ty dee
How do you like this new (to me) word -- "catastrophize"? (Describing the mental trend of the Vancouver Canucks hockey team.)
great word jilli
yw... sorry joey know nothing about cats
Heard on the radio as I drove home from bridge...
thanks Dee for tu7
yw
my door cat had kittens seven weeks ago, and tonight she is acting the same way as she did the night before she had 5 kittens
dee -- have all the 7's you called except for a third te -- what am I missing? (have the ai)
here is what the website says: How Long is the Gestation Period The standard gestation period for cats is about 60 to 70 days, the equivalent of about two months. This will be a period of ups and downs for your pregnant cat. She may go from being contented and affectionate, to agitated, and back again during this time. One thing you can be relieved about is that you won't have to deal with the annoyances of a female cat in heat during that time. A cat will not go into heat again until after the babies are born. http://www.petyak.com/cats/kittens/ges tation-period-for-cats.aspx
joey, cats usually go into heat at specific times of year. Kittens are usually born in the very early spring (like yours) or later in the early fall in my experience. I don't think she could be pregnant with new babies. I think gestation is 90 days. Of course I am not a doctor, I only play one on TV : )
found the te, so am just missing one now
all 7's listed at 12:54 and 12:55
joshuavorbis was missing the du, now one left 12:54 amjoshuavorbis ou 12:54 amVolleymomDee ty 12:54 amjoshuavorbis de 12:54 amVolleymomDee here are my 7's: du, he x 2; mi; se; sh x 2; te x 3; ti; tu; un x 2 3 short

list + ai and de -- still one missing
ah -- there is an ou 7?

crazy word -- do your sums better than anyone else
TY jilli
evening all :) sun just going down and been a lovely day. luv my family and in-laws
happy dance for mr.p!!!
yw galnt -- I hope vanilla sees it
morning Mr P - lovely sunshine here too but I am off to work soon
ah work... grrrrr
Hello mrp -- lots of rain and chill here again, lol!
is this grid half decent today?? no 'hair ripping fish'??
oh, ust noticed -- well over halfway
*just
hi jilli (hugs) still coming to see you... you can't scare me away with your horror stories of weather!
hard, but decent. It's gorgeous here, cool at night, 75-80F in the afternoons but we need rain!
maddison is really looking forward to meeting you, mamabear, nut and movieman
I hope it will be nice by September, mrp!
jilli and flosey, do you like Alice Munro's "Canada stories"?
ruby, you can have some of ours!
oh ruby! hate it when it is dry!! wishing you rain (indian rain dance!)
this has been such a weird winter, no snowe in the mountains so I think the lake will get very low this summer
Ruby, I'm ashamed to say I haven't read them -- just know she's a great writer.
ty mrp!
and I made little "dresses" for the strawberry plants to keep some moisture in
some of the stories are linked and very beautiful
I am re-reading them, some for the third time!
I am trying to get my friend online to play this babble game from sydney... we are Lexelousing a lot for sanity and company. Hope to get her here soon and reintroduce you all to her.
I think Runaway is the name of this anthology
I must get that out of our library
I play lex, too, under the name nelliekelley
she is definitely worth reading
lex blitz and lex facebook
back again, ruby, I've never read Alice Munro, must look her up
I play lex in spurts -- have a bunch or waiting games <blush>
one of my lex buddies is from Australia, too, named Robyn, from Hervey Bay
so do I jilli
I think you will be touched by here work
you are always welcome to play spurt games with me,
I play with jac and dorens too
pls look for me, jilli, I play for a little while each evening
flosey, I found that ou6/27, clued at 2:13
I play with dorens sometimes and seain in FB lex
i also love bejeweled blitz! that is just plain fun!
ooooh, dcs would be great to play lex with
i will have to send him an invite too
I play bejeweled 3, it's fun
ruby, please if you want a sporadic player, I am your gamer
dorens is a killer at lex!
isn't it flosey! I get all excited in the last 15 seconds!! my 'rush' for the day
OK, nelliekelley in FB lex or in Sowpods or other Blitz
what is bejeweled 3?
I play every evening between 7:30 and 8:40 (rigid schedule -- aaarghh!)
The lex I play is in FB -- I'll start one with you, ruby, next time I go there.
it's a grid, looks like our babble grid but has jewels that you match up
please, I would like that
do you use the same name?
I do NOT play every day -- sometimes not for weeks!
bejeweled is matching lines of at least three of the same shapes/colours and getting points from big wins.... ie, 5 in a row
I use my real name on FB, ruby
jilli, what time is it there?
I'll always be there to check!
ruby, are you a friend on facebook with me?
here it's now 12:25 am, Tuesday April 26
that's why FB lex is good since you only do one more a day most of the time, my regular partners are in the US, South Africa, Australia
I don't think so but would love to be. I am Nancy Kelley in FB but I think there are many with the same name but my e-mail address is in my profile
one move* a day
here it's 9:25 AM, Tues Must be nighttime for you, MrP
so jilli, if I play you on lex, I would have to play you at 12.30pm.... assuming you are talking about 7.30pm
phantom retinue
I'm the regular 7:30PM person....
ok, I can add you as a friend in FB if that is ok??
I've been so busy with new computer woes etc, and the Babble grids have been so huge or so hard, plus all the regular chores, that I haven't been lexing lately
and retina, glanta!
mrp, I'm not the one with the regular schedule -- that's rubyfoo. But time doesn't matter on FB lex...
I do very little beside gardening, cooking, reading and playing games. And yesterday the gorgeous heron came back! It is amazing to see such a big bird in our garden; he is magnificent!!
it is 5.30pm tuesday here
what colour is your heron, ruby
oh sorry jilli!! looking at wrong chat!! my apologies
no prob, mrp!
mostly grey but with white and blue bands on the shoulders and a yellow crest. They call it "heron cendre"
how fabulous, ruby!
back in Ontario, we had a green one from time to time in the creek behind our home
here we have blue/grey
the nice thing about lex on FB is that you can play whenever you want and leave messages with the games, so both the chats and games are greatly attenuated
hey, gang -- did you notice? There wasn't a hiccup -- or did I miss it while having my banana break?
there was a hiccup
my husband had a small green one in Miami that ate ALL his fish in his pond. I've put the antique bronze one back on the pond as well as Sally's pond nets and the fish are just being careful, not being eaten
I guess I missed it then
you must have missed it jilli, I had red boxes, had to go out and come back
there was but yu were having your M & B!
godd timing, eh?
*good
you have it down pat, jilli
only 63 words but I had better get dressed. Hope to see you later, either here or in Lex, folks
ttfn ruby!
bye ruby!
must go, taking a dear old friend in Victoria to lunch tomorrow, catching the 9:50 ferry, better get to bed, 39 words for tomorrow
goodnight all
I am half way now so can go to work LOL - good job I'm on flexitime!
bye flosey
Well, 57 left and bedtime -- well done flosey -- goodnight all!....*poof*
bye ruby - missed your going while getting coffee
night jilli
*poof* - off to work
nite to all you leaving us for beddiebye! (xox)
*Unpoof...if ruby comes back and anyone here sees her, please tell her I tried to start a Lex game with "nelliekelly" on FB but it didn't work. A search turned up lots of Nellie Kellys (none were her) but no nelliekelly. Sigh!
*repoof*
hi everyone, dropped out there a while ago. Come back because ou6/27 is bothering me. Any clues?
ou6/27 - in the mental maths competition the winner was the one who could ou6/27 the rest.
nice Haz TY
Hello everyone
You're welcome - evening lynxxx.
ty Haz what a funny word
Glad the clue worked, vanilla.
yes, thanks, can now happily leave the last three to later -- poof
Bye, vanilla.
back for a few {{lynxxx}}
hi Ruby
if jilli comes back, pls tell her it's kelley with an "e"! hahah
nothing like having a really common name! Did you know that in the US there is a Jim Johnson convention held every year and there are 1000's of them?
I lucked out both Maiden and Married names. Managed to name both my kids with the most popular names in their respective birth years. PS Ruby was our most common girls name last year - Jack for the boys name
that is so funny. When I named the black dog Max, I thought I was being original. It is the most common dogs' name in France and the US and for little boys , too.
Johnny Depp's boy is named Jack and his daughter is Lily Rose
My first dog was Rosie
I guess everyone else thinks they are being fairly original as well as ourselves!
the French have gone wild since they stoped requiring babies to have saints' names. Now they make up names, just like Americans, and use Ashley and Enzo and Mia (or variations) a lot
I named my son plain old John!
not Jon or Johnny.....
I['ve never liked my name, hence all the nicknames. There were 3 Nancy's in my elem school class
morning all - my son is called richard - i chose that so that it sounded okay for a little lad and for when he was grown up
morning Kazz
hello kaz, does he have nicknames?
I have a Michael, Zak Alfie and Christian - but he's so naughty "playgloop" reckon he comes from t'other place so we call him Joew until the terrible twos are over with ;)
there were a lot of Richards when I was little and they were often called Richie!
i couldnt use John cos that was my bro's name. yes he good - some of the good and some of them a bit sad - he was called Pooh when he was little - from Winnie the Pooh and my nieces call him Fishy cos they cant say Richard cos of a speech impediment
I love Zak Alfie, what a great (and original) name!
I call both dogs Poopy!
Sorry - lack of punctuation, that should say Zak and Alfie... sorry!
BBL Dinners is on
still good!
bon appetit, Lynxxx!
my friends little boy is Zak. Also in his time my son has been called Rick, Ritchie, Dick and unforetunately but funnily Dickie the SheepBoy
Dickie the Sheepboy is my favorite
is Zak actually Zachary on the birth certificates?
he also hates being called dick so thats the one we use most often to wind him up
my friends Zak is Zak
John's name is so common, that he uses his middle name (Reed) with it
Just Zak for mine - no middle name. And Alfie isnt an Alfred. I'm still not so sure I like that.
gee, that's what I call my DH! hahah
that is interesting about Zak
I believe all little boys need a good first name that can be shortened, so they KNOW when Mum is really ticked off!
richard has 3 middle names - Stephen, Thomas and Robert. \my name is Karen which i hate and my middle name is Maureen - thats my mums name and she is Maureen Shirley as Maureen O'Hara and Shirley Temple
Oh I love the name Karen - it's on my shortlist if I ever have alittle girl
what our parents don't know when they name us!!! I would have prefered Naomi or Natalie
that's a good point Gran - i only ever call Richard Richard when i needed to have stern words with him
Karen is a lovely name but I have a friend named Kareen (???)
well Karen was a good escape from Kalinka
I got Jane and I love it. Lucky me.
uh oh, kaz is in the PB. I'll make you some fresh coffee
very lucky - not faddish. If I had had a daughter, she would have been Elizabeth (for my mother, Libbie) Helen (for husband's mother
oops sorry - didnt even think about that and i had to reread the posts to see what i did
forgiven, kazzer!
but do you drink espresso?
I'm lost there Karen LOLs - PB?
using a word in the chat that's in the grid. Some days it's impossible to avoid and, occasionally, somebody's name is in it, e.g. peri
LOls - okay ta. We almost have herein today...
love expresso - i dropped a word in the chat that i shouldnt have
and I was looking for heron....uh oh, thirsty hoofbeats upstairs! see you laer
bye ruby
and my expresso comes with "George"! hahah, I wish
*poof*
Need to get up to date with the lingo - I often babble but dont post much as unless Im feeling very on the ball I tend to pout my words in the text box ;(
i dont always post - depends on my mood and time constraints - some times i only have a chance to babble for 20 minutes at a time and if its a big grid I'd rather get on with it
*unpoof again*... MESSAGE FOR RUBY... I tried to start a Lex game on FB with nelliekelly and it didn't work. I did a search for that name and got a lot of Nellie Kellys, none of whom lived where you do, and a lot of whom were private. Sigh!
Dang -- missed ruby again!!!
jilli she posted earlier its kelley
Oh thanks, Kazzer -- I'll try again! *re-repoof*
"No matches found" for nelliekelley either :-(
If i see ruby i will let her know
runniest
good afternoon all
*removing Kazzer's biggie from visible chog*
*removing Kazzer's biggie from visible chog*
*removing Kazzer's biggie from visible chog*

final few....
one more one more one more one more
jilli, can I email you?
Wow, I've never seen anyone flush the chog before. : D
lol :D Well, I thought people might prefer not to get a real biggie without trying to find it theirselves first ;)
I will message you through facebook jilli
I think jilli is asleep, mrP.
I understand Sprite. Sometimes I turn chat off this early when lots of the big clues are being given so I can try to find them on my own.
if I play early in the babble day, I do the same.
Just for today, I had found the one Kazz mentioned, so I am still a "virgin" : P
*giggles*
oh and I didn't flush a clue, just a wrong-box mistype of the full word :)
what is 'flush a clue'?
hello mrP. Molly just said I 'flushed' the chog. I made a grid word disappear by entering several posts.
Hi everyone
hello lickety
ah! got it
hi lickety!! miss you!
Hi sprite - Long time - how are things on your side of the planet?
mostly moving in the right direction, but right now things are kinda shaky. I heard you had some serious trouble :(
Hi Mrp and LIckety long time no see ... how are things with your fire ??
Hi Norma, fire is in the past now - just a bad memory
serious trouble... indeed. i would rather have anmesia than keep reliving that thing
It takes a while to get over something like that, my thoughts were with you
Only through hard times can we grow stronger
anyone arrested?
sprite - no - no evidence, case dropped
darn. That sucks.
we now have new issues... which are adding to the stress, and unfortunately, non of the new stresses are any of our fault in any way... just have to deal
there was evidence, but the links couldn't be established, the case is suspended
I know the kind, mrP. Very frustrating and unfair.
mrp - I read something the other day, something that has put a spark of an idea in my mind.
as long as it is a 'safe' spark
LOL
LOL
There are some major regional towns that are trying to promote sydney siders to move in,
there was even talk of a possible relocation bonus - government offered.
Are things that bad you would consider relocating ??
I'm thinking that there must be good schools, and with what I say today about a global classroom, it could be worth looking into to.
I love where I am... do you really think we should move?? and regional??
I could get work easy, and we could start fresh. Towns that are mentioned where Dubbo or Wagga Wagga
It has to be a large rural town of course to offer the kids the oportunities
no friggin way!!!
I will move to Lake Macquarie, Somersby, Morriset.... Tuggerah, but not Dubbo, not for anything
Norma - the cost of living in this city is rediculous. It's almost impossible for new families to buy their own home in an area that is safe.
Wagga Wagga is a farming community
We have friends that have visited Aus and they couldn't believe how expensive things were
Location is only important to be close to family and good resources for kids.
I would rather move to Forster
Taree even
mrp - sure - why not.
Look at Mermaid Pool near Lake Macquarie
I've got this intuition - this feeling that it's just what we need.
I want to stay close to Sydney... have my opportunities there
another epiphony ??
what opportunites exactlt?
anyways - it's a spark to breed, something to think about
lickety, this is a discussion for another time... I need to stop thinking about this for now
one point though : how good are the kids lives going to be if their parents are stressed out?
Positive thinking - that's all I'm focusing on - and not afraid of change - one that we have some control over.
how good are the kids education going to be other than where they are?? we can argue this, but I don't want to... they are staying at the school they are in because they are top acheivers of the year they are in.
That means that you are no open to the idea just yet
their friends are very good people and we have very smart kids with great friends. We stay until their education is done...
we can move! sure! but they have to be on the train line to get to school.
... indeed. ;-) I Love you!
love you too! glad you see the side of making sure the kids are getting the best out of life
hey what's going on here?
hi dJean
i am off to lex myself to sleep... maybe even have a vodka with your dad whilst playing poker or 21.
Well - I hope the Babblers didn't mind that little bit of chog log ;-) I have more opinions and more ideas - but it's early on.
ok mrp - nite!
bye mrP
nite hunny! sleep well please! luv ya
bye you lovely people good luck
see you all later!! :))
and bye lickety too
somebody give me the Reader's Digest version of what's going on?
bye all!
the very RD then... lickety and mrP had a scary experience when some idiot set fire to th5 car and almost home. They were just having a private conversation about moving away from said idiot and people like him.
um "private"?
as private as it can be in babble chog
don't they live in the same house? :-0
lol yes, but right now they aren't at the same place.
ah.........
Sometimes it helps to put ideas down in black and white that stops the disagreement escalating ...
ok... Jean, we were firebombed a month ago and car desintegrated and side of house on fire, but no one hurt.... however we found out it was deliberately set only 2 foot from our house, our car was used as a bomb so someone hates us. Then Lickety's contract hasn't been paid in 3 months... financial stress incredible! Then, I find out I have cervical cancer and PCOS and have to go to hospital, with no money to pay doctors or hospital excess, and I am terrified. The whole things has broken me and Mark is breaking but holding together. Shit happens in 3's apparently, so nothing else better get us down.
oh that is a lot!!
I'm so sorry to hear
I know some days the burdens seem unbearable
way too much
some days you just shake your head and scream "WTF?"
exactly jean... and cry for hours and shake and get mad as hell... but thankfully my friends are helping me through and my doctor is on top of things to keep me from doing God knows what.
good to have the support...none of us would be still standing without it
(((((mrp)))))))
amen to that
sorry to hear you are having so much to struggle with, such sweet people
I have to be off. Will ask a busload of guardian angels to descend on you and family, mrP. Bye all.
MrP - I had no idea about what was going on...... You poor thing. Good vibes being sent to you and yours ((()))
oh mrp. I haven't been around much and so didn't know. I am so,so sorry to hear what you have been and are going through. It must feel unbearable, and yet you bear it. So glad to hear that you have people around you who are holding you through this. My heart and thoughts are with you.
thanks for support my darling babble buddies.... thank God I have outlets and no judgment being passed. I thank you and bless you for being my friends. I have to go and look after my children and their bed time... bbl and thanks for your luv. xox
((((((((MRP))))))))
((((((mrp))))))))
Keep the chin up, MrP. You will come out of this a stronger person.
you are too cute for that cancer nonsense.you kick it,s arse and teach it who is boss!

crossy, thanks for much for your note regarding the book list. if the kids come through, I will let you know, for sure!!!
ahh glad you got it!! that is just a partial but gives you an idea
though if it ends up being a kindle,i will not be of much help, tell them you wish a sony or a nook
though i can convert the files to htlm i suppose
will do! a lot depends on whether or not the father kicks in....
Good morning everyone
find any any authors you care for in my lists?
howdy bichon:)
good morning bichon
hi, bichon!
oh yes indeed, but please don't ask me to name which one -- its too early for me to think much
tinnies is so a word!!!
good morning bichon!
lol
hi, mrp!
(((mrp)))
LOL mr president! so is "trannies" but it never takes that either
HI
herin me love! how are you feeling?
hi girls and boys.... in and out of babble whilst getting kids settled
tinnies is an aussie word meaning beer cans
Hi Herin, you're in the grid today.
and btw mrp,you are not allowed to have cancer as i say so,so you stop this nonsense immediatly! do not make me come down there...
morning, herin!
Tonight the fluffies graduate from Dog Obedience class. How would be able to tell that they've been?
I do find it puzzling that enable takes words like "senor" but not "herr", which could work today
WHAT???? what crossy says, mrp!!!
MrPresident, healing thoughts and prayers are out from me for you.
oh dear, I have been out of the loop - sorry to hear you have a concern in that area, mr p
dammit,i thought it was common knowledge, should of kepy my yap shut:(
me too, and me too!
no worries crossy! I will get it dealt with and all will be very good, promise
so could you bring us up to date? we need to worry properly...
no, no, it's fine....I just haven't been on much.
I still can't get over it won't take spam
good one bichon
haha!! sue, I will update my profile very shortly, promise
enable is too old buchin,as far as it knows,Spam is a product name and nothing more
Mr. President just posted about it a while ago, so I don't think any confidence was breached.
and iter, which is a passage in the brain
and crossy wants some hot pics when you do mrp
ok, thx, mrp, and hi, molly!
I let everyone know what the total meltdown was about... no breach of anything
(((crossy)))!! you are a darling
everyone say hello to my darling mrs elegant the other hot woman in my life:))
(she is not on,she is just smiling and shoulder surfing)
good morning mrs crossy, and thank you for sharing your fine hubs with us!
morning, mrs crossy, take good care of him!
lol! she says i am on here so much she should charge you all 25 cents apiece lol...she is a riot
Hey. Getting better. Very disappointed on missing out on Easter
and mrp, read back through the chog, you and lickety have certainly been through the wringer. Love and hugs to you both!!!
Morning Everyone!
hi, car.!
howdy car
car my dearest love!!!! yay!!!
being in the grid must help, herin!
Hello! Hello! Hello!
Waves hi
glad you are feeling better, herin!
herin, how far from sydney are you?
do we have any babblers from sydney, does anyone know?
whats going on in sydney today?
MR PRES> DO NOT MOve to Dubvegas it is boring and Waga is the arse of the world and Newcastle is bloody expensive
secondo may do a school semester in perth next year, living with her auntie and uncle. I can put her on the plane here in boston, have someone to help her at the airport in LA, but would love someone to catch her in sydney and see she makes the plane to perth all right
we have toronto= the belly button on the universe lol
sounds exciting, trif! How wonderful for her!
I thought Toronto was supposed to be nice, but I've never been there
it isnt all arranged just yet, merely in the planning and praying stages
think of it like philly and you are close bichon
And Mr Pres Centrelink is great in a crisis if you know the system
I've been there, bichon, and liked it; belly buttons aren't all bad :-)
but thanks, uusue, if it all comes together it will be faboooooo
Trifs Send the boy to melb :D
it's my daughter, herin, and certainly I will check and see if that is an option from LAX
you in melbourne herin? cause i must visit the place that carries my name some day
Yep
Is this the older Teen or the younger?
cool
my kids are 18, almost 15 and almost 12, and it is the one in the middle we are discussing
what a wonderful adventure for a 15 year old;))
I will take the 12 year old and the 18 year old :D 15 year olds scare me
I wanted Trif to send me, but she won't.
it's so cool! the high school right down the road from my bil's is the performing/visual arts high school, so she could study photography when she is there. if that isn't a sign from God to proceed, I don't know what is
AwwwCaree
you haven't spent much time with 12 year olds, have you herin dear? LOLOLOL
I say do it. Does the school do Cultural exchange?
we are investigating that now, herin.
12 years old girls are horrible...this is when hubbys move out and ask for a call when they are 18 or so
I think it is called International Exchange. You get a small help from the school
usually you have to audition/interview/ all the rest. but they do take what they call "local intake students" and they are only a block away.....she will go all that way, just to be a "townie!"
The 12 YO is fine....as long as she isn't with her mom! Typical 12 YO behavior!
and she will most likely have to do some summer school on this end, as american history is required here in 10th grade, but not so much in perth, I am thinking
Nice
and of course we have to get "the father" to sign off on it....that will be fun
who would deny a 15 year old a oppirtunity like that?
damn typos
One of my best friends from Iowa was an exchange student in 94 still friends to this day
<----- holding tongue about former bil
Does anyone remember Principal Synider in Buffy?
crossy, my dear, there is NO END to what that man will deny, and to whom
;(
i would sell the furniture if my boy had a chance to go down under
susan, my sil, is sort of pushing for her to come in june, for our summer break, but it's winter there, and we are going to need a lot more than just a month to um....fund raise, as it were
and that is why we love you, crossy! Mr Hate would sell the kids to get what HE needs -- and therein lies the difference
I need a clue for the i in the second row please for NBT?
awww..shucks....
can't you just forge his signature or something?
it's an ix4 car
(I mean, I know you can't, but it would certainly be tempting!)
do not forget travel ins!!!
He would throw Trif's ass in jail for taking the child
bascially just throw some nonsense letters at the screen. that's how I got it
very tempting, uusue.
oh, that's a good point, car
...just to make a scene
good morning babblers
what
sorry...what's the second letter?
x ?
morning, kap!
NM! Got it! TY!
Morning Kaplan!
I am trying to imagine the part where I actually put her on a plane. Have visions of myself standing there having to repeat "I never watched Lost, I never watched Lost" until I get up the courage to actually let her get on the plane
ty for the ix..there is only one afer all:)
Trifs do you need both parents to sign off on passports?
she has a passport. no worries there
lol, trif!
and it's HIS family, after all....
trif, after putting me on the plane to France in 1967, my mom would weep copiously whenever she heard "leavin' on a jet plane . . . " :-)
well, yeah, une!
crossing fingers and toes that this works out for her -- such an incredible opportunity
ah, well, that does complicate things (if it's his family), although can't they talk him into it if he balks? in fact putting the ball in their court might not be a bad tactic
Crying because she wasn't going to France herself no doubt...
hardly LOL
I am just focusing positive energy on this whole thing. Secondo really wants this, and I want it for her. If it is meant to be, it will be so. If not, she will have to wait and go another time.
Just stuff her on a plane then LD
What has happened to Mr President? I caught the tail end of something.
what's LD?
; D I believe
oopps that was :P
Kap, see Mr. President's post at 6:08
ahhh, thanks!
nbt
herin, did you go to iowa, or did your friend come to oz?
well done uusue!
My Friend came to Aus
Whee!! Well done uusue!
Just got an 8!!!!
hmmm. I can't think of any babblers from sydney. anyone know of one?
Crikey! :(
share the love, car.....oh please.....
Hi Kap. HI Molly
ru 8/45....eggs that are not cooked enough would be the ru 8/45 and all the yolk would ooze out
HI

Hello everyone

howdy, molly!
Hi Une
HI Sue
The other 8 is a th8. I have it if you want it.
I vote NO to going to work in the am
yes please,kap
Yes please
hi, herin :-)
Yeah Trif!
i'm with herin (no am work!)
NO vote from me too!
I just had 5 days off. None of them relaxing
Th8- what needs to be done to wheat when it is harvested, - pt
TY Kaplan!
I basically never work in the AM.
oohhh, the wheat machine . . . thanks!!
thank you kaplan!
thanks
gotta run -- picking up/boxing/loading/unloading donated food in pouring rain -- ugh!! But delighted with all the donations!
I thought it was the one who th6/24's
*poof*
congrats une.
and past tense Molly.
all that food will really bless people
Wahoo! I remembered the needle case all by myself today!
car, did you watch the video I put on FB yesterday?
I must be living in the Twilight Zone today. The ed version of that word doesn't work for me.
No. Haven't been on FB.
I can't stop watching it. LOVE me some Dolly Parton....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UbRPWUH M80M
Me too! Will check it out later though.
Oh, your right, - I am in twilight zzone.
My mistake.
Work is interesting
Une that is great
Say hello to my friend Rod then.
Did you ever see the "Night Gallery" with the creepy doll? Gave me nightmares!
Trif...do you need any driving help today?
I liked the gremlin one
I believe Kadresa still has nightmares from that show!
Primo is doing it, but I really appreciate the offer
And then there was a lovely one from Conrad Aiken's "Silent Snow Secret Snow"- a story
ohhh, night gallery! Sh7 44......
I have a question please
OK....I really need to focus on some arthritis reports now...especially since the house is quiet.
Yes, herin....
yes, herin?
How long does one need to keep bills and bank statements
Please and thankyou
supposedly 7 years but I don't see the point
Or maybe it's 3 years?
I heard 7 years.
The "Night Gallery" with the creepy doll is classic horror.
I mean realistically. As in doesn't the company like the bank hold them any way?
OK. I am off! *poof*
Yeah...
Yeah...
good morning babblers :)
Bye Care
Realistically, I don't see the point after a year or two, perhaps- I have never needed them
Herin, bills I keep 3 years but bank statements i hold for 7
7 years is a good idea, herin, except for big things (car, house, whatever), where you should keep them as long as you have the thing
I am thinking stuff like Bank Statements the bank has them anyway and stuff you pay for on card would keep as a reciept.
also there is a similar rule about tax returns, in case you get audited (note of course that I am US-centric in all this)
yes banks keep the information but they will charge you an arm and a leg to retrieve copies
I am trying to purge stuff
Nono. I have got information for free before as it was within a certain time period. Of course if it was for purchase or house or car which I don't have
Nono, what do you mean by "bills"? The stubs from bill payments? I just keep the most current copy.
I fully understand if I was renoing my house I would have a bill folder for that as it required but I am talking about bank statements and bills
molly reciepts for utilities i only keep a year for comparison studies but other bills such as car repairs, house repairs or purchases i keep for 3
I am talking about bank statements and bills. I don't have a car or house
I don't keep bank statements at all. That is all on line now.
That is what I am thinking. APpart from if I use my card for a purchase
herin i keep all paper files for 4 years and have everything scanned and on flash key for eternuty
eternity
So maybe the way to go is pdf everything then disk it then shred it?
that is an excellent idea crossy
i have 6 years of paperwork all on one tiny little 16 gig flash key lol..and a backup on disk
this computer was bought especial cause it can use cd-rom AND cd-RAM and cd ram is for long storage
music studios also use sd ram for masters
cd*
I am despretaly searching for ideas to free myself of this paper cluster
do digital herin, you will not regret it
go*
BOOKS are not included
Any that I don't want will go though
lol,i have 400 books on the shelves and 600 on the reader
Don't care books stay. We have about 700 plus RPG books
i sent trif a partial book list so she can pick through them;))
I couldn't imagine having no books at all
impossible, may as well die as have no books
I read that as "boobs" herin....god help us all
Herin, I read an article about a prep school that tore down their library because all text books
and books in the library went digital. Very sad.
i keep a happy mixture of digital and what my son now calls 'dead tree books"
I think that is sad
You need a texture thing
I believe it is a misnomer to think that paper = dead tree. Making paper out of trees gives another life to trees.
Our work wants us to cut back on about 70% on paper storage before the move. I think they are smoking crack
nothing finer when travelling, just tossing the reader in my briefcase knowing i have 600 books to choose from, and still having all my hardcovers at home to enjoy
No nothing finier than having a trashy book
lol,you are naughty herin
I am currently reading Night of the Living Trekies
hi herin!! (hugs)
i am finishing my first read of harry potter(on last 2 books) then shall proceed to either the clan of the cave bear or frank herberts sune series
I never see you online for chat on FB any more
MR PRES> did you get my message

cough..sorry..crossy goes to make tea....
Hun Dubbo is cheap housing but short on medical stuff plus you have to get the right side of the area. Wagga is the middle of no where and Newcastle is nice but expensive

I have the best tale to tell
Ok.
go on herin
How many ERs are you nursing, HT?
My friend managed to rupter an ear drum being violently ill. Amazed the doctor
Only one at the moment, actually none.
His response was ''You are not meant to be able to do that''
terri, you just add words in the left box under the grid, and ask for clues or chat in the right hand chatterbox
Hi Terri we don't bit
But people do do that occasionally Herin...
Im new and id like to add "improved" but only time will tell haha
e
I am on a day off Babrab so really none!
I told him he was a goose and he should look after himself
I hope your friend is alright and that it is healing up well!
A day off is good.
yes, I have 3 in a row, this is number 2 and I am not really ready to give it all up when I havr to go back..
He says he can walk again with out falling over. And being 6ft 8 that would be bad
falling is bad, glad he is starting to feel better.
herin you arein the grid.
So am I not good he worries me

terri, you will improve immensely! you smart lady!!
I should be gathering financial papers, I have a phone appt with my finance guy and I fear I am not taking it very seriously.

That would be nice mom ... it would be great to see you in your finery
oh, congrats, mom! i know MY mom bought several dresses in trying to figure out what to wear to my wedding.
im sure you will look fabulous. :)

I had to spend a rather large sum on clothes for work which really sucked.
how is the job going herin
8 letter word starting with r
Ok
Have to go back tommorrow
I'm at work right now...hehe....should get to it but am procrastinating a bit longer
Matches ... more liquid past tense
Mom is that your pup?
ty norma got it
If you refresh you should be able to see it. I didn't put stockings on though so pay no mind the the legs :-)
Herin, it belongs to our oldest. Her name is Annie
O pretty mum
MOm were did you get the Dress?
Dillard's
I like
thank you, I do too
Mom that is lovely .. what accessories are you putting with it #
very nice Mom - you cut off your head....lol
I will wear navy blue shoes and have a navy blue clutch and I'll look for a brooch to wear
I have now lost my keyboard cat is on me
I had Shay do that on purpose.
O brooch will look lovely
That will look lovely. are you wearing a hat or a fascinator
I tease that I am going to wear a hat and gloves and he tells me, "Mom this isn't the 1930's"
congratz to your son marrying! that is just beautiful!
so I will forgo the hat and gloves
you should do it just for that reason...
Whitney and I were talking about it just to tease him
need a cup of tea - be right back
Just tell him you are the Queen
it is an outdoor ceremony at sunset
Herin, I have been practicing my wave
O lovely
mother's of the groom where very high society outfits... it shows their son is special and worthy
hints for the R8?
and she is a lovely girl, inside and out.
mother of the bride has to tone down to show how beautiful her daughter is
I love weddings! Congratulations
Eva, you and I have a cold your nose is runny but mine is the ru 8
thanks Terri1
ahh, TY!
how you going with the grid terri??
you're welcome Eva
I had better scoot off here. I am going to my parents. Be back in a bit. ((Hugs)) to all of you
when my brother got married, my mother was told that for the mother of the groom, the general idea is to "show up, shut up, and wear beige" heh
Bye mom see you later
I am missing some fishwords and getting annoyed with myself for not seeing them... Terri, fishwords are very obvious and easy words that 'should' be easy enough to get
lol Eva
bye bye Norma
eva... that is just revolting!!
she wore blue to both of our weddings. and looked lovely. :)
Bye Norma
see ya norma :)
I have to get himself over his phobia to do the weeding thing
mother of the bride plays it down, mother of the groom looks like royalty
See you all later enjoy
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed I can only FIND fish words haha
Bye Norma
if you need clues terri, just ask for them... for example... "any clue for tu7/32?'
seems to be more the opposite here, MrP. i guess because the brides family pays for the wedding? though nowadays, with the money coming from anywhere and everywhere and more couples paying their own way, both mothers get to play it up a bit.
What the...? MrP
we are finding that bride's parents pay for church & reception.... groom parents pay for flowers, cars, invites and alcohol.
terri - if you scroll down, click on licketys babble clues and it will give you a list of the words in the grid (first 2 letters anyway) it also tells you how many letters in the word and the point total for the word
you will want to open another window first though so you can have them side by side
you can ask for clues to words you are finding hard to find....I have to give you the exe to babble expert
I try not to bring up the list until I am absolutely stuck...some folks bring it up right away
it gives you a list of clues so you know what you need to look for.
bags not paying for alcohol. im in Australia
it is an exe file from Lickety (Mark) and is safe.
my parents gave us a set amount to do with whatever we wanted. it went to the caterer (which covered food and most rentals such as linens, chairs, etc) and the band. his parents paid the facility rental fee, the flowers, and a BUNCH of odds-and-ends. we paid for invitations and lots of things ourselves.
thanx riverdance mrP
doesnt he have to go pro first mrp
not that I know of... lickety's list is free
he has asked for no money for anything
hI just popping in. We are making 3 weddings in 4 months. Here (in Israel) in our community at least, almost all weddings expenses are split. It used to be different but unless one family is significantly more well off, all expenses directly related to the wedding are split, except for the bride's bouquet which the groom's parents pay for.
nits
that I know mrp...I just thought you had to be pro for expert to work...my wrong
oops!!!!!!!!
in the PB Mich!!
licketys babble clues arent associated with Babble Expert. they pre-dated expert...heh
and we certainly do appreciate lickety...
I hope there's coffee!!!
mire
im still Expert-free, since i do most of my babbling at work + im not allowed to download anything here...
me too Eva
Hi everyone back with cup of coffee in hand

See you later River have a good day

jilli has it in her profile... can you find her in 'my friends'?
Thanks!:)
no Je? Oh I need her special advice.
http://r46.me/BabbleExpert20110410.zip is what I found
when you paste it, make sure there are no gaps in the address
For just the list: http://r46.me/BabbleClues.html
There is a New England soda in the grid and in the PB today.
terri, download babbleExpert... it is perfect... gives you clues and resources
let lickety (Mark) know so he can send you updates when he makes them
Nice wht, but what I need is jmc's tax help...
ok got lickety's babble expert side by side now thank
Oh sorry I discovered I had made a rather large error on my return and that the return money has been placed in my account, and I am not sure exactly how to get it fixed, but I have an appoitent with money man at 10:30 so he can help me. I amjust now a bundle of nerves.

Night ALl
GNight Heirn
* HERIN
nite herin
goodnight
Red, can you contact JMC via Facebook? I hope you get things straightened out.
ooooh! soccer is on!!
Nights
I just sent her a FB message. Really I think all i have to do is file an amendment or something, and will probably have to do it locally. My finance guy will know what to do and I have an appointment on the phone with him in 28 minutes, I just am floored.
(( RED))
turtle?? what happened??
I hate stress!
and find itodd that my refund was processed with no red flag.
I have made a large error on my income tax no real crises MrP, but a big pain to fix.
It is odd to me as well Red.
Hi all
hi, red, i've done that too (although not this year), totally forgot about $10k that I had withdrawn from my retirement fund.
Hi Beach
I thought my refund was huge and my income a bit low, but...thats what comes from forgetting an entire W2.
uusue, was it easy to take care of?
Just had to file an amended return; wasn't a big deal (although I did have to pay some of the money back)
bloody tax rubbish! can they not see an error?
Yes, I am not touching that money.
I think I will take the mess though to jacksom hewitt or H and R and let them file it properly!
Probably a good idea Red
Could be a whole lot worse! I could have spent that cash!
then two years later the state came and said I owed them more money too, got that sorted out as the state doesn't tax retirement withdrawals, although by that time I had totally forgotten about it, gotten divorced, and lost the paperwork so it was a bit of a pain for a while
luckily we do not have income tax in Florida, so I have no fear of the state.
But the feds are scary.
ah, good :-)
I had one a long time ago where I'd forgotten something and the feds caught it many months later; I had to pay the extra tax and the interest but no fine as it was an honest mistake
and if wht is still around, the only New England soda I know is tonic, but it's not in the grid :-(
My parents have had a few problems lately, but they file quartlerly so it seems she is always filing income tax...
my dad does that too, red, as a lot of his income is from investments now
yes that is how my parents have it, plus the income that my Dad generates from his readings and such.
well 15 mins before my moeny man appt. Boy he will be surprised.
HAIRY DOLPHIN ALERT!
good luck, red! I'm sure all will be fine.
hahaha, got it, red!
:D thanks all for helping me with my panic!
Just take a nice deep breath, red, and remember, it's only money.
I just want to avoid jail time!
I so need to sleep!! taking the trip back home to Sydney tomorrow and looking forward to the relax trip home. CYA all later and niters!
nowhere in the cards, red.
and night, mrp, take care of yourself!!!
good night mrp!
I hope not, I would not do well in prison!
believe me, red, I've forgotten things for a much longer period of time, and not even a fine. Don't worry.
C ya
Ahhh, now I just need to reconcile myself to taking care of it.
bye, terri!
I started Marathon training this week, and tried desperatly to do everything I needed so I could just concentrate on running and going to work...down to buying extra toilet paper...ahhh welll. Into every life..
Im off to bed goodnight all and best wishes c ya MrP
good night terri
you're doing the right thing, red, and very soon after the deadline, even the extra interest should be minimal.
and congrats on the marathon training - I tried that once although only got as far as a 25k race.
25 K is a nice long race.
it's my second Marathon. I am hoping for a large improvement!
it was, and I was proud of myself for doing it.
Great, red! Here's to a PR!
I wish I could find a 25K race, what a great distance!!!
Fireworks
Ok Ok, now I must go and prepare papers and the dog for the phone call.. thanks all. and CONGRATS TO VANILLASLICE!!!!!!!!!!!!
yay, vanilla!
and bye, red! All will be fine!!!
Hi all just came in to look for the last th5 this is also my last babble day till may 17 because we're going bush
sounds like fun, vanilla, are you going away or just unplugging at home?
Into the snowy and blue mountains east australia , no internet and mobile only for emrgencies
sounds lovely, vanilla, have a great time!!
thank you, we've been looking forward to this
spent a bit of time trying to make the backpacks lighter
ah, backpacking, I did some of that when I was younger, in New Mexico and Colorado.
enjoy yourselves!!!
youre only as old as your legs allow
Hi I am back. My chog froze up there.
its the life! Anyway, good chatting and you're great company. Have a good time all, I'm off
well, perhaps I will get back to it someday, thanks to the wonders of modern medicine (parts of my legs are a lot younger, and more metallic, than the rest of me :-)
So the New England Soda is a brand name. Mo5/22
hi, wht! still trying to find the New England soda that isn't tonic.
oh, that one! thx
It was originally marketed as a tonic.
and it has a plural, although not a past tense...
ok, time to go to work, bbl!
Greetings Babble buddies.
Greetings, Scrabbler.. I'm not here, lol
just coming out of lurk mode to say hi and bye.. have drained my brain, have to go to an appt. and so .. I'll hopefully finish this evening, down to 21
I do have a migraine so perhaps I am hallucinating about seeing Aloy here.
ooh, sorry about your migraine, Scrabs.. take care ! poof for me, 19 now (-:
Still here, Red?
So I am all alone with the lurkers? *waving to lurkers* I know you're there.
Aloy is wearing the cloak of invisibility. I think Red is off line. Hi Scrabs, sorry about your migraine.
It's improving, Molly. Much less pain, now into the post-headache brain fog.
*whispers* hi scrabs
Hi scrabs and jmc
Hi jm and wht
*waving silently to Scrabs* *back to lurking*
*waving silently to jmc*
I am supposed to be working.
but my boss is working from home today.
Besides it is my birthday.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WHT!
*breaks out the champagne and cupcakes and confetti*
ty ciocia
Happy Birthday wht1
!
ty Sea
Happy Birthday WHT!!
Ty Scrabs.
I am 60 today and I am puzzled about how I could possibly be that old.
lol not far behind you
wht--congrats! Some people are never fortunate to make it to 60. My father will be 80 next wk.
One consolation is that my dog is older than me
wht!!! Happy birthday!!! (you have me beat by almost exactly a month :-)
and hi to scrabs, sea, ciocia, molly, aloy, and everyone else!
my friend will be 58 on May 10th...I never let her forget she is OLDER than me (by 6 months)
8.5 yrs to go til 60, God permitting
I never gave much thought to my other milestone birthdays, but this one seems to be different.
Hi Uusue
You are still a spring chicken (or is that spring rabbit) Scrabs.
6
6
60 in june, and i too am trying to figure out how i got that old!
absolutely
Hmm, spring rabbit. That would be a March Hare, I think.
It's all relative, wht. Twin sisters were featured in our newspaper yesterday--turned 100! And then in my office I see newborns everyday.
50 was the big one for me, as that is how old my mom was when she died; I didn't expect it to hit me as hard as it did.
Aw, Sue, your mother died young.
I try to tell myself that the importance of years ending in zero is purely an artifact, due to us having ten fingers, but it doesn't always work :-)
Both of my parents will tu4 80 in the next 5 wks. Neither act or look 80.
Twin 100 year olds? wonderful!
on the other hand my dad is 90 and still going strong (as you all know all too well!)
My Brother in law always says age is a state of mind
I think that the other thing for me is that it means that retirement is getting nearer.
I have seen so much death (my patients, and my close friend at 39 two yrs ago) that I see growing older as a privilege.
Happy Birthday Wht!!
ty Molly
ah yes - right now I figure I can retire when I am 70, assuming the state doesn't take away our pensions completely :-(
One of my best friends died 2 years ago, so I know that nothing is guarunteed.
I don't think I'll ever be able (financially) to retire til my 70's, unless what little $ I have stored away increases tremendously.
At least Babble is paid for. What else do you need?
Yep, we're all set, wht. TY for that reminder!
lol, wht! There you go!
Time to get ready to go to the dentist. Enjoy your special day, wht.
oh, good luck, scrabs!
I need $ to pay for dental care is what I need.
2011 = year of dental problems for me. Better than medical problems though.
Bye scrabs. Good luck at the dentis.
Bye scrabbs...good luck
tesh
so sorry
nm, sea, not a word :-)
de 6/21 plz
only one I have means to keep, ivesy, and has an re6/18 version as well
ty sue...bbl
got it uus....a sweet we eat after supper/dinner.
and ty for your clue
hmmm, don't have that one
i think you mean a dry area
yeah, no double s

:-)
and i think i will hold off on clues
but thank you, i didn't have that one!
me either, ivesy, so it worked for us!
there is also de7,32 - remove a mark from clothes.
ty wht!
thx, wht, that got me 2 words :-)
anyway now I should do some work
HAPPY BIRTHDAY WHT!!!!!!!
ty jmc
so are you so old that you are fretting about it?
happy birthday WHT.
duhs is not a word? no pl exclamations?
if you can remove a mark...why couldn't you do a mark again as in re***** - my confused....hello everyone
what???? Its What's birthday??? Happy happy birthday what!
*looks at shirt* i re***** all the time :-(
it's all a marketing conspiracy, jm
and hi, al!
ty river.
It's not just my clothes, I re***** my deck often as well.
may i sing you my bues? within the past 10 days, I have moved, my computer has died, (working on a ancient mac as I type now) and had back surgery that is very ouchy...
ok i'm done whining for now
That is a pretty short whine for all that has happened to you jbp
fusion is a word I like for cooking and music... vertebraie, now so much
well, brevity is the source of OW. (a lot of thing are the source of OW right now) ;-)
erth
oops
weh
gee, didint' mean to cause a grnding halt!
We were just waiting for a real clue, jbp. :^)
ah, aen't we all. ;-)
and happy bday to youm, wht!!!
i myself would love a top row A clue
a + dirt in the air.
And now it is time for lunch. BBL.
ow on the back surgery, jbp! I've had three neck fusions myself :-(
bye, wht!
\thnaks wht
never wold ave got that
mine was lumbar, us, and i'm hoping that this one will suffice
well, it's naptime (with these drugs, it's frequetly naptime), but ia will bbl.
fun, all!
I have friends who have had that surgery, jbp, and are very happy with it.
bye, jbp! get lots of rest!!
tx!
ugh. if you go to a chiropractor, you can save yourself some back/neck surgery.
but be careful. I've gone to lots of chiropractors; if you really do need surgery they are not the answer (but then I came close to being paralyzed due to bone spurs compressing my spinal cord - not something a chiropractor should be fooling around with)
bone spurs would be a different problem, yeah.
some people are freaked out by chiro, but the idea of back surgery freaks me out much more.
otoh, it was a chiropractor who realized that bone spurs were my problem (after an MRI was misinterpreted); he refused to touch me after that and got me to get a surgeon to look at the MRI itself and not just the report. I am very grateful to him!
back
that's good uusue :)
good for the chiropractor not all of them are that bright
just be careful of excessive claims - chiropractic can be good for sore backs but it won't cure cancer, diabetes, or autism (all claims I have heard)
and hi, jmc!
*fixes a lavender pillow for jbp*
it's hard to know where the line is. it makes sense to me that it can improve overall health to have your spine straight and all your nerves able to send the right signals through properly. but i certainly wouldn't believe it was the only necessary care for every complaint.
yeah my hubby drew the line at acupuncture (which is extremely good for additions) when the guys said it would cure his deafness
i had a bad back and went to physical therapy and now 5 year later continue those exercise with nary a twinge
physical therapy is based on actual science, though (for the most part), not at all like chiropractic (or, I am sorry, acupuncture)
(all of which I have tried)
some aspects of chiro are science. i mean, i can see the improvement in my spinal shape on the progress x-rays.
I have been going to a chiropractor for 20 years. Just saw an x-ray of my back, and it is much much straighter now.
I can also sit for more that 20 minutes unsupported and stand up straint.
straight.
but yes, they do sometimes seem to be making excessive claims about what having an aligned spine will do for you.
I agree; I am just saying that one needs to be careful because there are a lot of unsupported claims out there.
*sigh* phone
I also went to one who pinched my sciatic nerve, so they are not all equal.
definitely true, mixi - but also true about other health care professionals.
and perhaps I have a complicated set of issues, but whenever I went to chiropractors they would start out by saying they could make me feel better in some finite number of sessions, but then it always went on forever without much change.
i had a crazy dentist once, who seemed to think that no other dentist in the world could possibly have taken proper care of me, wanted to recheck everything they'd ever done. arrogant!
I prefer chiros - the treat holistically, though theres good and bad in every profession. No matter who you go to, they should listen, give you a realistic expectation of improvement and then acheive noticeable results. If that occurs, I couldnt care if its a chiro or an osteopath ;)
anyway, it is always good to do your own homework and be informed, whatever the situation is. and now, speaking of homework, I have to get back to grading mine...
tu 7/32 ??
tu7 32 - fish
tu+ easter b******
thanks granadan
good morning all :)
Hello Nan.
back
and gone again *sigh*
*!* ta da *!*
Wow Nan, you sure did finish fast.
I used lickety's list for the last 15
Anyone want clues before I leave?
<---- Bows to Nan's Babble Greatness.
crossy is back, went to the egg farm and got myself 2 flats of brown double yolk eggies and a slab of paemeal bacon that they smoke and cure right at the farm;)
not really -- I started last night and only had 46 left to find
hi crossy
howdy cybernan
sounds yummy, crossy!
If no clues are wanted I will be off to do some morre video editing
hi, and bye, nan! bbs myself -
indeed sue,you have not lived tiil you see eggs the size of tangerines with 2 yolks in each(i can only get them when they have new layers just starting out)
Cholesterol not a problem, then!
i have never had it tested,so it is fine thank you lol
maybe it is time????
errr...
well....
ummmm....
i figure i stand more of a chance of stroke or heart attack from my severe apnea before the colesterol can even think about getting me
this way ill be full of eggs and happy when i go;)
lol -- you never know
or another tap with the cancer stick
oh no -- don't even think it! -- we don't want that!
i am keeping it down to 2 eggs,3 times a week
and i have cut my bacon input by 50% and have gone to low salt bacon;)
so i am being a 9reasonably) good boy
my next ct,x-ray and blood work are next month, and i am sure all is fine.at the this stage of remission i am 90% to the good
at least as good as you can be? How long have you been in remission this time?
one thing i did not know the radiation from a single ct scan=400 x-rays:/
ouch!
2 years since the last(memenoma) and i am at the magic 5 year mark since the seminoma and lymphnoma
probably why they are not done unless absolutely necessary
indeed
oh that is good, crossy
i am feeling pretty godd and eating too mcuh of course
must be off -- pc is working at a snails pace -- don't know if it is our server or if I need to defrag -- been doing a lot of video stuff lately
and do not forget mto use c cleaner regularly
and do not forget mto use c cleaner regularly
granddaughter on google talk -- *poof*
tc cybernan
sounds good, crossy (the whole cancer story). Glad to see you are keeping on top of it. Agree about the radiation from CT scans, it is a little disconcerting
yes,i get one twice a year now,but it is the lesser evil
at the start,i was getting one ever 2 months!!
indeed. (I am supposed to have one in about a month to check the healing on my latest cervical fusion...)
ouch
well, it was ouchier before the surgery :-)
my cervical fusion did not fuse and I am having issues.... Good Luck Uusue2
ouch indeed, dr! I've actually had three now :-(
I was genetically fused and then surgically fused
not looking forward to more
hmmm, not familiar with genetic fusion
all three of mine were surgical
when you are born fused
first mi 5/14 plz
oh - that makes sense. I fell out of a tree.
OUCH !!!
thought I was ok at the time (I was 30 and should have known better) but 20 years later bone spurs started to give me a hard time.
ivesy, the first mi5/14 I have is the pt of a mi4/5
ouchies....
ok ty
first mi 5/14 is M and 4 vowels
it was a faculty party, crossy, some time I will tell you the whole story :-)
sounds like a cat noise
hello everybody, back for a few. Didn't even reach half this morning
ah, the kitty cat sound! thx, dr!
hi, ruby!
ty !
hi Ruby
yw Ivesy3
I am gewtting sympathy pangs reading over the chat!
I want to hear about the faculty party as I used to be a faculty wife!
I remember those parties! Everybody going to Lake Michigan in party clothes.....
and INTO Lake Michigan!
actually this was in Oklahoma, ruby, will write up a little story about it in a minute :-)
goodie!
can't get the cat sound; I guess I've had dogs too long
just noodle around in the bottom right corner, ruby
noodling and also monkeying, woof
Ruby...army abbreviation for someone lost in combat + **r love is here to stay
got it
ty molly, I was trying to do it in 4 letters
any cluts for the 8's?
I'm really stuck
or even clues....
one of them is an ru8/45
the most watery
thank you!
I like cluts better.
the other is a th8/50, the thing that performs the action described by the th6/24 word (has to do with harvesting grains)
that's only when I trip over a chair
ty, I had the 6, didn't see the noun
and gave up when the pt didn't work
yw :-)
*goes back to writing sad story of faculty party and tree*
where will it be, in your profile?
probably the best place for it, it will be a little long for the chog :-0
faculty party and a tree? now sue you should not be doing that i n a tree anyways..bark rashes in delicate places can be painful.....
well, I'm a physicist, not a biologist, crossy (although the actual story betrays a certain disdain for the laws of physics)
grrr 78 left
lol
hi babblers
well as douglas adams says"the art of flying is being in the right state of mind and at the proper moment you just jump and miss the ground..lol
howdu welki
hello welki
((ruby))
that's how I feel about flying, croswsy
lost again... on the first mi 5/14 ???
whoops
hi, welki and snoopy!
half, yay!
ok, ruby and crossy, the story is in my profile, all the way at the bottom (even after the camel joke). Should have known better...
off I go to sue's profile!
lol
ouchies
well,i cannot judge,i herniated 3 disks in my neck by exercising:(
doc said not to let then fuse it unless i am reduced to crawling on all flours
well, I should have thought more about how fast I would be going and how much force it would take to stop myself
sue: you have the most amazing profile!!! thank you for sharing all that and the camel joke!!!!!
you never know sue,i was doing crunches with a nordic track ab works machine
yeah, when I had the fusion the bone spurs were starting to compress my spinal cord - the skin on my chest was starting to go numb. Not a good sign.
no,not good at all
yw, ruby, always glad to be of service :-)
my arms go numb sometimes but i am careful now
that's the side nerves, also not good but as long as you are not in crazy pain probably tolerable
I must have fallen on my head a lot because my brain goes numb all the time. :^)
lol
lol, wht, I feel like that sometimes too! How was your birthday lunch?
my spine is very bad, crooked to start but worsening from various fractures and surgeries but when I went to the fusion specialist in Geneva, supposedly a world-renowned guy from Canada, he said "absolutely not! It might reduce your pain for a while but then will only get worse above and below. So I take a 2-hour rest every afternoon and lots of pain meds....
and manage, which is the key, I guess.
indeed sue,i have a friend who had the same neck unjury but he was in more paing he asked them to go in and fix it..now he uses 2 canes and his left foot is turned in..so i am careful
would be nice if they could trim off the bone spurs without fusing the disk but I guess I had no disks left either, mostly I am fine now, though, just can't turn my head really far
Read your story Sue. Ouch. And rats, because I was hoping it was going to be a Buck-Buck story.
yes ruby,do not let them open you up,unless you cannot walk
what's a buck-buck story?
absolutely, crossy!
maybe next time, molly :-) (after I figure out what that is)
at summer faculty parties, everybody used to wind up wet!
Oh Lord, buck-buck is this ridiculous game that is played in two teams. One team forms a human chain, starting with the first person whose arms are wrapped around a tree. The other team members then run and leap onto this human chain, trying to break.
sounds like you would need a lot of liquid anaesthesia for that
think I will avoid that one, molly :-)
I found a physics babblet from your profile, sue
Ugh...trying to break the chain. Kids get banged up pretty badly playing this game.
now in my earlier party days,we all used to get in our swimming gear and play twister whilst covered in oil..was great fun
where did our wild youths go?
you did, ruby? I'll have to look harder :-)
I read your whole list and found a te5
*Scratches head at te5 physics babblet*
have to go so good night everybody, this was very interesting
te5/10
night, ruby!
*poof* and gentle hugs all around
i see herin is in the grid today
ah, I think I found it - not actually a physics babblet but differs by only one hard-to-distinguish letter :-)
I'm going to the Eastern Music Festival this summer, uusue
edgar allen poe wrote "the fall of the house of us***"
sounds like fun, mixi! Perhaps they will have an oud :-)
or someone who checks tickets at the cinema..but i was trying to be a tad more interesting:)
ok, back to work for me! bbl!
that was also a clue for the phyics babblet.
re8? help please.
Wonderful link to botanical photo of the day on uusue's profile. Many thanks (I hope she's still on!)
Theer is no re8, mix. It is an ru8.. Most liquid, or least solid.
It's an ru8...the egg with the most uncooked yolk is the ru8
TY molly.
fireworks.
wtg mix
Still lost. The only te5 physics babblet I see is tesla, and that is not in the grid. Fermi is in Sue's list, and termi is in the grid, but not as an acceptable word. Like I said, confused.
Hello all again. I have spoken with je and I shall not be going to jail for my tax error!
yess! got me an e-book copy of 'flowers for algernon" by daniel keys" that book rocks! was made into a movie called 'charlie" in the late 70,s early 80,s i believe:)
*Stops baking cake with a file in it for Red*
Yes, I just had to call Jackson Hewitt and things now seem to be routeine.
It's all for the best Red. No sauna pants in prison.
if revenue canada pits me in jail, they will have to pay my credit card bill,so they leave me alone;)
Well, i was looking forward to the Cake.
and dont them have sort of unlimited time to spend in the gym there?
*Removes file, continues baking cake*
awwww. now I just have to find my telephone again...
everyone having a lovely day????
great day, wife is happy..she got to spend 200 dollars shopping...lol
gotta keep Mrs Elegant happy Cross!
nothing makes the ladies happy more that that new stuff smell lol
I get that way about new shoes.
as long as i have my books and my interwbs, she can spend the rest lol
interwebs*
i have 30 more books for file conversion and a few hardcover books coming from biblio,so i am happy
slowly replacing all my favorite falling apart softcovers with nice used hardcovers
this month i am replacing shogun, pappilon and 20,000 years in sing sing..softcovers of those are a tattered ruin with loose pages help in place with tape and the entire thing wrapped in an elastic band lol
i haven't got an ebook yet croosy, but would like one, as it would be easier to hold for me as i have arthritis in my fingers and going on hols would be alot lighter!! can you download the books?
is there a site to do it and does it cost much?
i have well over 500 downloaded and will share with any babbler and there are many free sites on hte internet
now, fair warning get a sony reader or a barnes and noble nook reader
that way you can access e-pub files
oh ok thanks crossy, but the ebooks are quite expensive arent they, so i need to save up first.i'll have to look on ebay
why is that crossy?
you can get good ones now for around $150 U.S
e-pub?
all the libraries will be lending e-books in epub format and the kindle does not do e-pub last i looked
i'm not sure what the exchange rate is at teh mo
it is a file format
i wonder if our libraries will be doing it too, it could just be there
and a sony is best if you are not in north america
oh ok, thanks, sorry, i'm not technically minded!!
np,here to help
hi again, all!
ok, so which one of the two would you suggest is the best for me here
they9the readers0 can be ordered online from the sony site
hi sue
howdy again sue
for you, outside of north america,i say the sony reader would be a best bet
molly, the babblet isn't quite a physics babblet, replace one of the letters in the first one you found
and I am glad red isn't going to jail (not that I was worried)
thanks crossy
no problem, and i will share my book list with any babbler
(specifically the fourth letter, molly)
when i get one crossy, i'll be nicking loads of them :)
there are few classics in my list because all those can be had for free from gutenburg.com
np lillian
HI BAB readers, I have been enjoying ebooks on my IPAd. I have even downloaded mp3books to listen to on my computer. The latter thru my library.
very nice joan
the sony will also do audio books for you lillian
My Mom got a Kindle and she has really been enjoying it quite a bit Cross. I would not have expected her to like it, but she does.
cool joansie
I have read classics that I have missed over the years thru the freedownloads
oh ok thanks crossy
it is a bit of a learning curve, but once you get used to it red they are indispensable
i even store mysic and family photos on mine
music
can anyone please help with the mi7/40?
hi red, glad you're not going to jail, it would have cost me a fortune to send you cigarettes to trade! :)
one can make the fonts almost any size for ease of reading
oh, you can do that aswell crossy, i just thought it was for books!
the past tense cat noise nurse
mi7 pt of mi5/14
Good grief - spent so much time on that. Thanks lilliann and une.
hi une :)
yw :-)
your clematis looks lovely. i have pink ones which are beginning to open
yw nurse
tx -- i also have a magenta one that's been around quite awhile :-)
actually, just looked out of my back window and they are all open and they are pinky/purply
cool!
i love clematis, so easy to grow and looks lovely
and spreads well
have tons of peonies just showing color -- they MUST hang on a few more days -- I'm bringing a bucket of them to use as table decorations at an open house for our soup kitchen Sunday afternoon! :-)
my magnolia tree has more flowers this year too, that looks nice
I can't wait for mine to start blooming but I think I have a while yet
:-D
clematis, that is
sound lovely une,
And that word is in the grid Sue?
where do you live, krysten?
hi krysten
yes, molly :-)
about an hour east of Toronto
ooohhh, no wonder! LOL
start in the lower left corner and wind up in the top center
Yup! Lots of rain though which always helps...as long as it stops before September!
we've hardly had any rain here for weeks, which is rare for april!
you've probably heard about the massive amounts of rain we've had in the US southeast . . .
and wind!!
We're now getting the entire month's worth of rain in this week!
it's been very warm and sunny, so that's probably our summer finished!! lol
no une
is that normal for you this time of year?
not this extreme -- recordbreaking no. of tornadoes -- a number of deaths . . .
it's been windy here and a few times, blowing a hoolie but even when it's been cloudy it's still been warmer than usual for this time of year, especially where i live, up north
Yes, I certainly feel for the poor folks just south of me and of course, for the rest of storm ridden USA.
at least the rain isn't as bad as last May when we had the worst flooding in our history
oh, yes, i've heard about the tornadoes, i feel really sorry for all the families affected
"blowing a hoolie" -- LOLOL that's great!
sorry, i keep forgetting that americans don't know that word, saying that not all brits either! :)
from englishforums.com: This expression for a strong gale seems to be quite common in the UK now :-)
the weather has been extreme all over the world the last couple of months!
indeed!
good, as i've always said it and like the word! :)
Thank you Lilliann. I love "blowing a hoolie". That's a keeper.
so did you ever find the almost-physics babblet, molly?
And Sue, all this time, I've been trying to work that word from the upper T and thinking I was brain damaged.
i've had a nice day out today with my daughter and f.i.l. we went to a farm which has animals you can feed and pet, i enjoy it more than the bairn i think! it's been sunny but then blowing a hoolie(just for you une lol) so it made it alot colder, especially when teh sun went in
the goats were mad and were trying to eat my tyres on my wheelchair and the baby goats where chewing on the rubber bit on my brakes! lol
what fun, lilliann!! (forwarded the hoolie phrase to my brit-obsessive friends LOL)
i guess it's true that goats will eat ANYTHING LOL
oh great une lol
yes, they were chewing on our clothes ans nudging us when we weren't giving them any food!
hello, I'm back
hi annie
Hi lilliann
hey, annie!
Hi Une, the story about Louie is still there
thanks so much -- hope someone adopts him soon -- such a pretty boy . . .
glad you found it, molly :-)
I hope so too
and I am going home to take a nap, not feeling at all well :-(
hope you feel better soon sue, tc and sweet dreams
and now for crossy,s uses bit of information for the day....
While Stephen King sets many of his stories in Maine, the state actually has the lowest violent-crime rate in the U.S.

lilliann, he's a young chow surrendered by his owner to a kill-shelter in NYC

annie posted info about him in her bldg
wish i was there to give you crossy,s famous back and neck massage.after 30 minuyes all your skin is tingling and you cannot walk correctly;)
you mean they put them down?
bldg?
yes . . . but we've now been assured he's ok till someone can be found to foster/adopt him
in her apartment building :-)
i could do with one of them crossy and i can't walk correctly anyway so it be great!! :)
back in a mo *poof*
lol
are there no shelters near without the kill policy? they use to put them to sleep here but don't anymore
Sorry, I stepped away for a moment. lill, I live in a large apartment building in Brooklyn where there is a huge population of Russian speaking people. Louie, the chow, only understands Russian so I am hoping someone will adopt him. He is such an handsome young dog.
well, i think most shelters don't!
our shelter has a no kill/foster family set up
oh, well, i hope someone adopts him soon annie
we have that aswell now crossy
Yes, I hope so.
my mam and dad got a dog from a shelter in france and they speak french and english, mostly english to him and he has picked it up really quickly. i think if you say the word in the language they know and then repeat it in the language you speak they do pick it up well, as animals are clever
i suppose the same as young children
Yes, Dogs do learn quickly.
and they respond well to tone and inflection regardless

I'm going to leave work soon only to go home and make a salad...
you'll have names for things we don't know :)
yup! Like Double doubles and butter tarts!
i had cauliflower cheese for tea and still hungry!!
i might have some crackers with light sandwich spread
are yall playing about being british
double doubles?
i was really healthy - steamed fish, sweetcorn, broad beans and boiled new potatoes
and butter tarts?
what the heck is a double double
Double Double is coffee with two creams and two sugars
is cauliflower cheese not healthy? :(
that cheese sauce on the caulifloer is full of fat and calories LOL
ewww, don't like coffe or cream plus coffee makes me sleep
we are really british YP - I am Welsh and Lilliann is English
Krysten must be Canadian ... Tim Horton's ????
ahh, but i did it with skimmed milk, low fat cheese ans a bit off low fat cream cheese
I ate biscuits in the US - which are very different t biscuits in the UK (cookies)
my aunty gives me all organic stuff i cant eat fat
hello all! We have TImmys in Rhode island.
i eat lots of organic stuff too
i'm actually half welsh glant but don't speakl welsh
*speak
what is Timmys?
there are a few in New York too ... ivesy knows :-)
i remeber you telling me you had Welsh ancestry Lilliann
hi again red
Canada's most popular coffee/doughnut/pastrie chain
butter tarts (are amazing, by the way) are pastries a cup like form with a mixtures of sugar, butter and eggs in the centre. Good ones may also have raisins or pecans in them too.
so what is butter tart?
pastry even :-))
ah, we have starbucks and costa coffee now but all the old UK chains like Kardomah and Milk Bars have gone
sounds healthy...
reminds me of a flan but with sweet things
sounds like egg custards to me LOL
Love coffee but with just milk, no sugar or cream. Timmy's is horrible coffee. Anyone looking for a good coffee in Canada should NOT go to Tim Hortons.
i only love freshly ground black coffee
but starbucks and costa coffee are expensive so my hubby says and he doesn't want a latte or mochachoca thing, as he says, he just wants a normal cup of coffee!! lol
i really do not like starbucks much.
Butter tarts are not even remotely like a custard. It's more syrupy, kinda like a pecan pie.
preferably with vanilla or cinnamon syrup
I like plain coffee with milk like Krysten...
But I have liked tim hortons OK when I have been there.
i think i need a butter tart recipe...
I personally think that Tim Horton's coffee is should really be called Canadian Crack.
Hi, back for a few. Does anyone have a clue for the tu7?
i love the smell of freshly ground coffee glant. in cwmbran, there use to be, don't know if it is still there, but a coffe shop/cafe and the smell of the different coffees would go up the street, it was lovely!
tu7 rhymes with scrabbler's pets
scrabbler's pets?
aye, egg custards glant, but with sweet rhings, you're right
My fav coffee is fresh ground coffee straight from Costa Rica. Hard to find in Canada tho!
ty hurs. Just got it and thought it was little, small large weights.
Timmy's couldn't cut it in CT, replacing a local coffee, etc., place they bought out. More food options, but coffee left a lot to be desired.
scrabbler is a babbler who keeps pets... which... are like Bugs B.
Glan, think of her icon.
replacing the local place is the big mistake!
We have nothing local in town and I think we really lack. Panera is the closest to something local...and it is totally a chain.
like sweet little easter tu***** hop hop
Wikipedia description of Butter Tarts = Recipes for the butter tart varies according to the families baking them. As such, the appearance and physical characteristics of the butter tart such as the firmness of its pastry or the softness of its filling also varies[1]. In general, the English Canadian tart consists of butter, sugar, and eggs in a pastry shell, similar to the base of the U. S. pecan pie without the nut topping. It is also similar to the French-Canadian sugar pie. Additional ingredients can include currants, raisins, pecans, walnuts, coconut, dates, butterscotch, chocolate chips, peanut butter or maple syrup.[citation needed].
mmmmmnn
Ahhhh. thank you diane. I was getting something that rhymes with Abbot, and the clue was really getting me confused.
Hmmmm...making me hungry!
LOL
that's fascinating psychology, red. given that panera is a chain, what is it about it that makes you feel it is closer to something local? are you now in the area where it started?
i am still co fused about tu
No not that at all. it is the only place in town where we can get coffee and is comfortable enough to hang out, and the barista gal is good enough to try to remember peoples names.
glantrell, there is a photo of one in your icon, just use a different spelling...
Glan. Think of many hopping Easter animals and then change the first letter.
ok - i entered it into the add word box and it worked but i still can't see it in the gid LOL
becaue i only saw one u and it was the wrong u!
have a great rest of your day/evening folks! Gotta run home and make dinner for the hubby!
bye krysten
bye krsten, tc
first ut5?
we grilled some salmon last night. i forgot how delicious charcoal makes things.
ut5 - women's organs
yum. I just had cold sesame noodle, its just too hot here.
ty hurshy - i always miss that one
sesame noodle?
its chinese noodles in sesame sauce.
that'll be noodles in semame oil?
and seeds??
what goes into sesame sauce other than sesame seeds?
*sesame
I only grill with charcoal. I have no interest in a gas grill.
Sauce, not oil. more of a paste of the sesame seeds. very tasty. Nothing else.
clue for the first re6,21 please
I don't grill
is that what we call tahini?
No I dont think so. Tahini is less sweet.
i don't think we have it here then
we don't get sesame sauce here, i don't think, do we glant?
At a chinese resturaunt, youcould order it.
not here in chinese restaurants
It is very like tahini, but more sesameish.
we get oil and the seeds but never heard of the sauce
Wow! I used to date a Chinese guy, sooo....I discovered when I had it at work that most people dont know it either here.
i'm surprised that the chinese restaurants don't do it tho as we have sooo many in this country. i do like a good chinese/thai meal
I imagine they do, but also sometimes i just ask for it even if it is not on the menu and they make it.
and the menus are often so crowded.
i think my hubby is getting sick of chinese food again, bless him as he has driven chinese/thai people around the country for the last few weeks and that is all he as eaten....speak of the devil...he's on phone!
The noodle dish might be called dan dan mian. If you have an Asian grocery, you could ask for ma jiang, which is the Mandarin word ofr sesame paste.
The noodle dish might be called dan dan mian. If you have an Asian grocery, you could ask for ma jiang, which is the Mandarin word ofr sesame paste.
ou ter
i will look the next time i am near the chinese supermarket - but it is 50 miles away
Thanks, but I alreadhy have that Knight.
Sorry...sticky key again. Chinese sesame paste is much darker than tahini. If you had to substitute, peanut butter actually is a better substitute than tahini.
ty jan - making some sense now
nice icon knight..
th8?
first re 6/21?
sorry don't have that yet bichon
A machine to separate chaff?
ty jan
could you clue it a bit differently jan?
oh sure, use a machine
um, still don't get it
verb - to th**** - leads to a machine that does it for you - spearates the grain from the chaff
sorry, still to dense to get it
th**** rhymes with tress (sort of)
what does that have to do with re 5?
th 6/24: A strip of wood, metal,or stone forming the bottom of a doorway&crossed in entering a house or room is called a th****hold and a th8/50 is th6/24 plus *mergency *oom bichon.
nothing, it's the th8
but I'm asking about a re word
I'm really confused. The clue asked for was the first re6/21
i don't get the re6 either :(
I'm glad someone else is confused
but jan answered my request for the th8 and then bichon asked for clarification
so we all got mixed up
not, I was asking about the re 6/21. Sorry
oh ok, so we're not on the same word then?
just got off the phone and read chat and got confused with things :(
no, we were at cross purposes LOL -m and we still don;t have the re6
the one after what's on horse
yes that one
lol glant, i get confused enough on my own without others doing it!! lol
how about the ru 8?
ru8 - the most mobile egg yolk or honey
when your nose does this but more of it or a yolk in the middle of an egg
the thinnest
okay, that I got ty Glant, et al
ru 8/45:someone with the worst cold might have the ru****** nose bichon.

I'm stuffing and addressing my son's graduation announcements. It's good :)
sounds tedious, actually... but it's exciting that he's graduating :)
se7?
nm
I"m very excited. This is my one who has struggled in school for as long as I can remember. He's definitely earned it
Graduation announcements? Is that something I should have done for my 2 kids? Not a thing, I guess, here in UK.
hoorah for him, then, wc! :)
it's a US thing I guess jac. ty jess
se7/32 word rhymes with the he7/36 word rururocks
thanks for the he, min :)
More and more UK style stuff is coming over here to UK. We (my family) were discussing this earlier. 'Period parties', wtf is that all about? Maximum embarrassment for your daughter?
Good for your son graduating, wildcat. Why is your son not helping you, if not doing it himself?
USA style stuff, I meant. It IS 2.21 am here!
No one is forcing you to take it, Jacula?
Babb - No, I know that, but it's rammed down our throats re shops and press here.
sh7.44????
It's like the camera part ruru, but use the cow appendages instead.
ruru - what I do when I shiver at all the stupid 'days' coming over from USA.
cuz his mom is a little over eager right now. I'll let him do some later
oh.. god.. I missed that one
thanks you guys
That is quite amusing, Jacula.

The da4/5 is April 26, 2011 & here is a story of clues. I was off from work last week so I went to see family in Vermont. I got there on Saturday. My mom us 4/6 me to help her clean and get ready for Easter. Was a du6/24 and helped my mom du4/6 the house. My mom said house was du7/36 than usual because she hadn't du 6/27 in a long time. Then we washed all the floors which had st 5/10s on them. Was glad to be there to help.My mom was he 7/36 getting ready for Easter. I had a great Easter. It was fun to un5/12 w/my family for the holiday. We had not been un 6/24 as a family since Christmas. My sister, who's a nu5/12,& brother and their families were there for Easter. My one year old nephew was the entertainment for everyone. We had to de 6/21 him in livingroom so he wouldn't crawl off to places unknown. He is one cute du4/7.He knew he was the center of attention and wouldn't take his nap. Tried to hu 4/7 him, but he wouldn't be hu 6/30. It ir4/5 his parents when he wouldn't sleep. He was a te6/18 & really te 6/21 them with his antics and was driving them nu4/5. He wouldn't sleep no matter how st 5/10 they got with him. They thought he would ru 4/5 th5/12 Easter by being cranky&they would have to leave early. He had a lot of mo5/22 fighting off his sleepiness, but finally was a re 6/18 and re 6/21. His parents were st4/5ned he finally fell asleep. He didn't ut 5/12 a sound after that. For Easter dinner we had ham for the ma4/5 course. I am going to sh4/6 down this computer, get off my tu4/6 and watch tv for the re4/4 of the ni 4/4. Ni 6/18 all! See you all tomorrow.
(((hugs all))) too tired today to try (that's alliteration, in case you are wondering) *sighs heavily, mired in poetry*
uh oh, penalty box for you, stid!

hi stid
hi stid.. glad the teaching is going well (alliteration, a big middle school concept)
may i please have a clue for the first re6
yep, the word you mentioned.
hi dorens
(((doren))) thanks
hi jes... sleepily ((stid))
"three or more words, in the same sentence, that start with the same letter" -- this is how my idiot 9th-grade english teacher defined alliteration. GRRRR
re6 relaxed
*Leaves a little basket of choclit Easter eggs for Stid before she poofs away*
hey une.... is that the first?
note that there are FOUR things wrong with that definition . . .
oops, no, sorry!
no prob... was just confusedly searching for something other than what i already have
oh look! Min posted a story! *smile*
yup, and i searched in vain for the word i need... got all excited when i saw a re6, but it isn't what i need
oh, i got it!
ooh, i found an 8 while searching for an re6. woot
Hi all. Just back to do gridstuff until dessert is served.
hello Mother! what's for dessert? *sniffs air*
re + i do NOT need a ****tive to go to sleep now! see y'all tomorrow
you want to call at some point?
hi stidge
I think I have NBT now. eyes tired...
thanks, dorens
I can call a little later, if you like.
yes, that would be nice. thanks.
someone say dessert???
*Holds a bowl up and says "Please Gran Mere, may I have some dessert? *
Yes, but no coffee to go with it. We had our ration earlier today and are still vibrating.
LOL hey mcurl! figured something would draw you out sooner or later... did you get to the procession of the species this weekend? I was sick, so we gave it a miss.
nope. did that once and swear will never do again
You may have dessert MollyL. You may even have seconds. I will not be the evil tyke-master.
we used to love it, but was tired last year and sick this year. When the weather's nice, it can be a blast.
what is procession of the species?
since WHEN are you not the evil tyke-master, Mother? *pout*
had a great day at my "niece-to-be" bridal shower
Ah, how do I love Gran Mere, let me count the ways.
it's a big earth day festival in the Olympia area, has an "arts walk" with music and a lovely home-grown parade on Saturday
wonderful, mcurl! glad you are able to get out now. back to work too, or still on leave?
back to work--did day 2 today; got up a little sore by end of day hurt a bit so came home took ibuprofen and iced it
well, don't overdo it. *st5 mama look*
We maybe can get together with mcurl at Farmers' Market for an outing in May. What do you think mama?
My big hope is to make it to the Folklife Festival in Seattle Memorial Day weekend... another (one of the few) arts celebrations I enjoy.
thanks, didn't have that word yet LOL; recheck with doctor tomorrow; will try to take it easier
I think that sounds lovely. May 14 or the following weekend might be perfect.
the 14th would probably be best as I have wedding the next weekend
Okay. Well, Molly, pick up your fork for dessert is now served. Do you like vanilla and carmel swirl ice cream? Pie? Good!
All for now poofing.
yummmmmmmmm
okay, then I will work overtime to be sure I can do that. Do you want to call/email the week before to remind me? I am a bit scatterbrained, even when I put things on my calendar (which I just did)
bye, stidge, thanks for ice cream!
Later Mother!
think i'll go grab a piece of my cheesecake factory lemoncello tort from the fridge
Sure, I can put it on my list of things to do!!!
:-D thanks. between the three of us, one of us is bound to remember! LOL
isn't that the truth!
I am going to poof for now too, up to 82 words and NBT which is pretty good for me on a weeknight! ***hugs, choclits, smiles and cherry blossoms all around*** *poof*

yw -- it's probably not you -- several of us have noticed lately that we enter a word and it doesn't "take" but if you enter it again later, it does . . . go figure
weird. and frustrating...
I prefer to blame it on my dyslexic fingers.....

Hi jilli. I think everyone is watching hockey tonight. nobody here
I'm not watching, as you can see!
