ours syrup season is just about to get under way
I had some maple syrup yesterday..love it.
and it will all depend.we need days slightly above freezing,then nights slightly below with some sunny days
that will get the syrup running
the first year we tapped our trees ... we didn't know what we were doing, boiled down the syrup in the kitchen, peeled the wallpaper, smoked up the ceiling.. chuckle as I look back.. but the syrup was amazing

we learned to do it a lot better.. lol
Sounds like a lot of work to get a small amount..but it is wonderful.
it is why it is so expensive,by the time you filter it and boil it down a lot of raw syrup is lost

It always amazes me how humans found out how to get a syrup out of a tree..i mean they must of seen it weeping..and taste it & thought this is nice..how can i get more.

yup, we stopped as soon as the first leaf buds appeared.. the syrup changed in taste and consistency.. besides, the tree needed it more than we did during its growth period

Our pediatric practice has had a very tough few weeks with 2 deaths in 15 days. TWO children, boys 3 and 2, were beaten to death by their mother's boyfriends. One boy died March 4th, the 2nd on March 19th. We are so sad.

historically speaking, those aren't "young" females. it's our society that has held back the raising of young adults to raising older children.
Ruby, yes, but kids have NO fear about getting pregnant. No big deal anymore. In fact, when young girls realize that being a student is not a role they want their next role is to be a mother. So they make babies, one after another with guys that too often disappear.

Hi, newbie here! :) Is there any documentation on the site that shows how to read the tile stats? I have tried to make sense of them, but to no avail.
What really disturbs me is people using both at the same time :)

If a tile says R 0/25 it means there are 25 words that start with that R and you have found none of them.
Same thing with the word stats 4 0/50 means there are 50 4-letter words and you have found none of them.
ahh ok ty. i thought it just meant that the letter was used in 25 words, and that wasn't making much sense b/c I knew I
had used some of the letters more than the number in the stats, lol. tyvm!
As you find words, it reflects in your stats until your R tile would read 25/25

yes, he's been eating pretty well, Jill, started gaining back some of the weight he lost before we figured out what was wrong. Hasn't been too hungry the last couple of days, but he's still eating.

Windows 8 is like Windows 7 with oversized training wheels, blinders and straightjacket.. If you ditch the Apps desktop and revert to the normal desktop it is much the same. Only had it running for a half hour so no major gripes yet.

I've ordered a cute little interface fro Leap industries that converts any screen to a 'touch' screen. It scans the space in front of your screen and converts 8 cubic feet into a gesture oriented screen. Waiting for it to arrive.....
I am using Win8 on a nontouch screen...let me know where you got it...
