bottom row greyed out

You go beyond the routine, dfm

good luck, night all...happy holidays!
congrats DizGrannie!
congrats DizGrannie! Off to bed - Santa's coming in 5 hours!
night Pini
Have a lovely Christmas, Lynxx!!!
TY Ruby but I'm hanging around a bit
good, I am hiding out for a little while, putting off chores
mmm didn't realise a corgi was a spitz dog. as just looking up what type of dog I saw guarding a car today (didn't dare put my hand in the car!) but it must have been a chow - maybe a youngish one
chows have a very bad rep, but our experience with our five over the years has been that they are lovers, not biters
they are, however, VERY territorial
No, I would be wary putting my hand through any car window if a dog was in it - I would expect any dog to bite - even Stew!
not stew!
lol, no you right, he would probably just go to the furtherest corner
my hiding place has been discovered! back to chores. See you later
poor Ruby, bye for now
oh no ruby! :o(
72 words, so not so bad for a "stolen"moment

happy christmas eve everyone
lyn - what time it is in Oz
oops, cat's contribution to the puzzle!
Good Morning all and best wishes of the season (p-c phrase first) and Happy Christmas to all Babblers.
Just finished grid with the to5 and to6 !
congrats scouser - and HC to you to
back for a f ew more stolen moments before lunch
hello kazzer
hi lizmac
I hope everybody is well-prepared for the holiday. I just have cooking to do, but mostly tomorrow. Today just regular meals and cookies
Is anybody still here? I'm stuck on the left hand i and the lower a on the left and the bottom t. Aside from those, it's still not seasy, hahah
easy*
aa 4/4, il 4/4
lower a is aa 4/5 plural a sound of understanding (or perhaps pleasure); bottom t is ta 4/7 - not sure how to clue it but here goes - ta/roman 5/plural.
to 5 /10 plz
careful not to crash and to5 your car
ivesy3, to add up and then plural for the next one.
omg .. i was looking everywhere but there ty!
you're welcome :)
Must go and wrap up the last of the gifts. Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.
right back atcha, Sara, have a good one :)
NB! Are you OK?
its very quiet at the moment
Hi Kazzer
sure, fine thank you, Jayk :) and you too, I hope?
Haven't seen you on in awhile and the word was you were very sick
hello is anyone out there
was, but recovering nicely now :) thanks for the concern, but no worries!
Oh good!!
thanks :) only thing I get to grumble about now is being stuck in hospital (in isolation no less) over christmas. but there's always next year ;)
i think my chog had died cos it was nearly an hour behind before i refreshed
Oh my! how much longer then?
ugh, that happens Kazzer - if your internet connection hiccups the chog stalls, and you get stuck in a time warp ;)
hopefully, boxing day! then I'm allowed to recuperate at home. can't wait!
Excellent! will it be a long time before you can work? And hello again Kazzer
Hello again
are any of our ozzie friend still around. I nee to know what the time differnce is so i can wish my friends in Oz Hc at a reasonable time - thanks
it is 9.47 pm Xmas Eve here Kazz
About three months...need to find a job though, since I'm not allowed to do the old one. So...stress stress stress. But stress is what this time of year is all about anyway!
Kazz - on the East Coast only
3 MONTHS?! Yikes
thanks Lyn - hve a lovely Christmas - you will be tucking into lunch when i an thinking about getting up
yeah, so prepare to see a lot of me around here! had to have some pretty major surgery, that's why. three months feels like forever though..
and there's just TOO many 'A's in this grid.
and NB - have as nice a Christmas as you can - I will be babbling tomorrow morning
And no Es or Rs either
TY Kazz, you have a good one too if I don't see you beforehand
you had surgery? I thought you had malaria
thanks, Kazzer :) I guess I'm just going to try and sleep through it. I hate this time of year, anyway; it's no great loss.
Nancy - You are going to love Xmas in hospital if my experience is any guide. Everyone makes a special effort
i actually like this grid i am down to the last 15 which are ss and ts
Nope Jayk, but I really am wondering where this malaria rumour came from! Very strange...
I wondered too--not a disease one associates with either korea or england
you can get it in Korea, but most people from there have built up a resistance to that particular strain of parasites, I think.
I imagine it's quite a pleasant grid once all the 'A' words are out of the way, Kazzer ;)
there are only 23 (heehee)
Good morning all .......... what a beautiful day for Xmas Eve.....nice fresh crisp white snow and brilliant sunshine with blue skies!!
hi Flask, picture perfect
its xmas eve night here! so excited for santa!!

well done kazzer!

FM!
Ata!!!! hellooooo
How are you?
coooooooold
put another 3 layers on. It's not too bad here, only -4.
and trying to buy a coat for Hobbit
perhaps not the best time of year to have had her clipped? or did she need sorting out?
desperately
but now I feel bad
awe, can you get out to the pet store?
Hi all, just on briefly while doing other things. Son phoned this morning from a sandy beach in Egypt where it is 26 degrees, and then had the unkindness to send me a photo of the beach!
I was standing in the snow at the time having just done the hens.
Bad son! Happy almost Christmas Sally!
hi Sally! nope, she'll have to wait till after CHristmas
Lovely son - it's his birthday today. Happy Christmas to you too FM. I did send you an email just with my email address. Did you get it.
Yes I did thanks Sally, just been running around eversince so not had time to acknowledge.
np, just wanted to make sure I hadn't landed in your junk folder.
:)
Ata are you ready for tomorrow?
I am deeply impressed. I ordered some cat food from Zooplus on Monday, and it arrived today, and they said should have arrived Tuesday but they couldn't get down the bank here. This is precautionary cat food, I'm not actually out!
wow, given your location that is impressive Sally.
It is, isn't it. I buy extra large bags (15 kg) of Hills and it saves carrying it and is cheaper to buy too.
what I wouldn't give for an 'e' in this grid.
and Ata is dominating the bottom left hand corner of the grid too.
yay me!
thought that would amuse you
She leads to a nice phantom: atavistic
so does sprite's daughter at the top
good one Sally. Can't tell you how many times I have tried typing that in Ata along with anything that sounds vaguely Italian.
my first word was a nice ca 6/30 though
*starts the grid*
followed by a 7/44 Sally
thinks. Not a plural.
something similar
no not pl but alt sp
Ah! Got it, ty. Funnily enough, I wasn't sure of the spelling and hadn't realised they were both valid.
I stumbled across it too.
There are too many As in this grid. Would someone pleas remove some of them?
Uh oh. Visitor. Back later.
but have ground to the proverbial ha4 at the mo
Byee
Ata, are you at home for Christmas?
yes, lucky me. lol.
Ah well, looks like you might be getting more of the white stuff so prolly the best place to be regardless.
oh deep joy. we did have hail this morning
lol poor thing.
As I am stuck I shall take a break and return later. TTFN.
Good day! *waving across the pond*
*waves whilst disappearing* Happy christmas Scrabs! *poof*
bye dear!
Merry Christmas to you, FM!!
and to you SCrabs!
I have to work from 8 til whenever we're done with sick kids. That really means until nervous mothers stop calling us.
oh you lucky thing!
Parents get quite irrational before holidays.
As if illnesses are not permitted during holidays.
they aren't! even if it means the drs being up all night to prevent it
Or screamed at because we cannot meet the unrealistic expectations.
what do you mean, you can't fix flu in time for christmas day?
"What am I supposed to do? There are 40 people coming to my house on Christmas day."
like thats your problem!
hmm, rather you than me, Scrabbs...
It IS my problem, trying to explain durations of illnesses, and why antibiotics won't do a darn thing for a viral illness.
Hi NB! Feeling ok?
well yes, but isn't your prob that they are having a big christmas day!
morning everyone..
morning all..
a very good afternoon all! And a merry Christmas as well. Ata! *hugs*
Hi Carlee + Red. Red, are you on the airplane?
Oh merry Xmas Sprite.
Hi Sprite
morning Red, Carlee :) and yes thank you Scrabbs, a bit dreamy-painkillery, but aside from that, absolutely fine :)
Not yet, sitting at the airport.
Merry Christmas Eve to all. The preparations have begun.
hi molly
my real name is in the grid, lol
as is your daughters :)
NB...do we still have a date tomorrow :pÉ
oh yes!
Yes, I see it.
that was the first word I saw!
:D How have you been, dear? Is the job any fun?
hope so, Carlee! once I cancel my champagne brunch, and christmas lunch with friends, and sleigh ride in the park, and all the other things I just made up ;)
I wish Scrabbler that more parents had the courage and fortitude to parent, rather than coddle their children.
job is awesome :) I love it. Its nice being a marine biologist again
well..i will be here throughout the day off and on..catching up on laundry
You are still hospitalized,, NB?
am so happy for you!
amen to that, red!
congrats on that Ata, I have missed some updates!!
parents need a smack up the side of them....
You know it, Scrabbs. Can't have visitors, either!
what happened to you, Nancy Boy?
it's wonderful. usually one day on the beach, 2-3 days in the office writing about marine biology stuff
*Passing a fresh fruit and yogurt Christmas Eve parfait to NB*
Well said, Red. Pediatricians have evolved into co-parents -- that is how parents see us. Parents call for parenting issues and cannot make decisions.
fits you like a glove, Ata. About time you got some luck :)
Hi Sprite.....well I can't find your name...cos' I don't know it anyway!...lol
Congrats, Ata. I didn't know about your new job. At a university?
morning molls...
It is not easy to say No to a charming 3 yr old. nor is it easy to see them learn that lesson that life is not fair, but my goodness...
and flask...and ata..and scrabs
lol hi Flask :) It is Cassandra, but usually shortened to Cass or Cassy. And my girl's is Caya.
no, at Kent Wildlife Trust, it's a big wildlife charity
hi carlee!
*Passing a Mimosa and a buttery scone to Carlee*
and sprite over there...
Wimpy parents are abundant and children are in charge.
hold the mimosa..am working today molls...
Neato, Ata!
Hey Red! Safe travels to you.
Hi Flask
what a beautiful name!!
like i said..parents need a smack up the side of the head
Mmm, two Mimosas for me.
Hi Scrabbler
I can speak from experience... if you don't say NO when they are 3, you will have a helluva time saying it when they hit puberty. I see it all around me, with friends of my kids. Am so happy we were strict parents.
thanks Flask :)
and Carlee
AMEN Sprite. Amen.
Adolescents are just big toddlers--self-centered, defiant, having tantrums...
scrabbs, I just lost to you in scrabble, and thus started a new game to be trounced again!
yep, spank the parents, and simply give the children clear limits.
so... what did happen to you, Nancy Boy, that you are in hospital?
Sure, Red.
my son, 24, actually told me that he was happy that we'd been slightly more old-fashioned with his upbringing!
Yay, Kallia.
wow Kallia! Great to hear, isn't it!
hi all, a very happy christmas to every one
SOrry, I spent a good deal of time yesterday taking care of a kid and the kids Dad who was convinced that we were purposely hurting his child...
very cool kallia
Hi Kalia.
and to you too, Kallia
Merry Christmas...
I am missing 1 Q word. I have qu4 x 2, qu5 x 5 and 1 qu6
oh Red that must be so hard
you on msn, ata?
Parents do not want their kids to experience any pain, difficulty, adversity, frustration...
more irritating. parents who can cooperate with the staff usually have kids who are calmer and deal better with the trauma of being in an ER...
I guess it is the qu 5 that is very like another , the last 2 letters changed around
so true, Scrabs. And they seem to think that not giving t6hem any of that, will mean they will never experience any in life. In stead of preparing them for it.
But it is hard as a parent to be reassuring to kids when the parent is also frieghtened and concerned. and some parents have poor coping skills..
Yes, kids read their parents emotions. Scared, angry kid---> act out.
yes, spritey
OK! WHo has something FUN planed for the upcoming holiday???
yup found you :)
I will be visiting my friends' toddler in the PICU. 23 mo, Down syndrome, heart defect, heart failure, on ventilator...
Oh Scrabs! Bless that poor child. And her parents.
hmmm..i am home doing laundry tommorrow..working at the law office all day today..and back on monday.i get my kids boxing day
Well Scrabbs that doesnt sound like fun, but you will be making a big difference for that family.
fun? Tomorrow I will drive to my sister's, pick up my kids there AND the piano!
It is scary and that it is Xmas week makes it more emotional.
And Carlee, well laundry is nice.
Piano!!
Carlee, you work for a Grinchy Law Firm that is open on Christmas Eve? Boo, hiss.
I am afraid the plane will lose my luggage, all my X mas gifts are there.
Piano!! :) At long last. Am gonna teach my girl to play too!
Red, I have been talking with the resident for the last day, even this AM at 0600, and he is so nice + bright. It's reassuring.
hmmm...tis the season to party hardy...and when those partiers land in jail cus they were idiot drunks...they call us...
cus they want out of jail to be home for xmas
Piano! Wow!
Oh, man, Carlee.
Carlee, did your daughter move in with her father?
ouch, that is rotten, carlee
no...she is back and forth but as today is his bday....its hard to count it as christmas eve...( only a christmas baby gets that ..and as i am one of those)
and...he has family coming in town for xmas tomorrow..and family is family..and i dont have family coming in....he gets them tomorrow too
I must get ready to leave for work. I hope we finish with sick kids by noon.
good luck with that scrabs....
good luck Scrabs, and *hug*
*group hug*
**Group Hug**
Hugging all...from sunny Florida.
ok.just type scyth in to make sure i was seeing the grid properly and that it really isnt in the grid...'sigh.
better make sure :)
sprite, I cant wait to hear more about the Piano. I love musical instruments. We are trying to teach the nephews...
No worries Carlee. It took me a half hour to get the more than obvious bottom two t's. Yeesh.
I used to play, but when I left home, I couldn't afford my own piano. My mother gave hers to my sister, who never played. And recently my sister decided it should go to me :)
it is a good piano, an oldfashioned one with candle holders and all
but very good tune
nice sprite...
yep am very happy with it
i wish my daughter still played...but she doesnt...and i am unsure what to do with ours..when i move i doubt i willhave room for it and they are brutish to move..mind i like the look of it in a room
we had to rearrange our whole living room to make room for it, and we had to get rid of the... oh I do not know that word.
they are difficult to move. I think just the process of learning is a good thing for kids minds...
children? LOL
good morning friends
a kind of big, open closet that contains all sorts of living room stuff. From tv to ornaments, and much more.
morning trifs...
congrats to primo !!!!!
hi Trif :) No, pianos.
thanks carlee!
a wardrobe?...entertainment unit???
I think I would call that an entertainment center, or an armoire
what's with primo? Birthday? Accomplishments? Congratulations for either or both :)
t's done
he was accepted yesterday early decision at the only college he has ever wanted to attend
it is the mature thing to have in a living room, in holland anyway. We call it a wandmeubel - wall closet, wall furniture.
he has wanted to go there since he was 14 years old and first heard of it, and now he is. it was a wonderful moment for us
oh WOW Trif! That is so wonderful!
I was in line at the supermarket, and he called me to say the letter had arrived and could he open it whilst on the phone to me, so he did, and I proceeded to basically have a stroke in front of 100 strangers
it was really funny
nice...perfect xmas pressie
oh LOL, that is lovely. Let them see there is no shame in showing your happiness :)
congratulations to him and you trif!!!! how nice!
what good news Trif!
hi all
I even tried to call mr hate to share the good news (primo called him first of course, I just wanted to speak to him about it too...) and he had to throw cold water on the whole thing. He would'nt even say what was wrong, just "you need to call your lawyer". So now I am filled with dread, waiting for the other shoe to drop. so many emotions in one hour!!!
hi jmc :)
but I am not focusing on that. I am focusing on primo, and how amazing he is, and feeling happy
Trif, he just cannot bear to see something good and happy without feeling the need to ruin it... isn't that the saddest thing?
morning jmc
I keep teasing him, every time he comes in a room I say things like "hey, aren't you that guy who just got in to MassArt" and he laughs, but I can tell he is really, really chuffed
Trif!! Congratulations to your boy! Don't let Mr. Hate rain on your parade.
hello jmc!
Morning JMC. Merry Christmas Eve.
thanks molly
it is the loveliest thing. For him and for you. Something to celebrate to the hi4.
puppy needs walkies....brb
bfn Trif
greetings, my Babbke friends! It is early Christmas Eve morning, here. Wishing all of you a very merry Christmas/happy holidays!
bye trif
hi angel
happy christmas angel
and to you too, Angelsong.
I am watching "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" on YouTube. You can keep Jim Carrey. This is the real deal. : D
and on that note i ned to put together a platter of sweets for boss lady with a bottle of wine...and get my act together...Happy christmas eve...Merry christmas to those i wont see...and NB...if you're still urking...cu tomorrow hun
great, isn't it :)
bye carlee, all the best!
i didn't like the Jim Carry version--never understood why they have to add subplots to perfectly good children's books
bye car
Happy Day Carlee!
hear hear, jmc
I agree JMC. I have not liked the live action versions of any of the Dr. Seuss stories.
I did like the Cat in the Hat though.
i was so disappointed in the Tim Burton Johny Depp Alice in WOnderland for the same reason
the cat in the hat was alright but the subplot was no help
I have yet to see that JMC. Since my sister liked it, I will have to give it a shot. Although, my gut says I'm not going to like it.
no, they could have left that out, indeed.
i think oasis has been my phantom 3 out of 4 of the last grids
i so thought alice and tim burton and johnny depp was a match made in heavan
so what does that say about you, jmc? Are you in need of A. a vacation to a desert state; B. a drink of water; C. a drink in general; D. a nice swim; E. all of the above?
lol a drink of water i guess
;)
too early for bourbon even for me
well at 10 words I think I have hit a wall :-(
not as bad as yesterdays but still a bear
it is not flowing at all for me either, jmc.
back. I was a little late for puppy walkies this morning, and you should have SEEN the indignant look on Indy's face! He was nine pounds worth of "and where have YOU been?" lololol
awwwwwwww :D
i just had a little run on words ending with ai4
i hope you weren't TOO late
he could win an award for fasting growing puppy! he has literally doubled in size since his arrival. And no, jmc, he held it!
good pup
good for him
he is a good puppy. very smart. Will be glad when the teething stops, but a very good puppy, on the whole
it is fun, raising one, isn't it
yes, even more so now that he more or less sleeps through the night. didn't love those 2, 4, and 6 am walkies so muich
these A's are killing me
luckily is doesnt' last long
am with you there, jmc
broken nights are always a drag
i have three A words :-(
do you have the 2 that start with aa? I always miss those.
ty sprite
Hello everybody, and the happiest of holidays to all of you, and yours. :-)
hi soodle
hi Soodle, love and light to you too
your lips say happy holidays but your icon says bah humbug!
Merry Christmas Eve Soodle!
hello soodle, and very merry christmas to your family as well!
*smugly draws attention to her icon for being perfect for a Xmas eve Friday Babble icon*
Teetering on the brink, JMC. Wavering....... All weather related!
sprite, your icon is very cool!!!
lol
I thought so :)
and you should be smug sprite!
sorry I did not compliment you on your ideal icon!
*grins* You are forgiven.
oh, this made me laugh - secondo is in the orchestra at school, and they had a secret santa style gift swap, which the teacher called "Secret non-denominational gift giving buddy"
did you take the pic of today's grid and upload it? very clever sprite
hahahahaha
Oh, Trif.... that just takes PC over the top. And, well done on the icon Sprite..Its great!
Nice jab at the annoying politically correct Trif.
my staff and i were discussing how secular christmas is in the U.S.--my hindu friends all celebrate it
yes, with a bit of toying in GIMP (graphics application)
I assume he was being tongue in cheek, for that very reason
Oh Sprite! I just looked at your icon. How lovely. Good job!
:) thanks all!
i only find one aa word aa4/4 what are the stats on the other
a friend of mine used to live in asia, somewhere where almost everyone is non-christian, but they looooove christmas anyway....apparently they didn't "quite" get it though -- lots of shop windows displaying Santa on the cross, which made me laugh SO HARD
aa4/5
I love Dr. Seuss. "He puzzled and puzzed, 'til his puzzler was sore."
ty
omg Trif, really? LOLLLLLLL
morning all
*smack* hit me with a fish!
I know, right? I WANT ONE
just started and found 8 of the q's woot!!
good quote, Molly, and hi periwinkle
Okay! Clean up time. Coffee all over my keyboard at Santa on the cross. Ahahahahahahaha!
*hit jmc over the head with a guppy*
quite quickly molly!
you could put right next to your talking plastic Jesus
sorry, peri!
Good morning.
*throws molly a roll of paper towels*
hi peri
hi Kap
G'day Kap.
don't tell primo, but one of the best gifts he is getting this year is this: http://www.mcphee.com/shop/products/De luxe-Miracle-Jesus-Action-Figure.html
Hello Kap & Peri.
wd peri i am struggling here
and next to your "jesus christ do it yourself set", containing two planks and some nails ;)
it was the "glow in the dark miracle hands" that sealed the deal
lol sprite
Is this a Christmas vs. Holidays discussion?
OMG trif!
Isn't that funny?
that is funny, Trif: "a jug for turning water into wine (not guaranteed to work for real"
Have any of the American TV channels ever shown 'Father Ted'?
Don't get me wrong, I love my Jesus. I think even He would find that hilarious
not really, Kaplan, just a bit of fooling around
I don't think so soodle. we did get the Vicar of Dibley, though
Kap, see Trif's comment at 7:09. Hilarious.
good job, periwinkle, I still need 2
as if there's two sh5/16s. I believe in Jesus more than I believe that.
no I don't think so
LOLOL nancy!
hi NB
If you ever get a chance to see Father Ted...please do. It is the funniest send-up of the catholic church ....ever.
I do have them both, NB - would you like a clue?
Hiya Nancy :-)
NB nice to see you back, heard you managed to contract malaria!
i will look for them online
hi esprit
hi jmc and everybody
oh,NB, please don't ignore me....it's christmas.
hi dJean
funny the way rumours start, Esprit. I cancelled my paddling tour of the African Rivers at Sunset this year. So no, I don't have malaria ;)
happy christmas sprite
and to you, dJean!
I'm not ignoring anyone...I can't type very quickly. Meds are making my hands shake.
wow, sorry...that was the press release!
okay, just checking
what happened to you?

I will keep you company, sprite. I adore you. always have, always will
help with o in the corner pls
and vice versa, Trif. Very much so.
i need it too peri
please see what I just said, Spite...
I even tried ottavia, periwinkle, lol. No luck so far.
oops, *sprite. told you my hands were shaking :S
(some folk are just thin skin NB)
am glad, Nancy Boy, and if you shake me up to Spite, I will still love you ;)
I keep trying Avada kadarva, or whatever that harry potter curse is
ottavia? what do you think that means? lol
sadly, enable is muggle driven
road for water mammals?
no idea, jmc, just looked like a great word for babble
lol
lol Trif
I was thinking ottavia was more of a musical term
it's my fault Jmc...being ill is getting me down...and it was around this time last year I got disowned. so a bit glum!
Ot 6/27 OT plus cons, plus Ms Gardner, old actress..... and plural
just tried that trif :)
its a rather pretty word, ottavia. would be a nice name
could be an otter from batavia
hmmm it could be a purple flower
ty soodle
bless you soodle!
wow I guess I should apologise for getting so close to a real word. Sorry!
thanks Soodle :)
sprite you were SOOOOOO close with ottavia
ty Soodle, NBT for me
i still need to two A's for nbt :-(
yeah, close but no cigar for me!
help with the top A please
blue green color
hm I have As for every tile, but no T for the upper left corner. Hold on for the A.
aq4/5 pretty color? jmc
Have you the watery ones, JMC?
the real O word is not as pretty as yours
think water in latin, jmc
ac4,7

thank you sue, and a very happy Jesus' birthday to you too!
th** is going to make chatting a bit trying today
yeah... I think we haven't paid it much heed, to be honest
I must be dim. Still missing that O..
al6?
NB subtract a letter from sprites word
I am missing the a in the right most column
dont have the 5 before it either
O: swimming mammal Ot*er + h**e yourself a merry little Xmas + vowel
yea! nbt
nancy boy, btw---you might have missed the big news here - Primo was accepted to art school yesterday
and make it plural for the other O
bl
wtg jmc
ty sprite i couldn't have done it without you
I thought of your friend with the amazing drawing talent.....
babble teamwork, jmc
okay i am off to get some work done
have a good day, jmc
bye all!
merry christmas eve, jm
Bye Jmc. Trif, thats wonderful news about your kid. Woot!!
yes, soodle, it was.
is, even
thanx, Jmc. Ohhh, I'm feeling too sorry for myself today! I'm off to, uh, stare at the ceiling some more. Be good, everyone..
the dorms at MassArt are AMAZING. every two floors they have a HUGE studio assigned to the residents, so they can do their class work, and -ahem - have great parties
Who's in Mass Art?
bye NB, don't be too bad yourself
nancy, stay with us! We are your family now, and we will love on you until you are happy and well again. there is so much love for you here NB
my son is going there in September, Kaplan, and we have a very good friend there now. she is LOVING it there
It is a great school. I know a lot of alum.
joy joy joy. so much joy
Congrats!
So many As, so little E.
As the expression goes.
am runni9ng out of words to try. This grid isn't sprite friendly at all.
It's going to be hard to stay out of the PB today.
good morning and Merry Christmas Eve to all
Hi Annie. Merry Christmas Eve to you.
what Annie said!
very. It is a great day for a PB party. *puts ornaments and drinks around the jacuzzi*
to you too, Annie!
FINISHED!! VERY EXCELLENT!!
:)
Hello Dan. Merry Christmas to you, the Mrs. and cute little Maggie.
woo hoo gt!
Trif, I read the great news about Primo going to Mass Art in Sept....congratulations
yay for godth
thank you annie. we are so excited!
ty Molly
huzzah for godthaab!
good job godthaab
hi dan2bit! Merry Xmas to you all
Thanks.
merry christmas dan2! will this be your baby girl's first christmas?
Oh my God! I just looked at Baby 2Bit's pictures with Santa. HOW CUTE!!
Oh, duh, yes, I will be. she is so lovely!
*it* will be even. I can't type today.
thank you all - yes first. I tried to convince mrs2bit that she'd be happier with just tissue paper and ribbon this year instead of gifts
no go on that idea :-)
lol but you are right about that, dan
to be honest, if you have family around you will hardly need to buy her a thing. We were innundated our first year!
oooh that adorable little babe of yours will brighten me up! she is so cute, Dan. just totally precious!
Nice try Dan. We Moms are like that. : D
my kids got presents for Sinterklaas, but played only with the wrapping, at that age
and dan, I keep forgetting to say -- I BOW to you and the mrs. ONE puppy is keeping us running, can't imagine how you handled that lot!
Christmas Eve hugs to NB!!!
Thanks Molly, I'm such a scrooge this year :)
wow I finally used the -th ending
hahaha trif - we talk about that now too - one baby + any puppies is a lot
i still can't find the a in the right hand column. Anyone have a hint for me?
NB! How are you doing?
trif - like a school paper and plural, but different start vowel
hmmm. I will stick with the puppy on that one, dan. a new baby around here would either be a medical miracle, or one of my teenagers getting grounded for EVER
*Passing the milk of human kindness to NB*
bit off and on today Kap - quite a lot of pain at the moment! might ask one of the nurses for a cuddle..lol
BLESS you dan! NBT
thanks dan!
cuddles are great, they heal more than just the body :)
:(
((((sending cyber cuddle to nancy))))
Everyone be sure to check out Sprite's icon. It's brilliant.
:D
Kap, whatever are you frowning about?
wow, having no e's in a grid makes a huge difference in terms of ease of solving
doesn't it just, Trif
yeeeeeeeeeeeees
Just checked sprite's icon...brilliant is correct
new baby2bit seasonal photo in my profile :-)
thanks Annie ;)
awwww dan, this one is so sweet as well! Button is a beauty!
Good Aftternoon all of you - I thought I'd come back and see if there are any body about and there are lots of you - so Happy Christmas again
I was frowning about NB in pain.
happy christmas, kazzer!
merry Xmas to you too, Kazz
Happy Christmas Kazz.
hello kazzer and merry christmas to you too
Happy Christmas, Kazz :-)
hmmm. one more holiday errand to do. bummer.
Soodle, enlighten me. What is involved in an Irish Christmas dinner?
the kids are leaving at noon for their day with their dad, so I guess I will have time to get stuff done, but was rather hoping to avoid any sort of retail establishment today
its a nice grid today - lots of As but they are quite easy
there is always one more, Trif. Bummeriest!
(((( trying not to yell Whiskey!)))))
I KNOW that part Trif.
phanthom---avatar
nice one, Annie
:)
Oh! Sprite! I forgot to tell you.....my neighbor up the street is from Holland, and on the whole her English is EXCELLENT. However, she does miss the odd idiom or expression. Imagine my delighted awkwardness when she asked me yesterday -- "ElizaBeth, vat is dis ting, camel toe?"
I have still got my cooking to do but I had a minor disaster - i forgot to buy unsalted butter but my son came to the rescue and will bring me home soon
roflolllllllllllllllllllllllll!
hope you told her it's a moose knuckle's cousin.
indeed sprite, indeed
Tsk. No whiskey till the troops are fed.... Turkey, Ham, brussels sprouts, carrots, mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, croquete potatoes, sausage stuffing, sage & onion stuffing........ and only THEN, is the whiskey produced! LOL
Good one NB!!
I did think of that nancy, but not sure it would have helped.
we foreigners can makes such silly mistakes in english. I know!
three kinds of potatoes? writes it own joke, doesn't it?
please, you should hear some of the goofs I have made in french....
Okay Soodle. I should have figured three kinds of praties. I've got the mashed potatoes and carrots so I have the Irish represented.
Spuds! (Using Hollywood Irish accent..) Ya cant bate them!
jillibus once was sweet enough to tell me I always mix up flue and flu!
my mom, however, OWNS the record for international goofy incidents. She came to Ireland with us once to visit the inlaws and Mr. Hate's family, and went ON and ON about how her fanny pack was the best thing EVER, and how she never worries about pick pockets with her wonderful fanny pack....
i am looking forward to my roast dinner - turkey beef spuds sprouts carrots broccoli and beans and all the trimmings - and i dont have to cook it
I was trying to shoot her death rays to make her stop, but it didnt' work. Fanny over here just means your backside....
Hmmm. I love the bit about not having to cook it, Kazz!
lol!
not so much in Ireland, of course. My mother in law is a lovely, completely proper Irish woman who has never seen herself naked. I think her hair BLEW OFF listening to my mom
I bet the Cavan-ers were aghast, Trif...ROFL
how embarrassing, Trif, but how funny!
we were in dublin at that point.
good morning all
hey wvteach, merry Xmas
my friend up the road invites us if we are at home and its lovely - but i like cooking it as well - we will do an xmas lunch later in the year
morning wv
we still tease her about it, it was SO fUNNy. She had not idea what she was saying, and they had NO idea what she was talking about. All I could think was "what do they imagine is going to happen when she wants to pay for something?"
oh Trif!
oh trif that does conjure a picture
tee hee
that has really made me laugh
Its not just the words that get distorted across the atlantic. Last time I was in LA, I was talking to a chap who said he was just back from a rock. I waited to see what he was talking about... a rock garden, a rock concert.... Turns out he had been in Iraq!
lolol
oh yes! Most 'accents' are due to mispronounced vowels.
once we had an american exchange student at our school, and we told him to hail taxis here, you yell, "W*NKER!" at the passing cars...some very unimpressed cabbies around brighton, I expect
well I seem to have managed some fireflies out of this grid yet. Thanks for the wonderful company, all. And if you celebrate, have a lovely Xmas Eve.
the first time I was in ireland we were driven to a pub by a friend, and there was a lot of snorting when I said "thanks for the ride!" humpf
Yay! Well done Sprite!!
lol Trif and NB
*poof*
soodle, I just found the mashed taters from a couple of night ago in the fridge. could they be done up in to breakfast potato pancakes or sommat?
Mix in a chopped up onion, some chives, parsley, shape into little patties, roll them around in flour, and fry them Trif. Delish!
pan fry? and thanks!!!
Pay fry, or griddle... whichever. You could always put a beaten egg into the mix, to bind it all together.
"A completely proper Irish woman who has never seen herself naked." Oh Trif, you're on a roll today woman.
fireworks here, just in time to get the fluid round my lungs checked. not gonna ruin the surprise but it involves a huge-ass needle. bye everyone...
Bye Nancy.
potato pancakes happily frying away
oh, goodbye nancy....that does not sound like fun at all, our poor boy!
I can smell them from here, Trif. (Hoping that Trif is fully clothed, for fear of splashes of hot oil....)
indeed I am. Fry cook at the nudist camp is not my dream job
want me to upload one?
Happy Christmas to all the Christian here on the chog.
What? a potato cake, or a cook in a nudist camp?
Very many happy returns, Bichon. :-)
Merry Christmas Eve to all of you and good morning / afternoon
lol. potato cake. which are delicious, btw. Thanks again!!!
((((Mom)))) Merry Christmas, to you and yours.
merry christmas eve to you mom!
Merry Christmas Eve Mom! I'm basting yeast rolls with butter and feeling very festive. How are you?
{{{{{Soodle}}}}} Merry Christmas to you and your family as well. How is your new little addition to your family doing?
i need to make a list, or I am gonna forget something. I can tell
Merry Christmas Eve Trif
.......she's making a list, she's checking it twice.....
((Molly)) I am just dandy, aside from the usual get together drama. :-) always makes for good entertainment
<--------Naughty
I am gearing up to do some cooking here in just a bit
Mom, she is great. She is still only about half the size of the cat, but she has established herself firmly as the boss!
<------------- naughty here as well
oh Soodle that is wonderful
Mom, I'm making the rolls for tomorrow, today as the roast owns the oven tomorrow. I'm making some stromboli later for Christmas Eve buffet.
our youngest loves stromboli
okay, gotta step away for a mo to drive tertiare's little friend home. merry christmas everyone, and I will see you all again soon, god willing. blessings to you all
Blessings to you and your family also Trif
Ok Molly and Mom....whats Stromboli?
Bye Trif, and a very merry Christmas.
will be making appetizers here, having turkey, roast beef and ham sandwiches with mac n cheese and hash brown casserole.
HI Flask
stromboli is cheese and meats enclosed in a bread and baked
clue for li5/10 please?
Stromboli...roll out a loaf of bread dough into a rectangle. Lay slices of ham, pepperoni and white American cheese all over it. Roll it up, seal it. Bake it. Cut up into slices when done and cooled. It's also made in pockets of dough and the stuffers vary.
Stromboli is a filled bread shell [cheese, meat veggies]
and then sliced
My kids beg for my Stromboli. : D
Hi Bichon, Merry Christmas Eve
Mmmm....sound divine!
Although I am not Christian, I really enjoy Christmas.
oh Bichon, sorry
hello again
All the festivity, food, family closeness [hubby not Jewish, children and grandchildren have fun too]
Mom, don't be sorry.
((Ruby))
:-) Bichon
Irish latkes!!
{{all my friends}}
this is a lovely time for everybody
Flask, sorry I don't have the li 5/10 but will help you look
Food is food, around the world.
I have to say, though, the French seem to celebrate the least! They don't go to church (the one in our village closed except for funerals and concerts); they don't decorate their houses with lights; they don't send cards; they just eat!
thanx Mom...I just found it!!
oh Flask, please clue
ends in the 3rd vowel
got it, thanks
when I was a kid in NY, we used to drive around the better neighborhoods nearby to see the Christmas lights. Not here!
oh Ruby we did that as children as well, and we took our boys.
good Mom....
it was a true highlight of the season! My father had a store in which he sold toys (and everything else!) and when he would close at 10PM, we'd pile into the car
simple pleasures
sounds fab ruby.....
I hate to, but I must run. I'll be back when I stop for lunch. ((Hugs)) to all of you
I remember putting up a stocking so I could get a present and my father put a lump of coal in it. I'm tryng to make up for lost time now by enjoying Christmas
our village has a pretty paltry display except for the church which was little white lights up the steeple
my parents, who had no time for shopping, would let me pick out anything I wanted from the store!
{{mom}} and Merry Christmas to you.
((Ruby)) Merry Christmas
every year I think I'll make cards using a photo of the dogs in funny hats and I never do it, lazy Ruby
haha, I always try that too ruby'
they never come out good enough
I think about stuff I never do, just get bogged down
poor Max (the autistic one) would probably totally freak out if I tried to dress him!
The Germans really do Christmas up well. I haven't been, but my German husband always wants to go at Christmas time
sl 5/14 plz
Ruby would let me, but would then destroy whatever iit was and hide the funny hat in the garden
twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house, not a creature was stirring except a few babble mice;))
we have a German friend here (she's Catholic, her husband is Jewish) and they go to Germany every Christmas for the outdoor markets and the light
plural ivesy
plural of the s 4/6
{{crossy}} Merry Merry to you!
sl 4/6
((ruby))
hello nana from Wales!
how cold is it?
oh ty, i thought i had that already lol
mild,just minus 6
oops i did have tht one
Everybody is making fun of Europeans in the newspapers, especially the Int'l Herald Tribune, saying, "What? Snow? Is it winter?" HO HO HO
forgot to put it on the list, can we say brain fart?
Paris and London are both jokes! There was a guy on tv from Montreal who said that they get 15 meters (did my husband hear right?) a year and they just deal with it
3 inches in Paris and it shuts down. And 8 out of 10 of the Chunnel trains "broke" and were still broken 3 days after the snow
they should try upstate NY!
i live in western ny
I used to live in Binghamton
do you get "Lake Effect" snow ivesy?
they call it ski country, but our area hasnt been hit (yet).yes we get that usually from jan till april lol
upper protions got it bad over the last few weeks
do you get the dreaded "black ice"?
usally in march, the for the black ice. worse than snow for driving
I used to fall on it, once a winter, usually getting out of the car
horrible stuff!
no sidewalks here, so no black ice hahah
oh yes, thats what i usually do. kind of walk on tiptoes, with your head down
judi in Scranton called it the popular duck-walk
well, 9 left so i think i will rest my eyes. merry xmas all
Good morning, everyone.
Okay, so I signed up for Flickr - how do you get the pix on your profile?
lol,you read correct ruby,up here we get what is called lake effect snow and in just the previous 2 weeks out town and the one next to us got 7 feet of snow lol!
our
crossy - will you help me with flickr?
I see you have some pix on your profile
lol, sorry trent it drives me nust as well,my flickr acct has been displaying picture form another acct for months now
if they were my pics,id be happy lool
oh, ok
apparently we *might* get a half inch or so tomorrow, but the big southern storm will be too far out in the Atlantic for DC
what you see there are pics from some asian family that use the acct name "crosshare" and i of course am "crosshair"
and flicker refuses fo fix it
how crazy is that?
computers should be able to sort that out
at least the pics are tastefull and not some spandex encased s&m freak getting his daily spanking lol
lol
haha crossy - reminds me of the time that Facebook let my father hijack my account, just because he's dan senior :-)
lol dan
we did eventually get them to sort it
dan that baby bit of yours just gets cuter every day..can you crop out that ugly guy holding her up though? spoils a perfect picture lool
Oh wow. My son's Grandma turned 70 yesterday. Her brother made the most beautiful YouTube video presentation of her life. Starting with baby pictures and going through all her years and milestones. What a beautiful gift.
crossy - seriously :-)
:)) crossy is bad;)
pretty soon she'll be standing on her own and won't need some creepy handler ;-)
:)
She's gorgeous, dan. Enjoy your first Christmas with her and may you have many more.
Happy Christmas Eve, fello babblers
Aw, Maggie in the Santa hat is the true Spirit of Christmas. Great picture Dan.
Hello, beach and Happy Christmas to all.
I'm just heading out for a walk. Enjoy the grid, bye for now!
howdy beach and Merry christmas!
crossy killed the chog;(((...sniff...
There is a plate of these in the PB. Enjoy! http://media10.dropshots.com/photos/69 8395/20101224/072823.jpg
hi, folks
howdy welki;)
mmm christmas food!
here is one of my favorites,Christmas peanut brittle!!
http://mymansbelly.com/2010/12/01/chri stmas-candy-recipes-bacon-peanut-britt le-recipe/
My husband would have gobbled that stuff right up. He was a true lover of anything bacon.
I would have to buy it though. Candy thermometers and I don't get along.
lol
i do not blame you ,all that sticky boiling sugar makes me edgy as well,i keep thinking "crossy,if you tip that pit and get that goop on you,it will stick like glue and burn you down to the bones"
Q for all of you, i made a banana bread then sprinkle icing sugar on top -- was making a "snow scene" with xmas sugar cone trees and snowmen etc.
anyway, the banana bread was definitely cold before i sprinkled the icing sugar
and the sugar clumped
put it in the "natural" fridge, ie., outside porch
next day all the icing sugar melted
any ideas anyone?
banana bread has a high moisture content,so i am not sure
sugar cone trees and snowmen were fine -- used royal icing to decorate those
just the icing sugar
i could see the icing sugar, clear wet coat on the top of the banana bread
got it..you dust it lightly with corn sharch
starch
To prevent icing from running off your cake, try dusting the surface lightly with cornstarch before icing.
then add icing sugar
had to look it up
http://www.recipegoldmine.com/kitchenh int/khbake.html
good hint and tip site
you get that shirlock? light dusting of corn starch first
corn starch?
not that i mind adding the corn starch but why did it melt?
is it the banana bread moisture thing?
if so, next time i won't use banana bread as a base
i think so
too much moisture
huh, we ended up adding coconut as snow
that works;))
there are tips at that site to glaze your breads and cakes, that may help also
That happened the last time I made cinnamon rolls. I had to make an extra batch of icing and change the proportions. More powdered sugar, less liquid. Adding cream cheese helps too.
yep, looked just fine! one of the snowmen came out a little drunk but the trees were great, will post a pic later
there we go! babble...a wealth of knowledge!
those snowmen are well known tipplers
figured you guys can help -- my mom and i were mystified
howdy ruru
yeah, i'm telling people the snowmen went to a party beforehand ;)
mine did.. he lost his head too
*Waiting for someone to post a link to a Calvin and Hobbes snowman scene*
this grid irks crossy....
it's an easy grid with lickety.. but on your own.. you can't see um
i know i am in for it when i hit my first babble wall 15 words in;/
i licket-ied long ago
ah found 1 more..am on a roll
:)
I couldn't find anything last night
this grid could use a few more a's.. don't you think?
this grid has 'ass' in it, which is kind of your first clue to how it's gonna turn out, I think
lol nancy
hello...Happy Holidays
it also has poop which i think is appropriate too
merry christmas phae!
howdy NB
just finished the last of the baking...taking a break
lol Ruru...that's the spirit. and hello, everyone. merry christmas if you're into all that.
you monkey and you monkey and then get word you could have sworn you already monkeyed ...
im sorta into that ty NB tried the 12 day candle thing, but i do not look good in a beanie
not really into christmas myself.. but I wish everyone else a nice one
well happy festivus for the rest of us then:))
yeah, doesn't do much for me either. I was raised buddhist and frankly, a chubby guy in a passe red suit sneakin' into my room is more reason to call the police than to celebrate ;)
good idea for those looking for a different celebration if they do not observe christmas, you all gather around a bare iron pole and say to each person gathered everything they do that annoys you then pass the iron pole to the next person lol
Thank you ruru. I forgot to do my usual first three words (sh4, tits, fart) just to get them out of the way. They are almost always big winners.
LOL. Oh Molly.
never tried the budda thing, but he looks cute and chubby
I espouse many elements of Buddhism into my eclectic spirituality.
I know, right? Adorable. Finally a deity you'd want a cuddle off.
Okay, if the movie Dogma gave us "Buddy Jesus", why not Cuddly Buddha?
my wife is into shamanisim a bit
kinjii the red nosed budda, had a very shiny nose....
I have great respect for Shamans. They are the enlightened ones.
she gave me my animal totem;)
Oh great Cross. With that, and Trif's tale of Santa on the Cross, I am going to be giggling all day.
lol
Cross, I'm guessing your animal totem is the wolf. Mine is the crow.
you guess right;))
Maybe I'm a heathen, but I don't really get faith. Great for those who have it, but I have difficulty believing.
faith is the ability to believe in the unseen, the unfelt and the unproven
do you believe frank will be there for you through thick and thin?..that is faith
for a minute there i thought you were quoting miracle on 34th street.
lol GE
faith is believing when common sense tells you not to..
Ah, but that's not unproven, unfelt or unseen ;)
well,a tad more than that
(I consider the big rattly space where half his liver used to be some fairly strong proof)
does my wife believe i will lay down my life if needed for my family? this is faith
lol nb
he can put a zipper there and keep snacks handy:)...crossy salute frank!
LOL. It does grow back :P
lol
then we better leave the space empty then
is it me or is this a weird discussion?
it is weird
you got a new topic ruru?
this grid is killing me atm so i need a distraction till the words start popping again
not really.. hoping to avoid the typical "my dysfunctional family" thing this year though
ok i will not tell you bout my family then;)
Yeah, I join Ruru in voting against that one.
if someone brings it up in the chat.. I am covering my ears...LALALALALALALA
lol
lol
how many people do you know who actually have FUNctional families?
LOL Ruru, we'll leave our dysfunctional families at the door.
we can talk about, sex, food, sex, music, sex, drugs, sex ,medical problems,sex....
You don't wanna hear me talk about sex...;)
lol crossy
sex is sex NB
this is an occasion... more men in here than women?
rare but it happens
ya know dorens.. very few
functional families I mean
Dysfunctional family Christmas Carol from Saturday Night Live...Daddy's nose is red and runny, Daddy's voice is gruff and funny, and the only three words I understand are GOD and DAMN and Christmas!
most people I know (maybe that's just whom I'm drawn to??), when you get to know them, you find there is dysfunction in the family
hmmm
I agree Dorens. I know no one with a pristine past when it comes to families.
what does that say about mankind
some families do it better than others though. not that I'm going to get competitive about it :P
that life is tough?
<---doesn't have a pristine past
That we're human, Ruru.
are you telling me Newt Gingrich is human?
i wouldn't go that far
Or John Edwards.. ewww
Ooo, ooo, Dysfunctional Family Poker. I'll see your alcoholic Mother and raise you with my physically abusive Father.
I actually liked hearing him in a debate which shows you how politcally shallow I am
lol when we were kids my brother and i were evil and daddy was always yelling at us,he used to say to me"jesus christ! will you stop touching that!!" or say to my brother"god dammit! will you leave your brother alone?!" then one day i was playing with the family t.v and dad says to me"god dammit! will you leave that alone?!" i turned to him and said "dad,i thought my name was jesus christ"...i do not remember much after that....
lol
dysfunctional family monopoly....
the most high rent would be the mother in law row of hotels
i find that when you go off on your own to make your way in the world,if you can keep all other members of the family at least a 3 hour drive away, you will be fine
I remember fondly the last two words I ever said to my father
preferraBly a 3 hour flight away
we can imagine what they were
boy is THAT true crossy
never have them too close
*doren is one smart cookie*
i find that the kids i'm working with... 90 % of the ones with problems in school have what we call the PI classification (parentally impaired). Parenting should require lessons and licensing
je concur
they never come with am instruction manual sadly
au contraire, the concerned parent can now get classes in how to wake their kids up in the morning
who would write it..Dr. Phil?
*smirk*
lol
Dr Phil to child: you can't eat anything until you eat your beets... "how's that workin' fer ya"
they can GET the classes nb, but the ones who need to DON'T
NOBODY needs a class in how to wake a child. If you're too stupid to wake one up you probably haven't figured out how to make one.
you don't have to have brains to make a child...take George Bush for example
my point exactly, Ruru ;)
<---loves beating up on George Bush
i used to march into his room at 6 am,peel all the covers off and toss them in the hall and bang a garbage can lid with a stick over top of his head...works every time;)
i didn't mean that anyone needs a class in how towake a child, but for other things... the parents who do go to parenting workshops are the ones who don't need them as much
but he's too easy a target for you ru... anyone can make fun of that bozo
true..
after a few sessions like that,he set his own alarm clock lol
I never woke up in the morning; I got home in the morning ;)
Cross, you stole that Jesus Christ/God Dammit thing from Bill Cosby
oh crossy..like I'd believe YOU are up at 6
me too NB
id did,molly caught me out;)
i used to get up a 5:15 am when running my other station ruru
ugh
my best sleep is from 4-7 a.m.
heaven forbid the almighty customer if he cannot get gas at 6:01 am!
as you can guess,i have been in customer service waaaay to long lol
really????????
lol
god bless them all;)
ew, I can't even think about jobs right now. as soon as you start working with the public you find out that at least 1/5 people are just totally bonkers
only 1/5th?
i give it a 50/50 split
as a matter of fact i may be bonkers myself now...
i am running a shell station this time around, and as you may or may not knowshell takes and gives air miles.well the air miles company decided to charge dealers at smaller sites with less volume more per air mile than the big boys.so they had the nerve to try and charge me 30 cents per mile! so i cancelled the program.WELL! you would of thought i was raping their 18 year old daughters the way the customers are carrying on! but gas marines are too tight for me to give you 3 dollars of air miles with your gas;((
<--- not sure I have a complete grip on reality myself
Yeah, a fifth. I don't count toddlers because they're not really mad, but more like little drunk people.
good thing about going crazy ruru, when it happens to you..you will not know it;)
that's what makes us more interesting, ru, and i think far more than 20%!
margins*
maybe things are different in North America then ;)
mind you, if they're not crazy, they're coughing all over you.
quite possibly
it the north american grease content that does it nb;)
and up here it is the snow that drives us round the bend
and i mean snow..not that dusting you got at heathrow lol
Merry Christmas Eve! Just popping in to relay greetings to you all.. will be back when the sweet potato casserole is in the oven (-:
merry christmas aloy!!
you too aloy
I wouldn't know; I haven't even seen the snow this year.
Just popped in for a half-hour sit down. Crossy, been meaning to ask, how do Canada's airports operate in the snow? A serious question, just wondering what they do?
probably a whole lot of plowing!
sally, they have millions in snow removal equipment and use plows in tandem in what is called a conga line and can clear a full runway in an hour
Seasons greetings all. Sally - I was wondering the same thing myself....
then they stagger the landing patterns to different runways in sequence and clear each as needed throughout the day
Thanks. It was interesting that they said Gatwick fared much better than Heathrow because they have twice the amount of equipment and snow-clearning people than Heathrow, despite being half the size. Thought what happened at Heathrow was despicable! Someone needs some crisis management lessons.
I need to go out for the day with the doggy..we are running errands.. have a nice day everyone..
Cross, Dan told me about how the plows go down the highways four abreast. That must be awesome to see.
it is indeed molly
Bye Ruru and happy holidays.
later ruru
There is a difference of course, because we can have years and years without snow, whereas I think you are pretty much guaranteed to get it!
And hi everyone :-)
the ones for the airport are similar but larger and the end part of the conga line uses what is called a sno-blast a large machine with a big auger and blower that can heave it all 60 feet or more
yes sally you plan for the optimum
I think thats exactly it, Sally. They are very reluctant to invest in equipment which will very probably be obsolete next time this weather happens.
the colder and snowier the climate, the more sophisticated your snow removal becomes. I remember living in NYC and it was pathetic. Some streets didn't get plowed for days and even weeks. Then we moved to CT, and they're clearing it the minute the first flake falls. First comes the sand and salt and then a bit later the plow comes
anyways must go hose down this mass of muscle..back soon semi-poof
Someone was talking to me the other day about why we don't have snow tyres. Well, because they would be on and off all winter (like a whore's knickers my husband would say!). Next week, for instance, we have sunny days and good temperatures forecast.
We use all season radials
can't believe we ran out of grit, though. I mean, it's grit. it's just lying around on the ground.
That's probably the wrong sort of grid NB!
Roll on sunny days and good temperatures!! (Over here, we have been promised high winds and torrential rain, which should be interesting added to the water caused by the long-awaited thaw...)
! Grid should have read grit!
It's probably the wrong sort of grid too :-)
LOL Sal.
NB, I hope you are getting reasonable food in hospital, my experience is that they don't cope too well with vegetarians.
Dia duit, soodles! Hey all!
Pfff, I'm a vegan; nobody copes well with vegans
I cope w/ vegans
Oh, sorry! What are you doing then? Is Frank smuggling food into you :-)
Nollaig shona duit, Mama. (Happy Christmas) :-)
:-D. I found a free program to learn irish!
Talking dirty again, soodle?
To you too Soodle
But all I could remember this morning is hello. *sigh*
haha...Frank is indisposed. The half liver I'm currently enjoying came from him, so he's resting up from that in a regular ward.
With me, nancy boy, I just pull the "fatal allergy" ploy and they hop to it.
NB, pardon me for being dim. I just "got" why you're in the hospital and what Frank did for you. That is love buddy, big love.
Oh wow. I knew you had had surgery but not that. Poor you, and what a lovely thing for Frank to do. How lucky you are the same group or whatever.
WHAT??? My love and blessings are on Frank today! He is me hero!
merry christmas everyone! so who's taking care of the kitties if you're both in the hospital?
Yikes. WELL DONE Frank! What an amazing guy. Serious hugs to both of you.
Giving up half a liver sounds like serious stuff
I should think the last thing you are interested in is food.
Frank is a hero
I'll tell him you all said so; thank you :) and hello, Wild! the kitties (three of them now!) are being well-looked after - good friend of ours has moved into the flat whilst we're here, and is stopping them from killing the curtains.
3 I know :)
What a really beautiful person Frank must be. All our thoughts are with you both, you know that.
That's a good friend, too. :-)
oh, it's an amazingly regenerative organ, Bichon! I have half, he has half; within two months we should both have a whole one...that's amazing.
(PS can you guess how many lame jokes there's been around the whole "so you have his organ inside you?" thing?)
scuse me while I am busy decorating my keyboard with maple syrup (ugh)
I learned of this when my boss was having liver troubles NB. It's miraculous what the liver does.
and mouse apparently
I didn't know that, about the regeneration. I know you're hoping to come out on Boxing Day, but how long will Frank have to be in?
Both get out on the same day...he is doing fantastically. He's been up and walking around! Sucks that I can't see him though.
Well, I should wander off and get my day started... nancy boy, you be good *stern but loving mama look* and do what you need to heal. Half that is for Frank, too. I will be back tomorrow.
tc mama
Soodles, did your boy get home???
so what happens when you get out nb? are you quarantined to the flat?
I might go to bed now, and hopefully sleep through tomorrow.
Ah well. I'll hear that bit o news later. *hugs and choclits for all* *poof*
Sleep well NB.
for the first three months Wild, yeah! then I get the joy of hunting down a job that includes none of the things I enjoy, since they're too dangerous for my medically weakened immune system. yayyy...
He did, Mama! Thank goodness. Its great to have him round - even though I see very little of him... his back as he roots in the fridge, his back as he disappears out the door, etc, but its great to have him round.
Night NB. Take care & much love to Frank
(not that I'm bitter or anything ;))
it's going to work out nb. rest up and tc and hugs to you and Frank
{{hugs}} to NB and Frank! May you both have a wonderful New Year ahead.
natural feelings ... time will heal those too
*tackles NB* (((jesse)))
Gently with him Eva.
Well, I'll cross that bridge when it comes to it, I guess. Honestly I've been trying not to think about the future because with no job and no alcohol it's just TOO grim. Half joking ;)
yes, all of my tackles are laden with gentleness and healthy vibes. :)
Gosh Eva, my sutures :P ((Eva)) merry christmas eve, gorgeous!
But you have your life and you have Frank. Be glad for those if you can :-)
brb
no grim thoughts today - I'm so glad I walked into this Christmas story, NB all my love and BIG HUGS to you and to Frank, just focus on healing day by day - you have great things ahead
sure. you have to put to rest the part of your life that's over and adjust to what lies ahead
any clues out there for the 7 letter words? i dont have any.
as7 pl as6
Please take care of yourself, NB. You mean so much to us!!
didnt expect to be online today, but figured i would pop in for a moment. im a lean, mean, gift-wrapping machine today. :)
Eva, please come over and wrap my stuff.
that's the difficult bit, Wild. I'm only 20! I wasn't finished with that part of my life yet!
and while you're here you can finish my baking
heh, it will probably take me all day. i started last night + only got the hubbys stuff!
still have to wrap all of my other gist PLUS all the ones he bought too!
but, this is sounding ungrateful. Obviously, I'm very happy and lucky to still be alive, so I'll try and concentrate on that.
i have one as 6 a nd it is plural. is there another one?
I understand. It's a process definitely. No, you don't sound ungrateful. You sound like you're adjusting.
just found another as6 that you can plural, mkg
NB, I'm chalking up all my "dim" points. "No alcohol"...referring to Frank as "half liver"...I really should have gotten this sooner. And NB, I promise, I'll pick up your slack where the alcohol is concerned. What are friends for, anyway?
NB did you see my post (below) - sending you lots and lots of transatlantic love
clues for it needed please.
it's what's known as a mixed blessing nance ... happy to be alive but not overjoyed about what may lie ahead
LOL Molly. How very gracious of you :P
as + what you do on water hopefully in a boat!
(((JBV))) thank you :) I lost it in the chog flow - very glad I went back and read it though! Lots of love back atcha :)
ty. got it.
NB, you got a very special Christmas present. Thanks for sharing that with me. It will be in my gratitude prayers.
that is one 7. so now what is a clue for the as 7 which is past tense? this was a plural.
I think I'm finally on the last of the cooking that I'm doing. Whew. These holidays can be brutal.
pl = plural
Will be praying for you at church today, NB. Frank too. Two wonderful people who I am lucky enough to know through Babble.
ok. sorry thought it was pt.
how abpout a clue for o words please?
don't have them either mkg
some CHristmas irony for you - (and I'm not saying this to bring anyone down, I'm actually smiling): for years my husband has been saying "Let's cut down the Christmas excess, frenzy, hubbub, etc. and just make it simple" and so this is the simplest yet, and he's not here to enjoy it .....
well, thank you very much everyone :) I'm very appreciative for all the good wishes...but at six pm this former party animal is now ready to turn in. So I'll say goodnight to you all now...sweet dreams and enjoy christmas if you're into that! x
nite NB. Mega {{hugs}}
jbv, sad and yet...............not.
night jesse and tc ((((((((((hugs)))))))))))
I have done NO Christmas shopping, NO cards, NO decorations, etc. and yet we will have a peaceful Christmas just thinking of the important things - the ones we love (and that includes all of you!)

I am in a good state of mind - worry not
aww JBV. Right back at ya!
aww ty jbv..(((christmas hugs)))
oh, and NO cooking - best of all - I am going to my sister's house tomorrow and staying over til Monday -
that's even better, jbv. I bought the food but my sister is cooking!
she will cook up a storm - and she's great!
tried syliva and no go. such a bizarre grid.

hello all
hi molly and peri
Hi Pini and Peri. Merry Christmas.
Happy Holidays...
You better promise Pini ;)
NB what time is it where you are. it is almost 4pm on Fri where I am. I can send Reiki any time of the day or night doesn't matter. but want to know the time difference anyway
Merry Christmas all.
I should best be on my way...have a little shopping to do (last minute items for dinner tmw) and a bit more yarn for my project...
I'm a total trash TV addict Molly :P but no TV in here. Trying to tease my laptop into working as one, but to no avail...
Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it
oops, not one but TWO grid words in there. sorry, sorry!
oooh, good luck braving the shops Pini!
I have a few minutes to Babble and chat before I need to get ready for dinner.
hi/bye wht...happy holidays all...cya l8r!
it iiiis three minutes to nine in the evening, Peri. Which is good, because that means this day is nearly over. And by extension tomorrow is nearly over too ;)
(thx NB!!)
is it still Fri there, NB
Hello, Wht :) merry christmas to you too!
yep...STILL Friday...this day has dragged on...
NB, I wish I lived closer. I would bring you movies to look at on your lap top. Do you have any books to read?
I got fireworks so will be off for now
bye
aww Molly, what a kind thought :) yep, I've been reading like a madman but managed to exhaust the supply of books I had with me...read Jonathan Franzen's 'The Corrections' last, awesome book, I love it..
NB, sometimes hospitals have library carts. You could ask. It might give you something new to read.
wait NB what have i missed?! are you ok, dear?
They'd have to sterilise 'em first Molly :P one of the nurses coughed on me a few days ago and now I have a bangin' cold, ugh.
Hiya, Good :) yes, perfectly fine now, thank you! well, on the mend, anyway.
Oops...I may be alive and well(ish), but the chat has died a death.
sending warm wishes across the pond jessie ((HUGS))
well thank you, Good :) and ooh, I didn't know you knew my first name. Cool!
(though it is Jesse and not Jessie...stops it from being a girl's name :P)
hey all
hey all
hello, Jen. Oh, what a cute cat!
thanks....that is my 'sister"
Calico is her name and she is a manx cat, no tail and she lives with my parents
good name for her :) got three myself, to keep my hands full!
Hello there NB....I do hope you are feeling a lot better
sometimes my mom will call and say "you'll never guess what your sister did
hey, Kallia :) oh, fine, thank you! just a bit bored and lonely, in here all by myself. hope you and yours are all well?
All fine thank you :) Not nice to be in isolation, especially at this time of year.
fireworks :)
awww, well that figures, Jen - they are such a part of the family. ours are all our babies. though I'm really too young to be a father of three ;)
wtg waver
Fireworks for me as well
well done, Waver :)
wd waver
Hang in there NB.
ty
don't think I am going to finish
good to hear, Kallia! well, I don't mind about christmas - I'm never very christmas-spirity anyway, since this time last year I'd just been booted out of my family. So no loss for me, really.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night (or morning) (or afternoon) :)
thanks, Wht :) will do - nothing else to do around here!
Maybe those monster grids earlier this week were an early Christmas present for you NB.
hope you are getting lots of phone calls and messages from friends though....keep your spirits up
(((Nancy Kiddo))) hey all!
Hi stid
hi stid
Nancy Boy! get online books from the gutenberg project!
lol Wht...Dr God responding to my plight. and hi again, Stid!! We must stop meeting like this..
(you walking in on me having a moan, that is ;))
how is everyone? I just got home from shopping -- not holiday stuff, just shopping. First time ever that ALL of the cashiers were open, and there were still backups!
oh well -- I go on about my relatively minor infirmities all the time. I suppose you are entitled, eh? *grin*
Well. I need to go. We have people coming for dinner in an hour.
I'm all done with Christmas prep...last batch of mince pies cooling, and I've just snuck away for a little peace lol
Hello Mama, Kalia, Nancy, Whd, Kalia and assorted lurkers. Greetings from minus 22 degrees here :-P
later wht, have a lovely evening!
Happy Christmas to those who celebrate and Happy Babbling to all.
hey again soodles! :-D
And stay warm Soodles
have a good evening wht
hello soodle....I gert two hellos, how nice :)
so soodles -- did your boy get home?? I asked earlier, but had to leave before you replied.
oh that is cold soodle
-22 F or -22 C?
cold either way...
aww Stid, I never see you complaining!
Yes, Stid, the boy wonder is home. Thank goodness. All my chicks are roosting at home right now. There is a candle burning in our front room window, indicating there is room here for any stray travellers. There is the aroma of ham baking, with cloves and mustard, and all is well with my world. :-)
you must be timing it right, then, nancy boy! LOL ((hugs))
soodles, that makes me so happy -- I was worried his ferry got stuck or canceled or something. So happy your family is home and safe. I can smell the ham. Makes me hungry!
*Grabs Stid so that we may plan to decorate NB's room while he sleeps with tiny white lights, figgy pudding and visions of sugar plums for whilst he sleesps*
Its minus 22F. Absolutely shattered all 'Cold' records here. So far, I have had burst pipes in the attic, resulting in a flooded house, and now, the waste pipe from my washing machine has frozen, leading to more flooding. Sheesh
((hugs)) right back atcha Stid! at the risk of sounding pathetic, I feel like that's what I need - a great big hug off my mum, or something.
ick. I am allergic to figs. could we just leave lots of candy canes and lovely gluten-free vegan cookies?
WHAM!!! HUGE MOM HUG HEADED STRAIGHT FOR NB!
That doesn't sound pathetic NB....have a big hug and cuddle from me
LOL careful what you ask for kiddo! *****BIG PROTECTIVE MAMA HUGS*****
Hugs from here too, Nancy....
LOL! Molly...you do make me laugh :P
;-) see?
there you go NB, smoothered with hugs :)
okay ladies, let the boy breathe...
well thanks, mummies ;) or mommies if you prefer. Or ummas if you're Korean like me. ;)
rofl... that is so funny. If we were closer, we'd set that whole hospital straight around you!
How about plum pudding Stid? You okay with that? We can't soak it in brandy though. We'll have to find some organic way to flambe it.
well -- if the alcohol gets burned off it's okay, right? instead of soaking, we could just pour a little over the top and light it. Like crepes
never actually had plum pudding, to be honest.
If you've had mince meat, you know what plum pudding tastes like. *HOLDS UP SHIELD TO WARD OFF ALL BRITISH COMPLAINTS ABOUT THAT STATEMENT*
At the age of 50, I am slightly embarrassed to refer to him as my boyfriend, so I will say that my 'Special Friend' has just given me the most adorable necklace as a Christmas gift. I am soooooooooo happy
Mother used to make lovely mincemeat pies. Except the citron. blah. *yuck face for citron*
LOL...just made a zillion mince pies
actually I lie...3 dozen
woo-hoo!!! *approving mama look at "special friend"*
I use orange in mine
And, special he is......
orange would be lovely, I think. but the candied citron that comes from stores should be outlawed.
Nancy Boy -- are you eating solid foods yet?
Aw Soodle. Good for you. Call him your stud muffin.
I agree stid
Ehhh, no real appetite, I'm afraid. I'm all full up with...liver :P
NB do you guys get the show "Brothers & Sisters" over there. There was as story line about liver donation and they did a series of hysterical dream sequences after that.
that's okay -- just wondered if all this talk of comestables might be a bit much? would you prefer to talk about music or weather or good books we haven't read (yet)?
Christmas and Holiday Greetings to all from sunny southern CA
hey west!
hey stiddy
that "sunny" comment -- for real or tongue in cheek? you haven't washed away, I take it!
Hey West. Happy Holidays!
we left the cold and snow behind to spend Christmas with our daughter and son-in-law
well watch for cybernan while you're down there! LOL
Oooh lucky you, Westford.
ahh, no worries, Stid! the side effects of the drugs I'm on go from A-Z, so nausea is par for the course!
Hmmmm, I believe I've heard of it, Molly - never seen it though! Hysterical dreams? Chance would be a fine thing - might liven things up :P
well gee. *worried mama look* I hope you get over that bit soon!
well that's my peace shattered, son and partner just arrived......Happy Christmas, Happy holidays and may your god go with you
enjoy Kallia! ((hugs)) peace be with you and yours.
Moll - \brothers and sisters is shown here, very late at night.
Right back atch Kallia. Happy Christmas.
a nudge for an O please? my last blank tile
ok really gone now lol
No worries Stid. Honestly, and this is probably TMI, the worst side effect is...weeeell, it really increases one's sex drive!
Ohhh, enjoy your christmas, Kallia!! x
Mama, do you have the ot* plus Ms Gardner - old time actress?
rofl! yes, Nancy Boy -- mamas don't need to know about sex drive... LOL
thanks soodles *thinking*
got them! NBT! and down to 54.
quite ;)
should head out before I re-trigger the migraine.
hi all. what's this about mama's and sex drive???
((((many gentle hugs for all my babble friends)))) I am so glad I was here when you were online!
aww, migraines?? I should say you should, in that case! Not fun - take care :( x
hey doren! ask Nancy Boy -- that's HIS thread! LOL
LOVE the 8-ball helmet in your icon -- your descendent, I take it?
tils
levi (brother of Phoebe)... and the helmet says nutcase... which he sort of is, in a very good way
thanks Nancy Boy, I am on the downslope from this one so not bad now.
GO GOOD GO!!! *puts eggnog and cookies in PB*
i guess the calories of the eggnog wouldn't hurt on this one night... maybe I'll head in there myself
very cute, doren! I'll be back online later... *wanders out, sipping hot cider and nibbling on mincemeat* *poof*
s'later, Stid. Thanks for the comfort :)
oops guess i can't babble and do my nails at the same time. thanks for the treats stid!

Happy Christmas to those Christians in Babbleland.
Merry Christmas, Everyone :)
Off to church. Merry Christmas babblers (or happy Festivus if you wish).
Festivus?
Festivus is a secular celebration at this time of year.
Is it for Christians or everybody? What does one do to elebrate?
Ok thats me done too!!
It's a Seinfeld creation
A very happy and peaceful Christmas to Babblers all over the world..X
ai
The best laid schemes...travel delayed.
Anyway, a very happy Christmas to all.
I think Festivus might be a big celebration at Boca Vista Phase 4
We misread the ferry schedule, and the one we planned on was only running in Sept and Oct. So now I have to take the one that's over 2 hours later :-(
At least it's running, in spite of the high winds today.
boca vista phase 4? sounds kind of star trek!
Where are you headed Jilli?
Heading from Salt Spring Island to Vancouver to Mission BC.
Festivus includes the ritual of gathering your family around and telling each one how they disappointed you. It's a Costanza thing.
Won't get there until about 8 pm :-(
hi jill -- merry christmas :)
Thanks, nan -- and to you too.
LOL Kaplan. Just let me at 'em.
Have a safe journey...are you expecting bad weather any time soon?
Well, the delay let me finish this grid, anyeay.
(still can't type)
Hello all!
Sea Spray, the weather has been bad all day -- lots of rain and high winds -- more to come for Christmas day.
Hi ormal!
I must go now and glaze a ham (cover your ears NB) and get ready to go visiting this evening...Merry christmas everyone...Be safe Jilli

Ormal, I just read your bio -- may your Christmas be much merrier that what has led up to it, and may you have a very happy new year!
Any more clues needed? If not, I think I'll go and do a jigzone puzzle.
Thank you very much jilli
You're welcome, Ormal.
And now I guess I'll say bye-bye, and NB, you know I wish you well.
*poof* for now.

i am tired and mind numb from dealing with the customers today...like the running of ze bools at the station lol
Well, my work is done for the day. Oldest decided not to come for Christmas Eve, so it's just the youngest and I. I made stromboli and pasta salad and we watched "Polar Express" by the fireplace. Very nice.

is stidmama here tonight?
have a nice quote for her...
I have come to believe that a great teacher is a great artist and that there are as few as there are any other great artists. Teaching might even be the greatest of the arts since the medium is the human mind and spirit.
She was about earlier. I think she has plans with Gran Mere and Gran Pere tonight.
Nice quote Cross.
john steinbeck
I think I'm going to pop "White Christmas" in, simply because it's such a classic. How gorgeous was Rosemary Clooney back in those days?
i was debating miracle on 34th st

Excellent NB. Next thing you know, you'll be rockin' around the Christmas tree. : P
only if it's a special, sterilised christmas tree ;)
ty,. got it.
i need ca 7 please. i have the six before it if it is similar.
oops i just got it. sorry.
with all these christmas icons we could have a total babble nativity though. as I come from the east, I nominate myself as a wise man.
*Getting a sterilized camel and some frankincense for NB* It goes without saying that I do not qualify as the Virgin.
clue for hi 6 please?
I don't know Molly. The nativity was set about 2000 years ago. Even I was a virgin then ;)
*lowering the tone*
: P You have a point NB.
even so, that blue-veil ensemble is kind of dull. you can always count on a wise man to be wearing something suitably flamboyant and swishy, however..
time to go. I find this offensive.
anyone into giving clues? i need some please.
all apologies; was not meant that way.
Sorry TO, we'll drop it. Didn't mean to offend.

Hi BDG. I am looking for those O words and just tried OTAY.

((Crossy)) Enjoy the weekend and Boxing Day!
(((scrabby)))
I should go to bed now as I must get up at 6 am.
ot**w* is in canada.. change that w to another consonant
(i think we all tried otay!) you on call tomorrow scrabbler?
rrrrr, found the silly Os at last
poor scwabby,you on call?
oh, i see your excellent clue, dorens, ty five seconds too late LOL
TY, Doren. We split the weekend up (as we did for Thanksgiving weekend) so I am on call til 8am tomorrow and then from Sun 8am til Mon 8am.
I have had calls like this: Mother of 7 mo old baby: "My mother told me to call you and get an antibiotic for the baby so she doesn't get pneumonia and we end up in the ER on Xmas Day."
preventative antibiotics? lordy lordy
my dr,is charry with antibiotics,he says too many drs are creating super bugs
Then: "My son just started with a headache, should I bring him to the ER to see if he has a brain tumor?" Of course NO pain reliever had even been given.
I am very strict with antibiotic use--I use them when appropriate. Most illnesses in kids are viral.
i have stopped cleaning the thrown with bleach -- the germs in there thrive on it -- now i use vinegar
i mean the throne, OY
My cleaning products = vinegar + baking soda, but not together.
mmmm, sounds like a hellova salad dressing lol
crossy does vinegar and soda together..i like the foamies;))
For NBT I need help with 4th row, left A.
It is fun to do that!
i have one, scrabbler, it starts withha double vowel
And what comes after the double vowel, LOL

here is a very interesting quote....
A book lying idle on a shelf is wasted ammunition. Like money, books must be kept in constant circulation. Lend and borrow to the maximum.

dunnon about a list, still hunting list-free here lol

just dealing with public at work,dr appts, shopping, etc, etc, but my whining is nothing many are having a tough time this year(((mP))) and makes one gratefull to have what they do
no good -- I don't know what triggered this one, actually. it came without aura (unusual) was just a "headache" I thought until the middle of making supper that evening and it sort of exploded. hit pretty hard. Have now refilled the migraine medicine that had run out... *sigh*
I see cross. yes, running around like that is very tiring.
and i must head off and wrap the last of the presents and maybe the wife and i will sneak a rum and eggs nog before beddie bye...
Blessings Babble Family. I'm off for some visions of sugar plums. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas. Extra hugs for ((((MPitt)))).

hey Doren! YAY! 53 clues please...
His funeral service was given by a minister that was brilliant...so powerful...the church was filled beyond capacity and they said over 500 were there...he spoke to the people and said the way to honor their friend Robby was to not do the crazy things that led up to this etc...
stidmama, do you have my icon clue word? I can clue too
My sis-in-law and her family have a very strong faith and that is helping them immensely...so that is good for them...
thanks Min! will look more closely at your icon.
well MPitt, I hope that their good memories and the support of the community will help you all at this sad time.

i don't have it, but i found the ca 7.44
do tell. . .
same as the 7, less one letter
ah, it's the same, different spelling, aka manioc
i have the 6/21
manioc??
Manioc is the name in Ghana, it's called by the CA word in rest of English West Africa, and is called i forget what in Spanish
root veggie
ah!
ca is the name in Kenya
ah, so mayhap in most of English Speaking Africa, then
ty dc
ah, yuca! duh
hmm it looked similar to the yuca now that you mention it
hi6?
i almost never use the English word, so manioc/ca6 and 7 are filed separately from yuca in my brain
very Last AS please?
use the high point tile stiddie and only 1 s
then I will head out and spend time with my doggie...
