We have separate cat boxes and seperate food bowls with different construction. One is tin one is plastic so we can hear when the other is sneaking food
my cat is not lovey at all. has never been on my lap voluntarily and involuntarily stays for about 30 seconds.
Show any weakness to either, and they will either bully or savage you.
I still miss my Susiecat. She was such a good girl.

I think killing possums in US and Canada wouldn't be a bad thing.

I don't know of anyone here being bothered by possums.
Our dog keeps the possums and goannas and native birds away, so pussface has no chance of getting to them.

Our cat catches at least once mouse a day but doesn't seem to go for rats. I'm pleased about that, since he usually eats his kill if I don't accept it within half an hour. Why? C

the hoarder had 15 dogs -- never let them out (they didn't know what grass WAS), fed them by piling food on papers on the floor, etc.
they were all very dirty and fur was extremely matted . . .
Sounds like the person had good intentions but bad decisions. It is sad but I can see they were only ''trying'' to help in a twisted way.

My friends cat has been trying to teach their kid from the time she was born - she is 6 months now to kill critters like a good cat. First it was moths and as she got older recently it was a half dead starling bird.
I am glad the pups have a new chance
Mr.P. Shelties are not a favourite of mine, being cut down Shetland Collie dogs, but my own dog was a Sheltie x Jack Russell and the best dog you could ever wish to meet.
I do hope the human gets help too

Herin, I do wish you hadn't mentioned that half-dead starling. It reminded me of the time when our cat brought a half-dead blackbird into the kitchen. Its head was half severed but it was still alive. My stepdaughter, who found it, was about 8 at the time. She was sure it would survive as Daddy took it away to 'look after'. It upset Beloved that he had to 'end the suffering'. BLOODY CAT!

I saw the weirdest but loveliest dog that one of my friends rescued. It was a hairless dachsund. It seemed that the dog was a cross with a Chinese Crested. It looked like a shaved Dachsund

I remember our old cat teaching the new cat (now our oldish cat) how to catch moths. He'd been jumping and slashing in mid air with no result. She waited for the moth to alight on the wall, stuck a casual paw out and then popped the moth into her mouth. 'That's how it's done!' she seemed to say. New cat looked slightly embarrassed.

I have been super awesome house wife the last few days

Friday he got a roast beef full trimmings. Weekend we were feed by his parents. Monday I did a 4 hour slow roasted lamb shoulder (not boned) full trimmings and a pasta bake last night. Tonight I am thinking potato and leek soup.
Jac he has been really supportive and helpful and I just wanted to tell him that. I also bought him a game he wanted and told him that with out him I wouldn't know what to do
