Its an old-fashioned range - an Aga. I burn turf and peat in it in the winter. Its messy, but throws out amazing heat.

we have had a very bad day, husband is ok but he had a car accident this morning , ran into the back of a car - his brakes didnt work - dont know what happened maybe they locked or something- he is very upset tho

he is very depressed about it all but I pointed out that we have food and shelter and do not live in a war torn country so we can be happy - he can use my car while it is getting fixed , but he is still upset

We have a mix, but I get on with them all.
They certainly telephone often and have done so since the beginning. The main problem is that we are on a very American schedule; when I am cooking, they are having coffee. When I could come over, they are cooking. Dinner is totally out, because we eat at 6, they eat at 8.
I have wonderful neighbours. At one side a couple with 3 grown children, who are loving, caring and always willing to help... more like parents to me than my own ever have been.

and on the other side a young couple with a baby and a 4 yo. Friendly, helpful, just extremely noisy, but they are worth the frustration from that.

and the little square where we live is special, we have square parties every 5 years, just celebrated the 30 year's existance of the square. People all know eachother and get along.

terra is having the time of his life. My husband has taught him to sit in a basket on the steer of the bicycle. He goes everywhere and gets to explore new places, new smells, everywhere they go.

my love has his holiday now, so lots of time for fun things. We went to the woods yesterday, I even walked a little bit. Delightful. Kids are fine, enjoying the school holidays, sleeping in, going out to stay with my sister, doing camps, etc.
oh yes, my husband, who was strongly opposed to getting a dog and agreed finally only on the condition he wouldn't be bothered with it, is the most besotted of the whole family :)

Mom, He works in a sheltered workshop and he takes the city bus back and forth from work. It is only one bus so it is easy for him.
Our grocery stores employ a great many people with Down's, they are all a lively bunch.
Bobby has had the opportunity to work in supermarkets but he prefers to stay in the workshop.
that is so wonderful Annie. When I was growing up, they tended to put the Down's children in institutions. I could never imagine giving one of mine up.

dad's is right at the cardis - where the stomach and esophagus meet. he started radiation and chemo about a week and a half ago and is having a lot of trouble with it.
