can I be proud for a moment? Was walking Hobbit yesterday and we came across a pack of 3 American Mastiffs. Like bull mastiffs but BIGGER. They were the size of small ponies. And they looked very menacing. Hobbit just waltzed past them wagging her tail! Even the mastiffs owners remarked that she was a brave little dog!

sprite...several thomas the train cars were recalled for having lead paint on them...I work at Toys R Us...so I get to deal with it directly.
luckily my kids don't have too many, but we had 4 of the recalled pieces.
I just feel bad for the parents...I can pull mine off the shelf...but they have to get them from the kids.

My little girl, two years old, LOVES her blue thomas train, and would totally freak (and notice) if it vanished in the night.

that's the best way to do it...My kids have a couple thousand dollars worth of Magnetix...luckily they are old enough not to swallow them!
so we're really lucky that it wasn't on the list (especially since the recall notice went out *the day before* we were getting on a train for a 35 hour trip! (which absolutely required clutching thomas much of the time)
My store still has plenty of thomas trains...just no red.
We had to pull several of the videos as well...some come with free trains.
i know sprite! ping (another babbler) is hopping mad. those trains cost $20 or more!
the only other one we have is a percy, green, also not affected. the rest of our wooden trains are from ikea.

mine are 8 and 5 an they still do it!!!!
guilty or not pink that's what you basically have to do...when calmer suggest something to play with or something to do...my 2 year old great grandson goes as far as banging head on the floor!
time seems to be the best cure, as he gets older he gets better

I got an e-mail from stid today - she's had sick kids and is busy with end of school year stuff.
