Couldn't agree more Cybernan
i think racoons are cute but thats because we dont have to deal with them
Yiddish - Hebrew alert -- ch 6/27 . Means room or Hebrew classroom
a shayne danke ARB!
They are charaters and can look quite cute
we had a raccoon rip and shred about a foot length off the deck railing where we had stupidly placed the flipper from the BBQ last summer
unfortunately raccoons (US spelling) are very clever and have nimble hands
is the up 7 a plural of the six please
no, lady
no
I could use a clue for the up6!!!

wang change last two letters on en5/10+ch4/6
opposite of the ex4 but switch the last two letters + little talk
wangs, it's a ballet term, french spelling for come into a room + "talk"
hi, ursh, i've only ever seen pictures of them.
hyraxes that is.
THANX FRAN!!! High school french pays off!
like racoons - resident wild life in SA - they have learnt to live with people but are shy and also nocturnal so dont make a nuisance of themselves
yw wangs
same cant be said of resident vervet monkeys unfortunately they can be a nuisance and regularly rob my fruit bowl and bread bin even open fridge and swipe whatever takes their fancy
melon, were your 3 men's names de5, ha5 and te5?
racoons are not so cute when it's cold out and they try to live under your deck and get into the garage at every opportunity, not to mention scaring 8 lives out of the cat!
how about the first fe 6/30?
strangely enough cy our cat totally ignores the monkeys and they ignore him - found a monkey sitting next to him under d/room table eating bananas and just ignoring each other
i have part of a car, but i still need 4 Fs.
sorry, that was for the fe6/30
one who wields an epee
ursh, i obviously am having a hard time with this. You actually have monkeys coming into your house?
i found 2 de8's to do with middle (two spellings)
they are all easy Fran
got to dash bbl happy babbling everyone:)
Or one who provides eats
racoons are really not cute when they get into your lovely pond and eat 30 beautiful huge koi!!
bye jean
still need 3 7's and 3 8's
ah hpy, that is sad.
wow, that's a big pond hpy!
thanks muse.
sorry - i meant the first 6/30? not the car part or swashbuckler
hpy most people here have to net their ponds or birds (large ones) happily fish in them
it is but they were huge racoons and they scooped em out, laid on their backs and threw the fish up in the air and then ate them like corn on the cob ...so sad, I raised the koi from babies!
thx - got it - feel stupid now
someone want to give a clue for the hebrew room?
people here are getting what they call "scarecrows" and they are automatic sensor sprinklers, they say they work ???
wow hpy, that's too bad.
ch happiness with a bad grade in the middle.

wangs, looks like past tense of a guy who's into computers, it actually means irritated.
opps i didn't think it had on
thanks once again fran
well, it's the name of a place infernal so capitalized
ty fran
not reall, altho the ve as in "Peanut Ve****" - is spelled differently than i'm used to. Then there is the ve that is carnal love i think.

past tense
oh, sorry, that was tu6/24
nevermind.
morning all!
hi sprite
Hi all -- I have been lurking waiting for Seb to wake up for his bottle, so of course, the uncooperative little bugger is sleeping late tonight!
gm MVA
lol wolfie!
hey GreyWoulf *big hug*
joys of parenthood???
{{*sprite*}}
hi there babblers...what does it mean when you say ve6/33? I am brand ew to the game...
Hi Sprite & GreyWoulf
wangs, tu6/21 is a soup bowl
missviolet, first two letters of the word, length/total points
indeed lain -- but I can't complain too much, at least he is no longer seriously afflicted with the cold the family shared two weeks ago
TY Fran nice one
welcome missviolet have fun
hi grey wolf
violet, click on link for angelsong's babble page in the links, that should help you out.
it means there is a word starting Ve, 6 letters long and worth 33 points. For lots of info, see at the bottom of the page: Angelsongs Resource page
and welcome to the game
yw lynxxx!
BBL
aha! thanksalot.
later lynxxx
oh yeah, welcome missviolet! (forgot my manners for a second) :-)
grey wolf we are about to take on a puppy is that as bad as babies??
aha! thanksalot.
later lynxxx!
babies are even more demanding
hi everyone
re7/36 and i will have all the 7s & 8s - clue, please?
soooooo close..
thank you thank you so much fun already...
just the soup bowl....and the VEs
hi kier
gm kier
melon, extend the re5/10 with first two letters of a black bread
hey
Depends on your perspective I suppose, lain -- babies eventually outgrow their dependence on you, also babies don't have to be taken outside for walks all the time :-)
tu clue again?
should we warn violet now folks? or let her play for another day or two and find out on her own?
thanks fran - that is so close to the te8 - how'd i miss it? anyway mediocrity prevails - all the biggies & past halfway. ciao everyone.
um lain puppys are hard work to get them right but its rewarding to have a well trained and loved pet
night melon!
I have the feeling violet is already hooked :) Too late for warning... Ah Woulf, but babies come in a much more dependent state than puppies!
tu6/21 is a soup bowl wangs.
whew - finally clicked
tu4/5 means rotate and tu6/24 is its past tense.
I am looking forward to the walking Being reasonbly close to the beach and good woodland I should be able to get exercise myself.
Not that I have anything against dogs. it is just that I personally don't have the time to devote to having one as a pet -- maybe once I manage to somehow own a house of my own I will get one (if only to annoy the cats)
the soup bowl clue does not work for me :( Could be a word I don't know yet :D
yup, too late. we're hooked
OR 6/24?
sprite, tu + g**** (color of leaves)
.
wangs, or6/24 means stubborn
ah thanks! I thought that needed a double consonant in the middle.
used to describe mules or grumpy old men
Grey cats have slaves dogs have masters
ty fran
Then welcome and well met indeed, missviolet!
yw mva and sprite
still stuck on the ve 6/33 - carnal something or another?
de 7/36 - ever get that one?
Fran - you're the best! Thanks
Ta Franmag got the OR/6 Did not know it was a word Hey ho
when you are truly addicted missviolet , don't say we didn't warn you, there is no cure
de7/36 is false teeth
lady, I prefer to think of it as more of a peaceful coexistence in my case -- after all, they earn their keep by catching the mice that come in from the park next door
yw lain!
well, we DID not warn her in time... then again, 'in time' would mean 'before one starts' and that is almost impossible, right?
as long as you dont get 'presents' its all good
herinfernally I am told that if you tell a dog to 'fetch' it will do as it is told. Ask a cat and it will think about and come back to you later
if she had said hi sooner we might have been able to prevent another addict, alas it is much too late.
I had a cat that fetched :)

got any ideas for naming a boat ?( andrews new baby)
hello again... technical difficulties
She is from a litter of 7 we do not know what the cross is but the other six are a mixture of long and short haired
brb
hi kier
what kind of boat?
hi andree
fi-glass firestar
On the R Thames there used to be a hire company that called their boats ' Maid of #####' I named one I had Made of Plastique As you can guess it was a fibre glass hull
I have always felt that a mixed breed is the way to go for a personal dog -- the few purebreeds that I have encountered have always been a bit off, either physically or emotionally (sometimes both)
sorry -fi-glass lightening
we have all but one v...that will be our first blackout.
what color is it lazaro?
i dont even know what to ask...
back
half cooked pumpkin is gross
white with black trims
How about 'Trumptons glory' It could rais equestions down under if they do not know about Trumpton Fire brigade
ebony & ivory =)

Oreo laz are the choc biccies with cream inthem

Kierlex, My other half goes into reboot for a day then hes not whinie its goo
oreo sticks are here in nz. good enough reason to come to the country?
of course when we're sick kier, we have to be close to dying for them to help out, right?
that's a good enough reason for me laz!

Hey, hey -- just be aware not all us men are the same
rolf!!!
of course it was much worse kier, it was MANflu, lol
oops, wolfie, you are most definitely the exception!
I admit to being a bit whiny and needy for the first day of a major illness, but otherwise I do my best not to let it slow me down
i love it, manflu!

he is being very brave. he told the doctor he wants to see his tonsils when he is done AND he told the doctor that he LIKES NEEDLES. I think he was putting on a brave front =)

All was going fine until I ended up in hospital for 9 days with anemia and god knows what else. Slow reovery but working from home I can keep the business going.
never fear, missv -- it will come with time :-)
Oh my, FMitch! Do they know why?
Too much work and not enough looking aftermyself was certainly a factor. But all will be well.

I am halfway now and really not believing there can be another word for each word I found. Is it tough or am I being blind?
hey what is the word score
155
mmm im at 102 already
its tough i reckon...
still must find 3 more Vs, to mention just one problem ;)
I a sure you'll get on a roll soon Sprite! I have 16 left but no list as yet, only chat clues
wow lynxxx! It always amazes me how tough it can be to grey out a tile, like that V. It is in a corner, for crying out loud, which limits the possibilities hugely - and still no luck.
i am working hard here
those 2 y's are totally dodgey
I can make venray, which is a town in holland.
sorry..i meant the 2 u's
The V was tuff for me too. there is 5 ve that start with the same 4 letters ve4.7
thanks for that, I don't have a series of 5, so this will help me look :)
i am about to do a head flop onto the keyboard
The 5 included the ve4.7 - but the 7&8 are not the same as the 2 6s in meaning
yeah! Those were the missing ones, thanks lynxxx :)
yw
can't see the 7 & 8 at all. Any hints?

Is it me or my icon that chased everyone away?
Enjoy the grid to yourself for a while, maybe you might get some words before everyone comes back to chat
That's ok, I will read email now
not feeling good inge sick...
I'm here, inge, just doing the grid.
me, too...what is today's theme btw?
theme is hotels
hi, inge
ax 5/20 help?
ax and a man's neck decoration rearranged
explain the theme to me...does the theme have something to do with the words...i don't see the connection
ax 5/20 baux***
ax 5 looks like a chemical to me, sounds like ex****, change e to a,
no, it's just a fun icon thing :-)
There is no connection with the words - people just suggest ideas, they're collated, and displayed in Angelsong's babble page and Babbler's profile.
so I should change my doggie to a hotel....that accepts dogs, of course :)
exactlly! :-)
The theme is related to words only on Friday, when we try to use clues in our icons. All other themes are suggested by BAbblers amd recorded in Babblers handbag
It's entirely voluntary, Jeff, some of us change more frequently than others.
ty bbl
OK
Thanks GUys
how cute, Jeff, I wondered how you could pull up an actual hotel that allows pets
Hi Everyone....Jeff, I see you are speech language pathologist and 47...I am a speech language pathologist and 48. Do you work in schools?
hi, hee, une, and haz
both a K-3 school and a private practice on Long Island
hey, pam :-)
I have put Babbler's name onto my MY Friends list, so I can refer to it, even when she is not online

yep, mine that looks just like yours is about 2 (was rescued so not sure)
Is that movie verrry old? I did see one with that Hotel many years ago. About 20 years ago we went to Mackinac Island and wandered in and around it

hi Kazzer
or6/24 difficult, cranky
Hi grammaterri - how you keeping
Kazzer - or6/24 - American word for stubborn
I only have the westerns for that o
which of the 4 Os do you need
good Kazz and you?
up-6 and 7 please ????
all of them apart from the one Haz clued - ty
up + ra4/4
up + tr5/12
sha look at 0920am
oa5/10 both relate to porridge making ingredient
Not too bad - just started a new morning routine and its a nightmare. I have to get up at 0510 and then have a 2 hour wait outside for my lift in the mornings
or5/10 - to speak publicly
ouch Kazz
that sounds horrid, kazz
thanx fireworks for me
ty all - i have all 4 now - just needed your collective help on making the brain cells fire
woohoo, sha!!
yay, sha!!
oa 5/10 cereals maybe porridge
congrats sha
bravo sha!
Thought I was the only idiot getting up at that time Kaz - 4'45 for me
yay sha!
thanx all bye
the getting up is not to bad - the worse thing is the hanging around - especially when it started on the colded morning of this winter so far
wtg sha
anyone speak with an axent on here? ha!
lol Jee
why is it that you are waiting around, then? I guess I am missing a beat, kazz
My daughter calls it setting the alarm for daft'o'clock!!
Nobody thinks they speak with an accent. It's always the other person.
I would die I think Kazzer ( : it's cold to me here in the 70's
he, he, Jee, are you offering your services?
lol Jfb that's cute
well...for the right price inge
I doo type with a new yawk axent tho
jfb - it used to be much worse - used to do 12 hours shifts but with no working pattern, my real probelm is thi little addiction called Babble - i cant go to bed until I have all the words but that means some nights I'm up far tooo late
funny Jeff ( :
I know how that is Kazzer, I HAVE to finish
kazzer, it is a true addiction on babble for all of us. We probably are going to need therapy.
gramma - she forgets that its not that long ago she was coming home at that time!!! She's 29 now andtries to convince me she's more sensible
I am wondering how i am going to cope on holiday and that;s not til september!!
lol
People often say My husband has an accent (he grew up in PA) and enunciates real well as a language teacher. They say I speak accentless, even though I lived in Germany most of my childhood. I would have made a perfect spy.
lololol, inge
well I must pop off for church, bbl, blessings ya'll
bye, gramma
-
0.
i have ti wait around because public transport in rural england is c**p and i cant get to the pick up spot in time and I dont drive
bye gramma
Kaz I do 2 early shifts - 6.00-2.30 then 2 lates -2.30 - 11.00 then 2 days off. Very little routin as each weeek varies
oh, I see, kazzer. That is too bad--it seems you should be able to stya in bed, or at home for those 2 hours!
ce 7/6? plz
i meant 7/36
ce7/36 - put something right in the middle (past tense)
it would be nice but I'll get used to it - needs must. We went and looked at the beached container ship today
ce7/36 with a British axent
that must have been something, Kazz!
second de6/24 anybody?
you cant get very close - they have a crane barge in place now to move the containers but the beac will take years to put to rights
de 6/24 another word for average
de6/24 first three letters as with the good de6/24 but give it a seabird ending
I have to stop eating at my computer. Those crumbs are hard to get out of the keyboard!!!
lol, inge
DON'T vacuum them out, though. People have been known to lose keys that way.
Sounds like the beach is a mess, kazz
inge - just flip your keyboard upside down and shake
Anyway, time for me to go. Have a good day all.
tx haz, ishablin
Kazz, did the people really get much stuff our of the containers? How many got broken open?
raelite, I have been shaking it, with mediocre success. This time I used the handvac and a brush and got ten times more
hm...I'll have to try that too then!
there's all sorts of stuff washed - alot of the containers are half buried in the shingle - they reckon about 30 wahsed ashore and the have all had a massive pounding from the sea but thepolice have now said that if any more wahs ahsore and people open then they will be done for robbery, Bye Haz
very interesting! I am going to take abreak to get dressed. BBL
bye inge

Yes - it was elegant but suprisingly inexpensive. The room was tiny - barely enough room for a full sized bed.
elegant & inexpensive sounds like it made up for the smallish room?
Great location, and so much history. And cheaper than the rooms at the Holiday Inn, Ramada, and so on.
we have a beautiful b&b right here in our little town that has so much class and character, if I'd been thinking, I would have used a photo of it!

I never had any little girls...so these two granddaughters are soooooooo different from raising boys. the older one is just discovering that all boys do not have cooties equally!!
Did I hiccup or something?? how did that double post happen
the 's' in smdnjv must be for stutter
i raised 2 boys, and the youngest 2 grandkids r girls... now i understand why my sister said she'd rather have boys after having boy-girl-boy.
very funny nut

if you have the ship one, reverse the vowels for another
do you have a thing you can do with a blender and past tense?
this is sad but does anyone have the first re 5/10?
haha i can't find it at all!
tragically I had both of those hurshy
re + spanish aunt
thanks hurshy!
eva i've clued about six there so check carefully :)
but I didn't have the blender ones...brilliant!
there are 2 py's, a 4 and a 6
Thnx all - for those p's - another grey box
thanks, hursh, i don't have any py's yet
yay! got the two blenders and the reverse ship one
py6, oh please can I have a clue for py6?
there is a pr5/12 that is a synonym of a longer pr word that is not in the grid, both mean to talk on a lot
have that, but not the py6
py 6 = py 6 + polysty****
the py 6 starts with the py4, then adds... half a hawaiian goose...
oh, that's better than mine ang, much.
Angb is my savior - thx
there is also pr6, the person who talks on a lot.
still have 22 to go, but it's nice to grey the tile!
The clue was borrowed from someone earlier - not mine (wish it was)
got all the p's yet, eva?
I'm back again, hello again hurshy and hi to all that came in whilst I was out
hello gramma, how was the party
too much fun
gramma is wore out lol
well that's good i guess
just missing one now. I have:pr4/5,pr4,pr5/12,pr6/21,pr4/7,pr4 /5,pr5/14,pr5/12,pr3/4,pu5/14,pu6/27,p u4/6,py4/7,py6/27. What am I missing?
um, eva, i think you may be missing ivory soap, 99.44% ****
Yes! It;s always the easy ones. Thanks hursh!
i always feel bad giving clues for fishy words, it's like being the bearer of bad news. it's gotta be done, but you can't help but feel that you're going to make people feel disappointed.
lol, for sure hurshy, and I hate asking for them cuz I feel, duh I should have got that one!
Yes, but hurshy don't we all miss the easy ones at times (me often may I add)
oops my bad for the word
Actually, it usually tickles me, and makes me visualize slapping my forhead with a fish-something I never would have visualized before Babble. I actually feel worse when I don't know the word at all.
yes, we do. and we all get bad news at times. nobody said life was fair. it's just fairer than death.
LOL hurshy - well said
Do you know that from exxperience Hurshy?
lol eva, I used to chat in IRC and we had a trout we slapped people with
you mean, spock-like experience? no, my katra has never left my head.
so I am used to fish
and, it's a quote from the princess bride (the book, but not the movie).
a friend of mine says, life isn't fair, but then again we are NOT at the fair!
can't recall (if i ever knew) what a katra is
OK - one more c to find.
katra is vulcan for like soul/spirit. the essence of a person.
Was just being annoyed by one of the many cluster flies who pop up, out of no where, in the middle of the winter, bump into furniture, buzz endlessly and very noisely inside the lamp shade by the bed. Merp came trotting into the room like he knew he had a job to do, pounced once, swallowed et voila-il ni'ya pas encore un e mouche (or un mouche-can't remember if flies are masculine or feminine and please forgive the awful french grammar and spellilng)
in ST2, spock, knowing he is about to sacrifice himself to save the enterprise, puts his katra in mccoy's head. in ST 3, spock's body having been regenerated by the effects of the genesis device, his katra is transferred back to him in a ritual known as fal-tor-pan. this then leads to funny quotes. ST4, for instance. mccoy wants to know what death is like, and spock says it would be impossible to discuss without a common frame of reference, and mccoy says, "you mean i've got to DIE to discuss your insights on death??" ST 6, spock: "i've been dead before."
my ST days were way, way back, in the late 60's, and I think I saw one of the follow up movies, but that's it.
oh, well, you don't know what you're missing. :)
well, i guess after that spiel, you know a little.
I have 6 ce's and 13 ch's can anyone tell me what I am missing please
30 left, but I have to go finish making dinner. See you later. That's true, that I don't know what I'm missing. I used to enjoy it a lot.
I'm a trekkie, prefer TNG most, I am in love with Worf
there are 7 ce's
bye eva, blessings
i'm a picard gal, myself
Thnx hurshy
my fave picard is when he is on that planet and is married, too cool
although when TNG was first on, wesley was around my age, so, i kinda liked him too.
i love picard in "the drumhead"
but that one you like is awesome too.
ah yes, wesley is a doll
In the ce's I have a 4, 5, 4, 6, 6, 7 - Help?
i love when he gets turned into a kid, and i love "tapestry", where he almost dies and he changes his past
I would love to own all the star trek series
Sorry didn't mean to disturb a trekkie discussion
and i love the one where there's a big disaster and he's stuck with those 3 kids
I am more a seinfeld nut and do own them ( :
oh yes that was great
shows or books? i have a fair amount of the books.
there is another ce7
lol angb didn't mean to overun the chat ( :
the shows are so expensive, cause they know trek fans are crazy enough to shell out.
I know, right?
i own all the friends episodes though.
No, no, not complaining. I don't like to interrupt the flow
the ce7's are a past tense, and 100 years
Oh no - pass the ch 4/6 and ch 5/14.
I just a few years ago started watching friends reruns, quite funny
Thnx hurshy
I can't find last he4, sure it is a fish ( :
i kinda got sick of seinfeld cause one summer i worked for my prof who uses clips a lot in class and i had to watch a ton all at once and catalogue what episodes were on what tapes and what happened in them.
last he4 rhymes with the rear of a boat.
well that would not be fun
duh, thought I tried that, ty
i'm totally in love with house, as many of you already know.
I really like real life shows, like forensic files, Dr G medical E and the like
Now that is a programme I like - House.
my kids love that show, nurse and health care fields
one just got hired by sheriffs office as csi
and psych, new this season, is THE FUNNIEST SHOW EVER. i seriously was laughing out loud for minutes at a time friday night, having trouble even getting my breath.
have you ever seen the movie House? that made me die of laughter
OK - going to have to have a break. Do some housework. YUCK. 24 to go and is getting real difficult.
Scrubs is another my kids like
nope, haven't heard of the movie.
aw, sorry angb
bye angb, blessings
it's hilarious
I live with 3 males, have tried to train them but I believe they are genetically programmed to be untidy
as you can tell by my icons, I like sick humor and sick horror ( :
lol angb, I raised 6 men, trust me, you are right ( :
6 - gramma how did you do that and stay sane?
You are sane ... right?
knew one day the reward would be grandchildren ( :
well, i should eat dinner, because, as the sportscenter guys know so well, 6 o'clock is dinnertime.
well define sane ( :
will someone give me a hint on the ce 7, 36?

lol hetty! I do try to catch you when you're here!
Not that I'd ever ignore a friend anyway Or anyone else for that matter.
Gramma I have a rule here. I do not go to movies, with my sons or anyone. That is their father's jobs. Anyway they don't have interval anymore. Can't sit still for that long
hetty - what do clver spiders do?
Nobody can call you ignorant, Hetty *grin*
For what the clever spider does just add a hook and a sometime vowel to re5/10 The word means weblike.
brb
Wow - hetty is as clever as the spiders . thnx
lol angb, again its a grand thing with me, you don't have to sit stll that long ( :

Good evening folks.
The ce7's--help please.
Greetings !!
hi scrabs
Hi TO
hi smdnjv
scrabbler 100 years
Hi everyone
ce7 - The history of the 20th ce7 might be seen to be ce7/36 on two world wars.
Hi SMDNJV
one is a hundred years and the other is past tense of british ce 6/21
Scrabbler, ce 7/44 100 years
TO -- in French, literally, "between cat"!
TY for the ce7's--I found them
Hi TO!! Does Feather babble and bathe at the same time??
guys- no offence but i am cranly as hell and my last nerve is twitching. se yoou tomorrow!
Hi Scrabbler
Bye, TO.
anyone have en9/66
Bye bye Temple Owl
Sorry Ollag, I don't
bye TO
what the hell does "bewteen cats" mean anyway?
back. nope, it was daniel's bathtime. i usually come in to catch a few words while he plays.
en 9 french for between talk
EN 9 - French for come in + talk
en9 - reverse the order the last two letters of the going in word (en5/10), add a talk or a french cat.
Thank you Haz. SMDNJV and Bookwomen
just the literal translation of the two parts of the word, TO! No offense!
thanks
thanks
any simpler hint for someone who is Frenchly-challenged?
Hi Feather!! Just bathed and put granddaughter to bed myself.
the word for "to come in" with the end letters switched plus the word for this box here
sorry ty SMDNJV that was a doozie
It's no good, I can't keep my eyes open. My face hit the keyboard just now. I resign at 87 words
how about for the en 9 -- a main dish - the last e + another word for talk

false teeth
de7 = false teeth
sheesh. thanks.
smd, your icon looks like a garbage bag
this en word is conjuring up some stange french! The last 4 letters of the word are "talk" in English, "cat" in French. The first part is "between" in French, not "to come in". Just so you know :D
decern

nice daisies! :)
I teach all levels now....it is a fairly new program smooth
hi cathyar
hi jilli!!! :)
teaching would require a level of patience that I don't think I have
same here lb
stid -- I hope you read my bio
thanks cathy, I needed something bright and happy this week.
some cold here...but not too bad for late january!
hi everyone!
may I have some help with en5/12?
was here earlier, left, came back
hi feather!
viola... one who finishes something
I am generally not a patient person smooth, but I have found that when it comes to kids, I have tons of it
been feelin ok stid? last time i saw u out here u were a bit unwell.
the one who puts a finish to something?
one who is the last? or finishes, or...for the en5.12
Thanks guys! I am feeling slightly tired
I am improved cathy, thanks. the last virus was a short-lived one (thankfully). Hoping I stay clear for a while now.
lol thats a good quality to have, viola... I think I've mellowed out as I get older, but I used to not have much patience with kids.
how about you? we have been trading back and forth, it seems! how's the kid enjoying his (trying to remember back) PS3?
lots goin round....my son and i both had flu shots, but of course they don't help with the newer bugs.
if anyone is interested in the field of autism, i have a fascinating blog for you to read. http://ballastexistenz.autistic s.org/ I'm reading through the internal links right now. it's a blog written by an autistic woman.
I once said that I never wanted to have anything to do with kids, now I love them! I love teaching middle school the best.
I have very little patience with the parents of unruly kids
getting sick and tired of the te's
i think it depends on your passion for the subject to determine the patience level for teaching
thanks feather, brb!
Me too Jilli!!
ditto Jilli!
lol...ps2....he loves it!!! plays mlb06 daily! doesn't like that his time is rationed on it...till we get onto other fun things. haha
ha, stid, i've been reading this for the past hour, and only meant to spend a few minutes....
lol viola, having worked for a long time in custoemer service, I think i can deal with kids pretty good now... lol in Customer care you have to treat a LOT of people like children. ;)
true...lbd, I know a bunch of musicians who are amazing players, but have zero patience to even listen to kids
that would be true, smooth! Nice, nice icon...
fun things like chores!!!
still have 5 to go -- too much chat, but which is more important?
lol smooth...true that...sometimes it isn't the kids who are the problems, but the parents
any clues to either ea5/10?
i loved teaching middle/junior high. those kids always made me laugh. they are all hormones and they still want to please adults.
heh... I can completely imagine!
i have no ea's missviolet...sorry
both ea 5's have to do with food

pls do!!!
oh do Stid!
which musical Stid??
okay, back in a few
I remember having some great bonds with high school teachers that I cosidered my firend. still keep in touch with them now and then, even after so much time
yep, i know stid. it's linked in my blog now.
freshman college students aren't much different from high school kids. boy do they learn fast after the first semester! lol
me too, somehow I always got along with the "mean" teachers...I always thought they were hilarious
that's neat smooth pappa!
firewords
it's good to hear that people still connect with high school teachers. or any teachers!
congrats jilli
whoo hooo Jilli!
I must say I enjoyed this grid more than most -- lots of Englsih words and not too much Klingon
YAY FOR U JILLI!!!
YAY Jill!
there was one teacher I rember really well... most everyone hated her. SHe was a Spanish teacher who taught levels 2-5. she hated the level two, since most people in that class only were there to get that language credit. In 3, she tried to weed out those who had a passing interest in the language, from those who were serious. I couldn't stand her until I got into level 4, when she realized I was also passsionate for the languae, and that changed the whole dynamic! we went on to have a great relatonship, despite the fact that I started a petition to have her fired my sophmore year. lol
teachers can be forgiving, smooth. especially when they see a kid with an interest in their subject area
has everyone already fiished?
clues available, although not to the great standard set by chj
has everyone already finished?
no, missviolet
no violet!! I still have 34 left!! Boo Hoo!

on6.24 is one who is full of mischief, a prankster, full of p*ss and vinegar
hetty - the other up adds ra4/4
yeah nat... jhst for a couple of hours
hetty -- on a graph, the line tr5s up or down...
te8 has to do with the third rank, order or state
by the way, did you get my work email from yesterday?
nope, haven't checked it yet.
it's kind of a wonky situation that I'm not sure if we have a policy on it or not
I need more than that on the te8, lbd...

wow... thanks lbd!! that's fireworks for me!
sorry stid, was off reading it again
back in a flash with a list...
well done niamh
Stid, the te8 is the fourth in Latin --a mode-- lop the seond ho9ok and the sometime vowel off the preceding word and then add the first letters of a small crown
te8, starts out like another name for earth, first 3 letters, + do re me fa so la ** + light and *i** are the clouds
whoo hoo Niamh
that's okay feather -- my mother found a really cool pop-up dr. seuss book, has parts of the more memorable lines from several books. have you seen it?
thanks hetty!
no! what is it?
YAY Niamh
then pop the sometime vowel back
stid -- te8 -- start top right, keep right, veer left near the bottom, end with the sometime vowel
I found it at http://www.amazon.com/Dr-Seuss-Pops-Up /dp/0375833528 it's really cool...
k

Hi smooth_pappa! How are you? Welcome to the grid!
hi min
hey minver - i am outraged at the pure stupidity of this miss america -
the other en5 is the one who completes something, or the last part of something. Rhymes with the round part of a car over the tyres
thanks for the cheese clue
i was at a net cafe and i couldnt read my blog but i typed in boobs in images and got boobs, i couldn't understand
Helen is this the one that went into rehab or got busted and had Trump defende her?

My husband gets outraged at my pure stupidity a lot!

I do believe I am going to have to start using some of these words in my everyday vocabulary. LOL
single bump = 14th letter of alphabet (as per its shape)
Its playboy, hell if i was aked id do it
py6?
camels have one bump or two like the m and n
oh dear i am dumb today
and i have fireworks
as long as miss america and such pageants require contestants to be beautiful *and* virgins they are going to have problems!
just way too much negatie stigma attached to nudity... ok, maybe the racy piccs are out of line, but i don't get when people are offended by a beutiful body
well done herin!
infernal, weeeeeeeeeeeeee!!
harpjane py6=a stone in certain fruits
Smooth playboy is pretty tame compared to some magazines
im going to hunt things on playstation now ill be back later
py6 = py4 + we are the knights who say **
one of the issues here, if I may vent for a moment, is that women who are trying to make it in the "beauty queen" world often feel forced to pose for naughty things, on their way to the top. Then when they make it, the negatives come out of the archives to haunt them..... remember Vanessa Williams?
i'm all for a beautiful body - but i think that's going a little too far if you aspire to be miss america - heavy on the dripping sarcasm there
NIce one Dr. Gwen
harp, of course, i remember vanessa williams. what i can't fathom is the BFD about it. seriously.
yes - that's the point i'm trying to make - everyone is supposed to remember venessa williams! it's NOT ok
thanks
yeah, it is... an those photographers are some of the best in the biz... they are the national geographic photographers of the modeling world... Maybe that's my bias... there is so much work on all ends that go into those pictures, and a beautiuful result... I just on't understand the offense
lol hk
does a new puzzle come up with the time runs out on this one?
if they had contests for "beautiful" men it might seem more reasonable but all they have are contests for hideously deformed muscle men, yecch!
jeade, yup! one puzzle per day
yeah, midnight CST
the bfd is that it sends a horrible message to young girls -
yes it does jade
sweet!
we can all quit any time, right?
Oh yeah, sure...no worries on that one....*ahem*
hi everyone
agree, it sends horrible message to young girls, but so does most of our popular culture. it is in fact toxic. if i had to raise young girls i would probably want to shield them from that kind of crap
I can get a head start on the next one then. My sister just recently got me into this....and I already love it.
wha is BFD?
Hi Saphyre
papa, big effing deal
ahhh
um well i was more upset with the drug thing than naked shots
there is a big thick line (not a fine one) between nudity for the sake of art & nudity for the sake of porn & i think most americans don't recognize that enormous line - most see everything as erotic-
hell here you can buy mid riff tops for 6 year olds
hey playboys not that porn like
so when you have jon benets all over the place & they're being sent the message that it's ok to "make a mistake" where you take off your clothes for pics - well that's just insane
the crap that passes for culture in this country (the US) is drivel. i blame deregulation and reality tv for a lot of it
you're right HK, and that's what bothers me. I remember in Praue walking down the street, and seeing topless women on billboards... it wasn't a raunchy ad like a beer commercial or anything, but as liberal of a society as we have become, there are some puritanical aspects that still linger.
And when you send home teens who are dressed inappropiately at school their parents come in to find out why you'd do that. One would think they would be pleased that someone wanted to put clothes on them.
*prague*
i have big issues about some adds, this is why i dont want kids
i highly recommend shutting off your cable tv if you can manage it. or at least stop tuning in Fox (all the Fox chennels!)
i dont have cable
why is that gwen?
Who has time for cable ...we have babble right!
lol mundy
how much current tv programming is wirth paying for cable to get? not enough of it!
what do you mean why is that?
fox is awful
itll brainwash ya.
bad time to mention that I work for fox then, hunh?
lol Jade
i had a period where money was tight and cable was shut off and i don't miss the crap! (i do have a friend who records a few shows for me though, so i'm not saying all tv is bad)
thanks, all! bbl
Just been watching Jane Eyre on PBS...
i dont have cable or out going calls
jade, my sympathies to you!
yeah - i only have the super basic cable tv cause it comes with the cable for the computer & i keep it cause it gives me a clear picture on cbs
thank you.....but they pay me well.
besides thats what bit torrents are for
lol jade
Hi Jili...did you have sunshine today?
jilli, is this a new production?
