
LOL, Red! well yours is possibly more important ;)
I enter - its doesnt go and then goes twice - something wrong here
Nah, I think they are about the same.
I am sure you have your own version of triage nancy
(we aren't helped by the DJ - he constantly announces new drink offers, like two jaegerbombs for £5, and then the crowd of people will double in ten seconds flat...mental!)

wow! on my way! LOL
i can actually ski and boat right now..there are still 3 runs with snow on them lol and fishing is open
i tell ya, if moving wasn't so expensive, i think we'd consider the move east sooner than later
you have to pick you spots though welki,in collingwood cause it is so touristy the property takes run on average 3500 per year, but there is a small town no more than 3 minutes up the road and the taxes run 900 a year
taxes
this grid goes on an on, and I am now tired of it.
Oh no tax talk!!!!1!
Hi welki and cross and TO again.
it does ramble a bit
howdy red
there is this little town on the lower skirts of the hill called ravanna and i swear it has the most amazing view of georgian bay,but the whole places consists of 2 cow farms,3 houses and a small general store where they are famous for their apple pies lol
the cows have a million dollar view
yipes, i have to go ... will talk later, sounds AMAZING
you then cross this old iron bridge over this small river and you can hear it chuckling thought the stones cause of the spring run off, down into this little vally and there is a town called redwing (pop 325) and the river widens there and you can sit under the trees on this bed of moss and eat a nice picnic lunch and watch the trout babies jumping out of the water to snap at bugs
tc welki
sorry chat board i do tend to go on an on
i am a free agent. i choose not to finish.
i am a free agent . i choose not to finish. i will say this until i internalize it.
hello everyone -- just home from Vancouver -- had a great Easter weekend with the kids :)
hello all, 22 left and I am determined to finish
crossy I enjoyed your description, sounds like an amazing sight to behold!
just finished, any clues needed?
hi nan. hi peri hi luv
how about er7/28 pls
hi TO
er 7/28 I think is the act of removing something, like chalk from a blackboard
add the charged particle to the er 4/4
anyone here can answer a fb question?
ty Luv, now I only have 100 to go
you're well on your way vici
can't help TO, not on facebook
not sure I can help Owl but what is your question?
crossy forks the sign of the evil eye at FB
i posted on my profile page but it does not appear in the news feed
AND i have received two emails asking me tofriend folks at an address NOT registered with fb, and one of the folks is already my friend
clue for the 9s?
do know Owl
pa 9/60 add 2/3 of the number before 10 to the pa 6/21
se 8/40 Amtrak on the ocean & plural for the se 9/54
TO, when Facebook changed things awhile back, I had to "refriend" some people
how many pa 6's are there?
5 i think, nan
ok une. how did fb get my personal email addy when i am NOT registered under that email addy?
obviously don't have the right one for the 9 then!
dunno, just sayin' . . .
pa 6/21 one who goes beyond another, as in a race
ty lub
*luv
yw cybernab lol
i think you told me you had to refriend some folks, leading me to infer that i should refreind as the email requested...did i get that wrong?
i'm just sayin
i'm just sayin' that's what I had to do -- I thought you had some other issue as well, no?
something about your personal email?
Facebook confuses me quite frankly -- I'm no expert!
:-D
off to watch 24 -- later!
these requests come to personal email which FB does NOT have but the people are real friends
never mind. night
even though i love the computer i think we peaked with the tube radio lol
big band was king, getting a letter really meant something,we still thought smoking was ok for us and the ladies wore those fantastic seamed pantyhose;)
I think I am going to cheat a bit. I have 90 left and I am getting the list....
i wont tell red
well i might unless you clue ole crossy the 9,s hehe
I have one nine. let me see which one it is.
TO, still here?
Wait a minute I can not find my nine! oh its the ocean transport thats usually on land pluraled.
ty red
crossy I clued the 9's at 6:49
guess not. someone tell her that those requests are most likely from her friends, who DO have her email, and not facebook. she can email those friends to double check before accepting.
FB is so complex.
can't seem to find any v's -- any clues?
hi feather...it's asking me to friend mamabear in same email but i am already friends with her.
all v's start with same 3 letters : ve 8/55 ve + not old but **w + what you smell with
then don't do it! if you're ever not sure, don't. check with her at some point to see if she sent it to you.
ve 5/16 same 1st 3 letters + opp. of out
ve 6/27 ve + number before 10
deer meat
ve 6/27 plural of ve 5/16
any friend requests you get should show up when you log into facebook.
ty feather, one is DEF NOT showing up
on FB
wow -- ty -- that gave me 4 of them
5 of them
ve 6/27 ends in another word for anger
and plural for the ve 7/40
you can also go into your account or privacy settings, and make sure that facebook doesn't send you emails for anything. i never get any email from them, i've unchecked all my boxes.
last ve 7/40 is deer meet
meat I mean
ty luv -- missed one in there somewhere, but I'm sure it will show up ;)
yw nan, let me know which one and I'll try to clue it another way
Luv - the other sort of der meet is known as The Rut. LOL
lol Jacula true
ah -- got them all -- had missed a plural -- ty
*deer.
160 down and list time
Sorry, can't spell tonight, so I shouldn't make fun of others. I'm tirdof word tornado on FB, where I've only met one person in a game willing to chat.
don't worry Jacula it was a cute joke
i have never played word tornado. is it good?
babble is much more than just a word hunt;)
true cross, I really have been amazed at how great we babblers are. When I was on assignment in New Meixco I was miserable and the babblers kept me going!
It's a good game once you get the hang of it, but I think they're a bit cliquey in there. Maybe same could be said of us, up to a point.
no, we are pretty friendly. THough there are a few who irritate the bejezus out of me....some may saythat of me too!
im sure ive rubbed some peoples fur the wrong way also;)
Professional Scrabble is the worst place to be - it's dog eat dog and no one cares if the letter combinations mean anything, only what the score is. Babble is much better.
I would hate that, I would lose.
ive tried pro scrabble and your right..too cold for me
I like babble because its a game that eveyone can win you know!
red - with so many players and chatters, it's inevitable that some of them will irriate us some of the time and others all of the time. But, despite that, I think we do bloody well as a community!
at 7, please?
and was getting tired of qua lol
indeed Jacs!!! I really enjoy getting to know people!
what is word tornado?
at 7/28 at + ***t and relaxation + me, myself and * + 1st vowel
Luv, thank goodness, that at is difficult to clue!
i play scramble
glad you could understand it, wasn't sure how to clue it
cyber - I'd have told you the at7 was a word for 'wells', but looking at the dictionary definition, it's closure of openings.
ty luv -- what a word!
I like scramble, a lot...
ty luv
Peri and I am engaged in grappling over there, she always seems to win but by only one or 2 points...
Scramble's olay, TO.
well i am not currently in a scramble game
i like to play scramble live as well...
as in "oil of " ?!
for a offline word game i was addicted to bookworm for over a year lol.wife and i used to compete for high scores
Hydra seems to constantly beat me on word games in FB, but I keep beating Peri there lately.
bookworm is a fun game, my son and I both played that
Bookworm goes on for bloody ever!
what a rip, i thought i was watching south pacific but appareantly there is a remake
Oh that darn hawaiian goose is here today AGAIN.
he 7 and 8???

TO - a remake of South Pacific? WHY???

To - or Bloody Mary doing Bali Hai
funny you should day - just watching bloody mary and thinking what a sterotype
i have become pc despite myself
My favourite musical of all time. I went to see it live at a local theatre and Rusty Lee was a perfect Bloody Mary.
not getting the at7
well i am turning this off. time to find internet readio
TO - you probably won't have heard of Rusty Lee. She's a Birmingham (UK) Caribbean lady who is loud, funny, a bloody good cook (she has a restaurant here) and she can act and sing.
at 7/28 a + sounds like Mother T****** but spelled differently
at + student dorm + 2 vowels
thank you

I gues we in UK finding Monty Python, Fawlty Towers and Mr. Bean funny is akin. Like I said, horses for courses.
Monty Python is very funny.
but peeps, well, they are quite American. I have never seen Fawlty Towers.

Peeps, are sort of a thing, you wither dont liek them at all or you adore them like TO and myself.
