Glad I never got hooked on bridge - I fear I would have taken it much too seriously.
we did for quite a few years, went to lots of tournaments, but not lately
I have an uncle, who was a master player many years ago in Georgia.
His serious attitude toward bridge may be why I chose less competitive games :)

one son diddles a bit online but never with real people, has played at our club with hubby when he visits - and they did come first
We played different forms of euchre - can talk and not pay attention, yet still do well. My hubby isn't a great card player, also probably why we never played bridge except for fun with my parents.

I think I learned in our work lounge in the 70's. Everyone who played seemed to be having so much fun - lots of laughter.

have been reveling in the ice-dancing. and i saw our silver medalist in the men's aerial jump. he was amazing.

I've completely missed out on the Olympics - I love some of the events - ski jump, slalom, ice skating etc but hubby's not interested.
i sooo like it. it's amazing how in sync those skaters are.

thanx liz. i think they are kinda cute myself. i have washed the ribbons, ironed them and they are hanging in our bedroom. the tutu?? i'm taking it to a dry-cleaner to see if they can clean it. my mother had it stored incorrectly and the tulle has been flattened.

and i found a photo of myself in my first tutu. lol...i remember being so proud of it. i was 8 ye4s old.

so that makes it official, pug. When I eat 5 or 6 meals a day, I lose weight. When I skip meals, I don't. Isn't that weird?
Yes, though I've got to get used to it having less po 5 than our last one - need to use the gears more.
That's the principle of the diet from the gym I go to - eat 5 times a day.

when you eat that many times , you dont over do it at one setting
combine it with walking or cycling to help boost the metabolism, and you're well away there.
it is consistent with the Gabriel method. He says our bodies have two modes. Hibernation mode and active mode. Skipping meals often puts us in hibernation mode.

am in therapy for my eating disorder. I am very obese and losing weight would really be good, for the diabetes and high blood pressure and cholestorole and all.

I have poly myalgia rhuematica which makes all my muscles ache and Arthritis in my hips and knees
I really don't sleep very well because I get so uncomfortable after a couple of hours
oh, that sounds so painful :( Am so sorry.
I try not to complain but sometimes it is difficult!! The treatment for PMR is steroids but last time I took them I was very ill afterwards
I hope you feel free to vent here now and then... venting is not complaining :) Steroids are heavy stuff... sorry to hear you get ill from them.
Iam with Sprite, Jenny--it helps just venting sometimes
I don't really know if the steroids caused it but I had a large pulmonary embolism and if it hadn't been for the paramedic arriving at our house in 3 minutes i would have died

I am a pr 6/27 now & I pr4/7 that we don't get a whole lo 4/5 of snow his week because I refuse to shovel again. I do not give a do4/5 if I cannot leave house. After shoveling for over 4 hours last week, I think I have ea4/4ed the right to refuse to shovel snow again.I do not need to drive on the ro 4/5s because I am on vacation now.
