Well, I use the internet ordering for all the household goods, canned goods and soda & juices. That stuff is heavy to pull in my trolly. I go to the store for the fresh foods.

I think it might be workable, Dianne! Just called them and it seems things are indeed a lot better now. If we could place the order on saturday, they would deliver on Monday and I think I can make a list for stuff we need for 4 days.
That's great. Also see if you can give 1st and 2nd choices for some products. Stock up on the household stuff, canned goods and other bulky things that won't expire any time soon. This way your shopping trips will be shorter and more fun.

I can drive, but I get panic attacks in shops. Actually, today I had 3 of 'm just trying to get out of the house to go shopping. I am thinking it just is not worth it. I DO go out. Just not to places with many people. Maybe I should be content with that and not push myself to go shopping.
They even have pick-up points here so you can drive in and collect - and avoid delivery fee. That would be good if you are working and no-one home

:( So sorry, hun. Great you are seeing your doctor. It is important to find out what got you so stressed you are having panic attacks all of a sudden. Also, from my experience, for what it is worth: try not to panic about the panic. Just accept it is a panic attack, keep breathing, and know that it will pass.
lol @ brain! Sure you do. Like standing in a shop and needing to make a choice, and just standing there... sweating, panting, staring, and not choosing!

Une, trust me: been there, done that. That is why I wanted to tell you. It really helps to accept the fact and not panic about it.
for some reason, hormones in your brain are going haywire all of a sudden. That is all. You just have to sit out the ride, let them settle again. They will :)

My therapist gave me a card with these coping tips. They take some practice but have been helpful. Coping With Anxiety and Panic 1. Remember, feelings of panic are just exaggerations of normal bodily stress reactions. 2. Sensations are neither harmful nor dangerous - just unpleasant. Nothing worse will happen. 3. Anxiety is temporary. Instead of fighting it, relax into it. Just let it be.* 4. Focus on facing the fear rather than trying to avoid it or escape from it. 5. Stop adding to the panic with frightening thoughts of where panic will lead. 6. Stay in the present. Be aware of what is happening to you rather than concern yourself with how much worse it might get. 7. Notice that when you stop adding to panic with frightening thoughts, the fear begins to fade. 8. Wait and give the fear time to pass. 9. Look around you. Plan what you will do next as the panic subsides. 10. When you are ready to go on, do so in an easy, relaxed manner. There is no hurry. 11. Think about the progress made so far despite all the difficulties. *Breathe
