I sort of agree about the genderless thing although I do think that a lot of the trappings of traditional gender roles are unnecessary.
my son wore pink and even some of his sister's dresses when he was little. big deal. He's still pretty well adjusted
oh, people are funny, mrp, and my son was a very beautiful baby; she really thought I was going to ruin him for life by dressing him in pink. (It was a fuzzy bunny snowsuit with ears and everything - he really did look adorable!!!)

Kazz, on a practical note (I work for the Coroners Service in Ireland), there is such thing as an interim Death Certificate here, and as all our procedures are based on UK practice, I have no doubt that if your sister contacted the coroner, an interim death cert could be issued, just for practical purposes.
well we all have to come to terms with it - she was estranged from the family and now everyone is thinkings its their fault but she was a difficult girl to get on with. Her eldest sister wont come to the funeral and my son is only going because he lives with my mum and dad. She nearly got him the sack

she has got one and they released the body to the funeral directors - I think i will be less sad after next week. Also as a completely different thing my boss and the hierachy have agreed that i can go for partial retirement from September - will work 4 days and be retired for1 - looking forward to that
