1:05 am

There's a car or plane in this grid.

1:05 am

hi Neil!

Hi Mary! :)

1:05 am

I feel like a heel

lol!! hi all :)

I could go a hock myself

a Canadian couple wanted it, but then decided they'd rather drive to work from an hour away... silly decision on their part...

Hi mrp. :)

ruru?

1:06 am

well I'm glad YOU said it ru.. I was just tip-toeing around the issue.

1:06 am

hi neil. yes?

1:06 am

<---sorta pumped up

hi neil

Yeah, hi? :P

Hi Dee.

1:07 am

oh..hi how are ya

1:07 am

..he said archly.

1:07 am

I was lost in punning

1:07 am

lol m9

So I noticed... and fine thanks. You? Other than the knee pain?

1:08 am

I had to take birkenstock of myself m9

*hits ruru with... whatever's handiest*

1:09 am

oh.. not bad.. doctor appt today.. I may get a steroid shot in my knee to help with inflamation

lol

1:09 am

do you mean that? OR are you just being fasciitis??

1:09 am

LOL

You're just lucky the closest item I can reach right now is a cushion, ruru.

1:09 am

I won't be able to kneal in church for a while now

Unless I use my laptop and no, not doing that.

I hope the shot helps, ru.

1:10 am

you'd lose income doing that neil.. don't

Paul Bunion would be laughing his head off

1:10 am

confession much??

1:10 am

<---not big on needles

1:10 am

lol dee

Uh, what income? For now. I need to find another assignment soon! And put my car up for sale.

1:10 am

at these corny jokes?

cortisone shots are a lifesaver

1:11 am

what?

Not but if the needle really helps reduce the pain and inflammation for you, ru, it's worth it.

1:11 am

I hope it's just cause you don't need it Neil, and not just from hardship?

1:12 am

jeez in LA.. people drive across the street to buy a coffee

had them in my thumbs... helped immensely

A little of both, Mary. Have my truck on the road now and don't need 2 vehicles. And I haven't worked since August but I'm not sweating it. I'll find something... just need to do it soon.

1:12 am

were the opposible or disposable dee?

1:13 am

ah.. you have another ride.

what are you looking for neil and where are you located?

I don't ruru. My apartment building is 1000ft from an In-N-Out. Which isn't really a good thing.

LOL ru!!

1:13 am

ugh neil..

I'm a journalist, Dee. I just need to see what assignments are posted in the databases I use online.

gotcha

1:14 am

at least you won't have to lube your car neil

1:14 am

hi neil -- I just got back from kitchen cleanup

1:14 am

wishes jilli was in my kitchen

1:15 am

I made vietnamese vegetarian spring rolls tonight jilli with rice paper and chopped veggies.

pr 7/44

1:15 am

oh yum!!

Hi jilli.

1:15 am

and a chili /vinegar lime dipping sauce

Those sound yummy, ruru. I love Asian food.

yummmmmm

1:16 am

well.. I have 100 words.. and now I have to go crash some cars (speaking of vehicles)

1:16 am

they are a pain in the butt to make tight

1:17 am

mmm, ruru -- love spring rolls.

Oh and I forgot to say, Mary, add to that the fact that I've just moved... that cost a little.

1:17 am

112 m9.. catch up

Yep. They're delish.

I had a great salad tonight... mixed greens, chicken, almonds, pecans, shredded carrots, dried cranberries, chopped bacon, warm dressing similar to what is used in spinach salad

1:17 am

they did come out pretty good jilli..except for the first one.. which looked like a big fat joint you'd see in Jamaica..lol

Haha! Sounds good to me.

1:18 am

neil -- do recognise my icon clue? (That's the theme this time).

1:18 am

that sounds tasty dee

it was delicious

Oh yes, jilli. :) Thanks... didn't see that one yet but do now.

1:19 am

I'm allergic to nuts.. but I love them.. can't eat them

1:19 am

I'd be bummed if I couldn't eat nuts... adore them

lol

Me too Dee.

1:20 am

ruru, I have a friend who is lethally allergic to nuts -- can't even touch someone who has eaten them.

Well part of you is that's for sure, ruru... and me too.

1:20 am

wow

Wow, jilli. That's really scary.

peanut allergies are often like that jili

1:20 am

I have an epi-pen handy in my car..

Wow, ruru. That's too bad... are you allergic to any kind of nuts?

1:21 am

she and her hubby are always carrying epi-pens

smart

1:21 am

I have a similar reaction to anyone who has voted republican jilli

I bet jilli.

haha, ruru!

1:22 am

:D

Don't you mean... no, I'd better not say it. But you know. The correct spelling of that word.

I'll email it to you. Now. lol

1:23 am

I was very fond of cousins who even liked Limbaugh -- as long as they didn't talk politics. Funny thing is they used to be Democrats in the Roosevelt days.

1:23 am

(They are both deceased now)

Ok ru... check email.

1:24 am

ty diz

Woops, ruru.

Oh, ruru?

If you're still there... see the blog yet?

1:41 am

oh damn -- just noticed a couple of white spots on the front of my dark green turtleneck. Must have splashed some bleach. I'll have to search for a dark green Sharpie :(

Uh oh.

1:45 am

Hi jillibus - definitely Peter Sellers that one from Songs for Swinging Sellers ...... "I had to cut the kneecaps out Major, my kneecaps went all green." "Well, just take my fountain pen and ink in where the flesh shows."

1:45 am

Hi Neil: floor space visible up to 70%

Hi scouser! Oh great... way to go!

That's real progress. Doesn't it feel god?

Good even? lol

1:46 am

hi scouser -- so appropriate, lol!

Inspires you to keep going on it, huh?

1:47 am

Yes it does. Grandchild due here this afternoon.... must set up her igloo tent in lieu of playpen.

Well keep at it... just get at least one task accomplished each day and it will all add up to a neat, clean, organized home.

1:53 am

eyes and brain have stopped working, time to quit this for now. Ruru -- please get that steroid shot -- just shut your eyes and you won't see the needle. Goodnight all....*poof

Yes ruru. If you're still here... get that shot!

oh yeah, life goes on... Long after the grilled sandwich is gone. I am so tired LOL!!

Hi again, mrp. :)

Re-writing John Cougar's lyrics huh?

2:17 am

ah that is a nicer size of grid. Morning all.

Hi sprite. :)

2:18 am

hi neil

The phantom word of the day is "prurient"

2:20 am

Ks. Of course it is a K grid. Grrrrr.

2:20 am

good one, hi Samantha

Only 4 easy K words though.

So how bad is that?

2:21 am

there ain't no such thing as an easy K word, lol

Sure there is. I got one without even trying.

Hi sprite, all

You will too... you'll see. ;)

2:21 am

yep but that is the difference between you and me. I am K challenged. :D

2:22 am

nm me, I love bitching about K words

Haha!

So I see. :P

I'm trying to figure out which word your icon is a clue for?

2:22 am

my icon? For all.

2:22 am

hey ruru, come back here, you are in the grid.

2:24 am

ok Ks killed, one is definitely german

You are in this grid too.

So I should be in the PB already.

sp6,21 is what I have to call you now.

Yep. That's the one I got without trying.

2:25 am

omg didn't even see me. Thanks :D

Haha, yw.

I was so pleased about greying out the Gs . . . until I realized that there are fourteen of them, not four. Oh well.

2:34 am

lol Samantha... I know that feeling!

sorry, phone doesn't stop!

2:36 am

no need to apologise, real life must come first :) Hi sweetie, how are you doing?

yeah need to do something to amuse myself... thought I might rewrite the english language at the same time.

MIL is coming around to give her son a good talking to... she is actually understanding his lack of 'whatever' and on my side!!! OMG~!~ stunned

2:42 am

about time if you ask me. Very good. I hope she will get through to him.

all his avoidance, his tactics, his lack of follow through, his mum is going to fix it apparently!! that.... my friend, is a miracle!

how you going sprite :)) ?

2:43 am

yeah well, so she hopes, lol. But if the intention and motivation is there, there is hope.

2:43 am

yeah I am ok... things are a bit bumpy but am managing. Could use a bit more sleep though... sounds familiar? ;)

oh yeah! are you a 3.30am sleeper too?

some nights, i just want whatever Michael Jackson was given.

2:44 am

lol yes about... fall asleep somewhere around that time, get back up at 5.30 am.

2:44 am

either that or a rubber hammer and a strong arm.

oh that sucks!! little sleep and stress are almost lethal

2:46 am

if only I were that lucky, lol. Ah well, things could be worse.

same sprite.

2:47 am

*hugs* At least we never lose our sense of (black) humour, right?

indeed darling! and with halloween coming up... my witches outfit is coming out early!

2:48 am

oh wooooot! We don't really celebrate Halloween. Which sucks, if you ask me. I'd love to celebrate that.

neither do we, but the street kids around here do... we have to have something for them

2:49 am

we have Sint Maarten, when the little ones go door to door and sing... but not with creepy stuff, alas. It is on Nov 11. Rather boring.

when i lived in europe, we celebrated day of the dead on 1st Nov at the cemetary... was incredibly magical and a wonderful experience. all graves were decorated with candles and flowers and notes of love.

2:51 am

sounds really beautiful.

it was sprite... could see the glow of the cemetary from miles away!

Munch, crunch.

3:10 am

I don't feel any weight there?

3:12 am

some days I get out of bed with an earworm... a song that won't get out of my head. And today it is some ancient mushy song... Only two lines, actually... 'a kiss is just a kiss.... a smile... is just a smile...' Jeezzzzz! Get out of my head!

3:18 am

hi flosey

3:19 am

your icon is still on oct 5, flosey... is something wrong or are you just not in the mood?

3:21 am

GOOD MORNING

3:21 am

HELLO, SPRITE. tHANK YOUU FOR YOUR CHOW CHOW THEME

3:21 am

*whispers calmingly to ruby: good morning dear*

3:21 am

As Time Goes Bye

3:22 am

whoops, didn't mean to shout. Big klutzy pinkie

3:22 am

yvw rubyfoo, it was the icon for your birthday that I had... thought I remembered that you missed it back then.

3:22 am

hi Dianne... yes, that is it!

3:23 am

no no, birthday is in April. That was chow day!

3:23 am

Play it again, sprite!

3:23 am

arrrgh I hate earworms! ...the world will always welcome lovers...

3:24 am

I get them all the time but usually much worse songs

3:24 am

hello Dianne

3:24 am

Hi all - everyone good?

3:24 am

sorry, I am not saying it right. I reused your birthday icon for the chow theme day.

3:24 am

yeah am good, and you?

3:25 am

getting over a cold so stayed home today.

3:26 am

ahah. My only phone calls are telemarketers (to whom I say, "Sorry I don't speak French) or my sister

3:26 am

wise decision, Dianne. I hope you are being nice to yourself and cuddling up with blanket, tea and babble :)

3:26 am

hello neil

3:26 am

woould you like to borrow a stinky, but sweet and beautiful, chow chow?

3:26 am

your sisteer to whom you say: Sorry I don't speak english? ;)

3:27 am

sure ruby, your chow is always welcome here

3:27 am

that's a good idea, sprite!

3:28 am

(and you are in the grid)

3:28 am

yes! Neil told me. And ruru is too!

3:28 am

ruru and I are arm in arm... we share a letter today.

3:29 am

nice image

3:29 am

yeah :) I know worse people to be that close to.

3:30 am

and less funny

3:30 am

absolutely :)

3:31 am

oh lol... just looked up the lyrics of my earworm and I am even singing it wrong! It is not a smile, but a sigh.

3:36 am

ah, well, sprite, the fundamental things still apply, lol!

3:36 am

good morning rbud

3:36 am

hehehe rbud, you are right as ever. *hug*

3:37 am

hi, ruby! :)

3:38 am

I've had an earworm the last few days, too, it's the "Kiss From a Rose" song by Seal... quite pretty but a bit complex to go around humming. :\

3:39 am

much better son. And so very fitting for you :)

3:39 am

song*, not son

3:39 am

don't know anything after '98.....

3:40 am

yes, I was installing it into my profile in a gamesite I hang out in, and had to watch half a dozen versions to pick one out, haha

3:40 am

betu everything from much much earlier, even before I was born. Sometimes I get the really dopey popular songs from the 20's and 30's

3:40 am

but*

3:41 am

but it is a treasure chest, the internet, don't you agree? I remember sitting down as a teenager, playing songs over and over and over to get the lyrics... or longing to hear a song again but not knowing the name or artist.

3:41 am

I was named after an old song by Nelson Eddy and Jeanette MacDonald, some days I go around singing that one. It's from an old Canadian Mounty movie of some sort.

3:42 am

same here, rubyfoo, with a few exceptions that are more modern.

3:42 am

that is so romantic :)

3:42 am

and movie music

3:42 am

that is very sweet rbud

3:42 am

I even have an old album with the song on it.

3:43 am

"Rose Marie, I love you I'm always thinking of you Of all the girls I've met I can't forget you Sometimes I wish that I had never met you!"

3:43 am

rbud: Only a rose?

3:43 am

makes me laugh. :)

3:44 am

from the vagabond king?

3:44 am

so sweet!

3:44 am

oh that is great :D

3:44 am

It's just called "Rose Marie"

3:45 am

ah ok :D I thought I was being a great detective. I stand corrected ;)

3:45 am

rose is an important name in our family: husband's mother, my aunt, our first chow chow, his grandaughter, husband's best friend's wife, etc etc

3:45 am

it is a beautiful name

3:45 am

geez I have tried and tried to look for a song with my name....Elizabeth!

3:46 am

hello grannie! how are you feeling?

3:46 am

that's my mother's name

3:46 am

was born in a Catholic hospital in Chicago, but we weren't/aren't Catholic - the nuns congratualted Mom on naming me a fine Catholic name, but she said "no, it's a song from a movie" and they were scandalized, haha!

3:46 am

hiya dizgrannie :)

3:46 am

hahah, rbud!

3:47 am

3:47 am

dizgrannie: Frank Sinatra sung for you: Dressed in dreams for me You were what I wished to see Elizabeth, Elizabeth Love was very new Make believe was coming true Elizabeth, Elizabeth You were all much too much Out of reach and out of touch When you came to me I found it could never be Elizabeth, Elizabeth, Elizabeth So a dream has to end When it's real Not pretend Dressed in memories You are what you used to be Elizabeth, Elizabeth Elizabeth

3:47 am

diz....dont know any songs....but there was a rock band from the 70's named....Thin Lizzie....is that close enuf?

3:48 am

oooh, and Frank Sinatra, too, cool! :D

3:48 am

a fitting tribute

3:48 am

hello flosey. John Kelley is in a Thin Lizzie tribute band called Think Lizzie

3:49 am

Hey Sprite, whats the name of that song? wanna look it up

3:49 am

and Michael Jackson had a song : Elizabeth I love you: Elizabeth, I love you You're every star that shines in the world to me Elizabeth can't you see that it's true Elizabeth, I love you You're more than just a star to me

3:50 am

Sinatra's song is called 'Elizabeth'

3:50 am

LOL Flos kow Thin Lizzie.

3:50 am

I feel reinstated as an internet detective now :D *smug*

3:50 am

that's our sprite!

3:51 am

I bow to your detectivism, sprite! :)

3:53 am

I think the only song with my real name in it is one from Abba.

3:53 am

water Lou? (just kidding!)

3:54 am

roflol!

3:54 am

I am stuck on the k's, does anyone have a clue?

3:55 am

the song is Cassandra... a sad song

3:55 am

ruby, they are all ku. 4-5-4-5 letters

3:55 am

lovely name!

3:55 am

which one are you missing?

3:55 am

thank you :D

3:56 am

got them, k's kilt! ty

3:57 am

wtg :) There are at least 2 german words in the grid today.

3:57 am

Hello sp6/21 I wonder how many of us would end up in the PB today? Anyone want clues before I go?

3:58 am

I think we get a "get out of jail free" card when one of our friends is in the grid (I hope....)

3:58 am

hi scouser

3:58 am

hiya scouser, yes a lot of us, I am afraid. A good day to make the PB extra pleasurable :) I am good, thanks.

3:59 am

why is there at least one german word in the grid today? I thought we worked in "English"?

3:59 am

sometimes Welsh, don't forget!

3:59 am

beats me. Loan words, no doubt.

4:00 am

Oh yes - and all those Scottish dialect hae- etc words that no-one uses, ever except R Burns

4:00 am

don't know any German :(

4:00 am

how about iwis

4:00 am

or, I think, cwis

4:00 am

you need it for sp7/40

4:00 am

you do now, rubyfoo. You found ku5/24.

4:01 am

iwis is middle english not used since 1400 except in poems - Chaucer/ian

4:01 am

hah, found sp7! yay

4:01 am

I thought that was yiddish

4:01 am

lol some lyrics for me: Pity Cassandra that no one believed you But then again you were lost from the start

4:01 am

poems and babble, aah poetic babble

4:01 am

yiddish is part middle-European

4:01 am

I sooo love iwis. I love ywis even better. And the pf word today...

4:02 am

I'm lucky, have Nancy with the laughing face!

4:02 am

yiddish is very much like german.

4:02 am

or Dutch?

4:02 am

ft

4:03 am

I think yiddish borrowed from all the local languages

4:03 am

hi mema

4:03 am

Hello Mema what is ft?

4:03 am

most like german, but german and dutch are close. Yes, yiddish and dutch are kind of close too.

4:03 am

see you later, ladies

4:03 am

hi Mema

4:03 am

bye ruby

4:03 am

ta ta ruby

4:04 am

I suppose I should have said tarrah in Liverpool fashion

4:04 am

Sorry - hit the wrong keys

4:04 am

I thought it was another chog code.

4:06 am

no problem, Mema, nice to see you in chog

4:06 am

yes it is, scouser. FT means fast tingers. Typo for fingers.

4:07 am

I must go and do more envelope-stuffing for a campaign. Anyone feel like putting in a vote for us: see http://communityforce.natwest.com/proj ect/5132 and vote for Friends of Williamson's Tunnels in Liverpool. You get three votes: only one for us permitted. Thanks all.

4:08 am

There is £6000 at stake.

4:08 am

will do

4:08 am

best of luck with it, scouser! :)

4:09 am

Hmm sp6/21 (though I cannot go to PB as I have fireworks already before I started chatting..... or should I go and see what goodies are in there?)

4:09 am

Thanks rbud

4:09 am

Thanks all.

4:09 am

Envelopes flapping. Byee

4:10 am

scouser, how do I vote?

4:10 am

always check out the PB for goodies, grin... it is the best place of babble

4:13 am

nm, the text on the buttons was very slow in appearing... I voted for your project now

4:17 am

fi4flies! Interesting grid.

4:19 am

looks like I am all alone now ;) All deep into the grid or gone. Bye all, thanks for the fun.

I'm here- I got up way too early

Looks like I'm the frst American- the rest are still asleep.

as I wish to be.

5:19 am

Clue please for pr 7/44

don't have it yet

5:22 am

No probs - found it

4 k's and no u's?

6:12 am

morning, all!

6:13 am

...morning

6:13 am

I won't be here long, have a lot of reading to do...

6:14 am

... do you ever find any of the babblets being used?

6:15 am

which, the ones in my profile!

6:15 am

?

6:15 am

(sorry, am typing in the dark)

6:16 am

... no ... the ones like "iwis" and "rotl" ... stumbled across a few in the old books ... but I never remember to write them down

6:17 am

ah - iwis is in the Britten ceremony of carols, but most of them I never see

6:18 am

and that's supposed to be in old English, so not surprising that it has unfamiliar words in it

6:57 am

Good day to all. Sue, did you see what I posted on FB yesterday. It's a cool story of machines. 2-3 minute video.

6:59 am

good morning scrabs! i saw it, it was very interesting. not sure I would call them "life" though...

6:59 am

Good Morning Babblers. Did anyone else watch the documentary "Miss Representation"?

6:59 am

GM Trif! I agree--they are machines.

6:59 am

No, Christa, what is it about?

7:00 am

Trif, how is Primo doing with college?

7:01 am

he is ridiculously happy, scrabbler. he is absiolutely in the right place. He is BUSY, but really satisfied and making some great friends

7:01 am

how is everyone at your end, dear one?

7:01 am

What a joy for everyone!

7:01 am

It was on how the media misrepresents women in power, beauty, & age. Caught it on the Oprah channel OWN. Guess it made it first showing in San Francison earlier this year.

7:01 am

PREACH

here's everybody. I got up too early so have 52 left, but there was no one to talk to.

7:02 am

Life is good and I must remind myself of the goodness despite the challenges.

7:02 am

that sounds great christa. I hpe it runs again

7:02 am

Hi Kaplan

hi.

7:02 am

btw, the o key on this laptop is missing (just a blank space where th e plastic o key was, please frgive any mistakes.

7:03 am

was glad to see a grid withut 1 2day

7:03 am

Good morning everyone. Do you have clues for the y, kaplan?

don't worry- no o's in grid.

7:04 am

scrabbler, are you still taking care f that little baby that was in the hosp?

7:04 am

Morning!

Unfortunately I have 50 left- but don't have the y's.

and I only have 1 k.

7:05 am

yu 4/7

7:05 am

oky doky. morning car :)

7:05 am

Hi deb!

d-uh

7:05 am

Good morning everyone!

7:05 am

hey there car!

7:06 am

Hi Car

7:06 am

Hey!

7:06 am

she's home

7:06 am

Hi Scrabs! Was thinking of you the other day! We have fifths disease...whee!

7:06 am

Trif, she was discharged from Duke in early June and has recovered wonderfully! She started walking in late August!

7:06 am

Such great news Scrabs!

7:07 am

Oh boy Trif. what do you need?

7:07 am

such an answer 2 prayer, scrab! amazing news!!!

7:07 am

nada. i called in.

7:07 am

The Fifth Disease is actually erythema infectiosum. Read about First, Second,...Sixth Disease. Archaic terms for now known diseases such as scarlet fever, measles, roseola....

7:08 am

I was wondering though...I have had a horrible bronchial virus...could that have caused Zack's?

7:08 am

Little One was near death on so many occasions. Kids can be so resilient when critically ill or injured.

7:09 am

Different viruses, Car.

7:09 am

Great! So we are just crawling with them then....

7:09 am

cann I just add a big "told yu car!"

7:09 am

Zack was invaded by Human Parvovirus B19.

7:09 am

No you may not.

7:09 am

b19! ha ah ah ah aha

7:10 am

Schools and day care centers are just teeming with microbes!

7:10 am

you sank my battleship!

7:10 am

do you recommend flu shots, scrabbler?

morning babblers!

7:10 am

One more question...how long do I let my tight bronchial tubes go before I have to be seen?

7:10 am

Yep, not B15.

7:10 am

Hi Owl

7:10 am

Hi TO!

7:11 am

morning TO

7:11 am

it's a boston thing, scrabbler - we have a store here called building 19 that sells fire damaged/insurance reclaimed/manufacture errors, etc.

how is everyone this morning?

7:12 am

it is called B19 fr short

7:12 am

If you are wheezing, having a wet cough then get seen because "walking pneumonia" (causes = Mycoplasma or a respiratory type of Chlamydia) is treated with an erythromycin-type antibiotic and sometimes an inhaled bronchodilator.

7:12 am

Hanging in TO. and you?

7:12 am

I sound like a leaking balloon when I lay down, but my cough is very dry. My nose on the other hand....

7:13 am

Ah, now I get it. So the perfect graffiti would be to paint the words "Human Parvovirus" in front of B19. It would make me laugh.

7:13 am

See a doc, Car.

7:14 am

LOL Scrabs! Great idea! Trif...I have some paint...

7:14 am

we had a BRILLIANT piece of graffitti in the next town over....I crack up every time I see it....we have a hamburger chain here called "Five Guys" and somene painted "one cup" under it....

7:14 am

Hey Kaplan...can you please share your K word?

7:15 am

Shouldn't that be at 12 Guys?

7:15 am

Hey ruru is in the grid today!

7:15 am

Hey, yeah.

i had that mycoplasma - not fun at all. drove me to doctor and i rarely treat that type of stuff

7:17 am

I used to get walking pneumonia once every winter, but, knock on wood, I have not had it for 2-3 winters. Maybe because I increase my intake of vitamin D3 to 5000/day in the winter now.

7:17 am

I will call at 9:00.

7:17 am

I am heading into week #2, so it is time.

7:18 am

Whew! I found a K!

7:18 am

How there be 172 words in this grid? I have struggled to find 40.

7:19 am

ku + last of Raphael, Michael, etc

7:19 am

I just discovered there is an EST ending. Let's see what I can do with that...

7:20 am

Oooh...another Babble friend is also in the grid! SP 6/21!

7:20 am

BR!!!!! Hello!

7:20 am

Hi BR. How are you doing?

hello br

7:21 am

hi mom! annd molly and bich

7:29 am

Good morning everyone

7:29 am

good morning Molly

7:31 am

I had the fluff at the groomer yesterday and found out that people bring their dogs into the groomer to get done just for Halloween. Some have their nails painted black

7:32 am

wow

7:33 am

Hi Mom, Molly & bichon

7:33 am

Hi Scrabs. What's up?

7:33 am

Hi Scrabbler

7:34 am

I have to be the game doc for the varsity football game tonight and it will be 54 and raining. Yuk. But I get paid.

7:35 am

Couldn't pay me enough

7:35 am

I covered a middle school game Wednesday and didn't wear enough layers.

7:37 am

Hope they pay you enough.

7:38 am

Oatmeal time. TTFN

7:38 am

bye Bichon

7:38 am

Yes, I am happy with what I get for 2.5-3 hrs of mostly watching the violence and aggression. I never learned to dislike the game until I watched it on the sideline. Listening to the hitting of helmets and pads and hearing grunting etc is brutal.

7:39 am

sounds terrible

7:40 am

And to hear how the coaches talk to the boys---teaching boys how to be macho, tough, aggressive, stoic...I would never allow my son, if I had one, to play the game. And the injuries---aaaahhh!

7:41 am

better scoot off here, Annie needs to go out. ((Hugs))) to all of you

7:41 am

I can only imagine, Scrabbler. Glad mine never wanted to play sports

bye mom

7:42 am

8:34 am

Very honest

8:35 am

8:35 am

It's the worst, JE

8:35 am

8:38 am

But it gets dirty just the same.

8:38 am

i use it once in a while as it has a shower in it

8:38 am

8:39 am

I probably should point out that I do have a shower stal. lol

8:39 am

No, just dusty.

8:39 am

8:39 am

11:50 am

head lice are the pits.

11:51 am

that's a lot of work. A few of the kids in my grand daughter's daycare had it. They used a lice consultant who only worked with non-toxic chemicals

11:52 am

well,i do not want tomess around with tea tree oil and vinegar and shower caps,i want it gone the first time.i do not wish it to spread

11:56 am

11:57 am

I think that schools have rules that kids cannot come back to school unless they pass a lice free test

11:58 am

I would think so. She can't go to daycare with a temperature, surely they would not let them come with lice.

11:58 am

in our schools the one with lice must bring aq note from doctor or health dept. that they have had treatment and are lice free

11:58 am

and day cares have the nasty habit of those cubbiesfor lunches and pegsfor hats, and all the hats are side,by side,by side

11:59 am

11:59 am

hello ruby

11:59 am

it's hard to see them unless they are adult lice. scratching the back of ones head and around the ears is a possible sign

11:59 am

I know at my grand kids daycare they always have Health Dept signs up alerting parents of communicable diseases found in classrooms

11:59 am

12:00 pm

Crossy, what do they look like? I have never (thank goodness) seen them.

12:02 pm

she got it another 4-5 times that school year. it was kindergarten and they took naps on the floor using towels for mats. no matter how much I washed her towel she still caught lice. it was in the carpet

12:02 pm

when I was a teacher, there was one epidemic in one school. If I remember correctly, they closed the school for a few days....

12:03 pm

we now have over 60 out for it ruby

12:04 pm

yuck cross

12:04 pm

they need to disinfect the school!

12:04 pm

does the solution kill them on the spot?

12:04 pm

12:04 pm

tc all and happy babbling...poink

12:05 pm

does anyone know if this works on tablets?

2:11 pm

Hi Shirlock

2:11 pm

Crossy uses a tablet to Babble

2:12 pm

that's good

2:12 pm

I'm getting a Fire.

2:12 pm

do you know which one?

2:12 pm

Crossy's, no

2:13 pm

just curious

2:13 pm

i'll probably wait until after xmas

2:13 pm

He has a more obscure one. I've forgotten which

2:13 pm

see if the v2 has the bigger screen or not, that's the rumor

2:13 pm

I'll let you know how the Fire is.

2:14 pm

k, thx

2:14 pm

: )

2:16 pm

would be nice if i didn't have to fire up the laptop every night

2:18 pm

laptop is good for Babble, though

2:19 pm

shir, if you use on a tablet, look for windows 8 because it lets you split the keyboard or get one that is blue tooth so you can use an external keyboard. if not, then the onscreen keyboard blocks most of the grid's tile stats

2:19 pm

and to the pb for shir and hego

2:19 pm

I love my netbook

2:20 pm

Hi Sue. lol

2:20 pm

hi all.

2:21 pm

I had a tablet, but it was annoying to play babble on

2:22 pm

dang with the PB

2:22 pm

i guess we'll have to see with the Fire

2:22 pm

i know some would be easier than others, i did ask Dr God if he was planning apps or similar for Babble

2:22 pm

Go Shirl!

2:23 pm

and as of a year ago, he said no

2:23 pm

win 8 is a dog, but they did make an onscreen thumb keyboard that is wonderful for tablets

2:23 pm

Done now.

regel

4:08 pm

Hi; don't know how I got in chog; it wasn't a WORD anyway. (sorry)

4:12 pm

I don't know Nef, I can use it in a sentence. Nef didn't like her spikes, so she had to regel her hair. : )

4:13 pm

LOL! Molly, that's exactly how I was using it too!

4:14 pm

(I babysat my sort of "adopted" grandkids this AM and my hair needs to be re gelled

4:16 pm

they are our old neighbors' kids; she's from Iran (he is too but had been here 18 years) and went through post-partum depression after having her first child; both his and her parents are dead; so I adopted them at that point. the kids are now 2 and 4 years old and do call me Gramma)

4:18 pm

she's been here 5 years now (after going through 3 years of trying to come to the US to be with him) and she's now passed her Citizenship test and is a US citizen now! :-)

4:21 pm

Nice ending Nef - and a lovely way to get some more grandkids

4:23 pm

yeah, Son and DIL will never have another kid and my dtr says she's never going to have kids as she feels our genes aren't any good. ;-/

4:24 pm

Any wee one is lucky to have a Gramma Nef.

4:24 pm

sad...but they are probably right - too many people in this world anyway

4:26 pm

I truely love kids; I'd wanted to have 5 or 6 myself; but due to a medical condition I was told I'd never have any. I fooled them though; I had 2 myself. (DH was an only child and couldn't wrap his head around having any more; either adopted or naturally)

4:28 pm

We've had a couple of foster teens when our kids were younger; the grandparent thing is really cool though

4:29 pm

Yes - don't believe it will happen for me though.

4:30 pm

so "adopt" some if at all possible

4:32 pm

that is worth thinking about ... must go, see you later

5:20 pm

I am NOT a biologist.

5:21 pm

5:35 pm

Well, they've already passed their defense, so presumably they are correct, and original research in the field. But we are supposed to pick the best one out of seven from totally different fields - English, history, Adult Education, biology, psychology, political science, and chemistry.

6:28 pm

Ivesy, did you get the other re6?

6:34 pm

I just got it, Molly

6:38 pm

ok, finished the biology dissertation - skimmed through it pretty fast as I don't understand it anyway

6:38 pm

next one looks interesting, though (political science): Collaboration And Connectivity: Women’s Impact On The Congressional Social Network

6:38 pm

Now that one sounds interesting to me!

6:39 pm

Yes, I'm looking forward to reading it!

6:40 pm

but first I have to make some copies; on top of everything else our giant science fair for kids is tomorrow, and I'm responsible for the physics department's booth

6:40 pm

uusue2. i am coming in in the middle of the conversation, but why must you read such diverse things, if you don't mind me asking.

6:40 pm

hi all...

6:40 pm

I am on a university committee that is supposed to pick the best PhD dissertation and the best MS thesis submitted last year, university-wide

6:41 pm

each department can nominate one (although not a lot do, fortunately), so I am trying to read all the ones that have been nominated.

6:41 pm

ahhhhh. thanks

6:42 pm

hi carlee and hi joey. How are you guys doing tonight??

6:42 pm

seven dissertations and four theses. by Monday. They are about 200 pages EACH.

6:42 pm

hehehe...and I am already thinking about my phil of religion essay :P...

6:42 pm

So I am going kind of nuts here.

6:42 pm

and hi, carlee!

6:42 pm

and joey and nef!

6:42 pm

I'll bet

6:42 pm

well..i'd offer to rad for u sue...but i am just inhalin gmy dinner..then off to do my next physics test online

6:43 pm

read*

6:43 pm

good luck with it, carlee!!

6:43 pm

okay, what's the difference between a dissertation and a theses? Is one more complex than the other?

6:43 pm

bbl!!

6:44 pm

oh i will be fine sue :)

6:47 pm

The thesis is defended in a dissertaion, nef.

6:47 pm

I think that is the difference.

6:49 pm

that's what I thought too, Bzzn; but she has to read both for this committee

6:53 pm

thesis is what you write to get a masters degree, dissertation is what you write to get a doctorate

6:53 pm

we have one prize in each category

6:55 pm

thanks for the explanation, sue! I never knew that (and never got either a masters or a doctorate either! :-)

6:55 pm

Thanks for the clarification, sue.

6:56 pm

all these people have already defended their thesis or dissertation (successfully), so we don't have to verify that they meet the standards, we just have to pick the best one

6:56 pm

which is a little like having a strawberry, a steak, a painting, and a race car, and having to pick the best one!

6:57 pm

so you know that they aren't just a bunch of BS then

6:57 pm

exactly.

6:57 pm

well, that helps a bit

6:58 pm

yes, they are all excellent in their fields, it's just really hard to compare

6:58 pm

does it all boil down to style and technique then?

6:59 pm

no, they're too different for that

6:59 pm

there really aren't any solid guidelines

6:59 pm

Clue for the first re6/18?

6:59 pm

anyway I must go home, see you all later!!

6:59 pm

(I'll take the painting in your example, sue; it lasts longer! ;-)

7:00 pm

to redo a mosaic

7:00 pm

bye, sue

7:00 pm

ty, nef

7:01 pm

That re6 took me a loooong time to find

7:03 pm

some days I hate re words; it took me a while to find it too

7:03 pm

It's the weird way it's laid out in the grid, for me

I forgot about that bottom E

Hi all

nbt

8:10 pm

back, hi Jellen. I'm trying to finish this ucky grid asap

8:12 pm

Nef has to get ready for a hot date. : P

8:12 pm

??? what do you mean, Molly??

8:13 pm

Joking Nef. : )

8:14 pm

I just am tired of this grid (and have put off doing some paper work til I'm done with it. We're going through all of the papers of Aunty's; finding some wonderful; keepers and lots of not so necessary stuff

8:17 pm

I bet aunty has some great stories to tell

8:17 pm

hi everyone

8:19 pm

She was a very quiet person, lbd. Now her oldest sister was quite the story teller; but this Aunty was the youngest of 5 girls and her Dad died in a farm accident shortly before she was born. She had a tough life

8:19 pm

Hey LBD

8:19 pm

re

8:20 pm

Hi Molly! how sad for her, Nef.

8:21 pm

evening everyone back for a few more:)

8:21 pm

We loved her; and we had a lot of fun with her too.

8:21 pm

hi lbd and crossy

8:22 pm

I'm sorry Nef, when did she pass?

8:22 pm

hi crossy

8:23 pm

Sept. 29th. She was 86. She was the one who broke both wrists and lived with us for 4 months back in 2009 and was helping me play back then

8:25 pm

i am sorry to hear of the passing of your aunt nef:(

8:25 pm

the funeral was Oct. 5th; but the burial was just last Saturday up in Northern MN and we went up for it. I'm starting to recover now

8:25 pm

ah nef, sorry to hear, but lucky for you to have had each other

8:26 pm

she never married and was one of the Aunts that helped raise my DH. Her 92 yr old sister is the last one; DH has only 4 cousins on that side too.

8:29 pm

I think it was very sweet of you to take care of her the way you did Nef.

8:29 pm

she'd been living with us since June when there was a fire in her condo building; she was diagnosed with heart failure back in March and her heart just gave out (in spite of my nursing care). It was a sad but good death (if that makes any sense)

8:30 pm

I had all of this in my profile; but erased it the other day because it's time to move on.

8:32 pm

It's also time for you to have some down time Nef.

8:33 pm

yes nef that makes a lot of sense. and now you do need to take care of yourself just a bit, cause you deserve a break.

8:33 pm

Evenin' Dorens.

8:34 pm

yeah. But now DH needs some surgeries; so I played (babysat) both last night (for my grandson) and today (for my "adopted" grandkids); so I can re charge my internal batteries before we start on those!

8:34 pm

hi molly

8:35 pm

thanks for caring; chog is full of nice people.

8:35 pm

and nice people like you do bring out the best in the rest of us

8:36 pm

<blush!> Thanks, Dorens!

8:37 pm

hi babblers

8:37 pm

death in the family is hard.we are blessed that in the last 20 years or so we have only lost 2 my grammy full of years and 100 years old just recently and my mother in 1991.i had last seen her in 1972 and only one could go over seas for the funeral and i could not go.my memories of mum are a scent in mymind, the smell of hairspray, the way she looked in the morning light in the litchen with her jackie kennedy do and the scarf in her hair, breakfast in the old english style,4 o,clock tea, teaching me tricks with a large button and some thread from a sewing box, teaching me to knit, the caring of her hand applying vickson my chest to help a winter cold,a box of old kodak pictures.beautiful meories..sometimes they are amost enough..cough..bbl..poink

8:37 pm

helo shd

8:38 pm

Nef, you are a nurse, so I'm sure you have made this same suggestion. The care taker needs to be taken care of too.

8:38 pm

want to hug you,c rossyhi dorens

8:38 pm

(seems to me we had this conversation a month or two ago, you do remember nef)

8:40 pm

<hanging my head; guilty as charged> I'm trying to take time off. I'm learning what it is to be retired in short periods of time...

8:40 pm

8:40 pm

hi shdy

8:40 pm

and with all that's going on... it's understandable that you want/need to take care of others. but yourself too nef, or you are less effective for them.

8:40 pm

Hello Babblers.

8:41 pm

hey all, can i share a sdness for a sec?

8:43 pm

ty got it

8:44 pm

i was talking earlier in the week about starting to plan for my next adoption (Mastiff), but wasn't planning too soon, my old man is 14 but has been healthy other than arthritis

8:45 pm

A 14 yr old mastiff? Wow!! That's old!

8:46 pm

no nef, my old man is a newfie mix, only about 100 pounds

8:46 pm

still crazy old, he should have lived 9-10 years

8:47 pm

he's the brown one in my pic, but that is from about 7 years ago

8:47 pm

Oh; sorry for jumping to conclusions (And I did mean what I'd said; I don't like people focusing on me)

8:48 pm

he had a stroke yesterday, around 2pm, i saw it happen

8:48 pm

oh, sorry shdy. how terrible

8:48 pm

oh, no!

8:48 pm

he spent the night with the doc, took lots of meds, came home today

8:49 pm

how's he doing?

8:49 pm

he is better than yesterday, but lots of loss of mobility on left side

8:49 pm

still improving, even wants to run with younger dogs in our pack, but he falls over

8:50 pm

what's his prognosis? (Do they do PT on dogs?

8:50 pm

he ate well and did the unmentionables with little assistace

8:51 pm

vet said there is no way to know but wait, his initial recovery is a good sign but could be thewhole recovery

8:51 pm

my biggest fear is the next stroke

8:51 pm

that's an encouraging thing then, I would think

8:52 pm

shdy, do they know if it was a blood clot or a bleed in the brain?

8:52 pm

other biggest fear is that he will fall in the pool, I'll be sleeping on the floor with him tonight

8:53 pm

Doc supposed a bleed, but we didn

8:53 pm

t do anything invasive, just meds

8:54 pm

okay. I'll be sending healing thoughts and prayers his way; I'm a strong believer in them

8:54 pm

i know is ok, because he hates cameras, and hubby tried to videotape his new walk, i warned him not to, bear ran inside, fell twice, and hubby is a jerk for the night

8:56 pm

LOL! Smart dog! (hubby belongs in the doghouse tonight too)

8:56 pm

thanks nef, and i would appreciate any prayers you can solicit!

8:58 pm

bearly-ware and I are going to retire for the night, lets hope we wake up together tomorrow. thanks again, nef

8:58 pm

(((shdy and bear)))

9:04 pm

g'night shdy

9:04 pm

clue for the last sp6 please

9:05 pm

nm found it

9:06 pm

you are like peri that way, wht! She (and you) asks for clues and finds the words before we can clue!

9:08 pm

every once and a while the fog lifts and I can see clearly for a moment.

9:08 pm

There are a bunch of people who do that. Ergo, The Babble 2 Minute Rule

9:08 pm

Hello everyone!

9:09 pm

Molly, what is the 2 minute rule?

9:09 pm

Clue for the first re6?

9:09 pm

Molly, I like that!

9:09 pm

Wait 2 minutes before cluing

9:09 pm

to re do your bathroom floor or walls, rolo

9:09 pm

Does that mean I have to wait 2 minutes now? =)

9:09 pm

TY!

9:10 pm

Sometimes if you wait 2 minutes, the question would be out of the chog by the time you clued.

9:11 pm

you're right on that, wht. and Rolo, it's just certain people who are so fast at finding what they are looking for

9:12 pm

Can't win. Clue too fast, someone says "Never mind, got it." Say hi too slow, someone gets offended and leaves.

9:13 pm

you're right Molly.

9:13 pm

I am both grateful and not offended!

9:14 pm

:-)

9:14 pm

Hello everyone, do any of you lovely Babblers have any nifty tips for making non-lumpy mashed potato?

9:14 pm

Wow, I just looked at the list to find my next word and I noticed fireworks.

9:14 pm

hi everyone

9:15 pm

Use a mixer, Roxbi.

9:15 pm

YAY,wht!!!! WTG!!!

9:15 pm

Mash the potatoes before you add anything. Butter, milk, salt, anything. That is the old Grandma way of doing it.

9:15 pm

eu6 anyone?

9:15 pm

Only use a mixer if you want whipped potatoes.

9:16 pm

Roxbi - Hello. Buy good potatoes like Maris Piper and don't use any that are frost damaged.

9:16 pm

And use a little of the liquid that you boiled the potaoes in too

9:16 pm

It looks like a latin plural for people who live in the Old World, pigeon

9:17 pm

I never made mashed potato before, and started mashing before they were boiled properly... :( I can't really invest in a mixer right now as I am a poor student :P thanks for the tips, I guess I know for next time now!

9:17 pm

eu + the actor (((Torn + not you but *

9:18 pm

ty

9:18 pm

sorry, not paying attention to what I type I guess

9:18 pm

Boil the potatoes until they are fork tender. Drain them and then mash really well. Then add your butter and add the milk a bit at a time. It's an acquired skill Rox.

9:18 pm

roxbi - you are from Cornwall but you never made mashed potato before. That's incredible. Please don't tell me you ate Smash all your life?

9:19 pm

Or wash the potatoes well, leave the skins on, and consider the skins and the lumps as character.

9:20 pm

Put your cut up potatoes into cold water, bring to the boil and simmer for about 20 mins. Test with a fork after 15 mins.

9:20 pm

Nooo! I'm just not over keen on potatoes, so it's not a food I tend to eat unless I'm given it

9:20 pm

wht - that's the lazy modern version known as 'crushed potatoes. It's nothing like proper mash.

9:20 pm

My ex-housemates ate Smash all the time... I wouldn't trust it!

9:21 pm

Hmm, "character". That was the explanation I got from my husband when he painted over improperly sanded wood and there were bumps on it. "It gives it character".

9:21 pm

Roxbi - how can anyone from a potato growing county say that potato is not a food? I'm gob-smacked.

9:21 pm

what is smash?

9:21 pm

hi nef?

9:23 pm

Jacula - I just don't particularly like starchy foods... Usually unless my mum cooks for me :D

9:23 pm

lbd - Smash is a dried potato mix that looks and tastes like wallpaper paste when reconstituted with boiling water.

9:23 pm

I like the excuse of "giving something character" though

9:23 pm

It is a multi-purpose explanation.

9:24 pm

figures....i must be invisible

9:24 pm

Roxbi - I see you're only 20. You'll get the hang of cooking eventually.

9:24 pm

we are talking potatoes

9:24 pm

hi jen

9:24 pm

Jen - Hello.

9:24 pm

oh, so smash is instant potatoes. gotcha

9:24 pm

hi Jen (phone call)

9:24 pm

I remember years ago, maybe for our 10'th anniversary, we went to the Ritz in Boston for dinner. It was delicious but the thing I remember most was the mashed potatoes because they were so light and fluffy.

9:25 pm

Jacula- I make some pretty good homemade hash browns! I just didn't have an onion handy tonight

9:25 pm

using a hand mixer to whip the potatoes makes them fluffy

9:25 pm

The thing was, I knew how to make mashed potatoes and I had no clue how they did that.

9:25 pm

lbd - instant potato - you really don't want to try it. I promise you!

9:26 pm

Instant mashed potatoes are heinous.

9:26 pm

i'll take your word for it, jac

9:26 pm

There wasn't anything else that I had that I had a clue how to make./

9:26 pm

Roxbi - I hate hash browns. Sorry!

9:27 pm

lived off potatoes whilst in college.

9:27 pm

What about potato rosti? I'mnot even sure of the difference there.

9:27 pm

Potato doesn't need breadcrumbs around it, it just needs a bit of butter and salt, and sometimes some garlic or mustard seeds in the mash.

9:28 pm

Rosti is okay, no breadcrumb coating involved there.

9:28 pm

Well it's rosti that I make then. :)

9:28 pm

I won't get into colcannon. Everyone will get all confused.

9:28 pm

If you;re making rosti, be sure to squeeze all of the water out of your potato before proceeding with cooking it.

9:29 pm

Colcannon is lovely, Molly.

9:29 pm

I do squeeze the water out, that's how they turn out so nice ;D never heard of colcannon though... to Google"

9:30 pm

You can mash anything you like into real potatoes - cheese and onion is brilliant - just don't ue 'Smash'. LOL

9:31 pm

colcannon is potato, cabbage, onion, bacon if you like, salt and pepper etc.

9:32 pm

Roxbi - you need to get the student's cookbook, methinks.

9:35 pm

Look it up on Amazon.

9:36 pm

pt6?

9:36 pm

I hosted a big Thanksgiving dinner one year where everyone brought something. My friend said she would do the mashed potatoes. I almost fainted at my own Thanksgiving table when I tasted them and realized they were instant.

9:36 pm

Failing that, do what my kids do - ask your Mum or plunder her handwritten recipe book for your favourites.

9:37 pm

pt + **** Brokovitch

9:37 pm

thanks much

9:38 pm

pigeonman - pt6 = p + an anagram of a tr5 word for 3some.

9:38 pm

Molly - LOL! I feel for you!

9:39 pm

But, if people get used to freeze dried stuff and microwaved stuff (which also destroys the flavour even if you only warm up milk), what hope is there for real food?

9:40 pm

Seriously, how hard is it to make decent mashed potatoes when that is all you have to cook on Thanksgiving?

9:40 pm

Molly - maybe she didn't know any better?

9:41 pm

One of the students in my flat has a student cookbook - I think I'll just borrow that :D I think even the mash that I just made was better than instant!

9:41 pm

Not to mention frozen vegetables, that taste like mush.

9:41 pm

Yuck

9:42 pm

Roxbi - I'm sure it was. Get yourself a steamer for your vegs and buy them fresh and cut and slice them yousrself just before you cook them.

9:42 pm

sp7

9:43 pm

If you can't find the student cookbook on line, I'm a Mum and I will help you learn how to cook.

9:43 pm

Catalog name Pigeon

9:44 pm

wow. never would have seen that

9:44 pm

Pigeon - sp7 = pig iron used in making steel. Rhymes with seagull.

9:44 pm

Sort of.

9:45 pm

I will get a copy of the student cookbook, I'll check the charity shops first.

9:46 pm

Hey, Jen; are you still here? Sorry, I was on the phone with DH's 92 yr old Aunty

9:46 pm

Roxbi - which Uni are you at?

9:46 pm

hi nef

9:47 pm

Bangor, in North Wales

9:47 pm

Did you want something, Jen?

9:47 pm

no, just wanted to say hi

9:49 pm

okay. I hope you are doing okay; I'm starting to slow down a bit now

9:50 pm

i am ok, just waiting for this baby story to break wide open

9:50 pm

Pigeon, sp7, the mail order catalog

9:51 pm

Pigeon, did you get all that? : )

9:51 pm

uh-oh What baby story (I'm a bit out of the loop right now

9:52 pm

Jen, the baby story is horrible and it's going to have a sad ending.

9:52 pm

Baby Lisa was kidnapped supposedly here in Missouri

9:52 pm

yes, molly, have you heard the latest?

9:52 pm

Well good night all. Happy Babbling.

9:53 pm

bye wht

9:53 pm

Cadaver dogs picked up some scent on the carpet in the parents' bedroom, the result came back as human blood

9:54 pm

and some of the ground in the backyard looked like it had been dugged into

9:54 pm

Is this from last week, Jen?

9:55 pm

my mom and i agree.....we think the mom took the baby to bed with her and accidently rolled over on her thus smothering her and she buried the baby in the backyard unless the father was involved and he buried the baby

9:55 pm

yes , nef

9:56 pm

she was drunk that night

9:56 pm

ug8?

9:56 pm

oh, yes! I remeber that! Both DH and I thought it sounded odd

9:57 pm

(((NEF))) *just getting caught up on chog*

9:58 pm

weird word

9:59 pm

lots of those in this grid!--weird words

9:59 pm

10:00 pm

10:00 pm

compound word, pigeon

10:01 pm

sp8 expectorate + ignite

10:01 pm

(I don't have the sp 8 but have been working on it

10:01 pm

DANG! Another compound word (and I have the words that make that one too)

10:02 pm

10:03 pm

oh yeah and the clothes that the mother said the baby was wearing was found in the home

10:04 pm

There is no truth to this "missing baby" story. That is becoming more clear by the day.

10:04 pm

sp8 is also a WWII british airplane

10:04 pm

10:05 pm

10:19 pm

It's never too late to research and learn!

10:28 pm

I totally agree with you on that, Roxbi

10:37 pm

And the internet is a great tool to research and learn with. We are fortunate in that respect. Researching family history was much harder before all the resources the internet gives us.
