Hi gapeach :)

Hi, flosey.
Hi Flosey :)
I don't think I like this one very much.
i'd like it better if I could find the Y - and hi, all! :)
There've been a few like that recently!
Indeed.
I agree, doesn't look friendly
float your boat for the ya
The y is very straightforward rbud - don't think babblet - common word.

thank you
hey... acryl is not valid.
neither is tichy
the randomness of enable is endless :)
I am struggling with THs and CHs
Good morning everyone!
hi feenixcat
Hi feenixcat
I don't think we've met before
I am in south Wales, where are you?
I'm from Cornwall. Nice to meet you :)
hipe
nice to meet you too :-)
was just about to ask why that isn't a word then remembered it's not the right spelling.
sprite - that ac word you were trying led me to an 8 - same start, but last 4 letters are 'not early'
thanks Glant!
then remove the r form both
you are on a roll :) Thanks again.
you started me off...
teamwork :)
yeah, enable allows the oddest spellings, and keeps out others.
speaking of which, hy6 is a variant sp of the wild dog, grrr
and ic5 is a babblet
oh yes, that one.
and why doesn't enable like lych as in lych gate
perhaps it is always with a capital?
i suppose it must be
now i only have CHs and THs
very nice! I have 29 left, all over the grid as usual.
CHs and THs are challenging
ch7 - as pertaining to a group of singers but with an extra i
*sigh* 10 to go here, but an amazing grid, all the same.
the other 2 ch7s are new to me, spring form the ch5 - which is a variant sp on ch5 - to win at cards by illicit means
cooee to all my friends in babbleland.
morning rose

who knew?
so there is somewhere nearby where visitors could stay ruby?
how nice, ruby!
anybody need a clue before I go and attack the housework?
VERY near by. Up to now, there was only a junky place in the village. When they built this, visible from my kitchen Windows, I thought ity was a small apartent bldg, maybe 8 apts.
enjoy the housework, glant. and please throw up a prayer for me. i am so testy at the moment. DH has suffered the rather sharp edge of my tongue over the last few days.
I am fine, thanks Glant. Good luck with da house!
I'll be thinking of you all the time, rosie
let me have it, rose, I can handle it.
awww, sweetie, sprite, would never do that to you, hun

Hi Owl, love your flabbergasted baby

just noticed, car, you have a new eeyore pic:)) bit of tidbot.there is a fella who has put together 30 or so disney movies and 30 or so classical movies.they are all feel good movies and films to bring a smile to your face.they are however split into 4 part or so,but are easy to navigate and watch.one of them is my sons fav from when he was a child the 1977 version of the many adventure of winnie the pooh.the last one with sterling holloway doing the voice of pooh.just google cornel 1801" and enjoy
I own that one!
But I will check out the videos! TY!
hehe
I am flabbergasted to think that 10 T's come from the right side.

Good morning, all!
morning, Judi
Am I the only one who would be lost without sticky notes?
I have them all over my desk
I use them to get my cat off my desk
and I don't work
I write reminders to do things. Once I've done it, I throw out the sticky note reminder.
My brain cannot be trusted otherwise.
same here
be back soon
*pictures mael's cat with post-its on all four paws* lololol
Greetings, Babble Buddies.
Hiya, Scrabbs!
I work the evening shift today and have a hospital mtg at 12, the rest of the day is mine.
haha, judi, you laugh but I moved my filing cabinet last year and an avalanche, I mean HUNDREDS, of crumpled post it notes fell out from behind it
Haha
woohoo just got nbs
LOL! Did the cat dive into them and roll around?
Go, Harry, go!
she did, I have pictures of it somewhere
I threw the cat off my bed at 5:30 this morning and got a big scratch on my ankle in return.
Too funny. Gotta post that.
she comes and sits by my desk and begs for a crumpled post it note to chase. So I throw her one. And then she stashes them all
behind the fridge, in the washer, under the bed. She needs post-it notes anonymous
that's hilarious mael
Silly kitty!
My kitten loves toilet paper. When he hears you in the bathroom, he comes running.
Obsessive compulsive post-it fetish. Is there a feline Freud in the house?
I had a rabbit once that was tall enough when standing to unroll the TP. I would find messes. That was Callie.
http://tinyurl.com/m6owwsg
Ah, where would we be without animals to amuse us?
The feral kittens living under the house had a turtle this morning. They were enthralled.
speaking of toilet paper: http://tinyurl.com/jwy58bk
Hahaha, Mael
Darn. Can't see tinyurl from this computer.
curses!
My 11 mo old great-nephew also unrolls the TP in every home.
peachy
Babbler Krista and I will meet Thursday evening! She is passing through on her way to Niagara Falls so we are having dinner and she (with her kids) will meet my bunnies!
Thanks, Lex! Didn't have that one.
haha scrabs, I used to TP the entire house when I was a toddler
TY, Lex, just when I hit the wall.
Anybody have stats for the 8's and the 10?

OK, looking now, TY.

pe is more of the fruit
phantom = accelerant
DUH! Ty Lynx, Scrabs and Bea
I am always thrilled when I somehow remember a strange word like the ch5.18
Is the ac10 close to my phantom?
ends with not early, scrabs
Aha, Bea, I had tried ac*** and was rejected. I needed to extend it.
*** me a river
Restarting the server. Be back online in a couple minutes.
Oh, thank goodness. I thought it was just my computer being wonky.

hahaha, congratulations cameron - do you know about more words to help you find the strange ones?
Hi, everyone! Where is crossy today? I have good news....I have a real job finally. Doing radiology transcription at home for a service. This is what I've done most of the past 20 years. Hoping this will be an end to the big financial issues for me. Whew!!!
http://www.morewords.com/
hi mimi! what fantastic news, i'm so happy for you!!!!!
thank you. I'll try that next time and maybe my lawn will get lawned more often.
Thanks, Kate!
lawns can wait, babble cannot ;))
so when do you start mimi?
It is a part-time job, which is what I wanted, so combined with my retirement checks that start coming next month, I should be able to cover bills again without help from my wonderful friends and family. Hooray for independence!
tell that to my neighbors who keep staring and shaking their heads
<waves the flag of independence on mimi's behalf> introduce them to babble, mwahhaahhaahhaa ;)
<---never knew Kate had an evil side.
And Congrats to Mimi.
Very specific people in the Babble community....most of my friends and family simply wouldn't "fit." Their loss!
Thanks, hego!
hi hego :) i think there is a very good mix of people in babble, makes for an interesting dalliance :))
I saw a great recipe for lime/blackberry bars today and copied it but I'm going to make lemon/blueberry bars instead. If anyone wants the EASY recipe, em me at catjdesigns@yahoo.com and will gladly send. Good summer dessert.
whoo hooo mimi!
Hi JMC!
(you just found out about trader's evil side???)
Yes, Kate, we're a mixed bunch certainly but we all share that one trait in common....loving word games.
hi jmc :) sounds delish mimi, letg me know how they turn out
lol JMC. I'm slow.
Thanks, jmc! Now I'll start focusing on getting back into school and finishing my degree.
<----- donning halo and trying her best to look sweet and innocent
go mimi go! i am so happy for you
You do a good job Kate.
*hands trader a dust cloth to polish the halo*
what are you working toward mimi?
A little "evil" is a wonderful thing....makes us interesting.
are you saying my halo is tarnished?????? harumph!
<------ trades in halo for tinfoil hat
you should look at community colleges mimi. . . a bargain! my boy spent his first two years there
Bachelor's in Psychology (ultimately a Master's, too). My ex calls me going into Psychology "the blind leading the blind. Well...he may have a point, but that's also one reason he's my EX-husband!
I agree Mimi!
just dusty from lack of use trader. . . but i have always been a fan of tin foil hats
actually a lot of people originally with issue go into psychology to help other not go through what they went through. . .
I only need a couple more courses to finish. Am planning to go back to online classes. Went to University of Phoenix and very impressed with the caliber of the coursework and the instructors.
(other like my thankfully ex bil are just plan nuts and want to look better than the people around them)
glad to hear that mimi
i like your spunk mimi! don't let anyone put you off! jmc is correct baout people who enter the field.
Yes, jmc, that is certainly one of the reasons I want to be a therapist. I feel uniquely qualified not only to give advice but I have developed some coping and lifestyle techniques that I'd like to teach. It seems like such a luxury to spend the remaining years I have being able to help others.
No worries, Kate....I'm like a pitbull with a bone once I get focused!
how nice. . . i knew you were a sweety
It's also one field where my age works FOR me instead of against me.....experience and wisdom are good traits for a therapist.
it sounds like your future is bright, mimi. i think you will make an excellent therapist... and you can always practice on us babblers ;) bbs
yeah is not working so well for me these days. . . you'd think wisdom would count in political analysis. . .
I'm better equipped to do therapy now than when I was younger also because I am now more fatalistic in my attitude. I know there's only so much I can do and the rest is up to them. When I did paraprofessional counseling in my 20's, I would fret over people way too much....that can eat you up and leave you empty.
*hops on leaning couch*
shall i start with my childhood? ;-)
You have my em address, jmc....ANY time!
:-)
nothing wrong with me that a job wouldn't cure. . . or a second REALLY big donor for my org! haha
Though I need to make some money doing therapy, am really hoping to volunteer with the police and other agencies to help people in crisis....especially focused on domestic abuse. I want to be the person the police call at 2 in the morning when someone needs support.
*grabs trader's halo, polishes it and puts it on mimi*
So---with work, school, writing the book and my other interests, my plate will be totally full....just how I like it!
Oh, no, jmc...no halo for me!! Lots of skeletons in my closet!
that makes the best kind of saints. . . ones with skeletons! no boneless saints for me
And since life is about balance, even though I am a really nice person on one hand, I can be a totally snarky bitch on the other hand!
perfect!
I decided a few years back that at this age I have reached my "crap quota" am simply not taking any more!
stats for the second row E please
nm
*blush*
okay back to paper . . . 99 left. . . bbl
Gotta go--bbl.
bye mimi :)
and jmc too :)

hi lilli :)
molly, i'm one proud mam as the bairn has done really well at school this year and apparently is outstanding in all the subjects that i saw the teachers for and they couldn't believe how well she has done and that she caught up with all the work she missed very quickly and did well in all the test this last month(i'm wondering if it's the same child i live with) :)
hi smores :) long time no see, hope your'e ok
Good news L. Good for your girl.
nice job
Hey Molly :)
i have a big mam grin for that and then a scowl for her behaviour tonight, but i'll go with the brilliant, hardworking child :D
lol..
Proud Mom moments are the best
they certainly are molly
this grid isn't as bad as some we've had lately but still small :(
Yes, apparently your tantrum didn't work. : (
i know, i need to have more tantrums maybe
or we all have a tantrum
lol...guess I missed it
There used to be a lot more variety in the grid sizes.
or as i say 'throw your toys out your pram' :)
Good morning - congrats on your daughters success at school lilli. She's done really well after all she's gone through.
it seems to go from alot of small ones for days and then mid 100's to 300 for days and then the occasional 400-600 once in a blue moon
hi liz :) thanks liz, she's worked really hard as she did last year too.she seems to really love school so i think we made the right choice with her school
please DR G.give us a biggun!! :)
That's brilliant
i would love an 700-800 word one :)
L we needed you yesterday when someone came up with "neither use nor ornament"

hi une, cinder looks gorgeous, i'm sure he'll get a home soon
he's already adopted!! woohoo!
brilliant une :D
did the foster family adopt him or has he f=gone elsewhere?
foster family adopted him -- was just a matter of making sure he and the cat got along . . . and they did :-)
how i did the f=, god knows!!
LOLOL!!
yay done
kudos, science!!
took awhile
Une, you drove all the way to Brooklyn with that dog?
see y'all later
ithe bairn would love a dog but our cat is frightenes stiff form them and even if i get another cat now, either she will run away and hide or be a right bitch the otherone.i've told my daughter she can have as many dogs as she wants when she gets older.she wants to work with dogs, maybe as a dog handler in the police army?
wtg science.bye and tc
noooo, I drove a "leg" -- usually around an hour -- it's a chain of volunteer drivers doin' their thing :-)
Oh, like the underground railroad : D
very cool about your daughter, lilliann
exactly :-)
hi all
howdy jmc :-)
yaya lill's daughter
that's great that people are willing to give up their time to do that une, like you.i wish i could but i take my hat of too you and all other helpers
and yay une
i love it soooo much -- i've met so many wonderful dogs AND people
hi jmc:)
i did go to the rspca near us and said i would be happy to foster cats but they said they had enough people
wow -- here they're ALWAYS looking for fosters . . .
for cats? really? they are always offing cats here because there are not enough homes. . .
that is why i have my cat. . . she was a foundling and the camp was going to take her to the shelter which is pretty much a death sentence for a cat
so even though i really didn't want a cat on top of being a single mother and running a law firm i took her. . .
that was about 16 years ago. . .
nbt (finally)
back again...had to take a call
i've always got my cats from shelters.it would be good for me and the bairn if we could foster, but we don't put down animals here now if they're rehomed
only have 5 min before signing off...will try to get on again tomorrow
good for you jmc and i bet you're glad you did :D
have a wonderful evening everyone :)
bye smores, tc hin
well, even if they're not rehomed even
i would love to foster dogs but as i can't walk them, there is no point, which is a shame as i grew up with dogs
<<<<<Cinder with his new mom and dad :-)
nice une
i can't see it une and i have refreshed :(
hmmmm, wonder why
When you are in Une's profile, right click and hit RELOAD
i logged off and on again and now i can see it :)
great!
sorry molly, i missed what you said but i'll try and remember that in future ty :D
hard to tell in that pic but he's HUGE -- 70 lbs LOL
he has a canny tongue :D
in every pic I've seen his tongue is practically hanging to the ground :-)
they look like a happy family and that they will take good care of him une
i wouldn't want to have a face wash with that in the morning..lol
he deserves it -- he was in terrible shape when he was picked up by animal control -- foster mom in Memphis took such good care of him
how old is he une?
ok gotta run -- great to see all of you! *poof*
bye and tc une :)

Hi there, sue. How are you and Frank this evening?

That's so good to hear.
Frank is done with chemo but is still having some side effects; he will have a scan next Monday so we are anxious about that
You and Frank are inspirations to us. Bless you both

{{Sue, peach}} and hi, everyone! Hey, guys, I GOT A JOB!! Doing radiology transcription at home for a service!
YAY MIMI!!!!!
Congrats Mimi
That is what I've done for most of the last 30 years but voice recognition technology has phased out the job in most places. This one is great because it is part-time, at home, so it doesn't conflict with my retirement check which starts next month. Things are FINALLY looking up after a VERY long and difficult time....now I know how strong I really am!
that is really great, mimi! I am so happy for you!
And since I'm working at home I can deduct part of my home expenses. So glad I was able to keep faith and know things would eventually turn around.
The bad part is that the main doctor they want me to transcribe is the WORST I have EVER heard in 30 years!
But that just presents me with a challenge!
Oh, my goodness, Mimi. That sounds wonderful!
Probably why voice recognition doesn't work for him :-)
ha, so maybe the voice recognition software doesn't work!
snap, tabby!
I actually don't like transcribing but it pays well and I'm very good at it, so..... It's a woman and she talks faster than I thought humanly possible....nearly indecipherable...but I'm GOOD and I'll catch on. Her medical group already tried 3 other services and were told they didn't want to do their work anymore because of her! No....no chance for voice recognition...unless they have some sort of "alien" program!
Does she also have an accent? Some of our doctors were hard to understand because of that
fireworks!
whoo hooo uu!
hi jmc!
No, she's American. But I've transcribed doctors from all over the world working in acute care and they can be very challenging.....she's worse!
Yay, sue!
can you slow down the tape/mp3? i had a computer program that would do that when i was transcribing.
Congrats, sue!!!!!!
Mimi, I just looked at your pictures....darling animals.
Yes, but that only helps a bit. She talks fast in the way where she also kind of runs words into each other....hard to describe.
Thanks, peach...not mine, though. I'm going to post pictures of my grandsons one of these days.....they are adorable even though they look SO much like ME!
Oh, please do.
Peach, are you in Georgia? My best friend lives in Woodstock and she said it was pouring there today. I told her to stop teasing me....can't even remember the last time we had rain in Phoenix.
Mini, do the other doctors know of the problem? Perhaps, well, you may do just fine with her....but if not....maybe one of them might ask her to slow down a bit.
I do know others have tried to talk to her but she's also not the most "amenable to suggestion." Since I'm brand new, I just have to muddle through. The lady who hired me and owns the service wanted me to listen to her before I accepted the job to know what I was in for before I said I'd take the job!
Yes, I am still here. We had a storm about 2:30 this afternoon and a very black cloud came about an hour ago.....some wind and lightening with it but no rain.
That's the bad part about working for a service...you never develop a relationship with the doctors. I'd much rather work in a hospital or private practice where a rapport can develop.
I am SO ENVIOUS, peach! Just really hot and dry here now until September....maybe monsoon beginning of July but maybe not....it has been very bad here....we're in a 10-year drought. I cannot wait until next year when I'm hoping to move either up into the mountains or back to northern California....hey, I may be close to ruru!
Can you query the doctor to clarify if it's just too bad? It's so important for medical records to be accurate and clear.
Speaking of Babble studmuffins, where has crossy been all day?
My work will be reviewed by the lady who owns the service...she has gotten used to this woman but the volume is too much for her to keep up with by herself. I can't actually talk to any of the doctors...she would have to do it....protocol.
I understand. I have a friend (a case worker) who has a boss that makes her life( and the others in the office) hell. I feel very sorry for her....she still has a few more years before she can retire.
As long as there is a process in place to clarify things, that's good.
In the many years I've worked with doctors, I've learned how to "handle" the difficult ones and I simply will not tolerate lack of respect. I let them know that I am a professional, too, and should be treated as such. I also remind them that it is to their benefit to keep me (my accuracy rate is 99%) since I listen for content and keep them from getting sued when I find gross mistakes. I don't have the problems some others have because I draw that line firmly and demand respect.
That's what you have to do. I had a doctor who was considered a bear and many were afraid of him. But I stood up and he respected that...ended up writing me a glowing letter of recommendation.
I demonstrated my expertise once in a hospital where the x-ray report was going straight from me to surgery...caught a HUGE mistake. I told the doctor "This is what you said...but isn't this what you meant?" His eyes got very wide and he just said "OMG." He offered more pay and fewer hours when I told him I was leaving!
'evening, folks!
hi welki!
I also worked years ago for a radiologist who pioneered MRI technology. Everyone was afraid of him but I wasn't...he was a perfectionist and so am I. So he started just bringing all his work to me! The other girls were happy and I was glad to work for such a genius.
Hi, welki! I GOT A JOB!!
*pop* champagne for all!
Am now working on martini #2...may be typing a bit strange henceforth!
Hi there, welki.
very happy for you, mimi - you've had a rough go of it and it's about time things turned around for you
hi peach
That's great...kind of like the one I worked for. He is a workaholic, very bright and knows his coding. I showed him I knew my stuff too and am also hard working.
Thank you, dear. This is such a great support system for me. Babble friends are the BEST!
Mimi, have you lived in Phoenix long?
sheesh - gotta run. g'night folks
Oh, I found a recipe for lime/blackberry bars that I'm switching to lemon/blueberry bars if anyone wants the recipe. Just em me at catjdesigns@yahoo.com and will happily send...great summer dessert.
You just got here, welki! OK...bye, dear.
Sweet dreams, welki.
I've been in Phoenix for most of the past 33 years, with two moves to Michigan and one to Irvine, CA wedged in. Let's just say I've gotten all I can out of the experience........ It's a desert both geographically and politically.
I lived in Atlanta for 4 years in the early 70's when things were just getting exciting there. Sang in clubs in the original Underground....so much fun.
Sue, are you still here? Don't mean to leave you out!
I have a cousin who owns a motel there and one in San Diego.....I don't know the name of it tho. I met my biological people late in life.....was brought up by elderly foster parents.
yes, I'm here, multitasking a bit but following the chat
Peach, we have so much in common. I met my biological mother when I was 22. I was adopted by my paternal grandmother and her 4th husband and raised with my biological father as my brother....yeah, kind of makes one's head explode thinking about it. I'm my own aunt and my own sister!
Oh, I forgot all about finishing this grid....LOL I have 2 left al5-10 the 3rd and an5-10 please....thanks
ok...I'm confused here. I'm looking at the grid and adding up letter values and it does not look possible to me to make a ca4/10. can someone tell me what I'm missing?
al5/10 = a + tardy
you are missing the high point tile in the lower left corner, cathyar
Thanks much, sue.
an +***tric light
an5/10 = an + scrambled snaky fish
hmm...wow. thanks sue.
new word to me. must google it. lol
Where do these words come from and why do I not know most of them?! Always considered myself to have a great vocabulary until playing this game....humbling.
same Mimi...lol
That was it, sue. Hope we get a more interesting grid next.
And my given name is Cathy, dear!
I'm with you, mimi!!
yay peach!
:-)
Sue, finally the AZ legislature changed our Medicaid and I can get benefits as of July 1. I need to get my health under control so I can be the dynamic, amazing woman I used to be!
you go, mimi!
Speaking of upbringing....do y'all remember the old country song, "I'm my own grandpa"? That is kind of like our situations, isn't it?
I am determined to get back on stage and sing classic rock music again!
All I can say, peach, is read my book when it's published....you'll relate BIG time.
Well, please record your songs....I know our Babblers would love to hear you.
Are you writing, for real?
Next year when my lawsuit settles and I, hopefully, have some money, I want to organize meets for Babblers....you are all such amazing people...I want to meet you!
That would be lovely.
We do have many wonderful people here.
Yes, peach, I'm a work in progress. Sprite helped me realize I should just write and not try to organize until later. That opened it up for me. I have had such an amazingly eventful life but what I want to stress is that spiritual development is the most important thing we have to do here in this life. If they ever want to turn the book into film, they'll need to do a two-part miniseries rather than a movie....oh, the life I've lead!
evening all!
I am looking forward to reading your book, mimi, and also to meeting you - I love meeting babblers!
Hi, dan!
It's very comforting to me to know that I can talk with someone who really "cares" 24/7.
Hi Dan.
I feel so blessed to have found this site and this wonderful community. And, peach, you know I am here for you ANY time...and also by em.
hi dan!
Hey there, dan.
Martinis are kicking in so should go and have some dinner. Bye and hugs all around.
Hi Babblers! Hi Cathy!
Thank you Mimi and the same goes for you and anyone who needs someone to listen. Sometimes, listening can be all a person needs.
bye mimi, and hi mymuse!
hi Sue! how are you?
Hi mymuse.
I am good, mymuse. Will finally retire for real at the end of next week!
hi ya pe5!
Sweet dreams, Mimi.
Aah... congrats to you! Still a few thousand more days for me til I arrive there ;)
Need to answer emails.....see y'all at the flip.

Any other clues before I head to the pillows??

Sweet sleeps everyone. Time for bed. See you tomorrow

I don't have it either maggie.
well we must keep looking :)
ca 4/10?
ca 4/10 uses the highest point letter word.
?
seriously...it does. I thought the same thing.
oops...uses the highest point letter.
ignore the word "word". lol
there is only one route to get to the highest point letter from the ca 4/10
ch 7/36 1st 4 of 5/14 last 3 of ri 4/4
u mean upper right corner?
bottom left corner maggie.
k
tyvm
welcome.
2nd ch7/36 (which I just found) is ch 5/14 before it, but remove the last vowel, then two vowels and a consonant.
apparently it is a term used in embryology.
ty
I'm stuck on the 2nd ch5/14
just found it.
change the last letter of 5/16 to a circular vowel
(((((CATHY)))))) hey all!
Hi Stiddy!!! :-)
hi
{{{HUGS}}}
thanks for the help cathy night all
welcome maggie. night night.
thanks to you too!
sweet dreams maggie!
how are you doing, cathy?
have been thinking about you a good bit
I'm doing ok stid...how are you?
"okay" but not great today -- having a series of difficult and impossible-to-resolve things surrounding house and kids. You know the routine, just when you think you know what's going on, the floor gets removed from under the rug...
On the other hand, the most immediate needs are being met, and we'll get through this part too. AND I have tons of ripe strawberries in my garden. So any time you want to drop by for coffee, we can go pick those, too!
Oh ya...I know what you mean.
LOL...long trip for coffee and fresh berries! ;-) lol Would be nice though.
:-D someday, when we are both dripping with wealth (and time) we'll have to meet in the middle I think.
I'm anxiously awaiting my first disability cheque...been a week since they processed it. I hate being late on bills.
I hear you. We have "just enough" I think to get by until we start getting some money from the insurance company for the things we lost. Meantime... There is a LOT that I have been having to replace and procure that I didn't expect. Going to have to switch to using the credit card for a short time until we have money in the bank again!
and on a happy note, I just grayed out both the top and bottom rows, so feel free to ask for clue from those!
I am so sorry stid...I didn't even realize you had a fire till I read through some recent chogs here and on FB...then I put it all together. How awful for you all!
I have been a bit self absorbed in recent months.
Oh dear...stay away from credit as much as you can...the interest kills!
brb...water
back.
I'm glad you are all ok, but so sorry to hear you lost your pets. :-(
that's okay cathy, it's not something I really bring up a lot, but I put it out there for those who care (like you) -- actually, I have to step out for a bit. back as soon as I can
ok...see you soon.
back -- one more piece of bad news in an otherwise pretty crappy day (with bright spots) I think it's time for some wine.
uh-oh. are you ok?
down to 35... and listing.
26 left here...stuck on the ho4/5 of all things...one would think a 4/5 would be simple to monkey. lol
not really -- you can check the fb feed from me, I don't want to put this one in the chog. It's one more pestilence-filled excrementally awful piece of my crumbling reality.
I will check now.
hm.... ho 4/5... like that thing with feathers that Emily Bronte wrote about?
I didn't have that word until you asked for it.
Stid... maybe 2 glasses of wine so you will perhaps sleep tonight my dear. :-(
thanks cathy -- was thinking that might be the prudent approach. *sigh* I
I'll have Matthew sleeping on the sofa tonight, too. So Tom and I cannot really talk about "everything" the way we would otherwise.
Yes, I saw that Matthew is home. Bless you my dear. You have had too much stress lately.
thinking maybe my name is really stressmama... *cross eyes* Other people seem to handle times like this so well -- I have been falling apart frequently this past week. And that's before today. We are "behind" in submitting one of the insurance claims, so it's going to take a while to get that bucket of money unlocked. And I know that they won't pay all of the money until they are sure the extra expenses have been accounted for. So.... *sigh* I get to practice patience it seems.
On the other hand, Cathy -- you are doing better I think? Even though you are waiting on that check, it seems when I see you online you are more upbeat that you were for a while. Or is it that I have been too self-absorbed?
I wish there was more I could do to help you.
"listening" to me yammer on is actually helpful.
poor Tom already know what I am going to say! LOL
I'm coming along I think. Blood pressure has lowered, but that is because I've not been working. Still so much to be done with mom's estate matters and so much work needing done on the house, dad's health is a worry...plus my own fears worries and phobias. I don't want to go back to work as soon as they want me to. (July 8 I think unless doctors say otherwise).
You are lucky to have Tom, my friend. The support of a loving spouse means everything.
You two have been through a lot together.
I "hear" you cathy ... I am glad the blood pressure is better, wish I could help with some of the little details and spare you some of the extra annoyance.
hi stid!
It's not so much an annoyance...just difficult carrying all the load.
Sometimes it's the little things that make me the most irritated these days -- deal with tearing down the house? No biggie. Take care of changing the phone numbers? Heavily impactful.
hey sue/frank!
I know...when lots of things are going on, the small stuff feels like it can break you.
boy, that is really true, stid! it's the little things that can really tear you up.
sue, are you on fb? I had a personal question...
I am, stid
okay, cathy, brb again
np
okay, back-ish, going to multi-task a bit
I'm just gridding along here. lol found a few more...21 left
I finished earlier so can clue
oooh. I was going to list, then I got distracted, and now the wine is starting to work... this could be an interesting hour!
thanks sue...hy6?
31 now
hy6 is like the laughing animal but with an extra vowel in the middle
ah, great clue!
ty sue!
just want to say publicly, that I am so grateful for all the love and support I get from my friends here (and in fb)... it makes really awful days like this manageable
((((stid)))) I have gotten through a lot of pretty awful days at least in part with help from my babble friends!
:-)
I feel the same. without online friends things would be so much harder.
Don't get too worried about how you "handle" extraordinary events in your life. People who know and love you will understand that things can change you or make you do things they didn't predict. They will also see that though you may change a bit, you are still the same person.
isn't it strange, though -- here we are, supposedly people from a generation too old to understand "virtual relationship" and all, and yet finding the support and community we need online.
hi torgone!
(((tor))) wise you are, oh man of mystery!
I don't usually worry about what people think about how I handle things, I just worry about getting to tomorrow in one piece
okay, "thirop" is NOT a wurd, but worth trying, since ALL toothless kids like pancakes!
I always laugh at the stereotypes of people my age not knowing about technology - I've been using computers since 1970!
lol....
well, there are a couple of words that are pretty close to that, stid!
anyway, I am going to go put up tomorrow's icon and then go to bed
:-) thanks for stopping by, sue! love to frank and a bunch of choclits for you. (((hugs)))
How you get through things is what makes you unique .. Sometimes you ace it, and sometimes you break down and cry or break something, but it is still you, and that's what you hang on to, and that's what close friends and loved ones will see and appreciate ..
Anyhooooo ... Heyas kids!
ah, two ways to spell excellent olympic native american runner Jim's last name! :-)
heyas, torgone, hail and farewell!
See you all tomorrow...
see you sue!
