W did have some traffic dsiruption in Cardiff when the football ws on but other than that and the torch relay, I didn;t really see much
I watched the opening ceremony but not the closing
and I saw some dressage, which was very cleverly done
but that was only because I was staying with a fiend who was glued to it - oh and I watched the mesn diving fial while i was there

oh yes, hi all
hi :) sorry for busting in without a greeting :)
i always do, harry - greetings and goodbyes are so not my thing
me too...drives my wife crazy
well in person i do it more, but, in chatrooms, not so much.
I'm not very good at social graces :)
but even in person, if it's a party or something, i would rather just slip out
in person or online
yay for borderline aspergers!
woo halfway!!!
yay harry!!!
yeah my wife thinks I'm definitely on the spectrum
but I'm an excellent driver....yeah....
oh, i'm only ok at driving.
but at least i admit it.
i still don't get why twas counts, but not twere. what is the difference?
coz it is not "twere the night before Christmas'
gm Hursh & Harry & Carlee
yes but not all words are in that sentence. or even that book. if that were the criterion, we'd have very very few words.
Enable is counting the twas that's the pl of Scottish 2, not the contraction 'twas.
ohhh thanks vi!
hello Vicuna
Hello. =)
aah good one vic
Enable is logical
yaaaawwwwnnnn....Good morning everyone!
hi lynxxx :) how are you hun??
sometimes
morning glory {{hugs}}
Enable is certainly a weird and annoying dictionary, but most of the time when people complain about how "stupid" or "not real" a word is, it's because they don't realize that there's another meaning or interpretation.
tired but good thanks Carlee
Hello Dahling! {{hugs}}
Vicuna!!!!! Hello! How are you?
hi lynxxx, dorens, car. Harry vicuna
I'm ashamed that I know ap6/27 mostly as the makers of Castle Wolfenstien
Hi lynxxx!
how are you vi? how are your twins?
hi car
And hello Dorens and Harry Hood!
hi annie
howdy car;)
Hi Annie!
Hi Hurshy!
hi Car & Annie and all
Spiffing, thanks. And how are you all this fine day?
Good morning Crossy!
eating greek yogurt with fresh peaches and blueberries on the deck, overlooking flat bottom pond. couldn't be better
<whew>! I think I got everyone!
i did almost everything right before work. just forgot to change the AC setting. trying to call my husband to tell him to do it.
and it is now time for crossys tidbit of the day!!!
Oh Dorens! Sounds great!
very yum sounding dorens
There are people who can actually see, smell and physically taste music. This is an example of a phenomenon known as synesthesia. Synesthetes report seeing symphonies in spectacular colors, smelling Beethoven, and tasting Chopin.
Good effort, car. ;)
someday hurshy, your cell phone will be able to do that, right?
I think Doren wins the paradise prize
oh, probably smartphones already can - but i do not intend to get a smartphone, i would rather have a regular one and eliminate one way of big corporate brother watching me.
I saw a science channel or discovery show about that...very interesting. Some are very distracted by it and wish it were not so. I wish I could, one time, SEE music.
gf of mine has a very mind version of that crossy...words have colours..names especially have colours
if i were motivated i would go get the cell phone and take a picture of the view and change my icon to it. i will later. i move slowly in paradise
mild* version...
interesting, indeed. does the music have to be live or can it be memorex?
crossy wonders what is colour is...
not sure amelu
yeah i have that mild thing too carlee. i associate colors with a lot of things - people, music, etc
can youg uess my colour hurshy?
... There was a Russian Olympic champion sailor who when asked what his secret to winning was replied that he always sailed into the "red" wind and never to the "yellow" wind
....a mix of brown and red I would awesome...something of a bacony color....
Hi amelu!
guess
It can be recorded.
<snort> Car!!!!!
lol car
Hi Doseffing. Wow. That is cool.
I've heard of those who see numbers as having colors. But not all of them see the same color for the same number, so it isn't like there's an actual world out there that most of us are missing. It's in the mind - which is capable of creating entire universes of its own.
lol wouldn't your color be different to everyone, crossy?
good morning folks
reminds me of rolling stones tune"she,s a rainbow"
hi flosey
Good morning flosey!
howdy flosey
i love that whole mind universe thing... what is real..is it real b/c its in your head and you "see" it...experience it? <carlee gearing up for school>
hi flosey
... people with asperger's who are talented at computation often see numbers as shapes or colours which simply combine to give them the answer ... ... check out a book entitled Born On A Blue Day
I was talking about you last night carlee....
Hello, flosey.
clue for first ni7/28
I am watching a Hungarian musical - made in 2009, set in the 50s - odd
will have to remember your tidbit as a proof crossy
oh oh...what did i do car?
Hi Matches!
:)
Very odd lynxxx...is it any good?
matches - a club of sorts, open after dark
howdy matches
almost a spooky evening matches
good morning eveeryone
My friend Matt was talking about the courses he is taking this semester and philosophy came up. I told them about you and that you share your interesting notes with me!
ah..ok... well this year should prove interesting...equiv of 5 full phil courses for the year ( 4 half courses each term but one is an accelerated full credit 1/2 course each term
no - very corny - looks like it is aimed at a teenage market and yet has older sleazy types in it
hmm, not seeing what can be got from the last R that can't be got from the R to its left
what kind of philosophy is he taking?

Done.
when you stop working
i have sm9, anyone have the other 9?
woohoo annie!
well i guess annie does
Yay for Annieb!
Wahoo! Congrats Annie!
Congrats AnnieB!
pr9/66
pr9
pr9 is a plural
weird or normal?
the other R is re6 - when you stop working you do it
Weird
clue please then?
(why don't more people ask weird or normal, i wonder)
pr9---not amateur, small hat, not outs
Not amateur + last part of the daily supplements people take
rawther subjective, don't you think, hursh?
ty both
TY!
there is a grey area, sure, but on either side of that there's some black and some white. :)
may I have a clue for bi7 please
Thanks for the pr!
itty b****, but more so
Well since that word deals with the spermatic fluid of salmon, I think weird covers it.
pr8...dictionary says aqueaous nitrogen substance in salmon spermatic fluid
agreed!
bi7, sounds like an Italian hair holder or a James Bond gun....clues from before
... bi 7/36 ... sounds like a brand of hand gun ... or an old tv detdectdtive show ...
have that one, didn't realize there were 2
oho, i need to figure out this gun one
bi 7/36 ... comparative meaning a whole lot smaller
that'll be it dos, not familiar with guns
The gun clue isn't flying today.
ty for the bi - both of them :)
Or, for more girlie types, sounds like a hair clip with an extra vowel at the end.
we are not the NRA
I must be on my way, bye dear babblers
but thanks dos, and Vicuna, looking
robert blake show would do it for me
bye Annie
... yeah ... but you read James Bond novels ... Bond didn't like this type of gun ... he thought it was too much of a ladies gun ... he prefered a Walther PPK
Bye annie! Have a great day!
old tv detective show, mmm... columbo... kojak...
i do NOT read james bond novels.
... had a white cockatoo
Oh, according to James Bond then, the gun clue *was* a girlie clue! lol
robert blake
It was a model of Chevrolet at one point too
have never read james bond
lol
macmillanandwife - there's a ma16
bi + the end part of the word for small opera
aHA, i HAVE heard of that kind of gun
that did it Molly, thanks
i thought harder about the hair clip, that got me to it.
... sorry ... it's the 70th anniversay of Dieppe ... and there a new tv documentary around here about it ... seems Ian Fleming was in on the planning
that's the kind of word that gets folks talking about stupid words, which is pretty silly, as Vi said. just cause we don't know the word doesn't make it stupid
nothing to be sorry about
Stats please for the lone E in the fourth column..thanks!
i still think is so cool that ian flemming wrote chitty chitty bang bang...and..that broccoli ( of the original james bond movies ) directed that movie too
Again, a hat worn by ecclesiastics falls into the "weird" category.
eg4/6
weird and stupid are different, though
Oh! That villain in Chitty, Chitty Bang, Bang scared the be-jesus out of me!
some words are stupid. like "psst" and "brrr".
TY!
agreed. i am quick to point out weird words myself
The Child Catcher, every kid's nightmare.

In some restaurants they are served as a side for breakfast!

I'm guessing that's a New England thing, makes sense.
just because i always have peanut butter and a banana on a potato roll doesn't mean anything.

I can't tell which one i have?

You've read through the "help" pages up above chat I hope? The place I always refer newbies to is down below the tile stats area, there is a "Friends of Babble" list and I like to tell newbies about "AngelSongs Babble Page" for easy info
Awesomeness, thnx Nef!
And then when we're referring to "the list" we are talking about "Licketys Babble Clues" which is also found down there
2 more po6/24 and pr6/21 any help?
help for re7,56 please?
use the scale again erda
sorry, steve, I don't have them (but am looking)
Thank you, Steve!!!
pr6/12 is the stuff you get in muscle-building powder, minus the last letter
tks andrew now just he PO6
Steve, po6,24 -- it says it's a word for a man whop serves customers in a tavern. Better definition: Man who enjoys pot...
thanks andrew

tks Erda! now its fireworks!
YAY, steve!!! WTG!!!

pr8/9= not against + another word for beret + not out

oh, I'm very well thanks, Sprite! :)
not comprehending meaning of numbers in clues, brief explanation? my apologies for interrupting
ooh, fireworks
am glad, andrew :) And WTG!
first number is letters...
second number is points
hi Plurb! Pr8/40 means: a word starting with PR, in total 8 letters long, worth 40 points. Pr8/9 means there is a combination of a Pr8 and a Pr9. Could be a plural, for instance.
hi sprite! I'm glad you're well and on vacation! Sounds fun!
hi gemini
hi Nef :D It is!
mate
sorry.... PB here I come.
hi sprite
where are you, Sprite? :) apart from the PB...

Hiya nef, how are you? Been looking for that new ER MD...LOL...haven't been down there in awhile
THinks it's eg4/6

well then much as I like your icon, I hope you don't have it up for too much longer!
although I suspect you will :(
LOL...have vested interest in gay marriage, youngest may be my only hope of being a grandma...he's got to find a nice guy...
that's the right word, Jilly
yes jilly it is - thnx - halfway, NBT and NBS
hi teach :) Good job.
I know that this sounds bad; but I really wish that the politicians would get out of people's private lives and get back to building up this country and its' economy!

au revoir, Une!
bye Une
all good here Stid and you
ah, so much to do when little ones leave after a long visit!
poor bugs will be cleaning up after us for weeks, I fear...
I meant I'm back working at the prenatal clinic. I resumed the title of Nurse Manager about a month ago; but the clinic manager (not and RN) changed things enough that we couldn't find stuff for clinic last week when she was suddenly ill...
can anyone help me get that E on the far right? my last blank.
creepy, stiddie
oh!!! *astonished and amazed mama look* work is a good thing, I hope - but wow.
scary, stid (babblet)
oh geez... *facepalm* *headbang* *rolls eyes*

re5/14
hi sue! Are you headed my way now?
hello erbody
hey sue! where you at today?a
I'm with Jillibus, stid!
pr + **B (where you place bets) and Idi ****
LOL thanks Good! I am feeling a little out of it since I haven't been able to babble very often the last few days.
oh what fun! Doesn't she have a lovely home? Her island is one of my favorite places.
The pr words have nothing to do with berets.
sprite the pr8 is not amateur and the end of your one-a-day pill
and I'm not sure exactly when I'll head home, nef, it might be a bit of a dash
thanks for those Good, now I also have NBS!
I'd love to meet up with you, sue, even if it's only for coffee....
*feels really stupid* Can't find them... I get the start, of course, but the rest is not clear for me... does anyone have a def? Please?
sprite, vi***** C, D and E are necessary for health
hello everybody
wonderful, thank you all!
hi ruby :) *hug*
it's been over 100F here for 3 days
that would be fun, nef! Can you email me your phone number? My email is uusuzanne at yahoo dot com.
{{sprite}} have missed you
sprite: An amorphous nitrogenous substance found in the spermatic fluid of salmon. It is soluble in water, which an alkaline reaction, and unites with acids and metallic bases.
very nice clue, stid. My clue was much clumsier.
hi ruby!
hello ruby -- sorry it's so hot for you.
And with that; I need to leave
Hahaha...definition...substance found in spermatic fluid of salmon...hahaha
hello sue and nef and stid and kate and molly
brb phone
lolllolllolll.... ok thanks Kateq! I would NEVER have gotten it from the def, LOL
BBL! BYE!
you must have made that up, molly
bye nef! email me!!
Nope Ruby, it's the real definition. Leave it to Enable.
I worry most about the dogs in the heat
bye Nef!
it is crazy hot, isn't it, ruby
and it was too hot to come down here before now
hottest in the 15 yrs we've been here
nd no screens, of course, aircon only in the bedroom
okay, Mother is awake and ready to go! I am going to take a few things over to her place (we were too tired last night to go through all the bags we brought home).
No air conditioning Ruby?
bye stiddie, tell her hi from me, and a hug for you
see you-all again soon, and sprite, hope you're having a great time and return home rested and happy. *choclits* *poof*
only upstairs
and it's impossible to close up the whole house with the two dogs
bye, stid! Say hi to your mom!
I shouldn't complain because it's evidently been this hot in big swaths of the US for most of the summer
That's awful to be confined to one room.
the dogs and I spend the afternoons in the living/dining room and kitchen with the door open
we have AC in the car, grin. Not in the vacation cottage and not at home.
it's really not so bad, we just stay out of the sun
it has been awful here, ruby, but most people have air conditioning - must be horrible over there
how is your husband, ruby?
and the tomatoes are glorious
he spends his time in the aircon
mostly sleeping and reading
Really? My tomatoes suffer when we have too much heat.
good for him. Is he healed up agai?
the potager get some shade in the afternoon, so it's perfect. But I have to water in about 20 minutes
more or less sprite
and there are a million blackberries
I should come over and help you pick...
you'd die of the heat
nah, I'd do it early in the morning then.
*Had to look up potager*
sorry, old pretentious ruby! blushing
ruby is not pretentious and not old
and my God-planted sunflowers are taller than I!
Oh, I bet the sunflowers are beautiful.
I'm just posting lots of photos from our Babble meet-up on Facebook; right now they are going on my profile (as that's the easiest thing to do from my phone) but I'll put them on the Babble page and on Flickr soon.
I've never grown them before and didn't realize that they sometimes get many flowers on one stem
Can't wait to see them sue. Hope I've friended you on FB!
must look that up as soon as I am back. Did you all have a grand time?
hiya CcJudy
and you can see the Fibonacci spiral face-to-face!
I think sunflowers are a wonderful addition to any garden.
we had an absolutely fabulous time, Ciocia, and Jillibus refuses to let me leave :-)
Howdy Sprite!
Love Babble get togethers
I've been to two here in the East
ohhhh am jealous... want to meet jillibus IRL too :)
they are all in a cluster around a stump where we put big stones and lots of dirt
both she and her home are lovely, sprite!
<----Knows what a Fibonacci spiral is : D
<-- knew you would
and bugsaw arranged lots of activities for us; she also got a huge fresh salmon from the docks for our Babble dinner
wouldn't mind meeting you either, grin. Ah well... later, when I grow up, and have money to spare!
she and stidmama made a babble cake but I have to edit the photo before posting it, as it is upside down
But now I want a petite potager : )
what will you grow?
I have one, Molly, in huge pots! Quite managable
and it works fine
sooner or later I will come to Europe, sprite, and visit you and Ruby at least, and hopefully a bunch of people in the British Isles as well (must save a bit more first though!!)
Actually I already grow most of what is in a kitchen garden. Herbs, salad greens, tomatoes.
you know you're welcome here, sue
oh that will bve wonderful, uusue! You will be SO welcome!
I grow herbs on the deck next to the kitchen where I also have potted flowers: geraniums, kalanchoe [sp?], etc and where I can water them easily
the potager is in the bottom of the garden and it is difficult to water
good night everybody, time to water
night, ruby!
bye ruby, hugs for all of you there
back, it's cooled off as the sun has set, the only bad thing is that many of the fish in the pond are dying, all of a sudden. more than 20 so far, the biggest ones

cold?? it is 65 degrees here and beautiful:)))
we had a wussy little front that took some of the humidity, but it was still 77 at the crack of dawn, and got into the low 90's. I need MORE! ;)
hehe,i do not even turn on the heat in late fall untill there is a scrim of ice on the water in the toilet bowl:))
its 72 here, and 93% humidity, I am in long pants, I am so thin blooded now.

HOWDY WHT

No need to shout crossy. :^)
I bet if I whisper bacon, you will stell hear me.
hi wht.
I for one will wait for the price to come down a wee bit before attempting space travel.
I have to admit, I am fascinated byt Space. If there is ever an opportunity to try living up there, I'd jump at it...
clue for po6/24....please
A male Rastafarian?
ty wht, I always forget than one.
Me too! (on the space thing)
aeb, po6, compound word. cooking device + male.
oh for goodness sake..... another word for a marajana smoker!
or one who works with clay.
ha ha - rasta m3
Someone earlier today said that actually it is an old term for a barkeep.
Heyas kids ..
hi torgone and everyone
Hello Tor
Het red, do you want to know how to type a "z" without the "z" key?
speaking of rasta, did y'all hear of the death of Ethiopia's president?
I do torg...
other than copy and paste.
use the s key? or the 2?
Do you have "Num Lock" and number keys other than the ones above the letter keys?
I actually dont, its a laptop.
Mab, I did hear about Ethiopia's president.
Some laptops have them embedded amongst the other keys ..
Dual function keys as it were ..
it might be there...there are a lot of keys...
worrisome for that region: somalia and eritrea
Well, Somalia can not get any worse, really. but Eritrea, has a special place in my heart.
why red"
?
I worked there for a while...
Somalia just cant get worse, that place is already just a scary place...no law.
how interesting. my ex studied there and we have a bunch of eritrean friends, some of whom fought in the war for independence.
somalia, very recently, has shown some improvement.
I just want to thank all of you who have supported me in my dilemma the past few days. I appreciate all of you!
parliament forming
It was my first trip to Africa, we did a ton of prostate surgery, not that exciting, but when you can not go I suppose it is.
Hi science, I did not know you had a dilemma.
You know who you are.
i'd say yes, red, definitely.
big one involving cps and grandkids.
Mab, I have so little hope for Somalia, I know it is negative, but...heck, I kind of feel the same way for South Sudan.
anyway thanks
some of the pirates have pre-printed 'to whom it may concern' cards now. very civilized.
You have friends here Science. Feel free to lean on us when you need some understanding.
I just can not imagine trying to have a life there...
eritrea now has the opposite situation - too strong of a government. even the eritrean torch bearer in London defected during the Olympics. people pouring out of there. so sad.
Has anyone else noticed that a lot of these words seem to have a stutter at the end?
making for some odd words, yes.
Well Wht, we can't say they are weird words. We got spanked for that today. : O
Trying to get to 100 words. Hard on this grid. Hello to all.
Hello all...hi stidg, molly, mab, wht and red!
Hi jillly. Too many eles I think in my right ring finger today.
hi jill and stidgmere
I am not surprised about Eritrea, it was very heavy handed when I was there... I now have a few other places to compare it to. The only African country where I was arrested...
Certainly there are fewer strange words today than in some recent grids.
Here to clue if needed...
for what?
Hi mab.
bi7 the first?
ti6/21...was laughing hyserically when I found it!
I was taking a photo, and while taking it, a police officer on a bicycle rode into it. It was entertaining
only because the police did not know what to do about a digital camera...they could not take the film..
But luckily one of the other surgeons is kind of a big guy there and came in a few hours and removed us...
for heaven's sake. lucky you weren't disappeared.
shirl: bi7= a type of head wear....sounds like a type of weapon
Personally, I think it's okay for people to think certain words in the grid are strange. We don't all have Mensa level vocabularies.
bi7, sounds like a fast car or a hair clip
It was more annoying than anything, but, when I look back on it, maybe I am lucky. that was a long time ago, right after Independence. You would go into shops and people were not sure how to spell the name of Eritrea. I think its different now.
thx wht
and jilly
TY wht!
oooh I have to go to bed. Nice chatt with you mab...and very sorry everyone else for the paralell conversation!
Niters red...sweet sleeps!
night red. sleep well.
no biggie...good night red! Enjoy the cooler air tomorrow!

hi everyone!
All of us make quite a clueing team...maybe they'll make it an Olympic sport!!
ty everyone. I was being dense. I was trying to find something through the sometimes vowel.
My mistake today was forgetting there we4/8 two G's!
would that be a team sport or individual, Jilly?
Fireworks
Babblers would have to be a team!!
Yay wht!
whooo hooooo WHT!!
WooT WooT WooT wht!!
Yay wht!
hi torgone and dawg!
It could be like gymnastics, with a team competition, the all-around, and individual events for the various types of clues.
Great idea wht!!
oh, i like your thinking, wht
points awarded by the difficulty of the word and creativeness of the clues?
There are the directional clues, the h****n letter clues, the synonym clues and the bad pun clues.
typo's could be bonus points! lol
Leave it to babblers to make a game within a game!! :)
Extra points for successfully cluing 13 letter units of ancient currency.
or reading THRU typos!
And for Minv...grid short stories!!
My specialty is clues that only make sense if you already know what the word is.
lol, wht!
mine too. :D
but I'm down for the team anyway.
I think Min wins the Babble Pulitzer for her stories.
it's fun to read her stories and how she's able to incorporate some of these obscure words.
Haven't been on with her for a few days...hope she's okay
And she also would win Miss Congeniality for her welcome to the grid!
yes, she's always so friendly
in7?
A number, shirlock.
a math term, shirl. we had it in the grid yesterday or the day before.
Actually we had a related term the other day.
got it, thx
oh, that's right. memory is a bit froggy.
I missed a few grids recently. Gone over weekend, and my rule is no Lickety, no Babbling...LOL, really need that list at some point every time..
It is funny how words will show up a number of times in a short period and then disappear for long stretches?
brb...gotta move sprinklers...
I could have used in yesterday for sure, Jilly.
it's sort of like that think when you hear a word you never knew before and then you hear it a zillion times.
i'm just glad there are so many really smart people who finish the grid and post lists in their profiles, when lickety is missing.
When I come across a word I have never heard before, I know I am in Babble.
like pr8/9?
Exactly, lbd.
other than an ichthiologist, who would know that word?
Are pr9?s nutrients that are no longer amatuer?
Hello all! Not babbling, but just wanted to quick stop by to say hi. It sucks going back to work with no time to Babble.
i was just wondering if you were back at work, Min.
Figures, the one day I can't babble and Lcikety's list is back
File a grievance, Min.
Anyway, up early again tomorrow! Hoping for small grid so I can babble tomorrow. Goodnight all! I will see you later!
Good night Min
*POOF*
night min
Time for me to go as well. Good night and happy Babbling.

hey all!
hi stid!
hey flask
oh thank you!
bye harpjane
hey onpaki
hey flask -- how are you today?
am well thanks Stid...yourself!
hey stiddy, flask
sorry, wandered off... hey grannyrose
Hiya Grannyrose!
I am back from the West Coast Babble Meet (at Bugsaw's on Vancouver Island), and it was FABULOUS!!! (so I am tired... but happy)
clips leash to stiddy's collar, now sit, ma'am. i needs to ask your advice.
yes ma'am grannyrose.
i'm trying to come off the oxycodone SR, but knee becoming really painful and stiff by mid AM.
oh boy
question...in your opinion is 8 1/2 weeks too early to let my AM dose go?
I don't know what is in that, (narcotic + regular painkiller, right?) and I am not a medical expert.
oxycodone = synthetic morphine.
My personal thinking is that if the pain is bad enough that it either slows you down or alters your mechanics of movement that you need to stick with the medicine.
you should never come these things on your own.....
exactly how i felt, just needed the validation.
It might be possible for you to use just the regular painkiller in the morning, but I would definitely talk to your doctor before changing anything.
flask, still have fast release oxycodone if pain becomes too bad, and still taking SR paracetamol regularly.
There is some interesting new research that indicates that when a person is taking narcotics for pain that they don't usually become addicted. MOST people.
I have heard from docs that if you have painkillers you need to stay on them on schedule so the pain doesn't get ahead of you. It takes less to keep the pain away than it does to knock it back. And that is what I have found with my stupid hip.
neither GP, surgeon or physio will give me an opinion as to how long i will need this stuff. so frustrating!
but again, I am not myself an expert on anything but my personal pain (and teaching -- I am actually pretty "up" on teaching stuff... )
pro8/50 please?
They won't say, grannyrose, because every person's healing is individual.
andpro8/45 please?
pr* (in favor of) + vi***** C, D and E are good for you
oh, that is for the 8/50. I don't have the other PR 8
you can plural it for a 9, though...
8/45 is a basic food catagory
the other PR 8 is plural of meat and bean component...
pro + sounds like an adolescent, pr7, then plural for pr8
ooooh. rastapopulous! :-) good evening!
hey ras!
Hi! getting a few more in before flip
oh, and forgot to tell you all, got a full clearance from cardiologist yesterday. you should have seen his face when i told him i had lost 32kgs.
I am only down to 54... we are having so much fun eating home-made ice cream
WOW!!! *bows to grannyrose* you are making AMAZING PROGRESS!!!!!!!!!!
yumm-eee!! what flavour/s did you make?
plain old vanilla... my favorite homemade flavor! :-)
And then stidkid made a ganache (choclit) as a sauce
*ducks head* aw shucks!! but can't take all the credit. pain is a really great appetite suppressant.
yay stidkid...move over you lot, granny coming through.
* swan dive into home-made icecream and ganache*
that's true grannyrose -- and limited mobility makes it harder to reach the secret candy stash... :-) LOL so much for the slimming down!
oh, dear, did i do something rash? all this talk of vanilla icecream and choclit ganache has quite gone to my head.
a moment on the lips... *grin* I was about eleven when my wonderful aunt Claudette (I think it was her) said that
so. bored. btw congrats rose!
hey cos! *serves more ice cream*
LOL, hubby has found a new incentive to help me do my daily walk. half way round block is a choclit shop which makes the most yummy hot choclit.
down to 45 now
PERFECTO! I am moving to your house if I ever have joint replacement.
yay~ yum!
hey cos
and you had an aunt claudette, stiddy? what a beautiful name.
still have, grannyrose, married my uncle. She is an elegant, wonderful, (very smart) woman.

hey bethn
ack. STILL stuck with 45 to go
hi all!
oh well
wonder if there is something in the name? it conjures up an image of elegance
could be -- my real name(s) are pretty inelegant. But PERFECT for making messes in an art studio and garden.
And of course the occasional culinary excursion
like home-made vanilla icecream and choclit ganache....now where did i read that before?
oh! 44...
*grin*
ever feel like a conversation is going in circles?
I am a plain-vanilla person for a lot of things. Although I have been known to really go ape for a good pecan pie.
*serves more ice cream*
every hour of my life, rose
almost flip...
oh, stand in line girl...pecan pie......
