i am just now premenopausal..ugh...i get 2 hours tops at a time..then up wiht a sweat... 30 mins later when cool and changed into clean jammies and sheets changed... i go to sleep..am going through 3 sets of sheets a night and washing them every day..its gross...and no sleep ( SOLID SLEEP)

Lillian, thanks to Michael O Leary and Ryanair, he is home every three weeks or so. And when he is home he fights with me, he fights with his sisters and he causes mayhem. And then, I look forward to him coming home again, for more of the same..... ????

One of my older sons is a restaurant manager and my daughter-in-law is a pediatric ER nurse. Those schedules make family get togethers tricky to arrange.
when i worked, i worked in care so i know how hard it is to get together on family occasions and when people work in the food industry it is just as hard so it must be hard for you as a mother, as you want to see them as much as you can but you also have to plan it around your life!
christmas was always the holiday that my mam wanted my brother and me to be home for, but as we both had jobs that had shifts and work all year round, we couldn't both be there at the same time. i've missed christmas dinners but been there for tea and vica versa for my brother...saying that he was more at home than i was!

To cut/copy and paste, hold your left click button down and drag it across text. That will highlight it. Then use your right click button and you will get a drop down menu. That menu contains "Copy" "Cut" and "Paste". Copy your text, to to where you want to put it, right click again and hit "Paste".

. . . you get the medical service, you get the bill, *then* you apply to the same institution to get their free/low cost plan, which I did, and my biill just went away (i have shortened this story a lot here)

people don't realize that they can talk their bills down too...esp. if you don't have insurance but even if you do, just call and ask nicely what they can do, usuallly you can get at least 25% off but sometimes you can get way more.

I would say, 'Thank God for the NHS!' but I won't, since they've managed to kill two of my relatives recently. Even so, the concept is still as wonderful as it was when it was first conceived. It's just the fact that they are trying to run it as a business now, with more managers than carers and helpers.
this is the same hospital where 1) they gave me a CT scan i did not need ($5000) and 2) the staff blamed me for not letting them know my IV was not working properly. idiots!

Lili - did you know that it takes longer to train to be a vet than it does to be a doctor? Doctors only have humans to contend with. Vets have to be far more knowledgeable.

i'm an accent nut. i don't know much about the various British accents but I can at least tell Welsh apart from Scottish apart from Manchester.
and i found one vowel sound they have in NZ but not in Australia, so i can tell them apart if they talk long enough lol
It's so annoying when people don't 'get' your accent, isn't it? I'm from Birmingham UK, though don't have a strong Brummy accent and my other half is from The Black Country. He's so sick of being called 'A Brummie' that we've got tee-shirts to wear on holiday now. Mine reads 'Brummie' and his reads 'Yam Yam' (that's what we in Birmingham call his lot).
