Morning Sprite and hugs
hi flosey :) I hope you are well today?
hi there pugs, didn't see you earlier
hiya pugs *hugs* :) How are you today?
much better now thanks Sprite
glad to hear it, flosey.
" Iam singing in the rain!"
and you Mrs Sprite?
what a happy song pugs
aw nice :)
had a bit of a rough time after first day of therapy. But am feeling better now. Will have a meeting with the youth prevention team this afternoon, about Tim.
thanks Flosey! yesterday I had the blahs --dont know why, just did
I think we all have days like that pugs - as long as there aren't too many
hi there everyone
some days are like that, pug... hormones... weather... how you slept... some other stuff... glad you are feeling better now.
hi sandy :)
Hi sandy
good luck with the youth group Sprite
hi spritey hi pug and hi flosey hope you are well
thanks flosey. I hope we will be able to get tim back in line.
Iam fine today Sandy and you?
hi there sandyloo - my daughter's nickname
her middle name is Louise
am ok, sandy, bumpy road atm but hanging in there. And you?
that was my moms middle name too Flosey
love it
flo we are keeping well but our pony has laminitis due to too much grass - we have had a very wet winter here
I like that name too. One of my sisters name her daughter after my mom, using that as her middle name too
Sprite, I hope the road is not too bumpy !!
aw poor pony
oh dear, that doesn't sound good at all, sandy
my fault for not venturing out in the storms to bring him in at night- I feel bad
ponies are easy to get that
I think not, sandy. Looks like I can handle it.
is it treatable, sandy?
that is the main thing sprite-- and yes pug I knew that so that makes it worse but he is improving
the treatment is anti inflammatories and starvation
glad he is improving
thats him in the photo
looks like a sweetie
whats his name
Champ!!
ah, a champ will overcome this. No worries ;)
He is going to a show in the fancy dress with some children we know so I hope he will be better by then
He will be Harry Potter and the kids will be Hermione and Ron
he is a beauty, sure hope he does make the show
Ive owned a few founder ponies and as long as he gets the right treatment he can overcome it
Glad to hear that Pug, in all these years I have never had a horse with founder so this is a first (and it's all my fault)
Any hints Pug? I think we are doing all we can.
sometimes it just cant be helped, Sandy
If he has heat in the feet, soaks are good and plus what you are already doing and making sure the hoofs stays trimmed
The feed here is insane - we have no where to keep them off the food except for a walk in walk out where champ is with nothing to eat (and it was my fault - i usually shut him up at night- he has no heat in his feet and no obvious pulse so I hope we have caught it in time
Hoofs are very well trimmed we always keep on top of that
It sounds like you have. Is pasture all you have? You dont have a dry lot
all we have are paddocks and paddocks of grass- we are yet to get sheep and cattle to keep the feed down- we are learning a lot this year
I had a pony one that got(what the old timers called road founder) riding on hard surfaces
*meanders through, buffing nails* well hello everyone...didn't see you there. having a good day, i hope?
playing nonchanlant, ro4, cause you are in the grid today? :D
hi meandering rose
hi gran, I hear you are having wild weather in Melbourne (my son is flying there tonight to go to a wedding)
Sandy, you might invest in a muzzle(cage type) that he can still drink from but limits his intake of feeding
*giggle* hey sprite, flosey, sandy, pugs
look rose, squirrel
sandy, hope said son has a strong stomach. it's still very wild and woolly here
Hi Rosey Posey! lol hugs
roflol, joso...look joso...popcorn
Pug, we have already tried that but he keeps getting it off - LOL- he hates it and when he sees me coming with it I can't catch him!!
where where, all I see is this &%$%&*(^%%$Y^&^% carrot stick
The weather can't be worse that we have had in Margaret River- worse winter for 30 years

sprite is eating breakfast and Rose is about to eat supper--lol
am gonna make myself a folder for everything related to the clinic. I want to write a bit about the process every week.
yeah...food....having chicken, crispy noodles and salad tonight
that's a good idea sprite
helps to stay focused, I think, flosey, and in time also to keep track of progress :)
keeping a diary is a good idea, sprite. then you can look back and see how things have changed for you
oh tasty, ro4!
homemade noodles?
nah...haven't the place/facilities to do so
you wanna know how often I am supposed to eat?
6 times a day
yes!
that is SO often!
but it keeps you non hungry and your sugar balanced
yes, I can totally see the reason. I will learn to do this. I just breakfasted (yay me) and I have already picked out my snacks for in between the meals.
trying to do it at the same time each day helps balance the sugar too
once you can get into it, it just might help on the ED too
I had a horrible binge eating episode after the first therapy day. Yesterday I was not at all feeling ok, spent most of the day in bed. And have decided this was my last binge. Am seriously gonna try and stick to the 6 times a day scheme with more or less healthy food.
Yesterday must of been a blue day for us all!
make it interesting sprite as well as healthy
lol indeed... dark clouds over babble
will try, flosey. I have decided that my first focus should be on eating regularly, 6 times a day. Once I have managed that, I will take a closer look at what I am eating.
yay for you sprite. it does take a lot of planning, but i know you will do it. understanding the role of insulin or lack of it in our diet regimen will help you a lot.
drinking lots of water is a big plus too
I learned something new on Monday about cravings and binging. The dietician told me that when you don't eat for a while, the body starts to need food so bad it makes you long for quick energy givers... hence a craving for chocolate and very fat food. If you eat more regularly, the cravings are less and also less for bad foods.
thats understandable
yeah, true, pug. And that, I can do.
down to 9 but afraid I must get to bed, very sleepy - goodnight all
a friend of mine is a HYPOglycaemic. which means whenever she eats anything, her insulin levels shoot up alarmingly high. her body converts all the sugars so fast, she then feels constantly hungry. she has to be very careful of how much sugar she eats, otherwise she could fall asleep.
night flosey, sleep well!
night, flosey. hope you rest well, and awake refreshed
thats scarey Rose
night Flosey
thank you, I will]
that is a risky affliction, ro4
i'm like that with carbohydrates.processed carbs in particular
thats what I woried about on Joso, being alone and cheating on his diet
she tries to maintain only vegetables and protein during the day. the evening meal she can let it rip, as she is going to bed soon after.
oh but joso is an old hand at being a diabetic, pug. He may 'cheat' but he knows exactly what he is doing.
even fresh fruit can trigger an insulin cascade
that would be bad if it happened while driving
some fruits are kind of high in sugars
yeah, when we go out for lunch, i watch her very carefully. she is pretty good about monitoring herself
clues for ci6 and ca6 please
ci6 those who quote ca6 a sweet and oldfashioned word for playing around

yay, pugs, well done
I get to do laundry today!
*giggle* and a smug look...done mine!!
Lucky You!
yesterday was a blah day for me
poor pugs. hugs sweetie.
we got one heck of a mess over here with this health care thing :(
saw on the news tonight. it's appalling.
no big reason why it was, just a pity-party day--lol
Iam just praying its not going to last very long
they are saying it loses 200millions dollars aday with all these things shut down
tell the politicians to take a pay cut...there would be plenty of cash then...
wouldnt it though!
they had so many trying to get this health care that it crashed the computers
the rep. dont want it and the dem. does
and what do the general public want?
well the poor and those who cant afford health insurance wants it or those that the insurance companies wont carried wants it
that is reasonable...
our president wants everyone to have health insurance
well that's just unrealistic...most of the population can't afford it.
I think so too. E1 should be able to have health care
over here, if we have private insurance, it reduces the medicare levy payable at tax return time.
the way I understand it is that it will be based on your imcome
the insurance companies don't want it, they currently add 40% to the health costs of america, so there is lots of money being spent to convince people it is a bad idea. The republicans are thier political voices on this issue.
Rose our healthcare here is so high
yes, i know, hun.
we have alot of people that goes out of states to just get meds
not sure how it compares to us or england.
okay, bbl. need food
and like our hospitals, they none have the same prices on anything
Health care here is free at the point of need. We pay health contributions according to how much we earn
okay Rose, enjoy and hope you rest good again tonight--hugs---Iam leaving too, so see you Joso and the same to you
but it is in a bit of a mess at the moment and there will be changes
Hi Kallia, sorry about taking leave just as you came on
no problem
net cost of health servises to the national economy in Canada, UK, Oz is about half of us costs, and all people are covered. The leading cause of bankruptcy in the us is someone getting seriously ill. Even those who thing they are covered find thier insurance tops out at 1 or 2 100,000 dollars, then the savings, house, etc goes
by pug, rose, have good days
good morning
back....hey ruby {{ruby}}
{{roses}}
how are you doing? My best friend in MD who has been riding horses her whole life (she's 69), got thrown last week and broke "3 small bones" in her back.. I don't know what that means, but it is a horrible thing.
uh oh, I hadn't started the grid, so didn't know you were in it! Join me for a cuppa in the PB?

sounds good to me, it's surely after 5PM someplace
well it is here...lol
and I'm not too fussy about time, never wear a watch
atta girl...
see you later,kiddo, husbandneeds me
same here, hun, don't think it's for the same thing...bye
Hi everyone: The ones who mess up every different version of national healthcare by making it all unaffordable are the DRUG COMPANIES. Our National Health Service cannot afford to treat people with the best drugs for whatever they suffer from and consequently good people die early. Are the drug companies really untouchable?
Hello, Patxxx.I tend to agree with most of what you say...i also think bad managment plays a part..On a different note,i like your profile ranting :-)
*poof*
Patxx are you still there?
kest
kenic
whoops, pat
I tried both of those, not!
Yes, still here. My cat came in with a shrew, alive, for me and as they always do it ran off. Caught it and returned it to the wilds of the garden. Cat miffed, me wet. Apologies for extra words.
my cat, years ago, used to bring me those "gifts". Many were so injured that I had to kill them. Now, my young dog watches for injured birds and tortures and kills them. She's like an enormous cat
My dog is a Lab and I swear he once protected one but his real boss is a female cat and she watches him like a hawk now and he obeys her orders. She also cleans his ears. ears, check his body for whatever. I think I caught her cleaning his teeth once! The other male cat avoids both of them but is nice to me.
For ears number 2 read eyes. Just had cataract op and can see again but my right eye will need doing next.
my dogs are one year apart (he's almost 2, she's 9 months) and they seem to love each other but roughhouse to the point where I can't watch. He drags her by the tail or ear and she goes after his undercarriage
lpts of jumping and thumping but no blood, so I guess it's OK
I once had three dogs and two cats, supposedly each had a child parent. HAH! As usual mum did all the feeding etc. I limit them now. In fact it is two of my kids who brought the current animals. NO MORE.... hahaha
sure, and then some pretty little stray will come to your door......
we keep the kitchen door open at night and a cat used t come in and eat the dogs' food and they never said a word (not these two, though)
do you have any 8;s? I'm stumped, don't even know where to look
One did, my current husband. Wish the others had been like him. Back to Babble. I'm not safe doing both gossip and play. My Lab will eat anything, as they do, and the cats know they have to be sure they have really finished eating.
bye, then, it's siesta time for me
There are in8 x 4. Got one - a request to go to a party = 1x6, 2x7 and 1x8

*names
Peri...Blacklist...do you think her husband is really a bad guy, or did Reddington plant that stuff?
good question, Molls, I am not sure?
what do you think?
I think she is going to think that Reddington planted it and it's going to turn out he really is a bad guy.
:(
Also, I'm going to be disappointed if she turns out to be his daughter. That seems so obvious.
oh, no. I never considered that
ro/6 a list of names
Well, one of the big questions is why is he so interested in her. That seems to be the first logical guess.
and he know a lot of stuff about her, personal things
I think it's a good show with a lot of interesting twists. Showing the brand on Reddington's bodyguard at the end was a nice touch.
it is a good show and I really, really like James Spader
that was a nice touch
That show would be nothing without him. He's great.
I shudder at all the "in"s

I have to work today, grandson is watching Sesame Street; I've popped in for a few minutes
Tom Clancy? DH will miss him.
He was a gifted writer.
I enjoyed reading him in the past; I'll probably go back to reading the rest of his books again some day
Sesame Street has ended; off to play with Ronnie. BBL!

Sounds devine, Peri! Thrift shopping is tres chic!
there are two nices one right near me and the prices are better than goodwill!
good morning :)
but I know some people who will not go near a thrift store. they don't know what they are missing
hi nan
hi nan
There are 3 in 8's Peri
ok, will look again, molls, ty
Sorry, 4
I go to the Goodwill shops near us at least 2-3 times a month. Sometimes I find clothes as nice as what I donated!
the one I have is to ask someone to a party or event
true, Judi
found another in8, ty
the sound one
The other one is to8
ty, looking
ty for to8, Molls
We actually have a Goodwill distribution center right up the road from where I work. I have not been there, but my friends say they sell stuff by the pound! They just wheel giant carts full of mish mash out and you get to dig your way through. Then they just weigh your purchases. It's ridonkulous. I so want to go. My one girlfriend has made a nice little E-bay venture out of her finds.
wow, that sounds great. are you in Delaware?
do all distribution centers do that
Yes, Peri.
I would love to go
I go to the good will close to Baltimore Pike (rte 1) do you go to that one?
I tried selling stuff on EBay from Goodwill and didn't have much luck
I have no idea. It's kind of a grimey adventure (you'd want to wear gloves and bring your hand sanitizer), but it sounds like fun to me.
I usually hit the Goodwill in Newark and the one in Prices Corner in Wilmington.
Ebay buyers are wary of the term "used" unless it is something vintage
I am missing 2 in8
I've only tried clothes with tags still on them
One is beginning prefix + the last three letters of what cowboys ride
found another in8
ty that is the one I found, Molls
I have 3 in 8's and a to, what is the other one
Person who cashes a check?
I have that one
Another in Bich
?
Plural of a person who enunciates words?
Another in8
I have all the ins and to the to, what's the 5th one
doh, I don't, so dense
Molly is that in6/7/8? if so I have them too
No, it is not in6/7/8
then that is the one I am missing
in 6,7,8,7 (two sets)
Oh sorry, it is. Well then you have them all Peri. That one, the party one, the check cashing one and the one that ends like what a cowboy rides, that starts with beginning prefix
Yikes, the 3rd in 8 is a tongue twister
I only have 3 in8
Beginning prefix...as in In4 To English Lit
maybe lunch will help me
In5 To English Lit...I cannot count today
that was the one I needed, ty Molly
Hmm. The other secretary has locker herself in the bathroom. Perhaps I should see what the problem is. BRB.
oh dear, Judi
roset
<--Not going to make a joke about picking a lock in a cop shop
False alarm.
Fireworks!
¸¸.•*¨*• Judi!! ¸¸.•*¨*•
*!* ta da *!*
¸¸.•*¨*• Nan!! ¸¸.•*¨*•
congtrstsd nan and judi
love the fireworks, molly
how did you make them?
It's a symbol I found on a discussion board.
has everyone here finished, or is Peri still working on the grid?
will be on my way, unless any clues are wanted...
not even halfway - just got back home
Have a good day Nan
ah -- you have a ways to go then
yes i do
do you have all the in's, teach?
i got the 8s that were just clued - came home at the right timre
then you must have the 6's and 7's that go with 2 of them
on my way - back at the flip :)
HAGD nan
still working on the grid
109 left :(
bl
hmm, too dense to get in clues...
molly, did you watch nashville yet?
Yeah, Deacon is a putz.
lol why do you say that? the flashbacks?
Well, that too. But taking the rap for drunk driving when he wasn't? Pathetic.
yeah that story line was pretty lame
i nearly watched the once special but decided i did not need to be tied to another show.
I wasn't impressed with the Nashville premiere. I am quickly losing interest in the story lines.
i agree. it was a last bastion of reular tv watching here.
The only show I really look forward to anymore is Scandal.
is the forecast or down there hot through the weekend? due to go to len echo but the oranizers are scrambling for another venue.
Mid 80's Saturday and Sunday. Why another venue?
glen echo is a national park
Oh, duh.
i thought not, since it is operated in conjuntion with md, but it is closed.
screws up the hotel arrangements big time
Hotels should be accommodating to the Fed shut down.
we willl see. debating carpooling or driving and need to decide very soon. a few days away in this glorious weather is a gift.
later, all.
howdy again everyone
i see that Tom Clancy passed:(
bit of a crossy tidbit to go with that, when he published The Hunt for Red October it was very accurate,a little too accurate and the powers that be in the white house at the time actually called him in for a debriefing
Crossy, did you hear why? He was only 66. I just heard a few minutes ago.
I didn't hear the cause, is what I meant.
no,i did not hear why
such a shame!
read 3 other reports.a cause of death is not given
thx. We'll hear eventually. I was just shocked, initially.
Me too. A year younger than I am. Said it was a brief illness
se 5, second one, pls
sounds like a penny with a vowel at the end
thanks so much Bea

Hello river, nice to see you on babble!! Hello again TO, how is your s-i-l?

*watches tumbleweed blow by*
*Puts up GHOST TOWN sign*
Wow, just did a HUGE run thru the I's!!! Feeling energized!!
yay jilly!
It's so cute the way WooTy gets all excited about things like that. : D
Looks mighty improessive...LOL
i am falling asleep here.
Nap time
*tucks TO in*
it's the OTC reading glasses
I can't use those....too nearsighted...
no, no, need to go todance class tonight.
Yes, but think of how energized you would be. Or...you could just do a HUGE run through the I's. : D
i think i will take some OTC vitamin b
It's an over the counter kind of day.
apparently. :) did not sleep well
LOL...will that include alcohol?
i'm fresh out.
Best over the counter drug available.
except for the honey bourbon nip sized bottle
no it will make mefall asleep. a little does help the lesson though
LOL...Lord knows hooch will just increase my sleepiness. Late nites/early mornings last night and tonight....what I do for music...*sugh*
little bottles are everywhere in CT, best thing about the state.
*sigh*
whom did you see, jilly?
No concerts sadly, choir practice...
ah.
But at this time, no work on Friday!! Planning on sleeping in then canning/drying/freezing the last of my garden goodies...
sounds great. i plan to go to DC
Ahh...with harpjane's babble meetup?
ino. did not know there was a meetup
Yes, I forget, are you on FB?
not in the babble group.
Just back from an aromatherapy massage. it was wonderful
it is in wash dc?
Yes, will post link and copy info here in a moment
Ty, does not matter. i prefer to be a bundle of electrons ineracting minimally with others of the like.
DC area meet up, October 16. Tickets are only 15 bucks and the concert IS not cancelled! Come join seain and harpjane! Try to get seats in the area of Orchestra R 6-8-10-12. http://tinyurl.com/mgz8tcf
thanks, but no thanks.
Okay....brb then...need to get a snack
ig
sorry about that.
how is everyone?
I'm good Phan. TO is a bit sleepy and Jill has gone off to eat her lettuce leaf. : D
ok. I hope Jill enjoys that lettuce leaf. TO, you should probably take a nap...
I am enjoying my last week before I start my job.
and nobody cares that I just had a wonderful aromatherapy massage
phan, are you a new RN?
Oops, I must have missed that. And Peri is relaxed and smelling pretty.
:)
jealous of Peri!
Yes, Peri, I am a new RN
there is a holistic health center across from where I went and I made an appt for an eval. for next week. I am taking care of ME.
I think anyone who gets spa time is very fortunate. It's good for the soul.
I thought so phan. I wish you much luck in your new job. congratulations.
good for you, Peri!
it is money well spent
need to drink lots of water for the rest of the day
Thank you, Peri, I am excited and of course nervous at the same time.
It IS money well spent. And yes, good for you Peri. Taking care of yourself is a lesson a lot of women don't learn until way too late in life.
Yes, the water is very important, Peri. I once had a massage and didn't know that and I felt way worse the next day than I did before the massage.
it is out patient or in patient work, phan?
well I am no spring chicken :) but better late than never is what I say
In patient. I will be working on the oncology unit at Berkely Medical Center.
I made an appt in a month for another wonderful massage.
sounds like a great opportunity phan
My theory is that no one else will do it, so you might as well take care of yourself.
indeed
exactly, Molly!
going to read for a while. bbs
Wow, congrats phan!! Good rewarding, but difficult work!

Smile-repair-person required! Apply to Jillyjill. 😄
Soodle!! Hey, getting closer to a trip to Ireland...a friend is moving there end of year!!
what a pia lol
sorry, wrong end?
Hi Jilly & all! Tell your friend to pack warm clothes!
Where's she moving to, do you know, Jill?
Oh, the complaints about "the prep" go in one ear and out the other. It's the ones who are high need, high strung nervous nellies, or the ones whom think they are entitled to a day at the spa...
Dublin
Lol @ endoscopy nurse talking about in one ear out the other! I'm thinking 'in one end, out the other....'
Soodle, can you give me the phonetic pronouciation for Padraig?
me, too!
LOL...true dat
Paw-rick. It's the Irish version of Patrick.
I did know that it was Patrick, just can NEVER remember how to say it!! It's the man she's engaged to.
tha is an odd pronunciation, i would not have guessed that
Which is exactly why I can't remember how to pronouce it!!
At my wedding, the best man was English. He read out a card from a Padraig, & pronounced it Pad Rag, understandable, but hilarious.
Second marriage or are you hanging out with the younger set?
i'd better go see about dinner so i have time for happy hour.
well, 84 left...time for a break...be back in a bit..
Bye girlies.

WooTy was thinking wine-mobile
And wow, Bich knows all the fancy names for flowers.
Too nice a day to be in the pb, jilly. We are starting to have blue skies and the air is lacking droplets of rain.
in the 70's here today....more like end of June than beginning of Oct....
So, let's spring jilly from the pb and get her some sun screen so she can enjoy the warm weather where you are penquis.
yes!
Sneaky, sneaking, snuk. Throws pebbles at the pb window. Follows with a large rock tied to a rope. Attached to rope, a rope ladder. Fortunately, it is a one-story building.
I'm FREE!!! ty all!
We should hurry as it looks like a shower is about to open up here in the great northwest and it might be close to jilly and her pb window. Great!!!
intermittently sunny here, not warm but nice...storm's on the way thoug
Now to work on words.
ty grandmere!
Now. Back to work here after a little break.
Gran Mere organizes a prison break. Who would have thought? : O
Took a break to figure out what in the world I am going to do with all the plums and apples hubby has picked....*sigh*
Oh, Molly, Babble is so good for the brain, I can remember things that never happened so why not help a Babbler who, through no fault of her own, finds herself amongst the shambles of the penalty box. I could usesome of jilly's apples to make mince meat.
Man, went from thinking the blossoms had frozen and there would be no plums or apples to wondering how I will cope! Mincemeat is a great idea!
I like applesauce, too. My apples this year because of the wet spring have a terrible fungus called scab that has ruined the crop. Not being a farmer, and really dumb about growing things, I didn't realize what was happening until harvest.
Will definitely be doing applesauce. Also goint to some of both
*going to dry...
sheesh!
i've never known what is in mincemeat but have now looked it up - it sounds so good. lots and lots of ways to make it.
in the 19th century it was meat, meat by-products and prunes.... not so appealing, but probably tasted good.
likely to make one bilious, i think
My gramma used to make meat mincemeat...it was wonderful!
<------------------!!FW!!
but fruits and brandy sound nice.
rah jilly
I haven't had mince pie in years. I have a recipe for a layered one, custard on the bottom, mince on the top. I might make that for Christmas this year.
Yummy...want some apples?
Sorry, I needed to play games with Murphy. I like to make a mince pie with sliced apples on the bottom layers as if it were to be an apple pie, then the minced mixture, and the top crust. Served with whipped cream, it is very good with coffee.
Congrats jilly on fw!!
BABble just went down on me....
Ah, pizza is ready. (Don't listen WooTy, you will bloat)
me too jilly
ooo...going to have to remember that one stidg!
fall is in full bloom here:)) you can walk in the woods and actually smell the leaves as they change from green to orange to firey red:) and smell the apples being harvest and the blems squeezed in the presses for hard or soft cider.the sugar maples are wearing their fall finery and there is a small nip in the morning air as if it is offering a change of seasons to come. The breeze off the bay raises rose blooms in my beloved cheeks as we wander hand in hand through the trees on Blue mountain
If I make whole wheat pizza crust...I can eat it just fine...
Love fall crossy!!
crossy adores fall
Ah, your beloved is lucky you notice her rosey cheeks. Tell her hello from your Babbler friends.
crossy adores fall
I'd have to pass on whole wheat pizza crust.
if it is pizza, what is the point in a heathy crust?
I agree
that is like wrapping a chocolate bar in a lettuce leaf
that is like wrapping a chocolate bar in a lettuce leaf
sorry for stutter
pizza - indigestible
allergic to dairy and tomatoes.
will eat large amounts of crust
love crust
just stopping by and have to weigh in on whole wheat crust/bread, brown rice, etc. As one who heartily disdained these things, but is trying consciously to avoid the diabetes that both my parents developed, I have gradually come to actually prefer whole wheat, which I never would have believed. So, for those who have health reasons, never fear... it can be an acquired taste, and far healthier when you get there.
i should defineatly add more fibre to my diet
easy to do. fresh vegetables much more often, whole grains... and honestly, they do begin to taste better when you're used to them.
ditto. Our store carries frozen whole wheat pizza dough, and I've been making it for my family once a week for a while now. They had no clue, until I accidentally picked up white...and then I heard about it! But it was too late...they liked the wheat. :)
i make my own bread now cause it's hard to find one i like in the supermarket.... don't want any white flour, sugar, honey etc. just whole grains, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds etc. Once in a while I find an "artisan" bakery bread with those ingredients and invariably costs over $6 a loaf.. a really great bakery in Cape Cod
as a son of a father whos sugar level drop to 4.0 or less,i must take notice
All for now. Time to rustle up Wednesday dinner. Pleasant evenings to you all.
tc , stidmere
and check out Bob's Red Mill whole grain pancake mix.. no one can believe they're good for you!
night stidgmere.. and yes, crossy take notice. You give out a lot of health advice, take it as well!
i pray for the day when i do not have to micro manage my food intake
Crossy, don't we all? There's just so much crap out there.
i will indeed, dorens
i have given up on that... i take it for granted that i need to do that .. and exercise more than I'd like to, for the rest of my life. And with that, I'm going downstairs to the treadmill for half an hour
bye dorens!
bye champ. keep on keeping on..... and crossy, i look forward to the day that your breakfast descriptions include whole grains, less fat, more vegetables and fruit!!!
Vegetables for breakfast?
I guess what you chop up and toss in an omelet.
mushrooms, spinach, tomatoes - all classic breakfast vegetables
my grandfather ate a sliced tomato sprinkled with sugar every morning.
Of course he also died of a massive coronary at age 50, so not sure if that's a recommendation or not.
thats sad - I am sure it wasn't the sugar on his tomato though
No lynxxx :) I think it was more his genetics (Jewish) and it was 1946 when they didn't know much about heart disease.
hi all. back to finish
he wasn't caught up in the Holocaust I hope?
hi Peri
Hi, Peri, I just got back too, wanna see how many of the 77 I have left I can find.

Can't stay long - got to be up and about to get and price stuff for a massive 80th birthday cake I've been commissioned to make for a party in just over a week.
"Pi + not twos" was the one that went over my head and stomped on it LOL
Gwen - there is always something to do with wine in v words.
hope the client is still with you when the cake is delivered
He'd better be, joso! I want paying.
Gwen - vi5/18 - a form of periwinkle.
va5/9 - flirtatious, sexy woman who might suck your life blood.
va4-9 maybe
va4/9 = the first 4 letters of the proper name for a woman's birth canal.
so, i sold a book about vegetables today, and the customer's name was Hamburger LOL
nice, Gwen :)
Gwen - that's hilarious.
i resisted the urge to call 'em up and accost them on the misappropriate book they had ordered
joso - yes, the sexy woman is also a va4/9.
Well, Gwen, maybe the person wants to learn how to eat a balanced diet which includes meat and vegetables? Have you got a book on fruit you could also send them?

Good Evening again everyone. I only have 160 words left to find now (I played a bit before I went to work today; got home late). Think I have a chance at coming close to finishing? ;-)
do6. do4 + corn** or hamm**
with time to spare nef
LOL! I'm not quite so optimistic as you joss. My spelling seems to slow me down. :-D
Not getting the corn clue
thats Mr Ackland to you nef, lol
do6. do4 + mast** and slave
Corn__ as in "go to the corn__ for time out"
Finally. Thank you
sorry, joso. My spellcheck (which doesn't seem to correct my bad spelling in the Word box!) doesn't like some of the names here and keeps correcting them! "Stid" keeps coming out as "stud"; so maybe you should be happy with joss? (It does relearn things IF I see them; but it doesn't learn them for long! One session at the game and the next time names get all scramble again
88 words that I believe don't exist left.....
I know nef, no prob, not the first time my name has been corrected
