Furthermore, the Idol shows don't invite the viewers to experience the talent of the contestants, but rather invite the audience to watch the humiliation and essenceless spirit of other red necks or foul-mouthed clods like William Hung.
I never even liked slapstick. Guess this is just not for me.

I watched a few TV progs and did my magazine ripping out an sorting thing at same time, then chatted to daughter and her b/f and helped with their crossword, then came in to check my e-mails, then played an offline word game or two, then came in here. If I could lie down and sleep, I would!

I have monkeyed the most ridiculous words tonight. Had myself laughing at some of them I tried.
Krista - my other ha;f is 'a lark', being a trucker. It's not his true nature though. So, at times, our worlds and body clocks collide and crash, sometimes.... well, we don't need to go into that! and at other times we are just like that silly fantasy couple on a beach somewhere, who run to mett each other and MISS! LOL.
Sometimes this is okay with both of us. Sometimes okay with one, But we work it out.
I hear you! I see us sleeping in different rooms one day, though the idea makes me a bit sad. My Dad was a truck driver...poor guy was always trying to sleep and we made it miserable.

In my teens, I'd be in bed by 12.30 and yawning by 2am, if I had to be up and out then. When I got married (in '77) and had to be up by 6.30am for work, I was in bed for 10.20pm.
Krista- I know what you meant, and I think we nnight owls in this house sometimes do the same here, although unintentionally for my Other Half.Most times though, if he's been up for 4am and got home at 5/6/7/9am - he's too shattered to hear or care.
I miss going out on the road with him, as I once did.
Yep, school was sooo hard for me because I could never get to sleep. My schedule is very off now because my 5 year old was up all night, and slept all day today (strep throat). But this is natural for me, so it will be hard to reverse it. Is he a long-distance driver?
