I had my gall bladder out in August -maybe that's what you were thinking about. I'm fully recovered from that. (was ironing the next day...)

It certainly has - I wish I'd had it done a lot earlier but kept putting it off. I was in for about 24 hours, no pain relief needed after 3 days, so it has revolutionised the treatment.

me too, annie! the weather people have been so funny, making all sorts of predictions about how the leaf color will go this fall - as if there is a THING we could do about it!
leaf color is BIG here in NE
the foliage is amazing in the NE..we always go upstate NY for a weekend to see it
apparently this is not going to be a good year annie -- not enough water in the summer means poor foliage color come fall. the leaves just curl up and turn brown, I guess.

she was out in the yard today, getting ready to plant the daffodil bulbs that we ordered months ago and were just delivered. Odds are VERY high they'll be in bloom for the wedding...
and if not.. I'll have a lot of daffodils!LOL
We made a lot of our own decorations, bouquets, cake, food, etc... I have to say for both of them we were very fortunate as both husbands have tons of family in town and a lot of what we couldn't do was taken care of by them.
I'm sure she already has one, but get a good checklist...
she's collected LOADS of baby food jars.. will put a bulb in each one, and ribbons around each jar.
Real Simple weddings had one I had thought was good...
I'll ask her. I know she took out some books from the library.
and then the guests can take the bulb/flowers home.
so they're her favors too.LOL

well.. her fiance's fave color is orange. and hers is green. So she's going with mostly white with dark orange and green accents.
We made little boxes out of card stock and put a truffle in each and put that at each place setting. The card stock was in the two colors.

Well, I was married in 1981...the full Catholic wedding. Photos were $600, my dress a designer on sale was $350, and we had full sit-down meal for $2.50 a plate....my how times have changed!!
