MLFAN17, I found the I after i got a T, fwiw.

mi6/21 x 3
you were asking if you should know the i word.
sorry if i'm confusing.
AL 8/9
just got the al 8/9 muself :)
yes melon still havent found it though thank you for telling me that info though
cos, that's my problem with the lower A -- all go to the upper one
NBS, not quite NBT [shrug]
wd melon
i found as6 for that one A
jilli, chem used in apple orchards
and I just found a word for the lower A
me either melon still missing 2
my 7 is an adjective I guessed at 6 + 1 = 7
N and Lowest T for me.
now I just need the I for nbt
d'OH. the N just bit me.
melon i cant fidn that 4th column T either
or the 3nd column i
nbs.. still need lower T
at 5-7 combo too
i mean 2nd column i
the i is is5, think cos found it
the i sounds like a sneeze.
mlf -- that T is not quite a sauce for fish
thanks jill!
nbt/nbs
nope not exactly jill lo
lol
aha! tx jikli! thought that was an ethnicity, therefore a proper noun.
nbt -- of course, melon and thanks
nbt with a little help from my friends.
thanks jill
still need the 2nd column i anyone?
is 5, take the T off the kleenex
what do you blow ur nose in?
take off first letter of that
thanks cos that got me two words
that's the one that sounds like a sneeze and if it were, would need the same word starting with a T
nbt and nbs
wtg mlf
cos is much more succinct
wtg
lol jilli.

hi ruru
how was bridge jilli?
Hi back
hi jan
Hi jilli. How goes the convolescence?
didn't have bridge today -- went to an amazing birthday party for an amazing 80-yr-old friend
that's sounds like what the patient needed
92 guests at a local hotel -- all arranged by her d-i-l in Hong Kong, who was there.
Wow, sounds like quite a do!
sounds like fun jilli
this 80-yr-old is a constant world traveller, hiker, kayaker, mother of four great adults -- incredible -- and such a sense of humour
and she has macular degeneration -- can't see much but uses her computer, etc etc -- no holding her back!
amazing indeed
yeah.. well.. OUR friend Jilli.. can play bridge, babble with the best of em... and get NBT and BNBS on cocktails
I can't believe there are really 12 7's in this grid!
I don't have anything bigger than a 6
not a patch on the birthday girl -- she has done the Camino in Spain four times -- walking over the mountains and all across the country -- just in recent years. I wish you could have seen the birthday cake, secially made in Vancouver and brought over this morning. It showed a mountain, with a model of her sitting on tip with a gin and tonic in her hand, surrounded by signposts of all the countries she's been to, plus other little models of her hiking up the mountain and whitewater kayaking.
wow jilli, what a gal
Correction to earlier post: I can't believe there are 3 8's 12 7's and 234 words all told in this grid!
I know what you mean, jan, lol!
I still only have 2 x7, 1 x 8, 1 x 9
I only have 1 7
and the 8 and 9 are thanks to jilli's
That's why I have flosey. I wonder if they're the same.
just got the ta7, thanks to morewords.
did you elongate the ti6?
I have the al set that jilli clued, a ta/7 and a sa/7
Oh, that ti/7 is barely a legitimate word!! Thanks flosey.
yes, really a bit silly
really.. it's a clean x off the grid
OK so 3 7's down, and 9 to go. I'm afraid I may have a defective grid, though. It clearly doesn't have so many 7's.
wtg ru
oh my -- thks for that silly ti7, flosey
no one got my joke :(
yw jilli
oh, thought you were bragging about getting all the letters creating and X on the grid
Oh, sorry ruru! Smiling doesn't come across online unless we type it
oh ruru, for shame
And neither does groaning.
:d
Ok...it's getting la/6 and and I'm just not seeing those long ones tonight. So off to bed...
I think :d is rude
goodnight jan
it was supposed to be :D
gnight jan -- and I'm off soon too -- have to find that sa7

it is a classic. i truly have not read it in maturity, but remember liking it in my youth.
Looks like it could be good. I'll have to find it. Thanks.
Morning all. Interesting how Orwell used animals, simple creatures, to illustrate how societies become corrupted when personal benefit outweighs community benefit.

bye bye Molly
Morning...is there a list out there?
bye bye (((Lilliann))
I put a list in my profile
Thanks MollyL
good morning everyone:)
Nice jewelry Carlee. I have a ring with all my kids names engraved on it.
nice molls... :)
crossy was telling me about a very cool artist up by him
good morning all :)
yes,he take voice recor5ding and inprints then on a ring and you can make a voice pattern from it at any time, scan it and hear our beloved voice
hi cyber
your
hi crossy and nan
howdy lillian
i think that is so cool...maybe someday i will have a "beloved" to do that with ;) or maybe get my kids to call out "mom" with that annoying nagging tone hahaha
lol
I love those new recordable story books. They are especially nice for kids with parents away, serving in the military.
oh..what would be sooo cool..is that infant cry that goes away after a couple months and you dont even realise its gone until you hear a newborn cry...
indeed
or that baby laugh they do,and they laugh so much they sigh at the end of it
yeap...that too...
or "mama" when they first speak
now something like that would be cool to etch on a ring
( carlee's heart is breaking with the passage of time )
and you can scan it and hear it any time in the future
i know... :(
they also do fingerprint impressions on the rings
anyway...i am excited about the pieces...i rarely treat myself..and i stumbled on this artist through pinterest... and saw one piece and fell in love...saw that ratings from people were all super positive... and thought...yeap..i need a mid january pick me up after the crap at christmas and the past week
Oh, I hate to ask, but what happened this week?
well,it is a good treat for all that hard work
just kid crap...well..not really... no more kid crap than am used to but my daughter said something that seriously twigged something in my unconscious..and an hour later i was having a complete breakdown and i had 2 appointments with the college chaplain and another sceduled for a week tues...
i am "ok" now. it was a moment of I do not care who sees me crying in the halls i need to speak to someone NOW..not in 5 mins..not in 10 mins not in an hour but NOW
Did you tell your daughter how deeply what she said affected you? Because if she doesn't, she should. It is the only way people learn to think before they speak.
*If she doesn't know
she now is currently not speaking to me... she will when she needs a ride somewhere...and I will...but she is lashin gout cus she has reached the angry part of her grieving process to the "collapse" of our family
we will deal... all in good time... she needs time... I do too so i dont get all super emotional and say something i will regret out of hurt myself
no expert today, I see
Well that's fine and she can grieve all she wants. But you should not be her whipping post. I don't understand why this all gets taken out on you.
we all have to grieve our own way molls..and this is her way...being the adult...i have to accept that...and be the parent and give her the space she needs atm to process
she and i had a great relationship and it will be great again... right now we are going through some serious speed bumps but that too shall pass
how old is she carlee?
Giving her space is fine, we all need our space. Letting her cast ugly aspersions on you is another thing entirely. And she is not a child anymore. She is a young woman.
almost 16 cyber that stage of mum/ daughter hell
And I will shut up now.
she didnt molls....just her choice of wording tripped something else entirely inside me.. :) this meltdown was me healing not her lashing
lol - that is true for sure - but old enough to learn to exercise a little self-control over her frustrations maybe?
Sorry Carlee, you are the one who used the term "lashing out".
well she was lashing too..but nothing abnormal
lashing in general... she is hurting...
It must be doubly tough, carlee. I remember thinking I could solve conflicts with my daughter with a heart to heart talk!!! --- I'm sure you know how far that went when she was in one of her rebellious "you're so stupid" moods
yeap...i will corner her in a restaurant somewhere...and chat...we have a great all you can eat japanese place here...
anyway...nuff of that.... I am excited about my gift to me :)
yes,time for happy thoughts now
my puppy is a papa :S there some more news... confirmed with the birth...other papa could have been a boxer but one looks just like our puppy when he was born
makes me a grannie of sorts i suppose
your fur babies lol
i posted a pic..they were born yesterday am 5 of them.
off to watch Sunday Morning -- bbl
bye bye cyber
I can't believe ofal is not a word!!

there is a po6
i have the po6
hi mr bob,welki and rolin
sounds a bit like a ship's window
morning bob
I have the po6 too, I was asking Lilliann if that was the p6 she was looking for.
pa6/24 - pa plus the title given to unmarried women, backwards
ok..well..i need to go be productive in SOME manner today... like writing the essay that is due tomorrow or reading charlotte's web...or both...have a great day all
that's the one. tyvm haz
You're welcome. Congratulations!
helllo haz!
ty
Hello, TO!
And everyone else, of course.
howdy haz
yes. i said hello a while back but strayed
*waves from the tundra*
am off to curl up under my duvet!bye all and tc
and it is time to stray again.
bye Lill and Hiya Haz!
It's the sort of grid to drive you astray in the head.
Hello Flask, crossy, welki.
i just wanted to greet you. it's been a while.
it look better than it really is!!
Thanks, TO. Doing anything interesting this weekend?
i am debating attending the auto show. i am in the market.
auto shows are always fun
ohhhh, i love shopping for cars! would be fun, to
i highly reccomend the Barret-jackson auctions
lots of coupons given out there
i have a friend who goes to those, crossy - she's a collector, though
Would you buy brand new or nearly new?
am 8 plz
not sure. i have connections for two brands. but we do have a nearby car broker, who will get what you want in demo or off lease. very nice savings.
Hi does anyone know if there is list anywhere today please?
volley has one
Volleymomdee has one in her profile
Thanks for the info. I'll go an look.
It's good to have connections. There's such a huge choice it's hard to know where to begin.
this is tough, should be my last car but as long as i must drive it to anf from work, it will get dinged up
then a lease back should be perfect
am8 - a plus most of a fingerless glove, then plural of watering holes in the desert, minus a vowel(at the beginning)
sadly, welk, i would have to pay for allof those dings. it would be very costly
go for the demos, but avoid off-leases
I suppose an armoured car isn't a possibility?
no no, not lease a car - purchase one that's been returned because the lease is over or they traded up. low miles, good condition, strong bargaining power
people pound the crap our of company lease vehicels,i see it every day at my shop
good idea. or at least a checker;)
am8 starts like the island in Jaws and ends like the plural of the red flower
and there, i disagree with crossy :) i think demos are driven hard - leases may be more gently cared for because of the cost associated with returning a damaged/overused vehicle
ty haz and molly
You're welcome, ivesy.
Notice Cross said "company lease vehicles". I agree with him about those.
he also buys repos. but all are under mfr warranty and his mechianic on staff inspects all.
i have a fella who leases a high end jaguar, company pays the lease but not the gas or oil,so he runs 87 octane in it and says the hell with it,i nget a new one every 2 years..many execs do that so i dissagree with you welki
company leases,not private leases
yep - company lease v personal lease
private leases are different as you are liable for every nick when you turn it in
Does anyone privately lease anymore? There is no longer any financial advantage in that.
then i agree with you crossy :)
:))
yes, those who have no down $ and want a small montly payment.
and those in small business who need a pick up truck oir 3,small fleets
i want to see the new cadillac along the lines of audi a4 and bmw, you can drive them as well as many models. and on sunday they cannot sell you anything, against the law
Company leasing I understand.
the caddy sts is amazing TO
i saw the track test on it
all the power you will ever need and corners like it is on rails and all the bells and whistles
have you seen the new ATS? I would not buy but want to drive.
it is wild TO!!
no,i have not seen the ats
but the sts is for those who love to drive and like direct imput and raw power and all the creature comforts
but the body style is a love/hate thing
Clue please for am 8/45
i see many in the lot at work. they are well loved it seems. but to bring it into a city every day where most are uninsured and theft is high...
seriously, out of my $ range.
http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/se dans/1201_cadillac_ats_vs_bmw_3_series /
am8 was clued at 9.22 and 9.23, gran.
Afternoon Babblers. I left the premises here for an hour and hubby and son broke into my Babble! Turns out nothing is sacred. . .
what is your budget to and what type of vehicle you looking at? sport? suv, moms taxi? 2 door,4 door?
howdy focal
Hey Crossy
acck! imfiltrating your babble??
hi focal - nice to 'meet' you. (good thing babble is a clean site :)
damn typos
Did they enter words?
i may be mor ein the hyundai budget - alo tfor the $ with the sonata and they look sharp. must get past snob appeal
Shocking! And they were so delighted with themselves, 40 words!
symp with you focal, had the same done to me by rude (very welcome actually) visitors 14 to go
indeed as long as they are in here, the least they can do is get the 8,s and 9,s for you
Last one and not seeing it pa 6/24
Yeah, funnily enough it was mainly 4s and 5s..
friend at work has a sonata, to - loves it, looks sharp
so...$12,000 to 15,000
gran, pa6/24 - pa plus the title given to unmarried women, but backwards.
They looked so guilty when I came in!!!
oh no, add 8K to that
the sync technology is amazing at that price point in sonata
well, you can get a lot of car for 25 g,s
i would then recommend the VW tdi diesel series
nothing like getting 1000 miles on 55 litres of diesel
and now i am getting exvited about th eauto show. it is so great to be able to see so many models at once
those motors last over 500,000 miles
tight builds,solid as a rock
you can get the tid in a sedan or wagon
tdi*
all the torque in the world
the last fa 5/16 plz
fa5/16 - insult to the chubby
oh my, i have been up over three hours and nothing done 0 sorry, i love cars and got too chatty 0 bye all!
http://www.volkswagendowntowntoronto.c a/en/newcars/specs/index.spy?make=Volk swagen&model=Jetta+TDI
Bye, TO, good to see you - enjoy the cars!
tc to
i think i am going to take off on my bday friday and go. and get redued ticket. a nice way to spend the day.
ty haz
well with 25 g,s to play with you have the link and crossy,s recomendation
who has a list?
You're welcome, ivesy.
Volleymomdee has a list, also MollyL.
Thank you, Haz
ty crossy
Hee hee, TAYTO is on the grid and here in Ireland it is the best selling potato chip! I think Babble needs to become more cosmopolitan and global!
Tayto cheese and onion are in a league of their own.
Ha ha Haz, you have tried them? Mmmmmmm!
tight german engineering,a diesel power plant that churns out oodles of power, crazy mileage range and body panels that are solid
fireworks wow twas tough
yaa for vanillia!!
I'm from the land where Tayto is made, Focal. I'm from Co Antrim though they're made in Co Armagh.
Can anyone clue me the as 7 after the as 6 referring to the stars plz?
Good on ya Vanilla!
Well done, vanilla.
yes focal but i am craving a sandwich now of genoa and swiss...sa6/7
They used to be manufactured right beside me here in Dublin. Miss that smell!
as7 - a plus a pig house, then first three letters of Vaughan William's ascending bird.
and take the a away for the st6
Thanks for that clue Haz! It was brilliant.
Glad it worked, Sandie.
ah, a reference that does not cross cultures, sadly.
:D got it
In the absence of cultural identification, I find Google a great help!
rather la6 for me so off to bed have a great day/night all
Sleep well, vanilla.
night vs
Nightie night vanilla
ty bye
yes,we seem to have a culture gap going on..:/
It's a fabulous piece of music.
you mean the Lark Ascending?
Yes. Hello, ruru.
that's one of my favorites
ty ruru that got it for me:)
Just when you're convinced the soloist can't go any higher...
exactly
I like cultural clues
It's so hauntingly beautiful
yes it is
Hello, Dorens.
good morning doren and haz..anyone know the tennis results?
I know they were going into a fifth set in the mens.
And it's now over.
hi. sorry, I am woefully uninformed about sports these days. about all i know is who's playing next week's superbowl, which is sort of impossible to not know (living in nj)
Do you know already, ru, or do you want to know?
that Murray has taken his game up a notch Haz.. he's on the cusp of winning some tournaments
joker won.
nice to see you, haz and ru, even if I'm not a tennis afficionado
hi dorens.
He is a very, very good player, ruru. He's within touching distance but the big three are all so brilliant.
no.. I wouldn't get up @ 3 in the morning to watch anything
match went for almost 6 hours.
epic battles between those two
was still on when I got up at 9.
The men's game seems to be getting stronger and more physical all the time.
Get up at 3AM to watch tennis? Ahahahahahaha...not me. : P
yes.. their endurance has to be unbelievable
especially Nadal.. he's super-human
I tried once to watch Federer, but couldn't stay awake.
so many great players right now.. they're all worthy
Get that knee fixed and you'll be back competing, ruru.
Tuesday is my next appointment to set things up
yay!
Good, glad you're getting things under way.
yeah now I'll stop complaining I guess
that means more puns and other jokes?
yeah.. kind of comes with the territory :)
Dorens, we're hoping that the anaesthetic will have an effect on his punning.
indeed, we will be happy to see the real ru return
not a chance haz... I'll be worse than ever
*Says a little prayer that Ru does not end up with Nurse Rachet*
ru probably needs nurse ratchett
I have ma8 and al8 what's the third?
haz, unfortunately anesthetics do wear off...
I married a nurse ratchet..
: O
am8/45
oh, so THAT's why you always bring her breakfast and lattes ? you have to! I always htought it was cause you were such a sweetiepie
thanks haz.. i'll look for it
No problem.
and i'll look for clues for it when you find it
misuse? Why is this common word not in the puzzle?
The am8 sounds like friendly bad breath : )
cause it isn't there focal
nice cllue mol
Ooops! Ignore that ignorant comment, think my eyes need a break!!
You would have to use the S twice
got it
I'm missing a ton of 7's
i'm missing 21 of them
oh.. doren JUST got here
<----needs to go be a sweetie-pie.. brb
well, i am nearly at half-way point, but generally find the long words later on. I am not nearly as good as you are at this
lol
oh.. pulease
the lol was at you being a sweetie pie. I am good at this, but not THAT ggood... often need clues for the longer words
mmm! crossy breffast!! eggs over easy, hush puppies all golden brown fried in butter, hickory smoked, maple kissed bacon, english muffins with apple jelly and ice cold orange juice:))
crossy cheats and makes the hush puppys with itallian polenta
the oh Pulease was about you playing this game
down to 70 but slowing down
nom,,,nom..nom...
at*** shrugged
88 left. diving back into grid.
alts
oops
Can I have a clue for the last fa5. It's driving me crazy
fa5 - insulting the chubby
I am a fa7 lol
not sure if this is the last fa, but i have adj. of opp of thin
Well it's an impolite way of addressing someone who is under-tall for their weight!
just fluffy is crossy
I like your definition focal
husky
Thank you.
he 5/22 even
Ha ha Crossy, good!
I don't see the fa7
Must go now, cheerio babblers, thanks for the chat and entertainment! Slán :)
sigh..there we go,that filled in the corners.i shall last for a bit now:))
tc focal
There is no fa7, ruru.
Well.. THAT explains that then.. thank you haz
No problem.
I think that was a typo
ashamed to admit how long I looked for a fa7
how would you know ruru?
Better than looking for love in all the wrong places
Or looking for Mr. Goodbar
lol
These days it would probably be Looking For Mr. GoodProfile.
A co-worker broke up with her long time boyfriend and two weeks later was on dating web sites. My friend says she must subscribe to the theory that the only way to get over one man is to get under another one. : P
omg that's funny
well,i guess she can order a nice used revolving door for her bedroom
and it is now time for crossy,s quote of the day!!
"I don't know where we come from, Don't know where we're going to, And if all this should have a reason, We would be the last to know. So let's just hope there is a promised land, And until then, ...as best as you can." -- Steppenwolf, "Rock Me Baby"

For those not up on their Shakespeare...Hamlet's soliloquy is ** be or not ** be, that is the question

haven't seen that of4.9 in a while
sorry, Glant.. don't know
that of4 reminds me of the french phrase 'au fait'
ma 7-8 combo, please?
what does it mean, Glant?
the enzyme that breaks down ma**, as in ma** liquor or Ma** balls
abreast of latest knowledge or developments - somebody ios 'au fait' with the latest technology
ma7/8 as sugar ending for the stuff that makes the counter to milk shakes
it just means they know about it!
ah, ty Glant.. have seen it but never took French
ty aloy -- missed that entire series
they are "up to snuff"
you pronounce au fait excalty the same way I imagine you pronounce the of4/9

Hi JMC
skype has never worked that well for me--maybe i need a newer computer
whoo hooo snuffy!
it used to be a bit dodgy back in 2005-7 but has umproved considerably
maybe i should try again
it hasn't dropped out half way through for years for me now
and the sound no longer sounds like you're ina biscuit tin
they tried in class last semester and it didn't seem to work
speed and memory are factors -- doesn't work as will with my netbook as it does with my desktop
but it is possible the prof was not technically experienced enough
you can even have more than 2 people in the same viseo call now - but you may have to pay for tht

Hey all! May I please have stats for the lower right T?

i am just starting on naps - gave them up 50 years ago LOL
hey jes
not sure about cocnut waffles
hi dorens
bruce says it's really more of a frosting than a syrup. either way, it's YUMMY
do you just mix dried cocnut int the waffle mix?
what's not to be sure of, glant?
Hi Dorens
i'd love the coconut waffles, but the chocolate syrup would not work for me
no, he used coconut milk
ah, the amazing bruce strikes again! We had cold cereal this morning. Got up late and didn't feel like cooking.
dorens are you babbling lying down?
i see, used cocnut milk to make waffle batter - that I could cope with
i think coconut works with almost anything. I've been a coconut fiend for years!!
though if we'd had dried coconut, some of that may have made it in also
no, j i'm at the desk... why?
I had Kedgeree for breakfast - courtesy of the fiend LOL
i was wondering why your icon was on its side
kedgeree? eggs of some sort?
eggs and rice a nd flaked fish and indian spices
okay, I am stumped by the i word and the A in the middle row. any help for NBT?
oh, that's because i never figured out how to make it straight. sometimes i'm all thumbs with technology. sorry
and eggs
that sounds delish, glant
open it in paint and there is a tool to flip the pic and then save it again and up load
that sounds delicious, glantarell!
it was stidmama
the A is a map book now help me with the lower T!
no paint here jmc, mac pictures... i suppose i could do that but right now i'm running out and it seems like i never have time. (and now people at work have forced me into ten games of words with friends)
I don't have the I or T
ah! thanks jmc

My hovercraft is full of eels?????
Jes, I took the hinges off the PB door when I found st5 earlier. : )
bahaha
stidmama has strange sense of humour LOL
heheheheh
Indeed Glant
i used to know how to say "the beautiful elephant danced on the piano" in russian...
hi leslie
hiya jmc.
*wonders how a hovercraft might get full of eels*
sadly, i've forgotten the words for both elephant and danced...
LOL Jes
as punishment for sassing you last night my internet immediately shut down for like 20 minutes. *shrug*
the only st5 i have is a thing you tie with (or smack children with depending on your life)
oh i am (sorta) glad to hear that i was afraid you left angry with me!
E st5...ef4/7, en5/20, es5/14 and es6/18
but sorry you were without internet
well, babble has to go to the pb, because st5 is written on this page :)
heh. there's one that's REALLY fishy and is used a lot in chat, j... plural, and found directly after the word "tile" below the grid...
st is an abbreviation of statistics
haha no worries, i finished in plenty of time
Thou shalt not sass JMC *Sound of thunder clap*
lesson learned.
ooooooooh well obviously there must be amnesty for that! hahaha *looks for a glass of oj in the pb frig*

hi tabby

Thanks dos & jes
Hi all
tr+ donkey
ty jes
Should have had that one...I had the ti6
thanks jess...
hi sammy
Your highness Molly indeed. I am not the one with the Queen Bee, grand poobah-ess rooftop view of DC. : P
haha you just wish you were!
Actually, heights make me dizzy, so I'm not. But I'm glad you have it.
i am bad with heights too but the boy suggested it and it seem to cool not to do!
I now have this vision of JMC sitting on her rooftop deck calling down to passers by "Ha ha, you wish you were me!" : )
haha! I so would do that too but you can't see the deck from the front of the house
you should come march 10 and see it all with your very own peepers
what's march 10?
i am trowing an open house so all my neighbors and friends can see the new kitchen etc.--i just hope it is a nice day so people can go out on the deck!
*throwing
ah, sounds fun :)
i think it will be--all the neighbors keep walking by to see how things are going
lots of drooling over the roof deck
I'm telling you, when/if you ever decide to sell, you will be beating buyers off with a stick.
i won't because i will be dead
i have no intention of moving from here
heh. zombie j chasing buyers off might make it difficult for your son to sell the place.
Oh, I thought you were looking at jobs in other parts of the country/world.
haha he wants to live here now that i have the roof deck
i was but i didn't intend to sell this place--just rent it out to the boy
currently looking at a job in DC
jmc - send co-ordinates for March 10 :-)
2Bit will be arriving by hang glider
forty one nineteen garrison street northwest but little miss 2bit must come so i can pinch her cheeks
had to give up the hang glider, the motorbike and the base jumping gear when baby2bit came along :-P
i am near rodmans store on wisconsin
not the base jumping gear!! but my deck is perfect
gotcha! I had several friends in high school round your way - near the Japanese embassy
ah yes that is not too far
i can walk to maryland--its only 4 blocks
*Sigh* People get so bland when kids come along. I suppose you are driving a mini-van now too
ah but then the kids grow up and you can run amok again!
i will post the party in my profile come nearer the time
excellent! I shall prep the cheeks :-)
now i must go write a truly boring paper--i just hope it won't put me to sleep before i finish it
bbl
still driving my beater '95 toyota, but we did get a RAV4
Oh good for you. I had to say goodbye to my beater '99 Hyundai last year. She was with me ten years.
hoping it passes inspection in April :-)
I've had the new car for almost a year and I'm still like a kid on Christmas with power locks, power windows and a CD player. : )
nan was right this sa words are stupid
the second mi 7/32 pls
... think "cell division"
Evening Babblers, I'm at this all day and I'm sick of it now!! Still have no 9 letter word, still missing t from the fourth row and o from the bottom row. H E L P !!!! Want to get to bed!!!
ov4 what you bake things in
haha hi focal. 9 is from al 8/9 combo, builds off the house al5 you may have
.. 9 builds from al5 ..."to raise the al5" when the fire starts ... 8 is a person who always causes al5 ... 9 is two of them
my goodness, Focal raises quite an al5/12, making her a bit of an al8/45, huh?
still looking for mi 7
... one of the o's is what you bake in
Totally! But you are all making me happy. Just the fouth row t now and I can be nbt nbs and nwb (nice warm bed)
... ta6/7 .... I believe it's a japanese art form ... rhymes with the sa6 processed meat
... ta5 ... sounds like traditional Irish favourite vegetable which was always contribuing to famines
ta6/7 is actually the japanese floor mat
... thanks ... good to know
ooh didn't have the sa6 thanks
Thanks doseffing, for all those. Didn't have the sa6 either, but still struggling with the fourth row t. brain dead at this stage. . .
hey all!
hi stiddy, hi all
... mi7 ... plural of cell division process ... ... or ... what you might wear on your hand in winter plus 04/4
Google to the rescue, got the ta6 japanese floor mat. nbt nbs and f i n a l l y nwb. Nightie night all. Oiche maith. Slán :)
bye focal! good night
slan, focal! sweet dreams!
stiddy, glan was wondering earlier if you really meant to talk about eels on a hovercraft
I did, actually -- it's a quote from a Monty Python sketch, illustrating the perils of using phrasebooks when you have very little knowledge of the language.
haha. glan said something about an odd sense of humor, haha
another famous quote from that sketch is "my nipples explode with delight" but that wasn't in the source I was using
did glantarell not know the source?
not sure.
LOL
hu6?
it's a german mercenary I think LA
start like Olivia HU**ey, and then end with 2/3 of second person form for "to be"

Daughter just home from her skiing trip to Andorra. Laden down with European chocolate... I'm sitting on my hands trying to resist the temptation...
... g'day ... ... is it 8-6 in the hockey game yet?
I made a housecall 2 hrs ago and the mother of the ill child gave me a Godiva dark chocolate bar. I ate half--yummy.
3-1
... I suggest you save your daughter's teeth by eatig all the chocolit yourself ...
Oh Dos.... I never thought of that. I would be doing them all a favour by eating it myself. How clever of you. Thank you. :-) :-) :-)
... One must always think of one's children
Absolute (hic) ly..

hi all, the apple chips are pretty good but prolly not in the quantity i'm snacking on
Trader joes had 3 lbs of apples / bag so got a bag and then did the chips
I guess the whole hazelnuts nestling in the Swiss chocolate are good for me...........

Hi kje
Hiya Shirl & Kje :-)

Name that French artist. (Hurshy does these trivia questions.)

Lady Soodle, I'm totally digging Downton Abbey : )
I haven't seen it yet but have heard raves from Babblers.
bottom o besides what I want to stick my head in...
Oh Molly. I am so glad your enjoying it. I was totally absorbed by it.
crossy wonders if Leonard Cohen is going to tour and do his new album "old ideas" live
That is the 1 I have.
i would love to see him while he is still cranking out the tunes
... o + like pixies
downton abbey!!!!!
Oh yikes, Crossy. Last night I was waxing eloquent about Janis Ian. Her and Leonard Cohen...... Boo hoo hoo.
A friend went to ahis concert a couple of years ago and is still raving about him.
ty cross!
http://www.leonardcohen.com/ca/oldidea s
Like pixies....I'm thinking.

Hi to my fellow babblers! How is everyone doing today
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
howdy min and welcome to the grid:)
how exciting, scrabs!
Hi Min
Oh Crossy, I am a huge fan of both.... its just if you were at a low ebb, they could tip you over the edge...
o+ *** dunaway
Cross, he is not available for consumption.
or o & King Kong actress *** Wray
lol,if i were at low ebb and wanted tipping i would listen to jim morrison
TY, Marilyn!
So, where in Downton Abbey are you guys at right now?
yw
dvd's coming out very soon -- i'm on the library reserve list!
I got the box-set as a Christmas gift. I watched all episodes of both series over one weekend. I was curtseying and 'milord-ing' for the whole week afterwards.
how fabbo, soodle!!!
As I said, Une.. I was totally absorbed. Its just such a well made, well acted, well located piece of work. Enthralling!
did you watch the marathon une/
yes -- omg!!!
This is my second time in Babble. Are there directions someplace?
did you?
new episode tonight
<spoiler alert>Mr. Bates just came back last week!

maggie - click help button above the chat
can you imagine being as fit as those two.. holy moly
Thank you.
twas 2:00am here :-)
Hello maggiej! How are you doing? Welcome to Babble.
what a thrill for the fans!!!!!!!!!1
I have some friends that were there
really!!!!???
wow
ru - SF Feb 16-20
yes.. they just emailed me
how cool
oh really.. great.. let's try to meet for coffee.. I'll wear a flak jackeet
and a helmet too
hey all -- any medics on board this afternoon? Busted pinky toe. Anti-inflammatories for pain, ice and elevation, buddy taping tomorrow... that's my plan. Crutches on standby so I can teach. Anything else I should do?
Welcome to Babble, Maggie.
and shin guards
ruru, you should have been with them!!!
hey cousin, didn't expect you to be here!
That's the right plan, stid
thought you'd be cuddling with Gulliver!
oh.. I could never take a flight that long
stid, not much you can do
hi stid -- how did you manage to do that?
so sorry stid - that can hurt
oh brave Stid! what a little soldier
I am giving him space + time so he doesn't get too stressed.
oh is Gulliver his name??
... whine and complain all the time ... my wife's been doing it for 25 years and it really wasn't my fault ... I didn't step on her toe on the dance floor ...
Thanks Scrabs and all. Figured. And I did it in the usual way, Nan. Carrying one thing, watching another and ran into a box that was slightly out of place. It wouldn't move, so the toe did. *sigh*
could i get a clue for the at7,28?
Sir Gulliver Rabbit, formerly named Pancakes by previous family.
if crooked, can have them straighten it and buddy tape.... but otherwise, just time, pain meds, ice, and try to wear stiff sole shoes and don't roll through and push off on your toes when you walk... that will hurt
... plural of the book of maps
Hello stidmama! How's your figurative language lesson plan going? I was doing lesson plans for contractions.
LOL doseffing, the "whine and complain" are part of my normal routine. Figured I'd just ramp it up a bit. ;-)
LOL
TY dos
Hi cybernan! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
tx dos
Haha Dos!
it seems to have gone back to it's normal weird shape, so no need to have it yanked on. but I will keep an eye on it in case it shifts overnight.
86 to go and do not have one 8 or 9..... apparently I need to lengthen my gaze
see how in pain I am??? I mis-added an apostrophe! *whimper*
Big ouchie for a few days, Stid.
... yeah ... works really well ... usually good for dinner out just to get you to be quiet ... you should see the limp she puts on for rainy days
I didn't even look at the word st**s.
same here kje
kje: al 5: big clanging noise for fire
then add to end (something like fog), then plural for the 8/9
hm. dinner out...
Oh Stid, I feel your pain. I stood on an upturned plug last night..... nothing broken, but I cursed for 20 minutes solid, without repeating myself.
oohhh someone who overreacts
ty stid!
ah, soodles! I bow to your prowess. I just kind of hollered and then talked about hydroelectric power for a while.
poor stidmama:(( may i also recommend 2 or 3 glasses of crossy,s famouse long island iced tea..for the pain of course
Buddy taping never helped me when I broke my toe. For what it's worth.
TY for al8 and 9
of course, cross! :-) that is always an appropriate suggestion. With a side of bacon, perhaps!
ditto!
turns out that if you break your BIG toe, that is a big deal. Just saying. (I have a pin in mine).
budy taping is helpful if crooked so that it heals straight (essentially a splint) but agree that will not help the pain
thanks Molly -- it might help me get through the night
... I believe that you must tape them immediately .. if you wait for morning it's too late
15 s's to go
owie sue! it was my pinky toe though, and I did this once before on the other foot. So now I shall have a matching pair. And it's why I know going to the doc is useless.
go nan go!
lol, here it is...1/2 ounce each of gin, rum, vodka, triple sec...3/4 fill glass with pin lemonade, then add splash of coke or pepsi, then top with shaved ice and garnish with 1/2 lemon slice
Not being flippant, Stid, but, be sure to....'Take the ribbon from your hair'.............
but the s's are diabolical
I am an "active" sleeper so if I don't tape it overnight I'll manage to yank it out of place for sure
'
I wasn't even going to go to the doctor since I figured they didn't do anything for broken toes (there is a long story here that I will not relate at the moment) - good thing I did, though.
same here stid --2 lumpy pinky toes
pink*
what's an active sleeper?
All they will do for your four small toes is contort your foot into a painful position to x-ray it, and then tell you what you already know, it's broken.
Crooked injured toes and busted great toe = problems.
sounds like an easy recipe cross. I don't have gin, rum or triple sec, but we have some nice plum brandy and vodka. :-)
do you hold the glass on the toe between sips, crossy? That's what I call icing an inflamation!
Ru...tosses, turns and steals covers...active sleeper.
well, just times the vodka by 3 and roll with it
I think I am too lazy to cook tonight.... what shall I order in....
kung pao chicken kje
<---- can contribute zambucca, poitÃn and whiskey to the party.
I think Indian food is good for tonight kje -- at least here it would be ideal. It's chilly and rainy all day.
I was thinking of your fave, ru
what is poitin?
*runs to look up the po 6*
Too late, snatched the poitÃn
<---has lots of booze .. rarely drinks it
gah. I never thought to spell it that way! LOL
we don't have delivery out here in the country
we see it in babble a lot as poteen, yes?
... pouteen
what's the point with no poitin?
A local version of bootleg, Stid. AKA potcheen...
ru, loving the provencal grid? mi**** and pas**** LOL
Xnay on the extra u Dose
moonshine... *sigh* wouldn't mind a little at the moment, to be honest.
drink the pa**** while th mi***** howls outside
... hey ... Canadian eh! ... we put the extra u in everything ... whether it's Irish hooch or Quebecois cheese curds and gravy
*the
I got those two immediately une
A neighbour of mine makes it by the gallon. It comes in very handy when decorating, and I run out of paint-stripper.
didn't have that mi une - ty
I managed to get my Canadian husband to quit adding u's to words, but he never dropped the zed thing
it's a wind in southern france kje
yw
bacoun, eh? mauple syurup?
*Downs a shot of poitÃn*
yes, ru.... I am actually very well read and travelled ; )
people blame their bad mood on the mi*****
... you only use zee because it was the dutch who colonized New York (New Amsterdam) ... we're all good Hanoverians using the German tzet
really? does danielle steele write about southern france?
Also a Judith Krantz novel...Mi*****'s daughter.
ruru!!
*PUTS ON SHIN GUARDS*
boy are you going to need those shin guards
*wonders why ru is picking a fight with me*
bored, ru?
You need a cup, ru. watch out.
yeah..feeling feisty
lolol scrab!
ROFL
Ru, that means she's going for your nads
yikes
this grid would goo faster if I stopped looking for words from tiles that are already gray
some of my ancestors founded Schenectady... :-) Never did get why "zed" was preferable to "zee" until I learned that Greek was zeta. Then it made sense.
*watching Ru run away with his tail between his legs*
Tom says I am not allowed to go shopping with him this afternoon. *sulk*
that's not my tail scrabs
I keep typing Y words.
thx for the mi7! now I only have two blank stats and two blank tiles :-)
Whoa, Ru. Poor Mrs Ru.
oh sheesh.....
one blank tile.
i would say not! broken toe REMEMBER!!
go sue go!
... sounds like an insult to me stid ... get the sulk going for that dinner
*sticks tongue out at mcurl*
hahahahaha
ordering sushi
stidmama, at least Tom GOES shopping. Mine refuses to step foot in a store, unless it is something for him.
actually, thinking that maybe it's the ring finger toe instead. The pinky is not painful to touch, but the other one is. Oh well, toe is a toe. They still HURT.
mmmm. sushi.
Tom could make sushi for supper!
well I won't be eating dinner at Kje's tonight
ha, nbt finally.
yes indeed a toe's a toe and mine still hurts occasionally!
no one asked you....
Hello uusue2! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
Min, I know I am VERY fortunate in my choice of companion. Tom is lovely and kind when I really need it, and just ornery enough when I don't. :-)
blue, stid?
Hello mcurlschool! How are you? Welcome to the grid.
am fine this nonsnowy day min
BBS, must make and dole out salads for bunnies.
not yet, kje -- put arnica on it to help keep bruising down. it's just really really red at the moment.
how many hours so far?
mcurl, it has been a lovely silvery day, hasn't it? I like the trees not falling over bit.
later Scrabs. Extra carrots for Gulliver!
si 6/18, please?
We've had many non-snowy days.I heard on the news that last year at this time we had 49 inches of snow.
just now, kje! about 20 minutes? or just about 5 minutes before I logged in here. Tom and stidkid #2 came running when they heard me fall down.
yes stid-- a little rain here, a llittle there but NO SNOW or ICE or WIND--and balmy temps as well! LOL
So far this year, we've had only seven inches of snow.
almost like the mi wind, vcyber
... abreviation of female sibling + end of ole blue's surname
si & immediately or ****ight away
ooh. thanks kje!
and thanks for asking, cyber, cuz then i saw it
I had 20 in three days; the entire western half of the state was out of school for at least 4 days; min. then came the ice storm and exploding trees and loss of power for over 300,000 people and over 7 days to get it all back on!
not finding the away part -- right away, but this? no idea
we have about 15 in the same time span I think... only we weren't measuring very closely at first. The first day of snow had almost melted away when the big storm hit.
SOOOOOOO glad its gone!
Nan - try not crooked
Think the report did not count the noreaster we had in October. I think the report meant from beg. of Jan
Soodle, was there such a thing as "elite Irish" or were they all servants for the British?
we have a teensy pile down by our mailbox, and the Costco parking lot has HUGE piles left. Otherwise, the only hazard to driving is the branches and logs that are still on the shoulders of the roads.
oh -- ty
sounds right, Min -- you had a doozy in October!
yeah for the most part ours is gone except out back in the field, still pretty covered
Not back in the early days of the 20th century Molly. We were all pretty much under the thumb.

You gotta remember, the potato famine was only about 50 years before that, so it was a decimated country.
and that was the second or third famine in only a couple hundred years, right? I know there was one in the 1700s, too.

(((lynxxx))) stay away from boxes! :-) see you next time.
No wonder America was so appealing to the Irish then.

Sure, Stid. But the famine of 1845 pretty much obliterated the population. I did our family tree, and it was a bit eerie to see that my forefathers died of starvation. But..... Onwards and Upwards, eh?
<I knew as I typed my last post that was going to be a conversation stopper. Hey... I'm not starving!!! Loads of Swiss chocolate!!!
<--- still here (hi soodle!)
Hey Sue :-)
I figure my grandfather was born sometime in the early 1890s, so probably still feeling the effects of the rough times.
Any idea what part of the country he hailed from Molly?
*Raises a glass of poitÃn to Gran Da*
Sláinte.
Somewhere in Cork Soodle. One of my Massachusetts cousins is holding the family tree hostage at the moment.
okay. sent lesson plan and idea for a different lesson to my friend whose class I am taking tomorrow. VERY excited to be in her room again.
so that's what Molly meant.. when she said put a cork in it buddy...
Likewise, a Pennsylvania cousin is holding my Dad's side of the family tree hostage.
The Irish Census records for 1901 and 1911 are available online now. If you know the surname, and/or the townland they came from, it would be reasonably easy to trace...
I figure the irish from wales in my family were there because they could get work in wales... and the ones who ended up here were not as badly off as some, they came with some resources and education at least. But it is strange to hit brick walls trying to find out what part of Ireland they were from, and whether there was anyone left behind.
oh, that's cool, soodle! My ancestors came over well before that, but still, an exciting resource!
I've been trying to get my aunt, who is the last living sibling of my Mother's to spill some family history, but she has not been forthcoming.

that's my family, too sue -- here before 1860. and some earlier as far as we know.
my sister did some genealogical research about 20 years or so ago, but I don't know what happened to it

And so the cycle continues. Most of the youngsters from our area have emigrated, my own son included. Emigration. An Irish solution to an Irish problem. :-(

Soodles, would be happy to ship me own bright offspring to you to fill the gap... *grumbly mama look*
Woo-Hoo Nan... enjoy!!

it is hard to find ancestors in Ireland because most records were kept in churches and many of them were burned or destroyed by the Brits
I have an as 6 relating to star study?
LOL Stid. But its pretty grim round these here parts. Our local football team has been disbanded because all the young lads are gone. My youngest daughter said to me (in all seriousness)... 'I'll never get a husband'....
that's the 6, i need the 7
I figure since few family stories got passed down (orphans, moving, etc) that we just have to be content to know we are from the beautiful land and dream of returning someday.

Okay, I'm laughing my ass off at the hoity toity Brit women being afraid of "the vapors" of electricity.
Seriously, If any Babbler felt the urge to trace their Irish roots, I would be only too happy to help from this end. Genuine offer!!

ooh tough to clue
Thank you Soodle I will keep that in mind.

I may be taking you up on that too Soodle. It is on my bucket list to visit and walk where my ancestors walked

sa 5/12 pls

thanks nan
Dose, the famine happened in 1845, so I guess things were a bit chaotic. The first verified census was 1901. But there would still be old parochial records etc. And I would be very happy to do whatever I could.

Its rapidly approaching 23.30 here, so the Soodle boudoir beckons. My email address is in my profile if anybody wants to get in touch. In the meantime, I will (in Downton Abbey speak) bid you all a very good night.

On the east coast of Vancouver Island Nan

is that white sand? or snow? -- thought it was snow and that you were somewhere north of Prince Rupert
it is sand. My favourite beach was once a small island but shifting sand has created a spit. It is always a lovely walk

this picture was likely taken just after the herring run in March
Looks lovely - have been up to Bamfield, but never all the way up the east coast
bugs yesterday morning when I drove Matthew in to town to stay with a friend for a few days there was a bald eagle flew over the car no more than 40 ft up. It was a magnificent bird.
Bamfield is on the west coast. Our side is more protected from ocean weather. We are half way up in Comox Valley

I'm working on the first one as well, kje

lol cos
i guess tha means im missing the first mi6/21? or is that already the first?
that is the first one cos

ok so that means im missing either 2nd or 3rd one
sorry - no, it is constricted pupils, the mi7 is cell division

What does the list mean?
Hello mab! How are you doing? Welcome to the puzzle
maggie - different people generate lists that clue all the words with the first 2 letters, the number of letters, and the score
hi min! i'm well, hope you are too.
for example
what you cook in would be an ov 4/7
if you click on minver's or molly's icons below, you will see the list
if you click on Molly's icon, she's made a list.
2nd sa7?
ov 4 is what you cook in .. unless you eat sushi all the time
Thanks for the explanation. So they have completed the entire grid and then recode the list with 2 letter hints? Amazing.
in which case you are svelte and have a cooler house
that stinks of fish
sushi does not smell
if it does, you shouldn't eat it
<--Notices Ru ignoring Mab's question
no.. that's not mrs ru.. unless she was a robot
it will get easier the more you play maggie.... hope you are enjoying it
i don't think mrs ru would appreciate the comparison - lol
well, i considered the possibility....
transformer maybe
I am liking it ...
if it had a vacuum cleaner attached to it.. you'd have mrs ru
although..... maybe there really is no mrs ru.... we have never see her... and ru is just a weird old man with a robot
lol, kje
weird.. yes... old no
(he's younger than I am)
weird bald old man with a limp
Ru, have you already had your knee surgery?
yes, but you still have all your hair, dorens, thus look much younger
last sa6/21?
oh no, are you telling me there is still no lickety list? i have 77
77... or 77 left?
molly and min have lists
did you hear the story of a mayor of a French city has banned the use of 'madmoiselle'? They use madame only. The Germans also did away with fraulien. I think it's a good thing.
sa + sand **** in golf
ty again miz
yw again. :)
The last sa 6/21 word is sa plus that tr 4/5 word kje.
I think they have much bigger problems to solve and should not be spending it on trying to elimate a word from their language
personally i have always liked ms - one school i worked in used Ms for all teachers. married, single or divorced. But the principal who had been married for about two minutes and had no kids, reserved MRS> for herself. guess it conveyed some form of higher authority to her
right you are kj
yu can all just call me your ladyship
first st7?
I favor Ms. as well. recently I noticed on a hospital form that one was asked to specify if one was single, married, divorced, or widowed. it's no one's business I think, and evidently some of the French and the Germans.
not yet gapeach
your battleship is more like it

Perhaps you won't have to have surgery after all.
a weird bald old limpy gentleman

nope.. i'm scheduling it tuesday gapeach
I"m thinking doren if I ever meet kje .. I'll have to shave my head
I always hear that horrible Jerry Lewis saying it in his dopey clownish voice.
OK, will be sending energy and prayers to you and I'm sure the others here will too.
i always found this black comedienne very funny.... she said, "I'm such a f***ing lady" after a risqué joke. for some reason it tickled me
oh definitely shave the head ru, and act very very weird (which is not what ru acts like in person at all)
yes, hurray for ru's joints! It will be wonderful not to have pain.
I don'y mind be called a lady, a woman, a girl, etc... heavens knows I've been called worse.... many of my patients call me hon
less here than Baltimore, but still some do
'woman' seems like a perfectly serviceable word.
i sort of like being called 'hon'. maybe because I didn't have a mother
i don't mind lady, but girl does sound a bit ridiculous at this point in life.
I must confe4/7 as I babbled, I was al 5/12ed by how hard this puzzle was. I gave up at la4/4 after finding 164 words so here is a story. When I was a little girl, I went to school in Ma4/5achusetts.I was the sh6/27 student in my class. I was so extremely timid that my mother believed there was something am4/5 with my behavior.I was timid because I had is5/12s about my weight. I was tr 4/5ped in a he5/22 body. It also did not help that my parents didn't make wi4/8 decisions when it came to feeding me. My mother packed me a sa 5/14 sa6/21 sandwich for lunch almost every day. Although my lunches were ta5/14, they were not too healthy. I asked my mom to buy me healthier food for lunch when she went to the food ma4/5. There were tw5/18 in my class who called me fa5/16 all the time. They would bo 4/4 how much thinner they were than I was. My teacher, Mi 4/5 Brown, would punish them for teasing me,but that did not stop them. I believed that they wanted to ou4/5 me out of their classroom since they did not like me. They were unsuccessful in getting me to4/4ed out of their class though. As I pa 5/12d each grade the teasing became worse. Had to bring ti 6/21s with me to school every day because I would go home at dismi 6/21 with tears in my eyes. I wi4/9 ed that the police would come in their pa 6/21 cars and arrest the kids who made fun of me.That's a pa4/4 of my pa4/5 I'd like to forget all about. Ra4/4! Hubby wants the computer. As hubby si4/4 and us4/5 the laptop, I'm going to go read Mi7/32's Daughter. I can't st4/6 away from here for too long so I'll return as fa 4/7 as I can. Goodbye for now. See you later on
In Baltimore, everyone is "hawn" : )
I like Baltimore.
thanks Min

Hello Dorens! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid
doing ok min, and you?
I like B-town too Mab. Good people there.
I am ok, but must go eat dinner now. I'll be back later

jmc.... get your butt outta here and go do your paper
hmm. must be the topic that is uninspiring.

some people say that those of us who believe in global warming are al9
people who call for the fire department over and over are al9
I would be pretty unmotivated to write those papers too.
the mayan doomsayers can also eb called these
yeah i didn't really enjoy the trauma class
it wasn't as bad as the non-violent communication course
Hody
Oops
jmc, but it would seem that you could get a good paper out of the work being done with trauma in Rwanda
hi crossy
Crossy babbling on the tablet
that is a thought wht--or even kenya since i talked to some of those guys
Hi Crossy
wtg crossy
yeah, got the 9!

Yaa for jen
I don't know how much the African Great Lakes Initiative has on line, but the the stuff they mail out seems pretty good.
phantom-house
i could always email david z.
You might also check with Peggy S-P.
good idea maybe i will do that
For the compare and contrast the 3 books. One was too hard, one was too easy, and one was just right.
oh yes, Rwanda is fascinating. rather original approach to unspeakable wrongs
hahaha wht i think they are expecting more
just use very wide margins and large type
I'm sure no one will notice.
no they actually give you limits on those
i do get to double space
So you have to pad it out a little bit. Look how far Goldilocks got with that.
haha wht i just need to buckle down and write something
the worst thing they can do is flunk me
When are these do?
Or due?
the observations are due monday night and the books are due friday and the other is due monday or so
but i need to get them done so i can do something else
i really just need a job haha!
Like play Babble?
exactly work doesn't interfere with babble as much as school does!
hey je
hi TO
i need a job too. it seems, however, that after lots of education i have no actual skills.
Maybe you could check in with Mr. P about a part time position putting up the list.
i have lots of skills but so do hundreds of others
work is overrated. i can't wait to quit
Or Mab and jmc could job share.
i don't think putting up the list is a paying proposition
love the icon je
ty TO i found it on the web and fell in love with it
a card? a painting?
But jmc, aren't the career counselors always saying to follow your passion?
i really don't remember
uh my passion is to lobby congress and play babble
nap a little
nap a little
Unfortunately, you seem to like to lobby Congress for people with no money.
Maybe if you tried teaching history to Congress, you could make the kind of money Mr. Gingrich does. :^)
well there is that
haha but i would want to tell the truth and then i wouldn't get paid!
True, ethics are a problem in that line of work.
i taught tax once to an undergrad class and was fired for talking about special tax bills
Why, the moment you take even a glance at the tax laws, you realize who the law benefits.
i spent a long time on the low income taxpayer committee of the ABA and kept arguing with the rest of the committee
one of my problems is that my passion seems to be doing volunteer work.
volunteer work doesn't pay either--may be you could supervise
hello everyone, back to hopefully finish this grid

my husband and I are running an old time music festival the end of February
the tuning makes me crazy, though.

I could bring my autoharp
and there are lots of free copies of sheet music available as well
Mother used to have an autoharp (wonder where it went)
you all come - go to the web site www.gwmf.org
i am trying to learn the autoharp and next month will go to a four day bowed psaqltry workshop

anjelica huston was offered the role in that movie. she turned it down and kathy bates got it

... ooh ... that migiht have been good ... but she'd probably play it too sinister
agreed. she did the grifters instead. the funny thng is she was nominated for an oscar for the grifters but lost to kathy bates for misery that year
I liked her in the movie where she got the parking space
fried green tomatoes
with jessica tandy
I thought that might be the one..loved that scene
... but she got the Oscar for Pritzi's Honor ... and then got her great role ... Morticia Adams
I loved that lady, and the movie
yes. and now she has a new tv show on nbc is is penning her autobio
I mean Jessica Tandy
I hardly know the names of the new crop of actresses
<--massive anjelica huston fan. have an autographed pix of her on my wall lol
I seldom see a movie anymore, unless visiting the kids
I liked her father too
... Does Fried Green Tomatoes count as a chick flick? ... it's got women in the starring role ... but canabulism?
we'll never tell dos
lol cannibalism ... good point
but it was just one person?
guess it might dos, that was a long time ago
I am down to 20 going to find a list..thank you all for all the help
new definition of chick flick is: a movie that has either julia roberts, sandra bullock or reese witherspoon

ok...links is dere.
she looks silly in some of the pics.LOL The mommy that is.
oh m I was right
1/2 way
oh west?
yes?
right about what?
that he is a beautiful baby
m9, he's gorgeous, so cute, and looking around even at that age!!!!!
oh! thanks!
and what a good photographer too
did you have a hard trip up? hope not
some of the pics have a yellow cast to them.. that's not his skin.LOL I had to color corect for the mixed light source and didn't feel like going into more advanced program than picasa.LOL
no.. it was long..but ok.
I stopped to take pics a few times and that keeps me awake.
I also...um... take pics while driving!LOL
that little rosebud mouth..
Yes.. he has Aiden's eyes and mouth. Loren's nose and chin!
I do too once in awhile
he's so alert
I don't actually look through the camera.. I just pick it up and point it in direction and it's fun to see what I get.
I have a Levi in my breakfront..husband gave me a Lladro Shepherd Boy one Christmas and that's what I named him
Yes! I saw him when he was about an hour old on Skype and he was looking all about.
nice. He's Levi Stone
Is that a family name?
And he's just very very sweet.
no
isn't Skype wonderful
beautiful little boy m9,
I can see some Tim and Gage too
oh yes.. in the pic where he's resting against the plaid pj bottoms he looks VERY much like HeWho at that age.
and how does Gage like being an uncle?
oh.. he's not an uncle. LOL
just a good buddy?
not yet. for now just a cooer over baby cuteness. I skyped him while over there and I had Levi on my lap. Gage was saying "ooohhhh...look at the cute widdle baby!" LOL
so he's just like my other boys. Tim and HeWho are also cooers over babies.
he'll teach him all he knows
that baby has a very high coo ratio
and I'm not going to the pb cuz I'm done lol
yes. yes he does!
if you're going to do that.. do a word I don't have!LOL
how long before Loren is finished?
any chance they'll be moving closer?
two years I think
He's having a hard time finding a job this break :-(
your arms must ache to hold them
He's off track right now
or however they say that.
that's understandable
yeah. Other grandma is there right now
But my Gage is pretty cute. So it's not like I don't have youngun to keep me cuddled up.
our first baby was 3 months old before we went home..not like now with Skype etc
yep Gage is pretty cute all right
oh i know! I'm so grateful for skype!
It was nice to be able to "see" him just about an hour after birth.
And cell phones are nice too!
sure are
my Dad drove out to Bozeman to see HeWho about a month after he was born
and for grammar sticklers I DON'T mean after my Dad was born.
lol
has it been decided what he'll call you or are you going to wait and let him decide?
so midwife got to apt and baby came 16 minutes later. How's that?
I heard..OMG
oh yeah.. whatever he says. If he says "grandma" that's fine..
and Aiden was calm??
you heard what?
once she got through transition yes.LOL
that the midwife arrived 16 mins before he was born
ah. I must have already said that. Sorry
you said it at the time..not that you were excited or anything
:-)
I've heard more about what happened since and it cracks me up!
I'm Grandma to my 5 and the other grandmothers are Nana
only our first called me Grandmother..all on her own
cute. is she a very verbal one?
she was ...and still is at 24
yes.. I figured..cause that sounds like Aiden
have you thought of becoming a baby photographer..your pictures are exquisite
I've seen the ones you did of the little girl baby too
thanks! I definitely enjoy taking pics. I just not in a mental place for it right now.. with Gage and all. But someday maybe..
And I don't have the $$ for some of the equipment I'd like to have..LOL
look what you've done with what you have
well thank you.
if only I had a baby and lived closer..I'd hire you
not that I'm in the market for a baby lol
ROFL!
Hmmm.. I could have one still...
Give Levi an aunt or uncle younger than he..what do you think??LOL
that's been done
my cousin's mil had her 14th baby after her 1st grandchild
Yeah.. my Dad had an uncle younger than he. Two of my friends had babies right within months of grandbabies being born
Two that I can think of. Maybe more.
babies come when they do
yup
hmm.. I don't think I'll get 85 in 8 minutes.
my fault for making you talk to me
oh I wouldn't have anyway!
I just love talking about babies
me too!
I love just about everything about babies.
I sure hope they figure out coming this way for the blessing
well shoot i stayed up later than i meant to. might as well stay up for the flip
they bring hope to this world
