Love the cryptic clue, dfm. Keep'em coming!

lol, dfm, jilli's story goes deeper than mine
hi davurs
I was in a hurry so made it brief
Hi Jilli. I'm usually here, but don't enter chat!
brevity is the soul of wit
Kitty is in for a headrub - hasn't had the time for it lately!!
hi davurs! :o)
love your icon picture davurs
crashing here - 30 for tomorrow :)
From the west coast of "our" island.
so do I -- where is it on Van Isle?
I see
By Ucluelet
I never understood.. playing this game without the chat.. the chat makes it much more fun
ah, it's so beautiful up there
I think so too, ruru
Yes, we live in paradise, albeit a trifle wet one recently.
davurs.. do you guys who don't do the chat think we are all nuts for blathering on all the time?
and more wet to come, I hear. It woke me up last night, lashing at the windows.
YES
No! Though it does sometimes read like a chick-flick - sometimes that is!
I think we're nuts from blathering on all the time!
Do you live in Ucluelet?
No, in Qualicum.
can you add to that Ray.I am really interested
Hello Ray
but it is interesting to learn a bit about each other, don't you think?
not really, just find sme of the chat surreal particularly when it relates to cats & baking...
However, I only take one hour to work on Babble - 10 - 11pm PST - and then it's off to bed...so I'd better get back to the grid.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi all...
*puts a cat in the oven*
ok, davurs, nice to meet you and see that lovely view
v. good
Hi, Ray - where in UK?
Christine, his profile says Cardiff.
Ooops, clicked on , and nothing showed.
click on the little blue shoulders
When there's no icon, you hcae to click on the "purson"
wow.. I am really stuck
Yess, dear, but my computer wouldn't co-operate. All is now well.
118
Ya know Ray.. I don't really notice so much kitty/baking stuff..
in quicksand as well, ru
ruru, I'm stucker than you.
must be on at another time
I still think that looks more like a purse than a 'purson'
do you think Martha Stewart is influencing the chat?
but I stuck a kitty in an oven, ruru!
you are a sick puppy dfm
horrid idea, dfm
119
You'll never get the smell out.
okay une - smartypants
I'm a puppy? o.o
i resolved to not be around at the flip tonite -- will try that again tomorrow
why is that une?
i'm so tired it's ridiculous and I'm doing it to myself!
Can you say b e d, une?

I'd just like to get halfway

I had those, flosey -- matchmaker(s), I think
oh, thanks
ah, over halfway :-)

people get them lying in the sun
never mind, huge fish. >.>
thanks jilli :o)
yup
yw ;-)
if i were posh - i could wear a jersay
well, you'll have to settle for je 5/20
hmm, i thought grodier was a word
it is, but enable doesn't know it.
so did I, josh... apparently Enable doesn't.
ok, down to 40 and I'm off to bed
goodnight all
night flosey!
wd flosey-- g'night!
heh, 4 left... down to a r4, r5, r6, r7.

missing just the r7 now
do you have an re7 like my phantom of a few minutes ago
I have to go to bed -- goodnight all. You geniuses may not need Lickety but I do, so I hope he'll arrive by tomorrow.
nope -- fireworks :o) thanks!
congrats dfm!
And now goodnight and *poof*

<---- dumb luck
night all
night ruru
jilli - did you say "no lickety"?
I did ursh but I was wrong -- he's here!
night ruru`
oh ok - just thought I would say I have found if I log on to babble before lickety posts his clues my list often does not change - but if I come on after he posts it is usually OK
I mean I have to come in and a go out a good few times to get the new list up
Ursh, Lickety didn't announce his arrival this time
ok 40 left and now I'm really going to bed. Happy babbling, and *poof*
(Thank you, Lickety!)
i just dreamed that lisa bonet (denise, cosby show) was appearing on oprah because she had multiple personality disorder and the two personalities had found a way to occupy the same body AT THE SAME TIME. the left half looked like her, and the right half was the other, a guy. when lisa talked, only the left side of the mouth moved, etc, and vice versa. they had slo mo footage so you could better observe the truth of these phenomena. anyway, the two personalities had fallen in love and were looking for a state that would allow them to marry.
ah hurshy...u sure have weird dreams!
you dreamed who was where? o.0
hi crys! :o)
that's the weirdest i have ever had. i'm now too amused to fall back asleep. i wish my imagination was this good when i am awake.
hi dfm
i thought i might start this board earlier than the last few
dfm i hope you are joking
okay, I'm joking about the latter half. Not the former though.
the cosby show was a sitcom in the late 80's - early 90's in the US - surely you've heard of bill cosby? this was an actress who played one of his daughters on the show.
crossy claims that I have been living sealed in a cave somewhere in Siberia or something since 1859. I cannot contest that claim.
crossy claims that I have been living sealed in a cave somewhere in Siberia or something since 1859. I cannot contest that claim.
lol
Hello, hurshy .... do you think politicians have DID since they so often speak from both sides of their mouths?
drey is a perfectly good English word - it means a squirrel's nest. Huh.
good one BR :)
yeah, scouser, I entered that countless times.
well, actually, it was countable. Eight times.
Hi hurshy - how do I get a little union jack on my screen? ta
grodier is not accepted
you have to pay to be a "pro" member, and then tell it that you live in great britain (which in my case is merely wish fulfillment).
thanks hurshy
brabble, i am struck with awe.
I hope it does not leave a bruise.
aw, doesn't leave bruises
Are the students on break?
no, it's reading period
there's a bit of confusion here I think. I put in edge and edger and it has put them both against the E in row 4 place 3, but you cannot do edger from there.
no, it has them from row 3.
it hasn't got any words in 4, 3.
and you must be new. try not to put words in the chat. we refer to such things as ed5 and ed6
Yes well it tells me I still have two to from row 5, I am getting edgy!
3 ed and 4 ei from there.
I will have to go for now. Byee
oops, was i too harsh?
No, not at all.
ok.
well, let's see if i can get back to sleep now. good to see you brabble! ttfn all.
Good luck, hurshy
good morning
good morning all
{{sprite}} are you fluless?
flu- and clueless, lol. Yes, thank you, no more fever and getting some of my energy back even. How are you?
I just wrote a long (and boring) weather report in the wrong box.
lol
it is pretty bad here as well. I even took the kids to school by car today, it is that bad.
at least the snow is gone!
not here, yet. At this moment we have snow, hail and ... hey I do not know that word. When the world glazes over all of a sudden.
ice storm?
oder
no... wait, I will look it up.
whoops, sorry, river but not a word.....
diot is a sausage!!
hm, seems to be a dutch thing. To freeze over, to ice over... glazed frost, graze ice.
glazed ice
you know, when you go into a cinema and the streets are clean, and you come out and everything is covered in an incredibly slippery layer of ice.
if diot is a sausage, then what is idiot?
Sheet ice
id5 is a word in the grid.... Good morning/evening all.
someone who eats it, as it's awful!
sheet ice? Ok, thanks Haz! My dictionary doesnt have that, I will add it.
hi haz
Hello! It's still freezing here as well.
lol @ rubyfoo, good one
it is crazy weather. But apt for the season.
hi {{ruby}}, haz, sprite! :o)
hello dfmchfhf
Hello, dfm.
{{dfm}}
yet another grid that refuses to flow for me. Is it tricky?
I was finding it okay at first.
hm ok, then I ne4 to kick my brain awake more.
Japanaese sticky bean, na***, not a word. but miso and tofu are....why?
because enable is very partial
and is a very picky eater (no rosti or diot either)
the peculiarities of enable are part of the fun of babble
off for a second breakfast!
see you later
lol I haven't even had my first one
enjoy, rubyfoo
Enable doesn't like drey (squrrel house) or grodier either. :o(
must be from a different shtetl! lol
I should go to bed. Eventually.
eventually, we all should
*smug* I greyed out the upper row.
I knew you'd pick up the pace eventually.
I could feel your trust in me
Experience.
:)
one of the first babblets I learned is in today. The female serf.
catching up on Corrie - gosh it's good
hello Katie
Hello, Katie.
hello everyone :-)
hi katie! :o)
I am off to get some breakfast etc. See you later all.
See you later, sprite.
have a nice morning sprite :o)
some of the acting in corrie has been fantastic
It's strange to have no moments of light relief at all. The only amusing thing is trying to work out how Stape is going to get rid of Charlotte.
I'm just really impressed with the quality of it
I was going to say that it's changed from Ena Sharples' time, but apparently they've always had disasters.
And speaking of disasters, did you see Apprentice last night?
no I haven't watch any of it, was it good?
I'm beginning to think Lord Sugar has lost his mind. He let one of the best candidates go in favour of someone who announced that he wasn't a one trick pony, he had a field of ponies just waiting to run towards the prize.
noooooo you would need to sack him just for that
How many words today please
Exactly! He's rude, obnoxious, conceited and bad at most of what he attempts. I've got no idea why he's still there except for Lord Sugar's mind going.
140 words, gran.
Thanks
You're welcome.
Morning all. Is the grid friend or foe today?
Good morning, FM. It's not too bad at all.
Hi FM not sure yet
Hi FM! :o)
Still snowy Haz? and what about where you are Katie? Hi dfm.
just icy and cold here, though it did try and snow again this morning
The snow has not diminished at all, still very cold although we've been promised a rise in temperature today.
any rise in temp from -10 has to be good news.
Our neighbour has just got back from a fortnight working in Cairo where temps were late 30s. A wee bit of a shock to the system to come home to this!
Oh ho I bet!!! Hope the house was all OK and no burst pipes etc.
Mum & Dad landed at 5.30am this morning, it was a joy to pick them up form the airport lol
lol Katie, I could have done that for you as a cold call co tried to fax my phone at 4am this morning so I was awake.
Oh that is so annoying!
No, his family were all still at home so the house wasn't empty.
Where had they been Katie?
Dominican Republic, I tried to let them know how much warmer it was today
*not jealous at all*
they were having none of it
I saw you were both talking about Corrie earlier - quite a week isn't it and what a story line.
There have been so many storylines all building towards this week.
Oh poor Ashley
I've just caught up!
It'll save him having to move to France...
I know!! but when is someone going to find Rita?
you knew he was a gonna as soon as claire made that phone call
It puts you off working in a sweetie shop.
4 funerals and a wedding. So far thats Ashley and Charlotte so there are still 2 more to go
See if she hadn't wanted the chocolate she would have been fine
I don't see how they're going to have a wedding.
yeah might be a death bed one
The only way will be to convert the hospital ward and have a death-bed wedding.
I knew he was going as there was something in the press a while back. Perhaps it will be one of those last min one in hospital.
Bye bye Peter, in that case.
lol great minds and all that.
So, that's three accounted for (if you include mad Charlotte). It's a toss-up between Sunita and Molly for the last. I choose Molly since she's leaving the programme anyway, but who knows?
I'm thinking molly is going to confess to Sally and then die
I don't think Charlotte counts
I'm sure she does FM
That would set the cat among the pigeons. No tea for Kevin for a month.
Oh what happened to Jack's pigeons, (train of thought)?
Did Tyrone get to keep them?
they moved to the country with him and are being looked after by that random blonde woman who was a pigeon fancier that he lived with
ah.
even Jack knew that Tyrone was not capable of looking after pigeons (let alone a baby)
Maybe they started plotting the storyline way back then. 'How do we make sure the pigeons are out of the line of fire?'
I am giggling away here about what lurking babblers must be thinking of our conversation.
I'm concerned about the ginger cat
That baby in the rubble is a doll, isn't it? One of those animatronic ones, although the way Molly threw the real baby about, I always had my heart in my mouth.
That baby in the rubble is a doll, isn't it? One of those animatronic ones, although the way Molly threw the real baby about, I always had my heart in my mouth.
Sorry for the echo echo echo
it was very realistic at one point but yes def a doll
I am now watching the final of I'm a celebrity.. I'm very behind
I decided to give that a miss this series.
and just couldn't get into The Apprentice either this time.
I haven't watched it for a long time, although you do hear snippets in papers etc.
oh I say ... blue sky and sunshine!!
The Apprentice always throws up the most random assortment of bigheads.
How about Strictly Come Dancing? Anyone watch that?
Again, snippets and what I can glean from the papers.
lurking in this chog is a hoot!!!!
Hi
hello herrin
Hello
Hi herin and ruby!
hello, how many words today please?
glad we are entertaining you ruby :)
Hello, herin and ruby. I thought you'd not have a clue what we're talking about.
140 words.
unless you live in a very colorful neighborhood, you must be talking about a soap?
140 sami
I have a clue
thanks
it is better than TV (which is BTW, still out because of the snow(
Yes, a soap which has been going for 50 years and which is having a huge disaster to celebrate.
LOL!!! that is brill re the colourful neighbourhood - but you surmised correctly.
50 years!
I think Coronation Street now hold the world record for the longest running soap.
Yes, indeed. There's one actor who has been in it the whole time, right from the first episode.
and he now uses a walker?
half!
I am blaming Haz and Katie for the fact that I haven't entered a single word into the grid yet.
No, he still looks remarkably fresh for his years and even had the umpteenth affair a couple of years ago. As his mother in law said 'an actress who lived on a tug-boat' - actually a barge but it was a trilliant moment.
Even a brilliant one (where did trilliant come from?)
if I can offer some modest help.....raofl!
trilliant must be a portmanteau for many-brilliant
you were getting carried away?
imagine me helping FM....too funny
((ruby))
herin you still here? I hear congrats are due for the new job!
I didn't hear. Congrats, herrin, that is wonderful!
1 moment
ruby are you still snow bound?
no, it melted on Tuesday, but still no satellite and mail is screwy
husband is ed***r than usual
Yes. I have a JOB> Starting next year
Sorry had to ring the gas company
that is very good news, herin
yay herin, well done!
Going to take a quick break. Katie is obviously spellbound with 'I need panto work, I'll do anything'. Bye for now!
Thank you. I had forgot that I hadn't been on here when you were about. Very busy week
Bye for now HAz
bye for now, must make poor husband an apero!
Loves Ruby.
Thanks everyone.
loves herin!
bye haz, bye FM, and I'll give you all my trilliant words after lunch including the re6 and 7!
lol TTFN ruby
you realize that I've now been playing this for a year and I'm still not much better?
Don't you love trying to pay for a bill and teh bank wont let you
how come herin?
15 Dec is your anniversary ruby :)
No idea with the bank.
pain in the butt then b:(
I must go have to make a couple of phone calls, TTFN and congrats again herin.
Thanks and enjoy
Herin, have you had much rain there?
Yes we have
us too, we are in Queanbeyan, hope you haven't had too much flooding
No flooding here
You ok there?
Morning all....not the kindest grid I see.
Hi Red
hello Herin. Sorry it is still wet where you are. Too much at the same time ehh?
I am going to bounce
It is still wet but not too much
thats good then.
Ok
Ok bounce away!
I am going to go watch true blood. Can't think and watch
enjoy!
I take it that Lickety has an extra word in his list - am I correct
Hi Gran - there are 91 words in this grid (haven't checked what Lickety has yet)
Hello all
Hello, Lynxxx
there are 140 words today.
Don't know what grid you are doing lynxx but there are 140 words.
Hello Zooz.
Hey zooz!
Hello, FM :-)
Oh jeez - Soooorrrry Gran!
maybe you have 91more to find :-)
How are you doing over there zooz, hope you are warm and snug.
thanks FM - I forgot I was here at the flip (finishing yesterdays) and had a few already
It is slowly warming up here, we did have 4 inches of snow for a couple of days then the rain washed it all away :-)
Is it still bad where you are, FM?
Greetings lynxxx :)
I must say I had forgotten how horrid flip-time is
Most of the foot of snow has gone but it is still v icy however they say it could go up to =6 over the weekend.
Flip time is 6:00am here.
=6 ?
Flip time is strange these days isn't it lynxxx.
Not good then, FM :-(
+6
People are just too frantic about getting and calling words - nutso
Haz was reporting -10 as day time temps yesterday and still lots of snow.
6 degrees? or is that inches of snow
It does get very manic, i have tried it a couple of times, but decided i would leave it to the professionals..lol
it is about 2c here at the moment.
Oh I wish I could string a coherent scentence together Lynxx - that is +6 tem wise which means things will thaw out but then the big freeze is due back next week.
seems like Santa WILL need a sled to get to you all.....hope it won't be like this ALL your Winter though - we shall have to come over and chip away at the ice to get you out
lol
perhaps we should all come over to your neck of the woods for the winter :)
bring your flippers though - lots of flooding over here - but other wise all hot and steamy
Katie was saying earlier that her parents have just flown back from the Dominican Republic, bit of a shock to the system on their return.
hope no flooding where you are then , Lynxxx.
we could go scuba diving!
Got my snorkel ready :-)
Probably not. I live in a flood prone area - very close to a canal which is a natural creek course emptying into the Bay. It used to flood up to about 25 years ago but they have done quite a bit of work to it so probably ok
Wrong state - think you need to go up to Qld for that
..but you could pop down here afterwards!
Qld = Queensland
Qld did translate but my Aussie geography obviously needs improving.
As there is still blue skies and sunshine I think I had better bid adieu and got and do stuff/run errands. TTFN.
I am bottom right, just above Tasmania - Queensland is top right. Barrier Reef is just off to the right of Queensland
Nice to see you, FM, Bye for now.
bye FM, enjoy it while you can
Ok half way, time for a cuppa.
I'd better finish for the night...bye Zooz
Nice to see you, Lynxxx, Take care.
Hi zooz. Coming on very late for me. Yeah! Temperature is above freezing for first time for ages.
Hi, Sally!..sorry for the delay, was making a cuppa ;-)
Yes it is warming up here too.
Yes, I realised after I posted my message :-)
Although i have heard that it might be getting very cold again in a few days time :-(
:-(
good morning from the snowy frozen north minus 16 with wind chill of minus 21 and another foot of snow last night!
Hi crossy. Always have to go one better!
Seriously, are you keeping warm yourselves?
Makes it sound like it is summer here, Crossy..lol
lol,we are fine as long as the power stays on..this is what we do:)))
I don't think we know what winter is :-)
If power goes off, do you have log burners or alternative heating?
no,you do not..not even close lol even this pales from when we lived further north when i was young
yes,we have alternate heat sources indeed
i have a kerosine radiant heater for emergencies
1 quart of kerosine provides 16 hours heat, tis a nifty thing
We have a fantastic log burner, and are well stocked up with logs. Keep it in all the time when it's below freezing.
up at the cottage we used to have a small wood stove, used to love it,but it is the type of heat that when you come in after working outside all day sit in front of it and eat some soup or stew first thing you do is fall asleep lol
I have crappy economy 7 heaters, which makes it hot in the morning & cold at night, but when it is below freezing, the house does not go above 15c, so have a halogen heater too.
lol crossy, well that's not so bad. Ours seems to keep the whole house cosy, in addition to the underfloor heating we have.
Log fires must be wonderful.
oooo radiant floor heating...nice
nothing like a log fire...
oh what i would do for under floor heating.
We had a log fire initially when we built this house crossy, but realised that it wasn't efficient when we had a period with no other heating. So we had a proper log burner installed which is brilliant.
The underfloor heating is run off an oil-fired boiler :-( and has warm water running through the pipes. It doesn't feel hot to the touch unless you leave clothing or a cushion on the floor, then when you pick them up they feel warm.
if you are talking about a central log furnace, yes they are nice for larger places
{{yawn....}} morning!
howdy car
Hello, Car :-)
Has anyone got all the Ds? I have now resorted to lickety and see there is a de 7 and de8 and just cannot see them. Any hints anyone?
one who makes godly and plural
TY Kate!
Hello, Kateq :-)
thank you kate! Couldn't make that fit.
morning all
Morning!
congratulations to all my babble buddies who have joined our folding at home club! we have now reached 100,000 work units!! yaaaa! i have a certificate for any who wish one
Hooray!
It is coming along nicley , Crossy, good to see lots of people doing folding.
clue for the bottom row E for NBT, please?
only about 25 active members so far.my goal was 100 babblers, but i think they got tired of listening to me.i keep all the info in my profile for those that want it
crossy is ea*** to get members, leave out the A
TY Sally!...and Crossy!
That was for car.
phantom: edify
Ty Kate. The de's gave me the ae8. Going to the dentist through the flipping ice and I was ready to forget Babble for today but will log back in when I return.
TY Patxxx!
good luck at the dentist, Patxxx :-)
Good luck and be careful on the ice!
You can think of the grid to take your mind off the dentist Patxxx
It's the cost not the examination that scares me!
This is a very twisty grid today...again!
they have all been twisty of late
i have 23 more to find & yet only have one compund word.
compound*
lol,temp dropped a tad is now minus 18 !
that is 0 f for my american friends
that is cold..who needs freezers :-)
brb
better than my freezer..needs no hydro;)
morning friends. show of hands please: who else gleefully tried "jedi?"
Oh no..LOL..i must admit..i did.
hahaha, love your icon, Trif.
no embarrassment, zooz, we wave our freak flags HIGH
Morning everyone. *Raising hand to Trif's question*
Hello, Molly :-)
Hey Zoom
Fireworks for me.
If I had THOUGHT of it, I'd have typed it!
"jedi" trier here too, hi Babblers
huzzooooo for zooz!
Hello, Champfit & Aloy :-)
Hi and wtg on the fireworks!
congrats, zooz!
the ne7/40 was a new word to me.
remembered that one from past grids, surprisingly
Clue?
similar to the or6 that pops up
any clue for the gr7? and the de7 and de8?
if you put someone on a pedestal and worship them as a god, Ouwachita, you have de7 and 8
ne7 DEF= what they called black people.
GOTCHA! ty
thanks aloyisius...got them
oops, zooz.. I was referring to ne6, can't count, lol
:-)
wtg, Ouw..
there is no gr 7
140 words today then?
nere
Sorry...it's early!
yes 140
oh common babble! jedi is so to a word!! use the forks luke.... lol
howdy crossy
ok time for me to go, take care, ALL :-)
lol crossy dear
howdy aloy
bye, zooz.. hagd!
Back just in time to wave bye to zooz!
howdy trif:))
hey there crossy
and aloy
crossy is doing a nice 4 cheese lasagne today;)))
ooh, I like the fi7.52, woof.. a dalmation is in the grid
we are counting down the hours til puppy pick up tomorrow
and then, I suppose, "puppy pick up" will be a daily event, lol!
yummm... hi to Sally and Trif
exciting, Trif.. what breed of puppy?
muttville, aloy. rescue dog from a southern rescue. only type of dogs I have ever owned. mutts, mutts and more mutts. just love em!
love 'em too
this one looks like a lab/shepherd mix, would be my best guess, but could be half martian, and I would love him anywya
good choice trif!!:))) rescue puppies rock!
What my Dad used to call Heinz (57 varieties). Don't know if this will translate!
Cross...mozzerlla, provolone, ricotta and ???
translates perfectly sally, we have that phrase too
lol sally we call them heinz 57,s as well
this being NEW England, and all
do you have a name picked out yet, Trif?
cheddar of course!:)
You never know what will draw a blank look from over the water!
Cheddar? In lasagna? Never would have thought of that.
we even have whats-this-here sauce sally lol
the kids named him Bowie, after my secret boyfriend. so kind of them! we are all pretty excited. finally, something to be happy about!
must not be much of a "secret"
happy for you all! Bowie is a great name
it is to david bowie, esprit
Iman wil kick your azz
ground control to major pup...
lol
NO KIDDING, right?
;-p
torgone calls it "pupragette city"
So Trif, how many times have you watched "Labyrinth"?
so when i am on here in a week, totally sleep deprived and cursing the day that pup was whelped, remind me how excited we were, kk?
thousands, molly, thousands
crossy watches labarynth even though bowies get ups and his inflated self make me laff
You remind of the babe!
the kids dragged me to see Band Slam, and then, OH THE JOY when you-know-who pops up in the end, and they didn't know either, and suddenly that movie was GREAT
look forward to a pic of Bowie, Trif
see, to me, that is the secret of great movie making, right there. put David in at random times, like Hitchcock used to, and every movie becomes the greatest movie ever made. it's simple, really
so, gr7 is the extra in Lickety's list
I met him once. and immediately forgot the basics of grammar, how to form words, all speech functions. so that was a classy moment for me
wowow Trif.. how did you get to meet him?
crossy runs from the bowie love fest.... lol
i am your basic stalker, aloy.
LOL Trif!
and crossy, feel fr4 to add in your stories of whitney houston, sophia loren, cate blanchett, whoever flips your bacon. outside of mrs crossy of course
lol
in the 70,s i lsitened to ccr, pink floyd, stampeders, boston, eric clapton and santanna
mornin babblers!
tho i must admit, mrs crossy strikes me as the type that would waste no time removing your bacon if she found it flipping elsewhere
journey
and fair crack to her!
morning eva
nobody flips my bacon like my elegant;)
*Passing the electric blanket to Eva*
aww, perfect reply, crossy
rock on, oh spatula queen!
morning Mrs eva;)
ooh, cozy and warm, thanks molly! i shall be careful to switch it off when im not at my desk -- thats what set my moms friends house on fire the other day. :(
a balmy minus 18 here.good day for skinny dipping
An electric blanket? Horrors.
yikes eva! everyone okay?
untended electric bankies are a horror when left on and forgotten
trif, yes, everyone is fine. house took a lot of damage, though.
secondo left her hair iron on again all day. it now lives somewhere she will never, ever find it.
Trif, it doesn't have an automatic shut off? You should get her one that does.
molly, yup, an electric blanket. my mother always told me never to sleep with those left on. i never listened, but now i will!
apparently not, molly. damn the luck
Me either. I get nervous using a heating pad.
i have a heating pad at home. had to get it when i was having muscle spasms in my neck. when i get cold enough, i pull that thing out.
but, alas, we finally turned our heat on last night... no need for a heating pad!
I get around leaving things on by unplugging them instead of switching them off. And I don't leave hair curling tools out on the vanity, so they have to get unplugged to be put under the sink.
i have 2 old fashioned hot water bottles for the mrs..they never go up in flames:) though a old one split whilt filling and gave one of our kitties a inpromtu bath;0
I haven't seen a hot water bottle since I was six.
crossy -- we used hot water bottles at my grandmothers house in england. loved them, til you woke up in the morning with veritable ice cube on your feet!
lol,i keep several around during the winter
hi all
mmmmm do love the hot water bottle we have. mind you, it does get cold in the morning
hi Boobear!
We have hot water bottles. Love them! I don't like electric blankets cos they are too warm all over.
howdy boo
ahh a nice ye5= bread rising agent
well, shiver me timbers, fireworks! anyone need a clue before I scoot?
yaa for aloy!!
No thanks Aloy, down to last 12, but congrats!
go, Sally, go
Hagd, everyone.. see you next grid.. congrats on the puppy, Trif.. am so happy for you all.. ciao for now
bye Aloy
i am shuffling off as well. love to all
bye Trifioso
clue for de 7 please
Someone who makes someone a god, boo, and plural
makes a god?
puts on a pedestal and worships
Hope you got it - have go go now!
good morning all

eg4 and 5
ty
yw :-)

Thanks- that was for NBT anyway. But I have to go to work.
don't have it, boo -- are you staying warm in the midst of the deep freeze??
it is in the 50's here
Good morning Babblers :)
oh, got it!
Hi Nono
was reading back and saw all the talk about elec. blankets etc.
like re7/44 but change final consonant
off to feed pups -- BRB
I once had an electric blanket start to smolder in the middle of the night while we were sleeping under it!
The DaVinci Code focused on a group called Opus ***. Those three letters start the de 7 and 8. One who makes godly and plural.
Nono! That must have been scary.
it was Molly! I smelled it and looked all over the house and here it was right on top of me! once i found it I doused it with water and had to change the bed etc.
threw away all the elect. blanket controls right then and there!
Damn, it's a good thing you didn't electrocute yourself.
it was a new blanket too, had not been used more than a couple of weeks
going looking for a new icon, think I need something Christmasy
just updated mine :-)
Une! So cute!
she's one of my 3 rescue sweeties
found one! It's still my Missy but one of her favorite places at Christmas time
aawww, so cute, nono!! (looks like she's hiding like ET in the closet LOL)
she loves being under the tree
don't we all!
Had a cat years ago that was like that too, but had to be very careful not to put candy canes anywhere near the bottom of the tree
He loved peppermint and would snatch one off the tree if he could reach it
aaahhh, yes -- at mi casa, we are veeery careful about leaving any tidbits within canine reach! LOL
catnip canes . . .. hmmm
lol Une, catnip never enticed him he wanted peppermint!
:-D
he once unzipped a friends purse cause she had some peppermint gun in it
must run -- good to see you, nono -- HAGD! *poof*
too funny! LOL
bye Une, take care!
ok, quick funny -- friend just sent this to me and it is truly hilarious: http://tinyurl.com/23dkzvk
good morning all
hi wvt!
Une, thanks for sharing that!
hi, teach, and bye -- really poofing now!
Morning all...I hate this grid!
Morning Sea
Nono are you having snow?
no Sea we're not
not in the snowbelt luckily
Syracuse and Buffalo both have been hit hard
Oh, good for you..We had snow last winter like they are having now...4 feet...poor dog didn't know what was going on lol
we havent been hit by a storm of that magnitude since 1993
at that time we lived just around the corner from the city highway dept. but it was 3 days before we got plowed out
I am hoping that was our one bad winter for the next decade or so....lol on the hwy dept...it figures doesn't it?
Must go do some shopping as I am barely started..dread going out in the cold...was in the teens this morning have a great day
yep, they would go strait out of the compound and to the main streets in the city instead of making a turn and doing our little two block street LOL
bye bye Sea, hope you find some bargains
Now that would be nice!
hi all
Hi jmc, hows your day kicking off?
pretty well just go back from the gym
many comments on my new hairdo
wtg! and what have you had done to hair?
i get it cut every two years whether it ne**s it or not
lol - how short did you go?
i always tell the hairstylist they can do whatever they want but that I will not come back for 2 years
its about 2 inches above my shoulders in kind of a page poy
*boy
AND he "highlighted" it
first guy to ever believe me
good, v smart. What news on the job front?
the interview on monday went well
oh fingers crossed then :)
i have applied for a different job that would also send me to philly
looked at houses in Philly
good luck all round in that case.
*sigh* i just wish i could find an ideal job in DC or overseas
Philly really does not appeal to me
ah yes, the if only game. Many is the time I have played that one.
help with the bottom E stats please?
yeah well i keep looking for a job here and overseas. there may be some contract work overseas i could do
but if i am to be a professional quaker to quaker mecca i must go
eg4/6 and pl.
ty that makes nbt
:)
I'm just plodding along with the grid. Typing in d words for the top d and hadn't noticed I had already greyed it. Doh!
lol
Time to put the kettle on to make tea and defrost the birdbath, TTFN.
well i think i will toddle off early to work

morning all! does anyoe have a clue for the y 6/27 lease?
no y5 here i thought my 2 y5's were pretty good!lol!
i meant y6
Sounds like the past tense of taking a nursing baby off the nipple.
thanks Molly
i got it too-thanks molly!
clue for re6/24 anyone?
re 6/24 / re 7/40 (past tense) combo - if you break a promise
To go back on a deal grant and you can make it into a 7 too.
thanks for the y clue Molly.
Got 'em. Thanks for the clues.
clue for the E in the bottom row for NBT?
hi everyone.
eg4/6 and pl
Laughing at your Maxine icon as usual, keep 'em coming :)
t,FM
hi all
love your icon, lbd!! if only it were so :)
helllooooo, help with the 8's pls
yeas
de 7/8 combo is the maker of a God and plural. ae 8 is an extension of the ae5 and ae 6 bird nest word.
strange. for an email at 10:59 from my manager that read "meeting in 2" i have no meeting on my calendar, so i emailed her back asking for more info. no response. also texted her with no response. i walked around to all the usual meeting rooms, no manager, and she isnt at her desk. ::shrug::
ty Molly will look
I hate ae words!!
I have ae5 and 6 cannot see the ae8
and not seeing the de8 either :(
ae8 (cryptic) A gassy new rife idea
ty but cryptic cluess go right over my head
hello, Im back and out of the cold
and hi all :o)
AE* has the same first 4 letters as the 5-6. then i really like *r*** chicken.
Eva, did the manager mean 2 min or at 2 o'clockj?
hello dfm
"new" is a cryptic keyword, peri if you look it up it'll probably help
hi annie :o)
i dont know, peri. if she meant 2:00, i figure she would have sent an appointment, but she didnt. not much else i can do, so i will ask her when i see her...
got the ae8 ty
me too - ty
thanks Eva for ae 8
YW, YW, YW :)
Eva, to me, "in two" means "in two minutes".
me too, molly. thats why i walked around to try to find her... but to no avail.
that was my original thought too, Molly
52 left, bbl
maybe "in two hours"? o.0
or "in two days", or possibly two years, or decades, but then that's just being silly.
again, if she meant in 2 hours, i figure she would have sent an appt... or at least put more detail in her email...
maybe she meant "in two seconds" and you missed it! :oO (seriously, that happened to me once.)
im not too worried, as we have a lotta down-time right now, and she is fairly laid-back. im more curious than anything.
hello again, 84 this AM
hi ruby!
ruby, did you get my email? I got a curious message from my computer so do not know if email was received by you?
hi {{ruby}}! :o)
I haven't checked my mail today, annie, but did you get my endless mail two days ago?
curiouser and curiouser
{{dfm}}

ae 8 ae plus part of being very afraid

Do you have the je6/36 + alt.sp. je5/22 that is a Muslim game javelin?

and Yes on the jevelin but no real help unless I leave to google it
Alternate spelling of Donna's last name on that ne6 clue.
je+1950s actress Donna ****
tytyty! never even went close!
hi molly you frozen yet
now all I need is the 5/22 - monkeying is NOT working
Pronounce the 2.je6/36 and try to find another way to spell it.
ty dfm
Hi JMC. I'm ready for 40 degree temperatures this weekend.
me too i don't want to freeze while looking at trees
howdy everyone back from digging the car out yet again:/
0F here today (-18c)
ty - got it - firewords
((((cross)))) I was lurking...
YAY hoot!
hey all
hi crossy! :o)
yaa for hoot!
clue for the second fi5/18
howdy dfm
howdy stidmama
but I wouldn't of pronounced that the same way....
hi stid
fi - scot lake?
or bay?
scot lake?
hiya crossie
The fi is usually a fj.
oh..that
When I think of the time I wasted on that gr!!!!!!!
I thought the fi was a Norwegian lake. *Peeking around corner to see where Stid is lurking*
and unlike me usually hanging here I have to go move stuff to make room for tree. We tried very hard to convince ourselves no go artifical because this place is smaller than the last one, but the tree won.....
no, it's actually an inlet with very steep sides (usually)
now there was a sight, wife is in the bathroom ,going #2..is deathly afraid of spiders and a big jumbo spider was sauntering along the edge of the tub, heading her way to say hello:))))
CROSS!!!! T.M.I. *stern mama look*
ok - learn something new every day here
later hoot.
hi all
get over it stid, people have been going to the bathroom for a long time now:))
yep bye
hey ardilla how are you feeling now???
bye hoot
much better; just took my physical fitness exam and did well
less
*sterner mama look* *folds arms* *gets grumpy*
good ardilla -- don't overdo things too soon though!
*coughing a lot less
now they will leave me in peace for 6 months
mellow out stiddie
wtg ardilla
Agreeing with Stid on the TMI.
*passes out warm pumpkin bread and mai tais
Hey Ardilla. Glad to hear you're feeling better.
bye hoot! Hi stid, ardilla! :o)
oo looks lovely ard!
helping with a buttito sale tomorrow morning
*burrito
mmm punkin bread....
hi dfm and ty jmc
ty molly
Oh no, I like buttito better. It's a sale of tiny butts. : D
not sure how pumpkin bread fits in with burritos
I'd like to exchange my Butt for a tiny butt please. Hello!
also, TMI? :o\
*Gets in the exchange line behind Red*
hi red! :o)
dfm, I feel so popular...
breakfast burritos
hi rth
gasp! dfm! you said butt!
Would exchange bad hip, but okay with all over lumpy bumpy body parts...
I did?
Hey, I said butt first. : P
Hi Ardilla!!!! I had no idea Spanish people ate things like Breakfast Burritos.
they want to be butts of a joke?
Hi stidmama
oh, it's for americans where i work
ahhh.
not sure any spanish made any pre-orders
they will like them if they try them, I imagine.
most of the spaniards i've seen eat toast w/ marmalade and coffee
LOL sounds very European to me ardilla!
sounds very American as well....
yeah, i started eating my eggs and ham on toast
having tea and toast with apple jelly myself atm;)
American always (to me) meant eggs, bacon, toast, fruit... and coffee. Black. No sugar. (cream is for wimps). I am not much of an American breakfast eater...
or sausage instead of bacon.
mmmm. apple jelly....
guess i'm a wimp :P
I always think og a bowl of cereal and cold milk as an American breakfast....
home made?
interesting.
just has two eggs, toast with butter and honey for breakfast.
mmmm...baaacccccoooonnnn
of course
clue for fi 7 please
me, I can't stand plain coffee. too sour. but I love flavored lattes!
wants to go to Mixi's home.
come over here i will make you a reak breakfast...
sits next to boo for clue
real
not sure I want a reak breakky..
<-- just has a cup of tea. :o/
scrambled eggs w/ cheese, bacon, toast, pancakes/french toast, and oj
watching your Butt DFM?
rofl... reak breal?
good start ardilia
*puts on twenty pounds just from ardilla's description*
no coffee. never had a cup.
real..real...real breakfast
fi7 hold logs in place in a ... hearth.
and no butts;)
hoping for the fi 7 clue...
*points to boo's request for fi 7*
oh! thanks dfm!
fi7 also sounds like a canine trained for rescue in burning buildings.
combo word fi + woof woof.
my kids' doc has a poster "butts are gross" and shows the rear ends of all kinds of animals...
<-- doesn't eat breakfast, never feel like eating in the morning...
thanks also mixi!
ty mixi.. funny word
never had a cup of black coffee...i like my froo froo starbucks white choco mocha w/ a shot of irish cream
thanks.
ty dfm and mixi
did you-all know that starbuck's doesn't have almond flavor any more???? *very disgruntled mama look*
ardilla dunkin donuts coffee is great too
REALLY???
I try to avoid starbucks. it tastes funny burnt to me.
bad dfm, brekkies is the most important meal of the day
sadly no real starbucks here
I can't order anything but black coffee in Starbucks. Everything else they sell takes twenty minutes to pronounce.
no dunkin donuts either
but you have spaniards...
oh boy. my internet is being dodgy
eating within three hours of waking up is just ... so... weird.
Ardilla, you are so deprived. Poor baby.
we no longer use coffee shops as my fav little brother shops me coffee from Costa Rica:) mostly for the mrs as i am more a tea drinker
so my choices are cafe con leche or macciato, both require a lot of sugar to be drinkable...brews very richly here
its the first thing I do after the dog makes me walk him...
gee cross, that's a nice little brother!
I think it was living in Puerto Rico that got my parents more comfortable with leche in cafe... LOL they brew it strong there, too!
he is indeed, i have various shade, mtn grown and volcanic grown blends
nice cross..
and i do prefer my teas, english breakfast, lemon zinger, hibiscus, orange clove, chamomile, sleepy time, mint medley
"pre-roasted" cross? LOL
with honey and some cream sometimes
I prefer loose-leaf teas...
we have a couple local roasters. The problem I have is that sometimes they burn a batch and then fold it in to the other batches. I think they believe people won't notice.
indeed stidmama, but i grind it here
the hibiscus is loose leaf; i finally found a diffuser so i can make it
all single plantation stuff do it seems to have deep essances from the envoronment
I have a small grinder, when I want coffee at home I use a little melitta cone. I have a very small (2 cup) drip machine, but like melitta better
hi everyone :)
diffuser? :o/
hi nan! :o)
howdy cybernan
a tea ball, methinks dfm
hey nan!
ae 8, please?
i have my grammy,s silver tea ball;)
and the orange clove is what i learn from my mom...hot water, fresh orange, and cloves
hi nan
teaball=diffuser
a8 (cryptic) A gassy new rife idea
I like hte sound of the orange clove, ardilla
still trying that clue dfm?
saw that last night, dfm and didn't get it
it looks like a glass tea pot with a metal strainer that you plunge to steep the tea
teaball? at least I can google that without finding unrelated things, probably :o\
she would make it on cold nights or when i had an upset stomach
a metal ball with holes which holds the loose tea in the hot water dfm
I'll have to look for something like that ardilla -- the diffuser
methinks dfm has had a much too sheltered life
ooh, those things... I just let the leaves in the tea :o/
i think tupperware makes one
available in all the tea stores
when i use the real china tea that slowly uncurls i just put the tea in the hotwater
but when i use the floor sweepings that most tea in US and England I don't like getting it in my teeth
does anyone have a clue for the ae 8 that isn't cryptic?
"floor sweepings" hehe
ginger tisane is best thing for an upset tummy
lol jmc, that is the leaves that fall off the good bales and get stuck in the conveyor rollers
I really like watching "Holmes on Homes" I love seeing the nice things he does for people. Restores some of my optimism for the species!
pt of making something like an eagle nest
ahh, gotta love when i have a string of leftovers that i actually enjoy eating! afternoon babblers!
hey EvaN!
holmes seems like a jerk to me
howdy again eva:))
hi evan
ae8 def: gassy anagram of: rife idea Does that help?
hi EvaN! :o)
he is a bit of a jerk, but give me a jerk who knows what he knows when my place needs doing anytime
thanks dfm. that worked!
yes -- and someone who doesn't pretend something is okay because it would be difficult to fix it.
todays leftovers were homemade sloppy joes, made with ground turkey. :)
woot...got it
hi eva
ty dfm
turkey joes?
ty dfm
brb...mai tai time
soemthing like that, crossy!
later ardilla!
all afternoon, ive been singing in my head "schloppy joe, schlop-schloppy joe -- i made m extra schlopps for yas!"
so.... what is the other 8 please?
de 7-8 combo, please?
DE8 -- plural of the DE7. one who makes another into a god...
de8/60 + de7/44 Ones who exalt to godhood
ok got the godly one
thanks
thanks *thinking*
got them!
de8 is a plural of the 7
Eva, the lunch lady was very funny.
Turkey joes???? They call them something weird out west too.
molly, i cant have sloppy joes without thinking of her. :)
ive never heard of them called anything different... but call them what you want -- theyre yummy. :)
for those who miss snow, here is a nice shot taken in my town yesterday afternoon BEFORE the 8 inches we got last night:)) http://www.theweathernetwork.com/your_ weather/details/620/3561659/3/caon0158 /plpcities/
Taverns. They call them taverns out west.
if i have a tavern in front of me,the barkeep better be filling my shot glass;))
wow cross, that's impressive!
holy snowstorm, crossy!
i thought that was where you go to drink
it is indeed
tavern is a bar, Molly...
aww crossy, that doesn't look as snowed in as it sounds!
nice and christmassy
add 8 more inches to that dfm
back east tavern (at least in virginia 30 years ago) was a restaurant that also sold drinks
Look up sloppy joe in wiki. There are several ways people refer to them and tavern is one of them. PEOPLE! I know a tavern is a bar. PLEASE!
lol molly
lol molly
What confuses me is what do they say out west? I'm going to the tavern for a tavern?
it's okay Molly -- just I live "out west" and never heard a sloppy joe called a tavern!
which doesn't preclude it happening... LOL since I don't go to bars of any kind!
molly, apparently here in MD we also call them Steamers. *ive* never heard that -- have you?
vive la differance!
Wiki says it's particular to Iowa and Minnesota.
No Eva. Steamer are clams.
Steamers
oh -- well that explains it! *grin* never been to those places!
last je 6, please?
subs, submarine sammiches, gyros, grinders, hoagies you say i say ketchup you say katsup...lol
i can go into Starbucks + order a steamer... thats steamed milk...
rearrange the two middle letters of the other je 6 nan
but a donair is a beautiful thing....sigh....
catsup? *grin*
Just don't say catsoup. Too many cat lovers around here.
catch-up? hehe
mmm cat soup
ty stid
cats-up!
where? *looks up*
worchester sauce or whats-this-here sauce lol
WAY up, jmc. :)
my dog tried to have cat soup this morning. I am SO upset with him.
bad puppy
mmmm... cat soup...
you forgot po'boy
Wooster Sauce. It's pronounced wooster. That's straight from a very British friend of mine.
I pulled him off before he could hurt the critter. but must figure out some options since he can't go around attacking the neighbor's pets.
worchester as in the town i was told
I think we might need to invest in a kennel for when he must be outside for "business"
i had a WONDERFUL oyster po'boy when i went to N'Orle'ns for a wedding
what breed of cat would one use to make cat soup?
yes,if he hurts kitty, you pay the vet bills
or visa versa if kitty hurts puppy, they pay..we are not allowed to let our critters roam at large
Awwww, you guys are going to get in so much trouble if one of those cat loving types shows up.
I think there'd be different types of cat soup, EvaN...
we have 2 cats molly....
it will be difficult to reprogram one of the kids to not let him out without being right there.
hmmmm havana brown sounds more like marijuana
hey, im a cat-loving type. but i can still joke. :)
we are rural, no leash-laws here. nor fence laws.
He was okay until a few months ago -- I think he is wandering because I am gone too much.
you could make pasta cat soup with a samoli
sounds like some killer weed there jmc...lol when we were younger and foolish we had some weed we called dobermann, because the dog aye my friends stash..walking behind the dog for the afternoon..waiting for the baggy....
spicy cat soup with a thai
ate
mulli-cat-awny?
how much should it cost? Would kitten soup be a luxury version of cat soup? :oO
good idea evan
LOL EvaN!
are just the ears in a soup an aphrodisiac?
ei 5/12 following the ducks?
same as the ei 5/12 yesetrday I think nan. ei + spanish 2

hello again
((ruby))
hi {{ruby}}!
evening ruby
does any one of you computer literates know if there is some way of retrieving something from Yahoo which you deleted instead of sent?
hello ardilla
rossy}}
hi again, clue for the de7?
{{dfm}}
yeah, but it involves hacking into the Yahoo servers...
yahoo?? did not know people still used yahoo:/ sorry ruby
i can't even get yahoo to load :(
I wrote a long letter on Tuesday and must have hit delete instead of send -- very frustrating
:P --->crossy
:)
sometimes yahoo saves drafts but they are usually deleted when you delete the original
oh, NOW it wants to load...figures
I'm going to blow myself up -- only kidding
a little catsoup for ya -- mulliCATawny! http://www.joe-ks.com/ar chives_may2001/CatSoup.jpg
i use gmail for real life stuff and open office for drafting letters that way i always have a back up..but i think you letter is gone ruby:(
*puts on kevlar jacket*
don't blow yourself up, ruby :o( It'll be a mess to clean up...
that's true
small mess, though
i use hotmail for commercial emails (stores, real estate) gmail for big pictures and yahoo for day to day
any hint for the bottom e?
yes but YOU will have made the mess and won't be around to clean it up! unfair!
clue for ge 6
re; what we were talking bout yesterday, get out your old fountain pen and write it up real nice in longhand you will feel much better
I thought yahoo was the easiest, but I have no idea what I did
eg4/6 and pl
E@(3,5) eg4/6 + eg5/14
thank you, the monkeys found them
*giggle* i love it when you speak mathmatics
then you will not have to blow yerself up
I think it's a seduction technique!
no dfm is too young for me
who's speaking mathematics? :o\
anyone? clue for de7?
loves dfm!
de7/44 + pl. de8/60 Ones who exalt to godhood
a person who makes another person a god lbd
one who makes a god, ibd
then pl for the 8
all you need to know or remember about numbers is but a single number that is the answer to life, the universe and everything.....
0
and that is.......
42
is that 42? or 47? something like that...
??
*singing* so long and thanks for all the fish / so sad that it has come to this...
are you leaving us dfm?
crossy hums along....
how many words, crossy?
no, don't think so... yet... Didn't even get my share of fish.
ty, jmc. i tried that 3 times and they wouldn't go.
Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy!
i never read hitchhiker... but i know im close. :)
lol ruby,i have been multi tasking,i have but made a small dent in yon grid
yay FM! :o)
indeed ((FM))
done
yay ibd!
Loved the book and the series :)
congrats lbd!
clue for gr 7 please
woot lbd
Congrats lbd!
i have the book in e-book format, have not read it for years, but i think i shall tackle it after my current read
ty ty ty, the last three nearly did me in.
we tried to warn you
ruby - I knowit won't help you now but for the future if I am doing a long email I always type it in word first an save it then copy the text into the email.
<-- liked DG HDA more than HHGG... but that did not prevent him from having read HHGG five times so far!
gr7, more icky?
what is real hard is to get james herriot stuff.no one let the books go till they have read to tatters...
very good idea, FM, I didn't even know I had erased it until today, 2 days later
must go make lunch for hubs, bbl
There is no gr7.
I tried gr7 (more icky) and it didn't work :(
no wonder!
... speaking of lunch, someone forgot to eat again... :o/
if you have eaten breakfast....
there is on lickety
there is a GR 7 in licketys and it does work in the grid but grid wont accept it
but Babble over rides Lickety.
Whatever Dr_g's grid says for the word count is it.
we must take babble along with all of its idiosyncrocies(sp)
Due to his v old version of Enable.
I give up with 95. Good night everybody, see you tomorrow
Night ruby.
night {{ruby}}! Don't blow up when you're not here, either :o(
{{FM}}
gn ((ruby)) and no blowing yourself up
bye ruby...i only have 18
yes, but you've had tapas etc, ardilla, you lucky!!!
I have the g's done so I guess there was no gr7
not to worry
what I find most weird is that the grid rejects drey = squirrel's nest. :o/ and that word has been in use for a long time...
watched scott pilgrim versus the world...interesting
... and when Likcety doesn't pick up on the fact his list has an extra word in it his programme wont run so be ready for no list tomorrrow.
got a ne7
it doesn't run? :oS weird.
ardilla -- we just watched that movie too... didnt know what to make of it at first, but i think i really like it!
interesting FM how did you figure that out?
hmm, I should really resupplement my stomach with something to digest.
and go get some lunch too
wow, dfm. never heard it put that way before
Lickety came on one day and told us - he has to go back into the prog and do something then it runs again.
really liked megamind though
well maybe someone could email him when it happens
dfm has a tendency to forget to eat...
<-- likes to say things in roundabout or weird ways... yesterday it was "consume items of caloric and nutritional value". ;o)
i didn't remember to eat when i was in college and law school but remember ALL the time now
there are a few people that do jmc but it is dependent on him bein around and his work schedule.
*bobbles belly bulge*
my stomach's too noisy for me to forget; it will remind me quite urgently :)
understood FM
here is one for you dfm..a involuntary personal protein spill lol
crossy is getting gross again
lol ardilla, are you feeling better now?
may i have a clue for the de/8 please
crossy slinks away....
much better; coughing a lot less now
lol poor crossy
Oh good, glad to hear that!
*tosses crossy some bacon while he sits in the corner
de7/8 person who makes another person a god and pl
Whilst we are talking about Dr_G I would like to request a +150 word grid for tomorrow with nice words in it, just to save me getting any more grey hairs for a while.
ty jmc
yw
you want a large but not too difficult grid?
i wonder if Dr G takes requests
thank you jmcnrick
yes, just for a change - this weeks have been too twirly and curly.
yw jtdp and hello
that they have FM
hi jtdp
does anyone else out there do the count the tile values to find words - that is what has driven me nuts this week, counting and counting and argh!!
lol fm,i asked Dr-g for a secondary grid for us to play with while waiting for the flip.i would be a 10x10 grid with 2-5000 words and flip monthly lol!
O
M
G
loool
I didn't realise you were a sadist crossy!
you mean when you are using lickety's list FM -- yes it makes all the difference for me
something to keep gremilnn busy
ok Fmitch..we see you know your letters..lol
no, can't be a sadist, he'd be subjecting it to himself too.
erm, *himself to it >.>
i actually think it is a good idea crossy
:))
yes, and then "quattrocentos" won't seem that epic any more ;o)
that would be a sado-masochist
Talking of Gremlin - haven't seen him for a while.
not even at flip?
who's gremlin?
amazingly fast player
i try not to hang around at the flip.it depresses me watching those people finish a grid in 14 minutes...
LOL suddenly has a pic in my head of crossy tied down and being beaten with an e-book that is a 5000 word grid
*makes a note to tie crossy down and carry him into the chog near babble midnight*
i think it is fun sometimes -- there isa lot of energy
Gremlin is one of our babblers
lol fm
and there is a different attitude at that time
in fact there are about 3 or 4 subcultures in babbleland
Good Lord people. What have I missed while working? FM is visualizing Cross tied down and being beaten? Eek!
wife got a good one off last night, was looking for my reader and of course it was right under my nose, she pick it up and taps me on the head with it and says "this beating has been brought to you by the letter Q and the number 7" lool
welcome back molly
at least he wasn't buck nekkid in the vision
Gremlin and dart and Volley storm through the grids at the flip as do some others.
if i had been neeked,i would of had to charge you a quarter jmc;)
lol corssy
Q and 7? o.0

Hi Molly - it is all crossy's fault - honestly.

Good Lord Cross. 8 ounces in a single breath. That's lethal.

*wonders what is on crossy's bocket list*
bocket...a bucket that fits in your pocket

LOl
yw ard it took me a while the first time too
I thought it was crossy's drinking vessel for German lager.
no no i cannot be a good boss if i am gaffawing in my office while they work
Hello Everyone :)
hi sadie
Which would be confusing, as I'm pretty sure champagne is not German, nor a lager.
Hi Sadie
hi sadie! :o)
hi sadie
correctomundo on both counts dfm
hiya Boo dfm and ardilla :)
:-(
*Sneaks into PB to get the second case of champagne*
slhoot im sorry hiya jmc :)
Tell them you are correcting some dreadful spelling mistakes or something jmc.
*covers third case with a blanket*
babbling dealing with dogs and chatting not a good combo for me rofl
*smacks Molly* put that back.
Oh good grief!

lol FM alas all my staff knows about my dreadful addiction to babble
*finally
I have been over 50 for years!
this is realy very addicting

i agree sadie
and I used to like ardilla.
dfm is not over 20 yet
30 seems a long time ago.
*dives into the jacuzzi full of champers*

mai tai is too sweet for me

ty dfm and fm
boo i am afraid that is not enough champagne for this crowd
Wow! There is enough champagne to fill the Jacuzzi? Bring it on!
i like the sweet cocktails and sweet wine
what goes into a mai tai
doh - keep looking in the wrong direction thanks all
ok Molly
might as well get in since evans has already destroyed that champagne for drinking
hi kazz and boo
rum, Curaçao liqueur, and lime juice
hi ardilla
*make note to self to buy more cases of champers and hide them this time*
there were hot tubs full of pink champagne every day back in the Anj + Lola days...
lol
well, i kinda cheat when i make them...use lt rum and a mai tai mixer
*checks underneath blanket to make sure case is safe from evan and molly*
*Makes note to secretly follow FM around*
oh EvaN how could you forget the custard jaccuzi days?
*dives under blanket*
FM, refer to my statement about champers jacuzzis. you could forget about anything!
for some reason, christina aguilera's what a girl wants is stuck in my head
Aparently Lola got married this year.
*smacks evan under blanket and grabs case of champagne*
i saw that, FM
and i FELT that, jmc! *ouchie*
who's lola?
Tsk, play nicely you two!
well keep your jacuzzi pouring mitts off the champagne!
give me champers = yummy yummy yummy
lola is a babblers from back in the day...
anyone who wants to drink it can have some
i pour champers NOT into the jaccuzi. champers gets poured into muh mouth!
Lola was a babbler that joined about the same time I did, some 5 years ago now!!!
*send eva and jmc to separate corners with choclit
i will pass on the choclit but ty
it will be 5 years in jan for me
dont fancy sitting in a jacuzzi of it - you would get all sticky! had champers on my 50th - lovely
then you can have champagne evan but no more pouring it into the jacuzzi it drives the cabana boys wild when they have to clean it up
i just passed my 6-year mark!
I just missed my 2 year anniversary
29 years in August....
jmc, dear, i wouldnt waste it by pouring it out... but if i happen to see a jaccuzi full of it, i cant help but to jump in!
cabana boys...exactly what i want for christmas :)
It is very interesting how many babbler have been around for so long. No wonder bonds and friendships (even if virtual) have built up.
send the gifts to..... :)
hi jeff
29 years of babble?
hi jeff
well then who filled up the jacuzzi?
actually, next year is 30....married that is
morning afternoon or nite all
i had to check my profile to see when i joined
congrats jeff
jmc -- its been filled for years. i think the cabana boys must be the ones refreshing it...
and my one claim to fame was - when Dr_G was building this site I suggested he put the sign up date in the "my account" details.
i cant remember when i joined
ah well depending on how you look at it May 19 will be my 27th anniversary
ty
well i think that was a brilliant idea FM
kazzer -- it is in your profile. upper-right corner :)
should be on your profile, kaz
kazz you joined jan3 2007
wow fm good idea
so you know dr g personally?
i was thinking of emailing him today to tell him how helpful i have found his giftbox
until i clicked on your profile, kaz, i thought your icon was a present with a lopsided bow
aarh - i have found it - 4 years in January
No, there were less babblers in those days and he opened the new site as a beta test and asked for ideas.
no its death dressed as the Hog Father
Hog Father? *knows she shouldn't ask*
well it was brilliant of you
(however it was fewer) *shades of haz*
:-D
but there is one babbler that knows Dr_G v well as she was his primary school teacher but I am darned if I can remember her name.
Terry Pratchett book called the Hog Father - equivalet of Santa but has pigs to pull his sleigh - he gets kidnapped and Death takes over leading to much hilarity
really, interesting

thank you all for the fun and chit chat.
Was thinking back to the old beta site. It was MrP who got Dr_G to put the fi4works animation in and Likckety was doing a project or course at work that make him write his programme.
Gosh, I remember that FM. Started playing in 2005 (or maybe before) and we didn't have lists or fireworks then.
I'm wondering how lickety's is so fast... my script takes six minutes to find all the words... and that's only because I throw out all words over 15 letters...
Eva, I'm up at 5AM during the week.
Oh, and of course we had to walk 3 miles through snow to get to the game board...
huh, 6AM is approximately my bedtime...
lol ch, good to see you - remember when Brandy Jack listed for us on BabAnon?
there is only one 5:00 in my day. :)
BrandyJack! I miss him. And his sailor hat icon too, wasn't it?
*brings shawls and rocking chairs for CH and FM*
(squeak, creak)
(Sings to JMC) City girls just seem to find out early, how to open doors with just a smile...
Yup that thats the man ch and his icon live on in one of my silly flikr pics.
This new crop of younguns seems nice too, though. :)
JMC...u've been on my mind all day
yup there are some goodns about :)
hi carlee! :o)
are we all strolling down memory lane today?
why car?
Hi carlee we have had a great diverse conversation as always.
Hi and bye carleekat -- I'll be back later.
well..i made brandy balls instead of bourbon or rum....but u've just been on my brain all day
hi bye ch
Sorry, I was called away to help my dtr. She had carpel tunnel surgery yesterday, DH had a colonoscopy this AM. Don't you guys wish you were me? :-)
everything ok????
Whoa. Nef is on double nurse duty.
hows things FM?
It isn't enough to be a nurse at work; gotta do it at home too today
poor nef
i really ne** to get on to those bourbon balls
maybe tonight
bourbon balls?
are you asking me if everything is OK?
Fed up carlee but can't complain.

JMC the recipe on fb....i am having trouble staying away from the fridge now
i love cream puffs...cream puffs hate me....the pastry..it is the ONE thing i have difficulty making..i follow recipe exactly the same way every time..and 50% of the time i end up with hockey pucks for pastry ( i use scarlet's recipe....she calls it fool proof)
you guys all so so much more at home in the kitchen than I ever have been!
everything is fine ty for asking. I use the vanilla wafer and cocoa powder recipe from James Beard -- no there was a man who knew how to eat
and we are back to food porn...wheres crossy
FM why are you fed up?
are these sweeties then
probably drooling as I think he has already dug the car out :)
JMC...just take a bitty gander at this recipe...it is sim to my mums...seriously...like biting into a bitty ball of fudge...
yes they are too sweet for me but I have been making them for decades at christmas
i will check it out car
crossy might be drunkenly making cat soup.
kazzer..my recipe..u start with a batch of fudge brownies... let them cool....crumble....add 1 cup of ground pecans...then mix in 1/2 cup brandy...
yum car
i noticed the conversation earlier about cat soup
shape into 1 inch balls then roll in course sugar
actually sounds better than mine
ohhhh tht sounds real good
i may have to change my recipe!
its all on my profile on fb JMC..and dead easy...
sadie too
or whomever else is interested
i use vanilla wafer crumbled to dust, caro syrup, bourbon and cocoa powder mixed, rolled into 1 inch or so balls and dusted with powder sugar
i posted a pic as well
carleek, are we friends on fb?
of course the down side with yours is that i would have to actually cook the fudge brownies
no idea nef... my nic here..with a hotmail.com u'll find me
that sounds wicked - i will go and make some and give them to folks in work
that sounds wicked - i will go and make some and give them to folks in work
its easy JMC....bakes in less then 10 mins on a cookie sheet
i will have to stroll through my babble list to find this
wait you bake them after you do all that?
no
my bourbon balls are strictly no bake
u bake the brownies.... cool..crumble...add pecans and rum/ bourbon/ brandy
gee everyone is on fb lol
in lieu of the cookies...use brownies
and i double the bourbon
oh okay
lol very happy eaters there
*Molly applauds double bourbon in anything*
i forgot the nuts in my recipe but they are there too
you know they are bourbon balls when i open the box!
i am also making a balck forest trifle - chopped up choc brownies in black cheery jelly with choco custard and baileys creme
u can tell these brandy..i open the fridge and..yummmmm
goodness kazz!
is british jelly the same as US jelly?
i cant use fruit in trifle cos my sons hates fruit
ahh, reminds me of a professor in college who used to bring us whiskey cake at the last class of every semester. :)
no i think you cal it jello
oooh..black forest trifle....
see if you came to my open house molly you would get a taste of my bourbon balls
cubes of stuff you melt in hot water and hope it resets
i wondered kazz i thought it was something like that
gelatin then--but we get it in powder form
oh man im glad ive already been to the store today ....one gains weight just reading in here
hehe... happy jelly? ;oP
no - we have flavoured lumps of it
lol
so you cut up the brownies and drop them in the mostly set jelly and then what?
Tell me sadie, I swear I have put on 5 pounds in the last 15 mins!
realy and im getting ready to search facebook for recipes....someone said its on their facebook lol
food porn
food porn
uh huh rofl
cut up the brownies, make the jlly in a jug pour it over the brownies leave to cool, next stage make choclate custard or cheat and buy it ready made. Whisk baileys irish cream liqueur into double cream spread over top of custard and then cover in grated chocolate
the brandy balls on mine sadie...carleekat@hotmail.com
lol carlee you are just trying to entice crossy out :))
i like reading it since i don't do sugar (unless it is fermented)
yum kazz
so do the brownies soak up the jelly?
its a christmas treat -
ty carlee
i would use instant pudding (your custard)
ohhhhh Kazz I wsa already with you on that recipe but with the mention of Baileys and the rest I give you 10/10
yes a little bit - i tend to stir it gently when its still warm to get rid of air bubbles and hope that the sponge eiher doesnt all sink or float on he top
are we already friends sadie?
i make a tiramisu much like your black forest trifle
what is a double cream spread?
instant puding is not custard!
is that like whipped cream?
lol snob!
no i dont think we are carlee
;-)
i was gonna do friend request when i get on ther later
LOL we have so many words in common but also so many differences
food is where i get the most confused FM
double cream is tick pouring cream that will thicken if you whisk it
double cream is about 70% fat....whipping cream is 45
heavy cream or whipping cream is what that is called here
do you whisk it or just pour it on?
lol yes jmc, I was just thinking the same as food and food names vary a great deal between the continents.
ok i sent the request carlee ty
I bet carleek is suddenly getting tons of friend requests on FB!
rofl i bet you are right Nef
( to get same consistency here if u cant find dble cream.... make your whipped cream..add sour cream..and just a smidgen of vanilla to kill the "sour" from the sour cream )
Ata would be able to transalate for us.
actually..no am not :(
i think car is doing a good job
mine is ameret00@hotmail.com
its very indulgent but its only xmas once a year, You whisk it so that it just about holds its shape - what i like about it is that you can get the jelly ready and done the night before and then do the custard and cream xmas morning - specially as i am not cooking the main course
i am already your friend car
i just sent you a request, carlee :)
Well, *I* just sent a friend request. Doesn't that count as "tons"?
sounds delightful kazz maybe i will make it for my familiy
methinks carlee gonna be busy accepting requests a bit lol
there....replied to all....go to my profile..u'll find recipe :)
*busily writes notes*
Depends on how much data weighs, nef
ty carlee lol
I really must stop watching TV and babble chog at the same time - Honestly read jmc's last post as: *bustily writes notes*

Hello lynxxx!
hi lynxxx. How are you today?
hi lyn! :o)
hi FM, this is an unusual time for you
I know but the chat has been such fun
**coming out of lurking now that the private conversation is over** :) hi all
Hello lynxxx
Hi Nef & dfm. I am very well, nothing to do today except what I want
hi cos! :o)
Hello Cosdem
hi Cos
recipe swapping etc is private chat?
lol
hi lynxx and cosd
i suppose not.. but i didnt wanna interupt the chog
cosd is clearly very shy!
hi jmc. How did the interview go?
cos - all babblers are always welcome.
i certainly wasnt shy last night at the bar
I think it went well
i did better with the search committee than the staff
I was just going to say Cos obviously isn't forward - but maybe I won't say that after that last comment
and i got my hair cut to a page boy on saturday right before!
we had xmas lunch for work today - went to a local hotel it was excellent
:-) and i didnt lose my wallet this time
good job cosd!
jmc, how long was your hair before you cut it?
so when will they make up their minds jmc?
i would give you the blow by blow lynxxx but then no one would ever get to talk again
my hair reached my proverbial arse
now it is inches above my shoulders
I'm interested in how things went too, jmc.
perhaps sometime this week but i hope later because i have applied for a different job that i would like better and don't want to have to choose too soon
Wow! I bet that feels very different!. Do you like it?
well they asked about my spiritual life (it is a quaker job) and had me do a role play with squabbling staff
i think it is cute-- i get my hair cut about every 2 years and tell the stylist to do what they want and this was the first one that did
Were you expecting something like that
the role playing that is
they asked me about my supervision style and could i fi** people and I told them about firing my best friend once
no the role play was a surprise
they said: are you still friends? and i said yes she st**ed at my house while i was in Kenya
jmc - I get mine trimmed now about every 8 weeks and treat myself to a wash and blow at the hairdresser too. Had long hair for ever but got it chopped off about 4 years ago - best decision I made.
the staff asked me my vision for the org and i said you had to be part of the org for at least a year before you can have a true vision -- but my general one was to make it welcoming to all Friends
Good, an answer for everything, And what is the other job you fancy?
i just hate people messing with my head and the cost doesn't help
another quaker job that would have me traveling throughout the Americas
but my spanish sucks
i surprised the staff when they asked if i had a question and i asked what was the value added of having a boss
Sounds fun - if you like travelling.
i love to travel lynxxx
clue for the ae8?
jmc, it shows that you like to travel

love that movie!
the other possibility if neither of these pan out is to do overseas consulting work
<===full of ideas if not jobs
overseas consulting! - that's the best one
*puts out welcoming flags for jmc* if any oportunities come up.
maybe i could come downunder!
or across the pond!

holiday indeed... but a cold one. bummer there.
Oh oh late on the uptake, by elYnnxxx.
well down to 63 and I keep seeing FROST.
wow
this grid sucks! lol
Can't find gr7. Any clue?
Kenny - I don't think it really exists. I can't find it in any dictionaries.
grodier (the gr in Lickety's) is not in babble's version of Enable.
The gr7 is an extra on Lickety's list that does not qualify in the grid.
Thanks...thought I was losing it. kept putting it in and getting nothing.
I found the gr7 in morewords
I hate it when that happens. I feel like I should be entitled to a refund of the minutes wasted looking for the damn word.
I agree Judi. Love your icon.
clue for the de7?
Those who will not obey.
Oh, wait. Scratch that. It's those who make Godly.
*Note to self...put glasses on*
Huzzah. Fi/4 works!
Hooray, hooray for Judi!
I prefer to worship those who make fudge.

bake? your icon is related to baking?
yes.
decontructed recipe
Look closer JMC. It's butter and eggs and a cup of flour, etc.
sticks of butter and eggs
but what is the white thing on the left?
i like the other better, i can't identify every ingredient in this one
I think that's sugar tabs.
not to mention the beige square and triangle
i get the spices and salt and milk
geez
Brown sugar tabs. The blob is milk and I think I see candy chips, butterscotch and chocolate.
sorry don't mean to seem critical just curious
have no idea what a sugar tab is
Kind of like a sugar cube, only triangles.
oh never saw one
refresh
i can get it in the small but not the large. i will look at it when i get home TO
it's from a new ikea cookbook

hmm,my local giant discontinued my favorite mama rosie's products.:(
i ate the last one from the freeer today
bummer they always seem to get rid of anything i like
these are very good and natural to boot
i had manicotti stuffed with spinach and cheese.
*Sigh* They seem to get rid of the good stuff and keep the junk. You won't see them discontinuing Hungry Man dinners anytime soon.
hungryman = disgusting. if i had only a 1.00 and had to choose between hungryman or ramen.. id go with ramen
i'd starve
lol
lol i would eat the ramen too
I'm not much on frozen dinners of any kind.
i once lived off a box of instant grits for a week
ramen is much better
i have a few i keep onhand. alway marie callendar turkey. i;ve used it to diet
ramen is loaded with salt. i hate salt
The woman I work with eats Smart Ones Italian frozen meals for lunch and they all smell like puke.
lol jmc last feb the only thng i had was instant oatmeal for a week.. i got so sick of it
you don't have to add the "flavoring" TO
I'd take the hungryman (whatever that is), I have too much instant ramen anyway. :oP hi all :o)
they put so much pepper and basil in to sub for salt
i feel that way about instant grits
wb dfm
I
and we learned while preparing meals for shut ins that pepper intensifies when frozen
hungryman is made from ro7
I'd rather boil up some spaghetti, add some butter, garlic powder and Parmesan than have Ramen.
aglio olio is divine
i do that a lot molly..
can sneak in broccoli too
now cosd
ramen = spaghetti
6 left.. all Y's

well i don't do pepper of any kind. can add red pepper flakes if you must. and broccoli.
but not authentic
i will -- i may even regret wearing sandals today
actually, can make milk free primavera. but i like my mom's simple recipe
. . . .nah
I like garlic, but in things, not just as a meal.
*poof*
bye jmc!
lol je, our office took 2nd place in office decorating contest- did "groovy 60's". i was a hippe
well this is in oil over spaghetti, is that enough?
What is it with hippies and their aversion to socks? I have a hippie friend in Minnesota and he never wears socks. Even in sub-zero temperatures.
Oh yeah TO, over pasta that would be good.
i don't know. i was plastic, i guess
uh oh...
Hello (((Crossy))) (((Jmc)))
Owl, molly, dfm, cos, and who I missed. Happy Holidays to all of you.:)))))))
hi heron!
whaat! Did I scare everyone away?
Hi Blue. I'm checking in and out as I do my nightly chores.
I don't even have my mask on.....my real face....lol
I just read about your move. Sounds exciting.
hello Owl and Molly
Yes Molly, we are in our new home and enjoying the fact we have neighbors, sidewalks to walk on, Pizza delivered to our house, sunshine every day....We are home.
Oh wow, that sounds wonderful. Good for the both of you.
very nice!
Thank-you both:)
The Pizza is only a perk....we won't rely on that. We are explorers...only 15 minutes to walk to downtown.
I think if I lived that close to town and the beach I would happily give up my car.
We gave up my car for the move. But we really don't need two cars here. It will take awhile to get adjusted to this new life style...we're making progress:)
It's so nice to see the sun everyday. I don't care if it's 20 outside.
anyone here?
sort of.

Weird song lyrics from the 1960's Lil. Before your time. ae 8 is ae plus the back end of a word that means scared. As in that movie ter****** me.
haha! before my time.... you're so funny
molly i am older than you
Now that is funny. I would have pegged you as 20 years younger than me. Whee!
hehe
my 54th bday is coming up in a few weeks, Dec 30
Well then, we must have a Party!
oh yes!
until then, how about a lcue for de7?
de7 is one who makes someone a god
de7 is one who exalts to godhood.
ty Helena
anyone have the fi7?
Curiously, that word is a semordnilap. ;o)
OK thanks
i see bones..
semordnilap??
and it means something almost opposite. :o/
fi7 is a stand you might put in a ... hearth.
are we talking about the fi7?
oh, thanks
If I told you what it were it'ld be too easy, helena ;o) the semordnilap is with regards to de7. <
the fi7 also curiously sounds like a canine trained in rescue from burning buildings.
ha, i got the fi7 by looking at my orange cat and thinking of your hearth clue ;-)
are we atlking alan sherman?
Also. < semordnilaP < if you don't get that, then just ignore it <.<
I see hips, and fourteen paper clips. Yes TO.
:D
I don't get it :o/
google it
we musn't make it too easy for you dfmch
yeah, I know, you have to get revenge for all those horrible clues I give, some way or another...
except I hate to see revenge ever needed on this site
hello bugs
Hi TO
clues and revenge? is there also Chocolate?
Googling doesn't help :o\ still confused about what molly is talking about concerning paper clip
I have lots of chocolate red. Need some good dark pieces to suck on? I like the Zen chocolate technique
can i have a clue for an ne 7 (i have 2 left)? I have the one that deals with Africa.
Do we ever run out of chocolate in here, red?
I have to admit I hate dark chocolate.
helena extend the n4 before your n7.
poop, that's what i thought i should do
A Google search on "I see hips and fourteen paper clips" leads to an entire page about Allan Sherman.
I could use the African clue?
red - it's an antiquated term for people of African descent
hmm, a search about "hips and fourteen paper clips", on the other hand, doesn't.
Think of the "n word" red and end it with the robot suffix.
oooh I found it.
thank you all...
now can I have 54 more clues...
You can, I guess :o/
ooh, now i only have 1 ne7 left!
54 *helpful* clues, on the other hand, may be difficult by which to come.
i have 7 left, red, i'll clue you if i can!
helena did you find the people, or the comparative adjective?
both, i think there's one more, right?
just cleared the n's
nope, just 3 ne7s.
de 7 44 clue please??
i have only the poorer ne7
de7/44 ones who exalt to godhood
thanks df
I must go make a cake. bbl
actually I just realized the Orlando Magic are playing in Portland Oregon and the game is not on until 10:30 pm our time , so I am going to get to bed, lots of driving tomorrow.
are there three ne7?
see you all and have a greant night...
can I have some after you're done making it? :oD
night red!
yes TO, 3 ne7
can anyone clue the fi 5/18 that does not mean let go from a job?
bye red
There are two more, helena: one is usually spelt with a fj, the other is multiple dogs.
thanks
oh, i have the dogs
didn't see that one in my list
thanks for the fj word!
need clues for the other ne7
oops, have them all now
well missing one, have pooer and those who are poor
7/40 ... a fifties word for a like a black
ty
clue for re7/44?
sorry, was distracted.
Try looking at your de7 again, but this time possibly in a mirror. Or more arabic.
Alternatively, re7 = to make concrete
a term used in bidding games....or to go back on one's word re 7/44
sorry... that was 7/40
hi everyone... just popping in for a few minutes... stuff in the oven
hi all, time for my babbling!
hi diane, gwen! :o)
thanks, dfm!
does anyone have the gr7?
grrrrrrr.... no ;)
ge7 is plural of ge6 ... no gr
hi dfm :-) Hi Helena , Gwen and lil* :-)
slang grodier, not the word!
gr 7 means nasty like gr*** to the max
no i said GR 7, not ge7
There is no gr7.
there is no gr7
I got 140 words with no gr ..
there is in my list
top row done, woo hoo
so an error on the list, dfm ?
i guess an error on the list, then
ae 8?
the gr7 is a word that you CAN find in the grid, but the grid won't accept it
as in grodier.... tried it several times :-)
indeed, diane (and hello!)
very popular slang when i was growing up
clue for ri6?
much more recent than my growing up years !!
ae 8?
another accepted word in the grid but not in Babble is "drey". :o(
haven't got that one yet, sorry bichon
ae8 (cryptic) A gassy new rife idea
Occasionally, Lickety's list includes a word that Enable (what guides the grid) does not accept. It helps to compare the total on the front page, with Lickety's total. If there is a discrepancy (like today...Lickety 141...front page 140) there is one word too many on Lickety's list.
ae8 is tricky.... do you have ae5? i can clue from there
and yesterday.... "odas" an often used word in crossword puzzles
I got it, ty all
ae8 = the first 4 letters of ae5 + Kentucky *r*** Chicken
from my clue? :oO
anyone have the ri6?
ri6/21 smiling
ri6, sames as a mouse or rat, change the first vowel
hey all -- eating and babbling (and making a mess of both as usual)
yours was a perfect anagram dfm.... nice clue
got the ae8, TY helena!
thanks, BDG! FIREWORKS!!

Oh look, there's Stid. Hi Stid. : P
YAY Helena!

i'm missing three Js and i'm stuck. grrrrr
Hi, I am sure I missed it, but what is the extra word on Lickety tonight?
gr7, car
car - it's the GR7
CAR!!! *hugs and hugs* how are you? how are the munchkins?
Ty.
is the gr 7 not there?
Stid...this morning? How did what go?
Hello Babblers
How is Babbleland tonight.
Hey all. I am having a rough day. Just a few more hours and it will be over.
Hi wht.
you know, how I riled up cross with being prudish and all... *sigh*
hey wht!
hi wht
hi car, wht! :o)
oh car... sorry to hear that (((gentle hugs)))
Ty stid.
hi car. :-) hi wht, and sammys :-)
Oh that. It went fine. You weren't being prudish. TMI is TMI and hearing about someone doing their business on the toilet is TMI. I stood beside you sista.
hi and what's tmi?
and Hi Molly !
finished the eyes
Sending some more gentle hugs to Car Ee.
oohh, nevermind, i have it
Too Much Information!
thanks molly *feels better*
go gwen go!
Can I have a clue for the fr6?
down to 17 here... perhaps I should list. *squints at grid*
hi welki :-)
hi welki! :o)
where you keep eggs and milk wht
hey welki
ty Stid
rifts
fr6, place to keep your milk
i have 37 left and have lost interest in the grid. i need veta-vita-vegemin :)
go mrs t! LOL
stid beat me by a mile . . .
oh, I'm so sorry, my fingers slipped. I'll go to the pb!
*puts more choclits in PB*
I have marmite welki, if you want some of that?
If there's choclits in the pb, I"ll never leave!
Hi Mrs. T.! :o)
not vegemite (or marmite), stid ... the potion lucy sold in an old i love lucy episode *lol*
oh! *grin* I don't remember that episode... must have missed the reruns
Hello, everyone! I'll try to get my fingers to behave!
I've given birth to, and raised three male children. I know how to call TMI when it's played.
corners are done, woot
if your fingers will clue the last S I need, will add fudge to the PB...
Vitameatavegimen!!!
ooh, fudge!
*hiccup* yes, molly
go gwen go!!!
It's so tasty too!
oooo, fudge! But I'm fraid I don't have that one.
*grin* isn't it funny, molly -- how much we mothers put up with, and don't really freak out with (boo-boos, sicknesses, random gross kid stuff) and then we draw the line at a few words. BUT -- rightly so, methinks!
LOL ... love that episode! (my fave is the one in which they wear feedbags as hats in paris, then the bread one, then, then, then, then......)
let me list, and I will ask properly for needed cluements... brb
Welki...then....SPEED IT UP A LITTLE! The candy making episode.
and the one in the rented cottage near the train tracks
and .. jean valjean valjean
loved them all :)
Me too Welki. I Love Lucy was one of the most classic shows ever on television.
off to veg without babble. puzzle's got nothing for me tonight .. g'night folks
later welki (((hugs))) sweet dreams!
last JE 5 please?
may i share the worst joke i've heard all day?
The je5/22 word ends with a Freudian term stidmama
thanks Min! welcome to the grid!
got it right away!
down to 9 now
please gwen...
Go stidmama go!
can use a smile!
Good evening to my fellow babblers! How is everyone?
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
okay, here goes: how many farmville players does it take to change a lightbulb?
Ns nixed!
I don't know Gwen, how many
oh oh... *waits for punchline*
Nice stidmama!
Answer: only one, but first you must place 15 buildings on your farm, plant 36 trees, harvest 2000 strawberries, collect 18 bushels of asparagus, sell 25 casseroles, upgrade 5 vehicles, eat 56 triple-berry pies, drink 60 gallons of cider, decorate 20 buildings, go in the blimp and get the coffee cup, then you can click on the lightbulb to earn 50 coins and 10 XP!
rofl gwen!
How many computer programmers does it take to change a lightbulb?
(o know this one but won't steal your glory, wht)
*waits for wht's punchline*
je6 please? (not the past tense of taunt)
None, it's a hardware problem.
*hint: once you get him OFF farmville....*
o=i (oy)
hey monkey!
anagram taunt, monkey
Hi minv! :o)
thanks stidlicious!
*Gasp* how very true, wht! *chuckle chortle choke...*
How come grid does not accept grodier? It is a word!
done with the Js, thank goodness
So now I ne4 a clue for the last ne6 for fireworks.
The grid does not accept drey either, minv.
je + a water plant (re4)
Lickety will take it, Min.
ne6 = ne + do over + freudian word (2 letters)
How many software designers does it take to change a lightbulb?
i have the entire edge done except for two Gs, grrrrrr
I know, but Babble will not. It is an extra word on list.
Rs rocketed! down to FIVE.
dfm, wht just told that one!
three....
Race to the finish line stidmama!
go gwen!!!
no, wht asked about programmers, not software designers ;o)
go wht go!!!
two -- how many left for you Min?
J's Jousted! 10 left
we programmers and software designers are two completely different types of people!
go Min go!!! I will wait for you. back in a couple...
That ne6/21 word also ends in the Freudian term wht
(software isn't programs?) (head falls off)
Does anyone have a clue for the ne 7/40 word please?
The popularity of Farmville gives me deep seated concerns.
software designer, and computer programmer, are two very different jobs.
ne7, i got what you ne4, superlative
ty Gwen. I had a phone call, but now I have fireworks.
how different, explain, i wanna learn something new today (seriously)
oops, that's the wrong ne7, never mind
Never mind! I just found the ne7/40 word. Thank you
The ne7, 40 is pertaining to dark skinned people.
wtg wht !!!! !!!! !!!!
*wonders whether wht knows the answer*
To the lightbulb question or the question of programmers vs designers?
N's Nuked! 8 left
same thing. ;o)
second one, please, anyone. diff bet prog and des, interested to know
I am not sure about the software designer, my first thought was web designer, but that is really a whole different thing.
dammit i don't have any ROs
ro6, a mouse or rat or squirrel
oh i just got the varmint
Software designer, web designer and programmer are three different animals.
Many years ago I started working as a computer programmer. Then one day I came to work and they told us we were all software engineers, so I have been an engineer ever since.
That's funny Lil. I was just about to post "think varmint". Great minds.
>How many software designers does it take to change a lightbulb? > Just one, but he won't do it unless he has a team to write up a design on how the lightbulb should be changed, a team to write up how the lightbulb was changed, a team to write up how to change the lightbulb again, and a team to put all the documentation together
Ro5,14 that Molly
back.
YAY wht!
I think the difference depends on how much code you know and what kind of code you know.
yeah, being a book doctor sounds way better than assistant editor (!)
*wonders how close Min is to finishing...*
Or perhaps how much code you have forgotten.
SDs are more concerned about the process and documentation, programmers are lazy and just want to see working code.
(usually.)
lil*monkey has 11 left
go monkey go!!!!
Software engineers are more interested in elegant algorithms.
I am more interested in choclit. If code gets me there, great. otherwise, poetry works, too!
and programmers are lazy and would rather tell SEngs to write an algorithm.h so all they ne4 to do is #import it.
sn4,6 is WACK
now now monkey! LOL
Monkey, do you sn5,10 at sn4,6?
27 to go, time for my din-din. bye all
bye gwen, nice to see you! ((hugs))
yes I do, wht
Goodbye Book Doctor Gwen.See you later in the chog
Bye Gwen
Min! are you almost done? I have to leave soon...
You can finish stidmama. It will take me awile, thanks
gr7 has me stumped....I entered a perfectly good gr word that means 'dirtier than' but it would not take it...harumph!
5 left for lil*monkey
That is an extra in Lickety today.
gr7 is a cake!
MPitt it's a mistake ... grid won't take it but Lickety will
43 for me...;o(
that is to say, it is a lie.
It seems that Lickety has been feeling generous lately and has been giving us a fair number of extra words. :^)
Hi MPittore! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
Hello lil*monkey! How are you? Welcome to the puzzle!
also, hi MP! :o)
THanks Minver
silly minv, lil has been here for a while ;oP

she should have been welcoming you to the grid in reverse! :oO
Sorry.I'm also desperately trying to get my last seven
ed6 pl. ed5 before?
ed 6/27 word is plural of the ed 5/16 word lil*monkey.
Monkey, pl of the ed5
O M G
fish me
The ed5 is a person who makes an ed4
LOSER! MORON!
hee hee
Who is a loser? Who is a moron? Do:
ME! *talking to myself*
lil are you verbally abusing your fellow Babblers again?
ok lil monkey it went in lickety but how can i GET IT IN THE GRID FOR FW eventually..sorry about caps...long fingernails...
Min is sweet enough to welcome everyone into Babbleland whether they are long timers or new people. Hey Min.
evening all
hi dan2! :o)
hi everyone....here we are again *smile*
MPitt, it won't go in the grid... don't worry about it
you will get FW
molly I meant that lil was in the grid before min came in... also I was kidding, hence the winkey smiley-thingamabobywhat.
ok tosses all my worries to the wind upon lil monkeys advice...and never looks back....
i need the damn FR6,36
where you keep your food...
cold food container
The damn fr 6/36 is what you keep your beer in.
Put your food in it, lil
dammit!
fr 6/36:short for where you keep your milk lil*monkey
cr*P!
MORON
that's two fishes...
<*)))><
Did you get enough clues Lil? : P
i have two left, they are probably both whales
now now lil it doesn't do well to insult yourself.
ne6 after the geek?
<*))))))))))))))))))))))))><
An ne 6/21 word ends with a Freudian term lil*monkey
Remember that there are people who see "benthic" but not "bent". <-- Like this id5 here.
Lil, unless they are id 5/12 and id 6/21 you should be fish free.
lol MPitt
wrong one, min... i ne4 the last ne6, after the ne4 word that means geek
ne + about + Freudian term
oops, OK, sory, i misunderstood clue, THANK YOU min and whit
Hey monkey, at least it wasn't a fish.
last one is DEF a fish
i'm too embarrassed to tell what it is
FIRE WOIKS

minv your mistakes are not hurting anyone, you don't ne4 to apologise!
love me some Darius Rucker!!!
I have just been in my fr6 for some chocolate. It's the middle of the night here and I should be asleep but I need 25 more. Babble is a drug. I see there is fr5/18 + ego and that is my brain state at the mo..
dfm, my last word was re4
i know! DUH!
... my last word is one of my favourite words (re7/44)... for me it is a huuuuge fish!
MPitt...fellow Darius fan.
I am off to bed now :)

thank you to all my peeps for great clues! thank u so much
hi & bye, cwossy
Min, you made no mistakes. You were just, as always, being nice....Night Lil...sweet dreams.
Hi crosshair! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
he is such a good singer....I liked him in the blowfish and even in the country music (which I don't know that much about) but I do like all types of music...even opera and classical and street music....it's all good
Goodbye lil*monkey! I will see you tomorrow in the log
...hurry get out the frying pan and bacon...crossy is here....
It's his voice MPitt. He's got what I call a "signature voice."
I agree Molly...it is so specific to him
niters lil monkey
back to grid I have to finish last 39 so I can go beddy bye and get up in the wee hours...day trip...
R's Removed! 2 left
go min go!
Are there 4 A words in the grid today? If so I entered all of them and Babble is telling me I have 1 A word left
yes, min
That is a conundrum Min.
3 ae, one an
I refreshed this page because of the A word problem.
I think it is time for me to go to bed. Good night and happy babbling.
Before I refreshed,Babble said I had two word left so I refreshed and now it is telling me I have 3 words left
night, wht
Goodbye wht! I will see you tomorrow in the chat log!
lickety has an extra word, min
I know Lickety has an extra word, but I do not think this has to do with Lickety. My problem is with the A's
try retyping them in. i had to do that with the de7/8 today.
I am done! I have fireworks! ae5/10 was my last word
whoo hoooo MIN!!
Somehow I forgot to type it before I found the ae6 & ae8 words.DUH! Another stupid mistake for me tonite
sounds like you're brain is overworked.
relax min,it is all good, there are no mistakes..you are just practicing perfection!
I will stay to clue, but not sure how good I will be at it tonight since my brain(or lack of)may be overworked
you will do fine min;)
never,EVER sweat the small stuff;))
I think I will skip doing a story of clues, but I'll be here
je 6/36 please
sounds like a person belittling you from a distance
best i can do:)
being mean,snide remark etc
but alt spelling
see min? my clues are terrible as well;))
but i have a stick of bacon gum and feel all better;)
The je 6/36 word is je plus re 4/5 word dianedecoder
see? now that is a sensible clue
21 to go....
yaa for mp you can do it!
sorrrrry.... I see that there are 2 je 6/36 I need the last one
I clued that last je 6/36 word for you dianedecoder.
howdy diane,my mrs likes your pink teddy for cancer:) and i like it as well.i am a 3 time survivor;)))
I know, crossy. :-)) My one little granddaugher hunted all over for that particular beanie baby for me...Bear's name is "Cure"
i may of said that already, but i have a memory like a goldfish these days;))
crossy!
dfm:)
How was the kitten soup? ;o)
thanks min... haven't tried yet... and I do have all the re 's
too many ears
thanks Min.. got it :-)
aww that's cute, diane :o)
yw
Husband wants to go on Farmville, so I am off for now
Goodnight to my fellow babblers! I'll see you tomorrow
fireworks here
good night min,see you on tomorrows grid
this young granddaughter has Asperger's syndrome... anyone familiar with this ? She is a brilliant sweetheart !
yaa for wvteach!
Congratulations wvteach on fireworks! Good for you!
good nite all
night night, Minver
*POOF*
i am familliar with it diane
my grandson also is aspergers - he is 12
crossy goldfish have an excellent memory..there is an email circulating with erroneous facts about a 3 second memory but that is not so
autism spectrum, but usually very high functioning. She is so bright in many ways... almost savant, but very shy... doesn't do well in groups... or with peers. I know there is a "niche" for her, but they haven't found it yet.
they can be trained etc.
Symptoms (characteristics) include being quite verbal, excellent memory, often fixate on one topic of interest. Immature social skills, poor motor coordination. He does not like to be corrected and gets quite frustrated. He doesn't do well in group situations. Doesn't relate to age peers but can converse with adults better.
My son does karate Diane- he also has found 2 friends at school but it has taken a long time
his aspergers is mild
oh for sure... and she never forgets a thing. She falls between the cracks... If she was less bright, she'd get all the training possible... yet she can't qualify for university. However, the education system is working on it.
my son was very delayed but now at 16 he is learning electric guitar has few friends but the ones he has have been for a long time ,still does not do well with too much stimuli, but does well on specific tasks and is on a good med regime
Allie is 22, and volunteers at the public library
I was delayed I think :o/ but then the very next year they put me in a class for the "mentally gifted"...
that is what they did with my son dfm
that is what they did with my son dfm
My grandson 3 yr old is being evaluated for high functioning aspergers also...
she was reading at 4. ( we didn't know it ) her vocabulary is excellent and she's a walking encyclopedia of facts....
it has been much better for him
I suspect that I have some form of mild autism, but nobody believes me. :o(
there is a "fine line" dfm.... for certain
yes, best to get the kids loving books asap
she learns mostly by rote
My grandson LOVES books....he has tons...
I am at the thrift store buying books constantly...I bring them home and clean each page b4 I give them to him
nothing finer than the gift of a book because it is not just a single gift but the discovery of a new world and everything in it:)
I started him on these cute lil trucks called Chuck and he has every one and knows each name and puts them in a certain order every time
she plays the piano and clarinet beautifully... yet anything that needs strength, challenges her. I just love her... that's all !!!
my grandson loves Legos, books, and has helped me many times on Babble. He loves computers. We leave tomorrow for two days at the state LEGO tournament. The large number of kids there will be a challenge for him, but working on the team of 10 kids has been great for him. He also loves music and can play several instruments by ear. But can't stay with the discipline of practicing
oh MP... I could tell you many stories about arranging etc.
lego tourneys! very nice!:))
He is in occupational therapy ea Fri to work on small motor coordination...finds toothbrushing difficult to move the brush
They use the LEGO Mindstorms which are programmed on the computer using special software
I have bought my gs every instrument I can get my hands on, guitar, harmonicas, drums, horns, accordians any music
One day, at about age 3, she dumped out all the magnetic letters onto the floor ( there were about 80 of them....) Within seconds, she said... "Grandma, where's the blue B ?" ..... she was correct.... it was missing !!!
Sounds like my GS
I've never heard of that wvteach.... Allie used to love LEGO years ago ... and she does a jigsaw so quickly !
>.> it's disconcerting that a lot of these descriptions fit me quite well...
I know a couple that are major LEGO sellers..they actually make their living selling LEGOS and seem to do very well
dfm...it could be ADD also...I have that and some of these descriptions also fit me...
this is called "second year medical student syndrome"
you're doing perfectly fine dfm.... :-))) No worries there !!
but some of these descriptions aren't that attributable to ADD... <-- probably has ADD too, though
There is a PBS show called "ADD and Loving It" great info....Dr. Hallowell is THE expert on it
but I'm not a med student though Do:
wouldn't the world be boring, if we were all carbon copies. I love the differences in human beings and embrace them all. After all, who can REALLY say what is normal and what is not!
I think all of us have some of these habits from time to time....it's what makes us interesting...
exactly my point :-)
Diane...Snap!...I agree 100%
oh yes, I'm not worried about the ADD part... but more the autism/asperger's... although it may very well explain a lot of things about me (e.g. extreme antisocialism, my own weird way of learning things (I don't learn unless I have at least two separate sources/inputs of information), and possibly delayed development...)
I like my table at right angles to my wall, or parallel to..... no angled stuff for me.... little idiosyncrasies, but just me
The benefit in knowing is that you then can learn to live happily with it...I do little tricks to keep me on target...like I make lists and cross off what I accomplish and what I don't goes on the next list...it works!
but the other problem is that I don't know! :o(
I also Love to learn but I have to sit in front of the class to avoid distractions and I hear it, see it, write it, read it and sometimes read it again and that gets into the medulla!
go to the web site www.firstlegoleague.org and you can get information about the tournaments and the Mindstorms
There are tournaments in all the states and Canada and there is an international tournament in May
will have more than 30 teams this weekend from here in our state of WV
Allie didn't get a diagnosis until she was 15... then she had an aide in school to keep her focused, and she graduated, without a modified curriculum.
That's happy news Diane! Glad to hear it!
Anything she reads, she KNOWS.... problem solving, or coping with the unknown are more difficult for her.
I have 4 words left.... Maybe I should ask for help..... my hubby will think I've totally deserted him !!
Will she be able to live on her own, marry, bear children etc???
my son has a modified schedule and a laptop for school work as his fine motor skill get in the way of writing, but he is doing well with adhd and odd as parents we have had a learning curve as well:)
how old/young are you dfm... if you don't mind me asking.
is the gr7 the extra word i lickety?
yes
yes the gr word doesn't exist
ty
yw
I sort of think not, MP.... but parents are working on independence... and have purchased a condo just 2 blocks from the home where the girls grew up.
Despite what my profile says, I am in fact not negative one, but nineteen.
fine motor skills are a problem too Crossy... for this young girl
WOW..... I knew you were youngish.... but not quite that young. I have 4 granddaughters who are 19 at the moment !!!!
Well I think we are so lucky our children/grands don't have a horrid incurable terminal disease you can always look around and count your blessing...autism and aspergers are not the worst thing they could have...thank God!
19..sigh remember 19? we were beautiful, and strong and bulletproof and owned the world;) now there is hair on my shoulders and age in my eyes and grey hairs in all the wrong places:)
exactly..... we all count our blessing every day ... we know other children with such sad afflictions
<-- has still not fully gone through puberty >.> definitely don't feel like I own the word, especially standing around 30cm shorter than a lot of my peers...
height does not matter a whit as long as you feel 6 feet tall inside
allison is only 4 ' 9"... so tiny
well, correction: *hoopefully has still not fully gone through puberty.
my mrs is 4 ft 11
erm, correction to correction: *hoopfully. Or hopefully, whichever.
yes crossy...I feel thin inside!!!
basically just 5 feet tall
we are thin inside mp))
so is this young girl's mother... ( our eldest.... coming 50 in April ) just 4' 11 "
I'm barely 150cm >.>
matters not
well my hubby would argue that he is thin on top LOL
you set the parameters of your life and the way you live it,height or the lack therof will mean nothing as long as you let it mean nothing
Actually I an psyching myself up to lose weight...will probably begin next week..got to eat all the goodies first...ROFL
here mp,have some of my famouse bacon...
okay... back to the grid.... need help on de 7/44 and de 8/60 please
yes, I don't mind my stature, but it kind of makes it hard for me to feel that I own the world, crossy ;o)
mouse bacon.... sounds yucky !! LOL
that is so kind crossy but I'm not such a bacon lover...I'm not into fried anything...just didn't grow up eating fried...I have to douse eggs in ketchup and any meat also...
dfm have you ever seen that young man that was born without limbs..he does motivational talks and is so interesting....he seems so tall to me...
I cry and smile at the same time when I watch him
I've heard of him?
yes diane me too! He said he is so happy he has that little "foot" thing
It probably helps him balance
nick vujicic
He literally does anything he wants to
handsome young man !
yes
well I'd better go finish my 8 and off to bed...
http://www.lifewithoutlimbs.org/about- nick
ty I'll look at it!
does anyone have those two de's I need help with? My monkey went to sleep... I ran out of bananas !
Do you have the re7?
yes
Look at it "another way".
oh oh, stuck on sn4/6 probably a fish any clues?
Clues are up
I'm doing it backwards dfm.... keep thinkig of Ellen , on TV LOL I'll get it
maybe the other re7?
oh my.... the worshipper YES !! thanks dfm
only YOU would see that was a reversal of the re word.... .... astute one that you are !!
good grief only one left the sn 4/6 and I am just drawing a blank here....
got a big counter in it
more evidence of possible autism, I'd say.
sn hear **..... hear **
not getting the clues...help
sn + oh come all ** faithful
Bingo....I mean fw ty
under the sn..... bingo !
congrats MP!
I need ei 5/12 the last one
so close but so far....
hehe, I knew that word... and what do you know, it's a word specific to Ontario.
ei + two in spanish
or ei + back in French
so it is !!
thanks MP :-))
one more little poser
yw
got it !! FIREWORKS.... thanks for the help !!
woot woot!!
congrats diane! :o)
thanks, friends. I not only finished, but enjoyed a nice chat as well. :-))
I've been getting most of the grid on my own.... love the challenge, but sometimes at the end of the day, my old mind gets boggy on me !!
I spent 2 hours in the dentist's chair today... I think I'll use that as my excuse tonight !!
well must get to sleep getting up at 5am...yawn...niters everyone and it was such fun chatting and informative also...throws colorful candies around the grid for all....Poofy!
night MP! :o)
waves nite nite....
night night, MP
hmm, early day tomorrow, I should sleep too.
waves nitey night...saw pics of your wonderful grands how wonderful! We have four!
I'm going to go make some popcorn ... maybe stay up for the flip... we'll see !
I bet you could tell which little GD was the one I was talking about tonight... :-)
might wake back up for the flip, who knows... night all :o)
no not really...
the old cliche..... good night, John boy.... good night mary ellen.... good night jason...etc. etc. etc.
just based on the fact you said she was tiny perhaps the front row middle?
we inherited twin step granddaughters 2 years ago when our daughter married for the second time.... they blended so well into our bunch of girls !
I'll have to look :-) but yes... she's very tiny and often looks apprensive.
oh my my son has twins also!
apprehensive even !
The GS I was talking about is 3 and the twins (boy & girl) are 18 mths
okay... off to make popcorn... be back later.. Sleep well, MP and nice to get to know you a little better :-)
Our other son has a 9 yr old...a handful even on ritilin!
hmph, so I don't get a "sleep well"? :o<
But I love them so much!
oooh. dfm... I thought you'd gone.... you might even get a hug ((( dfm ))) sleep well
Nite all!
night {{diane}}, {{MP}} :o)
sweet dreams MPitt! and Diane!
hey again all
(firweeds) and sweet dreams to everyone else -- I am off to pursue other pursuits... *poof*
May I please have a clue for ro5-14? Thanks.
ro*** that. Short wave talk. Means, I understand.
Thannks much, stidgemere.
Hello fellow babblers. I've only 8 left but having no luck at all finding them. Can anyone help with the 2 re7s?
ge 6/7 combo?
nm, got it
don' have the res. Sorry.
How about ne 4/7 and 4/5 before the ne that means geek?
Oops. I mean ne 4/7 and n3 5/16.
*ne. Wow, I must be tired...
re 7 's re + last 5 letters of another word for refined ( a person, that is )
the other one... past tense of re6/24 to go back on a deal or promise... e.g. in playing out a card hand
diane! long time no see!
All for me tonight. Sleep well to all.
