lol, MIL won one of those small organs while visiting us in Ontario, we had it shipped for to BC - there it sat, totally uncrated, until long after she died - SIL was selling her house and hubby asked for it - we gave it to a family with 2 young kids
pugs, hospital are starting to make noises about her coming home. don is doing better, still coughing, but doc says it's a normal thing post pneumonia
our own kids would have enjoyed it, they were elementary school age then, and it was probably about 25 years later that we got it

well....the dishes had to be washed, two loads of laundry to be sorted, folded and ironed, the canary cage was absolutely gross, had to hand wash support stockings ready for work tomorrow, write the shopping lists, and that was before 9:30 am.

we have been deluged the last couple of days.. last night roads were flooded and closed.. we are supposed to attend a conference this morning, hope the roads have drained
we live on a rather steep hillside, so flooding is never a problem. That sounds horrid and scary
quite a lag time between typing and posting in chat.. one message just seemed to disappear..

My brother was cut off in a small town in Colorado for several days until they managed to rebuild ma bridge to get all the residents out. I believe at one time he woke up in the morning and found that everybody apart from him and one other had left town!! Considering he is 85 he took it very well!! And immediately took off for his cabin in the Rockies laughing all the way!!
that's quite a story, deeha, and good for him!
He did tell the builders that Patten could have done it in two hours - not sure that made him too popular!!
