I used to enjoy thunderstorms... sleeping to the intermittent rumble of thunder, the patter of rain on the window... but thunder + snow, and storm + no mom-driver/car ruins the fun :o(

I work at a 24 hour facility that has to maintain coverage. Our employees are always torn when the weather turns. If the state calls an inclement weather day, that excludes us. We take our belongings to work with us if it appears bad weather might set in. Luckily, we're in the south so bad weather days are few.

crossy, I have a friend who recently battled cancer and had to get up early this week, shovel out a huge amount of snow, struggle to get to the doctors, only to hear "oh, I am sorry, she couldnt make it in today." I swear, he should get a house call in compensation

Who has the recipe for the meatballs? I used to do a pot roast with grape jelly; but it was basically braise a pot roast, then put it in the oven and dumpt the grape jelly on it and occasionally baste the roast with it....

my dad is doing well. he woke up and got off the vent at the end of last week. he got to sit up on sunday, which he felt was a big improvement. he also got a popsicle. yesterday he got MORE popsicles and i think a little ice cream. every day he can move a bit more. don't know how long before he can go from ICU to regular room.

No it isn't red. That stuff is a nightmare. It was on Martha Stewart and they went ot a garden that had it as a layer on the floor. It was organic stuff
