when did the kidney problem crop up? during a routine MRI ?
no westy, have been in pain for over a week. doctor was treating it consevatively, but decided last tuesday that an ultrasound was in order.
u/s suggested i needed a CT scan to clarify exactly what is going on.

westy, knew there was a problem when after taking extra strength paracetamol and synthetic morphine, i still had pain.
unfortunatelyno. it has a 2 inch multilobal cyst in it. lol. my youngest has already offered me one of his kidneys.

No she is in Texas. I offered to come, but she declined. One of our sis-in-laws had the flexibility to go stay with her through the hospital stay.

That is cute. Even our kids who are bi-lingual get some things a bit wrong consistantly. For instance, the german work for "without" is ohne, it's not a compound word like ours. Our kids consistatly said in German "mitohne" which literally means with-out. I should write all those things down now while I still remember for our famiyl vocabulary book.
I get to go now and photograph my son at his school soccer game! Yea. I don't think I recharged the camera battery....boooo.

Yes, my German is acceptable but I make many mistakes that the dear Germans tolerate. I am always learning though.

MD. But a very good one. She specializes in complex ptsd. She is the one who makes me understand and accept why I am the way I am and act the way I act.
I am glad it's a female doctor. Nothing against men, but I feel women can treat women better.

My brother, the physical education Guru, says an excellent way to combat depression is physical movement and hydration.
I can vote for the physical movement helping (even though I am very limited due to handicaps). Don't know about the hydration, but it makes sense.
I know there are myriads of facets to it, and need s to be approached at multiple angles, but it certainly could not hurt
I know with my condition a couple years ago diagnosed as Fibromyo
Fybromyalgia, movement was CRITICAl and it was the last thing I wanted to do!

it is human to try and avoid pain. But often the only way to heal is to go through the pain. Both emotionally and physically.
nutrition is important. Especially varied food and at regular times. I am a lousy breakfaster and luncher. Dinner is ok, my love cooks and does it marvelously.
Yes, I am pretty sure I need to do a spiritual detox, forgive a lot of junk that happened eons ago and I'm still dragging around....
forgiving is tough, Marmar, as long as you haven't allowed yourself to be really really angry about what happened and let that anger out. It is a step lots of people forget or don't think spiritual. But it is. You cannot let go of something you never allowed to be there at a conscious level.
I just had to look up something I read a while back, three super foods that might help ease depression, it was red beets, seaweed and mushrooms. Sounds tasty.
I don't like red beets, but I love seaweed and mushrooms. Seaweed especially in soup. Good idea!
I like to go to confession, helps me forgive myself and others.

Of course, I like sugared redbeets, probably defeats the purpose!

Oh heavens, sugar is an awful horrible food too, causes SO many health problems and feeds so many diseases....
sugar is ok in moderation, but with the food we eat nowadays, moderation is a far cry from reality.
sugar is my enemy, i am a diabetic.. have to watch carbohydrates too... it is not fun

and he is allowed up for meals and bathroom. The device he will have to hold his head will have a mirror attached so he can watch tv

Bich, I am not into couple slang, so I'm not sure what Bolivia means. The Observer referred to Peter and Alternate Universe Olivia's baby as "Henry". I guess that could have been a short form for Henrietta.
However, in that episode, Peter did refer to the baby as "my son".
Bolivia is an amalgam of bogus and Olivia.
