hello to all

hi who've just come in. sorry... was into the grid.
Helen! and melon!
chic - i have a teeny little development ro report
tell all, helen!
hi blaze!
nice one beebee! ty
thanks beebee
finally monkeyed it, thanks beebee
erika had a huge long conversation with jani, swore on her mom she would take her to final 2, they shook hands & hugged - the boys are running scared - it is so funny - boog is downright scum - he said something so horrible i can't repeat it here
strange oe word
there is smelly fa6/30
jani is going to evict will, unless he somehow changes her mind tonight
if jani doesn't kick out will i might rip my hair out
really, I thought that might be a possibility, but not what I want to see.
it's so uncomfortable in the house - boog is trying to heavy hand will - he said "this is our show & those b*tches are not going to steal it from us" full of himself or what
i really want to tell you what he said, cause there's NO way they will show it on tv - he is scum - this is the first time they don't feel in control
although it would show ct a thing or two about girl power in the end!
ugh i hate him
will & boog have been awful - you don't see it on tv - they call jani & erika all kinds of names - none of their showmance is sincere - they need to be gone
ro/6 and ro/7 found the horse and bull show/s but spelling?
thanks for pointing that out, mr. p, never woulda found that on my own
hi all!
prez, i think those ro s have to do more with horsepower than horses
hey owl!
hey to
ah! silly me!! ;)

And what about hormone :(
Hi everyone!
Hey muse
hi mymuse
hey muse
you know, i got the oe 8 by looking it up, but for the life of me i don't see how it could be made without using a tile twice. anyone?
I have to find it first
the vowel is side by side
melon no long ones found here yet
don't have it yet melon
Got it. You need to go to the right bottom corner.
melon- look to the right of the puzzle- you are spelling it on the left
what's the other 8? anyone?
I thought I saw Ro in the grid. Don't have it yet.
evening all, hows she treating you?
Not in the grid, in the chat I mean.
ro 6 and 7
oooooooh, as usual - & i just sent a note to dr g. {embarrassed}
A bit shy, but otherwise friendly, froelica.
LOL melon!
the other 8 is ed8/65- it builds from the 7
ed-buildings
excellent, excellent
thanx star1 that was great!
anyone know how many ir's?i have a 4/4- i'm hoping that's all of them
and beebee...
chic-yw
thank you thank you
I know what melon is doing... writing another email to drG :)
"mosh" is a word. i've seen it in action many-a-day
hello alll
Hey MVA
hi mva
hey mva
hi mva!
froe- i agree- mosh pitt
go figure - mosh not accepted, but phat was the other day.
i like the extra "t" in pit beebee, it implies me bumping into mr. brad
hi muse, mva - beebee..... etal
hi debb!
ahhhhh - the ed is a pun on the oe******* complex - for archtiects, anyway.
froe- lol, i gotta add extra letters cause you never know when they'll make a word
hi debb, just going to wake daughter up for school!
hey deb
buongiorno star!
hehe! very very true bee

AHA. thank you all.
well i woke her up, i may have to go and rewake her in 10 mins, i hate first day back at school!
mva, if she's anything like how i was on the first day of school you may have to rewake her four or five times...
Morning all.
morming jfb
sup jfb
hi jfb
wish me luck froelica!
good luck indeed! :)
I'm glad mine are past school days!
hi everybody!
how's the grid going?
hi Fran
hey fran
Hi Fran!
hi fran
i've got about three weeks until school starts (college). this has been my first summer off for four years, and i don't want to let it go!
hey fran
hi saphyre, beebee, muse, mva & froelica!!
quick icon change, fran!
do you guys see yesterday's bridge or today's red hots in my icon?
got all the 7s! & 8s! not quite mediocre, tho - 6 to go...
goooo melon!
hots fran
redhots
those look like cyber cranberries franMag
I see red hots
Go
oh, that's good.
that's what i thought melon, it made me thirsty
i thought they were a little too round for regular red hots.
well, going to dive into the grid now, see you all later!
grey M :)
you go, Fran!
Done
here we go.. pixie sticks. both delicious and disgusting at the same time
i don't do icons - if i did, it'd be laffy taffy.
mmmm..... i love taffy
not too big on sugar though. i'd be happier with a slat lick. i think i'm part deer...
gummy bears
salt*
let me ask y'all if ,as according to my 12 year old son, i'm overeacting. on thursday, i took him to the doctor strep throat. he's been antibiotics(3000mg per day) he is still running a temperture(99.9-101) i think we should go back to the doc. in the morning. he says i need to wait and let the meds run their course. granted, this is my only child(who doesn't walk on 4 legs or have his name on a marriage license with mine) so, i don't want to be one of those always at the doctors. so, what should i do? actually i already know i'm taking him- i just want valadation.
a slat lick - watch out for splinters. ;)
wasnt the news about the croc hunter just awful
bee - 4 days, those antibiotics should have kicked in - how long a course?
beebee///not over reacting.... 12 year olds do not get a say in doctor visits...
whever are you finished? if so, congrads
beeb no kid experience here
it really can't hurt, beebee.
hk- 10 days
i'd take him back beebee, that temp is high
did he have a positive strep test? he may have a virus in addition, which the antibiotics won't help. how are his other symptoms? is he listless?
i'd take him in too, if it will at least help give you peace of mind
I think a visit to the doctor is in order, beebee.
melon- yes the strep was +, but he seems to have a cough and some congestion
taz- i'm still grieving!! just so unexpected
Could be in the chest now - going to the doc will tell you what's happening.
yes froe i rather admired him so i am greiving too hoped to go see his show somedya
he's rarely sick- i think this is only the 3rd trip in his life to doctor for something that wasn't routine and he's petrified of them, but he's gonna have to suck it up- thank you all for taking my side
me too. i saw a special on him today where they showed footage of his little girl talking about him and i had to change the channel
beebee, at least call the doc's office. also, keep those fluids up.
yes i watched his story tonight heartbreaker
bee - why don't you call instead of taking him in - different antibiotics work differently
melon- i will, thanks
halfway - mediocrity attained. if anyone wants clues for the 7s or 8s speak now - i'll be out in 5 min.
good point melon. that's the most important thing, i'm told. and to keep an eye on the temp
such a freak thing to happen
clearly - i don't bother to read the chat, lol -
at least he had a full life taz, accomplished more than i probably ever will..
anyone have a clue for the other mo7?
beebee - he's not complaining of any stiffness of joints, esp neck or back is he? headaches?
Hi everyone! melon, I have ed8/65, what does the other start with?
hi all - flipping late!
sure melon i have no 7 and only one 8 the ed one
hi biltong!
hi jiil hi bil
and jill!!
hi jilli!
hi bittong
hk- i'll call and see what they say, but he's been out of school(wed, thurs and fri) which i have an excuse for, but if we don't go to the doctors we don't get an excuse and the school says don't send them if they've had fever in 24 hours-arrrggghhhhhh taz- consider yourself lucky:)
also to check for, anytime fever is involved- purple spots on the skin
the other 8 is an oe
the oe8 has to do with Greek tragedy.
the mo7s - one is a summer drink minus 1st two letter. the second starts like the 1st, i see.
thanks, mymuse and melon!
hk and froe- he's 12, he doesn't tell me alot cause, i'm always in his business(what business?) but i'll check him out in the am
sounds good to me bee :)
ro7 is plural of ro6 - think cowboy show but spelled like a thoroughfare.
yw.
beebee - sounds some some kinda scam to me :)
chic- both mo7's are the same except for the 2nd to last letter
laila tov, all!
hello melon!
bye melon
i better get back in the grid-41 left
bye melon
night melon!
thanx, beebee, I found it!
jilli- those candies look so good!!! why have i never seen them?
I think humbugs are a Brit thing although we can get them in Canada
unfair... all i ever see is hersheys. blech
i am noy getting the oe
I'm not getting the ed!
mva- of or relating to the complex mentioned by freud
not getting oe
i want a humbug(unless it's really some kind of bug ;))
where the man subconsciously wants to marry his mom and kill his dad
10 to go
yes fro but i just dont see it
go chj go go
i know the name word, just the ending i can't get!
five 6's and five 5's
hmm.... add the first vowel, second vowel, and a consonant
switch that
second vowel then first
oe8 ends like the hammer
jilli- the ending of the ed7 is what you put in your drink to make it colder
thank you!!
35 to go; leaving it for tomorrow...nite, nite all!
thanks, bb!
jili- the ed8- is it's plural(the middle letters are ** i do this what will happen?
nite chic
nighty-winky chic
nite chic
bye chic
om still no oe
woke daughter up for the third time, and now the cat's been sick - oh happy day!!
oe+ (something to put on chips) + lima b***
oe + chip *** + pe4/5
taz- oe+ plus what goes with chips+ i don't like lima b***s
jilli- lol
o ty beeb ty all

froe- great minds or just scary?
i say great minds.
sorry about that oe clue - an extra p

froe- it makes you a good speller
i think you'll find we've all tried moron!

does anyone have the ap6 ...is it a real word?
monades
oh dear
not me chj
ap6 is a real word - plural of highest point.
chj- think pepper, garlic salt, etc- drop the s
Hi, chj...it's the plural of apex
ap6 - plural of apex
chj- plural it
never mind got it
froe what does the animal start with?
thanks jilli, beebee and dianne!
mo, taz
how about fa6/30...real word or monkey word
:)
ook froe saw one in yellowstone
fa6 - real word - think poop
chj- an odd spelling of poop
was he chewin' on stuff??? i love when they do that and it hangs out of their mouths :) teehee
i saw one in new hampshire.. and we were on an incline.. so the brakes started squeaking.. eek, eek.. and my friends grandmother goes OH! Ididn't know they made that noise!
thasnks beebee\
i also wehn oon a mo tour in vermont or nh area
last one pa6/24
hahah! scv! that's priceless
i thought it was hilarious
lol scv!
so naturally we were cracking up and now whenever we cheer for a certain pitcher in NY we go "eek, eek, eek".
teasing her about it never gets old

hi sprite!
wb sprite and good morning:)
halloooo hallooo! sprite :)
heya sprite
Hey all! Jilli *hugs*, playing night owl again? ;)
hi sprite!
Great gang again :D
naturellement, sprite, but not for long
nite all
hmm.... i could go to bed and get 7 hours of sleep (to prepare for 4 hours of work and a doctors appt, or i could watch a movie with my beloved, and get 5 hours, and take a nap tomorrow.... any thoughts?

Never for long, I know, jilli ;) Tell me, what is wrong with 'pfew'? I say it often.
whats the movie froe
night chj
ui still can not get the last mo 7
help pls
nitey nite, chj
well.... maybe something like the count of monte christo or pulp fiction....
The last option of course, froelica! It has been scientifically proven that you get more rest from doing fun things than from sleep.
go to bed
taz, it ends with **e cream
just don't have too much fun
froe- i would watch the movie, cause if you're anything like me- you'll spend those 2 hours just tossing and turning and watching the clock
hmmm..... sprite makes a good point.
taz go down after the root
moedic
oooo srry
exactly bee!! i'd just be all pissy cause i couldnt do what i really wanted
Sleep is an overestimated occupation.
plus i can nap. and napping is always awesome.
taz- the first day of the work week mo*+lemon***+plural
beeb ty i have that one
that's right froe- and if you miss tonite maybe you'll be really tired 2-morrow and you can get good rest
the one that ends in ic is what i am dumbfounded at
sleep is much better than listening to opinionated gasbags.
taz- change the 2nd to last letter to a different vowel
keep first 5 letters taz and add ic
gasbags? that's a great image
But then again, name something that is NOT much better than listening to opinionated gasbags
**oops- taz- change the last 2 letters to your ic
tytytyty
I detect the spirit of byzantine
ty all these are unfamiliar words to me
Is that the spirit? Or only the smell?
going to eat now, bye all bbl
eeww..... *waves hand in front of face*
you've got it, sprite

night mva!
*grabs clothespin to keep hands free for typing*
bye mva
i had an easier decision of organizing my mp3s or babble.. but sleep? i think i'd sleep.
bye MVA
Have fun, froelica!
thanks sprite! i think i will :)
have fun froe
enjoy froe
and good going tomorrow, froe!
bye froelica!
night all, see you tomorrow and good luck with this short grid!
so, anyone that disagrees acquires an odor .... what a pleasant group!
no jfb, tomorrow, although have to go in without the children to sort things. also some "kind" louts broke window of shed, so that has to be sorted!!
beebee - i have 3 ir words - the ir4 and then a 5 & 6.
dianne- thanks, i gotta get on the 5 and 6
beebee - the 5 & 6 are my ist & 2nd.
dianne- what kind of words are they- i can't see anything and when i make them up, enable won't take them- imagine that
I have got the same problem. Can't find any other ir than the 4.
glad to see it's not just me :)
me three on those ir words!
it means a large African tree (and plural) and has sprite's favorite letter in it.
fran- lol
thanks dianne- i get to googling
Wow... and now it says irokhs is not valid!
thanks dianne! got them!
soooooooo close sprite :)
tyvm dianne!
it reminds me of that river that enya sang about
sprite - have you got the k word? *giggles*
LOL... yeah, got that one. Ah Fran, that did it! Thanks :)
cool sprite!
Sail away, sail away, sail away....
i know nothing about enya.. anything else?

the other O is a sound word
ty got it
Pa6/24: a proteolytic enzyme found in the fruit of the papaya tree, Carica papaya, or a commercial preparation of this used as a meat tenderizer and in medicine as a digestant. Better clue: daddy hurts.
thanks sprite!
A really stupidhead word!
i'm glad there is no reference to death, dead, dies, died etc. they've been in the grid alot lately, i was starting to worry if it was a sign- i guess the no5 could count, but not really
And halleluyah, for once no diet :)
an please?
sprite- amen
halfway so going to turn in - good night all!
night jilli!
taz- an+2 vowels
night jilli
nite jilli
tyty beeb
That is a babblet, taz. Dwarf buffalo.

No matter what, we WILL find ways to bring babblets into our conversation ;)
i'm glad my nostrils are not hairy like that inia.
You would look interesting though, Fran ;)
zzzzzzzz gnite all
:-)
nite taz
night taz!
Sleep tight, taz!
anyone got a clue for the no 5/12?
Fireworks :) Any clues needed before I split?
yay sprite!!!
girlie: men who love men, change first letter.
woo hoo sprite
thanks!
thanks sprite! tried the 'singular' forgot to try it with the S.
I always hate those words. Ap6 is another one.
Now that I come to think of it, it is even worse. Ap6 has no 'singular'. Pi4 has no plural!
ok-it's 3:45am- the alarm will go off at 6:00, not enough time for sleeping- so, i guess i'll get a jump on cleaning the house. good luck everyone
OOps, beebee, that is gonna be a tough day! Good luck!
sprite- thanks- bye y'all
Ok, I am off, have a great day/night/whatever and happy hunting to y'all :)
bye sprite!
be back in a bit, going out for ice cream.
Morning all Hate to ask for a 4 letter clue but am going nuts for the pe4/6. Any help appreciated
past tense of wee wee :)
1000x better than 'urinated'!
Thank you so much Dianne
FMitch - glad to help.
Good morning all.
good morning all
Good morning Haz and rosalind
Mornin'
It's particularly grey and rainy here. A good excuse for babbling.
Hi Matty - you're back, how was the vacation and the flight back?
Yes it like that here.
de 6?
good nite everyone :) been watching exciting big brother feed & have managed a whole 82 words in the last 3 hours, lol - gotta get some sleep
lol Bye helen
de6/27 - to show something in an artistic way
Hi Fi!
Vacation was great - flight back was on time - all good things.
any help with ro 7/32?
ro7/32 plural of ro6/21
ro7 - think of cowboy competitions but start it with another word for street.
hmmmm, thanks metaleather
and dianne
was looking at the wrong r06 ... d'oh, got it now
need a clue for the k please
ko plus the start of the Princess Royal's name
rosalind - it rhymes with the thing you put a scoop of ice cream in.
rosalind call in boxing + an article that you pu in front of a word starting with a vowel
thanks Dianne and angb haz
yw
inroad
sorry
help please for the ir5/18 and the ir6/30
Got them thanks
i plus a reworking of the black bird and plural
well done, was sitting here trying to work out a clue as they are strange>
Good one Haz
Thank you FMitch!
Morning Haz, what is it like today? It looks small enough for me!
Good morning ex-Wren. It's fine so far - you should enjoy it.
there's no re's exwren so it can't be bad!!
That is the first thing I look for Mari
you and me both!!
i think mosh should be allowed.
There's probably a word for people with an 're' phobia.
hi again everyone!
intelligent??!!
change the last letter scv for an alt sp of religious building
hah
hey there thanks
Hello FranMag - was the ice-cream good?
AND i just got to the m's, that was what i was missing.
thanks fmitch! that was the m i was missing
just finished it haz, it was great!
So now you're extra fortified to face this grid!
for sure haz!
if a word is on the enable list, shouldn't it be accepted?
you'd think so sylvia.
One would think so scv
unless it's not in the grid
It should but I'm guessing you've found one that isn't being accepted?
its between moseys and moshav ;)
i guess so
but then thats the list linked from lickety, not sure how else to check.
on enable list, but not 4 letter list.
perhaps i should spend more time finding words and less time worrying about stuff that doesn't matter.
Likcletys lists are based on the a2z listings which is is mix of databases I think
ah.
We're all at an equal disadvantage if the word isn't accepted. I wouldn't worry about it.
its just a common word for me so i assumed it would work no matter what
when you put it in the add word box does it say not in dictionary or doesn't exist in the puzzle?
not in dictionary.
i think i'm making it seem like i care a lot about this :) i was just curious
of course not sylvia, we're all curious too, but used to enable being picky.
true. that's the first time i ever thought to question it
Why do I keep forgetting that there is a d in the grid that can be used at the end of words!!
ive done that.. and had pl.s of things and not the singular
I don't know - perhaps you have a horror of the past tense? There'll be a word for that as well!
I will have to quiz the internet then.
And see if you can find out what the re phobic syndrome is as well (we can't keep calling it ex-Wren's problem)
Done and fireworks and time for me to go.Happy babbling! Will let you know if I find out anything on the phobias
hooray FM
Congratulations FMItch. I've just looked up a website on phobias. None of us are suffering from logophobia (fear of words), nor logizomaehanophobia (fear of computers). Some poor soul may have panophobia. Fear of everything!
lol Bye *poof*
Bye - have a good day!
ok, back to mosh
if this ro6,21 is allowed...
they're holding hands. come on!
I remember people raising the question of mosh quite a few times before, but it has never been accepted.
one is greasy guys climbing things and the other is greasy guys bumping into each other on purpose.
You're not painting a very attractive picture for either of them!
the truth is ugly!
2 left
way to go scv, I wish I was that far along
don't let me fool you, took me forever
fireworks
excellent, i can sleep! :)
happy dancin' for scv!
haha, thanks.
good evening everyone
hi
hello Andree
Good evening Andree.
90 left so head down and tail up for a while
nice size grid
Well, I'm going to leave 40 to find later. Time to get something constructive (wash out my mouth) done with the day.
ewww, constructivity.... bad Haz, bad bad Haz
bye Haz
bye haz! hi andree!
hi fran
hi all just got here, how is today's grid?
hi beast, i keep getting pulled away, but it's going okay
hi fran, sorry just looked up
i wont be here long, but hopefully will get on again a bit later, just thought i would make a start
famous last words as beast gets sucked into the grid
my daughter will be home soon and i will have to put her to bed etc., then can come back
:-)
tom
my other username is JACKASS
*sniff sniff*
Is that the smell of roasting troll?
sounds unnessarily descriptive
go great britain
well, over 100 and getting sleepy, night all!
nite fran
nite Fran
nite Fran
Hi folks. Any clues for de6/27 please?
rosalind230 is your real name
rosalind jackson
Hi hydra - to illustrate something
Or de + old Brit
rosalind230 is your real name rosalind jackson
lol saw that and tried to figure where pom was in the grid
Oh! Lightbulb moment! Thanks ever so.
yw hydra
mosed
it's NOT fair that Old Brit can be part of a word but isn't accepted in its own right
I agree.
I agree, metaleather. I just tried it.
lol, I've tried it more than once this morning
I say fa 6/30 to the dictionary!
hasn't worked yet
I agree wholeheartedly Angb
I shall have to look for that word now, Angb
Sorry hydra
Excuse me but I don't know if anyone told you but a***hole is not an appropriate handle. There are kids that come on the site as young as 10 for all over including England, Canada and the US. I really don't mean to be rude but could you change it?
Don't apologise, Angb. It's funny.
You know, Marc, I kinda agree with you there. I winced a bit when I saw it.
I agree too. It's not the sort of handle that you would want to chat to.
Thanks, this is a great friendly sight and I am sure whoever it is means well.
it's that same atrociously obnoxious troll from last night
with a different name
It's good that you have the courage to speak out, Marc.
I would not bother ange and marc that handle was on last night , is 12 and needs mouth washed out with soap
trolls die in the dark - the best policy is usually to ignore them
My old Mum used to say, 'every Eden hath its serpent.'
yes ilan
I really didn't want to get everyone hot and bothered, just asking a simple request. Are you saying this was a 12 year old with that handle? How do you know?
marc from last night
Fireworks - and I'm all for the ignoring approach
yay spellit
Congrats, spellit!
Great spellit
gj spellit, maybe i could beg some clues for the 8s??
Congrats spellit and I agree
Cheers all - now off for a spot of lunch in Burford - one of my favourite places deep in the Cotswolds
enjoy lunch spellit
bye spellit
and wtg on the fireworks
Lucky you, spellit. Enjoy.
8's oe8/50 think of Oedipus ed8/65 is lots of imposing buildings - bye now
oh ty spellit - i thought u had gone, i do appreciate it
In my deeply sad life, all I have to look forward to is a trip to the dentist tomorrow for major excavation work on a back tooth. I feel sick at the thought!
I have the ir 5/18. Does anyone know what it means?
i recently had my wisdom teeth removed hydra, it's no fun and at the end they handed me a bill :((
ohhh, poor hydra, {{{hydra}}}
click the ? next to the word for definition ang
Ouch even more! It's going to cost me £180 for a crown.
Really gone now!!
no idea Ang
Angb - it is a large African tree (had to look itup).
but it googles as a type of wood
ilan - there is no def on the ? - thanks dianne and metal. That's an odd one!
oh i hate it when that happens - makes me feel like i am chasing nonsense, theres some really obscure stuff sometimes
I love this site... it comes up with so many words I've never heard before, like the first two fi's
Anyone have a clue for ap6/24
Has anyone got a clue for the 2nd mo 5/14
marc put the a on the plural of pe 4/6
not I
Angb, the plural didn't work, no 's' near by.
angb - 3 letter word for man + first 2 letters of opp of subtract
Go in the other direction mark - the pi word works both ways
Marc - it is the plural of apex
Thanks all, got it, the pi helped.
Have that one Dianne - it the second one I need.
angb - what the cow did.
Oh knock me down with a feather Dianne - why didn't I see that!
mo i have is past tense cow sound
How about a clue for fa6/30?
oh that's the one i m trying to get now marc
Marc - think poop
Marc - what you do in the toilet!
hehe thanks ang
Marc... another word for countenances with an extra vowel inserted in the middle
Very polite metal!
Thanks got it just took me awhile.
and totally unlike my usual raunchy self ;oD

any clues for pa5/12 or the last pa4/6 ?
koori - roos - hoon - all good 'australian' words in common usage and not accepted by Grid!
I tried roos myself, but am not familiar with the other two
heck, I even tried goana on one grid the other day
good morning, all. With a little advance work yesterday I was able to change my own icon just now. Hope it shows up
goood morning inge
A hoon - is another word for a 'troll' or similar. Koori is their preferred name - by our our aboriginal peoples. Goanna is double 'n' - maybe thats why it didn't take?
might be, I was not sure of the spelling
the sh's were really fun, have a go
hello Inge - its a gingerbread house! did you make it?
very pretty picture
yes, I have made at least one every year since son (b 1964) was born

Thanks Unea! Never would have thought of that ending.
bye, charm!
Thanks for that one Uneaixoise.
hey, haz!
Hello there - how are you?
good, thanks--have graduated from cast to velcro boot on the ankle!
Will it be the new fashion sensation do you think? Will we all want one?
all i can say is, thank goodness they changed me from the white cast to the black boot before Labor Day!
Yes, it's my understanding (thanks to a line in Frasier) that it's social death to wear white after Labour Day!
precisely!
precious precious pup in your icon, haz!
She's a pet, that's for sure.
Serial Mom has a wonderful bit about white shoes after Labor Day. I never knew until then. Don't have white shoes either, but just shows my ignorance about sartorial appropriateness.
clues for mo7/36 and 7/40 please
Andree - both have to do with single-celled organisms, or Leibniz' philosophy
mo7/40 Miss Lisa + Mr. Cheney
(Miss Lisa who lives in the Louvre)
what about the 7/36 though?
Hi all - have been lurking for a while, sucking in clues from the log. Anybody know if there's a good reason _why_ it's forbidden to wear white shoes after labor day?
help with the first two ir words, please.
guess the fashionistas made that decision many decades ago . . .
Eva - it looks like a plural, though I don't know why it's spelled that way
Because if you wear your new white sneakers to schoo everyone will step on them? Probably having to do with being wealthy enough to have an entirely new wardrobe for the new season.
ir5/18 - i plus a reworking of a black bird and plural for the ir6
mo7/36 Miss Lisa + Mr. Arnaz minus the final consonant
Thanks, Haz.
thanks amanda!
and Haz!
You're welcome!
TY Haz
thx une and amanda
yw :-)
yw

It has a plural ending as well.
working on that, haz - thanks. :-)
ah. got it. :-)

It wasn't a very clear clue, so I'm glad you found it!

Hi abe, Aloy!
Hi Amanda!
abe, I just started.. looks ok so far, but not an easy one..
haz - just goes to show - I had no trouble with the ed's. :-)
hey, amanda !
That's how it goes, Wolvie - sudden blind spots along with coasting happily through.
well, I'm down to 30, and it looks like it's time to start asking for clues - I've got the freudian 8, what's the other?
:-)
Plural buildings amanda (ed8/65)
ty haz.. great clue!
good morning everyone!
hi Annie
morming annie!
oh duh - I thought of that, but for some reason was under the temporarily mistaken illusion it had an 'a' in it, so I didn't even try...grr

I kinda know the word, but I'm not getting it entirely.....
Sharidan - od plus Princess of Wales' shortened first name, then small round green vegetable and ending with n
haha, now that was an awesome hint......thank you so much
periwinkle - mo7/36 and mo7/40 - clued earlier as first part of Miss Lisa in the Louvre combined with first part of Mr Arnez, and the other one as Miss Lisa combined with Mr CHeney
You're welcome Sharidan!
haz, wasnt there yet and I would have gotten the end by monkeying around but you saved me a lot of fuss, thanks
Other seven is ro7/32 - plural cowboy shows with a variant spelling.
thanks Haz, never would have found them without your clue, just logged on so didn't see the earlier clues
Glad the clue helped you out, Anniebrook.
thanks Haz, got the ro7 too
I was trying to remember if that ro7 had appeared before but it must be a long time ago.
any help with my last f...I have the cold ones
how about fa6/30????
well, forgot about that f...lol
fa6/30 - has lavatorial connections
thanks for all the great clues, Haz
that is a great clue, haz - I was puzzled on how to give that one

could I have a clue for the ir5/18 please??
ir5/18 is i plus a reworking of a black bird, or chess piece
thanks Haz, for the ir5/ another new word for me
I've never seen it before either, and the dictionary gives no definition. It looks Japanese to me.
i still can't get it!!!
The black bird is ro4/8. If you reverse the last two letters, you should get it.
cle for the k word pleaes
NM found it
like a ro** horse, peri, only with a k
many thanks!!! Haz. Help now with mo4/5 after the cow one, and mo4/9 after the am one
too fast for me, peri. :-)
8-)
k 4/8 sounds like sister of actor john cusack
mo4/9 is a variant spelling of a religious building
morning all
Hi Raelite!

hi rae!
mo4/5 - a shortened term for the forenoon?

Hi rae, wolvie, Annie. Hello Haz you thanks but am hot and grumpy now so babble will calm me down (stupid drivers on the roads today)

You're welcome helenary - sleep well.

thank you so much. i will
heathcliff on the mo**, peri
hi haz!
It could also be used to describe a race of people who invaded Spain many years ago.
Hello amanda - how are you?
Good 'ole babbleland, feeling better already.
thanks Wolvie, was looking in the wrong direction
got it Haz, thanks
We should be on prescription.
To selected patients, you understand....
Hi Haz - got up on the wrong side of the bed, but babbling really does help!
Of course and in small doses to avoid addiction (oops too late).
and I'm stuck on my last word - so6/24?
hi amanda
hi annie!
so6/24 - past tense of the cleansing so4/5
or pt of the so5/14
sorry pt of the so4/5
oh, fish, fish, fish - wrong direction! Anyway, thanks, and FIREWORKS!
guess Im not ready to clue yet :)
congrats, amanda!!!***!!!
Congratulations!
Congrats amanda (that I can get right) :)
A few more cleansing breaths FMitch and you'll be right.
amanda, fireworks is a good start for the day
congrats - amanda
must now do that word to myself - have fun all!
bye amanda
okay got more than half on my first run through, see you all later
Bye amanda - have a good day.
*flops* hi all. am back from best friend's. did any other UK babbler get gassed with chlorine yesterday or was I the only one in Gloucestershire?
Bye periwinkle - maybe see you later.
hi ata!
bye peri
Hi ata and bye peri
Atalante! I was wondering where you had got to. Who tried to gas you?
Hi Atalaante - nice to see you back.
there was a big explosion of a chlorine chemical plant yesterday in Glos and we all had to Stay Indoors with the doors and windows shut and hide from the chlorine gas clouds!
any help on mo7/40????
mo7/40 - Miss Lisa in the Louvre combines with Mr Van Dyke
atalante, happy you are okay
wow, that's kinda scarry Atalante!!!!!
That sounds nasty - chlorine is bad enough in swimming pools, let alone in gas clouds.
it was certainly a different afternoon!
good one Haz! thanks
wow - ata - glad you are okay
But were there firemen in uniform? That might be some compensation.
Must have been all the babble fireworks that set it off Ata, glad you are OK.
they were in big hazardous material suits :( no fun!
What a shame!
I know! ah well ...
refresh everyone - my best friend has just got a new puppy ....
can any one clue me for the last o not the 8 one
oo4 - exclamation of satisfaction plural
How sweet, is the pup a Jack Russel?
cute!
yup :) though everyone thinks she's a collie LOL she's far too fluffy!
thanks haz...feel a little dumb right now...lol
You're welcome, wurdygurl. Sometimes those words just hide.
You and me both wurdygurl!!
Jack Russell = boundless energy! But very cute.
i just broke 100...phew....hard doing it without a list
they are used to boundless energy - they already have a springer :)
down to 8
And is the springer happy with the new arrival?
Good going wurdygurl - 79 for me
springer adores new arrival - we were all absoluetly amazed at how instantly they bonded
just got another easy one...I think i might need a break

Sounds like a good plan ch1212, good luck with the move too

Need help on ir5/18 been searching and searching even went to a2z and couldn't find it. I know I am close too.
wtg Sharidan - what is your icon?
thanks, sharidan --- this time it really isn't too bad. We gave away most of our furniture, put a bunch of books and such in storage, and will only take the cars loaded up. Our plan is to live minimally for the next few years.
ir5/18 - i plus an anagram of the black bird/chess piece
I still can't find the in/tell someone something
Thanks Haz
You know, I think I'd like to do the same thing....I don't think my wife would go for it though.....
in6 - separate the words and it could be another way of saying that someone is in a good state or condition
Well, my husband was a monk for several years, so he's used to it, and I lived very simply for many many years by choice, so it's a lifestyle we both embrace, fortunately!
In + shape wurdygurl
JFB....My icon is a picture of The Biltmore House in Asheville, NC. I live a few miles from there and it is beautiful. It's supposed to be the biggest home in the US.
Got it just had to separate the vowels. Thanks
Don't forget to pluralise, Marc.
I have been to the Biltmore Hotel in Asheville, beautiful place. Went to a wedding their a couple of years ago.
I would like to move way out in the country and wouldn't mind my only connection to the "outside" being my internet connection......
Its amazing Sharidan - I thought it might be French.

They charge a minimum of 100,000 just to rent the grounds for a wedding. They had a huge one the other day for some NBA Player.

Hi Everybody!
greetings, all. my first pass through the grid leaves me with 14 words to find.
I haven't been on often at this time of day; lots of Brits here now! :)
Hi, nef, angelsong
wow, angelsong -- you are good!
Hey Haz, was just reading up on recepies on quinces as Mum had rather a lot this year.
MY first pass through leaves me with 104 left to find!:D
That's odd ... I have a message on the top of my grid that says "less than one minute left" strange
oops, now it just changed to 14+ hours left. Odd
ch12, every so often I get that message too; then it updates itself. Sometimes it takes away some of my words then too!
in6/30 please?
good to know, nef -- thanks
in6/30 - to tell someone something
charm, if I in**** you of somthing, then you are in the know!
thanks Haz - just monkeyed it!

Nef, I haven't experienced it but from what others say it is not that uncommon.
must run - late out of the gate today. :-) thanks for all the clues!
Congrats Wolvie
I get frustrated sometimes when it won't let me enter words that everyone else seems to be entering; it almost seems as though my 'puter won't let me enter words out of order or something
Well done Wolvie!
bye Wolvie

The teeny icon of yours looks like a beautiful quilt, ExWren!
(Or maybe I'm REALLY still into sleep mode.)
think I would have looked for pink sugar mouse
If you click on it Vic, it comes up larger
I know, ExWren, I did. But I think it's prettier little!
Yeah, see what you mean!
But then, I like quilts much more than I like candy hearts!
well....think I'll go and paint my nails, this is the best they've been for years !!
Have fun, Karys!
I'm finding this grid quite difficult today. I thought 135 wouldd be easy

faerikae, how is babblet?
well done Atalante...
Hi Atalante just seen your profile..seems we come from the same part of Kent...Nice to know there are fellow babblers around
hi Jeannie! I know my profile says CAnterbury, but really I'm outside Faversham - but no-one's heard of that LOL
well i have lol
yay :):)
Any clues for the last ed4?
Have friends in Faversham and Hernhill
ir5.18 ends in a knockout. hello everyone
what you do to a book thats too long
ed4.... what publishers do to manuscripts before printing
oh duh Thanks Saphhie
hi again lynxxx
what about ir 6/30?
My mum has a caravan in Seasalter near Favesham Atalante
kkiln - - ir5.18 ends in a knock-out. the ir6.30 is its plural
Should get together and have a party lol
ir + 4th vowel + knockout, and pl
oh really ren? I walk my dog at Seasalter!
Sounds as if you can have a Kent Convention!
How about the fa6?
and I know Hernhill well - we live about a mile away from there!
afternoon all
Thanks,.....not too smart of me..
posh name for poo, lady!
Well you probably know my friends, the family been there for ages ..theres loads of them
Funny clue MVA
only been a couple of times so don't know area well
hi firefly -- thanks for the remembrance. May he rest in peace.
indeed ch1212
seasalter's lovely - its really quiet down on the beach - its a local dog walkers beach rather than a touristy beach
It's nice..Not like Margate..Couldn't see the beach when the heatwave was here
Hey, Firefly, your dog shares my maiden name
might be worth a look next time we go, my son would love it
hey ladynoire - interesting :) he was named before we got him but it was a good name
in the middle of the heatwave, there were actually people at seasalter. maybe 20 or 30!
I like it - I wish I'd named one of my boys Tucker
wow a crowd lol
my husband liked it because it was a Star Trek: Enterprise character LOL
like to go to Seasalter on a windy day..you get blown away
it was LOL! normally I don't see another person down there. Or maybe 1-2 at the max!
except a few weeks ago, there were *loads* of people there - a Rare Bird appeared and birdwatchers descended left right and centre
Oh well next time I go .If I see a solitary person on the beach with their dog..I'll come and say hello..
me with a mad black spaniel!
Theres a lot of twitchers in this area..They congregate in Blean Woods alot
excuse me for butting in, but what's a 'twitcher' jeannie?
oh do they? I'll have to watch out for them - I've only been to the Blean a few times
I live in Hastings
It's a birdwatcher..dont know why theyre called that..perhaps its because they have to keep so still..they get twitchy lol
oh, LOL! I was afraid it was some sort of bad person.
i thought that too ch1212!
sorry to interrupt, but could i get a clue for in 6/21?
Well there's probably some of those as well, but I haven't encountered any so far on my rambles
DM, if you are making in****s on the grid you are making progress
in other words, in + what you drive on
"mosh" should be a word...
thanks ch1212
I love it when I get Fireworks. I scroll the page up, so that I see them as they happen
good for you exwren!
congrats ExWren
Hi rosalind used to love the beach at Hasting before they built the SeaLife Centre..Sat in the car and ate fish and chips..best i've tasted
ro 6/21 --- the last one of the ro's?
yay exwren!
Congrats ExWren!
I was beginning to despair
ro6/21 one who helps a band or group on a tour
it's the same as the first, kkiln, but different vowel ending
great clue MVA
okay I take that back ... sorry. I'm a bobblehead today
got to go now, see you tomorrow!
hooray Wren!
Good afternoon Babblers! How does the grid look today? As many weird words as yesterday?
Night MVA
hello Scrabbler
night MVA
Hi metaleather
MVA and CH1212 -- I am not referring to the tour...but the very last RO on Lickety's list.
hi Scrabbler - didn't play yesterday, but I've managed to drag myself over the halfway mark today...
ed 8/65 anyone?
I LOVE your icon, firefly! I could not sleep last night, just kept on thinking about Steve
that one, kkiln, is the past tense of the ro5 just before it
ed8 is the plural of the ed7 just before it
kkiln - maybe you're looking for the one that's like where cowboys ride bulls and people watch (lot of times at fairs)but it has an extra vowel, spelling it like something you drive on
yes, no cowboy in Idaho spells it that way, believe me :D
oh, no, i think metaleather has the right idea...sorry
good clue firefly ty
Scrabbler - i fellt it was necessary to carry on telling people about him, i have him on my Myspace too
Thank you Metaleather....I keep missing the past tense today!
Thanks Firefly....I had that one!
sapphie - glad it helped someone, it wasn't right for kkiln ;) I just accidentally found it myself based on misinterpreting someone else's clue
I think we should have a Stevey day in icons tomorrow
you're welcome anyways kkiln :)
Firefly--I read your bio, and I have a rabbit named Tucker, and another named Gandalf--we must have similar likes
ooh, good call Atalante!
LOL Scrabbler - we must!
maybe the day after Ata, I've already found a great icon for tomorrow's current theme
what's tommorrow?
Great idea Atalante..My daughter wanted me to put one up today
the theme for tomorrow is country music
ok :) I'll tell the morning guys tomorrow that we've hijacked the icon theme for thursday
then i guess i'm all trussed up for Thursday :)
Hi Bobsta, are you there??
UNO!
I'm really going to miss him - its a sad day in Australia today
wait, that's a different game when you have one left

hi everyone that came on recently

we could hijack it officially if Babbler would pop in and change the schedule for us!
Atalante - email her!
that's cool, insect jewellry can wait for another day
fran we used to have contests to see who could keep the most red hots in their mouth the longest
although i have a lovely gnat in amber already picked out.
ah yes chj, it's becoming clear...that could cause issues.
i love it Fran!
good point firefly! :P
either mo 5 please x
Fran, have you read The Amber Room?
Its interesting - in Australia Steve I. was only really known by his appearances on American TV. His untimely passing seems to have made such an impact globally whereas here it is the more the bizarre and ironic way that he has gone that has made the news.
i must shower whilst the little still slumbers - back this evening all
Ewww, pics of pretty jewelry, thats my idea of an icon theme
de 6/27?
m3, past tense of cow sound

Stid--did Tom finish the skylight project?

I take it for a torn rotator cuff and severe arthritis
Ouch
*sigh* no Scrabbler, he didn't. He's not a handyman, and got to a point that he thought he needed more materials. I finally climbed the roof to look and showed him what needed to be changed. It will work.
I'm allergic to most anti inflammatories, codeine and morphine, so I'm limited in my pain control choices
yeah, ouch
hey all :)
big ouch, lady!
All narcotics are hot---sold on the streets
yeah, its in all my joints, I've had osteo arthritis since about age 13 or so - its just recently gotten really painful

Is there a progressive updating stats or something that tells how many of each word osmeone has got?

I think we all try too hard at times Nef
Leviathon - there are stats in Licketys page or on Babblers Anonymous.
Karys -I have no TV in here - I'm upstairs at the moment
No, you are just playing against yourself Levi. Everyone gets points for the words they get
Levia, on Likkety's Babble Clues it tells what the 1st 2 letters are and the number of points for each puzzle. Puzzles last 24 hrs
shame snowy..I'm enjoying it !!
See you later, I need a break :)
And the community in chat are always helpful and willing to chat and usually willing to clue

8 letters, 50 points.
Levi....word starts with oe...has 8 letters and is worth 50 points
only the enable dictionary used here jfarber. Words you KNOW are words are not necessarily words for enable and words you KNOW can't be words are!
Abd that's all the clues you get?
Nice.
LOL snowy...that about sums it up !
Oh, I know...I just wish the enable disctionary was more normal.
i've been thru a mess of dictionaries looking for the oe...is enable somewhere on line?
LOL! Don't we all wish that at one time or another, jf!
we don't do 'normal' here jf....you should know that !
The game discriminates against words too..... not once have I found "gollywhoppers" in a grid!
There is a word list at A-Z Wordfinder.com.
Judy....take the first 4 letters you must have by now and add pe4/5
evening dear all; so sad about mtnjock. He was a good man.

Hi ping & mab. It was a real shock to read scoutmoms message last night. He was so much fun last year.
who is mtnjock?
ap6/24......change first letter of herbs and ****** you add to enhance food
ty karys never would have got that
what has occurred snowy ?
mtnjock was a Babble player akaan. He played a lot last winter but we haven't seen him so much this last few months.
I have that one.
yes, i feel a bit shaken...
is he ok snowy?
OMG Snowy! That's who invited me here today
Ok tangleword.
Karys, mtnjock has died. There is a posting in Babblers Anonymous from scoutsmom
on*
how dreadful
oh dear.....thats sad...I will say goodnight and go and read x
I am so sorry .............and saddened for his family
Akaann, It's me, MRBOGGLE

have you solved the whole puzzle yet levi?
steve irwin was only 44... he just died too :(

The death of Steve Irwin was senseless.
nope, I have 21 left
Again, I am deeply saddened
apparently his death is one tape because they were filming
Levi, you are one hot player........... glad u like the game
Yes mab- been to the pub quiz & not very sleepy -I will probably regret it tomorrow! LOL
I still have 29 to go...and last night it flipped when I was on 14!
19 now
Just found 2 good ones....
wtg levi
just remind me not to play tangle with you
oh, those pub quizes sound like fun - your village life enchants me. You are like a character in a wonderful nove.
gogo levi
novel
although I know life is not like fiction exactly...
Thanks :D
fireworks! and hello everyone
levi, are you going to join and pay your fee?
you have to pay? o_O

i have been playing here for quite a while
hey Nef, the fire is 95% contained now in St. Maries. now we have another bigger one going on in Big Timber!
oh.. I never will.
Oh it's not that exciting mab! LOL I meet my sisters in their local pub. It's not a very challenging quiz -which is just as well really LOL! there is a general knowledge section & a music round and dingbats & anagrams etc. ood fun & the prize is £15 sterling -so not exactly riches!
but dont think i am bright enough :)
can I have a clue for the K someone?
lbd, I was trying to find out today if the Big Timber fire was causing problems along the freeway
hi lbd
it sounds like cosy fun... i seem intent on romanticizing.
Hey Ibdawger. I know St. Maries, if it is in Idaho.
Nef, they haven't mentioned closing the interstate yet. I haven't seen a map to see just where the fire is spreading...over 80,000 acres so far
levi- people bitch and m***(change the m to k)
Sandi, this is St Maries in Glacier national park
Hi Ping
levi, for the ko 4, take the type of coffee, rev. the last 2 letters
levi you can use your mo4/5
LOL Mab!
are you in a safe area, ibd?
oh dang, I hardly ever see anyone on here from Idaho
I couldn't find a map of it either, but a week or so ago they closed I-90 for a while because of it
thank you beebee
however, I am living in Utah now
Ohhhh! I got it, thanks!
I'm safe, but not from smoke...lots of areas are burning. fortunately, i'm not anywhere near the Big Timber fire
smoke makes for great sunsets :)
lbd, I was over checking out your on-line local paper and found a story of a family friend! :)
Oh I hope it was good news.
The sunsets are always beautiful up here. i really could do with out all the smokey haze tho. does nothing for star gazing
true
does anyone need a clue?
Rudy Autio is a very old family friend; he's the artist who did the Grizzly for the U of M!
hi bb
yes - the first 2 ro6/21s beebee pls
hey ping
http://activefiremaps.fs.fed.us/firepl ots/nrw2006248_1700.jpg this is an image of the MT fires
dog- cowboys ride at the ro***** (change the spelling to what you drive on and plural for the 7)
ohh ty beebee!
dog- the 2nd is the people who do all the work when traveling with a bahd not a groupie but a ro****
I havent' read the paper this week...i'll have to checkit out tonight when i get home
Thanks lbd! I'm trying to keep close tabs; I'm driving out there with my sister on the 14th
what part are you coming to Nef?
*band
thanks, bb, i needed those too
thx again beebee :)
Ohh, I have that one Dog.
bb's very good at cluing!
Missoula, of course!
bb, what do the 8s start with?
14th of September of October?
ed8 builds from the 7
ONe starts with E
now THAT is one neat map, lbd! :D
oe8- having to do with a complex by freud
ed 65, oe 50, ping. yes, think of greek drama for the oe.
Sept
ed 7 and 8 refer to buildings or large complex
net, it's http://activefiremaps.fs.fed.us web site. lots of good info there on fires nation wide
How come it says there are 135 words total, and I have 121 words so far. And my Word Stats says I have 23 left? Shouldn't I have 14 left?
Refresh your page Leviathon
levi- refresh
are you going to be able to stay a while? Rollin' stones are playing at the university October 6th
Oh! Ok thanks.
mab- i kept looking at your icon- then it hit me my mom has that picture in her guest room
no, lbd, this is a quick road trip for my nieces wedding on the 16th. My sis and I are driving out onthe 14th and we have to be back on the 19th. It should be interesting for 2 "mature" ladies of a certain age! ;)
(certain age = still working but nearing retirement
sounds nice, bb; i love the image and the color - must look nice big.
hi, I am back to give some clues if anyone needs any
hi phandmd
HI Snowy
ahh, retirement...it's not in my future, but i sure enjoy what others have told me about it.
Hi Phan
mab- she loves it, i'll tell her it made it to a babble icon- what an honor :)
It'd love to see the Stones in a place like the U of M; much better than here in the huge builings in the Twin Cities'
Hi Lbd
hi phan
well, i'm off to try to get some bills paid and laundry done- i'm sure i'll be back, since those things are no fun. good luck everyone
Hey, Ping
bye bee
bye bee
by BB
bye bb.
oh, Nef, I'm originally from Mpls., Linden Hills. Not been back for many years, but would like to visit
bye beebee
why do I always do that BYE!
bye bye bee bee
thanks bb and mab for 8 clues
i had a crybaby break and now i'm back
i'm chuckling...bye bye bee bee reminded me of the song bye bye birdie
we're nicely color-coordinated, ping.
mab, our first house here was on the other side of Lake Calhoun; right by Lakewood cemetary! I loved Linden Hills!
sooo... who wants to clue for the pa5 and 6 pretty pls
yes, we're in sync today
pa+long time
pa + ouch
dog, odd spelling of lowly person
7 left!!
Go Leviathon!
some peoples' names are just fun to say, aren't they lbd?
58 left!
Go Ping!
Phan is so much better at cluing than I am.
why do you say that?
thanx all
Nef, yes they are! i always have fun sayign student names...hoping i'm not slaughtering them.
Can I please have a clue for the O?
Phan, because it's true, you are better at cluing than I am
adjective for son who loves mom in wrong way
now that
now that's a nice clue, phan
Well, lbd, I don't think I am that good; there are many really good cluers here!
Aw shucks!
Phan you are still very good at it. Chj is the king of the cluers, but you are very good at it
LOL
nrkii is good too
Well, I humbly accept the compliment.
I mean the 8 lettered O word
That is the one I clued, Leviathon
Levi...think freudian and then add Phan's clue
Oh ok
I agree chj is very good at cluing? BUT where is he tonight when we *need* him! ;)
probably watching baseball! lol
What is the other O word? clues, please?
oo* & aahs
oohs
yes!
oh yes, I think I remember where that is nef, i'd be so lost if left to navigate on my own after all the years. I remember that one street that ends at the cemetary and then one must take a right toward the lake or a left toward I forget where.
can't seem to get the speeling of the oe/8 :(
spelling
Pass the fish, please! <blush>
take the first four letters of the freudian word and add the type of hammer after it
yes, I had to look it up in a to z cuz I couldn't come up with it myself
<*)))<<< just for you Nef
that was a good one LBD
OHHH! nailed it
for the oe, you'd normally have a 'pal' at the end, but not this time.
mab, the street that ends at the cemetary is Hennepin Ave, you have to turn left to get to Linden Hills.
ty-that was a tuff one
Thanks
It really was
yeah, that Oe one is a doozey
Thanks lbd, I needed that for that word. I was everywhere else but there!
wow.... it's been a really long time and i never did have a sense of direction (i'm an idiot)
How did someone manage to find it?
I cant imagine ever finding that in my lifetime
I think i tried totally illogical combinations...finally had to go to puzzlers to figure it out!
Now, Now, Mab...
mab, you really nailed it though! :)
what is the website for puzzlers?
Puzzlers?
Whats that?
12 left...
no idiot for finding that word. www.puzzlers.org is a site for finding words.
i have lots of visuals of the place in my mind, i've just forgotten the map points and names, that's all...
once you get there, scroll down to word finder and click on it. it's pretty easy to use and can be quite selective for you.
Go Judy!
cmon Judy!
We used to eat at Lucia's, which was i think at lake and hennepin. once there was an enormous rain storm and we all had to go down to Lucia's cellar.
time to close down...see you all from the home front
nite lbd!
when did you live here mab?
2 left!!
:O:O
Lucia's is/was at Lake and Hennepin. In all the years it's been there, I never have gone there to eat!
I was born there. Honestly, I have a kind of disability when it comes to direction.
must go read bedtime stories...better not flip on me!
It doesn't look like it to me! you have a very good memory from the sounds of it
Yes!!! Im finished
this game is fun
*bookmarks babble*
I moved away about 20 years ago to d.c. and then western mass. My very best friends still live there - Bloomington.
Yay Leviathin!
congrats Leviathon! Glad you enjoyed it
Way to go!
Thanks!
did you see the fireworks Levia?
I'm amazed Lucia's is still there - she was thinking of getting out of the business way back when.
Yeah just saw that :P
woot woot levi
well done leviathon!
Do you get fireworks upon completion?
Yes I did
it says:
wtg levi
Congratulations! You've completed today's puzzle! {close}
[close]*
Not many 1st timers are able to finish.....congrats
Heee! :D (exciting read, isn't it Leviathon?
Lev, you amaze me. I am determined to finish this one today... before midnight!
(only my 2nd puzzle ever today)
here mab, just for you! http://www.lucias.com/reviews/tcco-op/ tcco_op.htm :D
How long were you at it?
Took me about an hour
Summer, I play boggle at Games.com. I am a pro there with maximum rating.
Robin, he said initially that he's a wiz at boggle and has developed his own puzzle word list.
Are you joking!? Is that a normal time?
but it's still great that you finished Levia! :D
r u serious, levi?
not!
Well with a help with the 8 letterd O and a couple others! I couldn't have done it without the 5 clues i got
or 4 or 3, can't quite remember.
still, levi
:P
thats no excuse for finishing in an hour
:p
?
LOL!, I'm too busy chatting to work on the puzzle,
I used to play boggle as a kid, I still feel like a wimp
lol
Your saying I cheat?
... That's pathetic, Dog.
not at all levi, we're impressed
Oh I'm sorry
we're giving you a hard time Levia, don't take it wrong! Anyone who finishes in an hour will probalby get teased too! :D
just how you worded it
sorry i was being a bit sarcastic
im sorry!
no 5/12
I'm saying: I'm jealous!
same here summer :)
Does anyone here play Boggle on Games.com or now: atari.games.com?
Me too! (and if I shut up and work on this grid, I might finish my last 51 words!)
I play WEBoggle, Levia
I still think kosh should be a word... it's what I want to do to whoever makes this darn addictive game...
i play on weboggle.shackworks.com levi
some people play them and weboggle too
Same dog
same*
a lot of people do "the problem site" - word puzzles
I'm "Jeffrey" there, recognize me?
*hi-fives nef and levi cuz they play weboggle too*
hmmm not off the top of my head... wait maybe....
here's a link to problem site, if you're curious: http://www.quote-puzzler.com/default.a sp?refer=X2Q1RM
my mom is happy summer on weboggle, she plays all the time
i think hurshy started a babble team in weboggle
really ping?
does she like babble, dog?
no she doesn't play babble :(
she's mentioned it here before - i've never played on a team in weboggle before though
oh i like it, especially when theres a big grid
I feel like a dolt on weboggle; I love it when I'm at least 1/3 the way up the score board
and everyone's names are so entertaining :p
Well I'm not too good at it becuase I mouse at Boggle
i'm bad at it too, nef
So I truly suck at typing
thats whats great about teams, its a lot easier to score well!
in babble you get points for persistence
weboggle req. more raciness
yeah, there's no element of speed
time goes so fast there!
ir 5 or 6?
Well I feel like a dolt here.Used to think I had a pretty wide vocabulary. Pah!
Yes there is Dog, without it you cant get a high score on huge boards.
That's why I tend to play the ugly boards.
david, vocabulary has no place in babble lol
that was cool, nef, thanks. now i must have something to eat.
yea levi, those 10-worders are awesome :p
ir + ono's first name - y
then plural
Yeah lol
thx ping

LOL, mab! :D I was looking for some neat pictures for you and couldn't find what I wanted of Linden Hills I LOVED the co-op there
Wow ping, excellent clue. Never would have thoguht of that
hi eveyone
oh, sorry - the site wouldn't let me in so i googled lucia's. I vaguely remember the co-op, very vaguely.

Hm. Didn't mean to confuse by last night's chapter. What I meant to convey was that Paul didn't go to the doctor's by accident -- his sister in law had tipped him off that something was amiss.

ro7,32 pretty please...not as cryptic as Levi's last clue about his auntie, though!
lb, i o u!
He thought about how his Aunt Nancy had "wandered" into the market and let his father know things were not as they should be.
Judy - like the thing cowboys ride in, during fairs a lot of times, but with an extra vowel in the middle
He thought about how easily his father seemed to handle things.
what you drive on + or** (the cookie)
Where cowboys rope calves and ride bulls, but spell it like the pavement we ride on.
It didn't bother him at all to be a stranger -- different from and unknown to the others around him.
Judy, use the ro4.5 and add 2nd and 4th vowel
then make it plural
ei4?
neva mind
It didn't seem to matter to him whether other people "liked" him or not. He seemed to assume they did -- or would, once they got to know him.
good evening everyone
Esmeralda shifted in her bed, and Otto got up to check on her. He freshened up the cool cloth on her forehead and pulled back the extra blanket so she wouldn't be too warm.
HI Hodag
hey ho
hi hodag
Finally! Thanks...hate those whacky alternate spellings...is that aussie/british or something? (no offense...)
He set a kettle on the stove to boil for tea and returned to his reverie.
Hi Hodag!
done JudyMio?
repeat of message regarding dillibus - her monitor has been out of commission since earlier today but will be back as soon as this situation is remedied
Judy, i think it's enable...just dumb spellings on some words.
So all of the people with an avatar payed to play this game? o_O
He thought about his Aunt Nancy -- she cared very much what people thought, and spent (it seemed to the young man) a lot of time mending fences and promoting the appearance she wanted people to have.
yes, Levi, we paid a one time fee, and not only get to have icons but stat boxs for the grid.
flosey - tell jillibus we'll miss her till then ;)
thanks for the update, flosey!
thanks firefly, I certainly will pass that on
and stidmama
poor Jilli. hope her monitor gets fixed soon
Stat boxes?
What's that?
yes, she's very frustrated, as you can imagine
Levi - they tell you how many words start with each tile, as well as how many words of each length there are in each grid
I have that fire
He looked at the doctor. In many ways, she was like both his aunt and his father.
And I didn't pay
I thought new players get those free for two weeks???
you only have that as a trial Levi
Levi - it's only a two week trial when you first sign up, when it disappears, you have to pay to get it back
She had very high status in the village, as one of the wisest advisors as well as being the one people turned to for most of life's biggest occasions.
Oh so once my 2 weeks expire, I can't play on my account anymore, am I force to pay then?
Oh.. Now thats retarded...
The fee is nominal, it is definately worth supporting the site, for the enjoyment of the game and the comraderie of the players.
"takes off bookmark"
4 left
no, no - you just have to pay if you want the stats and the icons etc. - you can still play!!
Levi, you can continue playing but withouth the stats and fireworks
anyone can play Levi, you don't have to pay, but you wont have the tile stats after your trial period
Oh!!
Fireworks... lol.. you mean icons?
no fireworks, though??
fireworks, for the first time
fireworks for when yuo complete the grid. the tile stats turn into a fireworks display
whoo hooo DMG!
WTG DM
yay DMG!
Yet, she didn't mind telling the truth as she saw it, even when everyone around her was of another mind.
YAY DMG!
She certainly didn't dress to impress...
Oh cool!
bravo DMG
and she was the same with a stranger as with someone she had known for thirty years.
New here...how long does it take after you pay for the upgrade for things to change? Paid yesterday, but no change yet...
*i really like esmeralda.*
Polite, succinct, but gentle and caring.
what change were you expecting?
fo4/8 is driving me crazy! I've already got the one where you fill out a fo**
ddb4 -- go to "My Account" link at the top right of the page. That is where you can add an icon, a profile, etc.
Me?
It still looks like they want me to upgrade...nothing is different.
ddb, you should have an account link where you can add bio info and icon
WOOT! FIREWORKS!
Thanks...
Esmeralda, like Paul, had come from a different place, but unlike Paul had arrived with some fanfare.
YAY girlie!
whoo hoo Girlie! Robin think enemies
did you pick a user name & password?
What's the one payment fee?
argh... forgot to plug in my word in lickety, had 4/8 already
ddb, when you fill in your account check of the show profile box
liba - funny icon, even if it's old ;)
fo+ **cape from Alcatraz
Levi, it's 14.95 US
fee is $14.95 for life
The village's former healer, a man of great reputation, had known for some time that he was ailing, and had written to all the doctors and healers he knew, asking for the name of anyone who might be willing to come to the remote village.
And like 30$ Canadian
now I need an fa4/7 ... I've got one ending in "r" and same with "n"
Or is canadian money worth less than US money? Forget..
Many had replied, but one recommendation in particular had stood out: a young woman who had lost her husband and baby in a great flood that had washed down the side of their valley.
i don't know what the exchange rate is. you'll have to ask one of our canadian members
fa + yes or **
Me again...when I go into the account, it says I have to go pro first, but I did. Is there a site for newbies?
ha!
thx bubba
She had taken her grief and begun a quest to find a new purpose in life.
ddb - you might need to email Dr God then...
ddb, it sounds like you need to contact Dr-God.
Will do...thanks everyone!
anytime ddb
Dr. God's address is at the very bottom of this page
In this, she was no different from any person who has suffered a great loss. She spent many sleepless nights, reading books in monasteries.
chj how are you doing tonight
She spent days wandering from one place to another, helping people as she could, and learning valuable lore on the way.
is chj online?
Kahlua - cute icon :)
thank you....
i haven't seen him tonight. hi kahlua
Eventually, she had found her way to a monastery on a vast plain, where they cared for the most ill and most disabled.
Kahlua... How much was the Canadian fee for membership?
the "who's online" says that he's on but I haven't seen him yet
She had readily set herself the task of fetching and carrying for the healers in the monastery, and in a short time had started helping them gather ingredients for their recipes.
$14.95 I paid with an AMerican credit card....
Oh.. :(
2 left
She learned to set broken bones; to help with difficult childbirth; to mix pain relieving potions for the injured; to sit as comfort and witness for the last hours of the dying.
why do you ask? regardless of country I can't imgine it's that much
cmon Judy! you can do it!
Oh just to see how much it would be Canadian since the exchange rate is different in the US and Canada... I'm just considering paying
but probably not
I'm better off at boggle
Yet she was not satisfied, and it was soon obvious that, despite her many talents, she was not yet "home."
it's 16.62 CAD
The current exchange rate is 1.25 can =1.00 us, so 14.95 us =18.69 Can
I would pay it...your bank/credit card company will charge you the current exchange rate
Levi - it's easier and more fun once you've played awhile and get the hang of some of the repetitive weird words - bigger grids can be exciting too (like over 250 words up to 400)
When the village doctor contacted the head of the monastery, who had been his own mentor, it seemed a perfect fit.
in 6/30?
*fireworks*
levi, you really can't beat this game
Yeah, I play this Boggle game CD I won in a cereal box.. In the game it tells how many words are in each tray
Esmeralda craved the connection with a community, where joy and life were still very present.
I come close to completing the whole thing... but this one crazy long word messes me up at end.. like peretrgsf---
bravo Rieman
YAY riemann! Took you all of 15 minutes, I suppose. *pout*
The people are great, and helpful, the grid is always challenging, and if you make it you get fireworks....the hours of work are so worth it ;)
Something along those lines
16.62 can is the correct amount, I entered the wrong # in my calculator
whoo hoo Riemann! robin, call the 911 ****** them of an emergency
in6/60 builds off in4/7.
help with the "o" word please?
good evening folks
So I guess huge boards would be pretty fun here
So the village doctor invited Esmeralda to come and learn by his side and take up the reins when he was through...
And she did.
hi LA!
If you consider what a meal out costs, or a movie, etc, the amount of time you spend at this site is more well worth it. It also supports the site and the people who run the servers, create the grids, etc
If you like your mother too much, you'd have a complex that starts the oe word.
Otto tried to imagine Esmeralda as a young woman.
Hi leslieann! which o word kbc?
dawger, I don't get it 911 ??
They can be...and if you get stuck there is always someone here to help
He failed miserably. The kettle on the stove came to a boil and he added the herbs that would relieve her fever and let her get some restful sleep.
But Kahula, that's the negative... wouldn't it be funner without help?
robin, try this one...i need 411
Just my opinion..
thx dawger
He knew that she was related in some to the people of the village, but she hadn't grown up there.
i just don't get the oe word...another clue maybe more obvious? lol
If you tell on someone, or if you rat out a member of the mob you are called an *****er
Because in the end, everyone gets fireworks. No credit is given to one who had the most words found at end.
levi, it's just like you're doing tonight, giving and getting help when you're stuck
not really....there is an art to understanding some of these clues
If you don't want the help Leviathon, then you don't leave the chat log visible and you do the grid on your own... That's actually what most people do!
Yeah because it is acceptable. I just thoguht it was non help free. However I can't complain on here. It's pretty cool how you hand out clues
firefly, the freudian word...first four letters + type of hammer
can anyone help with the fa 6/30 or oe 8/50?
inge is a great cluer if you are looking to get it "right now" bubba....you have to kinda firgue out where he's coming from
And you're right. If you want a truly competitive "game" then there are other places where you can have that need met.
oe + princess ** + pe 4
oe + sour cream and onion soup mixed together is called a *** + people who live on Atlantis were call Atlant***s ( convoluted enough for you)
how about this for oe 8: oe + princess ** + pe 4/5
got the oe ty all
oh crud inge beat me to it ;)

Otto carefully prepared the tea for the doctor and opened the window briefly for some fresh air (the little stove tended to leak).
pa6/24 is father + **side, not outside
ah thanks veda, i was looking for that one too
He stood there, looking out on the sleeping village. A light here or there in a window, the sound of a dog barking; a cat trying to attract attention.
Fireworks!!! I dedicate this win to vedaman
ro7/32?
When Esmeralda arrived in the village all those years ago, it had been Spring.
well I'm stuck on the ro7 and I'm certain it's a fish word because I think I know how it starts but...
YAY Kahlua!
nm, got it
hooray kahlua!
alt. spelling of bucking bulls shows, kristin
She had stepped off the wagon that transported her and looked cautiously around at her mother's home.
thanks kahlua!
think cowboy thing with an 'a' added in
no wait, bucking broncos, not bulls
She had been there just once before, for her cousin Ava's wedding, but she was a young child then, and remembered only a little.
thank you!
She was a thin woman, her features drawn with grief and hunger. Her small bag and the trunk of medicines from the monastery sat on the ground beside her.
done!
stepped away for a sec, but thank you STID for the mo4/9 clue...i finally got it!
if no clues are needed I'll see you all at the flip
The birds had sung and a butterfly came and perched on her shoulder briefly.
:-) Clams'R'Us!
later kahlua
Stid, sorry to be rude but what the hell are you doing?
kahlua i missed your finish! congrats!!
yay Leslie....
Soon, a crowd of children had gathered, and her face lit up.
stid is telling a story
ty leslie
Levi - LOL she's telling a story, does each night at this time - it's archived in Babbler Anon (see link below)
In no time, a young boy named Peter had pushed to the front of the group and bowed courteously.
She still remembered his little speech, "If you please, ma'am, the doctor is with a sick person in the valley, and you are welcome at my mother's home until his return."
se5/14?
He had motioned to his brother and they had hefted the trunk with little effort.
hooray! I'm done...had to refresh so no firewords but I'm done!
To the songs of the other children, who were more numerous by the moment, Esmeralda walked bemusedly toward the edge of the village, to be greeted by a kind -- and familiar -- face at last.
yayyy kristin!
YAY kristin!
congrats kristinc!!
thank u, thank u
anyone need any clues?
Oh my gosh Stid. I'm sorry but this is how you occupy your time? :O
My god.
Ava had met them halfway up the street, so excited was she. At the sight of Esmeralda, travel weary and careworn, she had given a gasp and enfolded her in loving arms, as only a cousin can do.
se5/14? last one!
Otto turned from the window as Esmeralda called his name.
easy there Levi...
*Whips out popcorn*
veda...take the cross letter out of your se 6/24
veda...or add the ep 4/6
Quickly, he helped her sit up and handed her a cup of tea.
She looked at him critically.
i'm troubled with the ir5 and 6
"You haven't slept, have you boy?"
He grinned, "No ma'am, but I can sleep tomorrow at the market."
Fireworks! thanks kristin!
-ir + ono's first name - y
ir+y*** Ono and plural
"Hm. And this is what you call tea?"
YAY vedaman!
hooray veda!
heard that ffrom somone
thanks Levi and kristin - never would've gotten em
Okay, I'm going to make like Renfield and work a bit...goodnight all!
Esmeralda sighed happily and leaned back against the pillows.
you're welcome firefly...goodnight
night kristinc - good seeing you here :)
"You're a good boy. I knew your mother before she was born, you know -- She is doing a fine job."
Is there anyway I can private chat someone on here?
nope Levi, not that i'm aware of
oh ok
Otto stoked the fire and returned to the comfortable chair.
He looked at her. "What is wrong? Earlier you were too sick to tell Father."
Does anyone actually read Stid's story?
She made a face and pulled the blanket up a little higher, "I was foolish, boy, that's all! I helped a fellow at the tavern a few days back, and forgot to stand well back when he was sick."
Some do, Leviathon, other's ignore me. :-)
Levi - lots of people do, but like I said, it's also archived in BabAnon for those who can't be here at this time each night
She drained her cup and handed it back to Otto with a yawn.
i only ignore her because i can read it later :P and i'm too engrossed in finding my last TWO words
alright, down to 10, need some clues :) de6?
"There's a stool in the corner, boy, and an extra blanket in the chest under the table. I'll wake you if I need you."
to make a likeness of? or act the character of? de6, de+the first part of what you take with a camera
Otto started to pull out the blanket.
"And don't forget to put out the light. Sweet dreams."
Go firefly go!
ty firefly
Go Ornith go!
ok, clue for the se5/12 - i'm stumped

He turned and smiled at her, "Sweet dreams, ma'am."
ed7 and 8, think building

ty firefly
And he banked the fire in the stove and put the cover on the lamp so the pretty pinkpricks made pictures on the ceiling and walls.
do you have the se5/12? i need that one
**that's it for tonight's chapter.**
Now to finish the grid!
ok, i know i'm blonde, but i just can't seem to get the only K word on the board. any help?
bravo Stid!
nope firefly, missing that one too
thanks firefly :-)
idicyidikat: think zen
I have 56 words left... may or may not finish tonight. Let's see what the dogs and kids do...
idicy - i struggled with that one too, try k + two diff. vowels and a consonant
who's got the se5/12???
FF, family car
geez, that really helped with the k didn't it? ummm...someone give a better clue *sigh*

YAY Ornith!
Leviathon -- an hour and 15 minutes... flip is at Midnight Chicago time.
ummm....are you talking about the flip Levi? it's not until 10pm PST
o.o
I know -- I get confused a lot too with the time difference!
But im in Canada Central TIme
and its 11:00 in 15 mins
Levia, I'm back again (doing laundry takes forever here; too many dirty clothes tonight).
heya Nef
At the top of the grid on the right side, what do you see up there?
just ABOVE the grid
Oh poo! Nef -- I left two loads out on the line! LOL well, might as well let them stay and get some more fresh air. I'll bring them in tomorrow after they dry again!
inro
oh
there's a little timer and there is 1+ hour left on mine.
Erm... but that's just rounding off. Technically it's in 15 minutes
LOL Stid - i leave mine out occasionally too, but today i got lazy and used the dryer *gasp*
no, technically, it's in 70 to 75 minutes
sorry. :(
I feel so dumb right now... o_o
Ok lemme get this straight
Alright, time for me to sign off so I don't get tempted to stay for the flip and not get any sleep :P might be back anyway though :P
So there is 15 minutes left, and we get 1 hour or waiting for looking over the words etc. right?
I am trying to save a bit of $$$$, firefly -- and the kids have plenty of clothes for tomorrow so there's no hurry. I'll have to start using the dryer soon enough... by the end of Sept the air doesn't stay dry and warm long enough to do much.
Or just another solid hour of playing on tray
bye Ornith (or is it? lol)
My clothes are taking forever to do because I didn't do them last week; I've got a bum foot and the stairs are kind of difficult to do with it; so I put it off too long this week!
I think it's time I went to bed.. My mind is just out there..
we have 1 more hour to finish this grid in; well, at least those of us who are putzing along like me anyway!
stid - i love saving money with the clothesline too, every Saturday and Tuesday, but today I just didn't feel like going out in my jammies to hang the linens with the neighbors possibly watching ;)
oh Nef, my empathies -- our house is all on one level... but last week when I couldn't walk I let things slide. I was doing a lot of extra loads this weekend!
the grid flips at midnight on Central time
Leviathon, that happens to us all! LOL took me a while to figure out the 1+ and all that...
Ok conclusion: I wasted 5 hours of my life.
'Cause there is no way I'm waiting another hour
dict
awww, Levi :( when the time in the chat log reaches 12:00, it flips the grid to a new one - does that help?
You think that this is a waste of time? just wait til you're hooked on the game! :D
Unless we sing songs and stuff to keep my mind off of bed!
:D
*pictures firefly in jammies* We have a pretty good distance between us and the neighbors (who all work during the day); but i am also not inclined to be outside in "deshabile"
you got to know some players here; that wasn't a waste, was it?
*singing* one little, two little, three little babble words;
Stella stella ola clap clap clap, singing S chigo chigo, chigo chigo cracker jack, S chigo chigo blow blow, I gotta blow my nose so 1 2 3 4 5
four little five little six little babble words; seven little eight little nine little babble words;
Ten pretty words in a row!
is tomorrow's icon theme still country music?
but i'm a little confused, why was playing a waste? and you don't have to be around for the flip - it'll be on for 24 hours to play tomorrow
*bows and blows chocolate kisses at audience*
*sound of one hand clapping* lol
I'm sitting here looking out the window at the beautiful golden almost-full mo4/5 right now!
:P
oh neat, Nef! I think Luna is up here, but haven't been out to check. Mosquitos, you know!
I dunno, it's cool to start in the beginning.. I don't know..
oh, ok then Levi - you can also strive to be the first to type "flip" in the chat log at 12:00 (the chat log starts over then too)
Levia, lots of people play the grid and finish and leave; lots of people play and then stay and chat; lots of people do what they have to. We're pretty relaxed that way!
LOL firefly! and then be the first to find the really big words ---
Fireworks - we were just down at the dock to see the Luna - beautiful
Ohhh that's why everyone was saying that in the 'View Entire Chat Log" area.
I am so relaxed at the moment I am about to fall asleep!
:) i'm not quite that ambitious stid LOL gotta run, Dirty Jobs is coming on and hubby wants to watch together
no one told you that?
Thought that someone named Flip entered and they were greeting him/her or something.
YAY flosey! Oh I bet she's gorgeous over the water... *sighs, thinking of SSI and how pretty it is*
Later firefly, enjoy watching someone else do the dirty jobs!
indeed she is Stidmama
lol Levi! you'll get the hang of it all soon enough - it's a lot to catch onto
thanks stid, i will *poof*
I think the community helps suck newbies in
you know, I am down to 36 and really very tired. I think I should get that chapter up in BabAnon and then hit the hay. Later all!
evening everyone... just signed into the puzzle for the first time today... 135 words.. oh well.. so how's everyone doing?
Hi Katryn, welcome
Hi Metal. How's your evening?
the puzzle will switch to a new one in about an hour so don't worry too much if you're not done yet. we'll all start over soon.
it's going well, and yours?
pretty well.. kids finally to bed and I'm tired of my economics homework... babble actually helps me relax... wierd huh?
not at all, you can concentrate on this and let the other things sort of slip into the background for a while.
pardon me if I'm sort of slow to respond, I'm trying to figure out how to set up a simple animation in Animation Shop...
no worries metal... I wish I understood what you just said though... sounds like it will look fun... I think...
give me a moment to see if this works and if it does, it will be the little picture beside my name... instead of the wax bottle candy that's there now.
hi
hi Brew
hello Brew
*crickets chirping*
I'd offer to sing, but that would run everyone away for certain
wheeee, fireworks... 8-) cutting it close again
well, my animated icon didn't work so I'll settle for this one.
wooohooo Misu!
Okay, chapter's up. YAY Misu!
and I am outta here. Leviathon, if you stay for the flip, flip for me too! :-)
Stid, is there a way to make our icons animated?
I have one I'd like to use for tomorrow's theme
OK lol
Is there anyone who needs any clues?
crumb I'm so close, only 7 left. can I get a clue for the RO/7
ro7/32 an alternate way to spell the sport with cowboys and horses and bulls and barrel racing, etc.
Good evening to my fellow babblers! How is everyone?
hiya Min
By the way, congratulations to all the finishers! YAY!
Min... is there a way to make our icons animated?
thanks Metal!
I don't know metaleather. I do not have an icon yet.
you're welcome lemon, need anything else?
HI EVERYONE
metaleather, I don't think we can animate our icons. I haven't actually tried. Sometimes animated icons have worked in profile mode but not in the chat log.
Hello Min -- how was the first day of school?
hello fellow babblers - how's everyone??
Hi saphyre! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
thanks Stid. the one I have doesn't seem to be ani. either place. ahhh well
Hi debbinla! How are you doing? Welcome to the grid!
tired, debb. was about to log off but saw a few had come in while I was closing down some other programs.
hi Debb, saphyre
My first day of school was okay. Was thinking about Babble during our boring staff development meeting.
glad you stuck around so i could say hello sid! hey min, metal saph
I wish they'd have little mini-grids we could practice on if we finish early
not that that happens to me all that often
Now that I am working,I do not get on the computer until late. Didn't start to Babble 'til about 8:00 or so.
LOL Min -- meetings are so similar, no matter where a person works...
that would be great metaleather
work has that annoying tendency to get in the way of what we'd really lkie to do!
lemon, you need any more clues?
I have another boring day of meetings tomorrow also
Metaleather, a similar game is "Text Twist" in Yahoo games... it is a scrambled letter game, find all the words you can in (two minutes?) a set time. I find that working both types of puzzles helps both!
Stid, try playing Word Racer there
wow. that was long and convoluted. I am outta here for real... :-) See you tomorrow when I shall be ... *drumroll* kidless all day!
Beyond the funnest game I've ever played
Any help with the Fa 4/7s please? I can't figure them out for anything tonight
hey everyone!
Thanks Leviathon, I will -- tomorrow when I can see straight.
bye Stid :)
