Rosie, Rufue, Cleo (the black queen of Veyrier), Ruby, Max (another black one), Ruffino (Rufie) and now Raffie. What's funny is they characterize them as red, but not one of them has been red

they start out pale and, except for the black ones, wind up shaded blonde with tiny bits of red and not all of them
Rufie is blondish with a very white tail and bands of other shades of blonde and brown

they also have totally different kinds of fure: some are silky and curly, others silky and straight and Rufie is sort of bristlely

they are lovely dogs, very independent. Rosie was playful but protective, Rufus was a reserved gentleman, Cleo was a dream, Max was autistic, Rufie is a bumper but timid with stranger, Ruby owned my heart but was only affectionate with me
and they have all been good watch dogs, even Max

it took 2 adults to carry Ruby down to the garden for her burial; they weight about 75 lbs but I think Rufie will be bigger

and their heavy fur makes them look even larger
Do they moult a lot in the summer - I'd've thought they'd be very hot!
I spend a lot of time combing them, but they find shady places and it's not that hot here
they shed all year, so dog fur is a way of life in the Hunter household!
Bet that's relaxing for them and you!
I used to spend mor than an hour a night grooming and massaging Ruby, good for both of us

Rufus had it his last year and ultimately had to be put down because he couldn't walk. With Ruby, it was her heart and I think the deep massages may have forestalled (or even prevented) arthritis

I think tics are more of a problem here - some are fatal to the dogs.
I love the idea of letting dogs run on the beach
in season, I check the dogs for ticks every day
One of our favourite walking beaches is a dog beach! it's also our closest beach!

Photography - yes but I only use a point and shoot but I can usually frame a shot pretty well.
Hubby uses an SLR and has great fun processing and playing with his shots. A hobby I introduced him to! He "plays" photos on his computer while I babble!
I have a good camara but only "point and shoot", can't get involved with anything more
my photo file is in dire need of editing, but I am too lazy and preoccupied to invest the needed time
I don't want a more complex camera - I like mine. It fits in my pocket! it also takes good shots!

I guess it is a pretty progressive group, but I want to make sure I am dressed appropriately. I have friends who have stopped by after temple and they were in linens of certain colors and such. I don't this this synagogue has those restrictions, but I want to make sure I am not offending anyone.

That's fine. Some places will give you a light hair covering. Orthodox places don't do pabnts for women, otherwise nice pants are fine. It kind of depends more on the community style than the religion. Where I live people dress down. In suburbs they dress up more.

i did have some good/bad news about my mam yesterday. she has been having problems for years and different doctors have been saying differnt things but they have finally found that she has an extra enzyme in her liver which has been causing all the problems she'd
