HIya muse!
Hello peri...
Hey GW how are you and your family
Now you are getting your priorities in order, Jade!!
What a nice welcome :) I really should be sleeping though
About time too
hi Jade!
ru 7
me too, peri -- the family are fine, though I am very tired from a looong work week, but I am getting my weekly chat fix since I never seem to have the energy during the week
bigger phantom: chartreuse
how goes it muse?
going well Jade and you?
have only found one of the 7's and none of the 8's
It's been a REALLY difficult week, but it's over now.
:
sorry to hear jade, hope it gets better for you
"All the world is God's own field, Fruit unto His praise to yield Wheat and ***** together sown, Unto joy or sorrow grown"
thanks, muse. It should from here on out.
Peri...two of the 8's are in the AB's
thanks dave, I found an ab6/30
alphabetically the 8's come first...I can try to clue if needed.
that's pretty obscure douglas, are you by any chance a church musician?
hey harpjane!
woould love a clue for the ab8's
hi jade
me too!
me too
i think abcd should be a word. we hear it all the time
It's a well-known hymn for the Thanksgiving season..."Harvest Home"
ab+crooked letter+ rhymes with tr5/14 that countries sign to end a war
only have the ru7, would love clues for any of the 7's too
I thought so dave~!
there's a second AB8
also...ab+what mom may be considered if kids NEVER get their way.
thanks
I'm an accidental church musician, having sung at church a couple of times in the past couple of months...
i see, douglas!
se 7
thanks Douglas found the ab8/55 can't figure out the clue with mom though
Have you heard the parable of the wheat and the *****?
I didn't get that either, peri
didn't get any of the clues for the ab 8/60 --- have the 8/55
No, Doug
is the cr 8 a compound word?
HOw do you all know the word stats already? Is lickety up and I missed it?
Jesus said the kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came, sowed ***** in his field, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, the ***** appeared also.
aha -- got the other ab 8
there are 2 8/55's...I'll try again...ab+my doctor put me on a ***** no-sodium diet.
got it thattime
yes jade...you missed it...sory
*sorry
thanks dave, got that one. Doug, why do you want to make me pull out my bible for reference?
still don't get it dave
Ill figure it out later
re8
The master's servants came to him and said "Sir, didn't you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the ***** come from. The master said "An enemy has done this." The servants said "Do you want us to pull them up?" The master said, "'No,' he answered, 'because while you are pulling the weeds, you may root up the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.'
ab 8:ab+opposite of lenient
no nan, cr8 is not compound
Helen!
thanks seano, that clue I got :)
How are you?!?!?!
hi jade!
Matthew 13:24-30. You should use the KJV to get the word in the grid...
is there an ab8/60 too
nope
I thought someone said there was -- have 8/55 x2, so maybe not
night all- I will leave the rest til morning. good night dave70la and angel13136 and all others - happy babbling
bye DR1965!
Night DR
Something that sounds a lot like one of the Purim characters is in the grid...
cybernan - ab 8/55 x2 and ab 6/30

clue for the ab 8/60?
I have an se7/32 is the se8 built on this
no ab8/60 cybernan only 2x8/55 and 1x6/30
thanks, ursh
np cybernan - got frustrated looking so checked the list
is there more than one se 7/32?
Need to get out and about before it gets too hot - bbl
I have an se7/36
thanks peri...took me a minute....
NP Jade
bye ursh!
ursh said se 8 was built on se 7'32, but the se 7/ 32 that I have is a plural
peri builds on the 7/36
me too nan...
thanks muse don't have that one
I got it muse & nan....
not me nan - i dont have either se7
ah -- found it
my cat's name is here :)
muse may I have a clue for the se7/36 please
nan se8/50 = the pentagon is the se7 minus the last humpback + suffix meaning the most.....
se 8/50 is the superlative of se 6/24
exactly
dont have the se6/24 either
se6 = safe and se****
peri, when you lock something up you make it se****

sprite, a good friend and bridge player died last night, so I'm a bit distracted
we were supposed to play at his house tomorrow
I am so sorry, jilli! *hug* That is a bad loss :(
Sorry to hear that jilli......lost a friend myself this week.
Oh ((((jilli)))) very sorry to hear that
*hugs jilli tight*
sorry to hear that too, Jade. Losing friends is hard.
thanks, all
you too ((((jade)))), that is heart wrenching
jade -- I know how you must feel too {{{hugs}}}}
Yes it is, sprite, thanks.
sorry jill and jade
thanks all.
he was defending Mr. Cheney in afghanistan.
Jilli, you're in my thoughts & prayers.
that's awful, jade. My friend was old, but a vivid personality and it's hard to realise he's gone.
I understand.
I am doing very poorly on the biggies today. I can make lots of compounds, like help for picnic pests, or a taxi doing nothing, but none of them are valid!
hi all {{{hugging everyone}}} I am here but not decided if I want to play this one yet...
Jade, sorry to hear of your loss, too.
hi stid
hey stid *hugs right back*
since Jill is giving words away though... *wink, grin, rofl*
thanks stid
gringrin... stid said a wo-ord, stid said a wo-ord
gringrin... stid said a wo-ord, stid said a wo-ord
I did? where!!!!????? *sob*
sorry for the echo, no idea where that came from.
sprite, I have 4 of the 8s -- ab8/55 x2, cr8/50, se850
that's okay sprite, a tiny burp in babble...
stid's been spying on me!
re8/45 jilli
hi everyone
thanks jilli, will go look! Best I have sofar is Se7.
hi andree
HI Andree!
thanks :| -- I'll hunt for it
hey Andree!
hi andree!
its been a hot day, now the southerly has arrived i am babbling outside
it is pouring here, incredibly wet weather, even for holland. Can I come over for tea, Andree?
?southerly?
southerly is a wind that comes from the south, in australia that typically means cool winds
breeze from the south stid
thx for the offer sprite, you can send the rain though, we need it
thanks :| (how do I _say_ that?}
so southerly is good! :-) glad to hear it, andree
lol stid, i guess you cant.
pouty face?
its very good and what we hope foe and mostly get after a hot day
it snowed a bit here today
wasn't offering, was begging, lol. But I just told the rain to go visit you, Andree.
not amused sprite - but i guess pouty also serves
i think autumn is going to be late
thx sprite
did it Jill? we got a little bit of sleety rain in the morning and again in the evening, but no more white stuff since Thursday, and nothing stuck since Weds
i find it so interesting all the different time zones and weather etc
it was just a light dusting and roads are clear. Supposed to warm up
fun world here, eh Andree?
haven't seen snow for years, last time was maybe mount fujii
we got some snow this morning, but it cleared up but was very cold the rest of the day
I am so ready for it to warm up. Talked to riemann this afternoon and the blizzard was pretty impressive for him in South Dakota!
Glad it's not piling up a lot more Jade, you folks have really been hit this winter!
has anyone found a word for the middle c in the top row?
taxis Jill?
I've found a few jilli...
no, that's from the left C. :-(
jilli, it is a 5/14
Yes we have, stid....wish it would go away though....
that's the left c. I have 10 words from there
it has to do with around that time
that's it, joey, thanks :)
usually seen on things like old photos
yw
I have 19 Cs total, but not sure which gave birth to what...
ha, got it -- thanks joey
ooh! thanks Joey! 20 C! LOL
i have 19 in the left c, it does make it confusing
clues for words from a certain tile are always hard, but this tile only gives one word :) That makes it easier to see.
it would be lovely to click on a letter and see which from the list originate there, along with the option to sort by length rather than alphabetically
that would be helpful, :|
jilli, are those 2 Ab8's related?
phantom = indict and its not even close to being there
there's a ca4/7 from the middle c
first four letters are same sprite, but after that no
thanks :| Crone, I think that comes from another tile.
middle tile is ci5/14
hello crone!
clue for ab8's please
got it, thanks again. Now on to the Cr...
hey Crone!
hi all!
inventive spellings: rabyt, brest, bruse, anty
now I'm looking for words from the two e's in the bottom row.
Hiya MVA
go teach 'm, stid!
hiya stid - cold enough for you? I've got a current temp of 36c at 6:55pm
Hello MVA
I grayed the W tile!
andree...ab+crooked letter+rhymes with tr5/14 that countries sign to end a war
wg, stid
brrrr. I don't know current temp here, but it's got to be close to freezing outside...
andree...other is ab+opposite of lenient
Go stid!
what does wg mean? Wery good? Well gone?
cr8/50 anyone?
thx dave , will go looking
I envy you - you can always put more clothes on but there's a limit to how much you can take off
thanks dave!
welcome
meanest, monkey
wow! thanks jill
wg was supposed to be wtg. I'm sleepy and so are my fingers obviously
im back..morning again
yw monkey
hi rolin
good morning rolin!
lol, you had me puzzling there jilli :D
thanks Jill!
I have an ab 8/55. what is the count on the other please?

go Jade go!
hi rolin
6 here and I will be at my goal of 100 words.
wtg stid's monkey!
1 here and I'll settle for 80 but I'd like to get my other goal of a word from eachtile and I still lack those bottom row e's
i have 2 in the right one, but none in the other E jilli
and there! Met my secondary goal of at least one from each tile, too! :-) thanks to everyone. See you sometime after I have enjoyed some shut-eye! Jill -- bottom right E: an off-white color
and there! Met my secondary goal of at least one from each tile, too! :-) thanks to everyone. See you sometime after I have enjoyed some shut-eye! Jill -- bottom right E: an off-white color

night jilli *hug*
ok..help me here...im having an idea that there should be a bear word from the u...but i cant remember for shure...am i one the right track?
*poof*
shouldn't the A be a little closer for that bear? All I have is sub**** though, still 2 missing
i can never remember how to spell it...lol
other two relate to people who employ tools
I think you mean ursa, rolin, and that is close, but no cigar, lol.
i have those 2...its the other...
that's like part of town outside of town, sub****
stray
then its the one sprite clued - part of a city is a sub*** plural
pooh..sorry
hehe, don't forget E6/24 now you're at it, rolin ;)
ty sprite and :|
ty..:|...and sprite///
yw :)
and the only def. for the u word is an acronym...
5 more words before bed, but I'm fading fast....
infoplease says ***an area, for the singular, rolin.
infoplease?...whats the url for that?
http://www.infoplease.com/
great site, usually has defs when the ? mark does not.
a very cool site indeed..ill have to let my kids at school know about that one
what I like best it that when it doesn't have a def, it suggests places where you can look further.
yes...and thats just lead me to see that encarta has listed 'koala bear' as a valid term...aaaggghhh!!!!
LOL!
*shaking head*.... and ofcourse theres NO one i can complain to..
www.koalasunite.com ;)
lol...
that may well be a domain you see appearing...
hi babble buddies!
hi Dee!
hey volley..
hi dee
hugs sprite; hope all is well with you; hi rolin
hi dee
hi andree
hi MV
could be better, Dee, but definitely could be a lot worse too :) Thanks for asking.
sorry to hear things are bumpy; hope it doesn't last long!!
sometimes things must worsen first before they can get better, so they tell me... and I pretend to believe it ;)
that was true for my friend... things did get tough before they got better... all the things she had "stuffed" in denial had to be worked through
are these tr words a bit tough? or is it me
I am finding this entire grid tough today
and me sprite sometimes it takes a while to come out of darkness into light
good to hear that, that is encouraging. Right now it is a bit like I am wearing my skin inside out. Like all nerve ends are sticking out of me. But hey, I am the stubborn type that never gives up - should work FOR me this time, right!
that is so true, Andree. Thanks for sharing :)
like you are a walking raw nerve... I understand that... and totally agree with Andree about moving from darkness into light
cr 8 if no one said that before
when i had panic attacks sprite i felt my skin was made of sandpaper
i cannot even imagine having one now
that's exactly it, Andree. Good to know I am not alone in that - and that it is possible to get over it.
stupid thing is, before this therapy I never had panic attacks, or if I did, I could suppress them so deep I did not even recognise them as such. So part of me feels like I am getting worse.
not only get over it but put it completely behind you
falling asleep @ the keyboard....nite all.....
night Jade, sweet dreams!
your body may be reacting, but your mind, soul, and heart are beginning to heal
nite jade
I'll keep that in mind, Andree, thanks :)
and that too, Dee, *hugs*
hugs back sprite!
nite jade
can't believe I had the first ab8 and spent about 15 minutes finding the re8.
doesn't seem to be a friendly grid so far, so I think you did great Sprite
but they are almost the same! Really blind today.
me too... haven't found either yet... lol
me too!!
me either
lol - re8 = confine, make less things possible. The first ab8 is similar.
have to go inside darkness has fallen
did the southerly cool you down a bit, Andree?
thx sprite
ty sprite
yw :)
i cannot believe there are 22 from the corner c...*sigh*
the first 19 there are easy enuff that i found em rolin
i have 14
i only have 18 of them so far rolin, but they are fairly easy
they are not that hard.
ty sprite; found the ab and the re 8 and a cr 8; do you have any of the other 8's?
now i can see the keyboard, it was dark outside and i was at the point where all i could see was the screen
i have another ab8/55. and i think someone called another ab8 with a different point value...but i haven't found it
therews 2 x ab8s
so 2 ab 8's and 2 re 8's??
i have a cr8/50
no 1 re and 1 se
ty for clarifying
I have all 5 8's if anyone needs clues
can you just tell me the beginning 2 letters...
oooh i found the se8 all by myself..woohoo
2 ab8/55; 1 cr8/50; 1 re8/45. so i'm missing an se8?...looking
wtg rolin!
got the se8. thank you
ty for the start dave..
clue for tr7/28 please
clue for the t from the second row please?
sorry andree...not there yet...still working on the se's
dispatch..its the acis in tea
acid...and in wine..the adj form of the word
to brown in the sun + not out
point value rolin?
6/21
thank you...found it
Andree: tr7/28 like bodily fighting with someone Wr***** but starting T.
ok..i have a 100 left...i really have to do some work...cya all later..*s*
bye rolin, thx sprite
bye rolin
bye rolin, 106 left and i must go too, have fun all!
bye mva
bye MVA
and bye rolin :)
50 left...must go to bed
sleep well, dave
thanks...night all.
i am going to have some dinner with 100 left, finding it very slow going tonight
it's not going too bad here so far, I kinda like this grid. Enjoy your dinner, Andree!
firewords :)
Congrats sprite!
Well done sprite! Good moming/evening all.
Congrats Sprite !!!!! Hello everyone
hi FMitch, Haz and lynxxx :)
Morning Haz and Hi Lynxxx
Congrats Sprite! Hi everyone.
and hi Jen!!
Hello FMItch and lynxxx and Jencatd.
Babble is very slow today.
Hi Jen
the site or the grid, FMitch?
accepting words and a bit of a lag on the log
it is fine here, sorry you have lag. Not fun, playing with lag.
The old lags are the worst, you know where they have been....
LOL
74 word and nothing bigger than a 6. le sigh
Morning all help please with the re8/45 it is driving me mad
Good morning caitlyn.
Hi caitlyn
hi caitlyn, re8 = confine, make less possible. Ab8 is similar.
Thanks sprite i will work on that
TY Sprite
nice clue there for the re8 thanks
yw :)
should have said 'one of the ab8's'
must be off, picking up kids from scating lessons. Have fun with the grid :)
bye sprite!
and you have fun too Sprite. Bye
hi everyone!
Bye sprite have a good day. Hi Fran
Hi Fran!
hi lynxxx! hi fmitch!
how's the grid today?
i actually haven't started, trying to decide if i should just go to sleep and do it tomorrow if i have time.
sticky :(
still thinking
you knDive in and enjoy, you know you want to.
i know, i did already! :-)
don't know why i even tried to resist
Yes, I'm still thinking about that one - why resist?
To try to fool yourself into thinking you're not addicted? :D
Good evening Fran, by the way.
it was momentary delusion, it's over now
temporary sanity perhaps?
*checking to see if the icon has changed to match the theme*
yup
morning all..again
Now it's guess the theme time, based on rolin's icon...
i just copied fran
Good morning rolin.
hi rolin!
and your assessment of the grid today haz?
i had to refresh to see it, but it's there.
Same as FMitch - a bit sticky.
it looks better in 1Mb proportions ihave to say
Fran - is that where the word holiday came from?
yes i agree haz..lotsa words doesnt mean theyre easy to find
i have no idea lynxxx, i just did a quick google search, didn't read too much about it.
With the re8 my head was telling me one thing, but my eyes weren't cooperating to see it in the grid.
Glad to know I am not the only one think that about the grid Haz.
That blessed b in the middle is a nuisance.
i feel myself reaching for the list with only just over half done...i usually try to get to 2/3 done
but i have the 8s if anyone needs them
(Babblers struggling to know whether to continue the torture a little longer)
thanks rolin, i think i will continue the torture a little longer. :-)
You see, you CAN be strong-willed when you want to be, Fran.
:-)
Talking of being strong willed I must away, things to do. Happy Babbling.
bye fmitch!
Good grief, I'm surrounded by iron women.... Bye FMitch.
LOL bye Haz and Fran
phantom: streusel
It won't accept the Irish version of a good time, craic....
enable isn't exactly the life of the party
No, it's quite stiff upper lip today, cu4/6 and te5/10.
thanks, missed the te5/10. :-)
i'm sure you already have the sound-alike te5/12
Yes, thanks.
hello babblers.
Hello Bloodaxe.
hi bloodaxe!
quit day today, huh?
everyone is deep in the grid
It's a kind of shoulders to the plough type of day. This is probably the quiet portion of the log. I find the log very frantic later on....
Theme Party - Deep in Dispair. Anyone heard that joke?
We're more your contemplative types (we can't chat and find words at the same time..)
Good evening Lickety - nice to see you!
Hey Haz! Just walking by - putting kids to bed
How are they doing? keeping you entertained?
yea greyed out the top row
hi lickety!
He just played cards - a patience game for 3 - no turns - just get your cards out when you can - It was fun!

wtg rolin!
Hi all, just popping in and out today, kinda busy. Got to get the garden in shape as it seems like a decent day for once!!
How's mrpresident coping with her studies?
Haz - mmm, I think she needs to get into it more - time will tell
time for me to get to bed, leaving 100 for tomorrow.

G'd morning Babblers!
Hi Lori
Good morning everyone. We seem to have handled that troll well.
I see it's a sloppy start to the morning in here.....
Hello Eva
Shalom Everyone
G'd morning ARB
Hello ARB
Hello Eva, Lynxxx, LoriP
My first phantom of the grid .... bruise
Ack! re words ***mumble mumble grumble***
exactly lori
Was there a long pause in the chat log ? I was afraid it had been attacked.
hi all. good morning/evening!
it was attacked arb, by a troll. But she's gone. We maintained complete air silence and she went poof
I just got on, and saw that foolishness. Sad, really for people like that.
morning my fellow babblers!!!!!!
G'd morning kanga!
Hi Kanga!
G'd morning movie!
I think we're getting better at not feeding them
hi, movie.
Morning Movieman
Hi Movieman, Kangabrat
Why do they even want to intrude? Whaere are they getting their kicks?
Hey, I only have 194 more to go!
go, lori, go!!!
LOL I'm not awake yet. This grid looks like a math test, rather than Babble. More coffee stat!
It's not that bad Lori-at least the first 150 weren't that bad.
Clues for the 8's, STAT!!!!
i'm nearly asleep, lori. too much wine and indian curry... can't focus either...
cr8. the most mean.
only have one of those so far movie-se8/50
I'll come around after another cuppa'. 'til then I shall type in non words.
I have cr 8. ab 8, ab 8, se 8
there's a re8, too.
re8.45 constrain
thanks arb
TY Kanga & ARB
ty Lynx - now I have all the 8's
ty for those clues all, i shall get morewords onto it straightaway!!!!!
arb-do those ab8's come fromthe outlandish ab6?
:), lynxxx
one of the ab's is like the re
No, Eva. I usually think of the two ab 8 words as being with the prefix ob
come before, eva. the other is difficult to comprehend.
thanks! Have them all now. Good clues!
i don't suppose anyone would like to share on the se8?
Morning campers, Hi-de-hi! 215 words is a bit steep for me, but I'll have a go. There is football on TV this afternoon so I need something to do!
kanga-safest
G'd morning Wren
Hi ExWren !
pass the fish, eva! thank you.
hi, wren.
thanks Eva, you just gave me my first word of the day
hi eva
clues for the ab8s plz
Just look back on the chat Mivieman - there was a whole lot after you asked about the 8s
ab + firm with discipline
ab + boa con***ictor + hints are very ***ful
that coffee has obviously kicked in, lori.
ty kanga n' lori
LOL, I chugged one, as a preemptive strike!
I love plodding along n days like this, my day off. Seeing if I can find the weird ones.
and there are a few of those here today...
If I type brusie in there one more freakin' time.....Ack!
does anyone else think that this game is prejudiced against Aussie blokes? I mean, "Sheila(s)" is acceptable, but "Bruce(s)" isn't.......
myself - I keep typing in bruce
got to say, movie, never called a bloke a bruce... but do try an alternate spelling, chaps.
there is a word that starts with the first 4 letters....
gee, i'm tireder than i thought. scrap that last comment. pay attention to arb, she knows best!
heh heh heh monkeyed that. Bonus freebie. Thanks!
TY ARB
yw. Now we just have to learn what the stupid word means, since it's not in the dictionary!
It's something poisonous, on a quick Google
anyone got any clues for the first cu6/24?
Hi everyone - popped in earlier, saw a naughty word in the chat and popped out again!
G'd morning JFB
Kanga - cu6.24 someone who puts a hex on you (not sure if first)
cu 6/24 Add a British slang for goodbye to the cu before it
thanks, arb. you really do know best!
aw shucks. You'll have to tell my know-it-all grandson.
LOL ARB
just point him in my direction, arb.
CAffeine levels dipping again. Must get another jolt.
Big mistake. I answered the phone. Off to work for a few hours.
Happy Babbling, and perhaps I'll see you all later on. Have a great morning everyone!
Bye Lori
see you later, lori.
Bye Lori.
can no longer function. will try to sleep despite heat. goodnight all.
nite Kanga
Byr Kanga
I'll say goodnite too - bye everyone
bye Lyn
Good day, Babblers! How is this grid?
good morning all
morning!
How's everyone's week been? I for one am glad it is over and it's the weekend
Hi Sheryll-haven't seen you here in a while. And feather, you are on early.
yup, darling daniel came into my bedroom at 7:15 this morning. so much for sleeping in on weekends!
morning all! So far the grid is auspicious...the top left C is grayed out!
haven't been on too much lately. I quit smoking Jan 1 and sitting at the computer used to be one of my smoke times.
I passed out early so I am up early. And Inge2--good for you, I have 7 of those so far
Sheryl--great for you! That is huge!
good for you inge, I have none grayed out but working on it
gotta go take care of a diaper, and get both of us dressed. back in a few to start.
Sheryl, that's FANTASTIC. you go girl!
kudos to you, Sheryl!! I quit several years ago after making attempts for almost 10 years. I know how tough it is. You are AWESOME!!!
ty scrabbler, really glad I did it, don't like the 15 pounds I have gained since quitting but hey my lungs thank me
ty ch1212, all this praise will go to my head, lol
both my husband and myself quit at the same time, don't think I could have did it if he wouldn't have done it too.
my kids are very happy that we don't smoke in the house anymore.
I'm sure that did help, good for him too! That's true love
Sheryl, you can lose wt, but your lungs cannot heal without quitting the cigarettes.
If you really want a huge rush to your head just start going for jogs or aerobic walks -- your new lungs will push so much oxygen into your brain you will get that same 'rush' as you did from the first ciggie in the morning. :)
And what an example for your kids.
thats what I figure scrabbler, the weight I can lose
yes, you can lose the weight...one thing at a time!
My daughter was thrilled when I quit, and she has never started herself. Your kids have a much better chance now!! You and your husband should really celebrate if you haven't already!
you know what the biggest driver was for the hubby and me to quit? The money. We were spending $100 a week on smokes, we just said to ourselves that money should be for our retirement or trips and fun things now
I sincerely think neither of my kids will smoke, thank god.
((((Sheryl, husband, and kids))) Yippeeeeee!
Wow. Then you definitely have the money to treat yourselves to a wonderful vacation!! Hurrah again for you and your family!
it's funny both my parents smoke, still do, and I became a smoker, both my kids parents smoke and they didin't start and hate it
really think it has to do with the education they get at an early age
Ditto here!
3 words left
yes, money can be a great motivator. Our lab has done studies with alcoholics and money as a reward for quitting drinking
I don't remember hearing how awful smoking was when i was small
wow lynn I ahve 148 words, too much gabbing I guess
Good morning everyone!
hi charm!
good morning charm
Yeah, I greyed out the C with 22 words--not too hard at all.
lol
Hi Charm
Hey, Inge2
Hi, Scrabbler
And Sheryl, isn't it AMAZING how stinky it is? I mean, I honestly thought I was covering up the smell when I smoked, and after I quit, I couldn't BELIEVE how much the smoke had permeated everything in the hosue.
Hi, Sheryl
I am stuck at 11 for that C scrabbler so kudo's
Scrabbler do you have the middle C? (And no, not looking for the note :)
Thats so funny Ch1212 I was talking about that the other day, I too really thought my house, clothes, car etc didn't smell, and now, phew!!!!
Hi, and good morning all
morning Pam
Afternoon all - just had a scary morning and bought a new car - spent loads just like that
ch--I am searching for that C
hi pam
Hi Pammy!!!!
Hi, Pam
Wow, kazzer! What did you get?
scary morning Kazz sounds great to me, would love to spend lots of money, lol
crust
scrabbler, charm, ch1212, sheryl--yay on the no smoking--and everyone else....
"buy milk, new car" --grocery list
ty pam
thanks, pam
another puegoet 206 but this one is a2 litre turbo deisel - its still does 60 mpg which is the important thing and its got low emiisions
lucy would like to aplogies for using offensive language on the babble chatterbox.
I am going put that on my list for todays shopping but somehow I don't think it will happen, lol
rets
TY Lynn--I was going to work on that other C and you got me started!
lynne I already have those words how about something I don't
lol yw
curse
sounds great kazz
What did you say, Lucy?
lynn wrong box, lol
and I have that word too
Lynn--off to the penalty box
oh what box?
lol
what's in the penalty box today? besides coffee, I mean?
tis a shame really cos the one that has just died had done 220,000 miles in 8 years. However, the rear suspension failed and it wasnt ecomical enough to repair it
We did that at the end of last year kazzer - went to the sales to buy a cheap radio/CD player for the kitchen and came back with a car!! It does have a radio in it but won't fit in the kitchen!!
The penalty box, to serve your penalty for putting grid words in the chat log---you get beverages and treats, like donuts, croissants, coffee...
lmao, JFB thats a great story
nice c, thanks, lynn and scrabbler for pointing it out--am watching a Grey's anatomy I recorded....
LOL JFB!!
kazzer, good for you. 60 mpg is excellent!!
lol, jfb
JFB - trouble is we only looked at one but we did that the last time - in fact we bought the previous one before the car had been launched on the market - we were the first sale at the garage we went to
ok, back to start
go feather
LOL, JFB, I have gone to the pet store to buy supplies and left with a rabbit, but I never impulsively bought a car
diaper all changed, feather?
I need to put my head down and start looking, tottally stuck, thinking about the list
Let's go, feather. Inge2--do you have that middle, top row C?
We bought a peugeot as well
yep, and we're all dressed for the day
he's watching dora, i'm going to chill here for a little bit, then i'm going to see if he'll go to the bookstore with me
Uno, dos, tres with Dora and Boots!
scrabbler I don't have that c yet...but will take a look
it's a train race today...the best of both worlds, dora and a train!
does she have a truckers mouth? lol
So I still have a radio that wanders off station and a CD player that decides which track I want to listen to but have a lovely shiny car parked outside - and I don't drive!!!
LOLOLOL, jfb
lol jfb
You don't even drive, JFB?
center c5/14 -- about, around
TY mom23!!
funny get a new car and cant drive?
wait a minute, JRB you have a car you don't drive???
yw Scrabbler!
If excuse and recuse are words, why isn't cuse a word?
good logic to me scrabbler
lol scrabbbler
Never quite got round to it - my husband drives. I work on the theory there's enough idiots on the road as it is! I've never mastered a bike!
are the W words all wa?
JFB, you MUST learn to ride a bike--fun, fun!
oh, yes, try a bike. You'll discover freedom
So far the 2 I have are wa, feather
yes they are
never mind, found the other 2, they're wy
sounds like a color scrabbler
No sense of balance - I tried years ago and got fed up picking myself and the bike up!
Got 'em now, feather. TY for helping me to stop looking for 2 more wa words.
welcom
e
Get an adult-sized trike, JFB, with a basket in the back--go shopping
dora's getting to me....just tried "abre" (don't know what it means, but hear her say it a lot)
Good morning one and all

Oh, thanks.
It is on the Hallmark Channel for 2 hours each morning
there was inge?
bye jrb
We watched 'little house etc' my daughter loved it
bye JRB
don't get the hallmark channel
Little House is still on in reruns on the Hallmark Channel and TV Land
Yes, feather: Sawyer talks about something they did on "little house" and Kate makes fun of him for calling it that and watching it
Hallmark Channel is a great channel.
ohhh, i remember that now!
I love all the sappy movies on Hallmark channel, especially the Christmas ones.
I liked the books when I was a kid...particularly Garth Williams' lovely pencil drawings
My son
My son's ex-wife was related to the Wilder family. My fingers aren't working too well yet.
that's neat gail
My brain is not working too well yet
my tummy's rumbling time for some breakfast be back soon
It is too early here for me to even coordinate words. Only 11 so far. Pathetic!
My kid's great-great something grandfather on their father's side is Daniel Boone.
My brain is decidledly in caffeine confusion...
Gail, that is so neat
baby's really active right now, getting tons of kicks
Bye Sherylr
How I miss that time, Featherbee
bye, sheryl
that is cook history, gail
Fetus Featherbee wants words, more words
*cool history
hehe pam, i was wondering about cook history
Cooking over a fireplace must have been tough
Ha, you had me confused for a minute. I think they are legitimately related, too. Mr. Boone was rather prolific on his travels, from what I hear.
LLOLOLOLOL
Yeah, he was a regular johhny appleseed, if you will
Haha
My ex husband definitely took after his great-great-great grand daddy.
Oh, dear, Gail.
oh Gail, lol
sorry, gail...
It's funny now. My daughter sat next to a boy in college once who's last name was Carter and when they got to talking, he told her that his mother did geneology and that he was related to Daniel Boone. They had a good laugh over how many distant cousins they must have.
i need 2 of the seven letter words any clues?
ROFLMAO
Gail, that is something.
Lynn, I have 2 one is plural of the ca 6/21 meaning a group of people that regulate prices

ab6/30 ridiculous
temple, glad you are feeling better, boy oh boy sciatica is painful, glad that is gone
haz: house arrest, painkiller, and valium
Okay, I've got the valium....
And the painkiller - house arrest doesn't appeal...
also had vicodin but did not fill - didn't need it
I have hit a wall with 87 to go--where are the remainder hiding?
With mine Scrabbler
Naughty words, reveal yourselves!
hanging out with my gang of 104, scrab
une - will you be here a bit? i will go get the vial and check. but it's not really thepainkiller, it's the heat, rest, and muscle relaxer to reduce the swelling that causes presssure on the nerve
It is time for the list, I am giving in.
what?? no, i don't need any painkillers . . . unless you know something I don't . . .
:-D
sorry i meant haz
Yes, I'm here, but my problem seems to be a prolapsed disc.
don't know what that is, but it can't be good . . .
It's a nuisance!
they feel mine is injury related - have not heard the xray results yet
oh, i see we have a di6/27 Olympic moment . . .
It's good though, that the sciatica has lifted, you're making progress.
sot hen haz said a word LOL
So I did! Only realising now...
hey nut are you still here?
eek! this grid is very deceptive- i ws crusing along now have hit the wall at 141 left - yikes!
just went to the list with 88 left . . .
I went to the list with 87 left, and, surprise, I am making progress again
i will hold off for a bit
hope it gives me a jumpstart too, Scrabbler :-)

TY Charm--A,B,C and D are done, guess what is next?
i fail to see how i can find 15 a words from that position...
That's what I thought at first, too. But then, i always think that about most vowels....
size of house lot, babblets, etc.
Four begin with Mr. Carney
and Mr Garfunkel
ty i am up to 11

Hey, Aloy

We have to curtsey to you Aloy?
oooh i just love the idea of x country. the reality may be a bit different
oh wow, wish you could send some precip our way.. dry dry dry here.. lol, Haz!
The reality is wiping out at the bottom of hills, when gravity and speed conspire against me
If we had our way, the world would be criss-crossed with consignments of snow, rain, sun etc.
you taught me something too, didn't know second sp of curtsey, but now I do..
btw what is today's theme?
broke a rib once, xc down a hill and hit wet snow.. front of skis stopped and I went flying
good morning

I still think those mountain kids are not half as disadvantaged as they are made out to be. Where else can kids run to the creek and catch a frog, wade in the stream, etc.
I can go to places not far from here, that don't have inside plumbing. The gaps in lifestyle are everywhere, IMO
Lexington is a very nice city. John Prine here a couple weeks ago, anyone remember?

agent?
DRWED was a holy terror growing up Jilli...so he is well qualified to teach course on terrorism
sheesh, drwed! I'm sure you're not teaching How To Be A Suicide Bomber!
Oh no, not a how-to seminar.
i'll thank my ISP for not crashing!

***my brain doesn't even have fleeting contact with my fingers***
spelling, schmelling, SMD. My dear departed hub couldn't spell worth a damn and forgave me for being a fusspot. He would write "I'll meat you at the railway station..." back in the dark ages
Lol Jilli
I think spawn is a really cool word
Greetings Babblers! It is now 11 PM here in Nova Scotia. We saw the eclipse clearly and wonderfully around 7 PM. The totality lasted about 20 minutes. A huge reddish moon, awesome.
Greetings Swimbo
G'd evening sw
Bonsoir, swmbo!!!
Guess I cant spell either....
The eclipse was spectacular here, we lost it a few minutes after totality because of cloud
With that, at 11 pm, after my day off becoming a workday, I am off to bed.
We didn't get any of the eclipse, because of rain clouds......
I saw part of the eclipse....it was spectacular!

I know jilli, but it's Purim tonight, so I got an early start. Yep chag sameach (ch is as in Loch Ness) is the Hebrew greeting. In Yiddish, it's freilach purim.
ok, stid, got it! But Babbler is over ther too
are you leaving, dear doxy?
cool melon! thanks for the new words! :-)
Yep chag sameach, melo0n -- mea culpa :)
I was gonna stay and chat, but I am soooo tired, so I am leaving with 45 to go :( Nytol
Isn't this a good holiday with doughnuts? Or am I thinking of a differnt one...
night swmbo
sweet dreams swmbo, hope I catch you earlier next time.
Nightynight, swmbo (love Rumpole, BTW)
it's a holiday of gladness, eating and dressing up in costume
nite, swmbo
sounds like holi, without the throwing colours and water at each other
(see my icon, which few seem to have done!)
Gladness is good! I think maybe all the holidays about dressing up and celebrating this time of year must have started when someone like me stepped out of her front door and the tulips and the red-flowering currant were FINALLY blooming... (like me today)
very cool Jill! the icon is cute, too ;-)
holi moli, holi is a lot like purim.
what i gathered from my readings is it is a three day holiday where you go out and give food to your neighbors and wear funny costumes, help the less fortunate. it's also a holiday of reversals. kinda like boxing day
woo, stid!!! No blooms here yet (except snowdrops), but lots of buds ready to burst -- and btw, the fence guys showed up today but still no gate. Very penitent young man seems to have learned a lesson
Lent is a good time for penitence... LOL I am glad they at least showed up. Keeping fingers crossed for the gate to show up by Monday evening.
melon -- I thought so too!
er, no, stid, it won't.

ADHDWL, thanks for the explanation of Huli in your profile. I see it's a lunar hliday, like purim. i just love that colors are celebrated.
mission accomplished stid :)
LOL lbd... not tonight, have a minor migraine and not using the list... actually, probably not any night. This grid feels tricky to me.
stuck on ta4 after keeping ta** on someone
you mean being diplomatic about saying something? ta**ful speech informs but does not demean
the grid is windy and tricky Stid. ADHD, t+ what people do on stage.
poor stid... i've been getting wicked sinus headaches, with bits of the migraine stuff (photosensitivity, feeling like your head is cracking, can't move, think, do anything) i feel for you.
tx guys.... why oh why do i get the really long words with little or no help and the obvious ones seem to sneak past my brain cells
yech, migraines of any degree are bad news. sorry you are having another bout with them. (((hugs)))

cr7.44 any one?
No snow here.Yeahhhhh! (so far)
i used to get them every month with my cycle and had to go to the er for a couple of shots. After a hysterectomy at age 25, i only got them a couple of times a year. Lately i'm getting more headaches, but i think it's from the disintegrated fusions of my neck with spinal cord impingement causing megapain when i'm too active without my neck brace on.
people should be shot for cr***** to animals
cr 7/44 - animal cr*****
which one of you guys told me about quote puzzler? i think it may have been feather. if i join i wanna give credit where it belongs.
Do, you make aging sound like such fun! :-P
cool icon kenny
Got it! thanks.
could i have eu7 please?
My migraines seem to be stress-induced, it was a stressful week and I think my body just decided I needed an excuse to re**
OMG -- you guys are such sufferers! Migraines -- neck braces -- you have my sympathies and I'm grateful I never had those problems
aging...beats the alternative
there's an EU? oh my!
eu+ ***** Keach
thad -- eu + ***** Keach (Mike Hammer)
it's not from aging stid, i was in a really bad car accident in 1985.... broke lots of stuff, including my neck. the fusion failed a couple of years ago from rheumatoid arthritis (which they think i got from Lyme Disease). age STILL is a state of mind, and my ADHD brain makes me a perpetual child.
wow! what a great word. thanks lbd!
oh man, Do. very ouchy.
Now....ru6. anyone?
it's more mentally frustrating than anything else. less than two yrs ago i was climbing trees with the kids, riding quads and dirtbikes (dangerously), building forts, riding horses... you name it, daredevil me did it.
another clue for the eu please? i dont get that one
oh man..not paying attention. was that ta6 clued?
ADHD -- Ihave RA too, kept in remission by Plaquenil, plus many other ailments also kept in abeyance so I choose to ignore them
thanks! fireworks!
ab 8.55 both of them anyone?
whooo hooo thad!

YAY thad!

hi Wyrd: looks like EU tacked onto a woman's name that rhymes with "Macy"
later Jill
i take plaquenil too Jilli and it's a wonderful drug. i can get out of bed in a half hour instead of three hours; and don't get so stiff after being in one spot after a few minutes
later Jilli

THANK YOU STIDMAMA

oh yay
sunrise sunset
I know there are two ab 8/55 - I've only got one lol - any clues?!
seedlings turn overnight to sunflowers...
both start same first five letters. second one ends in the process of utilizing...
My grandson's first name now causes him trouble because so many girls have acquired it as a result, I'm told, of a soap opera herone -- Taylor, a family surname on his mother's side.
dont get your clue dunerpuss
dunder, same first 5 letters but go down not up to find it. it means to be clueless or not very clear
Yes, and there are many female Michaels. My mother in law's name "Shirley" was originally a man's name...
LOL lbd -- like the clue I gave!
much like frances and francis
I had a favourite female cousin Shirley too, and there was a very male Shirley somebody well known in Montreal -- etc etc etc
or my grandson's name...morgan. i told my son, Oh you named him after a horse breed! lol
my kid sis named her daughter Tyler, and i used to take care of a little girl (now in her twenties) named Taylor
but lbd, there is a difference there :)
okay, I am totally stuck. heading for the list. back soon.
morgan freeman, morgan fairchild...morgan horse breed, actually grandson is named after his great grandfather
ok,another clue is ab+ st 6/21 - I'm having a go at the ather variation still, thanks Ibdawger
OK, I am losing my mind over the ab8 that does not mean recondite - or obscure, in case recondite is too obscure a word - hehe.
I named my oldest son Bari Marc (his dad is Barry and I didn't want a junior, his uncle's name is Mark). I found this old Gaelic spelling for Barry. my son hates it cuz he gets stuff for females constantly... there is an author (fem) with that name, and in Daytona, FL a lady's clothing store by that name, and he's constantly getting mail for Ms. Bari.......
I'm really going to leave my last 10 for after kedgeree (isn't anybody curious as to what kedgeree is?)
combine abstract and obtuse melonhead
i am jilli
melon, ab+ very stern
I have that one - that's the recondite one!
a game? a dog?
melon, were your parents permissive, or st****? add in your tummy muscles in front
yes jilli, what is kedegeree
I am Jill, and will look it up WHILE YOU COOK... ;-) get some food in you girl, before you melt away!
melon -- the severe ending for the other ab8
oh... it's FOOD?
but my version is an easy one...
a good way to use leftover fish and rice etc etc etc
as usual, i had to turn left (at Albuquerque) - tx stid!
FINALLY got the othe other ab 8/55 - talk about obtuse! (hint: kinda sounds like that too)
:-) that was my first thought too, dunderpuss!
lol dunder, i think we all felt that way once we found it!
ba5.16? finally got the clues for the ab's. Thanks guys
my kedgeree: 1 frying pan & butter leftover cooked finnan haddie (smoked cod) leftover rice (brown preferably)
does the st7 build off the 4/6?
