How are you doing Melon? Sunny in ISrael this morning.
hi arb!
hi everyone
hi andree!
sore side, but i'm coping - i'm sure the discomfort is temporary. sheleg here in cleveland, but right around freezing.
This is a friendlier grid than yesterday.
Clues are up!
now i have to figure out mitch's tantalizing un9 clue. . .
Thank you, O Lickety!!!!
hey lickety!
3 cheers for lickety!
hip,hip...
Thank you Lickety. Go Bears.

wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo o haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
goody Lickety
thanks doc!
great echo in here Lickety
what a silly word ... br 9
i agree
i found that too easily, i think i've been babbling too long
why? nice compound word
it is silly - iguessed it right out, no sillier than had it been do8 - a sinker.
i figured it couldn't possibly be so i typed it in anyway.....
aaaaaaaaaaaooooooooooooooooow!
I must not be playing long enough...
was that pain or discovery, Melon?
i was echoing back at lickety - just being silly. it only hurts when i laugh - really - or bend over, or look over my shoulder. . .
yay! finally greyed out a letter (that's more than 1 word)
melon, i know your pain is not funny, but the picture of you keeping perfectly still kind of made me chuckle.
way to go Fran - you made me laugh! - s'OK ;)
oops. :-)
which letter did you grey out?
just found the un 9 -- doesn't make any sense either!
the bottom M.
I'm not getting that un9; is it 2 words or is the un just a prefix?
2 words
me neither - i have all the other uns
thanx maniac!
oh, so you got the scatty french word
yes, that's what greyed me out
outs
hehe - how juvenile of me to titter
woops bj!
and i wasn't even over there............
BJ, the rule is you have to type words that i don't have yet.
chic didyou get the un9?
does the un9 begin with "beneath?"
yep
I got it!
finally got a word in each square
taDah DRB
looking for RI and RY words that are not there can waste a lot of time
terns
oh finally! got the un9, thanks guys!
that's what i've found also doc. :-)
oh looky there's the word i was so happy not to see in the last puzzle
I am still looking
i'm still stumped, but not ready for clues.
halfway tho :) - i need both 9s & 6 more 7s to meet my half vast goal.
right side grey. enough fun for one night. bye bye buy bonds
bye doc!
bye fran!
bye dr
hi all!
i don't know how it happened, but i greyed out 8s and 9s!
hi mva!
by DrB
i'm missing 5 7s though

same here franny
yay cyborg!!
yay cyborg!
ya cyborg
nice icon Fran!
4 7s & 2 9s to go (toward mediocrity, that is)

i'm happy to clue the 9s melon, don't know if others want to see the clues yet though.
9 is crazy loaves lol
yup Cyborg!
how would you clue it Fran?
oh fine - i got the one bc it is plural of br8 - give me the un9 clue, pleez

compound word
Hi babble buddies!

bye cyborg!
or BR 10 -- totally crazy about the baked good
It's cold! and it's time to get un 5 the covers! Nite All!
by cyb
yup freep, that works for me too!
bye cyborg
night chic!
OK I have all the res on either side of re /40 & i'm still not getting it!
bye chic
which one melon?
stay cozy chic!
the 1st re7 it's between totally again & the re4/6 that follows, which looks like a misspelled colorr.
still looking for that, but you helped me find the re7/36 at least
typed/thought wrong - should be: the re7/40 between "totals again" and the misspelled color.
:)
hiding from me too, don't know what could fit there.
3 7s to go.
Think of Sen. McCarthy
2 7s to go.
oh, justa, you came along "justin" time - tx!
& i had just gotten the 1st ba7, coincidentally.
time for me to toddle off -- 138 in an hour -- can't complain!
wtg nan! night!
zowie, Fran - 7 did you see justafreep's clue!
not Fran - nan!
i'm so confused.
zowie nan, did you see the clue fran - did I get that right???
ah, heck. Everyone can see it :-)
lol melon! got the re7/40 from your clue. thanks also freep!
just 1 7 b4 i quit.
go melon!
why oh why can't i get the br9!?! i know the first 5 letters...
i still need 3 7s.
gadget, people that are crazy about baked goods, it's a plural
got it! which 3 do you eed, fran?
don't know melon, not using list yet.
need.
would you like the starting letters?
but don't worry about me, i'll monkey around for a while more.
clearly time for me to leave -- I'm typing in random combos of letters and they are no longer words....
that would be nice melon!
i know the feeling freep!
ahhhh - ty fran
yw gadget
there are 3 ba7s (36,40,44), 3 bo7 (40,48,44), 2 re(40 & 36), 3 so (32,40,36), su7/36, te7/36.

Boker tov Sprite
mornin' sprite.
Is it any fun, this grid?
i think so.
Boker or, ARB :)
yup, much better than yesterday sprite, lots of good endings.
I love endings
the 9s are fun words too
lots of fun cluing options.
great, sounds like a treat :)
my goal is reached, my toast is finished, time to brush teeth & hit the hay. laila tov, all.
sweet dreams, melon
night melon! no more laughing or looking over your shoulder tonight!
night melon!
Laila Tov Melon
nite melon, tost and marmite - breakfast for me soon
i'm biting a hole thru my lip as i read you Fran. thanks to all my wondeful babbly friends & goodnight {poof}
Can anyone clue on the ab 6/30 and ab 8/65 -- I'm lost
i'm hooke MVA, simply hooked - also eat it on oatmeal w/buttermilk.
arb, ab6/30, a + good books are usually b**** with leather
ab8 is the past tense of that
back again, hi sprite and anyone else who has joined us
tasty melon!
if you have bo5/18 you can get the ab's
Never saw that combination -- thanks -- that opens up a whole slew of words.
now, really, i must poof on out of here. poof,poof, {poof}
hey andree! hi jilli!
bye melon
cool arb!
hi Andree
got to go now, bbl, happy babbling!
later mva!
bye MVA
hello sprite -- bye mva!
hey jilli!
after yesterdays conversation about racists I cannot believe that enable allows ab4, takes a fair bit to shock me
enable has some very nasty words in it.
yep, enable allows a lot of racial slurs
and thanks for pointing that one out.
Remember, a word is a word is a word. It's how it is used that is distructive or mean or nasty.
good point arb
yay! greyed out another letter, the upper right T, appropriately the last word was a fish!
That is true, ARB. Still, dictionary also says it is "Disparaging and Offensive". Guess I will forget it right away then.
We used to have a fish in every grid. Are we back to old times? :)
i guess we have to have something handy to whack ourselves with.
Andree -- A2Z doesn't list ab4 or several other words enable (or morewords) do allow, such as ofay, the sh*ts, dago, twat, and maybe others I haven't come across yet but appear in the grid
but not the t4! I love T4.
especially in sushi or sashimi for me.
owwwswwwww..... Fran! I did not even have breakfast yet. And now I am drooling already.
jilli, sounds like censorship!
i've already eaten and i'm still drooling!
I know jilli but this is one of the more sensitive issues here
and we did have some t4 poke (hawaiian raw fish dish)with dinner.
whew! I'm up to 50, so I'll quit for the night. Sorry I haven't been chatty tonight, didn't even check the clues here, but I'm juggling between much craziness here. Night, all!
night egbok!
bye eg
well, I guess that's why BabbleRabble got all upset last night about sa5/16
night eg
Good luck juggling then, egbok, and good night.
night egbok
meds
doesn't work jilli, tried it already
dread
I missed something, I think. What was the problem with BabbleRabble?
dead
jilli
babble isn't into psychopharmacology.
Hello Anne38 Where have you been? everytime we try to talk to you you've gone to bed!!
oh gee -- sooory!
other box
oh jilli!
gloomy words, eh?
I came in at the end -- he was unhappy with a word found in the grid and levelled some uncomplimentary comments re other babblers.
I like BabbleRabble - is everything ok again or is there a falling out of some kind?
have you forgotten the rule already jilli? they have to be words i don't have.
I am really sorry to hear that :(
Can anyone clue ba 5/16 -- the first ba?
no problem now -- just another sensitive word in the grid today
I am sure everything is okay, he called all us aussies racists, we are pretty irreverant lot
hi jakesmum its larlie annie gone to get a chicken
hope he is not upset, he is a great cluer
I have never ever noticed anyone here making racial slurs, except the grid itself.
sorry arb, don't have it yet
how very dare she!! her grandson has been badgering me for days now to log on in time to talk to her! then she puts food infront of us!!! lol
brb, teethbrushing ti4/5
well, you can always check the archived chat
Sprite, you're right. You can't get upset because there's an offensive word in the grid.
gm all
we could collectively refuse to enter them :)
jakes mum be back in a mo
hi lain
Ok, hope that BabbleRabble will be back with us, not just playing, but also chatting. He is a smart guy.
past tense of the sound "Dolly" makes - ARB ba5/16
from different parts of the world we are offended by different things, you might be shocked by something which does not bother someone else and vice versa
WOuld't work -- no control. Babble would havve to be checked against a different word list than Enable, one that doesn't include the offensive words.
TY Dax
i was trying to not make the clue to easy
That is true, Andree. In Holland it is perfectly normal to wave at people with your palm facing them. In some countries that is extremely offensive. If you don't know that, you are in for big trouble.
good clue
thx.. anyone have the bo5/16 .. not the "extra" bo5/16
sorry jakesmumim back
Dax... the tantrums?
hi dax, it's an anagram of the "extra" one, guy on a ship
You have something to say to me? ARB?
and thanks for the ba5!
hi babble, how are you today
Good morning Babble
hey fran... let me try that clue.... yw
What I said had nothing to do with the grid.
I did, BabbleRabble. Said I hoped you'd be back.
hey babrab!
Hi babrab
Now all you brave souls that have to talk. .. say your piece!
yay! greyed out the F
Just did.
wtg Fran :)
I did not call all Aussies racists... and, again, it was not a word in the brid.
grdi
hey fran... still kinda lost on your clue
any others?
babble we love you
why not REDREAD??
bo + our "star"
Just glad to see you, BabbleRabble.
ARB, this is the second time I have watched you come after me. YOU have something to say?
good night everyone
night muse
If not, I am done.
night muse! didn't even know you were here.
g'night, muse!
that's cause I'm sleeping at the PC, so time to sign off, sigh
muse, I see you've gone backwards in time!
I found your comments to be aggressive. Just as your riding me now. Leave it go.
lol, yes have to think young jilli
lol muse
bye muse
And I think it is cowardly of you to talk now and not then. You can talk about me, but I am being aggressive by responding. Sure.
bye muse
And I think it is cowardly of you to talk now and not then. You can talk about me, but I am being aggressive by responding. Sure.
99 words to find in the grid, 99 words...
seem to have an echo
102 here
the usual 2.00 am hiccup of the site
91 to go here
so I'm going to the list and will type in the 78 I have, which will take me to bedtime...
I want the last 8, I have ab 8/65, bo 8/60 and br 8/60. Where is that last one?
I don't think ARB or anyone else did attack you, BabbleRabble. Since there is another racial slur in the grid today, conversation went back to yesterday's discussion and I wanted to know what happened. That's all.
so, kmwade
so8 kmwade
Got it! and so 7 as well, thanks.
cool
This game is addicting, this is my third nitgh since I found it. I need to go to bed.
lol, you sound like a regular-to-be, kmwade. Babble IS addicting, very true.
welcome km!
you're hooked Knwade --
And I got my 10 year old daugter hooked as well - she was helping me with yesterday's puzzle, Found a few words mom missed!
potentially defined as a gridnut?
wow, wtg daughter!
i have 36 left, going to QP, be back later!
hf, Fran
I am going to be - time to get up in 6 hours. DOing good for the third puzzle for me - just 87 words left, and I gretyed out the 8's & 9's (with help <G>)
bye fran
good night kmwade.
we all take help, lol. Good going - and see you soon, kmwade.
bye km
Bye Fran
ist ba 5/16, help please
I think that is the past tense "dolly" sound
what mama
ba 5/16 what" Dolly" said
mama?
I mean isn't that what the dolly said
lol... now I see what you mean. No, the animal Dolly.
don't be afraid to try something stupid :)
it was the clue given to me a while ago when I couldn't figure out the word.
thx sprite
yw :)
hey, the ample bosom word is back :)
only have 1 de, where are they
Four of them have two syllables, Andree.
thx sprite, I'm none too bright tonight
D + to send forth is one.
combo 5/18 - 6/30 is to put off (as in doing it tomorrow)
de4/10 is to challenge, to resist
hi everyone
I presume you have the not living one. The last one is anagram of the paints.
hi Angb
hi angb
thx sprite, the non living was the only one i have, so thx for clues
yw, hope you can find them
morning all
hi oggy
Good afternoon ... a miracle ... I can use the internet in the middle of the day for the first time in two and a half weeks!
hi oggy
hi merk
Merk, sounds like you have had some frustration!
hello merk. Why a miracle?
hi merk and oggy
Has anyone found the re7,40?
mkl: compound, colour + what you need to catch fish
Thanks Sprite. That one was killing me.
I always struggle with compounds :)
Any clues on the re 6/36?
re + to challenge, to resist openly
Thought I tried that - probably mistyped it. TY Sprite
fireworks
yeah mkl!
Yay mkl
Honestly, except for the word Sprite clued, most of them just sort of jumped out.
yes, it is a pretty easy grid for me too. Down to 3, all Ts.
If you need a hint or two let me know. Lord knows I owe you a few.
you don't owe me anything! We're a team, we babblers. Thanks for the offer, I will struggle on for a bit longer.
Ok. Guess I'm off then. Luck to all.
thanks and bye, mkl :)
bye mkl
back soon
bye Andree
Any clue on the re 5/16 which comes before the plural color?
remove wetness again, ARB
arb, remove wetness again
A challenge because an earthquake damaged a cable between Taiwan and China. Too many internet users during the day trying to use what little connections are left.
Fran, I can't believe we do it again!
lol sprite!
ty FranSprite
hello again everyone!
or ty SpriteFran
hi fran
is that still out merk? a blogger from Philippines wrote about that almost 3 weeks ago.
Sounds bad, Merk. Was there only material damage?
I am being dense here. Is there a clue for the ab 4,6 please?
hi angb!
yw arb
just call us Frite. :-)
They say that it is 80% fixed, but I don't believe it. Since it happened China has lost 20% of its export business because the internet is used for so much ordering.
it is a bad word, Merk, a racial slur. A + he who rules the joint minus last letter
LOL Fran!
What's wrong with Spran?
I like Frite. I like frites a lot.
ty, never heard of that one before.
But you don't friten me at all!
Am glad, ARB!
Spran works too, it's like what our mother would call us if she was trying to call me, but started with sprite accidentally. (if sprite and i were sisters of course)
those of you with siblings know what i mean.
Oh yes! I used to hate it when my mother mixed up my sister's and my name. And now I am doing it myself with my own kids.
You can't believe what I say when I try to call one of my 3 daughters -- I use every other female name in the family, my late mother, my sister, my favorite aunt etc!
me too sprite! :-)
fireworks!
yay sprite!!!
yay sprite - well done
i can believe it arb!
erst
YAY Sprite, the peacemaker
sorry
peacemaker?
any really weird ones today sprite?
YAY sprite!
your robot is so cute angb!
Latest young boy craze fran
Sprite, you always have a calm reply. I appreciate it.
I was saved from a long search by the past tense Dolly clue, Ba5/16 was weird to me. Also the 2nd V was tough and new. And there are a couple of compounds, they always confuse me. All the rest was known :)
ah, my son is crazy about Thomas the train engine and all the Cars characters right now.
thanks sprite!
*hug ARB* I love this community, only want to be part of it and do my part ;)
what are the stats for the V word please?
Thomas the tank engine fran ... We have over twenty trains, and metres of track. Also the boys had the Cars PS2 game out last weekend
Va5/18, it comes before the other one.
thanks sprite, will work on that one.
When older I am sure your son will be into B-Daman, Yu-gi-oh, Pokemon or whatever violent anime is around
oh yeah, tank engine! my son would probably correct me too!
gee thanks for that glimpse into the future angb! :-)
I've been corrected for some 7 years ... I am an expert
can anyone help with the last fe 5 18 please??
dee, rotting and stinky
stinking, Dee
lol Angb, I know that feeling! Just this morning my kids were talking nonsense. I asked "Am I missing something?" And my son replied: "Yes mom, you are missing the modern language."
lol sprite!
ty sprite got it!!!
great :)
My 6 year old was quizzing me today from some general knowledge cards - "Gee mum, do you know everything?" "Yes, son!" - "Well mum how many scales are there on a triceratops?"
looking at the definition for that va5/18, i'm sure it's not new to some of our horticulturally talented babblers, new for me though, thanks sprite!
any clues on the te 6/24 7/36 words?
LOL! Nice question!
arb, one who te4/5
Hmmm - little devil -
and plural
they rhyme with the re combo that makes things more crimson.
well, what did you tell him ang? :-)
I'd love to hear your answer
ty Frite
Sorry son, no one knows that answer. See mum you don't know anything. No son, that's right but I know more than you
yw arb! ;-)
Brilliant, Angb :D
*everything. Always keep the upper hand is my motto - at all costs
:) ARB
ang, that sounds like exchanges i have with my husband!
Yes, well they are all males. And none of them will admit we are right
one consolation: the harder they say you were wrong, the better they know you were right
so true, when will they just see the truth.
any help with the last un 6 24 please?
i'll wait for the answer with you dee, don't have it yet
remit
like books you got as a present that you would never have bought yourself, Dee. They stay un6/24
fingers crossed.... waiting with bated breath....
got it, not perused yet, as in a book
gotcha!!!
Frite strikes again :)
hi anne!
what a team!
Good Morning all
I need help on the 9 -- got the first part, I think, but can't figure out the 2nd part

Hi Jilli - and goodbye!
Good morning/evening all. Is the grid tamer today?
have fun, gang -- *poof*
good morning Haz
hello everyone......not for me it isn't Haz !!
Hi Haz - seems to have a good reputation
Hello hodag, Karys, lynxxx. I've started anyway, let's hope it's not too big a struggle to get to the finish.
Hi karys
I'm probably having a 'brain dead' day
I've put in a lot of words but, only four have been accepted!
You'll warm up as you go along, Karys.
well...if it's going to accept the silly words as the one I've just enetered , then perhaps ....
That's the spirt, Karys!
Enable obviously has loose grammar morals. Where I would say 'worse' enable says ba6/30....
yes....I liked that one too, just what you would correct the childen
Thnx Haz - at least enable didn't plural it!
Small mercies - we have to be grateful for them.
oh well, back later, it's shopping morning again, where do these weeks go !!!
seeya Karys
I know - but doesn't January last a long time? Enjoy the shopping as best you can, Karys.
Jan. seams like the most boring and longest month of the year!
morning all, nice grid today, I think........
good morning sugar,don't be fooled!
Good morning sugar - I'm finding it not too bad so far, but time may tell a different story.
got to be better than yesterdays, hodag! lol

Thanks Diann !
not by much sorry to say...lol
got that, thanks Diann!
Hello everyone...

Hello Angb
Yes, he's such a silver-tongued smoothie, I was preening myself.....

I've been called a lot of things in life, but "silver-tongued smoothie" is a new one...
Be sure to put it on your resume, it could open doors for you.
You're cracking me up tonite Haz!

Goodnight bookwomen.

Nite Bookwomen

It IS better, Odin.
night book
Yeah, Odin, you got that right!
Agree - its a lovely grid odin
couldn't wrap my brain around yesterday at all
same here odin
Glad too see it wasn't just me Nonnie
I think everyone was in the same mind about yesterday's. There were no cheery cries of 'What a lark this is'
In the time when new ***** Was the big ****
One of the most bothersome yet for me
I feel better then! :)
help ith me 5 s please
I just clued one of them Anne
Not that that necessarily helps....

don,t have it oggy
Pour me a glass of wine, honey...
is the un9 a compound word, because I'm just not seeing it!?!
TY BabbleR
Yes, Nonnie, it's a stupidhead compound word, imo
It's a compound word, combining the opposite of over and another name for a head or chief
Deputy would do the job just as well (for that word). It was good enough for Deputy Dawg.
good morning everyone. Boy, what a relief after yesterday! I think that people who finished yesterdays grid should receieve medals of valour, or committment papers.
can someone give me a clue for the re 7/40, please?
hi Eva and Merp
How did Deputy Dawg cross the pond to the UK?
By television? Or is there a punchline coming up?
No, no Haz, I fondly remember Deputy Dawg, and didn't know that anyone in the UK knew about him
don't have it ylleria
Oh, he was very much part of television when I was growing up. I loved him.
Today's children don't know what they're missing! Top Cat was another favourite - it was genius.
Top Cat was great Haz...pure genius!
Top Cat was so resourceful...
I always liked Hong Kong Phooey and Wacky Races. Hi all, I don't often get involved in the chat...
but the UK fox one is the best - 'cept I can't remember his name. sooo funny
hi joobooz
I can still watch Top Cat today and enjoy it just as much as when I was a child.
Bazil Brush
So a job I'm getting possibly I wonder who my ****'ll be I wonder if he'll take to me What *****es he'll make to me
Hi Joobooz
my favorites here was Gerald McBoingBoing
Basil de Brush ! Yay ! thanks Sugar
Basil's original operator/voice died, but someone else has taken over and you can't tell the difference.
boom boom!
how can there possiby be a re7?40! It's hiding under the rocks
It was a Basil line that always makes me remember Napolean - 'of corsican' (of course he can)
re 7 -- colorful incentive for a fish
thank you Babble!
Thanks BabbleRabble
I'll check out the UK Channel on the cable here - maybe they have Basil on
the term must have come out of the McCarthy era?
Yes, according to the dictionary definition.
I have a vague memory of it
tx BabRab
sir, have you no shame?
I remember the courageous speech, but not who said it?
Continuing on the fishy theme va5/18 mirrors the structure of a famous cinematic fish.
hey how do i play this thing ?
hey how do i play this thing ?
thanks haz!
I have the re7/36 that is more of a primary color but I don't see the 40??
so Babble-who said that?
If you press Help above, it will give you details of how to play, AnDROID.
Morning all!
Joseph Welch - Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?
morning flask
holy crap i thought this thing would be more intuitive
holy crap i thought this thing would be more intuitive
holy crap i thought this thing would be more intuitive
re7/40 - the colour, then what fishermen use on their hooks to attract the fish
Haz can u please clue me the second part of the UN9?
holy crap i thought this thing would be more intuitive
holy crap i thought this thing would be more intuitive
holy crap i thought this thing would be more intuitive
holy crap i thought this thing would be more intuitive
Joseph Welch of the Welhes grape juice family? Must not be because they were as right wing as it comes
Good morning, Flask. Think of another word for someone in charge. It rhymes with a member of the Cartwright Family in Bonanza (not little Joe, the big one)
ty ty ty haz!
thankyou....yer a gem!
I don't think it had anything to do with the Welch's grape juice family...
android-you can just start playing as if you were playing boggle-making as many words as you can, 4 letters or more
You're welcome.
Evening Anne and Jan
O safe and happy shelter! O refuge tried and sweet! O *****ing-place where heaven's love and heaven's justice meet!
And now I'm trying to remember the first line of the hymn....
O boogers...I'm going to get zinged for saying a word...
so is someone forming words out here or what ?
It's "Beneath the cross of Jesus," Haz
me5/14, not the newspaper one..a clue please, thanks
I fain would take my stand - thanks Douglas.
we are all forming words. As you enter them they'll appear in a lit to the right of the grid. Then we give each other subtle hints-not the actual words.
It's consideredd poor Babble etiquette to write words in the chatterbox, AnDROID
me5/14 - french for 'poop'.
Hopefully you are froming the wrods from the grid AnDROID and typing them in until you have them all.
Droid, i am....what;s your question?
It's really worth it to read the rules-they aren't complicated, but it will clarify everything (at least about Babble)
me plus a reworking of a scarlet colour
thanks Haz
hmmmm, scrolling is just rude, droid!
ty haz
Steve Nash's team...
my question is i cant see any word forming in this grid
can anyone else see any word ?
You don't have to take straight lines, AnDROID
Look at the bottom four letters in the left hand side of the grid. You should be able to see at least three, four letter words from there. Type them in the add word section, and you will see it entered on the My Word List.
The tiles don't "light up" if that is what you're asking. You type the word, then press enter.
no straight lines ?
dont tell me that i can jumble up the letters
The tiles just have to touch, though not all at once. Please read the help section, it explains the whole thing.
the letters in the word must 'touch' in the correct order only
veryent splng of the thing that receives eagles at their journey's end
well i have solved CROSSWORDS
this is similar to boggle, have you played boggle?
nopes
Meaningless protest over absence of "anded" from the dictionary
Ah, well, that would explain...
Agreed Douglas
OK, then as Haz suggested...click on the help icon located in the upper right-hand corner. I bet a lot of your questions will be answered.
anded? as in left 'anded?
I'll second that, Douglas!
Exactly lynxxx!
silly boys!
No, lynxxx, anded as in "logical AND" applied to two Boolean values (things that can only be True or False)
I mean like left 'anded...no bright mind here!
!!! douglas, I never know when you are pulling my leg! but I'll read up on that
'Anded you do your homework? Anded you wash your hands? Anded you clean your teeth?'
lmao
LOL
Anded is the mother's most useful word.
lol
wouldn't that be andidu rather than anded Haz ?
I'm actually being straightforward on this one...If you could look in a computer chip, you would find many AND gates, with two inputs and one output
It depends on pronounciation, lynxxx, linguists are divided on this one.
I'm just still left 'anded.
The inputs have two values, which, while represented by voltages, are considered ones and zeros, or trues and falses
LOL Haz
annie1953 sorry did not say hello
And, anyway, time I was doing other things! I'll be back later. Have a good day everyone.
bye haz
I believe you Douglas !!
The output of an AND gate is true if and only if both of the inputs are true, and false otherwise
Later Miss Haz...enjoyed your wit as always!
you're not supposed to fall asleep at the computer Anne
Douglas AND Bright Spark = TRUE!
Glad to be here - it was fun. See you tomorrow, Odin and everyone else.
Bye Haz
LOL Lickety - impeccable timing again
I drop in at the rights times Indeed!
we didnt realise it was you how are you
Yes, good to see you!
fine thanks stay where you are Jan as weather very bad here
See Douglas - you are recognised world wide for your incredible range of knowledge
Me? Wow - if you ask how my life is, you might get confused
Thanks - but I don't get the Bright Spark reference...
Licety - still with Nlsn?
Going back to bed to see if I can't get some more sleep before my day really has to begin. Take care all.
Bye Nonnie
we have had very hoy weather and the water problem has been very bad but we have had a little rain this week
Bright Spark is a term of endearment - as in - Clever. lynx - what are you asking?
morning all, hows the grid
Oh, thanks...
torrential rain, hail and thunder here for last few days
douglas - it was a good link - electronics and your cleverness ;-)
And also an AND gate ;-)
ab4 please
lucky you i hope you keep that sort of weather thank tou
It's a naughty Aussie word, Buttonman
lynxx - what is nlsn ?
mrp been chatting ? what reference?
why I like to share
derogatory Australian term for indiginous people
Lickety - still with the same company?
hello booblele
Hi Billy
ok, well that's old news - but yes - mrp got a little concerned about the wrong thing, but it's worked out. This week it's Fires right near the house.
hey lynxx ,,, whats happenning
i am sorry, i don't know to many aussie sland words
slang
no thank you excuse the typing i am a bit slow and i have only just started playing this game
indigenous australians are called aboriginals if that helps
buton it's what some people talk out of
I can give you lots of Aussie slang, You betcha!
but the ab one is a little much these days
button-ab________ forest? Meaning original forest. Take frist 3 letters and make plural
LS - ugh - hope you get some of the rain coming accross then.
it was your other half that told me about it and now I am hooked
yeah - did you flood?
bot it, thanks
No, just beautifully saturated
Annie - Welcome to Babble!
yes so am i but i am not as good as you
I just read a report about John Howard...it seems he's started a bit of a row...
don't put yourself down I probably spend more time at it than you
thank you lick
goodness...whats little Johnny done now!
The Melbourne Herald Sun says... Prime Minister John Howard inadvertantly sparked the storm when he taped a goodwill message for a fundamentalist Christian group accused of inciting anti-Islamic hatred. Islamic leaders condemned Mr. Howard for appearing in the DVD message for Catch the Fire ministries. The controversial movement has sponsored a major multi-denomination gathering in Melbourne on Australia Day. The PM's office has just released text of the Australia Day message.
How come some words are on Lickety's list but the the grid will not take them or says they are not in the dict.?
oh good one johnny (not)
Annie - you can't be worse than me - I don't play! Buttonman - sorry - check caps lock - or your typing - No mistakes this end!
And btw at the early age of 13 I had the displeasure of shaking Jonny's hand - and he was slimy back then.
I don't know whether this is good or not, but John Howard has been much more vocal in confronting radical Islam than any American leader...
douglas - it's because whole suburbs here are populated by Islamics
good morning everybody:)
America is starting to experience that, in cities in Michigan like Hamtramck and Dearborn
Hi Jean
how little us AUSsie's are though compared the the USA where anything has or could happen.
Is John Howard eligible for reelection?
We need a female Prime Minister! I should get mrp to run!
He won't go away! and the majority of Australians are pretty conservative and keep voting him in !
douglas - can't see it happening - no one else stands out.
Hillary Clinton just announced her candidacy today, but the nation is in the throes of Obamamania
Agree Lickety - whether MRP or another. At least we would probably get rid of the macho bu*****
Even though they know less than nothing about him...he's black, he's handsome, and he hasn't run for President...what's not to like?
ba 7/44 and the 6/27 behind it please
except if it was Pauleen of course - ''plz explain"
The 2008 American Presidential election is the first election since 1952 where neither major party candidate is a sitting President or Vice-President

Plot Summary For "Pan's Labyrinth": "Pan's Labyrinth" is the story of a young girl who travels with her pregnant mother to live with her mother's new husband in a rural area up North in Spain, 1944, after Franco's victory. The girl lives in an imaginary world of her own creation and faces the real world with much chagrin. Post-war Fascist repression is at its height in rural Spain and the girl must come to terms with that through a fable of her own.

Hi, all. Just weighing in on the shoplifting thing. Work for a Police Dept. Most often shoplifted items here are seafood and meat. Surf and turf your way to jail.
Mmmmm . . .surf and turf . . .

what sort of qualifications have you got to have for that, judi?
You could claim it was a guide animal ..
Hi, TO! All this talk of food has made me hungry, so, I'm off to lunch. Hursh - lots of admin. experience. It's like an executive secretary gig.
hmmm, see, the trouble with me is, i have not much experience with anything. i'm just good at stuff.
and how can i get experience if everyone hiring wants people who already have experience???
we used to race them when i worked for a seafood chain
I should qualify that by saying, it's an executive secretary gig WITHOUT the executive salary.
