dog next door is barking - could be deer
sorry been off line for a few weeks connection problems
our dogs are so laid-back that cats come into our garden and they just watch
sorry to hear that, very frustrating, isn't it
oh ruby, gentle ben!
and the cats come because there is a mouse nest under the bird feeder with big, cute, hairy field mice
I guess mice like sunflower seeds, too
they like most seeds ruby
we're in rural type area, farms, and large properties, lots of little critters - big ones too
they are really cute and one, much bigger than the others and with a reddish chest, I've named Rusty
I never see them outside, think the cat deals with that

hello, just did 15 mins of weeding and my sweet puppy got right behind me, while I was crouching down, and just nestled against me without making a sound. She touches my heart
oh that is so sweet ruby!
good morning all
hey sprite! Good morning to you too! :)
so... who is that guy in your icon? Looks pensive.
yeah, he is Iannis Xenakis, a very intriguing person. Mathematician. Architect. Musician and composer.
Sounds like an all round smarty-pants.
lol hi Haz. Yes, very smart guy. A truly mathematical mind. How are you today?
I am well. Apart from talking to yourself I assume you are fine?
I am fine, talking to myself included :) Do you have storm too?
hi all i am now not lurking - have a busy morning to day and wanted to get my words done as Strudays dissappear for me
We had horrible stormy weather last Monday and today it's just rainy and windy. It's not pleasant at all.
Hello, Kazzer.
its not too bad down here - cloudy with a few spots
about the same as here. Ready for more real Spring days. Hey Kazz!
also i now have fireworks so i am feeling quite pleased with myself
Congratulations, Kazzer!
very good job, Kazz, gratz
on ya kazz! hello all
my son celebrates his birthday with his friends today. They go bowling, come back here for food, then late night movie in town. The new Pirates movie.
hi pr pres - how are you today
good thanks kazz... very busy day reffing, so am tired, but otherwise, enjoyed the sunshine
how you going?
apologies in advance for my speling - i am having a brain disconnect between my thoughts and my fingers - I think I am typing stuff but i miles behind the brain and leave things out
np Kazz, we are all trained in reading typology
not too bad - funeral day approaching so feeling a bit tentative but also happily partial retirement also another day closer - whee
funeral day??
hope your son has a lovely day Sprite
hmmm my niece died
oh I am sorry kazz :(
sounds like life... happy and sad mingling all the time. I was very very pregnant when my MIL was buried. People congratulated us, then gave their condolences. Very weird.
thanks Kazz, am sure he will :) *hugs* for your loss.
yes - and mr pres - good luck with your op
thanks kazz. :)
i had atrans cervicle resection of the endometrium a few years ago and that was interesting
sounds bizarre!
wow, interesting isn't the first word that springs to mind here!
basically they put a lazer into your womb and burn the lining off - under anaesthetic
yes, I am having a slightly different version... a balloon filled with ultra hot gas, endometrial ablation
only ap6/24 left??? any clues please
just found it. It ends in mixed up frozen water, DTins.
it worked a treat for me. DTins - ap6 - to do with not breathing
hope it works for you just as well, mrp
right need to find some shoes - hubby wants to go the local farm shop which is quite a hike up a steep hill but he is treating me to lunch
sounds good. Have fun Kazz.
thank you sprite
see ya later kazz! **hugs**
TY Both, done
gratz, DTins, good job
congrats dt - see you all tomorrow
good morning! :0)
good morning Maryte!
hi mary
good puzzle today!
it is indeed. A very smooth start and then a good challenge.
*gulp* ....I knew there would be a catch...
part
ooops....sorry...
well something I have learned here is that the brick walls are personal. Sometimes people fly through grid that I find tough, and the other way around.
and right now I am certain I found a fi7/8 combo and it will not catch! Haz, you still around? Flames + dug out place with stones around it... not valid? Not one word maybe?
2 words I think...
yes I think so too. Those are frustrating babble moments ;)
there is another flames combo fi7 though. Hello all
hi lyn :D Long time no see. How have you been? And yes, I found two flamey words there, not a combo though.
I am well Sprite - Happy birthday to the boychild!
and sorry, I meant compound not combo
thanks :) He is 15 and almost as tall as his dad, who is over 1.90 m. And my daughter is about to be taller than me... am going to be the short one!
they get such joy out of getting taller than their Mums don't they?!
oh yes! Measuring every week, they cannot wa4 :)
happy birthday to timi!
funny how full our living room is when my son's friends are here. Those long bodies and endless arms and legs, all flying around.
thanks mrP :) His birthday was 25th, but he is celebrating with his friends today.
Terra will be having a ball - all those 'puppies' to play with
i have to wear high heals when i go out with my daughter.... she is 176cm and I am 178cm.... 13 and an Amazonian!!
oh yes! He loves company. And everybody loves Terra from the second they meet him.
oh wow! That is really tall. Lovely.
that is so lovely sprite!! tell him hello from downunder and happy belated birthday
will do, mrP :)
your kids are gorgeous sprite!
yes they are good people. As are yours. We are lucky that way, aren't we.
totally agree :)
i still want 'tran' to be a word
sounds like one to me too
i have to post a pic of the kids on flickr... brb
always nice to see them. We have been in touch for so long we really got to see them grow up.
fi4flies for me. Very nice grid, with a smooth start and later on a bite.
congrats Spritey
sweet pics, mrP. Thanks lyn :) Have a nice day/evening all.
((bye Sprite))
BBL
ok, updated most recent one... taken 2 weeks ago
Less than 24 hours and my boy will be home after working in Miami for 7 months - yay
32 W's. Rally?
Morning all.
We're one letter away from terrific!
Phantom: Aperitif
We're one letter away from terrific!
Terific will do for today. Morning everyone.
morning, all! Happy Saturday!!!
Hi sue and Molly
Same to you Sue. I just had a nice stroll communicating with my growing things.
hi, molly and bea! and kap and movieman and ursh and mrp!
NBT. That was fast!
yay, bea!
hiya, uusue
btw - has anyone seen zoomzoom lately? I haven't seen him for a while but I am kind of random about when I log on.
I have not Sue, and I miss him. Zoom, if you are here but lurking, you are missed.
always a little worrying when someone who's been regular doesn't show up for a while....
so I would have nbt except for that pesky r in the bottom center.
sue, for that r, think us actor john.....
ha! got it! thx, movieman!
yvw sue
that got me a couple more words with the same ending as well. nbt.
I miss John Ri6. I'm glad to see his son doing well in show business. He looks very much like his Dad.
what does his son do, molly? (I'm actually amazed that i got that clue as I am quite dense on current culture)
He was on the show "Joan Of Arcadia" and now he stars in the show "The Event".
His name is Jason. If you Google his picture, you'll see what I mean.
o
Jason R was also in 'Freddy vs. Jason'......
ah, thx! I do see the resemblance.
anyway, I am headed back to bed for another few minutes - see you all later!! (I love Saturdays!!!)
later sue!!!!!
hello dear babble friends
Good morning Trif. I thought of you last night, as I took the bay leaf out of the red sauce. : )
LOLOL ....my claim to fame! Oh, you are SUCH a dear, Molly! I am smiling ear to ear....
I think you should consider it a mark of distinction. Like the one who gets the baby in the King Cake.
hmmm. that is worthy of consideration! I wish I could ask a psychic or something. Perhaps it does have some significance in other cultures
here's today's excitment: borrowed a mini tiller from a lady at church, and primo and I about wet out pants laughing yesterday as we were trying to learn to handle it. It was bopping and skipping and just cracking us up. Got the hang of it, and will be spending a MAJOR portion of today chewing up parts of the yard that need it, setting in a new front walkway, and the like. Fun times!
*our pants
I am always so proud of independent women who learn how to do the "man work". *Pats Trif on the back*
gosh, thanks molly! I have to do it, circumstances being what they are. Truth is, I am LOVING my new independence and the confidence that comes from learning these new skills. Mr. Hate would NEVER have encouraged our even allowed me to do half this stuff
And that, is how we not so secretly learn that we are just fine without them. And then, they become relegated to Wicker Man status. Ahahahahaha!
I don't get that reference....
Look up the movie. I'm evil.
you are nothing like evil, and I will look it up.
okay, I looked up the movie, and searched wiki, and LOLed when I found out it's a Celtic thing, as Mr. Hate grew up in Dublin....
that movie sounds really scary!
It is trif, but the remake with Nic Cage sucks!!!!!
movieman! was just thinking of you....question: what movie in 2010 made you laugh the hardest?
I would have to say........'Kick-Ass'!!!!!!
hmmm. I am going with "easy A" -- I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard at a movie
didn't see Kick Ass though, so I will have to catch up.
my son got a list of the supposed 100 best movies of the last 10 years, and he is working his way through them. luckily he has seen more than half of them already, so he won't disappear for too many hours
Next on my agenda will be 'X-Men: First Class'
I did - ahem - receive a quite upsetting email from our internet provider, saying our account was used to illegally download a movie. Had to have a rather st5 chat with the boyo about THAT one
the worst part is, it was "Jackass 3D" .....I was more upset about that than the piracy, I think. I will go to jail for "The King's Speech" but for Jackass? That's just embarrassing
'The King's Speech'......now there's a bloody good film!!!!!
indeed! Geofferey Rush was AMAZING in that movie! I wish he had won the Oscar over Christian Bale
I would kick my kid's ass from here to kingdom come if I got in trouble with the law over a Jackass movie.
this is what I am saying, Molly. For the King's Speech, or Out of Africa, or Hitchcock I would stand up for him. If there is a fine to be paid, he's paying it for Jackass
And that...is how it should be, Trif.
How old is your son, Trif?
seriously, have I had no impression on this child at all? Jackass? geez louise!
hes 18, Movieman, so he is rather the target audience for Johnny Knoxville
I didn't have the internet when I was 18 (in 1996), so my parents were lucky really!!!!!
I've given up saying "I raised you better than that". I did, it's just that some of it didn't stick.
Hi. Can I ask where T got that list from Trifis
Yes, I think Primo was actually pretty embarrassed. Hey, it could have been a LOT worse, so I'm okay
hello herin!!! I will ask him when he wakes up. Or you can ask him on FB, when he wakes up! LOLOL
Howdy. There is a lot of lists about that is why I asked
yes, and somehow they all end with "citizen Kane"
Well I found Broke Back Mountain very very very LONG and boring
I actually liked that one. Have you seen Easy A?
A few years ago, Empire magazine published a list of their readers' Top 500 movies, and I've at least 50% of them on DVD
wow, movieman, that is really impressive!
Thank you Movie. I was trying to remember that magizine
is that a british magazine? given the title I would assume so
Yes it is trif
And I have every issue of it, dating back to June 1989
Movie is this the list : http://tinyurl.com/4gwvmw
we get maybe 6 copies of hello magazine a month over here, and I legged it to the one seller around here that carries it, but the issue after the wedding was gone in seconds. I was so bummed.
I know hello is pretty fluffy, but I like it's happy attitude and their focus on uplifting stories
its a nice change
Although I had to buy quite a few back issues from eBay, 'cos I only started getting it seriously in 1996
I will never watch Saw and I found Oceans 12 remixed to be rather dull
wow, that is quite a list herin! I posted the link on Primos' wall...
When I first saw the top 500 list, I couldn't believe that the remake of The Fly wasn't on it!!!!!
Hello!
hiya car
I can't believe Saw is on it.
OPPS wrong kid sorry Trifs I got confused with T :D
Is this the list Movie?
Hi Caree?
Yes it is, herin
Good morning car! I was so hoping to see you today!
hi babblers!
wait, what herin?
Hello!
I need to call you car, but I can't find my phone at the mo....
Trifs I put in the chat T not Primo sorrys
oh, that's okay herin. most people are well on to it anyway
Can I say that I would rather the non remake of Oceans twelve.
mine is upstairs and I am not.
Do I need to go get it?
well, then, remind me later to ask you something about grad
Thank you. I crushed my big toe last night and it is painful to walk.
golly, what is it with you ladies over there?
We are just partying hard!
car, I wrote you a message on FB...it's nothing urgent, its just my squirrely mind these days
Movie You have me curious. I am counting up that list
OK.
oh hey - speaking of graduation - I need a chog rating on this one. My son is graduating HS next weekend. If the weather is nice, graduation is outside, and there is no seating issue. If the weather is poor, grad is held inside, and each grad gets four tickets. I get one, the father gets one, and that leaves two extra. My youngest daughter will need one, and that leaves just one. I would like to offer it to my mother, but do you think etiquette dictates I offer it to Mr. Hate's boyfriend instead?
YOUR MOTHER
Got your message. Of course.
Absolutely Grammy gets it. She has been supportive of Tristan for the last 18 years...not the boyfriend.
hahaha annie - didn't take a lot of thought, did it?
sigh. and I suppose I have to invite them both to the grad party, don't i?
Not at all, Trif. She is Primo's grandmother...the boyfriend is a stranger to the family
Unfortunately that would be the right thing to do.
but he is part of the father's life, and I dont want to be THAT ex-wife
Well I think you should leave it up to the kidlet
I dont mind them coming to the party so much, as long as mr hate doesnt start acting all lord of the manor and preening around like he had SO MUCH to do with all primo's success
MOther and f them
No, you are better than THAT. You will focus on Primo and not yourself and not the father's pettiness or hatefulness and certainly not the boyfriend's place in all this. It is primo's day.
Trif, You are not being THAT ex-wife..you only have 4 tickets.
I love you guys, did I mention that yet today? there truly is no problem the chog can't solve
I have four tickets. Your Grandmother is a lot more important than a new toy
the new toy is over two years old, herin, and I am pretty sure they got married at some point....
pffft still not family
Grammy has seniority. End of story.
And if the boyfriend pouts, that is HIS problem.
You are not responsible for Mr. Hate's behavior. He is. Be kind and invite them both to the party...but Grandmother gets the 4 ticket. I dont care if they are married, grandmother gets the ticket. Are you bringing someone special??? Hmmm.
How disappointed would Grammy be?
there is also the bigger grammy problem - do you think she is up to a graduation?
Yes, annie, my youngest daughter! :)
Serve him a slice of guilt pie with a side of Catholic Guilt
Secondo is in the marching band, so no ticket for her!
OK...I just asked her. She would like to go, but does not want to cause stress for any one.
I do not believe he is capable of feeling any sort of guilt, herin. seriously. I am totally, totally serious. I do not believe he can feel guilt
Trif, If your mother has to leave the graduation early, then so be it but she was there. Let the bf pout.
she won't be stressing me out, car!
Heh, heh, heh. Tell boyfriend he can wait at the house with me...heh, heh....
Secondo goes for free?
Mr. Hate sounds like my first husband re: the guilt department.
oh, hey, car, by the way - did you get an invitation to Primo's Eagle scout thing?
Grammy has been in Primos life ALWAYS not this new person. Sorry if I sound like a bitch
Of course! We will be there!
secondo plays in the school band, so she has to be there anyway
okay. didn't know if they had gone out yet or not
Herin, join the party!
you don't sound like one at ALL herin!
oh, that reminds me, I need to call day. Where the heck is my phone????
dad, even
Well I would be upset if Grammy wasn't asked. It is sort of a family even
Seriously, trif, there really shouldn't be any argument here. You, the father, tertiare, and grammy get the tickets. If it is outside, then everyone comes and it will be fine. If Mr. Hate has a problem with that, you let Kadresa, Joe, Brian and i know. We got your back on this one.
thanks all.
OK...so enough energy spent on stressing about this! We are going to have a wonderful graduation for PRIMO!!!!!
yup
wheeeee!
I will be the one in the stands crying my EYES out
You and many other parents, so just let it all hang out!
Good morning friends
You are supposed to bawl at graduations
Hello Mr. Bob!
good morning mr bob!
or should we say mr BOO! your doggie looks ghostly!
OK...the ne 8 is just bunk.
what about the pe8?
That's even worse!!!!
is the ne 8 a compound?
never mind. got them both. silly words
I have 29 of the 32 w's with no li4, and I just cannot coax out those last 3....arrrrgh
Movie. I have seen 177 of that list. Any Woody Allen or horror like Saw and Nightmare are NOT going to be viewed ever
Trifs add the IER to any of those W words
doing that now, herin, thanks. only one more to go!
Go, Trif, Go!
We were at my b.fs sister house. IT IS massive
can't find it. oh well. need to get going on the yard anyway. have a lovely day everyone, and I hope we meet again soon
Bye honey! Talk to you later!

beautiful tulips wc, one of my favourites
I've had fresh ones in the house every day since they started opening up
lovely flosey. i don't think you can beat having fresh flowers in the house!
I don't know how they can grow, pick and ship them for $2 or $3 for 5 stems
when i used to have sweet pea, i'd have vases of them all over the place, used to drive hubby mad, but they looked so pretty and smelt lovely! plus they would grow more
I love the smell of sweet peas, don't have much luck growing them though
ah, so should have been picking them all along! will try again
i suppose because they mass produce them so can afford to9
oops, my question mark won't work
yes flosey, the more you pick them the more they grow, don't know why. i use to take the peas out of the pods and dty them out and replant them too
*dry
my herbs have taken over the raised beds I had them in
that ne 5/18 is a stretch!
just outside the back door, very convenient
i love fresh herbs. i have mine in window boxes
yes, a bit silly, nan
and the ne8 as well
i don't have that one yet nan
would like a clue tho please
well lil, you've heard of the golden oldies
ne5 is singular though
thanks flosey. i was looking the wrong way
we
pa 8, please? -- just a hint?
we're having a gentle but steady rain here this morning
we have had a steady rain here for..ohh bout a week and a half;((
another very strange word nan
we finally got some decent rain yesterday, water restrictions were about to happen. Fortunately the roses don't mind the dry conditions.
{{crossy}}
((RUBY))
sounds like a mixed up word for a social gathering
I think I need more of a hint than that, flosey - lol
start with the capital of france minus last letter nan
but there is some flower in the garden that smells really strong in a nauseating way and I have no idea which one
I lost quite a few plants in the drought so far including astilbes
we have had some heavy rain here at times this week but still very dry.the wind has been really bad tho
which just shrivelled up and died
ends in var***i**
sorry, nan, that was a clue if you still needed it
ty flosey -- just trying to figure out what the va word is
meaning various
we are saturated here, the trees and grass have come along at such a rate that it is like a jungle on the side roads i i believe that if we ever do see any form of sunshine again that you will actually be able to hear the grass growing as it grows up over the ground floor windows! lol
sounds like kudzu or a steven king movie
lol crossy, sounds like the snow in Kimberley BC
lol do not talk of that, the last snow left our ski hill but 3 weeks ago lol
then the rain started..;(
oh my! late this year
ty lilli and flosey
they had no snow at our local ski resorts this year; the world is topsy-turvy
yw nan
i think there mught of been 2 day of sun in the interm
the trees over the road from me are looking very bedraggled and sorry for themselves. i feel sorry for the poor birds! my cats have been bringing me loads of "gifts" lately but i don't think they have been catching them, i think the poor birds have just fallen from nests as many of them are to young to fly!
yw nan
my jays are looking for their peanuts
we are also getting liquid sunshine with temps about 12C cooler than normal
brb
that is very cold, nan!
here it's about 10C at night and 20-25C in the afternoon
yes -- sitting here in long pants and a turtle neck tee -- instead of shorts and a light top
and occasionally up to 30 before yesterday's rain
lol, the deck is very wet - almost did the splits!
careful flosey!!!!!
lovely -- can't wait to get to Europe -- hope it is the same in the southern part of England
*puts on Chuck Berry music for Flosey*
the weather here is perfect unless you own a ski resort or a golf course
lol, thanks ru

hi kap
hi and bye kaplan. must go and wrangle some dinner
I am ready to kick some serious butt on the courts today
good luck then, enjoy
bye ruby, tc
How the hell are ya!
see you after dinner maybe
there is a beautiful road up in the hills that i like to take the mrs on when we go for our sunday drives and it really made us think what the progress of man has sneaked away from our lives.we were driving at random enjoying nature when i turned onto a road that had an entire canopy of of trees over top of it for its entire 2 mile length, what sun there was was coming through the chunks in the leaves overhead and making dappled patterns in us and the road we followed.we wondered at the reason as to why the road was allowed to remain like this and not trimmed back like the others when it dawned on us that we were in a small amish/mennonite area. They often prefer to have no power to their homes and live off the farm entirely.so there was not a need for power poles or lines on this road and no need to trim back bushes or the trees or the grass.it was beautiful and we discovered that while electricity is nice we found something lost that we had forgotten was taken away....
I'm fine.. did you recover after your nap the other day?
hi kap
m..cough..tea and meds for crossy..brb
yes, i may well still be here plodding along!! :(
hahah lilliann
that crossy is a poet! he has a very lucky mrs!
how beautiful it sounds, crossy
I wanna marry Crossy- my proposal still stands.
*Gets out of the way of butt kicking Ruru*
aww shucks...
that sounds beautiful crossy
we have a "tree tunnel" in Annecy, along the lake, huge old linden trees
*good idea Molly*
you'd have to start liking bacon Kaplan
We have one of those in the State Park down the street, Ruby. They are awesome.
we have places like that here where the trees cover the roads. they always look so pretty, especially in winter covered in snow!
we have one here too right by Beringer winery
actually i am cut off from bacon but twice a month now:(
there used to be one on a wide street in Binghamton NY, but it was elms and they had to cut them all down
our back yard goes up a very heavily treed hill
*passes out at Crossy's comment*
are there dogwoods, flosey?
Oh- yeah. How about a torrid meatless affair then?
i take it you had your cholesterol tests in teh end then crossy?
LOL kap
a few, ruby, we have planted one but will take a few years
hot vegan sex
and i stopped for some fresh eggs and jam at one place.did you know that amish/mennonite women keep a continuous 6 month supply of food in the cold storage and and endlessly rotate it for freshness?
no dogwoods here
*takes a roll in the Tofu*
good morning babblers :P
howdy nono
My daughter when she was little was talking about how a friend's oldest daughter was a virgin...she meant vegan...
hi nono
hello hello and bye bye no no!
we tried that when hubby had C for the second time, I even made my own - was much easier to eat
hahaha kap
I know I've told that story before but it's a favorite.
lol kap
cute Kap
I know I've told that story before but it's a favorite.
i need some computer help don't know if anyone can help but here goes
love it
i just downloaded IE9 but now I can't open an IE browser
I had to have it taken off my computer, now use Firefox
first st 6/21, please?
life is too short to micro manage my food choices, byt we now buy 1!!! pound of bacon for the month and have the fridge full of celery andcarrots and that veggie dip and the cheese and cracker packs.there are apples and oranges in baskets on the table...so not dieting per se..just making healthier food choices available
when i was younger i was on a bus with my mam and said "look, ther's a godmother" so my mam was looking around for one of my god mothers and couldn't see them, and then she realized i was taliking about a nun! it is funny what children perceive!
I got into quite a mess when I downloaded IE9
nm -- found it
ewww@ I.E
sorry nan, too much chit chat going on here!
I also have chrome and firefox but i have one site ( my bank that will only work with IE so i really do need it
st 8 is a stretch also
nan, first thing you do to fix I.E is use it to download google chrome or firefox!!
agree nan
and a mouthful nan
:(
I already have them Crossy
would that be the person who deals with st5
try saying it after a few drinks!! lol
I just bought a laptop with win 7 os -- having a problem with blue screen occasionaly -- is this generic to win7?
not that i have had one yet, waiting until 5pm and then may have glass of wine. it might help to find my last words :)
i am sorry nan,it has been over 6 years now since i have used I.E,so i am not much help for it,s problems
no,it is not nan
u have 7 on the wifes computer and it is fine
thanks anyway crossy
if you are talking to me crossy -- the problem is with windows, not ie
i'm computor illiterate nono so can't help i'm afraid
I have windows 7 on my work computer and it has been quite stable, nan
Last night, it took me 4 attempts in safe mode to get the program booted again
not good
when is the last time you ran c cleaner?
do you have virus protection, nan?
especially on a 6 month old laptop!
no I've scanned the whole thing
c cleaner,avg and ad-aware=your security trinity
about 2 months, crossy -- good idea!
thanks for reminding me crossy - time to do that! ran Malware but not clean, bfn folks,
I would raise hell with a bank that only worked in IE.
I do run avg
what is ad-ware?
pop up blocker?
and of course disk clean and defrag once a month or so
we have some software at work that I have to use that only runs on IE and it irritates the heck out of me
ad-aware is a free pop up malware scanner program that catches and deletes the bad stuff ;0
oh great -- will download it when I finish here
when i set up a new build of mine i load in order....avg anti virus...C-cleaner,ad-aware the win zip,win rar and any other media player so i can get rid of windows media player lol
hmmm - I am being mauled by a large cat. They must not have been fed this morning yet :-)
and chrome of course
morning all!
I use windows media player a lot though
downloaded chrome -- but don't like it
morning, rbud!
it is good in its way,but is a resource hog
hi rbud
ij
hi, legend :-)
don't like the way the windows in it set up -- takes up too much screen space -- doesn't matter so much on the desktop, but it does non my little 11.1" notebook
i love tweaking my computers to get the leanest meanest program but in turn ones that use the least resources so i can ramp the spped up on everything and get the best framerates without stutter
hi legend
howdy legand
legend often has little to say.. yesterday it was simply "T"
vlc media is a good player
a man of few words (or even few letters :-)
and hi, ruru!
morning uu
maybe it is some kind of Legend code?
mu wife says my verbosity is such and being a taurus that if one could harness the flapping of my gums to generate alternate power sources, that the world would indeed be a better place
fireworks!!
TIJ.. . maybe Legend is trapped in Tijuana mexico and needs our help
hey all
what has being a taurus got to do with verbosity? -- I'm a taurus and I don't talk much ;)
well, I think the world is a better place with you in it anyway, crossy :-)
and hi, jeff!
and yay lilli!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
since it's not in the puzzle today, why is that nene goose not allowed as a plural nenes?
heehee, crossy! and congrats, lilliann!
always wondered 'bout that
<---- is restraining herself from commenting on the inanity of astrology
lol sue
I am a Feces.. what about you UU?
I am a physics :-)
that's the thirteenth sign
ty sue
and nene must be one of those collective nouns; the plural seems to be geese :-)
ok, that makes sense
I am reminded of a science teacher I once had who said that mine and best friend's mouths were the closest thing to perpetual motion he'd ever seen - should be harnessed for power sources...
cybernan the taurus sign is famous for the gift of the gab,if we meet for the first time ,all you have to do is sit quietly and nod your head and you will know my entire life in about 20 minyes;)
minutes
that wasn't very nice, rbud (although I understand the temptation with kids who talk in class a lot)
..that kid is in therapy now rbud..it's okay
oh - Frank is home - have to see how he is feeling, bbs
i tried therapy once..after a week or 2 she developed a tic over one eye and had this most interesting vein that would pop out on her forehead..being the nice guy that i am,i recomended a good therapist for her and went on my way content with life
*off to tennis.. later taters*
bye ruru
tc ru
*!* ta da *!* - ty for the great clues earlier
yay, nan! :)
to be perfectly candid, after 3 bouts of cancer i no longer need anything like that.cancer as i have told you is both a blessing and a curse.it strips away and disposes of all those petty things in life you used to worry and fret over and the important things rise to the top, family, love,a good book,a pet,a walk in the summer rain hand in hand with your mate.you discover that worrying is for naught as it is like trying to empty an ocean with a teaspoon.you think to your self"i was actually worrying about THAT!! and now here i sit having defeated death and feeling the rush of wind as it passes me by....lol tea is ready brb
anyone need help before I leave?
ap6?
amen, crossy, I hear that.
well said, crossy
ap 6 is to do with the sleep disorder (make it adjective)
my husband has that. I should know that word.

ty nan
*Susan Lucci's role

aha, I see the en4 now, and the er - thank you!
ci 7: sounds like a water tank -- drop the s and double the consonant
ty nan
pa8,45?

Thanks Nan. Had the 9 but had no clue what it meant.

without the "a"
whew, finally found fi6.30 - haven't seen that one for a while
hint, aloy?
fi + unit of land measurement
ty - new to me
I'm still trying to figure out what the fi7 is
yw, glad you found it
morning all.
hi red
i found an fi6... but i couldnt make it into a fi7 :(
fi7 = conflagration + cooking utensil
hi red!
thanks aloy!
No Aloy, I have the word, I just don't get the definition.
i wanted firepit but it's not having any of that!
You're close Glant
oh, ok.. maybe something you use in the place you burn logs?
whats the stat for the 9?
i have it molly
pe9/60
Yeah, but it's not called that in the States, it's a British word I think.
is ti a plural wild?
blame it on the Brits, lol
I think it's actually where you put the ashes after the fi4
i found a pe8 yay me
yes cos
I'm supposed to be at the store right now but I just don't feel like it
got the 9!
yay, cos!
cos is on a roll!
and hi again, all!
and two pe8's with it.
I"m also supposed to be lecturing 3 16-year-old girls on being out close to midnight last night in the neighborhood and getting picked up by the police
yay cos!
but I don't feel like doing that either
hi sue
now im trying to find the 3rd th word....
do you have a curfew in your area, wildcat?
good luck with that one wild.
midnight. it was like 20 minutes before that, but according to the deputy they hid from him when they saw him
I'm waiting to go to bike riding therapy, and frankly, I just want to go back to bed.
ok bottom row T is done.
now i need to go shower.. then head to territorial days
hagd all
bye, cos, hagd
Oh Wild, I had that same thing happen, only with teenage boys.
bye, cos!
ha, my son when he was 16 was out playing late at night with some of his buddies - they were playing in an elementary school playground and then climbed to the roof of the school. The police came, charged them all with criminal trespass, and he had to pay a $1500 fine!!! Struck me as being excessive especially as there was no damage.
Oh My Oh My!!! None sounds nice!
agree with you, sue
the conviction was supposed to have been struck from his record as he was a juvenile but the arrest is still there :-(
bummer, sue - hope it goes away
police can be hard on kids when they catch them where they're not supposed to be
really really stupid imho
sue I think you actually have to take action to have that kind of thing removed from the record once he's eligible
sounds like last summer here, dau's boyfriend's kids were visiting, they and 3 or 4 others climbed on top of the roof of the bathroom in the nearby park, whole crew of road repair guys stood around watching, then called police when they said the kids wer "breaking off shingle pieces and throwing them"
well, I understand being hard on them, and they shouldn't have been on the roof, but it still seems excessive
we did once the fine was paid off
*sigh* one of the joys of parenthood that I wasn't quite expecting :-)
tried to charge their parents for a new roof, but the estimate was for a much larger area of roof, like just enough to redo the mayor's house, haha.
yeah no kidding. she's my youngest and I thought was the most responsible considering that she's watched her older siblings and their shenanigans
what I don't get was why didn't the road crew say something, like "hey you kids shouldn't be up there!" - they are all 9 to 12 years old. Nooo, waited and called the cops. Sigh.
ah well - I have friends whose children are in much more serious trouble, so I am overall glad that it was nothing worse
that's men for you
you are right, rbud, those were little kids! people have no sense sometimes.
good perspective sue. sometimes kids will just be kids. I'm hoping this is the end of it for her
meanwhile I do not see how there can possible be 15 words from that a.
I have 13 of them so there's hope
*possibly
15 a word not a problem, but the Ps....
really enjoyed this grid! finito.. anyone like a clue?
yay aloy!
yay, aloy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(and then, to top it all off, the cop who lives in town here came by the library - which I run - looking for the father [our dau's BF] to give papers to, and ended up yelling at ME when I suggested it was handled badly and the estimate was ridiculous. I told him to get out.) :P
hint for pe7 would be good
add a comparative ending to the pe5 before it
ty aloy
(can't have people yelling in the library, right?) ;p
yw Glant, sun is out finally! hagd all.. poof
Ps pulverised
yay, glant!

why are you dieting crossy?
all my grease is olive oil
50 pounds overweight and i sweat now when i comb my hair lol
oh i know that feeling - my anti cancer pills helped me put on a couple of stone and it didn;t matter what i did it wouldn;t go
but i have finished the 5 yr course and the weight is slowly falling off as long as i eat sensibly
same here, when done with chemo i was 160 pounds(30 pounds underweight) and now i am 50 over

i am also done my course and am just doing the twice yearly x-ray blood work and ct scan

sorry crossy :P
back for a couple of words, maybe
I give up with 73 left.... :( going to have some ice cream
and now i must leave you all,but before i go,here is crossy,s tidbit of the day...
Charlie Chaplin once entered in a Charlie Chaplin look-alike contest in a theater in San Francisco. He lost.
poink!
dolly parton said the same thing yesterday on the ellen show....
and with that I must go do my daily 20 mins of post op rehab, see you all later...
good luck with the rehab, red!
back. girls lectured and stores conquered
are you in for alcohol or drugs red?
just kidding..
oh, good, wild, hope the girls have learned not to hide when the cops come around :-)
or leave the house after I go to bed lol
indeed.
gobbling lunch then get ready to leave for graduation in an hour
I found out many years later that when my son was that age he would get up around 1 am, ride his bike 7 miles to his girlfriend's house, climb in her window, (then I am omitting some details), and then ride home. Gahhhh!
there really aren't any more words in this grid
yeah I found out something similar about my oldest daughter
.. mmm..lol.. uu
years after the fact, of course. arrrghhh is right
supposedly there are 86 that I have yet to find, but they are certainly not obvious.
oh, well, there are plenty of things I am just as glad my parents never knew...
I was good. I really didn't do anything I wasn't supposed to
I was pretty good in high school (probably due as much to lack of opportunity as anything) but college was a bit of another story.
<--started young
well, there really were 15 words from that a! who knew?
now you do
crete
although with 84 left I am listing and already typing random letters
I've gotten down to 17
wow, wild!
pe 7 anyone?
don't have it, ruru
although if you're offering I'll take one :-)
pe5 + more of ending
presumably this is a pe5 that is not the oyster thing
thanks a lot wild
no but it starts the same way. ends in different letter
yw
oh, thx, ruru!
