I am beyond thrilled. I drove past the piano dealers, on Eculid Av in the hard-times suburb, East Cleveland, sat down to play, shmoozed with the owner, and have something I've wanted my whole life. Nothing plays like a Steinway. No Baldwin for me, no Yamaha, no Kawai, no Knabe (tho Knabes are quite lovely)...you get the pic.

Well, it's been on my mind for a while, both parents are gone and I have a small inheritance. Really, when mom passed away there was to be a distribution but my dad put the kibosh on that. He once said he got sick when he had to part with money. Boy did I ever not get that gene. So, somewhere mom is smiling at me, and dad will when his urn stops rotating wildly.

I did make a video of me playing my old piano, a 1917 Henry F Miller that I bought from a friend when I was 16 for $350 with my babysitting money. It served me well.

oh, btw, we lashed out and bought a pair of ornamental owls, life-size. we have some very active possums here, and they like to fight on the verandah roof, right outside our bedroom window. and not just that, but they leave rown beans all over the cars and the driveway, and they have been stripping the buds off our decorative pear tree.

ugh, pugs, so totally understand. over here when it becomes that hot, i usually cook a roast of beef, lamb, or chicken overnight in a slow cooker. put it on a plate in the fridge in the morning, and voila, you have cold cuts ready for dinner.

hardware is not that tough, just swapping out parts, software probs can be very tough occasionally.

na, computers becoming so cheap that people replace more often than repair, and more moving to laptops, much less you can do for a laptop on site.

you can get a 200.00 desktop that will do much more than what you have. video for one will run smoother
the big tower is what makes it a desktop
though some desktops have comp built into an oversized screen now
Ive seen on the market where its all built into one or a much smaller tower then what I have. I do like having a large screen in front of my nose

I've read something similar to that. I have also read opinions that the over use of antibiotics contributes to food allergies. It's hard to know what, exactly it is.
I just know that when I was in grade school, no one was allergic to anything. There were no restrictions on what could be sent for birthday parties or bake sales.
Some schools won't allow home baked goods for parties, or the cake walk game at carnivals. Everything has to be store bought and individually wrapped

None of the issues at our schools have to do with nutrition or obesity. They have to do with allergies.
Our schools can no longer have candy as treats / rewards. Must have nutritional snacks - veggies, fruit for parties. Cannot have soda during school hours.
I don't remember hearing much about allergies when I was growing up. But probably some kids were sick because of that and just didn't know what caused it.
I remember when grocery stores didn't have a whole isle of chips and pop
Luckily, thery think it is aw tree nut allergy and not to peanuts. And so far, he has developed itching, hives, swelling but no breathing problems. They have given his parents an epi pen, however, to carry. But right now Benadryl solves the itching, hives.
I do too, but chips and soda were just evolving as commercial products back in the 60's so there was no need for an aisle for them.
Teach, that has to be scary. I'm glad there are no breathing problems.
