Sleep well, Jan.
Good night jan...sleep well :)

i spy something noble in the grid.
I've got to get to bed, I need to get tucked up while Dh can still help me up the stairs. And he toddled off at least fifteen minutes ago.
ok jan -- gnight and good luck
I couldn't find a concrete answer on the ce 5.7
Thanks, jilli! And enjoy the grid tonight--I will be back in the morning to take another crack at it.

Oh sory, Jilli..my bad.
nbt. that solo e is a little bit of big
no bad, zooz
short giant :)
some former spouse are wretched ----
spouses
Sorry to be confusing. One is is a little bit big, and the other refers to the wretched, sound-wise.
en5 start to spell another word for really big, huge.
yes, ex4 was quit easy -- in the en 5 the little bit of big??? If so, I'm still baffled. Thanck as a plank, moi.
grimed
ooops
no jelly for me, just the PB.
ok, gotcha zooz -- tyvm
yw :-)
ty melon.
nbt/nbs...must try to get some sleep
Night/Morning everyone :)
Sweet dream, Smores..might see you here later on.
gnight smores
can sombody give a fun clue for un12 or do I have to go to morewords?
All i know is..if you got the ge10 you will get the un12.
sort of a loss of status
well, I don't have the ge10 -- nothing bigger than a 7
Am I the first to say that the fu7 is not a real word?
oops, just got the ge10 (ty smom) therfore the un12 and nbt :-)
jilli, ge10, male + ***le, a gun + i l***, didn't tell the truth
No, Freep you are not..lol
ty granny but I beat you to it, lol!
hi freep
yay, jilli, well done
hi, jilli
YaY i to have got the ge10 & un12..thank you, sammysmom & Rose.

Hello, Hurshy.
Good going.
yay, hurshy, nice job
hello
it's not so much yay as ack, no more easy 4's!

what's the other 10? besides ge's
Congrats, RURU!
RE10
ugh
oh for goodness sake, i thought tr7, big ship was in the grid...then thought it was a phantom...but oh no it's there, just found it. lol

Bye, Jilli.
congrats, ruru ...*repoof
mo9, hurshy
mo 9 hursh
you'll be shocked when you find it
related to mo8?
no
no, a word on it's own. mo4 like shocked embarrassment
ty
re10 is the re a prefix
yes
yes hurshy, re + let someone know about something
ty
gee, g is hard. even with the 10s and 12 i still have 6 missing!
hurshy all 4 fi5 ge's start with the same 5 letters
ok well i have all those then
wait
same FIVE letters?
going to head out and take all my nonsense with me
then the next 4 start with the same 4 letters
Take cAre, RURU.
lol, hurshy....FIVE!
ok ok got those
that leaves only 2 then :)
night, mate. hope you can rest well
hurshy you are too brainy
huh?
how do you figure that
this game is too easy for you
gr x 5, hurshy
no tisn't
yes..tis
i'm not even the best babbler
if it were too easy i wouldn't play cause i'd be bored
no you aren't.. but you are one of the very best
now, tic tac toe, that's too easy
now, now, you two...do i have to put you on the naughty step? ruru, i thought you said you were going to bed?
naughty step?
sounds kinky granny
torg is in the grid.
any trek fans here?
not me
i have a funny story.
well spock up then
lol, ruru
:D
go for it hurshy
my sister and i play this kind of online pictionary at isketch.net, and she does not know trek but i am a fan and she was drawing a klingon saying something to a starfleet officer and it turned out she was going for resistance, as in resistance is futile
if you do not get it, this is funny because it's the borg that say that, not the klingons.
*deadpan*
oh, dear, hurshy, what a blooper!! lol
Can someone please give me a clue for un12?? I am getting so frustrated!
when a neighborhood is becoming more upscale, it's being ge10. so i guess if it's reverting to a slum, it's becoming un12.
joan, ge10, male + ***le, type of gun + i Lied, told an untruth. add un for un12
oops....my only excuse is don is gabbling on about a bushfire no where near us.it's his fault...he distracted me. :)
ok i'm gonna try to go back to sleep later all
last part of clue should read ...l***....told an untruth
Thank you, I did get the ge10 from your clue before but when I add the un, it keeps telling me that it is not a word! I don't know what I am doing wrong! Maybe I should not be doing this puzzle at 3 am!!!
night hurshy
night, hurshy, were you ale to get all the big words?
Sweet dreams, Hurshy.
you need a d on the end of it joan
There is another GE10
two ge 10's
joan, ge10/112, then add un to the beginning
*waves to dart
cheeky possom, ruru. lol
Thank you everyone!
yay, joan, nice job!!
Good night, joan.
Goodnight and thank you all
Sweet dreams, Joanick.
Joanock*..sorry
Lol! I like my new friends!
it is Joani
My excuse is i have a cold and my eyes are really watering.
Sweet dreams, Joani :-)
hey peach
aww zoozz, poor you. so yucky to have a cold like that.
Hey there, rose. Hope all is well with you.
joan, is that your adorable pooch?
yes, peach. thanx for asking. and you, my dear? how are you?
I know, Rose..i have been up since 3:30am..splitting headache..but hey ho..lol
It is! My English Bulldog!
acckkk!!! you poor thing! cold pack time or heatpack?
joani, what is it's name?
Joan's dog is really cute
Heatpack for sure..hate anything too cold..lol
His name is Dexter and he is four years old. I have had so many different breeds of dogs, but this breed is my favourite.
well then....go for it, zoozz. i will never stand between someone and their heat pack.
May I please have a clue for mo8-45? Thanks
joani, nice name...and he is really seriously cute.
Thank you, my only complaint is the shedding!
peach, coinage minus sometimes vowel + men's neckwear with plural letter in it
Oh, rose, thank you....I think I should go to bed....I can't concentrate. See y'all later in the day.
Bye, Peach.
np's peach. sleep well, hun
okay, gotta go...dinner nearly ready. see y'all at the flip. happy babbling!
Take care, Rose.
night..*poof*
Bye Rose. Thans for your help!
morning all. one ge10/105 is past tense other is a noun
today's phantom is egremont (which is a place name but I think it should be a piece of armour or some such)
Hi scouser. :)
Haha. If an "egremont" was a piece of armor, what would it protect?
Hmmm I think I might have started the wrong train of thought there?
Pity Hydra isn't online she'd be falling about laughing now.
egremont :-political blog
Haha.
Yeah. Wish she was here too.
And good one, roncook. ;)
gen ts
good morning all
Hello
hi BabbleRabble, am glad to see you :)
Hello all
Hello, lyn
hi lyn :) xxx
looks like a fast grid today
I think they are all for Sprite - except maybe one or two each year
Some new words .... or memory loss.
no way. Most go well until half or 3/4 and after that it is pecking away one by one. I see babble does not recognize the evil monsters in Harry Potter's prison.
new words. Ah, those must be the ones I cannot find :)
Does Harry work with clay?
not that I recall
I thought that is what potters did
yeah. I think he must have missed the job description. He usually magicks.
The author has a non-potter new book out.
but, unusual for me, I have found 2 real biggies already by myself. I tend to be biggies blind.
I have read a single word of potter or hobbit
not a, that is
a single one in particular or a specific one? And is it different in both?
ah, not a. Sorry :)
the u is the 12
one without manners or ... lost those he had
I see my clue is inaccurate ... it is what I perceived without looking it up
no problem :)
to make less appealing to the middle class
the real biggie was one of the on4 I had found, thanks though :) Am still happily plodding along here.
so you got the 8 too
two tens, actually
yes. And a 9 and a 10. Not really worth applause with so many biggies, but a personal triumph for me ;)
personal triumphs are good ... congrats.
eh yes, true. And thank you.
ge 10/112 and 10/105
yes, I have both. Thank you for wanting to help :) But I am not really ready for clues yet, unless someone else needs them.
ok .... I shall leave
oh please don't. I enjoy your company.
oh dear BR is not happy at the moment..sorry I was not looking as I wasn't ready either
not much reason to be happy. Tough times at the moment. *hugs BabbleRabble*
no he has left, hopefully to rest
in that case I will send him healing and peaceful vibes.
BBL just going to drop my daughter back home
in case I don't see you after, have a lovely evening, lyn :) xxx
I even found the 3rd 10. Am a happy little babble sprite today.
babble and tennis = lovely
rentee
oops..sorry
hi rolin :) Did you get the whole hubbub where ruru confirmed what you set in motion with JC a long time ago?
I did sprite thank you... I just happened to see the chog on the day...
ah nice. Just wanted to check if you had se4 it :)
how have things been you ?
pretty good here. Slowly getting my act together with the whole depression and ptsd thing. Family is doing well. Terra included, of course. And how are things with you and yours?
glad to hear it... yeah... last year certainly had its ups and downs...but I have a strong family... and i'm sure 2013 will bring more positivity than anything else.. hey... I have a bread maker... that's gotta be good..lol
bread makers are fun! Good for you :) May 2013 be a happy and blissful year for you and yours, rolin.
ok..im sorry..i cannot believe fu6 & 7 is acceptable...
yeah I wondered the same thing. With an i in it maybe... but not like this.
I keep trying un + guy. Somewhere in my mind is the idea that it is a oily substance. But it won't take.
hiccup time
fi4flies. Bye all.
congrats Sprite - have a great day
hey lynx...do you have stats for the third non-ge 10 pls?
hi Rolin, no sorry - just found those 2 myself
its an re 10/98. i don't have it though so can't clue it.
re10 - to inform again
ty Dianne :)
Does anyone hav ethe ge 10/105?
dianne, change the last letter on the 10/112
the person who made it all nice
thanks lyn
thx Dianne...didn't have the 8 for that
still enjoying the tennis rolin?
rolin, rich has asked that you check your email. don't know what it is about.
yup..thx demi..just got it... ill have a look/listen after the tennis
enjoying... um..maybe..but just not as happy with the state of play..lol
djokoivc has stepped things up a bit.
and murray is in pain...
he has a large blister that has burst on the side of one his feet.
Good morning (or evening) everyone :)

ah, just got the mo9 :)
Hey all :) I added it up, the five top words add up to 570 pointbb. Nice! G'nite
Yay - I found the mo 9 too and the un 12 was my first word!!!!
there's a lovely symmetry between the no8's & re10 and the ge10's and un12.
i do like when things have a lovely parallel structure.
you are all flying over my head!
That was a really helpful comment hurshy - ty :)
yw, i try :)
un10 was your 1st word?!?!! wow Lizlin
aaah, found one of the 10's
Ruby, they all end with the 1st column
and therefore the un12
ty everybody
No un 12! Never done that before but it did help that I turned on just as someone clued un + ge 10 - so that helped!!!!
turned on the computer, that is!
Still missing one 10!
lol, Liz
but you said you found my comment helpful! that should mean you have all the 10's
teehee think that was me
Didn't notice the plural of your ge 10ssss! Will start looking again!
that one did the ge10
yay, found the 10's and the 12, thanks again hurshy

I only have 3 x 8's at the moment - no8/60, no8/55 and st8/50
Morning teach
phantom: st**fr***
oh, missing st8/50
Would you like a clue smores?
me8. mo8 x 2 (unrelated). there are 2 st8 (also unrelated).
there is a st8/45, mo8/60, mo8/45, me8/50
all normal words.
Yes please Biltong, not seeing it

yw :)
lurkers frantically looking for rubys mo13...lol
hahah
lol :)
<-- sorry, lurkers
Did Ruby enjoy her birthday and was she truly spoilt?
got one of the mo 8's so far :)
if a neighborhood is getting more upscale it is being ge10
she's allive, that's what counts! didn't break her routine
she is spoilt every day
Best answer! Lots of loves for her, I suspect!
:)
she's a wonderful girl! owns my heart
Is it Ruby in your icon?
no, that is dearly departed Max
ivesy, you see my clue?
Ruby is shaded blonde
{{ivesy}} I didn't see you
Lovely dog :)

*woof* everybody and doggie hugs
{group hug} Enjoy the day everyone :)
I can't remeber ever having a 12 letter word.
According to Lickety's stats, this is the highest scoring one in the last 2418 grids. Quattrocentos coming in second at 170.
nbt, nbs, 41 remaining....whew
Highest scoring word or grid?
Highest scoring 12 letter word, I was replying to Bea.
*to you Bea
Nice little fact to know once I find that highest scoring word.
good morning my babble friends:)
'morning, crossy
Morning crossy and welki.
hi, bea
hi all. 82 left bt and bs. lol
hi mixi
sorry disappeared.. too many phone calls. good morning all..

My condolences, ivesy.

my wife brother has also just been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer so every say a pray for my mrs please who also just lost her mother last septemer
for sure crossy.. prayers goes out to mrs crossy.
damn cancer!
hi all, I am not getting the clues for the re10
agree 100 %. so happy for those who got to see him in his last days. he lives in arizona. his partner took such good care of him. and would you belive soc.sec. wouldnt give him the lousy 250$ for burial becuz they were gay and not married.
So ridiculous, ivesy.
sorry about your cousin, ivesy
right column gray
hi, peri
thye were together 30 years! longer than some married couples. . the government sucks
ty peri
"legalities with probate go so slow that he may not live long enough to see what his own mother left for him at her own death 4 months ago but the wife and i got it to court as fast as the lawyers would let us...ivesy,that is horrid that a country so advanced as united states still dictates who people may fall in love and marry
canada has faults and a long way to go,but anyone may get married and be entitled to all that is due any married couple, regardless of sex
too worried about providing for all the illegals. im a bit bitter you mite say.the illegals get more benefits than i do
which is why i am collecting soc. sec. at 62.
It is funny how a country built upon seperation of church and state lets the "church" dictate its laws.
too busy worrying about hand guns for all i imagine.that and putting up second amendment wallpaper..sorry.do not want to go there today
lol crossy.. not a good topic. .. we shall change subject.... spring like weather for us next couple days. .. in the fifties...
(like there's no problem with handguns in canada, crossy)
yes,lets change it up
You are all absolutely correct on this one. I love this country but some of the attitudes are not only backward but just plain wrong. Arizona is even worse than most....
well they will be bringing his ashes back to nj. where he and tom met. sam would have liked that.
Supposed to get into the 60s here tomorrow. Too bad we will be heading home.
It has been marvelous weather on the Outer Banks for January.
where are you now, bea?
Changing...we're having wonderful rain here in Phoenix...and I am loving it. We so much need it.
oops - nevermind :)
it will be just enuf to melt snow.. make way for more !. get thru feb then spring around the corner.
milder here and minus 9c
sam was in gold canyon arizona mimi. do u know it?
-- and crossy's sunday feast soon to come!
i must start cooking better for myself.. lol.. take some of crossy ideas !
Yes, I do, ivesy. So sorry for your loss. I hope his companion has a good support system.
-8c here and snow on the way - who knows how much, this is the land of the minute-by-minute-weather-report
lol, always something cooking at crossy's place welki
I saw robins this week in the driveway. Spring must be coming
oh he was.. took care of him to the end..
hi, mimi
Clue please for un 12/171
I meant I hope someone is now taking care of him as well....it's hard being left behind.
(welki, dear)
lookin in chat, so amazing that we are in so many parts of the world.. this must really fry the phone companies asses...
oh yes mimi.. toms mom is there with him. and sams mom lives out there too.
I feel so global..
un12 builds from the ge 10/112
OK found it
not revitalized, like a neighborhood, gran
What does it matter who you love as long as you love?!!
<-- day late, dollar short
never mattered too me.. too many of my relatives are in same sex relations. they are happy thats what counts
ty for the 12. nbs.
30 years of love.it is sad.were they here, the surviving partner gets 2500 in death benifits and widow pension.btw babblers,i have had to deal with funerals and family loss so much in the last 2 years that i can tell you this: do not let those funeral insurance commercials scare you into signing up.for less that the death benifit allowance i was able to get mother in law all crematorium services,a very nice urn a donation to her favorite charity on behalf of her estate and all govt paperwork done all for less than the death benefit allowance
my mom doesnt have any life ins. we will be looking for the easies way to bury her. at this time looks as if she will outlive all her chldren lol
after we buried my first mother in law, we found an article about renting a casket.
I'm feeling much better today but still a little out of steam so only popped in to say hello. Hope it's a good day for everyone. We need to remember the '60's in this country and take action using our votes and our money in the marketplace as power. I told my family to scatter half my ashes over the highest peak in Colorado and the other half over the 17-mile-drive in Carmel, CA---that way, if they want to visit Mom, they get a nice vacation! On that note, I'm gone! Hugs to all.
when the time comes, ivesy, please consider cremation.it negates a ton of stresss and worry at what is already a stress filled time
i believe that is what we will do crossy. seems more people are doing that. cant see all this viewing and such... too morbid.
and in canada, the service comes with a permit form to scatter the ashes where you will
help with the re10 pls
hello...do not have a viewing...then you pay for a casket.
indeed ivesy, and the casket, viewing, burial ceremony, purchacing the actual plot, the cost soon spirals out of control
Peri, to be informed again
I saw that clue and still cannot find it
no8
hi, phaeton
my parents went to the local funeral home and pre-paid for cremation. After a local memorial service where they lived. we mailed the remains to family plot and waited a couple of weeks (so everyone could get a reasonable air fair) for the burial (done the day before in the graveyard).
hi all
more people are just having memorial service. i would imagine we will have to do that, as none of us has extra money. and mom doesnt care says she will dead anyway.
ty,I did not have the base word.now have both
hi phaeton
when my mom died...we found out that she could be buried with my dad at the national military cemetery for free.
here, we do it a tad different mixi.the executor gets the original urn and ashes and we have lovely rosewood boxes for each family member who wishes some ashes, with the remainder staying with us to honor any scattering requests that may be in the will
I am to be cremated and they are not to buy a casket to be burned with me. "Get a refrigerator box."
so even with a casket, viewing, urn, and funeral...it cost us $350 each...of course there is 8 of us.
That is nice, phaeton.
we did not choose to waste burning a casket with mother in law
that is nice crossy. too bad when even dying gets expensive. i will look into pre paying for mine when i start getting soc. sec. as i know my son wont have the money lol
a refrigerator box?
I told my kids to put a hole in their pocket and walk thru a casino and scatter my ashes there...lol
A large cardboard box, welki.
told my wife and son to just feed me to the fishes
the national military cemeteries are free to any veteran and spouse.
think i will be scattred over the library.. dusty anyway, wont make a difference.
that is nice to have indeed phae
donate, cremate and scatter near malibu or in mountain lake/stream area - that's my plan
and i will haunt the people who annoyed me. but then again theere mite not b enuf ashes!
some strange things are being done with ashes now though.i read one ad where they take your ashes, mix them with plastics and make a record out of you that will play any song of your choice.another one i saw was the mixing of ashes into tatoo ink so your beloved will now be with you always
I am thinking of a similar thing welki.
^5 peri - least amount of bother, footprint, expense
bbl
you can make a garden stone with pets ashes...not sure about human ashes. I guess what they don't know won't hurt them?
coffee time here too.. later my friends.
yup, cremation for ole crossy.i do not wish to bury a 5 thousand dollar casket and my body in the ground to feed the worms with
i have also arranged for my babble account o be used by someone just as annoying as i am after i am gone
to
No one would be able to take your place, crossy.
woot!
awww
BRB! I SMELL BACON!...POINK
ce 6/21 and 7/32= sound exactly like slang word for 100 dollar bill and pl

Thank YOU...
can you clue the 8 that the 10 mus t have in it?
Motor vehicles must be no10 of a change of address
The 10 doesn't have an 8 within it. It's a past tense/descriptive word relating to a word that ends in y.

I called it the supercar
I often forget that they have all those extra vowels lying around in the UK. : D
Or is it vowaels?
we pick up all the extra vowels that welsh people throw away
: D That explains it Ata
that's the best explanation I've heard yet, ata
Way to recycle UK folks : )
anyway we dont have too many vowels, you have too few
back to do some more.
I learned BE growing up and then moved to the US. My spelling was a problem for a while, I still mix and match :)

glad you enjoyed :D
what a voice! imagine if she and skrillex recorded together. that would be interesting.
Hello. Just starting on this gray, quiet Sunday morning with Murphy's chin on my knee. He is ready for attention.
this is a very chewy grid
I'll have to go, daughter needing a lift home from the station. Bye for now!
Okay. I shall gnaw on the grid for awhile.
bye dear!
bye haz
hello, gmere. sounds cozy.
Hi TO yes. Very quiet here. We are trying to organize our files for 2012 to make tax time less taxing. But taxes do not tend to decrease, do they.
Hello! Good Afternoon
Hi car. How are you today?
Very well. And you?
hi, babblers (Ata!! nice to 'see' you here!)
Hi Welki!
Your weemee is very cute...very you!
thanks, car (and hego, too!)!
beautiful siamese, car - chocolate point? (interesting stripes)
He is a dumpster find :( His siblings were light gray tigers, so now that he is getting bigger, he has these great stripes along with the gradiations of color.
hi car!
Hello all...change to my day...flu...yuck
jilly - no fun
hi owl
Oh no Jillyjill! I am so sorry :(
Hi TO!
hi jilly - o htought you were getting better?
hi welk
well, car - someone in his past was siamese :)
car i want your kitty!
Yes! Definitely! The good thing...he doesn't make a peep! Only in the car in the carrier. I know most Siamese are very noisy.
Have been healthy....guess the man upstairs wanted me to rest...
That is the best thing for you Jilly, so get it while you can!
s many people are sick, we need a cheat sheet
He is a good boy, but does have neurological issues and has some funky nodes under his fur that we are keeping an eye on.
<-- loves the siamese cat-talk
yes, they are talkers. i am avoiding the animal thing. i want to be fotloose and fancy free.
neuro issue?
is he a new addition to your family?
Yup. Bobs and weaves his head a bit.
Yes! We got "Buddy" about a week or two before Christmas.
One of my favorite cats was the siamese...he literally chose us. Was a friends cat but didn't like his talkativeness. He jumped in the back of the truck...that was it.
poor guy. he is handsome
Awesome!
He lies around my neck like a boa and naps.
car, your sister is in the grid!
Mine actually would say hello...he always greeted you at the door when we came home...I miss him.
Yes she is!
I see this UN is a very big word! Is is something that I would know?
I have had "talkers" before too Jilly. I think it is kind of neat.
good morning/afternoon, everyone :)
i thhink you'd know it
Hi Cyber!
ugh - time to get moving - later, gang
OK! Ssshhh! Let me see if i can find it!
i may know it but i can't SEE it
Bye Welki! Have a great day!
bye welk
We do prefer a cat with a strong personality...have two now. Neither is siamese (one is a Bombay and the other a tuxedo), but they are vocal and friendly.
By welki
My old gray is a "chirper"
I saw the 12, but figure it probably builds on another in the grid...
Chirper?
aw i like chirpers too.
Not really the meow of a talker, just little noises like "chirps"
How cute!
Yes, but not at 3 in the morning!
kind of like "brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrip"
Yes!
well, leave out a about 8 Rs
True that car.ee. I assume your cats are protected indoor cats?
Yup...that did seem a bit long!
Yes, they are.
stats for the u, please?
ones
i really miss a cat. but i don't want to deal with the mess.
oops
;) you can take a cat into the PB with you...
does the un connect with a stand alone grid word?
=^..^=
jilly the bomaby sounds interesting. are they really very averse to being left alone?
They are definitly needy in attention, but he has such a purr that it makes up for it. And he and the tuxedo get along well. Plus hubby is home.
i have just becme so used to going whenever. iw as thinking dog but that is much more work.
Squeee! I remembered the old rowing boat! TR 7/32
wheeee - just found 10 and 12 on my own
Oh Well done, River! I am jealous!
hello everyone

That's what's nice about being sick...no guilt on babbling..
ty car
that is true Jilly but sorry to hear you are sick
guess that's why I'm still looking for the u!
i am hungry but it is too early to eat. dinner willbe late tonight.
if you find the ge10 you will find the un12
my son and I just had breakfast at 1.....lazy sunday
does it go with a stand alone grid word?
Excuse me, but if you were NOT no 8/60 about the date and time of a party, wouldn't you be un + no 8/60 about the details?
That sounds wonderful!
ooo ty river...I just started working on the grid figuring the UN had to be added to another word
tried that too car
thanks for the no8's car
It's all I need for nbt/nbs...
And if you clean something, you would un 5/16 it and it thus it would be un + gr 6/30!
*looking for ge10*
got them! ty ty ty!
I still need the lone e in 4th column for NBT - hope it isnt fishy
Me too River

Hi Sue - its a fun grid so far

62 left - should go do chores for a while - see you all later
Thanks Nan. :-)
bye river!
missing an fu -- have the 6 that is a nonword
oh - the superlative - another nonword
The most mirthful.....
considering those two, I'm surprised that enuf isn't a word!
reminds me of when my son was little, he would use words like that
ge 10 x2 -- anyone know what the other one is?
not I, nan
my son hardly ever calls but when he does, wow, it's hard to get off the phone
soodle, are you still hdre?
hi ruby!
and it is not mirthful
{{sue}}
Present, Rubes!
ge 10 x 2, different last letters
my ear is worn out
have those, ruby -- looking for the other 10
do you have the other 10, ruby? I have both ge10
only have 2 10's :(
this has been a fun grid, however, though of course I won't finish it
have been pecking away at it off and on
Lol Ruby. I call my son every day (magic phone!!), and I think I embarrass him by calling so often.
that is too funny, soodle
I would go crazy if I had to talk to my son that often
we were on for about 45 minutes!
But, if I forget to call him, he's on the phone, wondering whats wrong!! Now, with my iPad, we Facetime each other.
my son texts me a lot, and sometimes sends me Facebook messages
that is very sweet. We tried skype, but I was too self-conscious. He did, however, get to see Rufie that way (when the dog was small enough to fit on my lap)
he also comes over in the middle of the night to do his laundry, and doesn't always wake us up :-)
I hear the iPad tinkling, and I rush for the lipstick......
hahah
158 down and stuck - heading for the list
if somebody came in here during the night, the dogs would go insane
we've just learned that there have been several robberies in the village
Well good day to all as I start some cooking. I promised a pie and must get going!
I'm glad we have big, loud dogs
hi gmere!
bye stidgmere
A policeman told me that a barking dog is worth 5 burglar alarms!
burglar alarms don't bite
Hi assorted Stigs!!
my dog barks if someone rings the doorbell, but if someone just walks in she loves them to death (assuming she wakes up at all). Very sweet but a terrible watchdog.
(not that my sweet pups would either, but people don't know that)
Rufie gets between me and whoever comes in the house -- repairman, etc -- and doesn't budge
I've also heard that a dog is a good burglary deterrent - too much noise and trouble
On the other hand, alarms don't need to be fed, walked, cleaned up after......
he's very protective and scary-looking
I would be more afraid of your grumpy husband ruby :D
today he almost burned the house down -- again!
Sera is scary-looking but gentle when you get close to her
they are both very gentle but aloof unless they make the choice. You can't just approach them
my dog would only scare burglars with tennis ball allergies
<--Wonders why Soodle's iPad tinkles
We used to have a rothweiller. Gentle as a lamb, but terrified the bejaysus out of undesirables.
they just walk away once they know that the person is OK with me
hahaha, sounds like mine, ruru
her iPad must not be housebroken
hi all, back from a lousy lunch at the cheesecake factory
help with me8 pls
It's incontinent molly
hence the Pad
how disappointing, peri
snap, ru
Buh dum ching
eeew
hi Molly!
haven't even thought about lunch --- still full and slightly hung over from last night!
and hi peri, sorry your lunch wasn't any good
allo, Molly
Okay what is lousy at The Cheesecake Factory?
at this point, I would even like Denny's
Scoff all ye want!!!! (Mutters..... They're only jealous....)
I had the chopped salad and it was actually a mushy salad. nothing crisp in it and too much dressing
Ooo, Nan was a party girl last night. : )
I have it before and it was much better
did you dance on tables, nan?
Nan was hosting a party last night!
<--- reminds self not to try to eat healthy food at the cheesecake factory
those Canadians party all the time
a postponed New Year dinner that we had to cancel when we got sick after Christmas
the cheesecake looked delish
*Raises an eyebrow at Soodle* Saying "they are just jealous is the stuff of 12 year olds.
but I did not have any
help with me8 pls
do they have chocolate cheesecake; I want to fantasize
<--Wonders what is the point of healthy food at The Cheesecake Factory
yes they do
the wait for a table was very long even tho we got there before noon
And you didn't even see me jutting out my bottom lip and stomping my foot....
pt of me 6: to coach someone
I put cream cheese on cookies
If I'm going to fantasize .. it ain't going to be about cheesecake
we all ordered from the skinnylicious menu :)
you should have been here ruru -- don't know how many wines we went through!
thanks, nan!
sheesh, ty nan, did not think to make it pt
Oh Lord, if I'm going to eat that boring, I'm going to do it at home.
peri, the me8 is pt of the me6
well done Nan.. in the wine biz ..we call those depletions
marigold had chicken tacos and she said they were good
ty lil
*Throws a loo roll hat at Lilliann*
we started out with a sparkling white -- one that beats anything I've ever tasted in France
hello lilliann
Skinnylicious??? An oxymoron if ever I heard one....
Agreed Soodle.
not going back there any time soon. she had a gift certificate to spend
I am just too cold to stay but it's nice to see this group of babblers!
I ate at one CheeseCake factory.. the portions were gigantic
72 words left and my average was 5.11 so I feel chuffed!
Oh Ruby, put on a sweater and suck it up
and the food was lousy too
hi all.thanks molly, i won't be wearing it unfortunately but will have my head in it.back to lurking :)
I think it is overrated ru but it is always mobbed
The corpus delecti might be cold, Rubes, but I bet the cockles of your heart are warm!
I'm wearing thermal underwear, a cotteon turtleneck, a ski top and a cardigan and I'm still cold
Cheesecake Factory is "trendy". *rolls eyes*
It's Ruby's fault
yes.. popular place
I think my cockles have chilled.....
people watching was interesting while waiting for a table
had to read soodles comment twice for good measure
and it is a chain. I prefer restaurants with more ambiance and better food even tho the cost is higher
truly ruby if you can't have hot cockles what's the point
Chain restaurants are usually pretty crappy
indeed, Molls
Dinner chez Soodle was roast beef, yorkshire pud, roasted mediterraen veg, gravy. Totally un-skinny, and worth every single calorie!
Give me a family owned restaurant any day
yes Molls, much better
last night we had pasta.. with parmessan/cream/artichoke hearts and lemon sauce
we go to the locsl Italian just because it's close and the people are nice, but the food is poor
the food is betterr at home, but I lack the energy to do much cooking
Soodle loves her Mediterranean vegetables.
that sounds wonderful ruru
More -licious than skinny, if you will...
what kind of wine did you have ruru?
good night everybody
<---- needs to cook something for dinner
we had a sauvignon blanc
Dinner at Ru's always sounds top shelf
night ruby
*woof*
night rubes
night, ruby! Stay warm!
night ruby.tc.keep warm
((((Night Rubes)))). Talk soon. X
bs
bye peri!
still hoping for a clue for the first mo word-mo8/45-anyone?
M + first number + w*** old owl
Delayed New Year Dinner: Baked brie topped with fig conserve (Canadian champagne-style wine) -- while dinner was cooking. Beef Wellington with bernaise sauce, baked potatoes, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, salad along with various reds and whites, pineapple bavarian cream, followed by choclates accompanied by either madeira or port -- wonder why I'm not feeling worse than i do!
got it, thanks Molly! (there is a consonant in the middle as well)
Sorry Maj. Working on it....,
Sorry...m + first number + consonant + w*** old owl
<---Loves Beef Wellington
ty so much Molly been looking forever
Yay. Thanks for the mo 8
finished cleaning kitchen, emptied dishwasher, threw in a load of laundry...back for a bit
wow, river, you got a lot done!
I was on a roll
*Puts out a little water resistant coverlet in case Soodle's iPad tinkles again*
nan that sounds incredible
yes thanks molly for that M
<----loves beef wellington too
It did turn out well, and our guest went home stuffed and happy, which is the most important thing :)
*guests
I love to be a guest who goes home stuffed and happy.
<---would like to be a guest at Nan's house
Mustering dignity..... Molly! My tinkling iPad is a figure of speech!! Sheesh!
(In best Maggie Smith voice) My dear, we NEVER "muster" our dignity.
I generally muster with hot dogs
Be careful. Molly. The wind might change, and you could be left like that!
<--Ponders whatever it is Soodle means by that
lost me too
tinko#ling is a UK English euphemism
evening all
also describing a sound
anyone have a clue for the mo 8/45?
I thought tinkling off was what Liberace did in the sunset?
I am so so stuck with 54 to go....dont list anymore...think I will go check out FB
When we were kids, if we pulled faces at each other, my mother always said ' don't do that. The wind will change & you'll be left like that'.
didn't know you could tinkle off :-)
depends on how pissy you are glant :D :D
:-)
there's a word with different meanings on each side of the pond
LIberace used to tinkle in more ways than one
good afternoon all.....any hints for the 10's or the 12?
Theres a sign on the wall, but she wants to be sure, cos, you know sometimes words have two meanings.....Led Zeppelin!
ge10 - to take someone out of the country and formalize them. Then make that a un12
bye everyone
If I believed everything my Mother said I would have broken her back from stepping on a crack and I would be blind and have hairy palms.
Bye River. :-)
I believe the hairy palms
Molly!! Elaborate! Please.....(chortle)
and nine people would be saved by a stitch in time
Clearly Soodle is unaware of old wives tales about what causes blindness and hairy palms.
:D
:D
:D
*wipes coffee off screen*
Oh no Ru. I' m quite aware. I just want Molly to elaborate! Hence the chortle....
> --- had to shave his palms in high school
Oh, here we go with the nonsense again. Apologies to the grumpies.
Do you guys in the US get a sitcom called Father Ted?
Just checked, I get it on Hulu Plus but have not watched it.
Do yourself a favour Molls, and watch it. Not for the faint hearted or the reverend.
Well, since I am neither of those I'm sure I will like it.
RuRu reminded me about Fr Ted. Theres an episode all about Hairy Hands....
er
peri is speechless
umph
that was no oops
Grgllgre
an oops, even
tr 7/32, please?
Speaking of tr words, town of Soodle is in the grid today.

First word I saw today, Molls.
mo + what's in the middle of a tennis court + w*** old owl
ty molly
*!* ta da *!* - thanks for the help :)
think I'll go see if some food will erase the lingering effect of the madeira I should have skipped last night -- hagd everyone :)
You have a good day too Nan.
Seriously shot myself in the foot today. Saw wine on special offer in the supermarket. €5 a bottle. Bought 4 bottles. On closer inspection, I discovered it's alcohol free wine. Pshhh.. Alcohol free wine. The Ultimate oxymoron !!
TAKE IT BACK!!!
Take it back!!!
Hi All. : D
False advertising, if you ask me....
sounds criminal to me.
Take it back, complain about the false advertising and maybe they will give you some of the good stuff for free.
or at least take that crap back.
Or at least for the same price.
take it back, get a refund and get a nice bottle of whiskey and you will feel much better
: )
Soodle doesn't do whiskey. If you can believe that about an Irish woman.
wow
I know, speaking of oxymorons.
crossy does not do wine.giving me wine is like feeding a pig a strawberry for dinner
i'm drinking a glass of champagne at the moment.it's probably really cheap but we were given it on holiday after complaining and it actually isn't that bad...but i like cheap wine anyway, but not alcohol free....
lol crossy, but it might give the bacon a good flavour
that's all that counts Lill. ; )
exactly hego. i don't normally like champagne, but it taste like a nice sparkling wine
good enough!
Sorry. Was on the phone. I quite like champagne. (Is this the part when I'm supposed to say 'It tickles my nose?')

hi there
a crossy tidbit of the day notification.there has been a rash of posting on fb of late regarding an amber alert for a missing 2 year old girl and a bolo for quebec plates.this is a false alert and not an active one
3 year old girl*
hi Welki & Cross
howdy lynxx
howdy again welki
hi welki and crossy
howdy lillian
why would anyone post a fake - oh nevermind, this is the i.n.t.e.r.n.e.t.
hi welki :-) lynxxx, crossie, liliann
lol nuff said
howdy diane
diane!
hi diane
hi diane
i mean, diane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!
;-)
¡¡¡¡¡¡
we are proud of our amber alert system and i have seen it in action many times utilizing the lcd signage on our major highways and hate to see it muddied by crackpot alerts
agreed, but best to err on the side of caution if the authorities aren't sure if the report is on the level
Hi folks! Is the re10, to do something over again?
i called a friend of mine in 52 division in toronto..it is a false alert
sort of - it's to alert again
there is an article also posted at the snope website regarding this
(harp - it's pt)
http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/missing/\nfaketext.asp
hi harp
damn, sorry proper tiny url coming up
http://tinyurl.com/ppzvq6
there we go
i find snopes a good go to when trying to find how much BS content things have that get posted on the net and esp in fb
despicable hoax, crossy - the history of the scam played on a grieving family
thats why i am working hard at debunking it here
so it does not perpetuate itself
just google snope and search the topic as i cannot seem to get any urls correct today
your tinyurl worked just fine
ahh good then
babble throwing in all those n,s in a standard url post and the fact that it messes up the chog are a great incentive to use tiny url regularly when posting:)
should ask drg if he can add the tinyurl post in the babble site
crossy, let's road trip down to diane's - don't know about your weather, but ours is going to hell in a handbasket on tuesday (snow, -19)
let me check whats coming here...
tinyurl is so common, probably not needed - folks have always been able to figure it out on their own
(and there's usually someone in chat who can help if someone needs a hand)
mmm heavy freezing rain warning here, not cold like your temps welki, but i am up for a nice road trip where the air is warm and the sun still shines
where does diane hang her hat?
It's still a little cool here, welki... had a lovely rain early yesterday. The funny thing about the desert is that the water doesn't soak in.... washes and catch basins fill very quickly !!
she's from alberta, crossy, but spends a big part of winter in arizona
all i have to do is pack my reader, some bacon,a bottle of vodka and my speedo and i am ready to go!
Crossy, we are in Arizona for 3 months... you just forgot, because I don't chat much anymore.
ahh yes i recall you telling us that diane
wonderful - i know diane's packed her thong and i can, too!
I mean that you forgot I was in Alberta.... and I'm just 3 hours north of welki. Welki lives just minutes from my son, who happens to own this house that we are enjoying !!
*imagines people running screaming, children crying, mothers covering their childrens' eyes, men yelling that their eyes are on fire....*
get the hot tub and the bbq ready diane!
Thong..... NO, but first things I got back into when we arrived were my capris !!
last time i tried wearing this, someone called greenpeace
i had to sew a canadian flag on my bathing suit so the aerial gunners wouldn't shoot
its all very confusing to us Auusies, we all wear thongs here - what else would you wear on your feet in Summer
And.... back in my day, thongs were today's flip-flops.... I still get the big "eye-roll" from grandkids when I slip up and call them "THAT"
oh wait - again, this is the i.n.t.e.r.n.e.t - i have a body like a sports illustrated swuimsuit model's :D
there ya go:)
well, you wouldn't want to wear a flip-flop like a thong bathing suit. it might hurt, and certainly would chafe.
There.... lynxxx backs me up !
and i have a 6 pack you can scrub yer laundry on
we call those flip-flops lynxx
yeah Crossy - I believe you
or sandals
and I have 40 words left... want to finish before supper, as we are having company tonight.... so, back to the grid :-)
here a thong is a modest covering of genitalia with naught but a string of fabric running up you caboose..also known as anal floss
Fellow Canadians...any clues for the me/8's??
... sounds like a redneck cartoon in the making. poor guy waddles to the beach with a flip-flop firmly implanted between his buttocks (and cowboy boots on his feet, of course). He sees people staring and yells, "Hey! What're you looking at? It's a THONG!"
hmmm - i have to reconsider what he'd be wearing in front.
hehe
sorry joan,i do not have it yet
one sounds like to make into money, joan
me8 someone who is counselled or taught.pt of the 6
the other is an extension of mo6/27 - like a fish mo**** or a fear mo****er
oh, you meant mo8 joan :)
revised: ... sounds like a redneck cartoon in the making. poor guy waddles to the beach holding a flip-flop in front of his man-parts and with a flip-flop firmly implanted between his buttocks (and cowboy boots on his feet, of course). He sees people staring and yells, "Hey! What're you looking at? It's a THONG!"
we'll probably see this on duck dynasty next season :)
no liliann, I have the mo8 but thanks for the clues
you have both of them, joan?
no just the one that welki gave the great clue on!
so,diane,be ready when lynxx shows up wearing a flip flop/sandal in the hot tub :)
nevermind I have both mo/8's, ty. I am working on the me/8's.
the other mo8 goes off the 6,pt joan
i gave two clues - i think you might be missing the 8/45 - sounds like to make into currency
fish, war......
i saw it ,ty welki
avctually I gave up wearing thonhgs and now wear crocs (go on.....)
i gave you a clue for the me8 joan
at 4.51 joan
my son LOVES those crocks but i cannot stand the things
awww - it's been done: http://tinyurl.com/acecp9p
you think they are a bunch of crocks? I bet if you wore them for a day you would be converted - they are extremely comfortable - I am talking the sandal styles
they'd probably be great on the boat - croc sandals
I found it. ty lilliann
lol Welki - funny photo
(looking at the croc site - some are very nice looking)
hehehe - lynnxxx, i thought so, too :)
yw jaon, don't forget the pl
can i have a clue for the first fi6,30 please
*joan
Hi again :)
hi smores :)
fi6.30 like a lion - angry/aggresive/scary
so lillian, was your 1st word today gn5?
:)
hi smores
hey wlki :)
ty lyn

Hey all. Back for the last 65.
Hiya Bea :)
hi bzzn
Been trying to do a little packing but dragging my feet.
are you off on holiday bzzn or packing boxes?
Heading back home from holiday.
When do you leave?
whee from?i hope you've had a great time. i know how you feel i was like that last week
We will be heading out around noon tomorrow.
*where
We have been staying on the Outer Banks of North Carolina for the month of January. Heading home to upper North Carolina .
F's finally finished!!
well i hope you've enjoyed it
yay smores
Are you looking forward to getting back home?
Yes, we have enjoyed it and NO we are not looking forward to getting back home.
17 left but struggling now and i can't stop coughing and shivering
<---gets lilliann a snuggler and a cuppa tea :)
Lil - are you just cold or are you sick?
Do you have the flu, lilliann
Bye everyone
hi and bye lynxxx :)
Bye, lynxxx.
i think so bzzn.i woke up with it yesterday
bye lyn.thanks for your help.tc
Our generous young grandson shared his cold virus with us before he left earlier in the week. Not the flu but feeling yucky.
well, atleast he is sharing but i hope you feel better very soon bzzn
:) ...if they don't share anything else, they'll share their ge4s...
You too, lilliann.
i can't stand anything against my skin at the moment as my whole body hurts to touch.i can't even wash my hair as my head hurts all over
Been a nasty year for the flu here.
which doesn't help as i'm cold without anything on lol
{{ lilliann}}
Are you taking anything?
i'm just drinking loads of hot drinks with paracetamol and cough mixture
Lilliann's playing Babble naked!!! : O
:) Hi Molly
my throat is so sore that it is literally burning and it kept me awake most of last night with the coughing
the only way to play it molly :)
good thing i have the heating on and am burning up :)
Not the game I play naked, but that's just me. : P
:)
i must admit there are alot more fu6 games to play naked :)
I haven't gotten to the age that I don't care who sees my naked sagginess so layers of clothes are a must.
Molly, what is your icon pic?
LOL Bea
Bea...naked sagginess : D
Know we know where the little gn5 got it from.
*Now
i'm the same bzzn but hubby hasn't been in the same rooms as me today so it's ok :)
Hello, everyone!
{Mimi} how are you?
hi mimi
{smores}
Hi, Lil!!
I'm much better, thanks, smores. Still ridiculously congested in the chest but feeling OK....does that make any sense? It's pouring rain here--yippeee!!
i must admit smores, i hate flashing my butt to anyone.there was a french canadian on holiday that was wearing normal bikini knickers and then she stood up and made her bottoms like a thong and then bent over rubbing suncream onto her cheeks.she was bent towards me and hubby and he was playing cards with our bairn so i don't know who she was flashing at?
I'm with you ladies...I need to live in a much colder climate than Phoenix since at this point in life I look sooo much better with MORE clothes on!!
hope you get better very soon mimi
Thanks, dear....it has been a week now...I'm tired of it.
I wouldn't ever have dreamed of flashing anyone even when I was younger but now it's not so much due to modesty as to not wanting to horrify the children!
Very rude lillian...especially with kids around.
Next time you see that, Lil, ask that person if they're like a biscuit for their St. Bernard dog....!
<----admits to flashing in my MUCH younger days
You, scamp, smores!! We will have so much fun when you visit!! I can tell you'll be a really good bad influence on me!
LOL...I have mellowed dramatically
Then you could say, "Oh, I'm sorry...I thought that was a dog!"
We'll remedy that, smores!
my husband said i should have told him so he could have looked and i told him, that was why i didn't because he was playing a game with our daughter and she would have turned around.it must of been for my husband's benefit as when he went upto the bar the following night she was touching him with her body and then her mam smiled at him when we were having our evening meal :)
lol mimi
?? she was touching him...
side of body
SHE was touching YOUR husband?!!
So where is the part where you decked her, Lilliann?
I'd be snatching her up by the hair and marching her outside!
wow....
she was sort of pressing the side of her body against him
i never saw it mimi or i would have mowed her down with my wheelchair :)
I'd have pressed the side of my high heel against her behind!
Good for you, Lil!! Brazen little tramp!
Some nerve...you said her mam...how old was she?
well, she isn't his type but he's a man and getting older so probably glad of some attention
I probably would've just dumped a pitcher of the closest beverage and told her to cool off
i would have said older than me but in her forties and her mam in her 60's. she was a tramp though and loved herself.she was what my husband called a cougar
In the early days of my former marriage I would always go into the office and make "friends" with all the women, especially the attractive ones, while showing them how much better I was and that they didn't have a chance....seemed to work...that plus the fact my husband was scared of what I might do to HIM!
wow....yep, definately needed a ice cold beer bath...lol
i hope she doesn't play this game or related to anyone :)
LOL
lol mimi
saying that, she didn't look like a word game sort of person
I once had a secretary tell me (at a party and she was tipsy) that she really envied me my husband and wished she could trade places with me. I just smiled a very "knowing" smile, looked her straight in the eyes and said "Yeah...good luck with that" and walked away.
but as they say, never judge a book...someone on here will probably play a joke on me and say it was their niece or something
good for you mimi
I told my husband about it later and he said "She must have a death wish." From my perspective, in more ways than one...
:)
lol
I just hate having a battle of wits with an unarmed person!
Yes
my husband is 6ft and built like a brick shed, has a bit of a belly now but he is 50 and it is bought and payed for and he always has young guys who work out trying to outdo him and woman do like his body but i think "he chose me and we are still together after 15 years so why get jealous"
:)
Jealousy has nothing to recommend it at all, Lil, I agree. I can't remember ever being jealous of anyone...not because I'm so great but I just feel if someone wants me, they can show me and if they're interested in someone else, they should go there instead....wouldn't ever consider fighting over a man. Now, BECAUSE of one....perhaps!
These days it's just me and the cats and I'm good with that....had enough drama for a lifetime already.
There was a woman flirting with my ex once at a party, I walked up and said " You are obviously not too bright so I will speak slowly and use small words, back the hell off NOW' :)
She promply left :)
Wasn't so much a jealousy thing, just don't like disrespectful 'hoes .... lol
Good one. I would be tempted to say something like "Forget it, lady, I'm smarter, prettier, better in bed and MARRIED TO HIM!!
:)
There was a block party once when we were first married and a neighbor was really coming on to my husband....you should have seen the look of sheer terror on his face!! He was so uncomfortable and afraid of my reaction....smart guy.
:)
aye, there is jealousy but there is just letting someone know to back off. i normally just give a look :)
lol mimi
It might have something to do with the fact that even before we were married I explained in great detail that if he ever cheated on me and I found out, he'd better make sure not to fall asleep while I'm still awake or he's have permanent job security with the Vienna Boys' Choir as a tenor!
Hey, I'm all talk that way...so nonviolent it isn't even funny...but he never knew FOR SURE.
Is your real name Lorena :)
LOL, smores! Actually, I would have hit him where it hurts the most---alimony.
there is nowt wrong with looking even a little flirting but no touching or taking someone elses spouse/partner. my hubby has the gift of the gab and his geordie accent also attracts people and i will admit he loves the attention but he wouldn't dare do anything he shouldn't, plus he's not that type of man
lol mimi
Agree lillian
there is no need to be vioelent when you can describe to people what you can do to them mimi, that frightens them all the more...the not knowing :)
Absolutely. If I wasn't sure someone was trustworthy, I just wouldn't waste my time or energy.
*violent
i'm watching celebrity apprentice usa.how old is donald trumps wife?
She's 42.
i only recognise 2 people.sharon osbourne ans cyndi lauper
Hello all....slept most of the afternoon, still feel like crap...
When I first divorced (after 23 years married) all these young guys came after me. I felt it my duty to go out with them in retribution for all those years of trophy wives....it was now OUR turn!
oh really.i want some of what she has as i'm only a year older and she looks alot younger than me.saying that i aged 20 years when our daughter was hurt
Like your attitude mimi
Hi Jilly...sorry you are feeling better :(
Jilly, you've missed a lively conversation here! Sorry you're not feeling well....I'm just about over mine.
hi jilly, glad you had a nap, sorry you feel crap, we'll feel crap together. i hope you get better quickly :)
First day...I don't do sick....
Glad you were able to get some rest though, even if it doesn't feel like it, I'm sure it helped.
i hope you had a great time mimi and wore some of them out :)
The youngest guy I dated had been after me for 2 years but was 32 years younger than me. I felt I needed someone's "permission" to go out with him so I asked my daughter...she had no problem with it. But it wasn't fun...every time he said something, in my mind I was patting him on the head thinking "Oh, you'll outgrow that."
lol
Hey, besides....I already raised my kids!
omg.32..you cougar..lol good for you, but a funny outcome
actually, you'd be a milf
Hey, I wasn't the one on the prowl....they came after ME....and no one was more surprised at the time!
*covers ears lalalalala*
Right, Jilly, pretend you know nothing......
LOL
no, i think it's great.it just shows what a lovely lady you are.if you ever come to england mimi, we have to meet up.i would love to hear all your stories :)
Hate to leave but have to run my daughters friend home...bbl to finish
i bet jilly knows more than she is letting on :)
{{ group hug }} bye
There were these twin brothers once on the bus that were only 20 yrs. old and were just not leaving me alone wanting my phone number. Well, I just looked at them and said "There's just something wrong with you two...I'm old enough to be your grandmother!" They didn't care!
bye smores.hopefully i will be gone by then :)tc hin. great chatting to you as normal :)
{{smores}} Hugs to you and the girls!
bye smores
and probably lillian
Yep, Lil, I think Jilly knows her way around the block!! That's compliment, Jilly.
hi again all!
hey lady. if you have it, flaunt and use it! i want some of what you have mimi :)
Mimi, that is pretty funny! (as long as they weren't scary)
hi sue, welcome to cougar ville
I'm leaving, too....have to feed the cats before they start nibbling on ME.... Oh, hi, sue!! How are you? Nah, hard to scare me!
I am good, mimi! My cats are also complaining that it is dinnertime.
hi, lilli!
I did have a stalker once, though. That was a little unnerving.
well, feeling worse sitting up...*poof* for now
that would be, mimi!
that can't of been nice jill
bye, jill! Take care of yourself!!
Poor Jilly...feel better, dear.
bye jilly, hope you start feeling better soon.hugs and tc
i feel worse when i lie down, that's when i cough more
He never got aggressive or scary, though, thankfully. He was actually quite attractive but I just wasn't in the mood for adventure.
well, that's a relief, mimi
<---used to be a stalker.. now I just babble
OK, ladies, off to take care of the babies...have a good night and we'll do this again tomorrow! Hugs all around.
sounds like you have had loads of adventures mimi.you'll have to tell us your other stories another time
bye, mimi!
{{ruru}} You can stalk me anytime....
night mimi. tc hin and big hugs
Am in the process of writing a book, Lil....really.
Sprite has been my support system....she is now my muse.
well, when it is written let me know as i would love to read it :)
oh, cool, mimi! I would like to read it too!
I thought about writing it as fiction but at this point in life I've decided it's OK to have been "colorful."
No one who knows me will be shocked anyway!
i prefer true life stories
hi, folks
colorful is unavoidable at this point in life, I think, mimi!
One of many happenings: In 1972 I went to a cocktail party with Burt Reynolds....wonderful man...but, unfortunately, a complete gentleman!!
hi welki
((welki))
hi welki!
OK--this time I'm really going...later, all.
bye, mimi!
hi/bye, mimi
bye again mimi
mimi? did you see the photo i posted of a man wearing a thong?
(just because it's totally inappropriate :)
Can I get a clue for the last st6/24?
Ruru....if I was younger I'd be camping on your doorstep during Johnny Depp's visit!
bea it's a fish

Missed that, welki!

hi harry
hi harry and bea!
hi lil, welki, everybody
hi sue :)
hi harry - thought of you last night, not when i saw the guy in the thong, but when a Hood commercial was on television
hah :)
if you want to keep feeling good about hood, don't think about me in a thong.
do you know that their cottage cheese has 1/2 the sugar of the best selling national brand of yogurt?
lol, harry!
Just saw it, welki---should have captioned it "Great expectations."
lol harry
crossy and i had that convo before - we agreed that this is the internet and, if you want to look like a male model, go for it
we've sure had our share of fakers here, anyway, so i'm going with the "sports illustrated swimsuit model" look
haha, then I am 5'10", 125 pounds, and blonde :-)
Hey, sue, we're TWINS!!
lol, mimi!
of course, this image will be shattered the first time i meet up with a babbler and it is revealed that i look more like the pillsbury dough boy than kate upton
Even our icons are similar now! OK...now I must poof.
I've met enough babblers that all illusions have already been shattered :-)

Hello Daneel! How are doing tonight? Welcome to the chog
hi dan and daneel
hi folks
Hint for the un12, please
I'm already at about 110-120 words in, and starting to slow down :) -- it's been a few years since i've played this, i've gotten stale
De-classed Bichon
Hello everyone!

Goodnight Lillian! I hope you feel better. See you later on.
Hi Minver, doing good, ty!
Thank you for the welcome! I was ready to give up!
I gave up on the grid a long time ago, but I do have a story
the grid hasn't given up on you yet though minver
Ru, have you read about Flynn McGarry, the 14 year old chef? Pretty impressive.
no.. I haven't.. I think I saw him on TV though.. pretty sharp kid
does he have reddish brown hair?
Yep. I'm sure it helps to become a good chef that young when your parents let you convert your bedroom into a test kitchen. : )
a prodigy..
yeah.. he seemed to know what he was doing..very impressive
He's making his debut with a 12 course meal at BierBeisl next month.
where's bierbeisl?
Beverly Hills
never heard of it
sounds like a german city
fireworks!
... which is good, because I only had 7 minutes left, heh
good for you WW
are you on a timer?
ty!
I only babble between jobs at work. Get to go home in a few minutes--that's my only timer
ah
Good evening Babblers. How is Babbleonia tonight?
Hello again :)
good evening all
hi teach :)
hello smores
cerm
nope
:)
definitely not a wotd
it could be
Good Evening Everyone on this snowy treacherous driving day here.
(Glad we are home and don't need to go anywhere tonight or tomorrow)
A cerm is a causal piece of time
<---going out for dinner tonight
yay me
:)
where are you going? (And yes, you are lucky!) :-)
Just a lot of rain here, temps dropping though, hope it doesn't freeze
CIndy's Wood Fire Grill and Kitchen.. in Saint Helena
she's the owner of Mustards Grill in Yountville
sounds like they may have good food though (esp. if she owns 2 restaurants?)
It should be.. but at least I don't have to cook for once
where are you, smores? We got somewhere between 3 and 5 inches of snow between sleet and rain today
LOL, ru! That's always a big Plus in my book! :-)
Indiana
bet you are liking Andrew LUck out your way smores
do you get our weather; or are you too far south?
(Meaning weather from MPLS/St. Paul MN)
just checked the weather, temps rising, gonna be 50's tomorrow, 60 Tuesday, then 30's and snow Wednesday...crazy
yep, ruru
hi again all, crazy weather here too
hi sue. (((Frank and you both)))
I think we do Nef...some anyways
Hey Sue :)
sounds like our weather, but about a day earlier - snow will come back Thurs and Friday after 50 - 60s on Tuesday and Wednesday
freezing rain now - although no snow - highs for the next 6 days are 45, 58, 29, 17, 17, 30. Go figure.
hello sue
and hi wv, smores, nef, and ruru!
hi again sue.
I saw some shocking weather reports on Chicago.. wow did that look cold
*Imagines Ru is a very hard to please diner*
I put about 10 pounds of salt on my driveway and sidewalks but I think it's all washed away
we're to get the freezing rain tomorrow morning
I'm not really.
I like anything as long as I"m not allergic to it
it was really cold a couple of days ago, ruru, and will be again right after it gets really warm
We are supposed to get sleet and freezing rain in New York
*note to self.. get margarita Blender plugged in in front of sue's house
<--In the sleet and freezing rain zone
yuck
It going to miss me this time, sleet and freezing rain just north of me now
it was nice here today for once
No 4/4 to self, place blender in fr 5/16 of PB for rururocks.
we've missed all the snow this winter, so far we've had maybe an inch
Fortunately, this area has common sense and schools are usually delayed when weather gets like that. So my son will go in late and I will work from home.
Why do you think I'm a food snob molly?
woo hoo! Margaritas in the PB!
Oh I don't think you are a food snob. Just a discerning diner. : )
damn.. the minver-police.. lol
oh.. okay.
I even enjoy taquerias in the mission
Do i
Does an i
Missionary what?
lol
I enjoy that too.. but not when I'm eating
:)
too hard to hold the plate steady
Does an iPad have an asterisk mark? I can't find one on this
doggie style much better when eating
Depends on what you are eating.
ROFL Dan
not sure Min
min I think you need to switch to the 123 pad and then hit the symbols key
yay G's gone!!
The asterisk can be located by pressing the .?123 key in the bottom left corner of the keyboard. It will take you to the symbols keyboard, you will see the asterisk sign in there. Once you're done entering the asterisk, press ABC in the bottom left corner to switch back to regular letters
Found that in a Google search. Sounds like a big pain in the butt just to make an asterisk. I'm not an Apple fan.
<--glad BR isn't around for this conversation
I have an iPad for work and am unimpressed. The keyboard on my phone is a lot better.
could I get some help for the 9, 10, or 12 words?
ge 10/112 peopled Add un for the 12

NOOO....
And that is why Wht is The King Of Babble
HEHE wht
I don't know about you; but in my mind; that was probably the most brilliant thing I've said all day too! ;-)
:) Nef
min, if you're still here - after you hit the 123 key on the iPad, on the far left one key up from the bottom is a key labeled #+- and if you hit that one you can get the asterisk.
I've been trying to find that 2nd row, 4rth column E and I need some help, please. Stats or clue; I don't mind...
Short for very big Nef
en5/12, really big

Hi GE.
12 letter word is mocking me
well, our freezing rain is ending but apparently on Tuesday we are supposed to have thunderstorms and flooding. Sigh.
ooo hadn't heard that sue. of course i've been under a rock.
un12 would describe a neighborhood before the yuppies moved in.

Congratulations dan2bit on fireworks!Hooray for you
LOL! I was too slow to clue anymore! Thanks wht and sue! :-)
The one taking female hormones, Molly.
Makes sense. Probably accounts for all the bleating too.
ha, maybe that's what's wrong with mine, then :-)
Well, time for me to toddle off. Happy Babbling.
May I please have a clue for st6-24? Thanks
Sweet dreams, wht.

Not sure what you mean by oarers Peach.

tr7 ship with 3 rows of oars
trouble with one of the f words....hve the fu 6/30
Someone clued earlier, Molly, with 3 sets of roarers.
oars - even
Well that explains that. Not a very well known definition.
fu7 most
most f**, poor grammar though
duh...i feel dumb....thanks
no...syb...the fu's are dumb :)
i agree
English teachers everywhere throw rotten tomatoes at Enable.
Thanks much, Sue.
The fu/6/7 problem started once fu/3 turned itself into an adjective. Was a noun till relatively recently.
no8-60 please......thanks
informed
Officially informed
Thanks much, syb and jan.
And the no/8/55 is the person who does it
Thanks much, jan.
YW...
I don't get it. Fu3 is an action word. How is an action word a noun?
i need 2 of the 10 letter words....i have ge 10/112
Lots of action words can be nouns. Fu/3 can't be a verb, though. You can't say I like to fu/3, or We fu/3 all the time.
ge10/105 the one who did the ge10/112
On the other hand, nouns can be objects or subjects. So, I like to have fu/3 or Fu/3 with words are possible.
re10/98 re + the no8 just clued
Okay, but it's hard to think of fu3 as a person, place or thing.
Nouns are more of a syntactic category than a semantic one.

Ah...that's the trouble with the school definition of a noun. It's underinclusive.
Ooo, Jan is getting all with the 5 dollar words. : )
Happiness, sorrow, intelligence--all nouns, none really meet the "person place thing" test.
That's the problem with having a background in linguistics...
Plenty of 5 dollar words for fifty cent ideas.
*Prepares to return grade school diploma*
totally true, jan (BTW, are you a re-incarnation of my school teacher Aunt?) ;-)
Actually, most linguists are pretty relaxed about the grammar school rules.
Ooo, a Babble School Marm.
Watch out for rapped knuckles...
Ha! I survived the nuns. Bring it on.
Or is that nuns, I forget?
Ha--I was typing before your comment! We still have a few ex-nuns on the faculty of my uni. And some still have their original rulers, I suspect.
Nuns multi-task with rulers. Knuckle rapping, skirt length measurement...a plethora of uses.
I'd forgotten about the skirts! I remember having to kneel and see if the skirt touched the floor, though.
I was also taught by a priest who could bean you with a chalkboard eraser from 50 feet.
I doubt any of our Jesuits could bean anybody these days. They're all getting on, I'm afraid.
In fact, I'm not sure there are any chalkboards left on campus. Betcha there's a whole generation who doesn't know the exquisite torture of squeaking chalk on boards...
*Adds chalkboards to the list of things to tell my grandkids about*
Here's another. One of my students once mused, "Why do they call it dialling a phone?" And she really didn't know.
I wonder how teachers are humiliating kids now that they can't call them to the front of the class to work out the math problem on the board.
Codgerdom...next thing I'll be doing the "You kids get offa my lawn" thing!
re6-18 the 1st please......thanks
Substance that clabbers milk for cheese? If that's the first one...
When a bird makes a new home.
Ooh.. I didn't have that one. Thanks Molly!
Thanks much, jan and Molly.
I thought clabber is what teenage girls do on the phone.
Haha!
both sides of the joint are present - mo7 and te5 how funny
Course, these days, mainly they txt I think.
I had a gaggle of them behind me in line today, and I swear they are the LOUDEST creatures on the planet.
It's weid how annoying cellphone use is. It somehow feels so much ruder than simply live conversation would.
*weird*
And yes, rasta, I don't think I would have gotten the mo without the te
Finally FW..
The worst is people who wander around stores with those blue tooth things in their ears, who seem like they are talking to themselves.
last 23 words were T's ugh....
YAY, smores!!! WTG!!!
It used to be easy to spot the mentally ill on the street talking to themselves. No more
ty
Smores, congrats. I'm missing 4 t's--out of the 13 I have left.
another hint for the te/mo needed
Furniture making combo--how you might connect a joint.
The mo sounds like rigor's partner, the te a bit like a ligament
Clue please for OR 5?
Dunno...I will look for it.
or+ ***ci beaucoup
om + first three of fish/woman
or + ***maid, fictional fish person
Ahh...thanks

aww, phantom emergence
evening, stid, mkg, mich, et al
I got overwhelmed by crazy chatting and auto-lurked for quite a while but I really like the *good* folks here so after hearing about all the crazy fraudulent ppl/scams I wanted to reconnect with the lovlies <3
hey seain -- you starting to feel better, I guess?
yep. I lurk sometimes, but mostly now I don't have time to play, let alone chat.
as in, right now I am past halfway and NBT with your help so will reluctantly finish the last task before tomorrow.
well, did a lot of walking today, so i'm wiped, but leg is healing, and chest has cleared, so overall yes. Did overeat a bit today, so i'm a bit bloated-feeling, but that will pass. :)
i lurk a good bit too.
I'll see you-all again at some point. **scatters choclits and licorice on way out** *poof*
I have 70 left, happy to clue what I have
thanks for the sweets :)
glad you're feeling better, seain, hope it continues. ((hugs))
be well, stid
frontmen isn't a word? hrumph
huh. it's not. The joys of ENABLE
well, the X word was obvious today, that's nice
okay, I need to finish grading quizzes... til the flip, y'all!
enjoy, mich
Wow,the Federal Government has already announced that it will open at noon tomorrow. I guess this ice storm is going to be more severe than anticipated.
My computer keeps crashing tonight. Stidder; sorry I missed you! And seain, I'm glad you're feeling better! :-)
hope you all stay safe on that coast
And they ask people to stay off roads til 10, so yeah, we're gonna get hit. Freezing rain is supposed to start in the next hour in some areas.
Ty, nef. Still having some edema issues -- should go see a specialist.
not as bad as it was, but still there.
I like seeing the Feds do that. It keeps a lot of people off the roads and decreases the amount of accidents.
indeed it does! I hope the transit agencies are able to step up tomorrow to, not least metrobus and rail, rideon, and fairfax connector.
thank you, DR
Did you get some compression socks? And do you need to be reminded to see a specialist again? ;-)
i even have a referral, just need to call. And i have not. I wish i understood the cause, though.
OMG! FIREWORKS!
congrats, eeyore
WTG CAR!!
that's what the specialist is for
*Fans Car*
YAY, car.eeyore!!! WTG!!!
I was using the list but didn't realize I was that close!
Ty everyone! Ty Molly!
excellent point, nef -- i'l lcall tomorrow :)
How is your boy Car? Any better?
Much better, thank you for asking. He will be going to school tomorrow!
But now the other one is trying to get a day or two off....but he is not sick.
From what I've heard, getting the flu from the vaccine is worse than just getting it the regular way.
oh, that's good news; glad he's better
I think it is.
Whoops! Just realized I don't have the "mom" monitor on!
I hate to move this fuzzy, sleepy kitten....but....
hi all
glad i am not in DC
Hi jmc!
how does it look for weds?
May it all be melted by the time you return, Je
highs near 60 they're saying for Wed
hi jmc.
the boy called to tell me when he went to feed cat the cat was acting twitchy and he heard water running so looked all around. . . .
I wish you all a good evening! ((hugs))
uh oh....
bye car! *waves*
finally went into the basement and it was filled with steam
oh no!
steam! Boiler issue?
he found that the hot water pipe to the washing machine had burst and it was pouring hot water everywhere
oh, no, jmc! What happened?
shinola
so i will go back to a huge water and gas bill. . . good thing he was going everyday
oh dear, How big was the mess?
the pipe? not the hose? oh, no.
he shut off the pipe to the washing machine and said he tried to mop it up some. . .
Ugh. Sorry to hear that jmc
no sure dc. . . sounded like the pipe
*not sure
sorry to hear. may the repairs be easy and not very expensive.
*sigh* i did have other plans for when i got home
fortunately i have a reasoabable priced handyman that i trust. . .
I never turn off the hoses to the washer; will try to remember to do that from now on..
i dont think that is necessary nef. . . maybe if you are going on a long trip. . .
i had been noticing some damp spots. . . it probably was building up to this
fi7/44 help?
My girlfriend found that her old iron pipes to the washer were leaking yesterday and found a plumber who came out and changed them. So you're the 2nd person to tell me about leaking pipes today.
Conflagration abatement technicians
ty Torg!
that was a fish
dr, fi7, males who put out the flames
well water will corrode even the best pipes. . . you just have to keep an eye on them like everything else
ty Granny
what tor said...lol.
ty torg and rose!
anyway the wedding today was a lot of fun
have just sent 2 hours cleaning mother mac's en suite.
yay, glad to hear that Je :)
the bride walked down the "aisle" to dowaddiddy
nice
i think i have burnt all the lining of my nose from the bleach.
was all sang the chorus
oh dear granny!
must be tired then, rose.
*we all
put your feet up and come Babble with us, granny!
jmc; that sounds like a blast!
sounds like a lot of fun, jmc
brb; just thought I need to check the basement (was playing with our grandson down there; need to see if the heater is off and unplugged)
yes, just a little. i also did 4 loads of washing from her rooms. all her bathroom linen( five towels, 4 flannels, a bathmat and 2 hand towels) plus all her bedlinen. how can one little old lady use so much!!!
I wonder that every time i visit my mom and help her with stuff.
she brought home a bacteria from her last sojourn in hospital. the nasty thing leaves pink stains everywhere.
it was the first time i had seen all of her siblings since about 1975. . .
the bacteria leaves pinkc stains? ick!
but the bleach knocked it for six. her shower is snow-white, and all the orange gunk on her tiles has been scrubbed off. and this is after the cleaner has been and supposedly cleaned the shower recess.
our water supply has the bacteria that cause the pink stains in it. Regular cleaning takes care of it easily.
dcs, but fi5 you have to put some elbow grease into it. plus the cleaners are not allowed to use anything stronger thn vinegar. OH&S issues.
okay i am going to bed with 200 left. . . meeting Champfit in the morning for coffee!
Yes, though the pink wipes off with cotton swabs or a damp cloth.
g'night Je, se hi for us :)
bye all
sooooo.....when she goes out the door, i dive in and do as much as possible.
pictures tomorrow!
night jmc, sleep well hun
gorified should be a word -- have you seen or seen photos of some murder scenes.
dcs, i just the rotten stuff out of our home. i had wondered about it being in our water...hmmmm
hah! got the mo9 from that :)
yay, dcs
Here's what the City of Norfolk, Virginia says about the pink stains: http://tinyurl.com/armkcnp
I have the pink stuff in my humidifier, with or without a filter in it, and need to clean it really thoroughly once or twice a week depending on how often i'm running it.
thanx dcs, hadn't thought about the tank for flushing the toilet. going of to do that right now.
glad to help :)
Back. seain, thanks for posting that info on the pink gunk. I really don't like Serratia; it's supposedly harmless and found all over; but that is because the military did some airborne testing back in the 50's (I think it was) and now it's everywhere
interesting bit of info, nef, ty. It only started appearing here in the last 5 years, at least via the water supply.
Serratia Marcesens causes some severe infections in debilitated patients in hospitals and we used to see fairly high mortality rates from it (I haven't been working in ICU for 7 years now; so not currently up to date on that now)
it must be a really tiny bug.
huh. Will ask some current ICU nurse friends about it.
most bacteria are really tiny bugs, dc. From what your link said, the chlorine in the water supply keeps the bacteria count down.
well, here they chlorinate less Oct-Apr and more May-Sep.
okay, so in the warmer months i need to be more vigilant and pro-active with the chlorine.
well, based on the water providers here, i'd say so.
nef, that was where mother mac was last time she was in. poor old thing, i have been getting to wash with chlorhexidine as well.
we have the pink gunk here also. I do use bleach to clean my bathrooms; but I usually clean everything else with vinegar or peroxide. I found years ago that the vinegar or peroxide didn't work on the pink stuff but the bleach does.
it was an amazing thing to see. when i squirted the chlorine onto her tiles, a pink-coloured dribble formed across her shower base. then less than 5 minutes later it had completely gone.
be careful with the bleach, granny. A 1:10 solution works quite well (you shouldn't use it full strength unless you're using a respirator)
unfortunately, i can't do this depthof cleaning when she is at home..i have to wait for her to go into respite care. the smell would probably knock her off her twig.
nef, had the window open and exhaust fan on.
now i am going to let the whole area dry off completely. and hopefully it will be gone before she comes out of care.
but you did say you burnt the lining of your nose with the bleach smell. If you have any type of lung problem; bleach can make you very ill very fast.
May I please have a clue for me6-21? Thanks
it feels like i might have burnt it...can't smeel anything at the moment...

i will never forget the look on my fi5 husband's face when he had ordered the crepes suzette, and his plate came out with 3 crepes which must have been cooked on a doll's skillet.
at the time he was a builder's laborer, and had the body to go with it. and these 3 tiny little crepes were the absolute limit...we all roared with laughter.
HAHA Rose.
sure they were made in a suzette homemaker oven?
lol, i don't know ruru. all i can remember was the stunned look on his face. he had a pretty prodigious appetite then.
then i should take Don to the French Laundry
how's it going, joan?
ummm....okay, i have to ask....french laundry?
Years ago, my first son-in-law was making pancakes for breakfast....he came to the table with 3 of the tiniest things I'd ever seen...so I picked up the plate and put it in my spot....He quickly came and said that they were 3 people.
