LOL! We went and saw a concert today by Celtic Woman (I've always thought it was Celtic Women, but it isn't). They are often featured on the PBS member drives. I was here before we saw it and said I'd report back afterwards
It was a wonderful concert. DH had a sort of half smile on his face (he has a thing for the violin player); but he didn't drool (ruru told me I should take a napkin and a bib earlier)

I am well enough, Nef -- elder kid is dog-sitting and getting a real-li4 example of WHY you keep the house clean on a regular basis ... younger kid had his gf bring him a new budgie for a late bday present, and then the three of us went out and got a friend for the budgie from the same brood-batch. It has been a good day, overall. But I spent most of it in the car... LOL

I buy most of my book at library sales and then sell them back to a local dealer who gives me credit

I have found that some of our prices are less than the library bookstore. They have started looking up the prices and take the highest price even if that is a signed first edition with DJ and they have a ratty reprint.
i have a very small amount of space, so i weed and toss a lot
I keep very few books, i have to be sure that i will one day pick it up again

I have one book that I picked up at a country book store, turns out it is 2nd Edition and worth about $100. I paid $10 for it

I usually give away books that I've read and they don't hold any sentimental value or they don't touch me. But the books I do keep; I don't want to lose

I sell the books I read too. I only keep a few. The floor is now doubling as my bookcase. Yes I have pointed out a few mistakes to them but now I just look for those sleepers that slide right by them.

I rarely get rid of books, when I do I give them to people I know will love them as much as I did -- or if it's a rotten book (only happened a couple times) I give it to a charity that resells things.
i went to an estate sale not too long ago; the good books were in the "general" section and they had pulled out some real crappy ones to put int he "special" section. did i tell them? hell no!
Stid that sounds like our book room, One wall window, one wall book shelves (3 ikea Billy's large ones) all filled with roll playing books and most of them hidiously rare and expensive
I registered about 15 books on bookcrossings but no one ever acknowledges my book :(\
they probably put all those real old Grossett and Dunlaps that are always worth a lot of money since they are old. Noone has registered my bookcrossing books either.
Then you have a cupboard, the door to get into the room and then another wall with 2 billies and my old but ever loved bookshelf filled with books and stuff

yeah, they had really crappy Donohue- and Sallfield-type reprints in the "special" section marked as firsts and priced at $75 and up. i just bought the gems from the "regular" section for a few bucks. Ha ha on them
and of course i will keep a look out for that company's sales in future!

Stid you thought about a loft bed? that is some serious wasted floor space
ceiling in our room is too low for a loft bed, put one in the only bedroom that had the peak of the ceiling where it would work, though -- stidkid #1 has his bed above his desk and three bookcases!
