They are a bit pricey TK, but they are very nice. I have one ( fluoresent) in a floor lamp in the living room and one in ( regular type) in my bedroom.
I wouldn't bother replacing all my bulbs with them, but they are well worth replacing a few. :)

No. its the vibration/movement of your typing. The button isn't activated but the pad is capacitive and interprets the approach of the balls of your thumbs as a rapid strike and simulates pressing the left button. In theory you should be able to remove the driver for the thing. Have to admit I've never actually tried to do so.

Son of Soodle got pulled over by Security in Gatwick Airport this evening. Passport was taken, and put through a machine. He asked what it was all about, and was told that the machine was scanning his passport for evidence of explosives!!

That's quite standard practice at many airports now, soodle. We've been checked many times flying in and out of Aus and London and also internal flights here.

He stocked up his car with 30+ bottles of poteen (contraband), and he also brought back 25 packs of special Irish wholemeal flour for wives of colleagues who like making Irish brown bread. I said to him, If the Customs lads stop you with 25 packs of fine white powdery substance, not to mention poteen, they will throw away the key. He sailed through. Nobody bothered him!!!!

well yes i am a terrific grandma, no question about it. But when Phoebe was born i made it clear to them that i would be visiting every month, and i think that was a bit more than they might have liked, but they've been accomodating in allowing me to share this large portion of their free time (they both work very hard during the week)
I don't think parents should be considered impositions...I mean, after all, we did a lot for our kids (like let them live in our homes until they were old enough to move out!)

oh they've never complained... i think they've been very gracious about it, and i try very hard to be a good mother-in-law, not step on toes, not question their parenting, etc. But since they lie so far away from me, it's the only way I can be involved.
