good morning
if anybody is here, I need some naming ideas, R names, preferable Italian and, even better, meaning Red
hi ruby, thinking
it is possible that there is a baby boy chow in Italy and I will see a picture by this afternoon.
Rosso
good one, Chesey. I've thought of Rocco and Rafael (Rafi) or even Rusty or Rex, but, of course, husband isn't satisfied with those
RE 7/32 ... THE ONE RIGHT AFTER THER 8/50 ??
Riley is kind of Irish, they are notorious for red-headedness
Rosso?
oh, already suggested, sorry Chessy
no, that's good, 2 votes in favor!
nnnnnnnnnnn
nnnnnnnnnnn
nnnnnnnnnnn
i was stuck....... did i miss a clue for the re 7 32?
,,
re + masking **** and pt and pl
it is the re 7 32 right after the re 9/50 flosey
re 8/50 that is
sorry never mind
i have it
sorry, don't have the 9
must get to bed, have 70 to finish up tomorrow
goodnight all, just fell asleep right here!

time for bed
darn it didn't even type in a word
wow, half!
but no biggies
ca9, past tense of disgraceful way to exit army
ty, had the not pt form!
or ca7, checkout person
129 words, amazing that I haven't entered any in the chog as I usually do....
I am so nervous, need to take a xanax
this is a day of waiting
en8, en + what is in your puirse, then past tense for en8
great, thanks for those
I was about to give monkeys some xanax, too
re8, re + triangle, square, circle, then past tense, then plural for re8 x 2
thanks Granny = got lots from those clues
st8, small inner ear bone with Emergency Department after 4th letter
hello kazzer
yw kaz, and ruby pass some of those xanax over
Ruby what about Rufus
are they allowed in the PB?
belated - hi all
Rufus was our last red male, he died 8 years ago and Max was his replacement
he was a grand old gentleman!
and we already had one named for GranyR!
<-- not getting the ear bone
what about Rossini
good one, writing it down
okay, runaway horses or cattle minus the double hump letter, then plural letter
and to think, I just read a New Yorker article that said brainstorming didn't work....sniff!
st8 - missing m from the onrush of animals, beloved of Western film-makers.
And good morning/evening all.
hello haz, still trying to find that
The headlong rushes of animals begins with what you put on a letter to pay its way - now take away the m.
aaah, it needed an s at the end! ty
hey ruby, how about rossi....in honour of valentino rossi.....great motorcyclist
Glad you got it, ruby.
this is a nice grid, many builders
and lots of help from my friends!
haz, we are brainstorming R names for the "maybe" puppy in Italy
be back later - nned flu medicine
{{kazzer}} stay warm
I know - I like Rossini.
this spring weather is deceptive
ok, 2 votes for rossini and too for rosso
I like Rusty and Rafi
Ruby, Raphael?
(husband doesn't)
it's after 8pm. need to get dinner ready, see you at the flip, if not before
I was thinking Rafael (rafi for short) hahah
ty dizgrannie
see you later, sweetie!!!
nite all...*poof*
I wish I knew Italian
Bye, grannyrose.
{{grannyrose}}
*poof*
Rats. I missed Ruby. I take it she is getting a new four-legged friend?
I just missed her too. Did she find Max?
I don't know, Hydra. I haven't been babbling for a few days.
No, Max hasn't been found and she is actively trying to get a puppy.
it seemed as of yesterday, ruby hadn't found Max. But, I'm not too sure
Hi Haz & Deb & Hydra :-)
Good Morning :)
She's hoping for a 12 week old which will hopefully be ready by 13th March. Brainstorming sessions (or thought showers) have been used to try to come up with a name.
And hello, Soodle and hydra and debjed.
we had a brainstorming session to think of an italian sounding name that begins with r for her.
oops sorry has didn't read your post. I am not well and am struggling to sit up let along babble today. I might have to give in and go back to bed
Hmm. Then, my suggestion of Paddy (as its close to St Patrick's Day) wouldn't exactly tick many of her boxes..
Poor Kazzer - I've had flu once and don't intend to ever have it again.
The dreaded 'flu, Kazz?
Me too, Haz. I only ever had flu once. I thought I was going to die.
Hope you'll be better soon, Kazzer
well it can't really be flu cos I have had a flu jab which covered most stuff but I feel like I have been run over by a steamroller and my head of full of fluff. this is the 3rd bout of something vile over the last 6 weeks and I had to give in to this one and take a day off.
Husband and I had 'flu over the Millennium - our daughters sat looking at us with disgust and denouncing us for denying them the chance to tell their grandchildren about the rip-roaring time they had while seeing in 2000.
The description 'aches and pains' comes nowhere close to the feeling of agony every time you move.
clue for the 9 please
Ha ha, Haz. I remember that flu. It was otherwise know as the Millenium Bug, if I remember correctly.
ca9 - drummed out of the army in disgrace (past tense of someone who gives you money in a bank)
Jenny was clued earlier - get thrown out of the army - ca
It was grim, Soodle. I remember looking in a mirror and deciding that I could have been a poster girl for the before stage of a miracle medicine for flu.
That's odd. I typed a message and it vanished! What I said was that the only time I ever got flu was after a flu jab and I have refused to have them ever since.
thanks a lot
I now take a homeopathic medicine called Triple Flu Defence. 20 drops once a week from October to May.
Have you heard that the British Olympic committee is advising athletes not to shake hands during the games?
I can't take any stuff other than the tablets I am on - not even supposed to take paracetamol or antibiotics
Yes. I saw that on the TV news. The Queen wears white gloves. Maybe that's the answer!
A virologist has said it's going over the top and I agree. They're going to look like bad sportsmen if they refuse to shake hands.
Oh, poor Kazzer. What happens when you get headache? Do you just have to put up with it?
Husband won't touch door handles etc in shops, he pushes them open with his shoulder.
He gets sore shoulders ...
Well, remember what they used to say, Haz: that we need contact with lots of jolly germs to build up our immune systems. I agree with that.#
Oh, he gets lots of contact with germs!
i usually have to grin and bear it - got some stuff for migraines though which works a treat
'Jolly germs' conjuring up all sorts of images in my head.....
I used to get really bad migraines but since the menopause they've almost stopped. Havent had one in 5 years (she says, tempting fate!).
I think the events of the last 4 or 5 months have left me a bit low. I will start on the oranges and other good fruit to build up my defences again
Yes, Soodle, they're all hopping up and down cackling, 'we're gonna get you!'
My father used to get migraines and as a girl I used to think he was making a fuss about nothing. When I started getting migraines in my 40s, I began to understand.
I wonder if they run in families? My mum and grandma used to get them.
I don't get many now - I had a period in the late teens early 20s when I even had my head x-rayed to see if there was cause but they didn't find anything - then they went away and I have a few in the last 3 years
I think there is a hereditary element in them. My sister also suffers from them occasionally.
My older daughter (28) is now showing signs of having them as well.
hubby is threatening to sleep in the spare room tonight as he said I spent all night fidgeting and coughing and generally keeping him awake
Let him sleep in the spare room, it'll do him no harm.
I agree, Haz.
Nothing worse than a grumpy huibby who hasn't slept well.
no that's not fair - he has to drive 92 miles each way to work so he needs the good bed
If he gets a better night's sleep, it's fine.
Oh, I see.
Eearplugs then. 92 miles... poor man!
So you, the invalid, gets the worse bed? You could always take it in turns.
Kazz... You can be noble when you are better. Right now, you take care of yourself
any clues for the d please
If he were ill, would he go to the spare room and let you stay in the good bed?
I am hoping that this will finally go tomorrow or later today - the rest of them lasted for about 5 days
dj4/10 and dj5/22
Build on the j word
WOW just found a dj 4/10 and 5/22
Plus do4/6 like to give you a do4/5 of medicine
prob not but then he would be able to take time off work, I really can't afford to - run out of sick leave with all the colds I have had this year
thank you all
oopsie Haz beat me...lol
Hello, dizgrannie, didn't know you were still about.
can anyone offer me a clue for the t on the bottom row please
te6/24 and te7/36
It looks like supporters of the stuffed toy bear.
Hey Haz, been back and forth
thx haz
You're welcome, Kazzer.
http://tinyurl.com/8xp5nx5. This is a tribute to my Uncle Louis, whose funeral I attended yesterday. It was a wonderful tribute to a truly remarkable man. RIP Louis.
I'm sorry you lost your uncle, Soodle. We're at the stage now where the older generation is leaving us and it's not nice to be the older ones in the family.
The funny thing is, Haz, Louis was much closer to my age than to my Dads. 24 years separated the youngest from the oldest in their family!
A big family, obviously. But I can understand you feeling bereft.
It's a lovely tribute - and he wasn't old, only 62. My sympathy. You'll probably not be able to take it in for a while.
i was thinking that Haz I think apart from my MUm there rant many relies older than me now - Think I have some cousins in Cornwall
We will all be celebrating my Mum's 85th on Saturday...her 4 dtrs, most of her 9 g/kids and about 11 of her 21 g/g/kids will be there. Because we are all scattered, not all can come, but we will have Skype on the day
That's great, dizgrannie. Treasure her while you still have her.
Is your Mum in good health, Diz?
thanx Haz, I do treasure her, silly bugga broke her hip last August, but is now getting around great with a walking frame
yep Soodle, but it took her awhile to have the confidence to go 'out and about' again
I hope you all have a wonderful celebration.
It's great that she's still mobile to an extent - so often when they have falls like that it shatters their confidence.
Anyway, it's been lovely to chat but I must head off to get some chores done before I go out. See you again - bye for now!
Please don't get me wrong when you read what I am about to write....but my Mum's words are 'Okay, I'll be 85, lets have a wake, that way you say say all the nice things people say at a wake about the deceased to my face' cheeky ole bugga that she is...LOL
And she is 100% right. I always think that its such a pity that people don't hear the nice things said about them at their funeral.
Soodle, we had a celebration for my parents for their 50th wedding anniversary (my Dad was dying at the time) although he was only outa bed for a short time, he said 'it's the best wake I have been to'. He died 3 weeks later
Don't get me wrong _ nothing wrong with me Mums health, shes just trying to see her 4 dtrs, g/kids and g/g/kids all together.
Bittersweet, Diz!! My Dad is 84, and he took the death of his youngest brother very very hard. But its a lesson to all of us...Carpe Diem!
Soodle, so sorry about your Uncle {{HUGGLES}}
Thanks Diz, and in case I don't see you before then, have a wonderful family celebration on Saturday. Must poof now!
thanx, night Soodle xx
Good day folks. Anybody here?

The bottom S is annoying me.

I would trade for a hint for the bottom t...
Share stats please?
Got both. Jewish holiday meal.
se5/12 and 6/21
TY!
ty
Oh, no, I am missing the T too.
te6/24

And plural
Yup! You got 'em!

Good, because I couldn't think of a clue.
or makers of bears???

cute, bo :-)
bye, scrabs!
Have a great day Scrabs!
A couple of BAbble Friends in the grid today :)
sc 6/24 and 7/40....great words!
Whee! Just found 2 8's!
stats please, car.
re 8/55 and re 8/50...same sort of words...different last letter only.
thanks, car.
ty car
I got them both, thanks, car.
thanks, car. morning everyone
Huzzah! YVW!
ty car !
funny how we get used to doing this without lickety.
We have each other!!!!!
I still miss him, tho
Thank God!
couldnt do it without evryone thats for sure . i miss it too annie. so much easier esp with the big ones
the list would put the words in their proper order
OK...time for the bus. Be back in a bit.
I agree ivesy, I know I definitely wouldn't be able to finish without the help of everyone
thats what throws me off. finding the order.. i couldnt finish either pab
I needed 10 more to finish yesterday but I gave up. I was having trouble with the se's order and my eyes said "enough"
i havent been finishing some of them. sometimes its more of a chore than fun
today and last two have had a lot of tough words
ives, it was becoming a chore. I was at it llonger than I should have been. So much for Babble addiction. LOL
I haven't finished in a long time, busy days at work, I just do what i can and enjoy the company
so true, sue
when we get the list back the puzzles will be small and on a weekend lol
ok, off to exercise, bbl!
seems my addiction has slowed a bit
Hi Sue. Don't ask why I'm awake at this hour... don't really know, but woke up. Just got around to posting recent updates, finally... back to bed in a few, to get at least a couple more hours' sleep!
Oh nm... I see you've just left. :P If you see this?
hi neil..ltns
Hi ivesy3. :)
Call me fickle, but I think I'm in love! The new puppy is gorgeous! Now the negotiations and logistical compications as he is in Italy and my husband can't possibly drive that far.
I will try to get his photo on FB or even in here, but I had to buy winZip to see them.....
so good to hear ruby.... heard u were looking for names.... i like rocco!!
I think we're going to call him Ruffino, after Rufus, one of our previous wonderful chows
oh like that too ... strong name
I got a whole list of names from everybody this morning, but Ruffino seems to be the only one my husband likes
he is a square of beige fluff with a black face and evidently, a real charmer.
looked up some pict on the web.. they are gorgeous dogs.. love their faces
our friend met him at the Lake Maggiore ferry and after 5 mins, he was licking her face!
and was letting everybody pat him
I hope we can get him! My poor husband is such a mess!
and he looks just like our first chow, Rosie, from 1990
I'm so happy for you and for Ruffino, who will be getting a wonderful new home :)
except much paler
please keep your fingers crossed that we can get him.....
oh I hope so!!!!!
we will call him Rufie
mb someone can transport him for you.
I liked Rocco or even Rusty, but he isn't at all red, so Rusty wouldn't have been appropriate
there are all kinds of animal transportation teams over here to get dogs and cats to new destinations
it is about a 5 or 6 hours drive and my husband can hardly walk
Ahhh...and a hush fell over the house....and peace surrounded me....
but this would be rural Italy to rural France!!
How are you feeling Car?
hello car. and {{molly}}
I am feeling so optimistic
Hi Molly! Hi Ruby! {{hugs}} to both!
I am better Molly..voice is now stronger...but now it hurts. ugh.
Glad to hear there is some improvement Car. Hi Ruby, you sound excited about your new dog.
Ruby...I am glad to "see" you excited!
does anyone have stats for the 8's?
No, Molly and I are not sitting in the same room...we just type that way!!!! LOL!!!!
I just hope that we can get him. He is so cute; I will try to transmit pix
I have re 8/55 and re 8/50
re8.50....re 8.55
I have an en8/55, sort of a dumb money word
((ruby)) so happy for you and Burt. Ruffino is a great name.
Oooh! TY Ruby!
annie, I may have found our new baby!
and we loved Rufus so much
thanks guys :)
{{Rufus}}
st8/50
Is Molly he4?
oh there she is!
rufus was a great gentleman, handsosme, dignified and lived to be almost 10
Molly? some holy water sprinkling please, today is the day.
*Sprinkles Annie with more holy water*
and this puppy is related to him about 75%
thank you, dear Molly
yes, prayers for Annie!!!!!
Oh Annie! That's right! Sending calm, healing thoughts.....
Annie I have every confidence this will be quick and painless.
I am such a big baby...tooth pulling day today. Well, the last two grids were like "pulling teeth" as the saying goes.
Annie, today has to be a great day for everybody!
Is st 8 a compound word?
and annie's name is in the grid, it must be auspicious!
((((ruby))))
*wishing all a great day and fabulous outcomes*
yes, I saw my last name before
thanks, sue
off to the showers, bbl
Bye dear babblers, see you later
Bye uusue!!!!! {{hugs}}
bye sue
Bye Annie!!! {{hugs}} Good luck today!
aster
sorry
I didn't see a thing deb!
anything good in the PB today?
Th5 is always something good in the PB!!!!!
ty deb. could you put words that i dont have ? :)
any more help for the st8?
LOL Ivesy! And good morning to you!
re st8, as someone said last nite, it looks like a lot of horses running madly . . . minus the m
you look radiant this morning!
plural form
Good morning Une! TY so much!
yw and howdy! :-)
thank you une!!
good morning everyone
I cannot believe the number of Babble names in this grid!
Good morning Mom!!!!
Hi Mom :)
yw . . . and cute icon pic, deb!
good morning, mom!
hello Deb
thanks Une
(((Une))) good morning. Have you had the insurance man out to look at your property?
mom, insurance adjuster re hail damage to car and another one re possible hail damage to roof -- both coming today
I wish you the best of news Une.
thanks, car :-)
I hope it can be taken care of straight away
they've been really prompt about responding to my claim -- in fact, if I hadn't been out of town Monday, they would have already come and gone
that is great Une
sweet icon pic, mom :-)
Another big grid! We are so lucky...I think.
Hi Bichon!
This one moves right along too!
ruby, how goes it
no news on Max, but I think I've found "our"pup, Ruffino is what we'll call him (in honor of our Rufus)
I saw 4 photos and he's perfect!
Is he a Chow?
aaawww, sorry no news yet re Max but that's exciting about Ruffino!! :-)
hello ((Ruby and Bichon))
yes, and he's 75% from the same family as all of our Canadian chows, so he looks very much like our first chow, Rosie, except very light
Can you get him "chipped". Do they do that in France?
I am so sorry about Max, Ruby. Excited about Ruffino
Hi Mom, Une
he is beige with a very baclk face and is perfectly square
{{Max}}
don't know anything about Chows, but he sounds just riht
the big problem now is getting him here as my husband is in no shape to drive 5 or 6 hours
black* face
Can they fly him?
if you look up Mi-Pao online, you will see his blood lines
morning, bichon :-)
where is he right now, ruby?
I think it would be easier to have him sent by truck
he is on the east side of Lake Maggiore
How about a taxi <ggg>
Sounds like a nice ride
and was the first litter in a family, not a professional breeder
whatever it takes, bichon!
can't wait to see pix, ruby!
it would be a lovely ride, but too far for me to drive and I'm not so keen about mountain roads
I want a puppy
Ruby...I will personally volunteer to come and take the ride with you....
me too, car!!
<<filling up Babble Air with gas>>
I will try to put them in my profile (but I'm so inept) or in facebook or will send them to myself in yahoo
LOL!!
I shall pick you up Une!
bags are packed!
we cold have a babble transport!
husband is unresponsive, still heavily grieving over Max
No need to pack Une! Babble Air has a lower level of full wardrobes in all sizes with matching accessories! Just pick what you like!
and Ruby is grieving, too.
puppy caravan!!
Seriously, Ruby, you should have him "chipped" They even have GPS for dogs
I can only imagine the emotions you are both going through right now Ruby. {[hugs}}
wow, car, how accommodating!! LOL
Suitcases are burdensome.
gm, everyone. is there a list? Ruby :-) for ruffino. maybe the breeder will know of a way to get him to you.
It also helps with customs.
Hello Dawg! Wassup!
hey, dawg!
good morning (((LBD)))
the problem with Max was that since he was autistic and, therefore, extremely shy while at the same time scary-looking, he would have been unapproachable, except by us
Wait, have you found out what happened to Max?
hi car, Unea, (((mom))) ruby, bichon
hi dawg, welcome to the grid
no, he just disappeared. Nobody has found his body, so I think he was hit by a car and went off into bushes or a hedge to die. I think that's what injured animals do
hmmm.
<---- now crying
if, by some miracle, he turns up, I will be ecstatic at having 3 chows!!!!
I sounds very cold-blooded, but at dinner time, when I would hand-feed him, I fall apart
I would like to think he was exploring and some one took him in, even being autistic
I don't think he'd go near anybody but us
Maybe, somewhere out there, there is a family who took him in.
I would like to think he found another home, but I doubt it. And then there's the question of his meds as he was on Prozac
true, but it is easier on the mind to think of him in a home and not in the bushes
Ruby, I know what a heavy heart you're dealing with right now . . . everyone wishes they could take the pain away :-(
Ruby, I still think you are underestimating Max. The dog you are describing would never have burrowed through a hole and left his "safe space".
morning Molly
I've spoken with the SPA and local vets, the police, gendarmes and local mairies
hey, molly
mairies?
Unfortunately, that is all you can do.
town hall, right?
sorry, mayors' offices -- every little village has one
and the neighbors have been wonderful, everybody keeping an eye out
He was/is a very large dog and would be easy to spot, even at a distance
love and hugs to you, ruby -- must run -- later, all *poof*
Bye Une!
bye bye ((Une))
hagd, unea
our neighbor, who has Parkinson's, even went out with his two sticks to search the street
{{unse}}
and now I have to go and cry a little; the tension is getting to me
Thank you all for your kind wishes and prayers and I'll keep you posted
think positive and hug ruby
{{Ruby}}
please do, Ruby.
(((Ruby))) take care
have a good cry, Ruby. we love you.
The worst part about sharing your life with a pet....
OK....I need help with 1 O from the bottom left and 1 i from the left as well.
What you play when you bet, Car
(just trying to pull myself out of being sad...did not mean to seem rude....)
you weren't rude Car.
One of the I's is a word for making mad, plural
I have three words that go with that. Then I have 4 words to do with earthy material. And then 1 to do with poetry.
Referring to the O's in my commment below...
Oh sorry, I thought you didn't have any.
That's OK. I just want to finish them up.
earthy material?
When I only have 1 more to get of a letter it drives me a little batty.
od5/14
Earthy color Mom
oc 5/14 and plural....and use alternate endings.
hello Good Enough
Good enough! Good morning!!!!
good morning
Are there 2 OD 5/14's?

I am going to have to come back to this. ... ((hugs)) to all of you
Bye Mom! {{hugs}} to you!

: )
We saw our deer last night! We are now up to 5!
cool!
They have been coming but because it is dark we just weren't seeing them!!! Now that it is lighter longer, there they are !
I can't believe we are going to daylight savings time this weekend already!
I've seen deer too. And the peep frogs are back. SPRING!!
Yeah!!!!
Nono..your jewels are gorgeous!
already sue?! wow time flies!
I can believe it. I live for lighter days.
oh thanks Car.
was in the mid-60s here yesterday, should be again today - 30 degrees warmer than the day before
Thanks to the list, my i's are now down!
We are due for that weather tomorrow!
we are to hit the mid 60's today as well
(yesterday was 30 degrees warmer than Monday is what I am trying to say)
I have mixed feelings about daylight savings...while I thoroughly enjoy the longer daylight...my boys have such a hard time with the switch!
okay now i'm really going to go exercise. breakfast with my friends then off to visit mom and dad. (tough day for WW but I will do my best)
good luck, GE! I know you can stay on track!
Good Enough...do you have your pocket guide to take with you?
Egg whites, fruit, salad....you can do it!
i think we all have trouble with the changeover Car. I wish they would just skip the changes, don't fall back and leave it be
I think I agree with you Nono.
i will refer to my ww points on my phone. that will keep me from ordering anything at panera
And I think with only 43 to go, I am going to have to leave for a bit.
hagd all!
Thank God for the phone ap!!!!
Panera has some good salads, I think....
Dressing on the side!!!!!
And get only half the cheese if possible....
the only problem would be that kids would be going to school in the dark during winter but in today's world where it seems everychild is bussed or taken to school by a parent would it really matter
I had a horrible WW day yesterday, so I am trying to psych myself up too!
Which is the normal time...what we are going to?
lots of kids still walk here but it is dark in the winter no matter how we set the clocks, there just isn't that much daylight
no, what we're on now, car
hi all
we are doing to daylight savings time
Good morning JMC!
going *
OK...what we are on now is the "normal" time?
morning JMC
i like daylight savings time because it is light late at night
hi, jmc!
and yes it is the normal time now, car
If that is the case, my kids don't go to school in the dark
yes now this is "normal" time
OK...yeah...lets just keep it the way it is...works for me!!!!
Now I must really go! {{hugs}} to all! Have a great day and enjoy the sunshine!
bye, car!
bye car
how many words today?
bye car
244
thanks
yw
is it just me or have we had an unusually large number of c words the last few days?
hmmm not something i noticed one way or another
there are certainly quite a few in this grid
nbt but i think the bottom row T words are completely made up
I looked them up, they involve threshing hay, jmc
clue for the middle e please
ep4/6
sea bird
ed4/6
thanks
so how is it going uu? surviving?
barely, still have to have it out with the kid
*sigh*
at the moment we are not really talking
I just need the bottom S for nbt and nbs
no good way to do that except do it :-(
I know
jewish holiday and pl jiving
se5/12 and plural, jenny
(actually the holiday is Passover or Pesach; se5 is the dinner)
he may be hoping you will lay down the law
thanks uu
Well, in that case he will get what he wants - I've written up a short screed but need the time to go over it with him
wtg jiving
and this week is busy for me - normally I have Thursday mornings free but am in bankruptcy court tomorrow :-(
what do the 8 and the 9 begin with?
*double sigh*
there are two re 8 (not that I have either one) and an st 8
well that will suck but at least it will take some pressure off you
A screed. I love it. : )
ty
ca9/72 builds off ca4/5
ty
anyway must run, have a great day, all!
bye uu hang in there
bye sue take care
*strolls to pb*
Sue, you might want to remind him that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
Ah, too late.
Morning all
hi mr bob
Morning, Bob
well i am off to--busy busy busy!
bbl
bye jmc
why even start i can't get 244 unless i call in sick to work
awww pickles, it's not important to finish
unless maybe you are looking for an excuse not to go to work?
its how you play the game? Can't call in having surgery soon and will use up all my sick time
Good morning/afternoon all.
Happy Wednesday, Babblers!
hi,haz
judi
Hello Pickles, Judi.
nice icon Judi
hi Judi,

hi Haz
hi Crossy
Hello, Nono, crossy.
Hi to all Babble folk

howdy nono,haz,bichon et al;)
Hello, bichon. te6/24 and its plural te7/36
te6/24 and pl
hi bichon
ty Haz, nono
my son used to call one of his stuffed bears that when he was young
how about the bottom s
se5/12 and pl
se5/12 and its plural, to rhyme with the previous word(s) clued.
you mean passover
thats the one
I don't know about the rhyming part. One has the double consonant
yes Pickles
Yes, the dinner.
clue for that ca9 pls, not sure which ca 4/5 it adds to
it refers to the money one
ty
i miss Lickety!
:p
Jeff there is a copy of volleymom's list in my profile
me, 2 Jeff
morning people!
morning red!
Good morning, red.
So far a nice grid it seems...
It's very nice, very civilised.
yes much more friendly than yesterdays
Did not see yesterdays so I am glad!
I'm still befuddled by the ca9.
pt of one who takes money
its pt of the person who checks you out at the store
If you go to a bank, a ca***** will help you. Then add pt
Oh. Duh. Blindly missed the past tense.
thanks for that Bichon.
Yes, TY.
help with oc6/24?
pt of the oc5
got it and a gray bottom!
It's a plural for either version of the colour.
wtg pickles
how about help with the j word?
ji4/9
ji 4/9
ty!
has anyone got a list today
one in my profile kazzer
thnx Nono
Are you feeling any better, Kazzer?
a bit - i had some paracetamol and had a sleep on the settee for a bit
Hopefully you'll continue to improve.
I just saw a recipe in the newspaper for peanutbutter cup martinis. I think I need to go to the PB and whip up a blender full. Cure what ails you, Kazz!
that would either be amazing or disgusting
Never know until you try, Pickles!
that sounds revolting - sorry judi but peanut butter makes me barf
Okay. Well... so much for my medicinal offerings.
some flavors should not be mixed with alcohol
but i do like baileys so I might have a baileys ice cream milkshake to make my throat feel better
** don't let Crossy hear you say that about bacon **
bacon and alcohol?
i believe there is a bacon vodka
Idk, bacon maybe the flavor that can go anywhere?
mmm bacon vodka....
knew that would bring you around crossy :)
i have made bacon vodka and when done correctly it is quite delightful
time for work, save me a bacon martini for about 8 p.m. EST
only if you like vodka
will do
bye Pickles have a good day
there are those who do not like vodka??!!! gasp!
good morning :)
still eating breakfast, crossy?
howdy cybernan
Good morning cybernan.
morning nan
nope, not started it yet.these days we do more of a brunch thing before i head to the shop
I like vodka, but it doesn't like me. So sad.
poor judi:(
what about a gluten free potato vodka?
Gluten is not the problem. The alcohol gives me a migraine. Damned inconvenient.
ahh,i see
I started taking Feverfew - which is supposed to be a preventative for migraines. Time will tell. Going to doc on 3/14 - will strongarm him into ordering hormone tests, etc.
95% of all women i know are prone to migraines, they will try caffergot, they will try amatryptalene, then there are a host of 20 dollar a pill meds..i have seen nothing fool proof
nbt, but not seeing an 8 or 9
but the worst of them seem ti dissapate with age
the 9 is ca 9 leading off the money ca4
Well, there's something to look forward to.
***jumping in*** Have you tried a plant-based diet? I've read MANY stories that people have eliminated/greatly reduced migraine pain by cutting out meat/dairy. Just a thought. :)
There is an re8/55 and re8/50.
mest thing that i have found for my beloveds migraines? a dimly lit comfortable room and a half hour full body massage with something chocolate to nibble nice and handy
ty judi
I don't eat red meat and I have very little dairy (milk in the coffee in the a.m. is about all).
going to nothing but grazing is a tad drastic
Mine are primarily hormone related, if ya know what I mean.
god do i know... been married 19 years ya know...lol
brb.
but when she had a full hysterectomy,it did not change the patterns of the migraines to any extent
they had to take everything
I've eaten plant-based for over 4 years now. No real reason but to avoid future health problems, so it's really not that drastic. Daily medication could be viewed as drastic to some. (Considering the potential for side-effects.) Again, it was just a thought as I've seen many success stories.
indeed, remluc, each to their own and i am sure it helps some
I didn't mean for that to sound rude if it did. :)
not all all remluc
i do not bandy words or mince around and it is nice to just speak plainly.no harm or foul:) but i think you could cut off my wifes head to ease her migraine as well as trying to take her cheese from her:)
i think if i tried,i would lose some fingers...
hard to Babble without fingers.. mornin, crossy.. hi to everyone
but massage, releases endorphins, relaxes the muscles, improves the blood flow,so it seems to help many things..fun too!
howdy aloy
Hello, Aloy.
:)
nice to meet you , remluc (-:
so remluc, all your protein is nut based then?
Cheese is a tough one.
she would rather her head cracking open like an egg before giving up the cheese
and as for me? my colesterol is 96!,so you will only take my eggs from my cold, dead hands
seems i have a liver that can process anything:))))
Well, every bit of food celery, carrots, potatoes, lettuce, fruit, beans, rice etc has protein. In fact, a lot of beans have more protein than meat. So protein really isn't something I even worry about.
hi all.
hi m9
96???? or 9.6?
even 9.6 is very high!
I rarely eat nuts - I pretty much follow a low-fat, plant-based whole food diet. :) Please don't call me the "v" word though. :) Too many negative connotations.
2.5 in canadian b.p measure or 96 in american bp measure
the american measure it different cybernan
so,just lafy greens, rice, that sort of thing
oh - that is better -- total or just the ldl?
leafy
2.5 total
that's not high?
i am a lucky boy:)
nope
excellent!
actually a healty 18 year old may have a rate of 2.5
ah. international misunderstanding.LOL
96 american 2.5 canadian
mine is 3.2 total, which at my age is pretty good as well
may I please have stats for bottom t?
it is cybernan my mrs has a 4.2
te6/24 and te7/36
thanks. looking
t 6/24, pl for the te 7
huh. interesting words
Guess I haven't done enough time turning hay!
not seeing that se 8/50
sorry re 8/50
It's just another verb form for re7
nm -- found it -- the plural, not the pt
what does the 9 begin with?
ca
ca
ty
nbs - even had the root!
The only time I remember going for a long period without migraines was when I was getting chiropractic treatments for my back. Fat lot of luck getting that therapy for migraines though.
150 down -- time to get a cuppa
Crossy - I have a Canadian question for you. Is your postal service as screwed up as ours?
interesting, Judi.. combined with crossy's massage therapy for his wife's migraines.. maybe there is a connection between spine and migraine treatment
And by screwed up, I mean verging on bankruptcy, closing post offices, laying off workers and considering abolishing Saturday delivery?
I know, alloy. After all, the spine bone's connected to the head bone.
yes.. now I'm humming
for migraine, watch this lecture. stunning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h7cbBB1 c0IM
Judi, I think we can safely lay most of the blame for postal messes on the internet
ty, rasta.. copied the link for my daughter
I think we can lay most of the blame for the postal mess on Congress, who have recently decreed that the PO has to have 75 years of medical costs prepaid.
Partially, Nono. However, the amount of money the gov. wastes in that department is appalling. Gee, another bloated, mis-managed government run entity. Go figure.
se 8?
There is no se8 - it was requested by mistake for an re8.
hint for the re 8, plz
Re8 - molded anew.
she re8 the playdoh when she didn't like the result
tyvm Judi
I think I've hit the wall at 69.
Playdoh. He was a philosopher, right?
LOL Judi
:)
I have the two re8's. What are the other two 8's?
st8 and en8
one is en8/55 dont have the last one yet
really enjoying this youtube. thanks
st8 is the stirrup bone in the ear.
tyvm Haz
ah thanks haz!
You're welcome.
Phhthph. Not up on my ear bones.
Try taking an m out of the word that means horses/cattle/wildebeest taking off at a gallop (in plural form)
Got the en8, tho.
Ty, Haz. That did the trick.
are there two earbones? st6 is an earbone too.
Well done, Judi.
Add a couple of letters into the body of that st6.
hi all, help with the en8 pls
hi peri.. the email I wrote to you bounced back..
so sorry Aloy. I typed it in wrong. the end should be .net Please try again
used the "oneshell" ... ooh, ok, ty peri
en + another word for liquid money, pt
en8 - got the money for a cheque
ooohhhh the dict says that's the plural.
ty,new word for me
me too
what is liquid money?
money you can readily spend, not invested
What an odd word
your liquid assets (-:
in your pocket
stapede
close, nan
Stick an s on the end and you're there.
lol - didn't work though - must read the clue again
but not in the PB if you put the s in the right box
ty - new one for me
the muscle ends with ius.. used to get them mixed up
just dropping in to note that the post office is a self-supporting agency and doesn't get any money from the federal budget
hi all
missing one o? -- have poetry, 3 strange ones and 4 colours
Hello, jmc.
i need someone to push me out the door to deliver invitations
hi jmc - very interesting.. the USPS with no $$ from Uncle Sam
5 colours
ty haz
Get out of here, jmc. You have invitations to deliver.
haha you are a pal haz
But I'm sure they can wait five minutes.
fun invitations?
I've hacked my way to 62. Gotta throw in the towel. Yes, jmc - no gov. money. However, the bloat and mis-management comes from imposed regulations and policies. Neither of which are efficient or cost effective.
are they all the same color because i only have two of them
They're all the same colour, but with British and American versions.
Okay. Gotta jet. See you kids tomorrow! *POOF*
How many words today? Struggling at 127 now.
Bye, Judi!
well studies show that the US postal service delivers 98% of first class day within one working day of the time it is mailed
244 words.
244 judi
bye, Judi.. hagd
*sigh*
And there's one descriptive of the colour.
bye judi
i tell you lawyers, the IRS and the postal service are all scape goats
bye judi
Chin up, Krysten.
ty haz
I am surprised that with all the french words we see accepted, cherie isn't one of them!
yaba daba doo!
help with the 9 pls
Meaning fireworks, MP?
tried it too, nan.. hi there MPitt.. you are in fine fettle
whoo hoo MP
ca9 - drummed out of the army.
naw....wishful thinking....166 left...just putzin'
jmc i find that fact hard to believe when something mailed to me from 10 miles away on a monday arrives on thursday
it is not 100%
hmm.mulling over your clue, Haz
ty haz
And yet, can I tell you that Anniebrook once posted something to me that got here 2 days later?
Haz that is amazing!
it's those wonderful streamlined postal services that we all keep paying more and more money for
my postman is one of the nicest people I come into contact with almost daily...always a big hello and calls us by our names....such a pleasant chap!
peri, use the person who works in the bank or at the money end of a store and make it past tense.
i looked at all the independent studies for a criminal ca** i had once long ago
It was, Nono, I could hardly believe my eyes.
I must say at least we get Saturday service down here --- and door to door rather than a neighbourhood mail drop
ty Haz
i like my mail carrier too--and I have mailed things from India, Guatemala, etc and that makes you really appreciate US mail!
now off to lunch with a friend!!bbl
You're welcome, peri. You're in the grid. AGAIN!
enjoy peri
but it still cost me over $2.00 to send a birthday card to my granddaughter.
a clue for dummies for the descriptive color please?
stats probably will do
jmc, oc6/27
ty haz hmmmmmm
(Trying to think up a Scots clue incorporating scarlet)
was it an oversized card nan?
oc + not his?
no -- one of those little pop-up ones
ty haz i greyed the o
ty snuffy
(-:
Well done, jmc.
are you looking for the as 6?
yikes that should just be a standard mail rate
okay by all i will try to force myself to deliver invitations--i can't understand why i am so shy about this!
*bye
bye jmc
Are these the invitations to the 'At home'?
bye, jmc.. don't come back until they are all delivered
think we scared her off, Haz
Fireworks will be withheld if deliveries aren't completed on time.
She needs to be told, Aloy.
lol... you told her
not to Canada, I guess -- our mail is horrendously expensive and service is quite slow. It sometimes takes a week for a letter to go from Kelowna to Calgary (about 500 miles)
It's for her own good. Tough love and all that.
hi everyone, finally! a big puzzle on Wednesday!
tadone!! finito! a friendlier grid than the last few.
morning Jen
Hello, Jen.
Well done, lb!
hi Jen
yeah ibd!
hi again, everyone.
hi dawger.. and bye to all. FW send me off to Choreland (-:

ty nono
** fireworks ** and like Aloy I must tend to chores

Well done, Nono, see you again.
bye bye happy babbling everyone
good morning everyone
Good morning, flosey.
hi flosey
hi again all, between classes here
hi sue
whooo hoooo NONO, hagd!
hi sue!
Hi flosey
love your icon lbd
does anyone have a clue for as6/21 please?
as6/21 - comparatively cinderlike
more like fireplace residue
thanks Haz
You're welcome, flosey.
thanks, got it
thanks haz and nan!
yw
and thanks too, nan
yw flosey
hi and nbt
morning josh
i suppose it is still morning, for another 8 minutes at least
ah yes, almost noon in TO
so warm in toronto today, gonna fool lots of plants into thinking spring is in full swing
looks like today will be another nice one, had heavy frost last night
hi josh - still lots of morning left here!
not too bad of a grid today
Time I was heading off. Enjoy the grid and see you again. Bye!
have a good day Haz
bye haz - ty for the help :)
crossy is back for a few more...wow! we have a foretaste of spring today! it is 13c!
lovely crossy, just talking with josh, says TO is warm today
55f..can almost go for a swim;)
i am but 2.5 hr drive north of T.O
wow, quite unusual
actually,i avoid it as much as i can
I lived in North York, worked in TO - loved it at that time but it has become quite a different place
that was before I was married (50 years ago)
crossy is not a city boy
wel,it has indeed changed in the last 50 years to be sure
yes, I have 2 sons living there - Scarborough and Islington
visit at least once a year
*!* ta da *!* -- thanks to dee and nono
i generally only go down for medical issues, sick kids,ST Michaels, princess margerettes
yaa for cybernan!
wtg nan
ty - anyone want clues before I leave?
10 to go here but must stop for shower so hair can
dry
have a bridge luncheon - fund raiser for Planned Parenthood
have a nice afternoon of bridge, flosey - may the cards be with you :)
bye everyone
ty nan, enjoy the rest of your day, golf?
not today - men's day today
ah,
just a lazy day with a book for me
sounds lovely, enjoy
good point to insert crossy,s quote of the day:)
As a child, my number one best friend was the librarian in my grade school. I actually believed all those books belonged to her. - Erma Bombeck
good quote crossy - what a great friend to have so early in life
lol,i also lived in the library
lucky you
we didn't have one and the books at school were quite limited
it was a very small community back then
used to help organize the dewy card files
that's an excellent experience
Ah, what a nice memory, the Dewy Cards.
:( no library is the sadded thing you could tell me in just two works, speak not again or you will utter a single word and make me weep:)
saddest
words
my musing would have more impact if i could use a keyboard;(
must run and shower, bbinb, 7 words to go
you would be reading, waiting, then a teacher or someone else would come to the desk for a book, something from the limited or restricted section and would ask the head librarian if such a book exisited, she would turn to you and arch her eyebrow and that was it,you were off at full speed, powerfull in your understanding of the recently learned dewy filing system and back with the book in question in mere seconds.you payment a smile and perhaps access to the adult section or restricted sections and the shelves filled with worlds upon worlds
lol, shower time for crossy and a tea perhaps
RUFFINO!

buttonman, there is no ac 6/7 combo. lickety's list is out of date. sorry.

Or has said

yw

I am Tired of so many C words in recent grids and today's grid.
Anyone have a list up? Thanks
jacula has one
and volleymomdee
any clues for the st 8?
Oh, thanks!
Good evening!
hi car
Hello again pe4!
got it
I am missing 1 E from the center...although I am not sure I can tell you which ones I do have....
I know er 4/4 definitely came from there....
and ed 4/6....
I have 3 er4
I do have 3 er 4's.
ok
Oh...and ep 4/6 also came from the center...
So, those are the three from the center E that I do have...
I have an et4
I have et 4/6 which is the plural of the Greek letter.
there is anotheran et4/5 a babblet
et 4/5?
yes
Got that one...I guess I will get a list. That will solve this!
hard to tell when there are several of the same letter
so there are two et4?
ah yes found the 2nd one
yes
The ed4/6 is the most bizarre from that letter
hmmmm...there is another ed 4/6
there are 2 ed4/6
both have been in grids before
Got the second one!
thanks got the 2nd ed4.... 3 more Es left.. from last col.
and et 6/18 is the other one I am missing....searching now....
it may take you forever to find that one,car
LOL! TY pe4! Got it!
E's are done!
thanks!
bbiab, 35left
Bye pe4! TY for your help!
back again
Quiet here tonight. The gag order must still be in place.
well i'm kind of here now and then
when's now and when is then?
well, now is now and then is then?
wow who knew?
I'm here, so it must be now?
i am down to 40 and ready for a list. must say your timing is terrific. thanks for all these lists jacs
It's as if she summoned the spirit world! ;)
I'm also off to the pb for posting a grid word.
What happened to licketys clues?
<---Has mad summoning skills
don't we have any other computer whiz's who can come up with a similar program?
Hi Molly, et al.
same here, dorens -- just listed with 40 to go
Knew it Molly.
That would be cool, Dorens.
There's a list in my bio, if needed.
freshly made chicken soup with leeks and dill i can put in the pb for you acula
nono has one too
*passes wine*
hi une, molly, and everyone else
sciencegeek - Lickety hasn't been well and his wife has been redoing the list when she can. In the meantime, many Babblers post list or give clues to help.
hi :-)
Dorens - that soup sounds lovely. Thank you!
i'm sorry to hear about lickety.
jacula i have truly appreciated always knowing i can go to you, and have been doing so
haven't been in for a while, and i was wondering...
have bronchitis again jac, so it was sort of necessary
ugh
sorry about that, dorens -- hope you're feeling much better soon!
Dorens - thank you. That's a very nice thing to say. I can't promise to deliver every day, but I'll do my best. Sorry to hear you are ill again.
Sorry to hear this! I cannot play at work and can pull the/clues so often just fill in from the clue page
have been home from school the last two days... don't think i've taken off in five years. ah well. back tomorrow, no more fever -- just sprained abdominal muscles from violent coughing.
I had thought about doing the normal clue list and then another list with clues. However, this would take up a great deal of time, since I don't have some whizzy program to do it, just my brain and then typing.
I'm not sure I'd have the time to do it, much as I would like to.
so far the grids haven't stumped Jacula, Dee, Mitch, Dart Josh and others we'll be fine
we really need someone with the computer chops to do something similar to lickety... it just takes forever if i can't plug in what i have... not expert, but just the regular clues
ruru - that's good fighting Babbler talk!
i did the beginning of this grid ridiculously quickly, but the rest will take forever
Dorens - all the lists myself and other Babblers put up surely do the same thing, if you're not using 'Expert'?
ruru - Don't forget VolleyDeeMom - she's usually the first to finish and post a list.
no, actually expert was a step above lickety's list, but lickety's list allowed us to enter the words we had and they'd be placed gloriously in order, letting us see what we were missing in alphabetical order
64 Left
Anyway, let's just wait and see what happens. If Dr_God ever revisits his plans for the new-look Babble, the lickety-style list is in there.
has anyone heard anything about that?
Hello to my fellow babblers! How is everybody doing today?
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! Way to go!
Dorens - I don't know much about expert, since I downloaded it but never used it, preferring to do things my own way. But I always appreciated the Lickety (normal) list if clues supplied in the chog weren't enough when doing my final sweep.
Hi Min.
I mentioned Dee Jac.. everyone calls her dee and not volley..lol
Dorens - about the new style Babble? No. Things have gone very quiet on that idea.
ruru - Did you? Oh, sorry!
i don't have expert at home, cause it wasn't applicable for macs, which i have. hi min
mitchdick is usually the first person to finish and post a list actually. dee then uses his list to finish.
I have novice at home doren..
Cos - I'm sure you're right. I'm not usually around at that time.
lol ru
Whatever, we all work together as a world team! Isn't that brilliant?!
ca 9 help anyone?
person who rings up ur groceries at the store, pt
past tense of the lady who rings up your groceries
thanks
who knew
snap dorens :)
ruru - ca9 - drummed out of the armed forces, or think of a bank teller and extend the word.
snap indeed.. there could have been other ways to clue it, a la jacula
Dorens - that's the other brilliant thing about Babbler - you get all kinds of clues and surely one will suit.
there are many brilliant things about babble, to be sure
Dorens, you've gone all 'Irish' now, to be sure. :-)
Dorens, I miss the bulk/add feature. It really helps me with the bigger grids.
yes, that is what i need molly. i just believe that there must be someone else out there who could do a similar thing
Molly - you just need to learn to type faster. LOL
jacula, everyone in usa goes all irish now.. tis the month
Dorens - I know!
Molly do you live in maryland? i don't know why i think that
Maryland Cookies... mmmm!
don't know maryland cookies... have heard of baltimore cake though. or is it lady baltimore cake?
en 6/24 please
en + what you do with a check
nm, did a peri
haha
Dorens - the cookies are made in Britain and not sold in UK. They came from a recipe brought over from the USA in 1956.
enbounce
oh, well thank you wv
pt for the 8
ruru - LOL!
made in britain, not sold in UK. where are they sold?
haha ru. you are in good form this evening
firstsh5/12pls
first sh5/12 pls
I meant to type made in Britain not sold in the USA. Sorry!
:D
makes a bit more sense
no clue on those ch's.. wow
which ones ru. i have them all
peri - sh5.12 sounds like someone who is more reluctant to be in social situations, but refers to a horse that's skittish.
ch 6/27?
like the fast cat. missing a vowel
ty Jac,that gave me FW
bye for now
yay peri
peri - y/w.
i am still mmissing ten s's and have no idea which they are yet
*~*~*~*~*~*~* FIREWORKS for peri.
Yes Dorens, I live in Maryland and I've never heard of Maryland cookies.
ch 5/16 also?
thanks for the ch 6/27?
my son is most likely moving to baltimore this summer
Dorens - sh5.14 and plural or verb form sh6.24 might refer to the orange peel in marmalade or what you do with your junk mail to get rid of it.
clue for st 8?
i love marmalade
ty jac, you were right btw i was missing them
ch plys y*** says the person who lithpth
My Mom was a big marmalade lover. I'm not big on it, but have it once in a while because it reminds me of her.
st8 = the plural word for the stirrup bone in the ear. However, try horses or cattle running amok uncontrollably without the 'm' and with an extra vowel after the 'p'.
no longer like sweet jam as i did before. marmalade and pb are good
I don't get that clue at all doren.. is it english?
haha. i wath trying to be clever. thpeaking with a lithp
I got it. thank you
ty -jacula
Dorens - I always add Jamesons' whiskey to my home-made marmalade. It gives it a kick, even though the alcohol is cooked out.
plys wath thuppothed to be plus however
i acatually have a bionic st6/21 . mine was calcified, and replaced with a platinum/teflon one
and thank you jac, was another i needed
Dorens - I thuppose you think that wath funny?
it did theem appropriate clue for ruru, didn't it?
Terrible waste of Jemmy's Jac
never a waste if she enjoys it
so molly, what do you know of roland park in baltimore???
No, I don't have a lithp. I was just kidding around. Pity crossy's gay air steward joke got lambasted the other day by some 'blow in' on the site. I thought it was funny.
i missed it... was it politcally incorrect? we do have a lot of sensitive folks here
Nice area Dorens.
that is apparently where he is looking at houses
Dorens - I suppose it might have been unPC. Well, the complainer said it contained 'too many gay stereotypes' or something like that.
Wow, very nice. It's a historical area, one of the more upscale places in Baltimore.
Dorens - You'll have to ask crossy to tell yo the joke again when you two are around at the same time again.
So it's definite your kids are moving to Baltimore? You must be bereft.
well, they won't be buying one of the bigger houses. he is going to hopkins, and it seemed to him the best neighborhood. jac, i'll probably live without the joke..
Dorens - I'm sure you'll live fine without the joke.
maybe not 100 % definite yet, but seems most likely. i'll just readjust my compass and teach my car to drive down there instead of cambridge. and i'll miss seeing my sister when i'm visiting
That's a longer drive for you, yes?
I wish my daughter wasn't living in Romania right now and intending to live in Australia eventually. I wish my son wasn't getting skills needed to go and live in Canada and that my stepdaughter wasn't planning to get the skills to go and live in NZ. But, given that the UK gives almost no worthwhile jobs to graduates these days, I quite understand why all three of my kids want to leave the country.
When I'm a pensioner, on basic UK pension - if that even exists when I get to that age in 10 years' time - I doubt I could ever afford to go to Aus and NZ and then take the round the world flight to Canada, or if I'd be healthy enough to be allowed on the flights.
it might be, might not... sort of depends on traffic. i could do cambridge from here in 3 1/2, but if there was traffic it could be an hour or more longer.
indeed jacula. i consider myself fortunate that i can drive myself to visit the grandkids once a month.. comfortable car, and baltimore, like cambridge, is within driving distance
You could take the train too Doren, if you like train travel.
i had learned my way around their neighborhood, knew where to shop, take the kids, walk to phoebe's school. etc. won't hurt for me to learn it all over again.
train travel is ok, but i like having the car while there. may change that in the future
I'm off to listen to the surf and the pebbles on the shore again now (aka Beloved snoring and grinding his teeth). See you all next grid! xx
enjoy jacs, g'night
Bless you Jac, I don't know how you do it.
good night jacula - thnx for your list
darn. missing an re... wish i could tell where it is, don't seem to

that is nice are you planning on just keeping him then?
hi, folks
waiting to see if his feet heal up; he's a bit lame yet.
