Will someone define troll, as it applies to the chat
hello Christine -- a troll is someone who come here just to be a nuisance, often using obscenities or just holding down a key to disrupt the chat, or insults babblers and so on. Why?
fireworks - just in time because visitirs have turned up unexpectedly
YAY anike!!! Have fun!
I saw something yesterday or the day before that mentioned it, and couldn't remember the definition. Thanks, Jillibus.
If you encounter a troll, just ignore it -- do not feed it.

hi lore how are you , enjoying the cold?
Sorry, window cleaner arrived to had to dash off to make him a cup of tea. Hallo again everyone.
hi sally and gran
Why is today the day?
I just read through the "Official Guide" and can't stand all the attention Contador is getting. I hope he is 4th with Vinokurov in 3rd!
how you been and hows Nicky going any op yet
does he use the tea to clean the windows?
lol, ruby. No, I use the tea to sweeten him up.
cancelara (can't spell it) who won the tour de flanders seems nice
Tour de France, Sally, and I've "pulled up the drawbridge" again
nicky has had an op that has lasted for a year so we live in hope lore, thanks for asking
better than Contador, that's for sure. And I like the Schleck brothers and Sastre. Do you think Cadel has a chance, priggish Cadel, that is.
she just sat on her hand and she is in agony (lol) what next?
glad to hear it is she now out of pain
I admire Cadel as an athlete - he is amazing despite his bad temper- he says he will never win as he is the only drug free player (or something like that) I will be hoping that he wins of course
I admire Cadel as an athlete - he is amazing despite his bad temper- he says he will never win as he is the only drug free player (or something like that) I will be hoping that he wins of course
I agree with you but his priggishness drives me a little crazy (and his Howdy Doody face lol)
computer is very slow today

I wish you could see the fish, sally. I think my husband was being a drama queen as we now have about 100 including the old, biggest ones and a crop of new babies. They feel very safe under the net

G'd Morning Babblers! These letters look poopy.
good morning Lori. You would be right there
At first glance, it's an ecclectic assortment. ***sigh***
Good morning everyone. Just doing a quick icon-check...
morning City
*worries about flying monkeys*
There's icon police now?
Mornin' City
*grins at Lori* .. not a job I'd want. Just changed mine, wondering if it would show in the chog.
it was a small one to start with 100x100 pixels. I wonder if anyone asked Dr. G for slightly larger icons in the 'new and improved' site?
Your icon was especially well timed :)
morning Lynxxx, too
hi again

Hello everybody :-)
hi soodle :)
morning Soodle
Don't like the look of this one....
be afraid, be very afraid.....
Nasty housework/nasty grid???? Nasty grid wins!!
the nasty housework might be more satisfying today, soodle... and I say that as a natural despiser of all things involving dishcloths.
good morning
hi Mom!
{{Lynxxx}}
hi Mom
Hi City
Hello (((Mom)))
housework??? hmmm
{{Soodle}} hello
City, I think I will compromise. I will attempt the grid, and spray a bit of furniture polish into the air at regular intervals.

so nice to see you City.
Bye City, and well done Joshua
32 down and already at a brick wall
Its a tough one, struggled from half way.
I wonder if this isn't one of those grids where the "new" rotate button wouldn't come in handy
There are some pretty obscure words in here
Good morning Babble Buddies!
good morning Scrabbler
hi Scrabbs
I have to get ready for work in 10 minutes.
Hiya Scrabbs
have to work all day Scrabbler?
ha6.21 ha & when you don't want to hear something , put your fingers in you ears and chant ** **
8:30-12 but on call duties started last night at 5 and end Monday at 8 am.
oh Scrabbler, I do hope it is a quiet weekend for you
TY, Lynxx
thanks Lynxxx, would never have gotten that one
I hope it is quiet + calm. I woke up with a migraine.
but you can be at home during that time Scrabs?
oh of all days
Do you know what I first typed, Lynxxx? Hanana. I thought, "This is like a banana."
sweetie starts calls at 8 a.m. until 8 tomorrow morning
Yes, Lynxxx, I can remain home but must be within 30 min drive of the hospital.
Let's hope the elevators behave. Am I right that he is an elevator expert?
yes, he is an elevator mechanic
at least he doesn't have to worry about the elevators playing with fireworks and getting burned
like children
maybe one of you all can answer a question for me.
Summer is injury season and Independence Day weekend is a busy one.
Several people were talking about hoping Dr. God puts an edit button on the new version. What will an edit button be used for?
I really don't know, Mom. I am a bit apprehensive of the new-look babble.
for your sake Scrabbler, I hope it is an easy one, especially with your migraine
Hmm, maybe to block a troll from the chat so we don't see their entries?
didn't understand that one either Mom. I am more than happy with a rotate thingamagig
Hopefully he will beta test the new site with us first like he did last time the format was changed. Greetings all.
Yes, I do like the rotation feature a lot.
morning FM
Hi FM
Good afternoon FMitch, nice to see you
Hello hello!
morning all
Hi FM

but, I have noticed you on wordsplay, just the same :)
Just had a look at the lionbergers - cute - and big!
haven't been here, or there much of late. Too busy with summer activities.
yes ... they were highlighted during a news show a couple of days ago ... supposed to be extremely kid-friendly dogs.
they get up to 150 pounds!
Think of the food cost!
Yes! Must be quite an expense.
oh lunch is ready back shortly.
I must run, too. Getting ready for a trip to the grandkids for 4th of July celebration. :)
Don't think I will solve this grid. Not enough time.
Have a great day, all ... good luck on this one! :)
bye Mongie. This is a good one to miss anyway
ok, I am back
bye lynxxx ... nice chatting. :)
bye bye Mongie
Lynxxx, how is your knitting project coming along?
Finished that one ... was the Just Like a Peasant Cap ...made for my daughter but suits me better - great for cold morning dog walks!

Since reknitted a babies jumper and about to find a hat pattern for my son - Love Ravellry!
I forget, it is your winter.
it is a nice sight. I am a slow beginner with knitting but have sworn off yarn projects until fall.
Yes, lovely weather to be knitting something here, although must ease up a bit as woken up during the night with weird pains in arms!
morning, all -- very impressed with you knitters -- my knitting prowess peaked back when I knit pink blankets for my dolls LOL!
Oh no, Lynxxx. Is it still a bother now?

Good Morning Everybody.
Good morning
Hello Babblers!
Good morning all
the gang is all here...
Hi red and Kenny. And Mr Bob. I didn't think anyone was here so have concentrated on the grid.
I just got here.
how are things nef?
and everyone else really!
oh, we're hanging in there, red. How about you?
I'm doing pretty good, we are getting cooler weather. Adjusting to nights...the usual.
How's the new job working out?
It is getting better each day/night..
working with a good crew?
They have a great health and wellness program, does you Blood levels every 6 months and gives you a free gym membership for 6 months.
I am distinctly not working with a good crew, but...it could be worse.
Nice perks!
It's great, as it's the gym I already use...
Danr! Sometimes a good team is all that you need to make a great workplace. I hope that it gets better
Well, they had a difficult manager for years who encouraged tattle tale behavior, and she has left, SOoooo, people are feeling more relaxed, I think it shall improve.
(That was "Darn", not Danr, but you figured that out
Yes. I am feeling pretty good about the entire move. and the paycheck is much improved as well!
If they got rid of a bad apple and hire peole with more positive behaviors, things can improve
Just finished, anyone need any clues before I go?
The pt volume is fairly low as well. but we do end up holding a lot of admissions...so I have learned some floor nursing stuff...ugh, K+ replacement protocols stink!
Hi Bubba!
Hey Red
Really? Wow; I would have thought that the pay there would be pretty much even (give or take a few cents/ hr)

sorry..I really need to wake up first...lemme get coffee and start again!
what about su3 pigs eat it
thanks mojo..didn't have that one
the best one so far is the th3 part of a plant that rhymes with the male sex organ/which is ALSO a word
Mojo, I'm not sure how you're counting, but the th word you are talking about is a th7
I thought the number referred to the value of the first two tiles...this is day 3 on babble for me! so the number is the number of letters in the word?
the first number is the number of letters
well, welcome to babbleland mojo!
anyone have the first LA?
if you go to the help box up above, it will help
not yet ruru
not yet, but I'm looking
got it
english way of saying work
oh...thanks!
just need the la 5/16 to finish the l's
the only la5/16 I have is bug egg
morning all
that's it.. thanks pini
;)
morning pini!
hi littlebit ;)
pretty icon
thx :), your's is rather happy, too! :)
thanks!
thanks nef!
i found the moon!
the moon?
lu5/12, Pini ;)
or 4/5...
hey NB!!
ahhhh, thx for that one, Mojo; and thx for the nudge, NB
how are you?
you can also add an R
Mojo, another site I recommend to newbies is down under the tile stats grid is a list of Friend of Babble. AngelSong's Babble Page is the last one and it's terrific for explaining the game
Hi NB
hi, LB and Nef! :) and you're welcome, Pini :)
got 'em!
thanks again Nef!
Nef! hey girl ;)
Great pic, NB!
thank you, Pini! I do try my best ;)
hi, Pini. I'm trying to behave and not end up in the PB this am. Off to a bad start though
How is life for you two?
I'll forgive you, Nef! * placing chocolate in PB, just in case *
fair to midlin, NB...in other words, SSDD (same sh** different day)
lol Pini...I hear that.
I'm looking at bills right now; not the most pleasant task after these past 2 months....
LOL, Pini, I think I'll say SDDS (ame day, different sh**)
Been doing lots of that myself Nef - when I'm not busy wringing my hands in despair. Paying for two flats this month, one of which I'm not even LIVING in...grrr...I'm the definition of skint.
SAME
but days have to change, Nef...gotta keep moving along...
NB...why 2 flats?
Hello, Babblers!
morning jellen
hey jellen!
In fact, I'm the definition of po4/5 ;) Pini, because I'd paid my month's rent for Leo's, but then of course had to leave and put down money for the one I'm in now...
hello, Jellen :)
Going to update my profile...brb
I've been UP since 4:30 AM; just definitely NOT awake. (Couldn't stay in bed any longer, achey)
Hi Jellen
I gather from that you and Leo are no longer together? Why isn't he paying for his own flat?
Oh well Pini, it's kind of a long story. Basically, I paid my half of the rent at the beginning of the month, as usual, and then found out he'd been cheating on me - so got out of there. That's the short version..
Ouch, Nef! What a pain :(
Oh, so sorry to hear, NB...perhaps HE should have been the one to leave and, as "punishment," incur the additional costs you are trying to cover (or at least give you 1/2 back).
I just did too much, then was crawling around on the floor with my grandson night before last.
Oh, to be young again, eh, Nef? :)
It would be nice. Tonight we are going to visit our old neighbors, so will be on the floor with my "adopted" grandkids too
S'alright, Pini :) I'm just glad I was able to find somewhere else to live! I was up sh!t creek without a paddle for a while.
...and I probably shouldn't say anything since I see I'm rather late on finding out, NB...but your picture is great! You look incredibly happy!!!
Thank you, Pini :) it's reminding me to smile these days ;) I've been lucky though - stumbled a bit but landed on my feet!
That's what I like to hear, NB!!! Good for you for keeping your chin up!
Landing on your feet is a great skill to have!
NB, I'm glad that you realize that you can land on your feet, that's an important life lesson
Pfffft, I've lost a family, a university place and a boyfriend - I'm getting used to this now ;)
thank you :) well, I couldn't have done it alone! Lots of babblers, as well as some other great friends, have made it easier
...a bit much for your young years, but experience that will make moments down the road seem trivial; you are resiliant! :)
I'm having serious lag time here; and now DH wants me to do some stuff around the house. I have to reboot; so will get away from the computer at the same time. BBL!
Also. Tequila helped ;)
See you, Nef! Don't work too hard :)
take care, Nef!
later, Nef!
bye nef!
Profile updated...
NB, be careful of that tequila. Sometimes booze seems like a friend, but it won't fix anything
bye now! <poof>
NB...Teq not exactly good alternative; may need to consider seeking out a different alternative for future reference! * big sis concern *
how are you two doing jellen?
boat
sorry
Pretty good...see the bottom of my profile for today's update...
I did read it. Is Tim in good spirits?
Singing along with Led Zepp as we chat :-)
good
Jellen, sorry you both have to stay longer; hope the hiccups have subsided!!!
Don't worry Pini, I'm mainly joking. I spent some time completely smashed - had no idea where I was, but of course that didn't help. Being more sensible now
big hugs for both of you. hope things get better soon
Oooh, good taste, Jellen! I love me some LZ ;)
Good boy, NB!!! * beaming * you did learn something!! :)
We're going to cruise the hospital in a wheelchair in a bit.
Oh, that will be a nice change of pace, Jellen!
That's my music, too, NB! Like Rush?
<-- country girl
We listen to country, too, Pini!
yeah!!!!
OK, going on a walk...bbl!
Enjoy!
I'm into a lot of 80s recently - have an almost physical dependency on Depeche Mode. I was born out of my time..
But lots of classics too - Pink Floyd, The Doors. I might just love music full stop ;)
hello NB...I love Depeche Mode...and the Cure and the Smiths even more!
Probably kind of like me...I happen to enjoy 50-60's quite a bit
pounce pounce HI
hiya herin
How you?
Love both of those, Mojo!
I got to see the Cure live :D
(((HERIN!!)))
Best band I ever saw live was definitely Radiohead at the Reading Festival '09. Literally perfect!
Hugs
NB you are so lucky to live in England.
I was looking forward to Sensation this NYE but no can't have as Aus is too far away
Groups other than country that I've seen include: Prince, Leonard Skinner, Deaf Leopard, Journey...
Journey was enjoyable; the others were a little much
Tell me about it...English festivals are awesome. The hygiene situation can be hard to take though ;) Plus, sleeping in a tent with five other boys = Jesse is not a happy camper
Prince! Wow.
Well I was gratful for the Cure as I know how much he hates flying
When he was still Prince even!
Actually, seeing Placebo was pretty awesome. I got right to the front, was black and blue all over at the end - so worth it.
black/blue? gads, tough crowds!
when my daughter saw Nirvana she was PROUD that she has been kicked in the head in the mosh pit! Teenagers! I bet she would be shamed by thta story now!
It was my own fault - the vocalist threw his shirt into the crowd and I caught it. I was immediately set upon :P Had to have stitches afterwards. Still have that shirt though!
Holy cow! Mojo...does she still talk about it like it was fun?
awesome NB! I once got and kept (to this day) a Bunny Carlos drumstick!
way to hold on, NB!!!
I would be proud, Mojo! One would expect little else at Nirvana ;) I got suckered into going to a Slipknot gig once...that was pretty violent.
No Pink...she is 30 something and I am sure she would be mortified to know I had told!
you, too, Mojo...
Thank you ladies ;) I was proud myself. My parents thought I'd been attacked.
...I'll just watch the music conversation now since I think I'm dating myself fast!
hmmph I need about $1000 by now :( I wont o go out
Ok...old age department here....drumstick from Moody Blues...
Nancy I was 3 from the frount for Placebo
Wow, I can't remember what it's like to have an amount of money in four figures.
I missed an opportunity to see Glen Yarborough a few months ago...I wish I'd been able to go!
What'd you think of them, Herin? They are a fun band to see live...I'm a big fan. Definitely have a crush on Brian ;)
what are you saving for, herin?
I want to go to Sydney to a massive dance party. Tickets are $200 each and now himself wants to come and play too
herin, have himself foot the bill? or his part?
O be still my beating heart Brian Molko up close is just as hot
Pini himself wants to come and play so now it is double the cost
you worry about your 1/2, herin; if he wants to go, let him worry about his
...and now that I've really dated myself, I think I'm going to try and find something for breakfast...
No Pini it is a team thing
...back in a bit.
You're telling me, Herin ;) and to think I own a shirt that was once worn on that charismatic, sweaty back. Ahhhh!
(oh, gotcha, herin...still...have him cough up some dough)
and the best thing about him is that we're both in with a chance, Herin ;)
O yes Pini for sure
morning all! happy weekend
NB dare I ask how you got that shirt
;)
baby2bit is 8 weeks old today
Hi Dan
Awww, Dan! And just as gorgeous as ever
NB I just think he is pretty that is all
Mojo I am 32 and was in a Mosh Pit in Jan
herin you are a special case :-)
Dan I refuse to grow up
nothing wrong with that!
He IS pretty. Nice guy, too. Seriously though, I suffered for that shirt - black eye, bruises all over, stitches...my nipple ring got ripped out, which I think is the next worst thing to being kicked in the crotch. But SO worth it.
Awww
and OUCH NB
It's what happens when twenty teenage girls are scratching desperately at your chest, Herin ;) I was glad to be gay that day..
I removed my ear and nose piercing before this concert and I didn't move the entire time from the spot I was in (which was for about 5 hours)
They were after the shirt, of course, not me!
Well you never know NB
I have the drumstick from Pantera signed and one from GenX signed
hi fellow babblers!
are you sure NB? ur a pretty good looking young man!!
Hi Beach
LOL Jilly...my thanks ;) but I'm sure. Nobody is good looking covered in sweat, bruises and blood!
LOL
Well my lovelies I have to go to bed
I certainly hope there isn't going to be a scar on your face NB!!
good night herin!
Night night
G
G'night, herin
Hi and by
morning jellen, how is Tim? and you?
not the face Jilly, anywhere but the face!! No, no scars, thank goodness ;) apart from where my piercing got pulled out - but nobody's really gonna be looking at my nipple that closely.
OUCH!!
Hi again...just got back from the giftshop...took a wheelchair, but he walked around the shop...was a bit much for him...pain is back...
Can say that again Jilly - I let out a most unmanly scream ;)
I'm good...slept better last night...
I bet, I actually cannot imagine having that ripped out...especially after nursing both my sons!!
It was my ticket to freedom though - there was an impressive amount of blood. Left the venue the dignified way - carried by security ;)
hope they were good looling!! 1st class all the way NB!!
LOL Jilly! Quite ;)
well babblers...off to shop for the 4th of July celebration. we are in Butte America...it's gonna be a party!!! See y'all l8r! NB: heal up! stay safe! Bye Jellen
Bye Jilly
Enjoy, Jilly!
*poof*
good afternoon everyone
Hi, Mom!
{{Jellen}} hello, read back in the chat, glad you rested better last night
{{hugs to you and Tim}}
*Hugs back*
Finally, halfway. I am calling it quits on this stinker. ((Hugs)) to all of you.
hey all. how's the grid?
ooh. mom gives a glowing review :)
Hey, jes!
I'm trying to reach nbt...anyone have the a in the second column?
dare i ask what it was you were fighting 20 screaming girls for, NB?
au + ***e and shine!
Thanks, Dorens!
glad you're sleeping well jellen, still sending my best thoughts to you both
also my son's middle name, al**
Thanks again!
A in the fourth column, third row?
nm, got it!
Beginner of Greek al***bet!
nbt and taking a break...
bye, jellen
this one is tough!
hello
hi, phaeton
run away; the grid lies... it says there are 131 words, but i say there are only 50!
Does any one know how to get candle wax out of cloth?
lol
well jes, there are 69, i am sure beyond that...
very very hot water
wait fo it to dry and then pick it off?
phae, you can freeze it and then remove it, but if its colored it probably will stain.
but if it's colored wax it'll still leave a mark.
tried that melody...it's kind of a lacy thing and doesn't want to let go
iron over it with brown paper...tht gets out greasae marks so may work
thanks...i'll try the suggestions
nice tip melody!
hola
hi kje, how are your new interns?
kje did you take off those earrings?
morning, kje
I did SG, immediately
which of the two enchilada recipes d you prefer?
my new interns will be fine - one is very good (from Miami, red), the other is having a slow start but I think he will get the hang of it
I like green enchiladas
Hi to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing today
yes, that one sounded very yummy
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
Well, the Miamian, must think Texas is cool in comparison. Did you get any of the Hurricane weather?
pretty flowers, min!
hello, min! doing alright in the real world, but getting my butt kicked inthe grid
we have gotten rain everyday for a week now... and gushers yesterday
Thanks kje~!
U of Miami has grads are really prepped and ready to hit the ground running as interns, I think... I have had several from there and they "get" the whole picture
Not sure how long I will be here. I have 3 little nieces and one computer. Also, going to pool party very soon
that sounds like fun. min!
thanks good news kje. I have actually never been to Miami!
does sound like a good way to be in the summer Minver!
they do a lot of geri there... that helps, b/c they learn good multidisciplinary care and how important all the extra things are like communication and continuity... many interns ta this point just want to diagnose and write a Rx and forget that it is all the other stuff that truly determines how a patient does
Ha, they want to be Emergency Docs!
red - I have a bad RN story
Oh no, not about me?
tell....
of course not!
we went in to see a patient, mid-30s, has been delirious for weeks, always trying to get up but would fall immediately - is on 1:1 sitter
we had hold all last week and I vainly attempted to be a floor nurse...ick.
oh no.
so we walk into the room, and he has leg restarints on and trying to get out of bed....
can you see the problem with that?
no arm restraints?
just leg restraints, climbing over a rail....
I can see many problems with this. where firstly is the sitter?
just leg restraints?
did he tear anything?
see - this is not rocket science... everyone can see what would happen
Why did she decide to choose leg restraints?
lol - I do have some experience with patients!
Cindi!
I undid the restraints, redirected him to stay in bed, and spoke with the sitter about why that was not a good idea and she said she had not restrained him
so how did someone else get in and restrain him, if she was supposed to be watching him?
mojo = mildred?
I bet he put those leg restrains on by himself! rofl
the nurse probably restrained him and let the sitter then struggle to keep the pt in bed.
seems like that's something you'd notice, someone coming in and messing with your patients.
Indeed...mo=mom jo=johnson
so I go to talk with the charge nurse just to explain our goal of no restraints and redirection instead... and also explain why leg restraints alone, if restraints are truly needed, are not a good idea as he will still attempt to get up, but will land on hishead without legs.... onlt to find out that SHE was the one who had done that
the charge!!!
sitters dont really have patients, they just sit....
ah
kje, did she have a high ammonia level? the charge that is? I mean, you dont use legs with otu arms.
mojo - pay the $14 and get pro
no, the sitter was happy to have the ongoing discussion with a delirious guy wanting to meet her "at the bar in the hall" for a beer ... she was good about getting his mind on something else like the TV
going pro is worth it.
whew. i spent the last 2h making a large amount of gazpacho, thinking i had to leave the house at 13. i don't have to leave til 14:30 :D
any clue for the su6 ?
hi, kje and red and jes :) and ouwachita
got it...nevermind
LOL kje, I took care of a drunk very drunk girl the other day who of course had to go to the bathroom, so I gave her a bedpan and then she said, "Well can we still hang out later?" I'm like, uh no no we can not.
hi DC< I want some Gazpacho.
I KNOW red!!! I was shocked... I thought it was one of the less experienced nurses and that is why I went to talk to her, so she could train them.... she defended it saying she had only done it b/c she was sitting there at the time. I explained it STILL should not be done - you turn your back for a sec, he goes over and lands on head
LOLOL red!
tom refers to his drunk patients as psych patients
Well, kje, if she was sitting there the whole time, the pt needed NO retraints.
he is not drunk.... slow clearing delirium, has been here for almost a month, likely wernickes
excellent point, red
no no, my drunk. was drunk, your guy was having delerium, different.
though in my area, we tend to use them more frequently than elsewhere.
i know he is persistent and a pita... but he is redirectable, and kind of amusing if you can tolerate it
well that means you have an hour to hang out with us, right, dc?
i keep finding tons of French words and members of my dad's family today, which doesn't help.
indeed jes :)
Did you talk to someone about the Charge KJE? I hope it was brought to the attention of the Manager of the unit, that is insane.
well, one great-aunt's name is accepted
the p's are a bugger
i immediately saw ur6, likely b/c i am on the wards... will start looking for the frenchies
hi, science -s noted
DC, can you trouble shoot a computer issue for me for a second?
oh, the frenchies are there, but thus far mostly not valid
i'll try red :)
ah! you misled me, dc - LOL
meaning your use of ur6 in the chat? or was that red. eh, whatever.
ph 7 = one of Freud's symbols
Hello again...
I have a MacBook pro and have an older ipod shuffle and also an ipod mini. When I plug them into the USB port they are not picked up by the computer at all.... once in a while they do pick up and charge and stuff, but not often...I tried compressed air, and still no good, what is going on?
hi jellen! is tim going to get to break out today?
I did not use the Ur word in Chat. I swear.
you probably need a new cord to connect the ipods to the mac - that was the problem tom was having with his ipod and iphone and the macbook, and new cable fixed it
ty SG
No, at least one more day...creatnine level is high
hi, jellen
ty SG
ah, can happen when the calcium gets high
red: you might want to get a new usb cord, I did and mine now works perfectly
should be OK with lots of fluids
Hi, dc and red...
ty rae, for the confirmation :)
suri is TOO a word. it's a type of alpaca.
They are pumping him full!
arrrugh, you know the shuffle charges from a base attached to the USB.
good, all that peeing is what he needs! LOL
Well, I am taking it to the genius bar in a few hours.
jes, have you read the jillibus' take on the ENABLE dictionary? If not, check out her profile
Any magic cures for hiccups...this is the second day of them...causing pain now...
love the genius bar
yes... thorazine
i haven't, dc
I've found the cords are not the greatest quality, my first one split into three pieces within a month
i drink water upside down, jellen
I do not like to drive all the way to Orlando for something that should work. THe shuffle is brand new, 2 weeks old!
put a spoonful of sugar under your tongue and let it dissolve, jellen?
new cable for connecting with it?
hiccups for 2 days usually has a trigger and not usually responsive to those tricks, ask the doc to try a dose of thorazine
It's a sticky little issue, they no longer make this shuffle, but the new one they made with the controls on the headhones tends to short out with sweat.
french chickens
too bad it wont take it
but if it's been going that long, you might wanna call adoctor about it.... that's a long time.
Thorazine hasn't worked...
yeah, what kje said ;)
poulet is not a word.
in the grid that is.
Thanks DC, I am going to hope the genius is really a genius tonight...
Actually, nurse just said doc wrote a new order for something...
then narcotics for the pain, and hopefully once the calcium and kidneys and other lytes have corrected, he will stop
but I would still give a couple days of thorazine
pleth is in the grid but also not recognized...
along with Freuds symbol replace the P with T and get a plant part!
oh, good, maybe that will help
Calcium is within normal range today...Yay!
hiccups are especially annoying when lying in a hospital bed with nothing to distract you!
http://partiallyclips.com/2010/06/25/g iant-phone/ - a comic about dadaism
glad to hear, jellen
ty mojo
Poulet Frite a la Kentucky
ty mojo - you are a plant babe
ty, mojo
He's got his mom and me to distract him...
no SG you are the plant babe!
Mojo is a good friend of mine.....be kind to her for a little while
LOL!
but we should harrass her to go pro
ok, must run... 87 to do later
Okay but just fir a little while ..
Oh hi, Mojo!
I did from PayPal and I cant see any difference!
good afternoon everyone;))
Bye, kje!
by kje have fun with the interns
hi crossy :)
HI Jellen
It might take a day.....
welcome, torgone :)
That"s what I was thinking
Mojo, go to My Account and change settings...
howdy, torg
be well, kje
Yes, it might be there and you don't know it
Hullo, crossy and tor!
howdy jes, have not seen you in a bit
bye, kje
howdy jellen
Heyas kids .. quick pop in ..
brb
yeah, i've been too busy to work grids at work ;)
hi, crossy
and not sure i should have started this one! it's not being kind to me.
bah! work is overrated anyways
howdy dc
I did Jellen...and it is asking me to go Pro...I have comepletely logged off/on two or three times. Think it might take a bit of time to register!
yeah, but if i quit, i won't be able to afford the internet connection anyway :P
rapha is in the grid. raphaela hasn't been around here in ages.
maybe you need to email Dr God
dr god's been working on redesigning the site, so an email reminder might be in order
argh any clues for the ro's?
ill have to teach you the fine art of waredriving then jes
make a ro4 with flour and fat
have that one.....
old ro5 the beau
ro 5 = stuff for violin bow
how many other ROs are there? i've not listed yet
ro 8
which is invisible
un7 and 8?
waredriving?
ro8 ends in not early
the art of grabbing free wireless signals off of someone elses wireless internet router
ah. yeah; that requires that someone else in the area have a wireless router...
you end up hanging around hotel parking lots and starbuck,s coffee shops lol
dont see it dc
my nearest neighbor (with power) is nearly half a mile off.
and someone in the area have an unsecured or easily hackable router
and i live in a town with no starbucks :P
(yes, that IS possible)
ro8 - anagram of not sweet + ends in not early
no starbucks is no loss, IMHO
i used to have a default list of all the factory passwords for all the main router labels....
ty dc
not a problem for me, either, dc...but seems like anymore the concept of a place in the US without one is shocking to people ;)
i do not drink their coffee..who can afford it anyways?
we do have a couple of drive-through espresso places.
44 left and I need a break bbl
i think their coffee tastes burnt.
Thanks for ro8
but the closest starbucks is a good 50 mile drive away.
i agree, dc. but i don't much like coffee to start with--i drown it in chocolate so you can't taste the coffee
i like mochas, too, but i think Dunkin Donuts and McDonalds to nicer mochas than Starbucks
much as i hate to admit that McD's does anything reasonably well, i do drink their mochas occasionally.
i'm not a fan of mcdonalds, but their mccafe coffee drinks are quite good.
I tasted McD's latte w/o flavor and it was yucky...
my primary source of caffeine is the espresso stand next door to the clinic... hard to argue with being right there ;)
indeed, jes :)
noted, jellen :)
I used to have a espresso bar in my bookstore...
we have an espresso bar in our kitchen
wow. how suggestible am i!? now i want to go get a mocha. :P
excellent, dc! bring me one?
LOL jes
brb
and maybe some gazpacho, since you're coming over anyway? ;)
:D
bb
any clues for the si7?
insi7
i suppose i should go get housework done before i leave for the bbq. have a good weekend, everyone!
be well, jes

i live in collingwood(skiing) but i work in wasaga beach(ontarios longest freshwater beach)
oh, I see.. how nice - beach party time
7 miles of waves and sand
and citiots...
wow.. lol for the citiots..
they had a huge pile up near my work yesterday took 5 cruisers, one firetruck and 3 ambulances to untangle it all
ooh, not good.. how near is the nearest hospital?
all us locals try to use the back and side roads till they all go home again;0
wasaga uses our hosp in collingwood,20 min

sept is amazing up here on the mtn,all the tree are changing colour and the canopy blazes with yellow, reds and oranges, the sun is still stong but there is a nice breeze of the bay and the air so so clear you can see all the way across the bay some days....
howdy stiddles
how's the grid?
i find it tough
okay, I will hope for halfway.
me too! and hi
cross, we had wilted spinach last night, with bacon vinaigrette. I thought of you...
hey doren (((Hugs)))
i found a new recepie book has 75 recepies for bacon!!!
damn typos
i will scan and share the best in the next month or so
mmmmm. that's a good book imho
missing 19 and would love to finish. going to see my daughter in a bit... she is coming home from cambodia and i want to hear her stories and see her pictures.
cambodia??? is she in the service?
wonderful, doren! I know you will have a wonderful time visiting with her!
no. she's on the board of a charity that has clinics there and she went for an annual meeting... (and took a side trip to angkor wat)
good day, everyone!
well i salute her and her work in that dangerous area
here for the last 95...wow, that's a lot!
hi miz
howdy miz
hey dorens and crossy!
I bet she will have some amazing pictures and stories
she already has told me a bunch in emails, she is an adventurous soul, and will eat just about anything... can't wait to see her
Mon dieu! Zee French chicken is not allowed. Poulet.
enable is so arbitraire, n'est-ce pas?
Oui, dammit.
hey Miz and Judi!
anyone have the si7?
hey stid!
Hello!
hi jel
hey Jellen!
hi everyone!
Hi, Jen
hey Jen!
hello jen
stid have you seen babrab lately?
I saw BabRab several nights ago...
no doren, I haven't. of course, my time online is still limited, but I think he hasn't been on much in the last several months. When I have seen him, he hasn't been very chatty.

All well with daughter Aloy?

my computer just froze and it took me all that time to get back in and now I have to go :(
HAve been keeping fingers crossed today that it wasn't raining in Ballymena as Haz was attending a wedding.
Laundry, packing up recycling, stripping a desk, watching Phantom Menace and Babbling!
kind of stressful when so many balls are in the air.. so I'm glad we talked
is it raining where you are, FM? hope the wedding was lovely
I love your attempts at French, FM!!!!
No - no rain here for the last 3 weeks Aloy and none forecasted.

Morning and night but am happy sploshing the water around.

hi wildcat
lol being the noive gardener that I am, I was cooing on about the amount of wonderful blooms on my rambling rose. After a month the first petals started to fall, now I wal on a carpet of rose petals every day whilst new buds are still coming though :)
hi doren
I knew someone who made wonderful wine out of rose petals
he also made mead out of our honey
Went out yesterday and bought a pair of stepladders so I can get to deadhead the higher blooms.

Hello again everybody :-)
wb, Soodle
Hello, Soodle :)
hi Soodle & NB
howdy all
hi Lynx, Jmb :)
hi jmb
Hi, jmb
Anybody want a hyper puppy? Buster is in Happy Hour right now, and trying to chew through the wires of the 'puter.
Welcome back Jmb@
people are bbq ing and throwing parties... but i'd rather babble . hmmm
Stick a puppy pacifier in his mouth
I feel like sticking my shoe somewhere else.....
I'd looove a hyper puppy! I miss our Haeng...
My one remaining shoe, that is. The little fecker has chewed up every other shoe in my collection....
watch out NB - you may get your wish
does he like the rawhide 'bones'? got to be cheaper than shoes!
fingers crossed Jmb ;) I'd love a dog, but it's not fair to have one when we're away so much during the day
He has the bones, Lyn, but he seems to favour the flavour of my shoes........ God alone knows why, they are not the most fragrant items on the planet. LOL
and that is why...
I go to school fetes and the like and buy up on very cheap fluffy toys for Stew.
He has a stuffed gorilla, which he has totally dismembered.
listing with 79 left
hello dobie! and soodles! and lynxxx!!!!
Tough grid today.
hi Stid!
hi stid
Hi, stid
*choclits for all*
hi, Stid :)
Hello Stid. ((())))
got down to 35 but think i'll list too, too hard
You settling into your new home, Nancy?
I am down to 82. might list, might not. feeling icky today, and ought to do more studying, but delaying...
migraine?
Slowly, Soodle :) I still have mornings when I wake up and feel for someone next to me, but I'm getting used to it :)
no, something viral, I think. once of my classmates was ill this week.
oh no, Stid :( you work too hard!
Welcome to the club, NB, :-(
not really nancy boy, spent two hours watching a movie on tv earlier.
:{ {{{stid}}} *from a safe distance*
LOL dobie! *sniffle* I'll be fine in a couple days.
I didn't think it'd be so lonely, Soodle! Very strange to get used to.
A poorly
Hic. A poorly Stid, a lonely Nancy, and a hyper puppy. What a collection we are!!!
oh well, things are sure to be better tomorrow, eh?
So says the quote in my profile, Stid ;)
Onwards and upwards!
:-D
stid will recover, the puppy will calm down (eventually) and nancy will bounce back (eventually)
94 to go and definitely stuck
ah, good. someone to put us in perspective
And the bit about Soodle winning the Lottery, Wildcat, what about that?
quite ;) nothing gained from feeling sorry for yourself, I suppose!
hello jane!
Can I help, Jane?
i don't think so soodle, it's too nice out side for me to take this seriously
hi, folks, can I contribute some good news?
I'm reading "A Common Word" which is a dialog between Christians and Muslims---perfect reading for a patriotic holiday if you ask me
of course jbv
hey JBV! yes! good news always appropriate!
soodle can win the lottery
number one - I am now officially RETIRED!
Hi, JBV
Hooray!!!!
cool
YAY JBV!!!! *confetti*
Woo-hoo, JBV!! A long, happy, healthy retirement to you!
Can I win the lottery the week after? I am the scary side of skint!
and that's not even the best news - I am living in a kind of dream, not sure it's real, just reconnected with a long-lost cousin in Italy - haven't spoken to him in 36 years! we are now emailing each other, and i'm brushing up on my old rusty Italian!
what are you going to do, instead of what ever you used to do, jbv?
AND, no kidding around, I won $5 in a scratch-off lottery ticket today!
molto bene, JBV!!!!
well -- there you go, our weekly babble lottery winner was JBV. soodles, you'll have to wait for next week! LOL
harp, I am busy making lists of projects right now, that's about it - I was the director of a public school Bilingual/ESL Program, very satisfying but very stressful, all that is now in the past
congrats jbv
We are on a roll here, guys. When my six numbers pop up, me and Nancy are heading stateside!
Hooray for the project-oriented life!
oooh! *starts to think about considering cleaning up for the impending visit from soodles and Nancy Boy*
hey dont forget me - Oh I am already state side - so come stay with me....
I think I am going to write a summary of the Italian connection, since it is so unbelievable and I can't keep hogging the chat with it. Stay tuned
hey River! how was the tie dye project?
Hello, River
stid, parli italiano? I might need some help...
JBV, that is wonderful. Did anybody see the 'Who do you think you are' with Lisa Kudrow? She traced her family back to Poland before WW2. It was very moving.
tie dyes are now processing - cant wait to see our creations - it was fun
ea6?
then snuck over to a neighbors pool for a dip - they are away on vacation - the stealth....
hm, be right back. saying I was lonely made me realise that I really, really am! I might have to phone someone or drink something sugary.
Yes, I love those shows - I am a great fan of family histories - when I post mine in my profile, you'll see a little of my family story
Harp - hearing organ, and how a dog would drink water...
ea6= listening organ + run a *** around a track
not much any more, JBV. last studied it about 20 years ago. still pick up "beginners' books" occasionally.
thanks for the ea!
that's me, too, stid, so imagine me trying to compose an email, looking up every other word.
NANCY!!!! PUT THAT PHONE DOWN. DON'T DO IT!
thanks for those clues
I am so far behind here - busy day - dont think I will finish tonight
yep. about where I am too, JBV. and the elder stidkid keeps bringing me German to share and I remember enough to know the syntax is off but not enough to explain to his satisfaction what the errors are.
*struck dumb with terror* bu-bu-but Soodle. I know it's late but we don't sleep.
leaving for real fireworks in an hour and need to eat supper first
there are some plovely little wren-like birds in the tree outside my window...
hello all 2nd la5/12 pls
Nancy, do you know the song by Lady Antebellum -Its a quarter after one, and I'm a little drunk....
hey peri!
Peri, the collars of a jacket.
hello all
I am going to make some lasagne sans tomato sauce for supper... the tomato allergy sux big time. I LOVE tomato sauce... *sniff*
lol Soodle - I don't, but I'm not drunk. And it's only quarter to twelve ;)
I am going to try a recipe I saw online for an alternative using beets and carrots...
Google it, NB, its a lovely song, and quite relevant, drunk or sober!
sounds interesteing stid, hope it tastes good
Mmmm. Lasagne sounds good right now....
talk to us some more nancy ... stay off the phone
am doing so, Soodle :) intrigued...
Peri, did you get the LA word.

Vacationing with kids is exhausting + often aggravating.
Go Jane go!
good job hjane
I am watching soccer/football--Argentina vs Germany.
vacationing with me is exhausting. i like to go go go, and see see see. now i must rest rest rest.
Yes, get rest. Any other plans for the summer?
plus, nick's got a touch of something or other, so has been whiny and pathetic all day.
visiting my grandparents, going to a computer conference for teachers, and doing paid summer curriculum work. i don't usually have such a booked summer!
nick probably has what I has feather... *whine*
Where are your grandparents?
down in PA, near Altoona
what does you has stid?
ha6/21?
stid haz nastiness....
I may visit my sister in NJ in Sept--will go right thru your city on Rte 86.
I have tummy yucky and tired and feverish... not enough to really excuse me from studying, but really slowed me down.
nick's had really swollen glands for a couple days, but otherwise acting totally fine. today, he got a fever. i'm watching him, pumping him with fluids, and dosing tylenol.
Being sick sucks.
oh! FIREWORDS!!!!!
cool scrabs! going on a weekday or weekend?

I am off from maybe Sept 4-13--so I will choose 5 days and maybe see you on way there or on way home?

*puts fingers in ears to protect from yelling*
i was just about to tell scrabs how sad i was to have missed you in boston pam. and kje had given me special directions to call you pammie!
Not I, Peri. I will be in northern NJ + will hope to see Doren, Mymuse, Nerky + JBV again.

Watching soccer/football, Pam?
i won't be able to do the philly meet. start of school.
Well, Peri, it depends on which days I decide to be in NJ.
Pam!
howdy!
I watched this morning, scrabs! and this afternoon, live
red!!!
Maybe this isn't live-Arg vs Ger
I have to wonder why the referral line has twice called in the wrong dosage for my meds... grr
I came very close to having an acutal panic attack in the mall, my goodness....
no, they played this morning and it is recast, scrabs
I have panic attacks!
What happened, Red?
Aha, Pam. I didn't see anything else worth watching on TV.
I had to go to the mall today at 6 to get a repair to an apple product. I have not been to the mall in maybe over a year. So many people....all milling about somewhat aimlessly.
I am watching dvr'd in plain sight, scrabs
I can't believe Ghana lost....
I went into Bath and body works and the sales people just about bowled me over...
I usually re-watch the soccer match to see what I have missed
watch the tour de france! well, it's exciting to me....
Pam, I have not seen the season ender yet of that one.
hi, harp! long time!
I like watching tdg feather
I watched some tour, feather
love it
That's what I am watching, red
yay harp! ata does too. she even got to see part of a stage 2 summers ago i believe it was.
I get overwhelmed in those situations too, Red. Check out the book "Highly Sensitive People" by Elaine Aron, PhD.
how is lance doing?
FOURTH, red!
I try very hard to avoid, but that is where the apple store is for me.
i just finished an awesome book, "Look me in the Eye"
doing well!!!!
ha, he beat contador in the prologue time trial by 4 or 5 seconds. so there alberto.
I read that a year ago, Feather--interesting + sad.
hmm, i didn't find it sad really. well, yeah, the beginning of his life was pretty sad.
And there is a similar book, Feather. Let me try to find the title.
I am finding this grid to be somewhat more difficult than I want it to be.
ro8 pls
32 left and struggling
http://www.johnrobison.com/ there's his website, i'm going to explore it in a few minutes
Feather--Born on a Blue Day by Daniel Tammet. Better than Look Me in the Eye.
a pretty red ***e + vowel + la4,4
oh yes, he mentioned it in the afterword, saying how similar their stories were, except that tammet had a much more supportive upbringing
thanks Jmdobie.

i'm going to head out to explore his blog. later peeps!

Hello all, looks like a fine chatline.
hello Mother, how are you today?
Hi mama, just fine. Went for a walk, watched the Tour de France Prologue, played piano, read, cooking dinner.
Hi Stidgmere
good for you. I am a bit under the weather, so pretty much did nothing but study (and babble) and rest today.
Expect to be back in form tomorrow.
What did the menfolk do?
the grid today is not very friendly.
tom washed cars, mowed the lawn.
stidkid#2 has "hung out" and read most of the day.
grid is a bit stingy and mean.
stidkid#1 had a difficult day, but is at his friend's 18th bday party this evening so hopefully will be in a better frame of mind tomorrow.
hi, stidgmere
Good. Tomorrow should be a bit noisy, but as I count the neighbors, not many do fireworks anymore.
stidM, I wish I could share with you some of the lavendar bubble bath I got tonight, it is running now and smells really lovely.
yep. tomorrow I am going to make tamales -- thought it would be a nice way to stay home and experiment with cooking.
mmmmm. bubble ba4 *floats away*
I heard some fireworks a few minutes ago. 8:56 pm here.
mmm .. tamales ..
oh crud, I didnt have that one.
hi Torgone
thanks!
I have some lavender that is blooming right now. Love to rub my hands in it (after checking for bees.)
about to make tacos for tonight, something quick and tasty, and easy.
hi, torgone!
neat
MMMMM taco.
I thought potato salad for a side dish tomorrow.
hey tor! come on up... not sure how well they will hold together (never made them before) but they will taste good, anwyay!
We have had fireworks since early june!
Heyas kids .. Barely miking half way ..
making
on occasion I see Disneys, but we dont have any tonight as it has been raining most of the day.
only 70
we're having a fair number of bombastic noises here, but not as much as some years. I think the recession has people conserving the expensive ones until the "big day"
Do you have the corn husks?
Clue for the in5,12 please
yes, I got the husks, and fresh masa (not sure how good the stuff in the freezer still is), and fresh turkey to grind.
and lots of garlic... and a HUGE pot to steam them in.

Nice icon, Min! Franz Kafka was born on this day...
Hello all!Have go again.Need to go back to pool party
Hi, tri!
Heya Trifs!
hello all
ra6?
So this grid is a memorial to Kafka?
LOL, wht.. no, i was just remarking to min as her icon celebrates idaho's entering statehood on this date
ra 6: sprinted + ending of utensil used to flip burgers
*POOF*
hey trifioso.
and I am heading out to make supper. see you-all tomorrow. *poof*
hi pam
Hi Trif
hi, ru!
ty min
I was thinking the syringe was NY States flower
ROFL, RU
hey there everyone
but I didn't need to needle min about it
always nice to inject some humor
that's what I thought.. but that's hard to pin down
rather pointed humor...
it can be prickly
<<< --- took a shot at it
You guys are so sharp!
<<<<----pokes at folks
LOLOLOL
Pam takes Pokey-mon to a new level
ru, i am thinking it's time to ask for a couple of bordeaux recommendations
am in the mood...
LOLOL, ru
Sorry, distracted. Cooking dinner.
what do you want to spend?
THat's the thing
I know i have to spend more than usual
but I won't spend $50
yeah.. okay
no rush
Try Chateau Signac
we're having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave this week, so it'll wait
any special year?
You know 2009 is a great vintage and even the echeapest bordeaux are going to be good
I meant specific year
don't buy 2007's
I have read that about 2009
I have been trying to read more about wine
and vintages
I like the 2005's the best.
and a friend bought futures, so I need to be smarter
OK, can I afford 2005 ? ;)
I just had a 2000 Cos du Estournel last night.
Well, I think I'll take my 14 words and call it complete. Good night all.
sure.. a lesser chateau. and it will be good.
Give me the web-site of your favorite store and I will see what they have
how was that Cos?
ra6 is a growth seen under the tongue--often in newborns.
excellent.
I go to two now... let me find them
Madonna gets ra 6 all the time
I like this one a lot, as their prices, even though they're on newbury, are lower, and the people are SPECTACULAR www.bauerwines.com
brb
the other place i go, because it's local, is blanchards http://www.blanchardsliquor .com/
try the Chateau Larose =Trintadon $17.99 a decent and good producer. .a 2005 too..probably really nice
that's at Bauer.. let me look some more
Nodding off here. Must quit at 70/110 + get u p upstairs to bed. See you tomorrow.
Hope tomorrow is better than today, Scrabs! Sleep well
found two great ones at Blanchards.. skip the Larose
Ok!
good night scrabbler, dear. dorme bien!
which two?
Buy Chateau Beaumont 2005 and Chateau Greysac 2005 @ Blanchard... and you are set.
both under $20
both excellent..had them both
there are a lot more..they have a much better selection
THANK You!
Bordeaux intimidates me
Or should I say, buying it
i'm not well versed in tongue abnormalities.....
not really.. the really well run small estates are usually a really good deal
some bordeaux is really expensive.
But, I am not sure of those estates! Just started really reading and paying attention a few months ago as I really used to just drink chianti if i drank red!
you got me onto the cote du rhone and garnacha!
I bought futures on the 2000's and they are all worth a ton more than what I paid for them
That's so excellent, ruru
I hope my pal does well, too
branching out is good pam.. with all the great values in the world now.
and the exchange rate is so favorable for us now
prices are coming back to realistic levels.
I have heard that the '09s will be grand
yes.. in burgundy and Bordeaux..
I am glad about the prices coming down
also the Beaujolais will be especially excellent this vintage
COOOL!
More reds to play with
Beaujolais is what you make Sangria with by the way
I am sticking to albarino and riesling for whites
Yes, and you told me not to spend on the sangria wine i buy
the 2009 Burgundies are going to be priced out of existacne
Rreally?
this grid is proving to be very reluctant to give up its secrets
it's a toughie Trifioso. I just finished, do you need any clues?
congrats, Luv!
Congrats, Luv
um, yes, about 92 of them....
ty
aral
oops - sorry. at least its not a valid word....
I'm kinda bored...Tim's already asleep, and there aren't many channels on the hospital tv...
Would love to clue...
well, I'll leave the clueing to you, Jellen and call it a night. Take care all
I am just trying to get halfway, and have no list, so I am muddling on as best I can.
G'night, Luv
nite Jellen
hospital, jellen? what have i missed????
Check out my profile, pam...
Jellen, you will both be in my thoughts...
Thanks, pam
it is so unfair Jellen
I agree, ruru!
I found three more pam
creatinine
creatinine can go up fairly high .. it might be temporary
the kidney didn't like one of the drugs is likely
Indicates kidney function...it likely is temporary...
yeah I know.. I had an older dog with that problem. Hopefully they will keep him hydrated
The doc said there was several possible stressors that could have triggered it...
I a soo sorry he has to go through this.. it is awful being so young and having to deal with this
Yes, they are pumping fluids in him round the clock
We just had to start one of our cats on the high protein kidney diet---which means BOTH of our cats have to go on it
oh, just read the chog, we're talking about a PERSON with kidney problems---how insensitive of me!
You are such a support system to him
Don't you wish you could control what and when cats eat?
well, we have opposable thumbs and cats don't....
ok, ruru.. .i'll add them to the list
Jellen, i hope the mayo protocol has great effect
Oh, pam, so do I...
Chateau Valentin ($15) and Chateau La Tour Bonnet $17.. and futures of 2009 Lanessan @ $20.97..
I made it to over halfway and nbt, so I think i can take a break now. See you all later, I hope....Jellen, you and Tim remain in my prayers. So much love and light coming your way.....
I would hve no idea how to buy futures even were i going to, LOL
Later, Trif
brb
you simply buy the bottles now.. they arrive in the spring of next year.. and you enjoy them at much lower prices.
ahhhhh
hi everyone. Loooooong time no see.
when it arrives it will be $32 -$35

Hi Jellen
I am doing well, nat

yeah, mostly I just try to find the zen in it. can't move because of the kids and I really like my job.
<--has no commute
Unless you count home to Springfield...
<<--- has a hellish T commute at times
I think that counts, Jellen--and a lot more stressful. I'm sorry to hear about Tim.
I'm going to wander the halls a bit...bbs
what are you doing for them, nat?
By Jellen. Prayers are with you.
... PAM drives through fire to get to work..
customer service manager--but we outsource to a company in pa, so no one really reports to me. best way to be a manager!

Anyone need clues before I go?
I'll take that as a no. Night all. {poof}
laundry wrangled....for now.
ir
Not a fan of doing the laundry, but appreciate its value, LOL
I agree, Pam. Right now I'm kicking myself for not doing it during those few days when it was cooler.
Warm up starting here tomorrow, I think... for days...
it was warm otday, but not oppressively so like
Back...not much to see in the hospital halls...
Ended up in the kitchen, lol
I know, should have been outside enjoying today, Pam. Instead I was reading. story of my life!
find anything good in the kitchen, Jellen?
what are you reading? I am reading batuman's the possessed
Just some milk...made a Starbuck's iced coffee...
and seven ages of paris by i can't remember who!
the new Denise Mina book, Still Midnight. Just bought the new David Mitchell book, but haven't started it yet.
Can't wati to read Mitchell's book
I haven't read much lately...just a couple of the Evanovich mysteries...and me a former librarian...tsk, tsk!
You have a lot on your plate, jellen
all the reviews have been amazing. I want to be able to savor it, but right now I need pure entertainment.
yes, the reviews have been incredible
how are the twins?
camp this summer?
I love mysteries, but haven't read any of the Evanovich books.
True, and Tim doesn't let me read uninterrupted for very long...
i need to jump in for a minute. Jellen, i know that you have and are going through some tough stuff. Evanovich is the best thing for you - the mind pictures that she writes are just so funny.
they will at least bring a smile to your mind. at least IMHO
They are good, aren't they, joey?
I also picked up Angry Housewives Eating Bon Bons
i can not get out of my mind the picture of Lulu running through the park chasing a woman to pay her for her bag of dog poop
they are pretty good, Pam. 6th grade this fall...eep! No summer camp other than a few weeks of day camp here and there.
got to read about stephanie plum & ranger the hunk
LOL, joey.
Lol, I haven't read that one yet...I've just read one and two...
6th? wow....
what are the housewives angry about, Jellen?
oh, yes. there is nothing better for pure enjoyment. and laughs.

I'm going to take a break now and go back to my movie...see you all later
Think I'll make a field trip to the bookstore tomorrow if we're still here...

Bye, Natasha
See you girls later lol
I think I remember someone celebrate her 6th anniversary the other day...

ciao, all
Wow, I must highly recommend Starbuck's new instant iced coffee, at least with 1% milk...
Bye, pam...
Oops! Killed the chat...
RESURRECTION
Grem!!!
My streak has come to an end - I gave up and used Lickety to get the last 2 words.
I must have typed things close to them dozens of times.
This was a bit of a stinker...
(pl7 and pl8)
Used a2z for pl7...
once I saw the words it was wedged within, I had it in a few seconds
back for a few more;))
You probably don't know what that is...
because I had seen the words before, but couldn't bring them to mind earlier
Hi, crossy!
howdy jellen;)))
I used a2z once or twice.
My brain's too distracted to monkey effectively...let alone recognize words like pl7...
When did Babble start? The first Archives entry is for Sept 30, 2003.
Hello all.
Hi, jilli!
Well, I scrolled back and found the question, but too late, I guess.
I have 43 left and need to get dinner. Back later.
Thanks for the hi, jellen.
Well the original inquirer is gone, but I find the information interesting...
See you later...
I would guess it started on that Sep. 30 then.
Only 7 people played, so it couldn't have been around that long if it wasn't the first day.
And I see no chat until Oct. 6.
Also notable on that day, Dr. God says he switched the dictionary from the OSPD to Enable (to include words over 8 letters long).
Dr. God blessed Enable!
*sounded better in my head*
He didn't have many choices ..
I imagine that's true...
I think the Doc favors simplicity and ENABLE is a fairly well recognized standard ..
Even though we curse it almost daily ..
Do you happen to know when some of the rumored changes will come to the site?
And, I think, Enable is in the public domain...
That's a good point about the public domain .. Don't have to mess with copyrights ..
Or paying for it...
Changes are coming soon, from what I can tell ..
A's Abolished 9 left!Oh and hello everybody,I'm lurking
*comes out of lurk mode to join the real Babble word*

Maybe if I did not spend 6 straight hours in the sun,I would be able to do an R rated story. My brain is shot
nu 6 = nu 4/5 + say ** for the doctor
nu 6 ends same way as the Muslim God 72 Temple Owl.
I remember being a teen and my mom telling me that much architecture is either mammary or ph7..

Like the Smith Tower in Seattle.
What was the last one you wanted, TO?
I don't think there is an a/6/24/ There is an a/6/21, which is a female name. A famous tennis player named GIbson had it.
Hi, jan
al 5:There are 26 letters in the al***bet 72 Temple Owl
Hello Jellen. I just dropped by to check in. This grid is a bear.

Hello jan!How are you doing? Welcome to the chat log
yw
We had a building on my college campus that was alternately called the Blender or the Physical Ph 7 (it housed Physical Sciences Dept.)
I'm fine. Nursing a badly sprained ankle, but that doesn't explain how slow I am on this grid...
i've been hunting on and off all day. down to using morewords.com, which i only used when i'm really really stuck
oh heck...just checked out the an words...7 8 7!!
jan, you have to stop typing with your feet LOL
So sorry about the ankle, jan...
my kids have discovered Gilligan's Island. I hear them laughing away...

ty
an 8/45 is an 5/12 word plus consumed 72 Temple Owl
Me too. I usually can get to about 20% left without having to resort to the list, and most days don't need A2Z at all. Today I was at A2Z with about 40 left!
got the 8 too
an7/32 is an5/12 word plus an alien who phoned home
I resorted to asking for clues for my last eight words.
I'm at 16 and will doggedly pursue them. Unless I don't/
LOL jan
You'd be he 4/6ing stave off boredom if you asked for clues, jan...

does the ea6 extend the ea4?
I went through the clinical trial routine with my dad's leukemia. It turned out amazingly well. Now that drug is the protocol of choice. So clinical trials can really pay off.
The specialist in St. Louis was very positive about this trial...
The ea/6 does extend the ea/4 in form, but not in meaning. It sounds like a covering for the hearing organ, minus one letter.
thx jan ;)
ha6/24?
(then must take koda out)
ha 4/5 + say ** for the doctor
My son just said "I think that's Mr. Magoo"

hi jellen
Are you in BC. jilli?
Hi neighbour, jan!

I don't mean sprite's -- I mean stidmama's.
pl7/8 clu epls?
Blue did you get that book for the kidlets?
Sorry, I'm a bit upset -- so inaccurate.
the new producer is indeed a writer who like the scary themes. (thank goodness. do you remember how bad the show was under the unmentionable producer who was not a writer or a director or anything??)
No kidding! I think I may be in China then, but if not I
Oh shoot, jan -- where in China? (again, check my bio -- scroll down!
Why upset, jilli?

This grid took hours of la6/27.But I fulfilled my oa4/5 to finish. I le 5/12 into the grid this morning and did not enter my fi5/16 word until 10:48 thanks to Jellen It was a grid from he 4/5, but I did le 5/10 some new words. Now I can do my story of clues. My nieces are visiting for their an6/21 visit. I had a pl4/5 for them while they are here. I made it clear th 4/4 although I wanted them to have fun, they had to follow all of my ru 4/5s. They had a choice of going to see a ba 6/24 or going to a pool party. Of course nieces wanted to go to the pool party and they had a ba4/6. Nieces ba 5/16ed so much, they did not even have to take a ba 4/6 tonight. They got to ride a mini bo4/6 in the pool They played other pool games. All their pa 4/5 skin is now nice and tan. When they were finished swimming they played ta 5/14. It was hard to te 4/4 my nieces away from this party when it was time to go. I could te 4/4 th 4/5 they did not want to leave. Now that I did story of clues, I believe I have ea4/4ed the right to go to bed. Not a so 4/5 is awake now. I sue morewords because I'm impatient, and most of the words I find there are ones I've mever seen before and never hope to see again. But I like to clue and it helps me do so. Some people call it cheating, but I disagree. We are not in a race.
*I use, not sue!
the cluing is fun!
I'll take all the clues I can get at this point!
Sorry about the typos.

Though if you were in a suing mood, I'd sue Enable.

Oh well, nobody cares...
Ah, Jilli, in the final analysis the memories of our youth are always best preserved in our minds rather than in the world.
Move quickly on foot + ***ter (what the postman brings)
My parents lost all of their family photos some years back, but I can still see them in my mind.
23 to go and enjoying the conversation more...jilli's stories and SU memory
Wise words, but it still hurts to feel so rootless. Hard for people who still live in their native lands to understand.
We have boxes and boxes of family photos, but most are unidentified...
su6?
Add a consonant to su 5/12
su + Ha**** and her Sisters
thanks!
or what jellen said
Many people in China feel rootless--they have seen such unbelievable change in their lifetimes
