we have just got a neighbours trotter in the paddock to keep our horse company till I get another one - it is so skinny - I hate some racing people they really don't care about their animals
ha ha.. I had that word..
ok -- then the baseball thing is worn on the hand (but loses a cons)
it chewed one of our trees -myhusband hates that - it doesn't really know how to graze
ok.. I gotta ... *poof*
i have the 78
yes...sandy some only think of the money they might make... glad it is visiting you
oops 7/8 but its their a 9?
ours chew on old stumps...it helps keep their teeth down so we don't have to pay the vet
we have so much grass - but I have fed it as well - if it has to go back because of tree chewing I will be upset
no 9s
I think I will stable it at night to keep it away from the trees and just put it out in the day-
to bad you weren't closer..or I wasn't closer to you ...you could use mine
oh oops thought i saw we had one never mind duhh
I cant rug it either because he doesn't rug and if I start and then stop it will get chilled
phant daikon
nice-looking horse, sandy, not that I know anything about horses.
I have sooo many rugs (I'm a rug junkie)
I had that issue with my old guy...he wouldn't stand to have a rug on...he destroyed a brand new one that cost me about 200 pounds in 24 hours
he was beautiful in his youth Jilli and won lots of prizes but he is 25 now
we had another horse here that ripped Scrimmy's rug up while he was wearing it - he is not here anymore
he's still lovely, sandy -- I did read your profile :)
all i can see on my icon is the dogs!
"Tank" associated the rug with being beaten
maybe you need to refresh

ok, once through Lickety's list, 32 left
and just got 2 more
think I've hit the wall with 36 to go
clue for ca6/21, pls?
add a vowel to ca5 before it
ty flo :)
yw jill
I don't have any of those da6 and 7s -- does anyone here?
have the first 6 and 7 - almost the gems we were discussing earlier
omit last letter
don't have the 6 before those
with first 2 vowels in wrong order
ty flo
yw jill
I tried the same first 5 letters ages ago -- a Japanese word, I think -- but it didn't work, of course :(
first 6 letters, I mean
don't have the second 6 and 7
oh well -- maybe they'll come later (via morewords if necessary!)
yes, if I get frustrated enough
does anyone have the et6 and 7?
dee scared me about the et6 & 7 -- new to her, she said, so unknown to me, I'm sure!
hmmm, guess that'll be a morewords then - later
yep!
whee, Ks Konkered
wtg jilli, nice feeling eh!
indeed :)
aha, just got the ti7
18 to go, but just too tired
taking a break, watching RAchel Maddow give the speech she thinks Obama should have given yesterday
goodnight all (looks like it's just you and me jilli - at least for last 3/4 hour
that should be interesting jill
She is fabulous.
I hope it will be on YouTube.
Goonight, flo -- 21 left here and I haven't been through Lickety for the second time yet.

fireworks
Happy babbling jill

Hi
good morning everyone including sandrafrances
Hi
hi herin

Hi
I am just looking at http://icanhascheezburger.com/ very cute
funny and cute
THere is this little ginger kitten having a mental at itself in a mirror
Dang it is cold
cold here too
i keep getting distracted LOL
I just am not paying attention at all
I don't think I should have had that coffee
gd morning everybody!
HI ruby
I think that cat photo-montae was adorable!
montage* still dopey (always dopey) shis AM, need Herin's coffee!
I had a late coffee tends to send me potty
hi ruby
hello sandy. great photo!
potty is better than dopey!
ruby, all I see is my old icon the two dogs
I see a lovely horse
that is our old boy Scrimmy
his show name is Mr Scrimshaw
our deceased little black chow chow, Cleo, used to visit the local old white horse who lived nearby with two donkeys, and the tiny dog would bite their necks and they would nuzzle here
her*
Awww
Scrimmy is very kind to dogs also - they can do anything to him andhe never hurts them
I think her little nibbles felt good to those big guys
Can you give me a clue for the re5/10 I can't get it and its driving me crazy
I watched last night this thing on hot shoeing horses. The horses were very patient
too soon for me, sandy, I only have 31 words
Morning everyone
they are amazingly used to things like that
we are looking after a trotter from over the road to give Scrimmy some company at the moment- it is so skinny - it is disgraceful- these racing people often don't care about their horses they are only in it for the money
I just had a stella idea
we have lovely paddocks and I am secretly feeding it- Bruce won't have it here if it chews our trees so I hope things will work out so I can give it some TLC
what is your idea
morning sally
I have one re 5/10 sandy, don't know if it is the only one. Do you still need a clue?
Renovating the stupid pull down blind in the kitchen I think it is tailor fit
yes i am going mad! its probably a fish!
Hi Sallyy
re plus shortened nickname for babbler with a dog called Hobbit
LOL what a great clue , thankyou
:-)

Hi everybody - any clues for the un's?
have 12 d s left then im finished
Hi Soodle
if you have the mi6/24 it will help with two of them
the other is un + what you call yourself + peas come in a ***
does that help?
un6/27 = un + a very popular mobile way of listening to music.
Stand on one foot and say that!
Morning/evening all.
lol Doug, great clue
funny doug
ty Mitch
hi mitch
Are there any chemical elements in the grid? I want there to be
Hi sandy.
FM I ave the bestest news
there is some chemical reference of a sort
Fraid not Dough but there is an eskimo's boat Oooh what is that herin?
I wanted to tell you yesterday
Incoming longish post
Consumer Protection Law 60 C Civil Procedure 70 D The Conveyancing Process 82 HD Probate And Administration 89 HD Manage Payroll 68 C C = Credit D=Distinction HD High Distinction.
You rock, herin!
Wow!!!! There is no stopping you now. Well done :)
I'm back. Plumber arrived to fix @!! broken toilets
and he whistles, so Ruby is going crazy!
wow and wow herin fantastic well done jolly well done
Thank you. I am stoked with Probate. All that hard work paid off
have to go and pretend to be working bbl
Morning ruby.
Former Governor Romney is in the grid
that was supposed to be 2! but the symbol works just as well and DH says "toilets don't break; they last forever!" Right
There is still a couple more results to go but they are taking their time (well more my fault as I handed in late)
Hi FM, Hello Sally, hiya Douglas
Hello ruby
and I am hatching an idea for a couple of projects
IS this the end of the course herin or does it continue after the summer break?
Just the winter break
lol winter break of course!
I wish it was Summer its cold
"Sm5 me, O mighty sm5r!" was a great line from the movie "Bruce Almighty"
This is my idea: http://tinyurl.com/273xnhw
Just picked up the un- clues. Many thanks all :)
Morning Soodle
Phone brb
Good morning/evening all.
Good Morning Babblers!
Hey FM, Douglas, Herin, Ruby, Sandy and everybody :)
Good morning Soodle
HI red
Hello all - we got a hiding from Uruguay last night :(
Red even
Good morning red, Haz and ursh
All we're hearing about here are the vuvuzelas. And no, they aren't a word
Back, gardener had arrived.
I can't imagine how loud they must be in reality.
shame Kimono is not in the grid.
My phantom today is numpty.
OMG. Dont know how many here know the story of how my beloved (!) husband of 20 years upped and left us 3 years ago. Well, he has just skyped me, and he is bloated and bald. I laughed my head off!!
They are very loud - there were some being blown in the High Street on the day of the England match.
There's justice in the world, eh, soodle!
dreadful noise in my opinion - my young cat is completely freaked out by the vuvuzela noise even on tv
they say they can approach thenosie of a jet engiene.
oops engine. just waking.
I knew there were threats of them being brought back to the UK. I can see the Health and Safety people out with their wee machines to determine noise levels.
They say time wounds all heels
especially when wearing stilettos Dough :)
Lol Douglas & FM
I have a suggestion as to were those damn horns could be placed
I guess your not talking about wounded heels, Herin?
I'll help herin
Your Poor Cat Ursh
Ayn Rand is in the grid (Ayn, not Rand)
goota go, most excited temp has dropped to modest 75 or 24 C. running time. Hope everyone has a lovely day...
Bye, red.
Bye Red.
I love having a break I have all these craft ideas I want to do
What will you do with that Ikea fabric, herin?
As it is a repeat pattern I can do a few things. Cut up one panel and have a full panel the remnants into smaller panels. Like the godzilla dark panel at the bottom as one piece and the little side panel as another. I also want to go to an op shop (thrift store) by some curtains and transfer them to our roller blind
aaah back , horses tucked up and fed in stable- sounds like you are an artist herin
Inner Artist Sandy. I have all these ideas but no $$$ or time
and I hate waste
No radius, no radium, no stadium
no crate
but take a letter out of that sandy for a 4/5
and add a vowel for a 6/21
I knew i would be in trouble for that one !! sorry
i have one left
I'm recalling a verse from an Ogden Nash poem about baseball... G is for Gehrig, The pride of the Stadium; His record, pure gold, His courage, pure radium
fireworks now
Yah Sanding
Congrats sandy!
Yay sandy!
Sandy opps (should look at screen not inhale pizza)
i don't know that poem doug- are you a baseball fan?
ooh thanks everyone
Dough you always make me smile.
and why oh why can't I spell your name right today :(
Dough - there's another classic from FM.
Congratulations, sandy!
*le sigh* thanks for that Haz, great to know who your friends are!
*smug*
pfffft!!!!!
I am, in a kinda sorta offhand way, I think I recalled that verse because I want radium and stadium in the grid
Ogden Nash was referring to Lou Gehrig's response in the face of having what is now known as Lou Gehrig's Disease
One of Gilbert & Sullivans operas in valid in the grid today.
do you want the sort of chemisty clue-its for im5/12?
interesting Doug
.... and it is not the pirates of penzance :)
I know! I was happy to find it, FM.
HAving to restain myself as want to go into free flowing clue mo4/6 as there are such a lovely bunch of words to clue today.
Needlecase alert.
*restrain even - and don't say a word Haz!
Oh, why restrain yourself? Let fling with the clues.
*gagged*
Stephen Hawking is currently inconvenienced by Lou Gehrig's Disease
*grin*
We have our Hugh & Laurie tag to live up to now :)
It could have been worse. It could have been Cannon and Ball, the Chuckle Brothers or (trembling) The Krankies.
OMG noooo to all of those.
And I have the overture playing of the G and S.
So who's on your list, then, Haz? :-)
What GnS is in here?
i am trying to work it out too
Sally, yesterday hurshy said that FM and I were like Fry and Laurie. We took it as a compliment!
The Mi6/36 herin
I see 'doily *****" dont think its that tho
Gilbert and Sullivan. mi6/36.
aah i know !!
o dear
nice link tho sandy
Yes, a good double act Haz.
'Three little maids from school are we' - that one.
And the one with the little list - hence my remark.
the one I saw and wanted to sleep
**flutters eye lashes from behind my fan*
Giggles at FM fluttering eye lashes.
How could you sleep through G and S? They're funny and the music is great!
where is ruru when there is some fluttering to be done?
I've seen it done professionally and it was very funny. They put all sorts of topical inserts in, especially in the list!
I think you ought to recollect you cannot show too much respect, toward the highly titled few, but nobody does and why should you?
easy. Now Madam Butterfly and others no
just wasnt my thing
I love G & S
same here too herin - juest really doesn't do it for me.
Remember taking a friend to see some trad jazz. She said, well, it was all right but one played a bit, then another played a bit, then they all played together. Was that all there was to it? .....!!!!
not keen on trad jazz I must say
Oh now jazz is a different story
We have a little amateur group of music teachers who call themselves Gaslight. They do concerts mostly of Gilbert and Sullivan stuff, combine it with comedy and they bring the house down every time.
used to take the kids to see the G &S productions they loved them
Local amdram is always worth seeing and supporting.
At least with Gilbert and Sullivan you can listen to the words and know what's going on.
even took Diana when she was only 2 to a nite performance and she stayed fixated the whole show and sang tarantarah tarantarah for the next months
PB for sally! "tr4/5 jazz"
It just makes me smile, the music, the whole working out of the stories.
Unless any clues are needed I had better head off for a while.
That Dough! Always ready to trap the unwary.
me too Haz
Aaah! Sorry. Grabs coffee, enters tr 4/5 quickly into grid, and slinks off to find chocolate.
In the cupboard by the fridge Sally.
FM has memorised the floor plan..;)
Thanks FM. Really shouldn't chat until I have done the grid. Bye for now. By the way, like seeing your flowers every day (assume from your new garden).
Man I really think a show I am watching is rigged
NB I built the PB!
FM built the PB, NB :-)
yes they are Sally and thanks.
true that ;) but I don't believe your excuses about it being the cabana boys' day off...I won't tell you what they did to earn their live of eternal servitude, but believe me, it'd shock.
how is everyone, by the way?
Hi Nancy
Morning all. Great icon, NB!!
NB how are you going?
Great thanks NB but have to go for now. Happy Babbling all and see you later.
Sandy do you watch Masterchef?
I think mitch is looking forward to the day... cleaning day?
Bye, FM.
We could write a G&S about BP
With Obama the dashing hero?
yes herin and i dont like joanne (is it?) either
its not on here yet another one and a half hours
thanks, Jay! thought it seems pretty appropriate...
dont tell me what happens
Not sure if h's goingto reach hero status--maybe a diver who caps the damn thing
and you know Sandy, really well, thanks. I'm moving out today, and I'm really nervous/excited
i feel verses coming on
Don't watch it I warn you. Taste tests get me in a shitty
Have you found somewhere nice to stay, NB?
oh , so it didnt work out then, Im sorry
And steer clear of FB to.
but a new adventure awaits !!
I heart Obama for tearing BP a new one (and then getting told off for it poo to them)
FB?
Facebook if you are there
Herin I am so dopey, my kids put me on it and I haven't a clue how it works but I don't like to send anyone messages because everyone seems to be able to read them I would rather email
Ok
how about emailing me why to avoid it?
oh yes Sally - been very lucky. Friend of mine has been looking for a new flatmate for a few months now. It's gonna be fun!
Sandy, if you look on your left side of the screen you can see which of your friends are on line, and yoiu can chat with them and no-one else can read. They can only read what you post in public on your wall.
If it's to be avoided, are you still watching it, herin?
So pleased for you NB. New start eh.
Sally, i think i would rather be here
ooh, and on that note, he'll be here to help me drag my stuff away in 10 minutes, so I'd better go. Thanks everyone for your support during this admittedly bizarre time...I best be off!
And no strings, so if things aren't right with a relationship they don't affect where you live. Good luck and {{hugs}}
NB you got a perminant place?
Internet?
keep safe nb
It's a good thing I'm past halfway, because my brains aren't being more smarter right now. Pomite, kader, minop, and the like is all I'm seeing. Good day/night all...
***As bait, Lori places exotic flower bulbs and a scantily clad cabana boy near the grid and waits quietly (again) for FM to nibble. Modified water cannon at the ready.***
***She shoos away Babblers that are being drawn to the handsome Cabana boy.***
I was only going to rub baby oil onto his already gleaming muscles, Lori.
(But I think FM is chatting up her cleaner, or gardening, or something.)
If you do that Sally, FM won't bite! ***Hands Sally her very own Cabana boy***
Boy oh boy oh boy this grid is NOT flowing for me. Yeesh
**Sally disappears for a while with Cabana Boy**
***With the trap free and clear, Lori bides her time....***
Grid isn't too bad when you get down to it.
Could be a lack of coffee or intelligence. Or both....
I think my jam doughnut helped.
Sally
Yes herin?
I am watching Gypsys on tv. THe annoying ones
ok I am going
Haha! Just found an mo 8/50 :-)
Okay, it's definitely intelligence. Was waaaaaaay overthinking that P. Looking for large words fancying myself smarter than I actually am. Gah
Good for you Sally!
good morning Babblers :)
Nono! G'd Mornin'
Hi Nono
I beg to differ, but itty is too a word.
sure is Lori! as in itty bitty
7 left, and finally listed. Can't believe some of the obvious ones I've missed.
Eggzactly. Enable has issues. Nice job Sally.
Fireworks! Any clues needed?
congrats Sally
Congratulations Sally! No Thanks, I'll muddle along.
Ok, will be off then. Good luck all.
Have a good one Sally.
have a nice day Sally
Gah, Haz's favorite embroidery holder is in this grid.
I think the only word that really threw me today was the eskimo boat, which I monkeyed - and its alternative spelling.
The lack of an accompanying volcano is sad.
No god of love either :-(
**gone**
darn, another K grid? Errr good afternoon all, bright and happy day to you all!
hello Sprite!
k's are not too bad today
hey Nanette :)
hah you are right! Got the Ks down already. How's the rest of the grid today?
well i have 97 words so far without much trouble
sounds like a smoothie then :)
sally did drop a clue about an alaskan boat and its alternate spelling earlier that is a bit sticky
ah, great, will keep that in mind.
hello everybody. First 35 were easy....
hi rubyfoo
hi Ruby!
cold and nasty here, doesn't feel like mid-June!
I think I'll be raising mushrooms and escargots, rather than fruit!
hard but interesting grid, at least for me! I can't imagine anybody getting fireworks!
Good morning {{{Nono, Sprite, Ruby, Sally, Lori and any lurkers}}}
hiya Mom
hi (((Mom)))
Love your saying, Sprite
hello {{mom}}
thanks Mom :)
over halfway, including the Ks. Looks friendly to me so far, as you said, Nanette!
wtg sprite
I hate K words, congrats to you Sprite.
with 13 to go its getting slow
have mananged quite a few words with the "TTY" ending
right with you on that, Mom!
and go Nanette!
the K words are easy today Mom
hey!
way to go Nono, only 13 left
hi kje
{{{KJE}}} I haven't seen you in ages, how have you been?
ah got the inuit boat. Thanks Sally and Nanette.
hi (((mom)))

wtg sprite
morning all!
morning Dan!
aaaaahhhhh - the proud papa!
morning Dan
hiya dan!
cute pic, dan2
thanks - herself slept 6 hours last night. in a row!
can't imagine how you spell the inuit boat!
that's great Dan
I am wondering the same thing Ruby
ooooo - lucky!
alt. spelling for the first letter, ladies
what a lovely baby!!! congrats dan2!
dan that is lovely! So you could sleep too.
yes, we (more importantly mrs2bit) could
Ruby, did you get it?
nope, dull brain today!
have monkeyed many possibilities
both spellings are in the grid today
google it ruby
only have the original spelling (googled it)
so think of another way to spell the first sound
cool article - love the giant TB sniffing rat
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/06/17/opin ion/17kristof.html
oooo, got it.
morning all.
good morning Peri
my cat pooped in the living room this am :( I do not know what to do. vet did not give me a reason other than she might not be feeling well
oh no Peri
good morning Peri
maybe given her age the steps are too much for her. Can you bring her litter box upstairs
my sister is being very nice about it but I am not sure how long this can last. will talk with the vet again today or tomorrow
she uses the steps to come up to my bedroom just fine
I tried, too, mom, and only got the original spelling (and lost babble)
and she goes down to the basement to pee thank goodness
Ruby .... double vowel
instead of the U
love the article, kje!
rest of the letters are the same, Ruby
hi periwinkle
Back from running errands, got the car washed whilst I was shopping at the supermarket and then put £30 of petrol in the car and that only fills the tank half way :(
I give up on the boat
hey FM, welcome home and welcome back. Yes, petrol is very expensive.
cool stuff in there, sprite
hi FM, sounds like a productive morning!
sprite - do you guys have mothers day and fathers day
Hi FMitch
nearly £2 a litre now.
Hi spritey sprite an dMom and ruby and kje et al.
lol fm,you should talk with some of the whiners i get at 90 cents per lit lol
(((FM)))
wow - thats a lot!
Hello everyone
hi lynxx!
gas here is $2.75 a gallon
ruby = oo6 - oo + do re ** + the first two letters of my name in reverse
Hey (((crossy))) 90c a ltr! heaven!
yeah we do. 2nd sunday in may (mother's) and 3rd sunday in june (father's). Quite a media spectacle nowadays. But we stick to selfmade presents from the kids and a nice breakfast. Hugs and kisses are doled out every day, so nothing special there ;)
{{Lynxxx}} hello
the american almost get it for free lool!
hi lyn, hi crossy
its $2.85/gal here
so,70 cents per lit for nono..nice
I paid $2.68 per gal yesterday and it cost me over $26.00 to fill it up
sweet
very nice Nono, we are jealous too. %1.30 per litre here
Tuesday I went by the station it was 2.59/gal. went back passed it 4 hrs. later and it was $.275/gal
Gah - why is our soooo expensive *winge winge* LOL
around 2.78 euro a liter here
very nice prices indeed
poor euros;(((
at least you don't have it coming in on the tide
nothing nice about any of those prices Crossy!
we drive on gas. Very happy about that.
we would kill for 60-70 cents a litre
very true lynxxx
as fm would kill for our 90 i suppose
and you don't have very far to drive in England or Holland either
the grass is always greener crossy :)
true, nothing compared to your distances!
here you have to drive an hour to buy a can of beans lol
As a kid I used to pump gas at my father's station for 21 cents a gallon. Now that was cheap!
we've learned to be very conservative about trips to the market, etc. I try to plan better
If I dorve for an hour and a half south (excluding the ferry crossing I would be in France :)
we can shop with the bike, it is that close.
so we can wave to eachother across the Canal, FM?
I'll be waiting at the border, FM!
we can indeed spritey. lol ruby, but I have to renew my passport first.
I've just remembered it expired in April.
help with O in upper right corner pls
must be interesting living in an area where you can go through many countries in the space of an hour or 2
darn mine has been expired for over a year now. I better get it settled too!
oo6 peri its the alternate spelling of an alaskan boat
It is crossy as you see so many changes of scenery, language and culture.
I will never find that one, NoNo, but thanks, will go to morewords in a bit
probably as interesting as being in an ar4 where you can go through a couple of states that fast, crossy
here i have to drive 6 hours just to get to the next province..hehe
help with u pls
we originally moved here because it is only 5 hrs to Austria, but now we don't ski any more
and before the Euro came along, so many different currencies too.
the euro stinks
but not in Texas, because you can drive all day and still be there!
Peri, when you find the inuit boat, just change the first letter from the U to a double vowel
about 7 hours will put me in your lovely country Crossy
at least now you do not have to carry 6 different currencies when you go for a drive
just monkeyed a um5!!1 good monkeys
aha, got the oo word too, ty
wtg peri
ya for peri's monkeys
that was part of the fun of holidays, crossy
i in the middle pls for nbt
is today's theme inuit boats?
sdhould I go for a walk before it gets too hot, not feeling very motivated
7 hours (ish) would put me in Bordeaux
fridge magnets, rubyfoo.
ty peri, got the um5!
saw Animal Kingdom, new Aussie film tonight. Won Sundance award. If it comes your way see it as it is very very good
Big phantom career caterer.

Hi Kaplan
mmm, good wine!
ok, going for a walk, bbl
hi kaplan
bye Peri
Fridge magnets ..... here is mine: Money doesn't buy happiness, but it sure keeps the kids in touch
enjoy peri.
bye Peri
Yeh, hi. Just in for a quick one.
lol Mom
we love our size ,but it is a pain sometimes,a drive out west is measured in weeks not days:(
hahah mom
lol Mom!
My favorite was: Who are these kids and why are they calling me Mum?
I found it the year the oldest moved out and it has stayed on the fridge all these years
hi Kaplan
oh funny one sprite.
that's funny Sprite
I gave mine to my sister when she could use a bit of humour :)
Good morning, and how's the grid today, folks?
FIREWORKS !!
hi Merk, fun
congrats no no!
there is a t-shirt around here: Teenagers, now I know why animals eat their young.
hi Merk
Congrats Nono!!!
congrats Nono
hi merk
wtg Nanette!!!!!!
hi Merk and FM
Hi merk - it has a few unusual words but not too bad on the whole.
I once saw a T-shirt that pictured a little devil on a fence, saying: God is busy, may I help you?
I passed half, but barely
LOL Mom, that is a great one
lol Sprite
only 40 for me so far
and no 7's or 8's. sigh
Glad to say I have put this grid behind me but then again I was up and kicking before the flip.
I have many bt's, mostly vowels!
oooh, found the needle care
gratz FM :)
cse*
7's, 8's? raofl!
tough grid. i dont have 7s or 8s either.
sh**, case and to the pb for me for the ca word I used
giggle, that is sad, going to the PB because of a typo!
congrat FMitch
lol poor Mom!
sulk, sulk, sulk
*hugs Mom*
thank you Sprite, hugs back
Belated congrats ... I was reading the fridge magnets ... hilarious! Have you more?
the other one I gave to my sister said: Would you like to speak with the man in charge or the woman who knows what's happening?
Hi
The only other one I have Merk, is Money is the root of all evil, women need roots
k word clues please.
There is a really nice mo8/58 which starts with the mo4/6 (in French a la mo**)
{{Herin}} hello
ROFL sprite now that one is great!
hiya lady! I tried the beer treatment for the slugs and they died a very happy death. Good one!
Hi again herin.
what a lovely clue, FM, thank you
off to look for the mo word, have the mo 4
FM, I offer a cryptic clue: the speed in which the fashion changes ;)
but then, what do you do with the (eeew) dead ones?
got it, thank you
Hey. Sprite it is an Aussie thing. Buy the cheepest beer and they die happy then teh lizards get a happy out of them
Hello again. Mom
oh that is a good one sprite
flush them through the toilet
hahah herin
it works like a charm, lady
The birds will eat the slugs
and you pick them up, how?
they die in the bowl with beer.
favorite word: do6/24
They will be happy too. Beer really affects them as they are little. i think when bigger animals they get a buzz. We had possums that used to get totally wobbly off your feet drunk on rotten nectarines
I'll tell you how I would pick them up ..... ""Oh Sweetie""
LOL
reminds me of a funny holiday letter I once re4. Somewhere it said: "I am sorry to tell you your uncle Anton passed away. He drowned in a bottle of beer. We did try to save him but he fought back valiantly."
how bout a clue for some u words? i have un 6. thats all.
The other 8 is pt of the un7/36
lol Mom
my "sweetie" is more grossed out than I am. Whenever there is a dead or injured or trapped thing, guess who has to do the rescue/disposal? But I can't touch slugs
Oh dear laughing too much ere!
un6: (cryptic clue) a lonely pea house
thank you Sprite
un7 = un + bishops hat or as Doug clued much earlier sprite - standing on 1 leg - which amused me muchly.
hehehe good one!
My friend had to humanly put down a mouse at her work and the farm lads at her work jumped about like big girls afraid of the mouse
Soory I would have put a ful stop and a paragraph i nthat last post.
the pea house is what i have already. ty. but the 7 i dont get. sorry.
DH is afraid of mice, too
we followed you fine, FM :)
and now I can't type (again) thank heavens Haz is not around.
Were is Haz I have Mr George on TV
ty for the bishop's hat and all the subsequent combinations!
un + do re ** + big plant with trunk, drop last letter
thank you FMitch, have the 8's now
now now lady, give him back to Haz at once
She is probably out doing some last min training for tomorrow nights walk herin. Either that or cooking Mr Haz some lunch.
some good strong drinks in today's grid
ty got it sprite. great clue
will think of her tomorrow. We did quite a few babble donations, didn't we!
got the un 6, 7 and 8. missing one of them still. any clues?
strong drinks? hmmm
Well i fyou see Haz before I do wish her luck with the walk
I hope Haz made her goal for donations
YEs - she has raised her target amount :) I sent her a good luck card and a chque a while back.
um5/22 inuit boat
she already has, Mom
u & Miss Farrow married Fran* Sinatra
oh good, I make a contribution through her address in her profile.
good clue, lyn!
that works fine, Mom
Mom did I send you my class results?

I give up for now, 79 words and back for more after a lie-down!

congrats SPrite
Congrats Sprite!!

bye Sprite xx
bye bye Sprite
Bye Sprite
I had better scoot off here as well, have a ton of errands to do today. {{Hugs}}to all of you and thanks for the clues
bye Mom, have a good day
bye bye {{Lynxxx}} thank you and pleasant dreams to you
Byeee spritey sprite and Mom
bye bye FMitch
lynxxx, was at an art exhibition yesterday and they had the most beautifly bronze sculputre of a greyhound - thought of Stewy straight away :)
hi all
another clue for the pea house? :-)
morning, all!
I am sure it was lovely, I have a small deco(?) one my daughter picked up on Etsy, all those lovely muscles are good in sculpture
sounds lovely, lynxxx :-)
It was so elegant and linear :) Morning Une and jmc
hi Une...almost your nickname and what peas are in
un + what a lot of people use to listen to music on.
oohhh, thanks!!!
gah! what an easy clue FM!
:-D
:)
ty FM
I don't have one but it did stand out as a good clue possibility.
is that a trumpet vine FM?
Their ads have obviously stuck in my brain.
coffee . . . back in a mo . . .
hi jmc
hi lynxxx *waves*
No jmc, roses and so many of them, that pic is just a small corner of the whole thing.
oh i see they look lovely do they smell too?
unfortunately not.
Of the 5 rose bushes/ramblers I have in the garden only 2 have scent.
alas that is the problem with all that cross breeding in roses -- so few seem to smell anymore
lol that was exactly what I was going to type.
lol
I have some lovely old roses in my front yard which smell too but I am losing a battle with black spot
Oh can sympathise re black spot, have it here too but not too rampant yet.
I have been using baking soda for years but may have to break down and use toxic chemicals or give up the roses
Thanks Mom. I forget these things. Sorry I was playing with my neighbours boxer
FM I heard you were into machine embroidery and wanted you to see an example of an Australian/Dutch artist here - Annemieke Mein - wonderful to actually see up close. http://www.artistsunite.com.au/index.p hp/gallery/44-annemieke-mein
am just loving having a garden again which is why i am changing my icon every day to show new shots of the garden.
Oooh thanks lynxx - will go and have alook at that link
wow that is impressive lynxxx
I am thinking of upcycling curtains to fix the blind in the kitchen
upcycling?
Recycling
ah
Upcycling is changing a recycling object to make a new one
wow lynxxx, love the 1st one particularly. Great use of colour and technique there.
oh i never knew that -- good word
okay bbl need to get some things done before work
One day I will get some of my embroideries scanned so that you can see them.
I have this gawd awful vinyl roller blind. I am thinking of getting some curtains or something like that from an op shop and using that material
Bye for now jmc.
would like that a lot FM
Buy a white blind herin and some paint and make it your own.
OK the boy wants out and I think I'll then go to bed...bye all!
Nighty night lynxxx, see yo tomorrow.
Work is demanding my attention so back in a bit.
Bye Lynxx.
Fm paint brushes and me are not friends
You could do stencils or I can come over and do a make over :) Gotta poof for now.
good morning all
Hi Boo]

Yes, it just reached out and slapped me in the face. ty
Hi Kje I don't ahve it
hi herin
un7 is un + mi5, herin
... and Fireworks!
cheers
what was teh other 8?
mo8
not too much. not too little
mo 8 is easy
between a conservative and liberal
or could also be to lead a discussion, say
or... what merk said! LOL
Well, thanks for the clues. My coffee will kick in now when I don't need it.
See you tomorrow!
bye merk
bye merk
cheers
That was a lot dense on my behalf

Hi everbody
hi Bob
hi Bob. Don't ahve it

gang robbery in India
Hola, chicas!
Hi Judi
hi Judi
clue for ea 5
Ea5: used your hearing appendages.
ea5 = pt of what you hear with.
ty
Hi Judi and Boo and Kallia and Mr Bob and anyone else that appears in the next 5 mins :)
Hi FMitch
hi FMitch
Hi there, an instersting grid today with a smattering of wild card words!
yes . not finding it too bad yet 42 left though
good going then Kallia :)
FMitch I hear that you do machine embroidery
Isn't it funny that the little words get you the most
I do sometimes esp with sovable (sp) fabric but also do a lot of free hand too and dye and aplique materials then embroider on them.
Good morning/afternoon all.
hi Haz
Afternoon Hazarus!
Haz on the other hand can't sew a button on to save her life :)
I do the dying too...well dye maybe isn't the right word, I alter them...paints mostly or transfer dyes
She sends all her sewing to me and I sne dher all my ironing.
oh I know about that FMitch...guess who told me you embroidered!
right she can have my ironing too!
Hello!
Haz Best wishes tomorrow
oh now you have me Kallia - can't think who that might have been?
really lol
Hi Haz
Thanks, herin, I'm getting excited about it. I have a pink t-shirt and everything....
Our action lad yis here - hope you are doing much stretching and limbering up and eating loads of calories :)
Oh, I have no problem with the calorie consumption.
How long do you think it will take you?
I love the story of the Irish rugby player who was late to a practice. He was told off for being late for the warm-up. His reply was 'Sure, I had the heater on in the car.'
*groan* that is almost as bad as one of BabbleRabbles.
clue for et6 please
I'm reckoning on between 2 and a half to 3 hours. Some headcases did the 10 miles in under 2 hours last year, but that's a bit ambitious with my short legs.
so you set off at 10pm? - don't think I can stay awake to see you cross the finish line but will be dreaming successful thoughts your way.
et6 - et plus the sometimes vowel, then French for my (or start of French mister (***sieur)
ty
and pl it Boo
what's the top right O and what's the middle i ?
any clue for the mi6/36 ?
Yes, first batch goes at 10 and then they'll send us off in batches after that. It'll still be light at that stage but dark by the time we finish. Unless I find a sneaky short cut back again. (Joking, I'll walk every step)
oooo the top righ o is a inuit boat which has been causing probs all day.
mi6/36 - think in terms of GIlbert and Sullivan's Japanese phase.
oh, i have the U version - didn't know you could spell it with double O!
thanks, got it
Oooh. Fireworks!
Yay Judi!
Congratulations Judi! (and thank you!)
ty for that FMitch
Well best wishes Haz
Thanks, herin.
best wishes from me too.
so how bout that middle i ?
i think it should be itty, but it isn't.
Thanks, hurshy, I've been really encouraged by all the support, it's been great.
No, it's im5.
thankee!
if it started with an a it would be an am*** acid
Please don't ask me to clue anything. I wouldn't know how with all these wacky words.
why are the D's so hard today? am i being dstupid?
night all
No the d's are a dang hard doings today.
No, they're just weird, Hurshy.
i need 5 of the D's and only 1 or 2 of all the other tiles
No, the ones at the beginning aren't easy.
Bye herin.
Good night, sleep well.
ooh wait, there's two more D's!
*Poof* until tomorrow!
bringing me to the dreaded 14.
Bye, Judi.
monkeyed a random related D!
is there another way to clue the eskimo floater?
BRB, have a chicken roasting in the oven.
us + alaska abbr
the "us" part is a homonym punny sort of bit
um5/22. u plus a furry creature much prized for its pelt, replace a consonant with a vowel.
Hi, all. Are you looking forward to your walk tomorrow, Haz?
thanks
I am indeed, NB. They even say it will stay dry, so that's a bonus.
... and back - chicken is looking good and golden and smells great.
For once, eh? Well, best of luck with that
Hi NB
It's been good weather all week, I was dreading a deluge, but it looks to be fine. Walking in wellies wouldn't be fun.
We are all going to be thinking of yo uHaz dear and wish you all the best ((()))!
Afternoon, FM :) enjoying the weather? I've been dragging suitcases over the streets of london all day...figured I deserved a break ;)
HAve you fonud somewhere else to stay for now NB?
I know, it's been great to have everyone's support, FM.
oh yes, FM - turns out, a guy I know has been searching for a new flatmate for weeks. I don't know him well, but we always get along like a house on fire...he helped me move today. Should be lots of fun. Thank you!
(and his cat has warmed to me, so it should be a permanent arrangment..)
Oh that is good to hear NB, at least you can settle down for a bit and recharge your batteries and take stock.
yes FM...a great relief. I was glad to get out, as well - there's been lots of arguments the past few days. I'm ready to make a clean break of it now
however, just popped my head in to demonstrate how well my laptop is connecting to the new internet...better get back to unpacking. Have fun!
Byeee
da6/33?
an Indian robber
i don't think that helps... lol
da6/33 - da plus what a boxer looks for (acronym for someone lying on the floor), not he nor she.
sorry
haz tpo clue it
oops need haz to clue, and there she is
thanks :)
Anyone need any clues otherwise I shall head off to the the kitchen and the garden (ignoring work things on the way). .... and pl for the7/56
You're welcome.
rats, no pl and adding a vowel isn't helping.
Sometimes vowel.
add sometime vowel
Y!
I will leave you in able hands hursh. TTFN all.
bye FM!
Toodle-oo FM.
thanks all :)
off to garden for a while now it's got a little cooler
goodluck for the walk Haz
Thanks, Kallia. I'm hiding out inside as well for a while.
i dont get the da 6 clue at all.
da plus a type of fish (*** carp) finish with a consonant.
Or, think of a state that begins with a DA, but change the last two letter.
UN6?
un6 - single legged?
Or un plus up to date listening device
ah, thanks. CS Lewis went with mono- for that so i think of that as the correct prefix ;)
No problem.
State doesn't begin with DA, but it is the second word in two states that have directional beginnings [Bichon pedantically adds]
before they were states they were the DA territory, though!
That'll certainly clear up any confusion for mkg.
hello all! ((hugs)) how's the grid? I deserve a break today!
oh, there's the kettle. back with tea in a few.
Hello, stidmama. It's neither simple or horrendous.
Nor horrendous.
clue for mi 6
oops mi6/36
don't have it Boo
hi, all. I'm stuck on the mi6/36, clues, please?
mi6 - Japanese word for emperor, think of Gilbert and Sullivan operetta using the title.
ty Haz
You're welcome.
who are gilbert and sullivan
They wrote things like the Pirates of Penzance, The Gondoliers, etc.
Gasp, Haz....my mouth is hanging open...
ty, haz, that helped!
You're welcome.
They were Victorian, extremely popular, very funny with lovely music.
Hello Erda.
Hello Haz!!!
back. tea, dressed and one garbage can up from the road (the big one hasn't been picked up yet, it's recycling day)
I like not horrendous. Yesterday's was a tad challenging.
In other words, you're clothed and in your right mind, stid.
ta da! firbirds!
Well done, lbd!
ty for all the clues especially the m's and d's!
You're welcome, not a few uncommon words today.
hey LBD. I sent off the letters just before midnight. I was VERY stern. And tougher than originally.
YAY LBD, btw!
hello everyone! It really isn't a nasty monster of a grid today! little over an hour to finish, stid. so you'll be done in no time!
good for you, Stid! You gotta be the power broker for stidkid!
that's not bad. stidkid has his last class with that particular teacher today, and then I believe we have the ball rolling for him to have a much better experience next year
oh, and I cited chapters, but not verses -- federal and state statute and state rules... hope that will be scary enough. AND I included the principal this time. Documenting that we started with the teacher and then "worked up"
good for you! the Principal, hopefully will get it all sorted out and on the right path!
*proud mama look* it may be a tad late, but it is coming. AND hopefully this will set him up to access services post-secondary as well.
No problem with post-secondary services. Anyone with documented disabilities are protected by ADA, and all the assistance needed. No ands ifs or buts about what should be done.
Slipping out - have a good day!
so this summer I will work with him, take my classes, get my office ready for me to work in it next year, get the yard whipped into shape AND get my kids ready for the new school year. I think I can handle it...
Often times, more services are given than are necessary at post secondary level
later Haz! ((hugs)) have a lovely day!
hagd Haz!
the only problem we may have LBD is that he is so reluctant often to "stand out" but as he gets a little older that may change.
This is what i did for the last 30 years at the post-secondary level, so don't be afraid to ask for help! Reticence will get him little, but as his advocate you can walk in the Disability Services office with him and get the ball rolling.
(((LBD))) thanks.
this wheel is determined to squeak until the race is over...
good for you. I always appreciated the parents that walked their kids into my office. Of course I often told them that "now you student is an adult and I must direct all my concerns to him. You are welcome to sit in with us and help prompt him/her as you need, but it is HIS/HER education."
hope your sister is okay? I noticed you mentioned suitcases -- and since I don't like to travel...
Yes, and legally we don't have a lot of say once he turns 18. But until then... *stern mama look* they DO have to deal with me!
BigSis is hanging in there. Shooshoo just got home and is getting back into her own routine.
good. *nods head approvingly* routines are good to have.
yeah, we skyped for 2 hours last night! lots of little things we need to get squared away and to also help Bigsis get things organized.
Just popping in for a mo to say hi to dawg & stid!
((((hugs))))))
that's a LOT of talk! I bet BigSis is happy for all the help.
Lindy!!
LINDY!!! *bounce bounce* you're here!!!!
clue for the last mu4
how are you both?
It's been forever, Lindy!! how's jolly ol' UK?
it's very nice & warm & sunny
isn't that the unpurebred dog?
I am well Lindy, almost over a sinus infection and summer stretches ahead...
well I'm gonna take my glass of wine and sit out in the garden, so I will bid you farewell for now
it's rainy and coolish here. Stid keeps sending Washington's weather to me.
how about yourself? Since I can't be on facebook (blocked at home) I am WAY behind on all the goings-on of friends
aawww poor dawg!
wine? WINE??? at this hour? *envious look*
I'm very good thanks

oh no! sorry nan -- used to so much coming out of the Frazier river valley! *runs to check weather map*
looks like it is coming down the coast (from Alaska and Yukon) and then up the sound and into your neck of the woods, nan
coming straight up the Okanagan Valley from Wenatchee
who's the cutie pie in your icon, nan?
(okanogon in the US)
okanogan... yes. are you on that side of the mountains?
that's our new granddaughter, Frankie -- arrived on June 10
yes, in Kelowna, BC
wonderful news, nan! hadn't heard! hope she and the parents are doing well.
very well -- not sure if our son has come down to earth yet, though -- she is their first child and our 7th granddaughter
I haven't been through Kelowna in more than 25 years. BUT as I recall, it was lovely country. That was the trip my family took through Montana and Alberta, finishing up with Lake Louise and Vancouver.
It is lovely when the sun shines -- something we haven't seen too much of yet this summer
any clues out there for the first da 6/24?
oh, their first? that is excellent -- exhausting, but so nice. I think the daddies have it slightly easier... LOL 7 granddaughters? gee.

semi-hint at 11:29 from me mixi: one + leg/foot; latin
A rambler - and there are soooo many bloom but no scent.
well I love it. I have a rambler that I rescued from my parents' house that is languishing somewhere in the garden (if the slugs and deer haven't eaten it up yet).
stuck on that no 5
it's a very light pink -- fades to white, single and probably very old. It came with their house when they bought it more than 40 years ago
but the bees adore the flowers - evertime I go out doors you can hear the bees in hi pitched puzz mode - makes me think of Winnie the Pooh every time :)
ty stidmama.

Congrats mixi
*buzz not puzz (of course).
YAY mixi!!!
I wish you had hummingbirds, FM. ours are all over the digitalis (foxglove) and lupines right now.
OH now that would really be somehting stiddy!
nothing quite so exoic over here.
I love the hummers... and they are so funny. They keep asking for their feeder -- that hasn't been up since 2008! such great memories...
andI think it was Une who was saying she had firefiles in her yard last night - again nothing like that over here.
fireflies are delightful -- we don't have them this side of the Rocky Mountains, but I remember them well from the years we lived in Virginia
I saw a fire fly last night, too.
Typing has gone to pot and i must be off too for dinner. Good to see you stiddy dear.
((FM)) have a fine evening. See you again soon.

*that was the da 6/33 -- add sometimes vowel for the 7

good :)
ok, back in a mo -- must feed pups *poof*
on my way as well -- back at the flip :)
hello, is anybody still here?
I'm here ruby
Im here too for a little while.
hello bichon and FM
I'm here in the beautiful Bay Area of San Francisco eating up this great weather
Hi ruby, hows the garden going?
lovely bichon!
it turned lovely here, too, after a big storm last night and rain for two days, but it's still pretty cool
I've been to SF quite a few times.
lots of raspberries and red currants ready to be picked when I have the energy
It's so nice the breathe pollen free, humidity less air
ohh yum ruby!
otherwise, besides wonderful roses and peonies, it is the battle of the weeds!
I have never seen pollen anyplace like here, it is yellow-green, thick and lasts for months. Fortunately, I'm not allergic
the roses are beautiful here, but they don't get a second and third bloom like we do in the Northeast
that is another part of my gardening work, deadheading ugh!
You are very lucky then ruby.
My first task when I get home next week is to clean the windows and screen of the yellow-green plague
I used to have "rose fever" in spring when I lived in the NE US, but here, no problem
Based on what you two have said I count myself lucky then.
what, you don't like pollen? all the bees are smiling!
Rose fever just refers to the time of year More likely it's tree pollen
There's no pollen in Britain, FMithch
yes, I'm sure you're right, bichon
it is grass pollen time here now - tree pollen was back in Apri/May time.
the most pollen seems to come from the conifers, big and little
do you have lilies FM? That is what is missing from this garden!
The first few years I had foxgloves, delphium and lupines, but they've all disappeared
bichon i beg to differ I sneezed and had streaming eyes for almost 2 months in the spring.
No, no lillies sorry to say.
I had a problem with the lupines? They disappeared. But my delphinium and foxgloves haven't been a problem. The foxglove reseeds and is a biannual. The delphinium justs sends up new shoots
Mum has a wonderful show of lilies and nerrines
maybe I should try again as delphinium is one of my most faves. We also had loosestrife which even spread to the fishpond, but that, too, disappeared
I love different kinds of lillies. My Japanese are my favorite. After that the Asiatic. The Oriental seem to have died out, but I love their aroma
I don't know nerrines
Oh they are the most delicate beutiful lilly like plants
the soil here is very poor and acidic, so maybe that's why some things have disappeared. At least the roses and peonies and cranesbill geranium are really hardy.
Mums are a shocking pink colour
Do they need a frost-free winter FMith?
We have similar soil Ruby [in CT] Very acidic and heavy
I think we are about the same zone as Maryland -> CT
I have the cranesbill geraniums too.
No Mum covers them up with a bit of blanket if the winter is going to be harsh and the bulbs just multiply into a huge bed of flowers.
here it's acidic and rocky. We're on a hillside that used to have vineyards before it became residential
Well, Maryland has frost, but not as hard as here
reading back here this year the pollen is so thick,we scrape it off the car windows each morning
hello crossy
Ths was the year of monster pollen
howdy ruby et al;))
is everybody going to watch France get beaten by Mexico tonight?
lol crossy - I had my car cleaned today and it has gone back to being a green coloured car rather thana a yellow and poopy colored one.
I am thinking that the Germans will take it all although I was rooting for Spain until I watched them play!
lol,same all over i guess
No ruby - you can watch the match on my behalf - but what about Spain and Switzerland, who would have thought of that result?
It seems like the favorites are having troule this year
wish i could get into soccer, maybe if we gave them all hockey sticks as well to swing around lol
amazing! Spain's performance was lackluster, at best
it really irritates my husband that I like it so much! And when the Tour starts in July and the two events overlap, he'll go crazy!
and i mean ice hockey sticks, not that euro ladies lawn hockey;))
lol ruby, here the women go crazy as the men are glued to the tv from nov to may
40 weeks of the year I have to concentrate on football (clients) and now when it is down time all there is - is flipping football.
I used to live i n NY state where we had a 3rd tier professional hockey team and everybody went to the games (small town) because the winter was so long and miserable
poor FM!!!
Hi Ruby
hello boo
*le sigh*
I have 87 words and don't think I'll find any more...
hahah FM
It is a bit of a tricksy one today ruby.

I use 30 or 45, btu for swimming, I tend to just go with the 15. but for sunbathing, which I dont do, I should have had like SPF 200000, or errr clothing.

M9 - You have an Irish Mammy?
her parents both were... so yeah, although she never lived there.
but boy did she look it. she had salt and pepper hair by the time I can remember .. and photos before that were b&w. But I hear she had the most copper red hair ever.
she had a car accident once..and I had to help her take a bath. little freckles on every INCH of her...and red body hair.
Sure, doesn't everybody have Irish ancestors? Kennedy, Bush, Obama..... Its a badge of honour!!
i'm part irish too
irish or scottish
my grandfather was irish
M9...too much information!!

M9 - any idea what part of the country she came from?
her parents?? I'm not really sure... a Catholic part.LOL
I'm trying to remember where the Griffith part of her family came from.. I think that goes to Fishguard Wales.

oh look a diver!
LOL
a diver?!? where are you?
lol i was imitating a goldfish
lol
you were?? uh... why?
2 second attention span
oh. I've never thought of goldfish as representatives of the short attention span crowd..but I guess that makes sense! Although it seems to me they usually are just sitting there looking at SOMEthing for a long time!LOL
it's the diver lol
shocks them every time
LOL
You're in scotland! I'll have to tell my son. He's really into singing "oh flower of scotland"
evening, all :) goldfish impersonations aside, how is everyone?
heya NB!!! what you doing up so late?
NB!!! I'm in the blahdroms.. but how are YOU!??
smiles
hey I just read the quote on your profile.. everying is reminding me of my boy at the moment.. that's his personal motto
I'm alright, thanks :) I'm up so late because I'm too excited to sleep, actually - moved out today and this new place is really cool. And has two totally adorable kitties!
lol i put that there when i was living in london
you found a place!!! awsome!!
the house came with kitties?
too excited to sleep, eh?? sheesh..you'll find any excuse to be sleep deprived... LOL
so I take it you have roomies?
is it bigger? brighter? nearer to the social life?
ha ha.. no I meant the quote on NB's profile!.. that would be a funny motto for my boy!
i did think it odd that mine would remind you of your boy LOL
oh yes, I'm sharing with a friend of Leo's/acquaintance of mine - we've always got on very well and he's been looking for a flatmate for quite a while. hence the kitties ;)
when he sings "flower of scotland" it's in a deep, manly voice!!LOL
is leo with you?
hi all
will that be wierd that he's Leo's friend?
best kind of voice to sing it in, with heart and gusto, not like a funeral dirge
hi barb
heta barb
oh noooo Jac, definitely not. we've been fighting so much, I didn't even tell him where I was going.
oh, i'm so sorry NB
So sorry to hear that NB. Glad you found a place to live tho
constant fighting is awful, so soul destroying
I did wonder, M9, but he's got a bit of a soft spot for me, and doesn't exactly approve of Leo's cheating on me. So, I'm really excited...this is gonna be fun ;)
He says Alestorm's version is the best he's heard (on youtube)
well at least I can stay he started it, Jac ;) and thank you, Wild!
he cheated??? (((huge hugs for NB)))
well... do you think he 'likes' you?? Because you should not be entering into anything new right now!
he doesn't deserve you
oh dear Jac, where have you been? ;) yeah, I was pretty upset, but...he's been such a gigantic git these past few days, he's actually made it very easy for me to leave.
i have to agree with m9, give yourself time
i have been busy with life and docs etc
(((nb)))) just cause you can never have enough hugs :)
I agree ((((nb))))
ah heck {{{{everybody}}}
thanks, all ;) and no, nothing like that - we just get on very well
awwwwww group hugs ((((( everybody))))
ok((((everyone))))
friendship is always a good place to start, the guy i'm with now has been my friend for over 10 years
wonderful jac
ok. that's great NB! You need to spend some time just taking care of NB! Glad you have kitties to hang with!
jac! this is not about starting a new relationship!LOL (at least not now)
lol i know, but....
never say never
oh... that's right. encourage him why don't ya? NB.. plug your ears and sing "la la la la la
well he's pretty cute ;) but, you're right, it's not about starting a new relationship!
animals are wonderful...they always know when you need cheering up...and then when you are like me and have a ton....you get smothered LOL
hmmm.. I don't think I'd enjoy being smothered by horses..
LOL M9. I've had nightmares like that ;)
lol
EEK!
mikado
yeah that could be painful
my FIL was rolled between two horses. Not healthy
ooops sorry
jaq...
goes back to pb
That's the only show I've ever been in. what great fun.
thanks jaq I didn't have that one ;)
LOL
(and thanks!)
naw it is my dogs and my cats that smother me
that was actually exactly the one I was looking for!
oh, you've performed it, M(?
er....M9 that is.
yes. just chorus.. but small cast
18 shows..
good for you! I would never have the courage...school plays were bad enough. I made my debut as Macbeth...I'm not manly enough for that...Mincing Macbeth, more like..
NANCY BOY!!!! ((((hugs)))) how are you doing? I have been thinking about you SO MUCH! *worried sick mama look*
at this theater: http://www.pentacletheatre.org/
oh I always think of macbeth as kind of a poofster!
blimey, Stid! :) ((((hugs)))) I'm fine, thanks. Got a place to stay so I'm better than fine ;) packed up and jumped ship today! bless you for thinking of me :)
LOL M9, well the same goes for my school now, as well ;)
my high school was so small.. we didn't have plays and musicals.. except for one little one that students wrote about the iliad.. I played the piano for that. And I'm not a good pianist!!LOL
GOOD. I am happy you have a place to stay. Hope this is a nice person?
did leo know you were leaving? and has he tried to get hold of you since you left?
hello m.
I give .. need top right O for NBT please
hello jac!
but I LOVE to sing!
hey stid!
heya mama!!
*waves at barb in the background*
oh yes, Stid, he's lovely. Turns out he's been looking for a flatmate for quite a while, ever since his old one got married...and he has two ADORABLE kitties ;)
it's an oo6
Hi stid...sorry trying to figure out the mo8 word
we have a promotion ceremony to get to pretty soon... one of the boys is changing schools over the summer! *proud mama look* so only here a few minutes.
not sure how to clue it though
the mo 8 is neither too much nor too little, barb
well if he has ADORABLE kitties then I must approve I suppose!
well Jac, we've argued so much this week, and there was a very unpleasant incident last night (I won't get into it here - NSFW!) so I just left a note saying I'd moved out. simple!
Barb... go to a mo******r if you need help with an argument.
k ty
best way NB, especially if he's being a kn*b
they are called Drake and Ginge ;) and lol Jac, yes he IS being a kn*b!
oohhh... new slang! love the international chats!
okay brain not working not getting either of those clues and I am sure they are great clues...think think think
*thiking I am glad I don't know that particular piece of slang...*
so one of the cats is orange!
LOL
I think it's kind of like a stick shift..
LOL!
LOL kinda
Well, one word that the 'Mercans don't seem to have is w*nker...is this true?!
mo hello mud*** hello fadder, I can't believe I *** the whole thing!"
LOL he's being that too
it was in the grid a couple days ago...but didn't work...
i tried it too then m9 lol
we don't use it much..but I certainly know it
several times
oh yes, I did try ;) though tosser works. interesting!
me too!!
is that slang too?
don't know that one
yes same as w*nker
hmm... sounds more like puking..
like toss one's cookies.
true
sorry, I should have bleeped it out...
ohhh dear. No, used quite differently here. Not to be confused...;)
finally got the mo...so should have got that from those clues..
Barb... did the last clue help?
thanks for the help
doesn't bother me at all to see it not bleeped out as it has no connotations for me.
think I missed it...but finally going back and forth I got it
ok.. that mi4/7 seems like a trumped up word to me..
like "lite" foods.
missing a K
which one?
not sure
ka5/18, ka6/30, ka4/8, ki4/8, ki4/8
NM
gems, fighting, kid racing vehicle, don't know..but sounds like a lottery game, relatives
hello, does nay one know of a pet communicator?
missing a couple of Us
like purring??
i'm missing two k's ka5/18 and ki4/8
what is a pet communicator?
like Ace Ventura? ;)
look at my list at 6:37 and tell which one?
No sorry peri but if you find one let me know I could use one too
ka5 is a vowel short of the ka6
ka5 is the same as the ka6 minus the last letter
sorry all, I completely faded out. going to get dressed for the event, and back LATE. Nancy Boy, glad you have a place to stay. Take good care of yourself. (((((hugs)))))) *Poof*
bye mama, have fun
there is one in Texas and one somewhere else. I found them thru Google. wanted someone local
oh of course silly me
ki 4/8, sounds like a lotter game, and the other is relatives
what's up peri ? why do you need one?
thank you, Stid! you as well :)
oh...like the dog whisperer.
hey there NB you doing ok. just saw stidmama's message about you finding a place to stay
my cat is pooping throughout the house and not in the litter box :(
thought I tried the lottery one before and it said not there...I hate when it does that
sounds like stress or illness peri, has anything changed?
I think sometimes I just type too fast..and think I tried something..but didn't get it in there.
is it mad at you for something? another animal in the house...you have been gone too much? maybe it isn't well and it is trying to tell you so? any of those ideas help?
is the litter box getting cleaned out enough?
no. took her to the vet last week and he told me she has a UTI. I knew that. and she wont take the meds. wonder if something else is going on that wouold cause this behavior
one of mine keeps throwing up after it eats about every other day...happens again we are off to the vet
I scoope out the box 2-3 times a day and then wash iit out once a month.
maybe the infection is making it difficult to get over the rim..
I cannot type tonight
could be m9
if her underside is tender..
try a ramp?
could it be that the urine is stronger because of the uti and it's putting the cat off? try cleaning it every day
if she has meds try mixing it with tuna juice...I know we are suppose to give cats real tuna and stuff but it really helped when one of mine was sick....it even came and asked for its meds
it does not appear to be tender
she pees in the box
oh!..diarrhea?? meds sometimes do that
it is a she yes? cause males have alot of pain usually with a uti and can block...where females are just uncomfortable
thre is another cat in the house but he was here when we moved in last June and this behavior started about two weeks ago
my cat is female, Zoe-Anne
then it can't be because of the other cat or at least I doubt it or it would have happened right away
no diarrhea here, thank goodness
did it start about the same time you started playing babble???
I need some Us please
tinned unsweeten pumpkin is great for diarrhea in animals
no my babble anniv. is tomorrow 6 years!!
the non form of the mi's
wow. 6 years!
un, me, and peas in a ***
or yogurt helps too when their is antibiotics involved
ty
are the meds liquid or pills?
only 44 to go. I tried to go unlisted too long yesterday...sigh.
ty m9, i had one of those but not the past tense one lol
Peri???
yw jac@!
pills and I crush them up. she can smell them. sometimes I can get her to eat 1/4 or 1/2 of a crushed pill in her food and sometimes not
I know it is more money but can the vet give you liquid instead...then try the tuna water
but I can't have not eating so I did not try to give any meds today
or put some of the tuna water on the food to stink it up more
don't know if it comes liquid, I could mix in in water and then try a syringe. had a syringe but threw it away
pets respond very well to homeopathy.. I'd try that!
she loves tuna and shrimp cat food, it is very strong
do you know how to give the pills by mouth...pushing it down the side of the mouth and into the throat
ah, homeopathy, maybe, that is a thought
no cannot give pills by mouth and she is 14 too old
tuna can be a problem for some cats and can actually cause the uti's....
look up uti's at abchomeopathy.com
can tuna cat food cause that problem as well
will do m9, bbs
I would call your vet and let them know the trouble you are having getting the meds in...see if you can get a liquid form...it is much easier when they just like it up
ok, thaks for all the advice, bbs
yes canned tuna of any kind is usually high in ash and magnesium...this causes crystals in the urine causing a uti
welcome peri I hope it all works out
I did not know that! that tuna is high in uric acid!
I was just googling it.
it doesn't seem to effect us so much but plays H*ll with cats
I lost several male cats to it years back ..then learned from a smart vet that it was the tuna causing the problem
now most vets know all about crystals and things and how they are caused
actually can't imagine a vet not knowing today if I think about it
fireflies
yeah wildcat
oh gosh it is that time of day again when I have to figure out dinner
brb dog wants its dinner
dinner!
good idea to think about that......
hi all
hey boo!
clue for un6/27
only one foot boo!
one foot
yup. an oyster is one
not like a camera stand which is a three foot
I have no idea
I've got two feet...so I'm an anthro***
a tri*** is a camera stand
no. that's not right
I'm a bi***???
different vowel i think
back fed dogs and cats that were in...the a fight broke out outside and my orange cat has just had it's but kicked by another cat...and he is hiding now...geesh
un*form, ***iatrist.. (foot doctor)
there is hair everywhere
ty
oh those kitties! hope they're ok.
well I would say mine isn't but can't find him now...or he is off sulking that he lost the fight
guess I will find out when he comes home
you think he would learn to leave the neighbours cat alone...not to mention the racoons...he lost a chuck out of his nose in the fall
our dog keeps getting skunked....
my hand smells like it right now from trying to wash him..
ooo I think that is worse than the cat fights for sure
last night we were gagging
i bet m9
and it seems that it just doesn't lessen that much even when you do wash them
rolling on rotten fish is another stinky mess...as bad skunk..worse if that is possible
crappy typing on my part
oh yes.. they do love to roll on stinky!

first available
so..he has to lay low til then?!?!??
so my sons baseball team had a game tonight - husband went and dropped him off so he could sit on bench and cheer on his team. I started supper and then went to watch game - there is my son warming up a new pitcher, chasing balls, etc, etc.... ugh - it is going to be so hard to keep him down the next 3 weeks
absolutely no physical activity - yah right!
did you clue in the coach?? coach should have put a stop to that
oh he knows but not much he can do when he is coaching his team - especially when third base coach - its not up to him - husband should not have left him to his own choices - he is a 13 year old active boy
pshaw! If someone told me a kid on my team was not allowed to do anything physical and I saw him up and active... I'd tell him I'd banish him from the field unless he sat down!
I talked to the coach after the game - he saw him and almost choked but he was too far away to do anything about it until he came off the base - by then I had already yelled to stop
yike, that's the first available. I'd be an obnoxious Mom
hmmm... well....ok..
well coach told Keith tonight that he will make him a third base coach if he want to do it for the rest of the season
I think a kid's prob like that would preempt coaching the base at that moment..
ka 5/6?
it keeps him in the game and doing nothingphysically but standing there
Measure of diamonds
that's a good idea
ty wht
u13 baberuth is serious baseball - I do NOT expect the coach to babysit my son if I choose to bring him there
its my husband that should be spanked
we cant leave him and expect him to sit still

Would anyone ca4/5 to read a story of clues? Here it is.I did something this ye4/6 I thought I would never do. I didn't ca 4/5 for my hair style so on one su5/16 day I got a hair cut. At first I didn't da4/5 to cut my hair.It had taken me so long to grow it out. However in the end I da4/5ed to the local salon before I could change my mind.I went to the salon in my ar4/4. As I was waiting at the salon,I re4/5 a magazine & found a picture of a hairstyle that I wanted to have.I did a nu 5/16 & spontaneous thing. I got 18 inches of hair sn4/5ed off. It is very ra 4/4 of me to do something so spontaneous like that. I was on pi4/5 and needles at the salon as they were chopping off my hair. Then my eyes te5/12 up & I started shedding te4/4 in the salon because I regretted what I'd done.I hated it! I wanted to retr 5/12 my steps from before as if I had never gone to the salon. I ra4/5ed home to show my husband. My de 4/5 husband loved the new look. He stated that he would ra4/4 my haircut a 10 and that it su4/5ed me very well. Now my hair no longer looks so ra5/14.People ask if I feel like a different person. I say that I'm the same person mi 5/14 all the hair. I am still not sure if I like my new look. But it's a mu4/6 point because it's already done. Maybe I will grow it out and then I can re 4/5 my hair again. I wish that I could be atr6/21 and tr5/12 my hair in for Jennifer Lopez's hair. I'm going to get off my re4/4 to let dog out.Husband wants the computer, but I do not give a do4/5, he is not getting it. the first three da's start the same. da ** as corny as kansas in august
Mel - the word you seek ir ripped or crying but past tense.
Meliae: British drink a whole lot of it+Cardinal color
it was the last 6/21 not the first one and I got it from Mins, clue thank you though
my oops
Think of a stone that is a girl'ls best friend (M Munroe) but move letters around in first part and forget the following 'd'.
that's done with the Ds. 11 left to find. Celtics blowing the game.

Glad you got it. My Beloved gaave me 3 di7's in a ring for my birthday. Hadn't seen my Mum's engagement ring since I was a small child, but saw it last week now she's had it made bigger and it was virtually the same as the ring I saw in a shop and told Belovedf 'it spoke to me' before he bought it.
Hello.
Hi Herin.
hi JQD
un clues? any of them?
and ~Firewords~ what an onery little grid!
that was Hi Jac
The peas might say this if they were all in one place - un6/27.
thx jac
un+ sing toe un+ a mi*** box is used to cut boards, and past tense
single toe* sorry
Un7/36 is what a carpenter might do to undo a perfect corner joint. Or maybe a bishop would have his had knocked off?
Hi Everyone. Yah Melia
un8/55 would illustrate both in the past tense.
ae6?
thx for the other un
HaT* for the bishop, not had.
to add water to soil perhaps?
That ae 6/16 word is ae plus that ra 4/4 word Minski
nm got it. to poke holes in your lawn
Hi herinfernallady! How are you? Welcome to the grid
ae6 - to add air to. You might rake your lawn up to do this.
Congratulations meliae on your fireworks! Way to go
!!!!!FIREWORKS!!!!!
yay min! wtg
Yah Minski.
Hi MIni
Damn it Celtics! Get it together!
Hi Jac!
my dad was a die hard Lakers fan, so I'm torn...we generally are Boston fans
This grid is a pain
so I'm babbling and avoiding the game lol
Congratulations Minski on your fireworks! Way to go
Jilly how is that working for you?
I should go to bed! We've got a gas boiler engineer arriving 'sometime between 815am - 12'. I'mnot the onoy person in the house, but I'll bet I'm the only one who still around who will get up and answer the doorbell. Lack of hot water doesn't bother me, might bother others more.
This grid comes and goes, I'm hot then I'm cold...
oo?
Inuit boat, Shir.
oo sounds like an eskimo word
Jac that sounds like a pain
alt spelling, got it, what would i do without you guys and google?
oo6/33 is a large eskimo boat,usually spelled with a U
um5/22 andoo6/33 - both same word.
Shirlock Morewords is my friend
Herin - a pain? You're not kidding!
oo + 1st 2 letters of my name + eskimoish ending
At least it is Summer for you guys hot waterless isn't too bad
Google,Lickety, Reverse Dictionary and of course all cluers are my friends (sometimes maybe my monkeys)
more words is where it's at!
The sensor that has died in the boielr only affects the hot water. So, not the shower, which is electric.
Has anyone seen Pini tonight?
I use A2Z wordfinder
I've no doubt the sensor for the heating will fail in the coldest spell with have next Winter.
*we not with
Jac may be time to think about overhaul now
The Celtics forgot that they have to play the 4th quarter as well as all the others.
Jac I am just saying that my b.fs work is insanely busy with people needing heating because they didn't think ahead this winter.
couldn't stand it, game on...it'll really mess up my ability to babble...
Gotta go watch the end of this painful game. Will be back to report the results for those of you who care.
May I please have a clue for um5-22? Thanks
Same as the OO 6
Don't have oo6, thanks anyway, herin.
It is an Eskimo boat
Thanks, herin.
If you OO it that is the OO
Herin - we already did the overhaul which left us with a compter chip boile rather than a mechanical boiler.
Ok
That is not a prospect that brings us peace of mind.
Jac I didn't know that I was just saying with the insanity the B.f Has at his work at the moment best to think ahead
