it's so lovely of you to do that, dee.
no prob, rose (((rose))))
okay, hun. hope you have a good rest, and awake refreshed.
ty, you, too
i did a really silly thing today.
we were in the local store, and they had a box set of 10 old movies, on dvd. DH was very interested in it, so i bought it for him. *sigh*
old movies of what
murder mysterys....
well that was nice of you to do---Is he enjoying them now
yes, dear. he really like the old movies. there's no swearing, no overt sex.
most of them are set in the 40's, 50's
Is hard to find new movies that dont contain all of that anymore
why is that a silly thing
pugs, he has a large collection of dvds. i think the last count was about 500
you could run your own theater!
because, he will want to watch them one after another, and if want to watch anything on tv i won't be able to see the program.
ah, an old fashioned 1 tv home
yup, refuse to have a second one, never in the bedroom, and no family room to have one in, either.
Maybe you could buy him a personal dvd player
petards... hoisting
and he is going to sit??? where??? except where he is right now, beside me in the lounge room.
well most have earphones
I'm not following, are you complaining or pleased as punch
hmmm, some merit in that pugs....
50-50, joso.
Hello grannyrose - doesn't your pc run DVDs? you watch TV DH watches films on your computer?? Ah but I guess you multitask and do Babble AND watch TV at same time?
*giggle* scouser, you sprung me....
may be he could run them on his laptop...that would solve a heap of problems.
midst of a fight, she says whats on your mind, he says you always say that, and whatever I answer I'm going to be in the wrong. She say good, so long as you know the ground rules
My ex used to go mad because I could knit, read a novel ,and keep tabs on the TV all at the same time aaaaarh after all the TV only requires one peek every five mins doesn't it?
roflol, joso...absolutely true...
don't ever show DH how to torrent, he can get every movie he knows the title to. you will never babble again
promise not to, joso. but may be a tad late. his daughter gave him a book last christmas with absolutely every film made, in whatever language. he is working his way through it. has marked what he has seen, what he owns, what he wants to get.
Joso, it sounds like you know all this first hand-lol
at divorce I threw out the TV - never looked back!
it's better than halliwell's. halliwell's doesn't list early australian movies.
oh yea, i don't go to movies any more, they come to me
the nerve of halliwell
DH has made it almost impossible for me to operate the tv. we have remotes for the tv, the set-top box, the amplifier, the dvd player. i am so challenged by it all.
are there many english words in the grid?
lol, scouser. a few hun
Rose, they now have a voice comand tv on the market now
lol, now that would be interesting.
gives a new meaning to ' his master's voice '
then all you would need is to plug that into one of those clappers and wala! never have to move--lol
lol, pugs
Oh so you can sit there shouting alternate commands to the TV all night? - exeunt TV and remotes through window I guess
down to 16 and too tired to finish tonight - bb in the morning, goodnight all
Also if you got a cold-in-the-head the TV wouldn't recognise you ?
night Flosey
night, dear flosey, hope you sleep well, hun
g'nite flosey, rest well
How many words today please
thanks all, see you tomorrow
btw, doctor is sending DH off for testing for pertussis ( whooping cough ). i don't think it is, i have heard whooping cough.
117, gran
Thanks
that seems to be becoming a all out outbreak
so his cough is hanging in
yes, pugs, according to doc she has seen several cases lately
its here in the states too
joso, it's driving both of us crazy. i don't know how to help him. have tried sprays, inhalations, cough mixtures...he has been on antibiotics, and is still using asthma meds.
Maybe he's had too much whoopy granny
lol, ruru, you wicked man...i should be so lucky..
ahh, thats why its called whooping cough!
Wish I could help, but if I had this problem you are who I would ask about it
8giggle* pugs
this will sound very willy rose, but I was always having colds, - every winter. So got fed up, and saw this ad somewhere, put normal kitchen onion beside your bed, beside the tv where you sit while reading, at the sink, - was getting so exasperated i tried it and haven't had a cold since - and this has been a few years
poor man hasn't slept in bed for nearly 3 weeks. every time he lies down, he starts coughing.
lol, not willy, silly
willy, works, flosey. especially if ruru is around.
That scallionous flosey
is the onion peeled? cut up?
have you tried making a 1/2 sitting position for him in bed, might be able to sleep that way
no, just as you buy them so there is no odor
I also stopped drinking milk
yup, joso. went out and bought a sleeping wedge...wedge, ruru, not wedgie...
That doesn't sound too apeeling flosey
and now to bed
the milk makes sense...
and we only use skim milk nowadays, so i don't think it's the milk
its just a crying shame!
see, I knew you would be ahead of me on this
yes, but the onions work too, no kidding
Stats for the u and the i please?
Got the i thanks just need the u
short of tontineing him, don't know what else to do
marc, un4, three-toed sloth
bye now
welsh version sloth !
sorry, two-toed sloth.
three-toed sloth is ai
get him gravity boots, if he hangs upside down his lungs may clear
got it thanks
roflol, joso, he says he has thought of that himself
maybe he just got a sore uvula - my Dad had trouble with that for long time
he says he can feel the cough coming from just below the sternum.
only thing i haven't tried is steamed swede. he says he won't eat it...says quality of life is more important.
Could I get some stats for the 5 'a's'?
I imagine the swede objects too
ac6...an6...ap5...ax4, 5
though they do like saunas
and rolling in the snow, later
thanks got the two ax's
go back to the onions and try (ugh) boiled onion mashed with a little butter.
interesting, scouser. is there a natural decongestant in onions as well?
mind you, if i loaded him up with an aperient, he wouldn't be game to cough...
well, back to the grid for a while

Marc, you can check for yourself, they have listed them all for you.
Giant, he said something about moving, I think and might not be able to post everyday
got it thanks
ooh, just found ru5, cow's stomach
thanks for the info pug
sometimes real life gets in the way, Glant... he will be back :)
glant, lickety is in the middle of moving house, very busy. but list is in volleydeemom's profile
speaking of real life, i've just seen the time - gotta run to work BBL *poof*
bye Glant, have a good day at work!
lol, byyy-eee glant, hope you have a lovely day
rose, how are you today? Any news?
I just found the ha5/24 absolutely essential for all Babblers to know about them since they sometimes appear in the grid as Babblets
lol, true, scouser.
sprite, no news on the surgery front. insurers have not contacted me, yet. my gut tells me they are going to send me to see a knee surgeon. goodness only knows when that will be. meanwhile my own doc said, after reading the report, that's it, you are not allowed to work. so here i sits, here i waits.
*sits and waits with you* My poor rose. They keep you hanging, the asses. They need a serious red pepper in their youknowwhat
roflol, sprite, and chuckling even...i like your style, hun.
they should of not made you return to work at all until you were healed
:)
sprite, you probably didn't see earlier. doctor is now wanting don to be tested for whooping cough. it doesn't sound like whooping cough to me.
oh ok... well, it won't hurt to have it tested, will it? Better safe than sorry and all that crap. But if it isn't whooping cough, at least they will know they have to look further.
pug, amen to that
pugs, there wasn't much of an option. the bills still have to be paid. but now they have acknowledged that my ankle sprain is directly due to the knee injury from the fall, i can take leave and know that the insurers will pay me.
sidenote: my little terra is dreaming :) Tiny yips rise up from my feet.
awww, terra, pats dearest one
will do :)
I understand that Rose but returning to work has more than likely added to prolong healing
sometimes he growls in his sleep, then wakes up from it, sits and looks around quite franticly to see who made that noise. I melt into a puddle when he does that.
absolutely, pugs. but try telling that to them...all they see is dollars flying out with nothing achieved.
My little pug acts like she sucking a teat sometimes in her sleep
awwww so sweet
awww, pugs
you have a lovely saying for that, rose... what is it again... something like penny-wise and pound-stupid
lol, sprite. like my friend's king doberman. one time he farted and got such a fright, he did a 180 degree, looking for what had made the noise.
roflolllll oh that is priceless
yes, sprite, penny wise, pound foolish
sprite, we nearly died from laughing so hard.
that's the one I meant. Exactly what your work is being. They will have to pay so much more because you ahve to heal up for longer.
hehehe so would I have done. They are so funny, dogs.
yup. and another work colleague said...try to be as remote as possible. the reason why the hierarchy win all the time, is because they are so cold and aloof.
that is true as well. They manipulate you with feelings of guilt and responsibility.
I mis likety, this is twice as hard without him
yes, sprite. but no more...i don't care any more...just fix it, and let me get on with my life.
joso, list in volleydeemom's profile, mate
I once told my boss, when he was through whining about how much trouble my being ill caused at work: "See Dick, that is why they pay you so much more than me. You are able to sort out this kind of mess."
hi joso *hugs*
Using it, good to have but not the same
oh, sprite...you didn't??? good on you!!
*hugs rose* Good for you, hun. And of course you still care. But at least you know now how to hold out against them anyway.
hi sprite, rehi pug, rose
oh I did. And kept an angelic smile on my face all through his spluttering.
re Hi Joso
This is the day that the Lord has made and I got to spend it running everyone on their monthly errands--lol
aw sweetie :) I'd say, let your husband run himself and good luck with it.
I would but no one can drive but me
you take care of yourself, hun. Please.
I will, Sprite--thank you :)
*hugs*
hugs back, dear friend
thanks :) Hugs are good.
Its been almost 2 weeks that Peach has been on here, I hope all is well with her
so, rose is in bureaucratic limbo, but no longer has to work, DH coughing, a pain but not life threatening, MIL taken care of for 10 or so days more. And Rose still madly crazy in love with DH. Sprite still wonky but lovable, getting help mit food/diabetes and with son, supercool daughter back at home. exercising going well, bloodsugar improving, supportive and helpful hubby. Pugs helping all those about her.
that about cover it?
lol, nice coverage, joso. And you yourself?
lol. thats about it for the daily news
I've seen peach, I don't think she is a regular late night player
its 430 am here
Me, looking at a lot of changes coming down the pike soon
... still wonky but lovable... I think I can live with that :D
here too pug
good changes?
sounds exciting, joso. What kind of changes?
would you rather be dull and reliable, i like you interesting myself
hehehe too true. I am serious. I can live with that label :)
Divorce should be finalized soon, then declare bankruptcy, got to get a job soon, and must move at the end of feb.
sounds like alot on your plate
ouch... those are rather serious changes, joso. Am glad your divorce is about to be final, that should give you some peace. But bankrupcy not so much... so sorry you have to go through that. Will pray for a job and a home for you.
yep, just got to plod through it all
soooo many books to pack
you have any thoughts on where you are moving to
how long have you lived there where you are
not yet, may sell all and go to alberta.
is there more jobs there
yes, oil sands, booming there
I hate moving
so do I, like this house
sorry, dear friends. very important phone call from middle son. the one who has managed to reproduce himself, 3 times. have caught up on all the news. braxton is wonderful. all the tests are coming back normal. feeding well, and sleeping through the night.
you cant rent it
oh am so glad, rose :) Yay for braxton.
all good news! so glad the baby is doing well now
so sorry you have to leave your house, joso. I hope that you will find one even better suited to you where you land.
joso....{{hugs}} it's a huge step you are about to take, mate.
only lived here 4 years, last move was a disaster that streached out over 5 days
great about braxton rose, thats a squirrel worth diverting for
sounds like a whole new life changing coming on
joso, word of advice?? start packing NOW!!! from experience it does take days to pack up a home.
totally, only thing more would to wake up a woman one morning
and i have no doubt, joso, that that wish will co4 true.
you will, joso. You are way too beautiful to end up lonely. Trust me.
all that will come in due time. Got to finish one chapter of your life at a time
no offence, but i like things as they are rose.
*chuckle* yeah...that's what himself said 12 years ago.
you know what they say... once upon a time I had a good woman.... once upon a woman....
roflol, sprite
You did Sprite? lol
*giggles* Nah, I was speaking for joso now.
ooohhhh!! pugs, wicked lady.
she said it not me!
c
I love you wicked ladies :)
hihi Nanette... I c you too
hey nanette
Hi nan
I wish you all well, going to pack it in and hope the lickety fairy does his thing while I sleep. G'nite all
sleep well, joso, and dream fun dreams *hugs*
good night Joso
night, joso. hope you sleep well, mate
just realised there is a whole generation of babblers who never even learned to play without having lickety at the ready.
yes, sprite. sad isn't it?
wishing you all many blessings, love and hugs. Need to get off and do some things before going to town...bye bye
very. Must be so frustrating for them when there is no Lickety.
bye pug... will be thinking of you. Take good care of yourself, you hear?
byyy-eee, pugs dear. hope your day is a good one. xoxox
I keep wanting to make hispanic
i have the enable word list...it is amazingly helpful
I use a2z when I get stuck.
whatever we use, we get there under our steam most times, right?
yes, with all but the really big grids. Then it becomes too time-consuming to hunt for the last bit and then lickety comes in handy.
am down to 32 now. Kinda stuck, but still having fun.
have to agree, with you sprite. i have noticed that lately i am remembering the obscure words.
roflol! So funny. We babblers know the most obscure words, and their meaning.
yeah, and we use them everyday, don't we??? NOT!!!
just fed my inia. Pfui. Which is a ha5/24 in this post.
no meaning in the dictionary.....maybe we are swearing/cursing in an ancient language???
yeah, I often look op words at infoplease.com
up, not op (op is dutch for up, as you probably guessed)
good morning Babblers :)
hiya nanette :) We saw you earlier :)
wb, nanette
oops sorry about that, this laptop is so easy to miscue
nah, no problem, just glad you are really with us now
are you well, nanette?
I think it is when people use babble expert..if you type in words fast...sometimes the first letter goes into chat for some strange reason.
yes thanks Rose other than being cold
hi zooz *hugs* I use the expert and it never does that for me.
good morning everybody
hi zooz, yes that is most likely the problem
*sending Nanette the softest, warmest blanket ever*
hi Ruby
hiya ruby *hug*
oh, for goodness sake!! *hands sprite handfuls of hair*. he's out in the kitchen coughing up his lungs...aagghhh
aweee thanks sprite
Type faster, Sprite :-)
{{RUBY}}
aw poor man.... poor rose :(
am a very fast typist, zooz, lol
g'day zooz
Can someone please list the sp's
Hello, Rose :-).......does not sound good, DH, having coughing fits...poor chap.
yuck, rose!!
sp4, 5, 5, 5, 4, 4,5
get out the Drano!
rose, not sure if this can be the case with your DH. But sometimes when people have been coughing for quite a while, the whole air system is irritated and you keep on coughing.
Hi, Ruby :-)
Thanks
yeah, sprite, doc and i are working on that. but waiting for the all clear on whooping cough first
so far, I want a start-over for today Husband woke me up before 7 because he locked himself out walking the dogs in the dark. Then he got mad at me. Then the server went down. I feel like a firefighter without the neat outfit
gran, let us know which you are missing
ok, good. Silly me, thinking a nurse wouldn't know this, lol.
lol
awww, ruby. xoxox dearest friend.
aw poor ruby. Not a good start of the day indeed.
Deep breath slowly release & start again.
what?? the breathing or the day??
start again. Kick hubby back into bed, kick the server into better behaviour, lie back down yourself and pretend it is early morn.
lol...i'll let you work that one out, Rose :-)
he always yells at me when he is in the wrong I woke up to the door buzzer ringing repeatedly. I expected to find hm lying in the road with a dog missing someplace.
I think his being all mixed up scares him badly, ruby. Which makes him lash out.
sprite's plan sounds good
Sounds like you might need some help with him, Ruby, is there no one who you can turn to?
I'm sure you're right, sprite, but it's still scary to wake up like that. I keep telling him to wait until I'm up to walk the dogs as there's no rush. I take them out at 11PMand the back door is open all night
I can imagine, ruby. Quite a scare you got. *hugs*

Nice..hope it stays for you...it is about 17c-18c here.
we are around the 10c here. And quite a bit of wind. Pretty normal October weather.
Yes i am not looking forward to it getting colder...still have not put my heating on yet...cost me an arm * a leg last year..so trying to be more frugal..lol
just put it on today. It was so cold here. Will turn it off once it got the chance to heat all through.
Yes i will have to do the same if we get those type of temps...as this house does not hold the heat very well.

I am going to write and do volunteer work with a veteran's organization
still waking up early, though? :)

I worked 7 AM jobs for so many years, it took me a long while to stop waking up early automatically, but now I'm an old hand at sleeping late.
retirement was for sleeping in - but busier now so don't really sleep in

you are about to have baby feral cats
Strange, Aloy. Keep your kitties in if you have them.

not if there's no male around

Congrats, kje
Wondering why Hoot's list says "improved"
Will the effect of the government shutdown affect the VA?
spaces between letters
Oh thanks. I read "improved" and thought there was something wrong with the original list.
VA health services, processing and payments will be available through October. If the shutdown persists after that, services will be suspended.
Thank you, Molly
lickety is moving house, what does that mean?
It's the Australian way of saying he is moving.
I thought he was moving the server or some such
It takes me a while to catch onto these phrases from other countries. "How are you going?" had me stumped for a while.
That's for sure. After being in Britian for two weeks, there were many times I had to ask for clarification
I have learned a lot about British words and phrases from this chat.
I love "I'm going to knock you up"
that can mean more than one thing Bichon
afternoon all
o.O
which meaning do you have?
Translate please. Knock you up only means get you pregnant to me.
HI Glant, when do you arrive in the U.S.
I believe it means to knock on someone's door
wednesday night, about 9.30
for some people it's also that they'll call on the way somewhere iof you're setting off early - i'll knock you up on the way
wow glant, where are you going?
as wel as if a girl is knocked u then she is pregnant (usually too young, definitely outsdie marriage
i arrive at La Gyuardia, travel to Stamford CT until Monday teatime, then to NY until Friday lunchtime, then Mukwanago (near Milwaukee) util the following Friday evening, fly through the night, home Saturday 26th teatime.
This group travels more than any group I have read on the internet.
If you mention tea time in the U.S. nobody will have a clue
late afternoon/early evening, forgot you don;t have teatime!
I do drink tea, but it could be at any time of the day
wow, some itinerary!
we don;t really have tea time any more - it stems from the time when some (upper class) people used to have breakfast, luncheon, afternoon tea, and supper
are you seeing family?
afternoon tea was tea with small sandwiches and cakes - like a large snack ratehr than a meal, to keep you going till supper (dinner) at about 8
I am going on an art retreat in Stamford, sightseeing in NY, and staying with a group of 6 friends in Wisconsin, all met via the internet, and we are doing a mix of art stuff an sightseeing - last saw them all in 2007
Watching shows like "Upstairs Downstairs" and Downton Abbey" I see that upper class folks dressed for dinner and ate at around 8 PM
So, no tea time for the lower class? (Maybe they were too busy serving it)
and maybe upper class folks still do Bichon - but the rest of us don't LOL
Thee may have been a short period in the mid 20th century where the middle classes had tea time too, but that stopped when women started working rather than staying home to raise children
that sounds wonderful.
But some speciak cafes in the Uk still serve an 'afternoon tea' - it varies form place to place but typically involves a pot of tea and some small cakes or scones with jam and clotted cream. The original afternoon tea had delicate sandwiches - incredibly thinly sliced bread with cucumber (or sometimes smoked salmon)
Smoked salmon sounds good. I've never understood the appeal of cucumber sandwiches.
I remember the first time I came to the US and a friend took me out for a sandwich. I (thinking of the mostly dreadful sandwiches we get here) said I didn;t think one sandwich would be enough. She assured me it would. The waitress started y asking what kind of bread i wanted, and I began to realise that US and UK sandwoches might be very different LOL
cucumber sandwiches can be lovely if the bread is good, thin, spread thinly with nice proper butter, and the cucmber is fresh and home grown.
hello friends. clue for the u word please?
un4
There is proper and improper butter?
people here use butter as a generic term, and often mean butter flavoured margarine/spread - I only use real butter LOL
thank you! NBT is elusive today :(
Oh, now I get it. Thanks Glant.
ah, the red carpet fasion essential is in the grid today
You always need to check as sandwich bars etc will ask if you want your bread buttered but they mean spread with somehting which may or may not be butter
here as well, lant, eps in the south
spanx?
i will ask for butter and they point to the margarine pats and say i gave you butter
trrip wins a pair. not that i am saying she needs them, but u think they help everybody look better
I don't eat margarine, eugh
OH, honey, I need a pair, no worries there!
If I can't have butter i'm happy with mayo
nor do i. gag.
aw, trif! they smooth out everything that a woman want to smooth.
ok so I thought the red carpet item was TUX but I am clearly on the wrong track LOL
I quit using margarine after I read about all the crap that is in it.
indeed. but oof.
it just ourred to me that this is an intersting jumbled of threads in chog.
seriously! Maybe if I laid off the butter, or buttered items, I wouldn't need a spanx!
I'm trying to unjumble :-)
and speaking of which i need to get dane pants today, thankfully spanx reminded me
I keep waiting for a sex scene in a movie where a guy has to peel spanx off of a woman : D
ah, so, what is a spanx
and dane pants
ahahahaha molly!
I consume "Smart Balance". Supposed to be better for you.
dance pants.
Magic knickers glant
our molly. such a dreamer. :p
i am so out of touch with feminine accessories LOL, I have no idea what dance pangts or magic knickers are!
You guys don't seriously call them magic knickers, do you?
*pants
Amongst other things molly
dance pants are for modesty whilst dancing
well, I have to say that spanx sounds kinda sexual - in a spank me please way
I have to go to my high school reunion next weekend - spanx will be critical!
I don't think we have dance pants here
count for the e in the left column please?
ea4
i think the name is derived from spandex pants
ea4/10
thanks again, glant
aaah, that makes sense Trif
glant i am sure you do, by some name. sometimes alled slip shorts
Yeah, you do, you probably just call them something else. They are like spandex underwear that go under dance outfits.
TO, I mean
oh, for proper dancing with proper dance outfits rather than just dancing whole you're out? Guess we do
what brought this on is my futile quest for sp words.
LOL
goodness, there are 7 sp words and I don;t have any yet
well we are just daning recreationally but after my friend had a partner who led her so as to show her assets, i want to be prepared.
nbt at last!
well done Trif - me too

Interesting word Nef, but it doesn't work. : )
oh dear. Wrong box again. But at least it isn't a "Word" this time
Read back in the chog - Babble is mentioned in the novel "The Pajama Girls of Lambert Square" by Rosina Lippi. I've never read it, but keep looking for it. I never remember to add it to my Amazon orders.
thanks, jess! Never heard of it; but will have to look for it now
np Nef
Hi Nef, sorry went off for a bit. Yes that's the book. I'm reading and really enjoying it at the moment Sara Donati
just read the reviews on Amazon. Sounds --very different. Is it a romance novel or what?
Yes but with quirk and really nicely written
Great characterisation
so how long have you been "lurking," Jackanory? (This game is very addicting)
Only since yesterday but many hours have been used up
Should add that my yesterday is different to yours as I'm in NZ
Good morning all :)
and good evening even...
Any sp5/14 ideas?
LOL! I joined the first week I found this (recommended by friends who I no longer see around here anymore). If you'd like some help or advice; I always suggest reading the "Help" section just above the chat box; and also below the "Tile Stats "section there is a section called "Friends of Babble" there is "AngelSong's Babble Page" which is very helpful for beginners
sp 5/14 sp + vowel + greeting
Thanks! I had a look at Lickety which helped a lot on the last grid
yes, I miss it when he's not able to post the list
Ta LWG
MollyL has it this time
yw and welcome to Babble Jack
thanks
The Pajama Girls Of Lambert Square...the main character is Southern and has a house full of foster dogs...I think Une has been keeping secrets from us...
Hi Molly - thanks to you (Dee) for the list - proving very useful. Have found 8 of my last 20 words with it!
All thanks go to Dee. I just pass it along. Glad it helped.
10 now
I appreciate anyone who has a list, so thanks to you and especially thanks to Dee for passing it on! :-) (Now, if I could just get over my own rules of having to be half way before I peak at the list...)
I also appreciate any list and I also have a similar rule to you Nef.
:-) I think a lot of people do that, Lizlin. But I'm not half way yet; so I envy you!
Ah but I had yesterday afternoon!
Any clues for mu 5 / 16 - the 2nd one - please?
working on it but not finding it yet, Liz
ty - I'll come back to it. 6 left.
Reverse the last two letters of the first mu 5
That worked! Thanks lbw :)
Hi Liz hi Ned
lbd!!!!
Sorry about that. Auto correct of course!
I hate auto correct. Hi nef
It's useful sometimes so I choose not to turn it off!
Less useful when chatting and typing names!
Don't know how to turn it off my kindle
may I have a clue for the AC 6?
Did I see something about a babble group on FB?
Keen insight. or steadiness
ac 6 means being shrewd
ac + Andy Of Mayberry's son, change the last vowel
Especially in the business world
not steadiness...shrewdness
<---Clues for those who don't know the definitions : D
But who is Andy of Mayberry?
Opie?
so, there are 2 words that use his name in this puzzle? I have the AN word. AC didn't seem to work
I am often sad that shows like The Andy Griffith Show never make it across the pond.
I think Molly was valuing AN 6
I was cluing the an...ac is ac + vowel + not ladies
Going to stop crying auto correct is messing my posts up.
got the ac
Well then I will just hush
please don't :)
Any clues on the re word that has nothing to do with shoelaces?
Fireworks and thanks again to Dee and Molly for the list :)
Just change the final vowel into another vowel, Jack
Ok ta, another new one on me ...
yw - that comes up quite often in babble
lbd - just googled turn off auto correct on kindle - it looks quite easy - the first site that came up www.androidauthority or something similar.
Andy of Mayberry was an old tv show Liz. Took place in an idyllic southern town where Andy was sherif. Andy was basicly the only sensible person in a town of characters prone to overreact. Andy was played by Andy Griffith and the show is actually called The Andy Griffith Show. a very young Ron Howard (5-10) played his son, Don Knots played his deputy whom Andy allowed to carry one bullet as long as it wasn't loaded.
Except I think lbd has gone! Any last clues Jack or I'm off for a beach walk?
Hi Joso
hey liz
Thanks for that Joso. Don't know if that show ever came to the UK - if it did, I never saw it.
beach walk! Jealous! I walked up a huge hill today. Went to Maryland Heights, in Harper's Ferry. 2.5 hours total.
Sorry - didn't mean to make you jealous :( Beautiful spring day here today :)
Hi. Slow grid for me today but we're having left overs for dinner so I have more time to play. Congrats ti liz for fireworks!!
well, today was a beautiful fall day here. :) It's all good.
The show had real charm and wit, if you see a cheap cd or something you should grab it.
Down to 6, CO 5 27?
ty stidg.
Do you mean co 5 / 22?
did you mean co 5/22? That is a latin plural
co + high point + 2 vowels
Yes I did thanks, will work on that. Thanks for all the help
OK - much as I'd love to stay for your fireworks, Jack, it's time to go (DH is getting impatient because he knows I've finished). So, congrats in advance. Be back sometime after flip. Enjoy your days / evenings :)
enjoy your beach walk!
I've walked up that hill in Harper's Ferry. Not for those who have weak leg muscles.
Indeed, spring is truly here - yay!
No, it isn't! It was exhausting, but a good exhausting.
Harper's Ferry is a pretty town.
So, did I see something about a FB group for Babble?
and may I have a clue for the EX 5?
hi again; wandered off to check on grandson; he had a tooth pulled today and has been sleeping til now, poor babe.
aww, poor guy.
there is a Babble group on FB, phanmd
how do I find it?
Take joy in phandmd
Hmmm, I don't know how I got there. I'll have to open it to see.

s +p4/6
Great, fireworks!
Now I can get some work done.
Thanks all, bye.
How does someone get fireworks when they are not a registered member?
I think you get the full works for the first couple weeks in the game. after that you lose everything, unless you pay up
they get full privileges for 1-2 weeks, then just the grid, Molly
Dr G's marketing strategy! lol
hi lbd. Sorry I didn't return your greetings earlier, I hope everything's okay with you
back
Ah, thanks for the explanation.
just sent a request to join.
I guess it was unusual to see someone get fireworks on their first attempt.
I'm doing well, Nef. nothing exciting going on over here. Hope all is well with you.

LOL! Nothing quite as confusing as someone who is confused trying to confuse the rest of us! ;-)
((Nef))
Hi stid. How are you doing this evening?
coolclue pen, C**** kid was a friend of mine.....
cool...i remember i watched it as a kid when i stayed home from school....they showed it early morning...
I am okay, Nef -- I think I am catching the next "bug" -- not happy about it, but trying to stave it off
how are you nef? I love love love the teaching though I am feeling nervous and worried about how much I haven't taught yet that was planned...
I remember the song more than the show
i remember the opening of the show...with the kid riding his horse hard....
stid; are the kids learning what they have to? and whose planning the lessons?
I plan the lessons, but following mostly the lead of the other teachers who have more experience teaching this age and content.
I bet the show is like gilligan's island, f-troop, or Mchales navy for me, thought they were pure genius at the time, didn't quite hold up to expectations when I saw them as an adult.
i am sure you are right....having seen some Lone Ranger shows recently....and Roy Rogers...
re 5/10 ... any hints? have the re bound one
Maybe sit down with the other teachers and brainstorm about how much they expect the kids to learn and how they do it
re + your middle ini***l.....in your name...

I'm to get the turkey and veg, but I know they want beer and wine and lots more so I shopped a lot today and have more to do.
Plus then I comforted myself with TWo vodkas and a glass of red so am a bit blooto.
