NonnieLight - I think she was a housemaid, in the Liverpool area of England, and the Mormons were looking for women to come to US (also men, I guess). Yes, many lost their lives. It was a difficult trek. Especially for those who traveled by handcart. Not many supplies can be put in a handcart and even if they could, then they have to be hauled across rough terrain. I can't even begin to imagine...

he is taking MY pain killers as I always have back pain, but have learned to live with it

that might cheer him up as he is very depressed
that makes it harder on him... and on you. Pain is an energy devourer at best, and ruins your life at worst.
I ordered some fossils for him from England, but they still haven't arrived!
better start making a lovely page for him then, with pictures and the promise they are in the mail...
since I always have at least a little pain, I have learned to manage it and therefore live pretty well, just knowing my limitations. He thinks that if he pushes himself, it will go away. And, of course, he won't listen to me!

I know, living with pain is an art in itself. I never listened to anyone either, had to find out the hard way how to handle things. Just love him and in the meanwhile take good care of yourself.

Just went to that website crosshair and I recognize it as a website I saw before in my research.I think it just scans the laptop to see if any of the drivers are corrupt. I do not believe I can download any drivers.

nef, that reminds me of something that happened a work recently. We have to write detailed reports on our residents for record keeping purposes. One of the staff use the word "emesis". The supervisor returned the form asking what it meant and because SHE was familiar with the word, made the staff change it to vomit.

depends on the type of battery, but can be good once in a while. it sort of resets the amount of power it can hold I think.

have counsellors in the school...these 2 deaths occured withing 2 weeks of eachother..both boys..both athletic and popular and smart...and both killed themselves the same way

hi cos... the school is about 1100 total
my town is fairly well connected...all the kids from all the schools all know eachother or are familiar with eachother as houseleague sports are really popular here...( houseleague being city wide )
back with our first computer (and first cell phone and first electric screw driver, LOL!) we were to run the batteries fully down in order to extend the battery life since keeping them plugged in all the time shortened their battery lives.
its the shok that both so close together....they havent had time to get over the death of one classmate and a second has died
that's not true nowadays, fortunately, but I still try to run the battery down once in a while.
