Here are the instructions I use for excel 2007: Instructions from ARB for putting babble grid results into profile: • Copy word list into an Excel spreadsheet (the word, the number of letters and the points go into 5 columns (because of ? for dictionary). • Then insert a column after the word. • Then write a formula in the first line after the word, example - " =left($B1,2)" (the $ makes the formula absolute) • Then copy the formula all the way down (put cursor in bottom right of the top cell with the formula and drag down to end of word list). • Voila you have 3 columns with first 2 letters, length, points

Hello, lynxx. It takes a while, doesn't it? We've got lighter mornings now but it gets dark earlier. It makes you feel like hibernating!
Do your farmers grumble about daylight savings too?
Not really, but there are rumours that the government is considering a change whereby in the wintertime the dawn would be an hour later. It means that for people living in the north it wouldn't be light until 9.00 am. They tried it years ago when I was at primary school and it was horrible!
The farmers over find that the weather gives them plenty to grumble about.

It's great in the summer time because we have daylight until 10.30 pm but we suffer for it in the wintertime when it's dark by 4.30 pm. I love to see the days lengthening in the spring.

She's showing her age a bit! She's 11 now and isn't as agile as she used to be. She's in good spirits, though, and still glares at cats who dare to trespass.
There's no point trying to bring her on long walks any more. She's so slow and keep staging sit-down strikes. We've got her on arthritis medication to see if that helps. Of course, she's maybe just turned lazy!
plus it IS getting a bit colder now
The infuriating thing about the walks is that as soon as you turn for home, she immediately pe5/20 and gets a positive spring in her step.
everytime I take my sook for a middling fast walk now he becomes lame and limps around on 3 legs for the next day or so (different feet each time mind you). Yes - have been to vet previously but he couldn't find anything wrong. I think he is putting it on???
I think they are in a conspiracy.

I met a little Cavalier in the bank yesterday. He/she was an assistance dog for a lady in a wheelchair. Such a friendly little dog, it submitted to having its ears scratched very eagerly.
that is marvellous, a cavalier as assistance dog. They are so willing to learn and so friendly, I guess they are just right for the job.
I wish I had had the chance to speak to the lady but once she had finished her business at the counter, she seemed to be eager to get away. I'd have loved to have found out what the little dog could do for her.
oh yes. Would have been interesting.
I'll keep an eye out for her in the town and maybe get the chance to speak to her again.

Lots of clients traveling so we have a houseful of puppy guests. My two are Luther (12 yo 3-legged Lab), Kearney (12 year old Golden girl newly adopted), then the guests are a French bulldog, two miniature bull terriers, a Briard, a Lab/Beagle mix, and a chocolate Lab. Yes, the Rottie has always been my icon (soul dog Gryphon 1988-2001).

My best friend had a rotti sadly he was put down at 4 years old from collapsed hips and hocks. He was so badly bred this was one of his many problems. He was a rescue.

My rottigrrl Diva was the same way. I got her at 18 months and she was a mess for hips and knees. But she loved her life, painful as it was at times, and did a lot of good among frail elderly and Alz patients who understood the gentle disabled dog. Let her go at age 6.

in tyhe early 70,s my dad was obsessed with doing a turkey so it looked just like the ones you see on the tv shows,all done to a purfect turn and uniformly golden brown..so he bagan,he basted it ever 15 minutes,he turned the pan to different angles in the oven for even heat,he talked to it,he pleaded with it.then it was time.he opened the oven and there it was,golden,plump,beautiful... he went to pull the rack out to grab the roasting pan with the oven mitss..then it happened...the back end of the rack slid out of the slots in the oven,the entire shelf tilted suddenly forward dumping the entire birt and all those hot drippings onto the floor!the worst thing was it slid across the floor of the kitchen and right into the small utility closet where in that day we kept the cat litter box,and finished its trip nestled in the loving embrace of used cat little and turdies..my dad cried for a day and the cats ate like kigs for two weeks....so i do hams now

We usually made a 15 lb turkey and everyone went home with leftovers of everything. I'd use the bones and our leftoverturkey for some wonderful soup (never had enough for numerous meals later)

My girlfriends friend told her the way to a perrfect turkey was to roast it in a paper bag, so she seasoned, oiled, stuffed and then inserted the turkey into a large grocery bag ( this was back in the days when paper bags were the norm). As you have probably anticipated, about 2 hours in, the bird caught fire, her kids were screaming and she yas yelling " open the window , open the window!!" her son opened the dining room window, she used the sink sprayer to douse the flames, and the turkey sailed out of the dining room window. The family trooped down, hosed off the charred remains and brought the turkey back upstairs and finished the roasting sans paper bag, All her company raved about the smoked turkeey and where did she get it . My oven died this week ( my dryer died 3 weeks ago, and the hot water heater last month and the fridge 3 months ago) thankfully it was this week andnot the night before thanksgiving

OOOH! We've done that one, crossy! The neck and gizzard were stuffed so far in that we couldn't see them! (But they were in a papery-type of bag; so when we found them we just removed that and went on from there. It wasn't a "complete" bird)

I am ok, vermont, recording exam grades for my students (so I guess I am doing better than they are!)
I must say I do not understand people who stop showing up to class (especially for exams). Wouldn't it be better to get at least some points, rather than no points at all?

that's what I wonder about, india - someone is paying the tuition for these kids (well, they're adults, really) and is going to have to pay it again if they have to retake the class

I played Gardens of Time for a while but don't any more
Letterblox is another word game.You have a certain amount of time to find words with letter tiles.It's fun.

This game would not be the same without the chat log
but there are certainly people who just play and never, or hardly ever, chat
i love the chog... played about a month before i joined it, but was forced into the chog when lickety went down once years ago and i needed clues
In fact, I probably would not even play this game if it had no chat log. WordTwist also has a chog, but it is not like this one and I do not participate in that one.
I find the people here to be very special <3
I dove into the chat log as soon as I started playing.I am usually a shy people and don't talk to strangers.It is much easier to do though when you are on a laptop

I have to buy new ink too. Ink is SO expensive. Each time I print something I receive a message telline me that ink is low.One of these days,whatever I need to print will not print out and th 4/5 I will be screwed.

We have refil shops not sure of the cost we also have no name brand ink. Though I believe and feel that with that option you are better to use the brand cartridge, then no name brand and so on
Used to be able to bring old ink cartridges to Staples and get discount on next ink cartridge, not anymore.
