I think people need to understand their pasts
so I finally decided to pick up my psychiatrist's clue and check out what NPD is. It was as if everything in my life finally clicked. He cannot help it, except if he seeked help and went through intense therapy himself, which is something a person with NPD almost never does. But he is cruel and does so much damage. I have to protect myself and my family against that. So the door is closed now.
yes, I think so too, jilli. It is not about blame or guilt. It is about responsibility and recognition. All I have wanted was for him to say: "I am sorry I caused you so much pain and damage. I cannot change the past, but I will try to be there for you in the future." But he will never be able to say something like that. Because he cannot admit he is not perfect.
so, long story short: am grieving now, I guess. Babble is a great help. And so are you babblers :)
sprite, I'm usually not chatting, so forgive me for butting in. But I have a small idea of what it's like. My brother has NPD. Not nearly as bad as a parent, I know...
You're right about grief. Giving up the hope of having a relationship with my brother was very hard.

I think the top E is eo6 but I can't see it, and the bottom one must be the en words -- again, I'm blind. I think this grid is full of useless unwords.
for the bottom E I have en6, a former insecticide. Starts with not the beginning and has not out as last part, you need to insert one letter between them.

Whatever youse use jelly beans etc weigh 100 of them first so that you can just weigh what they bring back at the end of the hunt - save a lot of counting.
Have you seen the show "Minute to Win It?" You could revamp some of their games and give the girls 100 seconds to do each task. We did the minute to win it with the women at Chruch and I'm telling you it was tons of fun.
make sure you write down where you stash all the candy for cleanup after. unless you like ants of course...
