Good morning all. Beautiful sunny Sunday here.

Hello lynn. You have summer to look forward to. Ours was a washout this year. Hope yours is better.
We could still do with a washout though...I don't think its has rained for about 3 weeks. the garden is really really dry. lets hope October & November brings rain
Our cricket ground has stayed beautiful and lush green all 'summer'. Normally in August it is scorched brown.

hello :)
hey it's a terrific hair conditioner
Hi Liz. You joined at the right ti4/5.
So is head and shoulders.
.....but I don't drink that!
Hi Sprite, did you think anymore about a dog?
hey liz, we're all in the penalty box, lots of strawberries, choccy, champers and pizza, and now we have cocktails
oh yes, Liz, and still very in love with the king charles cavalier terrier
Naughty! Have you all been saying words?
SPANIEL! not terrier :P
oh hi Ata!
spaniel, spaniel.... where is my brain!
Exactly Ata. Was just about to say that.
I don't think all of us said words, Liz, but the penalty box is the best place right now :)
I'mconverting her to the spaniel club :)
no, just a lot of nuts having a good time.
me too Ata :))
Spaniels are lovely.
ok then rmcc can I join?

not so squeezy, liz, has elastic walls
Mine too.....but I'll share.
I just saw it Ata! My son says awwwwwww
*grin* its so hard to take goodpics of her cos she's so black. I tend to squeee madly whenever I manage it!
same with my black labrador Ata, you have to get the light highlighting their faces dont you?
totally, and then flash turns them white, and its so hard to get the balance
Hi
Is anyone having issues
hi herin
Ata, I just went all gooey. Hobbit is gorgeous.
many, herin. babble ones? nope
Yes babble ones
we should set up a black dog photography school Ata :)
brb, just ran out of 'juice'
I know I'm biased, Frances, but I agree :) She;s such a sweetheart
Ata - lovely- but the Sily Cat photo is fantastic, did that take you long
hi lynxxx
we should :)
Hi Liz
Sily pic was literally about 15 mins ago as she sat in the sun next to me :)
right I have to go BBL - my son is nagging at me :))
It looks as though it would have taken hours to get just that shot - well done
she's so photogenic, you just wave a camera at her and something beautiful turns out!
well, she sits by me most of the day, and I usually have my camera by me as well. So I can usually take advantage of momentary loveliness
The cat face is wonderful, such beatiful eyes.
bye liz! see you later
good morning everyone
by Liz
Bye Liz

morning Rolin
hi rolin :)
why cant the synonym for to dry...be to..'unwet'?
hi lynxx ((hugs))
hi rolin
Hi MRP - caught up on yr video diary last nite - you are progressing well! you and the doctors must be pleased. bet you can wait to get the cast off though - is it actually plaster?
can - read can't!
Hi all
Hi Nat
hi nat
ecru
ecrued
ooooppps!!
Rolin - do you have bable Expert?
erm...wassat?
Licety has written a great program which is like an overlay for Babble and his clue list. You can pick & choose what you see. One of the features on it is Lickety Add - if you use this single words will never go into the chat. Enters words into grid and clkue list at same too - saves hours. If you want it just email Lickety
I am menu planing
oooh that sounds like a great idea... ill do that...thx..
is this for feeding ya mum herin?
goodness - what awful spelling I have - maybe lickety can write a program for that too!
just typos lynxxx...
oooh is there a bablet...(which i can never remember)..starting em?
plus I am used to having Spellcheck run accross emails - you get lazy
No this is for a friend and if thats at me about my spelling for the millionth time DEAL. I have a spell check macro running and 2 conversations at once. I can multi task
lynxx. it isn't plaster (thank god) but it is a molded plastic cuff with a zipper... so I can take it off for showers.
don't think so Rolin - one is an eastern ruler and one 'gives out'
ok..i have those..thx
MRP wow thats an improvement on the old days! rather awkward showering with a rubbish bag taped to your shoulder and never sucessful!
Good Morning All
morning peri
and a special hello to mrp ((((((((mrp))))))))
HI Peri
can i assumed that the 9 is a past tense of the 8?
Infernal - relax - I was talking about myself!
well, I couldn't imagine having a heavy plaster on for 12 weeks!! and I pay alot of money for this surgery, so they better make it very comfortable (as much as it can be...) LOL!
Hi Peri
hi peri!! (((((hugs and kisses!)))))
never heard of that type of cast mrp, that is great that you can take it off when you shower
ok..over half way.. gonna do something in the garden...cyu all later
oh it's a blessing! I must find the information on it... it is a new thing
Rolin - best not assume as they are quite unrelated
see ya rolin :) enjoy the sunshine
Sorry lynxx. Ill unclench.
morning
HI Carlee
hi carlee
hi carlee :))
how everyone today?
Hi everyone
had a lovely day! lickety played his last games of soccer for the season, the 'mullet cup'... we had oysters and mullet for lunch! LOL... just wonderful!
hi candy
sounds fun mr pres...but...it begs the question..what is mullet..here is a REALLY bad hair cat
hair cut...sorry...no coffee yet
hair cat, lol carlee, made me chuckle
yes! it is a shocking hair cut! but a good barbecue fish!
well...it does rather look likeyou are wearing a hairy cat when u think of it...
morning Carlee
hi lynxxx
:-)
Glad you enjoyed your day PRessie
and my poor little boy fell on concrete... put the top teeth thru the bottom pallet of his mouth! He howled for hours!
ouch!!!
I think we need to see a dentist in the morning... he has dislodged teeth
oh my god..is he ok...did we need stitches?
good evening to those of you in Australia and good day to the rest of us.
did they fall out..or just loose?
oww! will it all be OK? no damage to teeth?
Hi Bichon
hi bichon
I'm puzzled by the be 7. Is the 3rd letter the one which begins many questions?
Owww poor master president. I would have howled for hours too
he was spitting up alot of blood, but when I looked, it seemed superficial... I just worry about his permanent teeth being dislodged. He ate dinner, so he is feeling much better
no Bichon...think of murder, theft etc
are they permanent?...or baby teeth still? if just loose..SHOULD be ok
thanks lynxx, never would have gotten that ever
Poor son mr pres
yw - though I am sure you would have
(((((((((((master pres)))))))))))))
I am struggling with the 8. Can anyone help please?
how silly is that un4.7 !

hi shdy, as much relaxed as possible, so ok, I guess :) How is yours?
Is the goal to create as many words as possible?
good, monday's a holiday, so even better!
pretty much esme...
Thanks for the welcome :)
hi Esme, welcome to the game. Much info for starters can be found in the Help (upper right) and Angelsong's Help Page (link at the bottom). Have fun!
Is the Nine called
gone to bake breakfast...muffins this sunday...
Not getting it. Clues please. It starts with an 'E' and is 7 letters
Oh thank you Sprite
yummy, see you carlee
I am so dense today i dont get the nine clue
Herin the 9 is un + br7/52
Oh fish me
that is we5/20, it takes the un9 but not present tense.
Thats cause its DEunderware
hehe herin
Please put me out of my misery. What is the E7
now i have 2 phantoms!
I have 39 words that is all. And i have know idea how i have those words either.
only have 16 so far, just woke up
E7 = eu + first 3 letters of fellony + 1st 2 letters of drop from your eye.
Im just bumbling about
aaghhh, the def for that stoopid eu word has 3 more Not-a-words in it!
Fireworks
YAH CANDY
yay candy!
but the drop from the eye is valid, shdy.
~Any clues before I leave?
yes, but the def made me feel like i woke up in a parallel universe!
lol, I see what you me4!
gabbro? gee that clears it right up! lol
my vote goes to bytownite. How totally absurd.
yes, but i never feel bad when i can't find words that don't exist!
what's the game where you make up definitions and try to get the other players to believe you?
nor me! I feel like a living miracle for having found it, even with clues.
Balderdash, that
s the game
rn
oh bugger! sorry...
mrP, darling, you talk in your sleep!
hi mrp!
can't sleep!!
rofl, :)
*hug*
am watching tennis and contemplating my navel... (((hugs)))
multitasking as ever... no wonder you can't sleep! ;)

I might just hang around in babble land and get my sanity back you tell that sh*t arm sprite!
OH MR pres sorry
oh sprite... did you listen to babblecast?
thanks infern :)
nut and I embarrassed ourselves well and truly! but we had fun doing it!!
I had to find out how to listen to them now, but I did. And I listened to an enlightening talk about sh*t :D
LOL! it was alot of fun! I thought it might be edited, but it wasn't!
it was truly amusing
glad you enjoyed it :)) *you are so sweet*
just yelled at my kids, they certainly don't think so atm, LOL
ah, yell and tell them that if you didn't yell, you are not spending enough time with them LOL
LOLLLL, will do. They deserved it, no worries...
no worries! LOL that is very australian!
hahahaha, just watched Crocodile Dundee yesterday, with the kids... I am so easily influenced :)
Hello all, or is it only the 2 of you silly girls?
make that 3 then :P
make it 4!
I'm here but it's too early to try and keep up with them!
make it 5 :)
Guten Morgen, Babblers. I am totally stumped by the re 5/12 word. Any help out there?
6 :), hi babbler
hi scrab atch esprit kali inge shdy et al :))
great crowd, see?
I am new to this game inge so I'm not much help sorry
i have on that's a tv show you've already seen, inge?
Hi Atch and EJ and Kallia and Inge and shdy and...............lots of silly girls now! Yippee.
one is to knot once again inge
give me ur email addresses girls
and past tense
you are welcome to the game, atchleya, and to the chat. We are just fooling around here.
oh and one silly.......um......
thanks shady that was it
brb
I have a bit of time before I leave for work--must see the sick little ones with anxious parents.
yw
Tag, Scrabbler, Teach them some German to keep them busy
the word Gesundheit, for example
hehe, inge
or wienershnitzel mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
29 to go, diving back under
any hints on the 9 letter word?
Or just wiener---I learn lots of words for "parts".
lol
Inge, we have some German families and it is fun to speak (basic) German with them. e.g. Let me check the Augen, the Ohren....
if you know the German word for "Letter", you have the middle part of the un 9
hey. how to play this thing
what's Plan B Inge?
Going to German-ENglish dictionary now
morning Babblers!
please tell me. other wise i'll have to read instructions
plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
hi charm
just find wordsM Hass
they have to connect at some point
just like Boggle
how long
anyone have the be7? i can't see it
how much
ein Buchstabe?
Hi, shdybr8
there are 163 words in this puzzle
Hi Charm
That's the word
Hi, Scrabbler
you have all day to complete a puzzle.
nein, Scrab, the other word for epistle
hmm.
that's the word I was thinking of inge
now put un in front and make it past tense
Inge, beautiful pic.
be 7, is be+ illegality
..of a beautiful woman!!
very true, Scrabbler!
thanks Charm, bygone days!
TY, bichon
ty, bichon
yw, a kind soul gave me that hint, otherwise...
for un/9 can I use the u again in the same word?
We all have our bygone days. Everyday when I look in the mirror I am reminded of that.
Cousin "earth"---are you here, lurking?
atchleya - you can use each particular tile once for each word. In this case, there can be only 1 U in any word, but there are possibilities for double Ds and Es.
Nope, atch--you can use a tile just once in a word.
darn, then I'm stuck
I am stuck on that un9 also
any more hints out there then for us stuckers :)
So who watched tennis yesterday?
un9 = earlier clue: take off underwear.
(past tense)
un 9/96 +slang name for a solicitor or legal satchel/or knickers!!
ah I got it!
atch...when you come back from a secret mission you are de*******, but start with un
TY, I got it!
:-)
WOOT! Thanks yall, got it
is it not un + *****case?
I never thing of "underwear" in that word! That was tripping me up
sorry, atch
nm, got it
but why isn't it a word as a present tense
the "present" tense form is not accepted
so weird that it is good in the pst tense but not present
lol
anyone have the 8 letter yet?
all these great minds!
==one uber great mind!!
re + de6/30 - to overcome your enemies again.
TY, TY, Charm!
yw yw
ok, 2nd word in a row not in dictionary, grrrrr
Lower your expectations, shdy
hehe, scrab - but i was trying to learn something!
i guess not in dict. is better than the def for eu7!
I hardly ever look up meanings anymore. I just enter the word in my personal harddrive for future access
A hint for eu7?
ok....correct me if I am wrong..but it is sunday morning...8:30 edt...yes?
yes carlee
Yes, Carlee, why?
my nextdorr neighbour is outside WITH a sledge hammer busting up a concrete pad....
already have more than yesterday, this is harder than I thought
and addictive too
eu + 1st 3 of commit a cr 5/14, + 1st 2 of cry a drop
Better than taking it to his wife
I thought your neighbors were your FRIENDS!
carlee - it could be worse. It could be 7:30 in the a.m. like here....
its SUNDAY..on a LONG weekend...
lol, scrab, nice thought!
TY, shdy!
but you're up
Maybe he is really hostile and needs to d othis, but now he is making his neighbor's hostile
Charm--I thought you are in Florida--EDT
hi everybody!
Hi Madi
maybe he is looking for Jimmy Hoffa
This backward section of Florida is in the Central time zone. We are so close to Mobile and N'awlins, you can hear dueling banjos in the background.
I'm stuck on "commit a crime" of the eu clue
Hi, Madi
LOL, EJ--good explanation!
Atch--cr5 is in the grid and we try not to commit a Babble cr5 by putting grid words in the chat
Off to the penalty box with her. I think I can sneak in a bit of coffee and chocolate zucchini cake....
****plucks banjo
When we commit a Babble cr5, atch, we have to go to the Babble penalty box and sit in the naughty chair
Naughty chair! I don't even make the kids I work with sit in the naughty chair!
I seem to have hit the wall with 61 words
ah, but, every time someone goes to the penalty box, they find it stocked with chocolatey delights
You should, atch, when they are naughty
Yes, but babblers are very naughty indeed.
*yum*
COmpany policy, no naughty chair allowed!
Well, can you beat them, atch? Tie them up?
Sadly no
with a sledgehammer, scrab?
Sometimes I feel like it though!
shdybr8, you're killing me!
well, i believe supernanny knows the right techniques
No, shdy, you don't want to leave signs of obvious injury
lol
can I have the eu hint again? I can't find it in the log
"fird" is not a word--I thought after second is fird
that reminds me... i need to block that show from my parents
lol scrab
lol scrabs
First, second fird, fourth, fith
eu - eu + ****ics Ebert & Roper + vowel.
eu + first 3 letters of "commit a cr5" + ...what Charm just said
lol
after you get eu7, look at its definition
danke to one and all. Fireworks.
phantom: erudite.
yay inge!
Yay, Inge
Well, if you had told me gabbro with augite and the other thing I would have easily gotten the word, geez
Wunderbar, Inge!!
does ssthat make it a rock???
sorry, scrab
no it makes it a gabbro, duh!
It must be a rock
anyone see featherbee lately? i havent "seen" her here since before the baby came.
A gabbro type of rock
I thought gabbros were extinct
She still comes here, but she has family visiting this weekend so she is busy
feather is in and out as the baby permits
ii thought it was a balderdash dictionary
I never heard of gabbro before just now
They became extinct after they started spouting lines like: I vant to be alone. (I first read it as a Garbo....)
oh, ok. well, i hope baby is doing well
me either
LOL, Charm
there were 3 words in the def i would also have had to look up!
baby is gaining and growing, inspite of very good spitting talents
Yes, shdy--I need a translation of the definition
it was about 5 minutes after i woke up, thought i was in a parallel universe!
I will now try my luck with sudoku, BBL
well, those spitting talents will form into something even better eventually... i hope
So what happens if I get all of the words? Do I win a million dollars?
I need to get ready for work. I will be in the office from 10-12:30, then on-call til tomorrow. Will everyone help me with my calls later?
you get the pride of a job well done
help with calls?
Yes, you do, atch. Call your financial advisor right now.
sure scrabs, i will call up sally secretary for you
shdy--I am a pediatrician, so worried parents call regularly day and night with concerns, and occasionally for sick kids.
Well I'm a long way from the million dollar words so I'll hold off on that call
;)
I"ll pu tmy common sense cap on scrabs
forward every 4th call to me?
TY, carlee & shdy! OK, I must get ready---bye all.
see you later, scrabs
sally, is in the mail, scrabs, ta ta!
bye scrab
later scrabs
bye scrabbler
fireworks
<POMPOM TOSS> for angel....woot woot
Yay!< Angel

let's play the enable game!
the enable game is when you spell words any old way you want (using things found in the grid).
i want the synonym for 'to dry' be 'to unwet'
for instance, my nebur saw a burd in the rane
and for normal to be unweird
this sounds likea wurd fite to me
hey, if enable can do it, wi can't wie?
sorry rolin had to hardboot the lappy
and if it takes br4/6 ...which is an abbrev. then why wont it take crit??
maybe br4 means something else
ooooh cos its about fish too..hmm
done. any last words before I go?
you got all the words charm?
i was gonna say enable has an answer for everything..but thats not true..there are lotsa words that arent in dictionary.com
enable has a naro outlook.

Hi Charm

bye bye Charm, see you tomorrow
hello everyone
Hello Toad
hello toad, see ya Charm
gotta give her credet for finishing
I'll be crying teers if I don't finish this one
oh good crief
nowe, nowe
there's no need to crie
When I take my clothes off, I unwear them
I'm wuried about this grid
When I dry something, I unwet it
don't be mift, toad
haha. not really
i'm temted to unwire my computer now, i'm so mift
When I remove the cables from something, I unwire it
When something's black, it's unwite
if you get undressed, you unrowb
maybe if i put on a tewn it will help
why can't my reuben be in the dictionary?
i guess bc it's named efter a person
boo hiss!
ok I'm truly stumped on Charm's clue on the 8
i guess it's treu wat they say about being the bearer of bad news
to be a victor again
to win again
atch, the thrill of victory and the agony of ****** add the re to the beginning
I think I may have to skip that word today because I truly don't get it
atch, do you have the de 6/30?
i'm glad we got dr4/8 in a grid, that's fun.
past tense of burrying a body?
ah, my feurie is starting to take over, i'd better leave before i mirder something... atch- you have to look out of that lower right hand pocket
when you lose a game you have been de6.30 )de****ed)
no de + an alternate way of spelling what is below your ankles
ok, how about, re + de+ the things at the end of your legs, misspelled ;)

burd?

enable really does have crazy wurds and sometimes you get them by accident!
My boots are covered in dert!!!!!
I'm so hungry I'm naw on my hand if I have to!
I have to go back to my list and look atem all before I type, just to make sure
I wouldn't want to upset people and cause a fite....that would be like a bad driem come teru.
You nurd!
oh that is great
lol
That's a wurd, atch!!!!!
lol, you did it again atch
oh my
I'm surprised I haven't been put in the penalty box yet
dr5.14, before unwet
That's 2 wurds typed out here......
atch maybe you should go on mewt for a while
I looked out the window, and it looks like it's gonna rane
penalty box is voluntary
it is in the spirit of playing the enable game
oh it is?
How do I voluntarily penalize myself?
you say, i'm off to the penalty box
lol
and then you eat the yummy snacks therein
toad, d + the thin little piece of wood that goes on a clarinet to make the noise
Snacks? did someone say snacks?
There might be a teub of candy there atch
thank you mom
well I'm hungry so I might just go to the penalty box and eat some f/4

how many be words are there?
did you know, scientists believe that while humans domesticated dogs, cats chose to domesticate themselves?
doesn't surprise me hurshy
i can just picture them in ancient times, looking at the people eating food, and thinking, "i want to get in on that!"
makes sense hurshy, can't make them do something unless they want to do it :)
yay done :)
ty for the clues, all
congrats Raevyn
congrats Rae
yah for Rae
WTG Rae
you know how some cats are very eager to dash out of the house? my marty is the opposite. i had him outside at my mom's yesterday and was trying to put him in his stroller and he kept jumping out of my arms, but does he want to explore, no, he runs straight up to the front door and begs to be let in the house.
I'm off to make breakfast now, see you all at flip
my cats will go out of the house into the hall way and up the stairs, but will not go outside
enjoy flosey
he sure does like the familiar.
i do NOT see how there can be five more b's.

yay! lovely to see you!
and you :)
i hate b's
same ata
these b's aren't actually so bad, they just seem bad.
you're only saying that cos you've done them!
hurshy, can you help with my last to bu words, I have bu4 (like the flying animal) and bu6 (past tense of putting something in the ground)
well yes, but it helped a lot knowing there was one be and 4 bu, i knew i needed br's.
atch you need the person who does that latter
ah ok one more then
and bu5 that's like a cu5
and a scientific thingy bu5/16
only these crazy uns left 3 of them ugh
the only br word i don't really know is br5/16 that's like adam b*** but with an R
that cheese isnt capitalised? wow
I must not have the cu/5 cause I can't find the bu/5
the cu5 sounds like the cu**** of the parish
cu5 = dog + ** go home
LOL
is that a freudian slip? you don't like him any more than i do?
thought I'd be different
no, I don't like
*high five*
woot!
thought i was the only one in the world who didn't love that movie/character.
nope, he's freaky weird
feeling blonde, what movie are you talking about?
** go home movie LOL
ata's clue would traditionally read "phone home", not "go home"
got it ok, got the cu and bu words then LOL
odd. i have 4-1-1-2.
re 5/12? I am drawing a total blank, pleae
show an episode again
(or the episode which is so shown)
May I please have a clue for the Fi 6 ?
hurshy, look fi**** and tell her she can't
my marty is so fi6 and ferocious, striking terror into the hearts of alllllllllll who see him
thanks, I was real blank just then, LOL
hahaha
ah ty ty
So do yall make word lists of words that you save so you can look for those words again?
only in my head...
only in marty's head!
Well that must be nice to be able to do hurshy
etna, etui, ywis, lwis, aurei, uraei, naoi, naos...
Oh lol. wrong context
tee hee
iwis, etwee

prao, proa, tael, haet, haen
hisn

oh, missed it :)
toea, tinea, terai, tenia
and serai
stoae stoai
Greek is such a wonderful font of babblets.
from there to here, from here to there, funny words are everywhere
serein
from far to near, from near to far, my what a lot of babblets there are!
I think crwth has to win the babblet title though
i dunno, fremd is right up there
but crwth has no vowels. well, only kind of
the w is a vowel, just not in english, lol
don't ya love welsh
hisn just makes no sense
what IS hisn?
not sure actually
i always think of it as a cable network...
like nesn
lets look
hello, could someone give me stats on the i?
ir4/5
hisn /ˈhɪzən/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[hiz-uhn] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –pronoun Nonstandard. his (def. 2). Also, his'n. [Origin: 1350–1400; ME hysene; cf. hern2]
thanks
LOL
so it's just ... southern dialect?
well, older than that i guess
and how did an N get shoved on the end?
instead of an s.
like hern is instead of hers, and hisn is instead of his.
i guess yesm will be next to be added to the dictionary
who knows!
i need an E. from the left E. i have make money, arab ruler, and give off.
ugh laundry
wonder if wysiwyg is a proper word yet
eu7
bother.
its a rock. that should give you the ending
ok I need some br clues,
yes, thank you.
now i have 3-1-1-1
have you got br7, tossed about ideas?
and the non-past-tense of it, and the person who does it?
I had br7, the non past but not the person that does it
4 more brs to go
any c7?
not that i've found
no c7s for me
more than one of any of: w7, m7, t7?
got 2 m7
wow yall are ahead of me
aHA
a foolish oversight.
i can imagine
are there any bru words?
ummm... atch, i thought you said you HAD the ones i clued.
bRu :P
yes, bru... tossed about ideas...
oh didn't realize that was the clue!
is that the set that looks like noise in french?
probably... trying to remember noise...
got bru/5 thanks :)
down to 1-1-1, 2 r's and a t!
row row row your boat gently down the stream merrily merrily merrily merrily life is but a dream!!
oh just ignore that, that was my daughter being stupid
pet pet pet your cat, gently on the head, meowily meowily meowily meowily, make sure they're well fed
funny hurshy
how many bre words are there?
and i didn't even make it up just now. i actually sing that.
my cat would agree
no song is safe from being turned into a song about cats
Hurshy, that cat in Las Vegas which pooped on daughter's comfortor yesterday, pooped on the freshly coverd one today. Any suggestions?
is it not machine washable, inge?
not any that are socially acceptable lOL
hurshy the cat??
no, the comforter!
The cover, yes. But why would the cat repeat something it had never done before? Illness?
oh, i see. well has anything else changed?
because its being a brat, because something has changed and it is displeased, because the bed smells of something
once a cat gets a good idea, it will repeat if it continues to think it is a good idea. it COULD be illness, but not necessarily. is it eating and drinking normally?
yes it smells of cat poop
smelling of cat poopis a guaranteed way to get them to poo there more
re 8 please
Yes, it could smell of cat poop. She did put it in the sun for several hours. Dad suggested a plastic cover over teh bed when owner is not home
has she moved the litterbox recently, or changed brands of litter? anything at all new, not nec related to the litterbox even...?
plastic cover is a good idea. I'd suggest maybe the cat just did it once, then thought hey! this is a good idea (for whatever strange reason)
she has a new lap top and falls asleep on the living room floor more often,
other suggestions: a) keep the litterbox very clean. praise and reward the cat when it uses the litterbox.
b) get a cat genie so it is easier to keep an ever-clean litterbox.
br5/20?
keep it short, harp
I am reading all your suggestions to her. Who knows what will work, first she needs to go to the laundry, I guess
c) try a pet-keep-off spray on the bed
and keep the covers absolutely clean of cat poo smell
after d) the woolite pet stain remover & odor reducer
thanks
e) keep the bedroom door shut - if the cat goes elsewhere that's not litterbox, then cat is def upset about something.
ok 1 more b word, I have 1 be, 3 bre, 7 bri, 3 bru and 4 bu, what am I missing?
bu5?
bu5/16, yes
you need another bre
4 total bre words
so I have bre 4/7; bre 4/6 and bre5/6
the bedroom happens to be this cat's territory. Is he complaining that daughter is not in the room as much as usual???
f) if she catches cat crouching as if to poop, swiftly move cat to litterbox
there are two br5/16
could someone clue the bu5?
you never know inge, but selectively changing things can help narrow down the problem.
could be. cats will show their displeasure
harp, hat for hear spelled funny
hat for head*
hm, must cogitate
you want to work with the cat, but mostly let it know who's boss, too. cinder had trouble adjusting to cat genie, had to be shut in bathroom with it for a few days. nobody LIKED the situation, but that's not the most important thing. eventually got it so she would used the cat genie unless there was a bathmat available, so i just started keeping the bathmats hung over the shower rail when not in use.
the two br7?
a compromise, as it were.
May I please have a clue for the Bu 6 ?
yes harp, and there are 2 Kristine
daughter is on way to laundry room, comforter is put away during her absence. Next chapter in a few hours I suppose
um ok dont have either
May I please have a clue foir the 1st ?
one br is the past tense , the other is the doier
what inge said
*doer, agent,
got em ty
could i get more help with the br7?
br 7 build on br5/16, one is past tense, the other is the agent
the two bre5/16s, one is what people do with dogs to make them AKC approved, what's the second?
does anyone have the point total?
anagram/homonym, atch
first br 5 is an anagram of the second
2429
thankee inge
thanks inge, got the last b word!
yw
there are 3 br5/16, another one near the end of the list
aha, something i thought i had put but hadn't got in!
ok 1 more e word from the bottom left, any help please?
the tird br : br + vowel + he, she, **
that leaves a t5/12.
i thought it wouldn't take that one yesterday?
oh, no, maybe i'm thinking of tence.
te 5: the third ecclesaistical hour?
are there any ew words?
loads of ewwww words!
no, but do you have the eu word Atch
lol
lol
I walked right into that one didn't I?
speaking of yesterday, makes me think of more babblets: tenace, tenrec, tanrec, tanioc
I have 1 eu word, is that the only 1 or is there more than one eu word?

wow fmitch! do i have to pay you?
Liz - the sloes are ready here, too. I've been picking loganberries, raspberries, blackberries and a few early plums this afternoon.

LOL not yet nut, just spreading the news :)
what do you do with sloes? we have them in Montana but I've never picked them
yes Jac we collected blackberries too
ooooo! I didnt know that! ok, I'm sloe gathering tomorrow then :)

what is a sloe? i've only ever heard it turned into an adj describing eyes.
ooo I love blueberries
Liz - that's what Mum does with the sloes, too.
sloes are really bitter berries from the blackthorn bush
hurshy, it's the juniper berry,
like a baby damson
Im off to JAcs house then down to Ata to help with the picking.
what color are they?
then nip over here in a boat FM and pick some here
hurshy they are bluey black with purple/red ish juice
FMitch - wait another week and then I'll need help with the bumper crop of golden plums and conference pears.
an invitation I couldn't refuse, thanks liz
been picking wild plums here for a few weeks, blackberries are ripe, sloes and damsons are ripe
that will help me to picture sloe eyes then, lol :)
its starting to resemble a fruit salad in here today lol

Hi Haz- welcome
Hi Haz....
hi haz!
Thank you - I've waved goodbye to my visitors, so can babble happily....
oh got it thank you done with the f's finally
Heloo Atalante and Flask!
visitors? did you bake vast quantities of desserts?
No, just the one. Mint cheesecake seemed to go down well.
mmm the best one!
It looks pretty and I somehow managed to get the exact shade of green to match the aero bar on top.
impressive
Sadly, no-one else seemed to notice, but I sort of congratulated myself.
Although the wise woman would have noted down just how much colouring to use.
awww! they obviously didnt admire enough before digging in
takes the fun out of it next time
cu 6/24 clue
That's true, Atalante, I bet Nigella doesn't measure either.
of course not! she just flings
I wouldn't like to be the one cleaning the kitchen after she has flung the food about.
i'm sure she pays someone handsomely to do it
Probably, I can't see her getting stuck into the fairy liquid.
thats why a multimillionaire husband is useful
now that's the kind of attention to detail I admire... matching the colour of an Aero bar... :)
Some people would just tell me to get a life.....
I got some free Nigella recipe cards in the Times yesterday... decidedly underwhelmed...
these things are important
Does she expect you to have all sorts of exotic things to hand?
there is one nigella recipe that I couldn't live without. the rest I dont care about
I suppose it keeps me happy, Atalante, and prevents me from wandering the streets.
the last un 5/20, please
quite the reverse... very basic... the main message seems to be that we should be cooking food from scratch, rather than eating ready made meals of take aways... which I support...
un dim***
still, the recipes aren't the main point...
cu 6/20 ??? anyone
ruru, is that dim sum? sorry, don't get it
done it again... started Babbling, only to realise that my stomach thinks my throat's been cut (where did that expression come from?)... back in a short while...
it is like dummy
It's talk of Nigella that's done it.
got it Bich?
no ruru
dimw**
thanks so much

That reminds me of Basil Fawlty trying to mime the horse's name.
Afternoon/Evening and happy Labour day? weekend across the pond.
Hello Fmitch - had a good day?
Excellent thanks, how was the luncheon?
it went fine, thanks.

That was not a nice thing to say Dr1965 - you're in Ca aren't you, can you tell me what time it is please where you are, save me looking for a clock on the internet.
I might email you a few :)
be7 - add the subject of a detective novel.
11:14 EST
it would be 11:15 PDT actually
Or what the police are dedicated to fighting.
11:14 am, PDT
and I'm back from lunch/cleaning!
*returns with tuna salad*
Thanks both am aiming to call 2 old friends and break the long silence that time zones and life interrupted
is 8 hours back, fm
How wonderful FM- hope it goes well
I should remember having worked for US Co's for so long :)
Will you tell them about babble and the strange people you now know?
Thanks Dr I am just hoping that the phone numbers are still valid
'strange' ...can't think who you mean...
Hi all. I am back from work--I saw just 4 sick kids, none terribly ill.
Not to mention the words. I dare you to try some of them out!
LOL yes Haz they knew I was nuts years ago.
certainly not present company Haz
I exempt you all from the strange people FMitch knows.
Hi sherb and Scrabbler
recruit them... we always need fresh babblers...
what an odd word that be7 is.......thanks for clues!
Hi Scrabs
You're welcome, Flask.
anyone know what the 9 starts with?
can someone help with the e words on the top E
I have some strange Bs... and I still need three more...
a version of enough...
un9 cybernan.
Nan- u
the nine begins with un
un 9/96
ty -- hadn't noticed the un letter combo!
ec4/6 - a colour, being an anagram of what doctors seek to find for their patients.
finally got the be7...thanks
nan u isn't that what mork said on the mork and mindy show ? :)
anyone have the cu6/24?
Haz, thank you, have that one, what about the other 4 from that same E?
YEs it is Fm... I loved that show!
LOL me too but don't tell everyone :)
no cu 6 yet
en5/10 - en plus consumed food
en5/12 - to make someone accustomed - en plus what you put funeral ashes in, changing the final consonant for a vowel
Then make it descriptive for en6/24
I'm looking for the cu6 now.
cu6 - like a sub-vicar, one vowel changed
It sounds like an advert for a patent medicine!
ty atalante
Top row is greyed out, whoop-dee-doo.
Yea Scrab
grats scrab!
what is a sub vicar?
that's good... (but there are only 8 words there)
woot Scrabs
Yes, sherb, but with small steps I will finish by tonight.
(...and wait till you get to the Bs...)
It's a post in the Church of England - the word could be formed by adding a ceremony to the cu, in the case of the sub-vicar, the first vowel is used.
I need 11 more B's.
stumped on cu/6
<------- stuck on the Bs...
which Bs do yall have, I have em all and can help with the rest
cu plus a reworking of either a ceremony, a rubber thing you use on a car wheel.
got it, thanks Haz
I feel a spell of Corrie might help me find my last 6 words... back in 30...
You're welcome.
LOL You give the weirdest clues Haz
hey, they work! :P
Is that a compliment?
sure
You give great clues, Hazel! They make me think.
The lone A word??
Thank you Scrabbler!
a + opp. old
Ru- you used a word
The lone a word would make you look at things in a fresh light.
NM, I am a dope.
fi, you have mail :)
how many EN words are there?
There are four en words.
You may be missing en4 which incorporates the present time.
BBL--off to watch tennis and stain wood trim.
enow
BOO
stupid boxe
See you Scrabbler
THanks Ata, just saw it coming in through the firewords *grin*
yes I was missing that one Haz, thank you
oh wait scrabbler!
Congratulations FM.
You're welcome, atchleya.

there are 3
thanks, Right am going to try calling friend #1 ... deep breath :)
good luck!
so then I'm missing only 1, wa/4 what moons do, and wa/4 what you hope to get away with when a cop pulls you over
You can do it, FMitch.
what is she calling a friend about and why is it stressful?
found it, nm
She's calling someone she's lost contact with for a while.
clue for the first te 5/12
that does give one butterflies
And she's going to have to confess about babble and the strange people she associates with.
ohhhhh even worse
ruru, the clue inge gave was the third ecclesiastical hour
Though there are no strange people here..
Hey Haz! I am v. strange
Normal is too boring
sorry act I am not religious
Neither am I, I googled it :P
it is sort of hard when people ask you what you do for fun, and you say, "well, i play this online word game..."
Rats, he must have moved, got ansaphone with someone else. OK friend #2, fingers crossed.
(In case I get told off for attributions of strangeness that are not merited.)
Okay, try the next one.....
are there more than 3 DR words?
oh wait dumb question nm
very few of my friends understand how I can spend hours at this game --- think we're all a bunch of we 5/20 nerds?
oooh, alRIGHT, TWO mysteries tonight!
They don't understand the power of the grid and the lure of the log.
maybe the grip of the grid...
if you like alliteration
or we5/20 n4/6 alt sp?
the grip of the grid, the lure of the log, the charm of the chat...
Hello all - just got back from overight trip to mountains (normal 2,5hr drive) stuck in roadworks traffic jam for a further 1hr - spoilt the w/end
atchleya - has anyone let you into the secret of lickety's list yet?
no they haven't
there's a secret and no one told me?!
That's a shame, ursh - hopefully when you unwind the good stuff will come back.
the first 122 went really well --- think I need a break before the big struggle with the rest!
It will answer your questions as to how many dr b's etc. Have a look at the bottom of this page under friends of babble
i am going to go lay in my hammock and read. ttfn :)

No San Jose babblers, slips forther into sadness... :( That will teach me not to call old friends for so long.

Hullo jilli, Haz, everyone. Happy gloomy Sunday to you all
Hello hetty - it was mostly gloomy here today as well but cleared up in the afternoon.

hi
cul8r sand

re +de 6/30
Hullo FMitch. I got so excoited about Jilli's wedding pic I went to her profile and blow me if I didn't get shut out of babble as a result! But it was worth the agro, Jilli, you lovely bride you.
re8/60 - it means to conquer your enemies once again. Look for a word in the grid that means a loss in war, and put the re in front.
Wasn't she just hetty, nice to see you :)
Haz have you triumphed over the words yet?
thanks again Haz, you supercluer you!
You're welcome, jillibus.
Yes, Fmitch, it's done.
lol Hetty!

There are four, Atalante.

Hello liz!
ty :)
any clue for the de6...not the one that means to beat in battle
You're deserving of a break/rest, FMitch. Did Mrp enjoy the e-mail?
Hi Haz
Well done, FMitch -- maybe a nap now?
de6/30 - being more skilful/swift of action
Ooof I still have 61 left
I'm going to try and make some icons from it, Haz :):)
de 6*30 is to be more de 4/8 preceding it
hi all, how many words today please|?
163
Don't know haven't heard back from her yet. Dear jilli it is almost 9pm
That'll be great, Atalante.
So a looooong nap, FM?
Thanks for the clue but my mind refuses to see the answer.
thanks montreal
pad, beating your opponent again...
re plus a word that sounds like de things on the end of de legs.
yw swa
Oh one last thing Haz/Ata - I signed up for an OU Course last night, starts in October! Yes jilli, nice long duvet dream and then client meetins in the morning.
oh wow! doing what?
Oh, good for you!
I am halfway through an OU degree FM
Intro to the humanities, lovely intertwined subjects are covered.
What's OU?
oh wonderful!
is that A103 FM? I did that first
That sounds great, you'll enjoy it, I'm sure.
Liz can coach you.
LOL Haz
haz...still having problems getting that de6/30
help
Jili - OU is the Open University
Oh really liz!! yes thats the one - we may have to have a quick phone chat at some point just so I can find out what you thought. What are you doing now - the full degree?
de6/30 - if you have de4/8 - then it is the comparative for it.
Thanks Liz -- and just what is that? Online studies?
Thanks for
Yes I did the Intro to the Humanities first, then most people I knew went on to do the enlightenment course but I went into the Art History courses after that
jilli OU is The Open University qualifications recognised across industry etc and you work at it from home.
got it thanks...duh
stumped on de6/30 not the de6/30 we de + whats on the bottom of your legs
yes Jili..
Oh, what a good idea, FM!
FM if you want to talk about it my email is tobycat@cwgsy.net
Thanks Liz I'll make a note of that.
de6/30 can either be the loss (sounding like the things on the bottom of your legs, but spelt differently) or de6/30 -being more skillled especially in something like sewing.
Thanks for that but I didn't accept it as a word. Idiot me I should be able to second-guess enable. Feel
I loved that course FM - get in touch anytime :)
You'll learn Pat!
and on that note, I sha bid you all adieu before brain gets over stimulated and then I won't sleep. Nighty night and Happy Babbling.
can sum 1 giv me sum words plz

Just when the Administrator goes, look what happens.
lol Haz :)
Looks like I am leaving just in time :) Play nicely now :)
yellow alert
we'll behave you can trust us... honest ;-)
atchleya - de, the letter after e, then first three letters of a seabird.
ewwwwwwwwww
Or, de4/7 - structured in the same way as the opposite of right, when used in directions.
I love your clues Haz they always make me think
Sorry, de4/8 that should be.
Thanks Liz - I was told they were we5/20 earlier on!
*coughs* well, I didnt like to say LOL ... No really they are great
You've made me laugh!
oh I just noticed Spangle has gone all black and white! Is she being arty this evening?
:-)
Yes, it was all I could do to stop her putting on a beret and picking up a palette.
beret, cheap french camel cigarettes and a palette
Daughter's boyfriend took the picture a few days ago, she's been black and white and moody ever since.
I can picture it now.... just dont let her cut her ear off or anything dramatic like that now will you
and a stall in Montmartre
No smoking, Atalante, Spangle knows the rules.
it goes with the beret though LOL and a dodgy french accent
next thing you know she'll be wearing a string of onions around her collar
As practised by the inhabitants of Allo Allo.
Evening everyone :-)
lol yes exactly!
hi Katie
Hello katie.
has everyone had a good weekend?
OK I have to go now before my dogs start talking French too....happy babbling all :)
Not in terms of the weather, but fine otherwise, Katie. how are you?
Bye Liz. A demain!
Au revoir Spangle et Haz *double kisses on either side of face* lol
Bonsoir!
I'm good thanks Haz, just a weekend pottering round the house but has been lovely - now tipping down with rain again!
*poof* said with a French accent naturellement!
Typical!
*pouffe*
it's still the weekend here and Monday is Labour Day, a holiday
fantastic jillibus, we don't have a bank holiday until christmas now
And you don't wear white thereafter?
we have one every month except February
I knew I should have emigrated to Vancouver!!
Haz, that's a city rule -- here in paradise we wear what we want. Our summer was so miserable some of us are being stubborn.
I had heard it about Seattle, so that figures.
come and liv e with us here in paradise, Haz
Our weather and Seattle's are much the same although we get less rain usually.
you too, Katie
Now there's an invitation!
I second that!
You're very kind!
ugh, Haz, can you get de/5 clues again?
If I didn't live in England the only other place I would go is Canada - as you say paradise :-) Spent 6 weeks there last year (in two lots of 3 weeks) still miss it
de5/16 - when scores are even in tennis
de5/12 - to put someone off doing something
scores are even at tennis.... I thought that was love
It's when it's 40 all.
love is means nothing - HMMMMMMM
de, then rearrange the letters which sound like queue.
That is, three letters, used by the director to indicate action, but rearrange them.
ok got that one, now the put someone off doing sommat
OR, ace, de***, trey (in cards)
To put someone off, remove one letter from de6/30, the more skilful one.
I don't have the de/6 skillful one
only to beat an opponent
Okay, we're going to get this if it's the last thing I do!
please, b/c it's bugging me that I can't get it!
de4/8 - d plus the last three letters of the opposite of right, when used in a direction.
de6/30 - make it a comparative, by adding the title of a popular hospital drama, known by its initials.
got it
Amen!
no, got de4/8 I meant
defter
You've got it!
bah boxes
sorry I'm so de4 but with an a today :P
You've been at this for hours, you're probably tired out!
likely, I'm just determined to get all the words today but not sure it's gonna happen
lunchtime for me -- back soon
Don't worry about it - don't make it an endurance test.
51 to go, so who knows what could happen
Honestly, just do it for as long as you enjoy it. It took me weeks to get all the words for the first time.
do you keep a word list of random words you made that you may not remember?
No, I'm not that organised. You just build up practice and remember odd words that keep appearing.
you quickly get to know a lot of the weird ones and they become more "normal"
yay fireworks
And you try to avoid saying WORDS IN THE LOG,ATALANTE.
lol
ooooooh true! :)
I'm still learning the whole word in chat thing, but it's because I think I'm typing in the other box!
Another piece of advice is that there are plenty of online resources you can use. Apart from Lickety's list, I often use www.morewords.com where you can type in the letters you know, it produces lists of words.
www.a2zwordfinder.com too
Because we really don't know all the words!
like type in "def" and if gives all the words that start with that/with that in it?
I used to love a2z
Yes, you can type in de - - - and it comes up with all the words. It's up to you to find the required one.
Right, time for me to be off. Back tomorrow!
Byee!
bye dear!
bye Haz
bye Haz
bye haz
help please un5/20 ;-)

ty Nan
*shakes head in bemusement*
btw... last month after one puzzle I was ruminating the fact that ramen is still not a word over a cup of noodles... this month I may be ruminating the fact that reuben is not a word over a sandwich.. lol
whats a reuben?
It a type of sandwich made with corned beef, I believe
yes
saurkraut, meat on rye oh and cheese
and sauerkraut and thousand island dressing and swiss cheese
oooo yum
obviously lots of variations
Hi folks. I'm back for my final 25 words. I'm on the main pc now and the scanner's up and running. Yippee!
on my way -- good luck everyone -- back at the flip :)
they are delic, I dont care for rye bread so I swap that out, but I love them
Hi jacula
hello Jac
Hi Jac and Ren... bye Nan
OK back with wine having fed cats & kittens & hamster (all in different rooms) and hung the washing out - the last 18 words will now be done!!
Hi cyber... and 'bye, it seems.
a reuben is my favorite, with a bit of sauerkraut, corned beef, cheese, and dressing, on toasted dark rye
buried
Ah, katie's just reminded me - I need to put the bunnies and guineas to bed and then look for the cat.
sorry sorry sorry!!
Erm... not by saying the word! LOL
BRB *disappears up the garden path*
That's a relief Jacula - don't mind helping out with the pets but don't want to contribute to their death!!
Jacula, thanks for joining Ata and me in the wedding picture galery. Didn't anyone else keep a picture of that event?
jilli did!
What a fantastic picture inge, jacula's is great too :-)
oh I missed jilli's
clue for fe20 please?
and someone else did too ... can't remember who it was
fe5/20 sounds like a fight between families
I'm back.
is the cu 6/24 built off the 5/14 before it?
animals all still alive I hope Jac!!
Not exactly, katie. Same start then stick 'a cuppa' in between the last 2 letters.
Yes, Katie. LOL.
Here I am, back from lunch -- hi all
Hi, jilli.
sandbox - if you have falled out with someone, past tense
fireworks!
Ty Katie and Sandbox
Well done, Ata.
YAY ata!!!
hey dr sorry so late is saying hi - i was reading ata's profile - women power - dumb men
ummm Katie I think that was for someone else.. lol
that was hard work today
it certainly was sandbox, sorry :-)
ohyes, please do all read my profile. is important
its ok ren.. I read it earlier too
congrats ata - I was looking at jilli's great photo
flosey put her wedding pic up too
Aloha Babblers!
Hi, Fran.
there -- see Fran's wonderful picture!
hello and good day /evening fellow babblers
HI Fran!
Looks idyllic, Fran.
hi jac! saw your pic, so sweet. :-)
hi fran
hi jilli!
hi elder!
hello elder
hi fran!
Fran, brilliant picture
thanks jac, it was a beautiful morning.
hi ata!
it's hi time.......
thank you katie!
So FranMag posted hers as well. That is four out of hundreds of babblers. Maybe themes for icons are no longer appropriate?
Wow Fran! You got quite the welcome today
had a peep at all your icons today - wonderful pictures of your special day
there are others inge, chic posted hers also.
hi DR!
I like the themes but never seem to have time to upload the images in time :-)
has anyone found the 8th re5/16 word and if so please could i ask for a clue - thank you
inge -- I count 6 at least -- yours, mine, fran's, ata's, jac's and flosey's. I love the icon themes and learn so much from them -- just wish more babblers would join the fun
if i didn't have this on the computer already i would have had to post something else too. i don't have a scanner, plus all our pictures are in storage.
Fran, just joined goodread.com, how do I link with other babblers on it?
hmm, i need a bunch of re5/16s! only have one.
inge - Maybe a lot of people are either unmarried, or divorced like me? It might be distasteful or painful for them to put wedding pics up. Ex-hubby and I are still friends and co-parents but it's not like that for many people.
katie, i'm on there as FranMag, Jellen, FeatherBee are there too.
Dumb question... where do you find the themes?
if you search for my "name" and add me as a friend, you can go to my friends and add the others.
DR - they're in Babbler's handbag. Link of Lickety or on Angelsong's page.
I've turned into bridezilla, everyone will see my photos when the time comes!! (must remember to send the non refundable deposit to the photographer!!)
On Lickety's page, Dr -- or if you have BabbleExpert, in Resources
Fran do you want clues for some of the re5/16
I do, elder, if Fran doesn't!
that's okay elder, i haven't taken the list out. thanks!
ok
awesome katie!
katie, what is your name on goodreads? i'll add you
yes, Jacula, we talked about that last night already. Someone mentioned that clowns was an even less desired theme, and casued much distress
I've gone with KatieW ;-)
Oh yes. I hate clowns, inge. Like ventriloquists' dummies, they give me the creeps.
I wouldn't mind but katie isn't my name, it just seemed easier to put it when I was leaping into the big bad world of chat on the internet
I haven't joined goodread yet but, when I do, I will be Jacula (unless it's already in use).
got your friend request and you. :-) all my friends are babblers, so make sure you add them too.
katie - LOL. Jacula isn't quite my real name either.
i'll be right back
te5/12?
te 5/12 has to to with the third ecclesiastical something or other
came back on ages ago needing 18, still need 15!! must go and get some words!
sorry Im Jewish.. another clue maybe?
I've joined goodreads and send a friends request to Franmag.
in music te 5 is a third interval
te 5 is like te 6/21 without the i
thatworks.. ty Inge
22 left here and it seems a shame to break out a list at this stage. *scans grid again*
thanks, inge!
could I have a clue for the re 8/60 please
off to the kitchen to invent supper, BBL
katie - re8 = to beat again (say in a football match)
Other side will admit de6/30.
I don't see a te6/21
See you, inge.
Thank you jacula
jlli - I've got 2 ti 6/21s so far but not a te6/21. However, not using list so there could be one.
I'm using Lickety and there is no te6/21 so I don't get inge's clue for the te5/18
ti6/21 that breaks down into te5/12 rhymes with to puncture (as in ear lobes).
ah, tyvm jac!
y/w, jilli.
I'm stuck on the re 6/27 - I hate re words!!!
Why isn't 'mewier' a word? Some cats mew more than others!;-)
thanks jac, i didn't have the te5/12
do you have the flame again katie?
*F*I*R*E*W*R*O*K*S*!!!!
katie -- I hate 'em too and have very few
Sorry I can't post either one of my weddings photo's, my scanner is not working. I have opted for a pic of my niece's wedding. (scanned when it was working)
katie re6/27 is to set the gun off again or maybe to sack an employee again?
hi exwren!
AAAHHHHHHHH - pass me the fish!!!! Thanks Franmag
yay sandbox!
i m so inexperienced :s
Hi Wrennie! Just read your bio - you're STILL beautiful.
Congrats Sandbaox

*Sandbox
Well done, sand.
ty
lovely, lovely ex-wren
That was when I was slim and pretty 40 years ago!
Wrennie - did you save your pictures to disc? If so, you can still post them.
mine is when I was slim and pretty 60 years ago!
Wrennie - I know (about the 40 years' ago) but you are still you!
LOL, jilli.
jac, was going to comment earlier that if anyone else used jacula at goodreads, they're an impostor!
Fran - true. However, I have tried for my net name on a couple of sites before (game sites) and found it taken.
Hello all.
how dare they jac! :-)
hi scrabs!
Hi, Scrabbs & Callie.
My first marriage was in Malta in 1957, and my second was in 1989, before the age of digital camera's. If I ever get my scanner working again, I will do so
Callie is inhaling her salad. I am inhaling pasta.
hi scrab
jac, I've found mine taken too, plus other names I made up such as implan or lanimp (after our last 2 gt danes) and they were taken too -- howcum?
Joanne, how are you and your monkeys doing today?
lol
hi scrab
still here
mited
Scrabbs - I have the perfect wedding icon for you: http://tinyurl.com/38k7rd
see
jilli - I guess we're not as 'original' as we think we are? *shrugs*
I worked this AM, have been on call since, shoveled and raked mulch, filled the birdfeeder, watched the birds (I saw a hummer) and chipmunks, watched tennis, read the newspaper, painted + stained inside......but I still have so much to do!!
omg scrab i'm tired now just reading that
TY, Jac--I will try to make it my icon now.
Check out the icon I gave you, Scrabbs.
Oh, you did! LOL
My "to do" list is neverending.
aww, how cute jac!
how many words have you all got
i need 23 words loll
that icon is adorable, jac
Scrabbs - Is that my 'to do' list you've got there? ;)
I have 42 to get -- not concentrating properly - lol!
21 to go here...
i need 57
Jac--the pic "isn't in the right format" to be an icon.
66 to go for me
Oh dear, Scrabbs. I'll have to find another.
it's a jpeg, i wonder why it won't take it.
is that good for my first go or am i really bad at this
fe5/20 please?
that's really good for your first grid loll
Scrabbs - try this one: http://tinyurl.com/2qpjgm
is it called .jpg or .jpeg? I've had trouble uploading .jpeg files before. and .JPG files
it's .jpg ata
Ata - most of my pics are jpegs.
loll - that's excellent for a first grid.
how annoying!
flask, start with a ongoing family fight and add an E before the end.
Ok down to the last two, could I have clues for Be 7/44 & re 5/12
Ata - No, I meant most of my pics are in that format and I don't have any trouble uploading them unless they're 'too big'.
katie, be + ***** and punishment
it's either. .jpg is PC, jpeg is mac, I've heard, but both work on my PC
yes, sorry, I was "how annoying" for Fran
i still need too many RE's katie.
thanks Fran....found it myself...was going in wrong direction........
Thank you Franmag :-)
im going now byee im well tired after all that spellin
katie - re5/12 is to do a race again (or show a TV programme again)

Goodnight all!

congrats flask
bye loll! welcome to babble, see you soon.
'Night Flask and well done.
night flask!
bye flas and loll
that was meant to be flask
ur6 is the tube that your "pee" goes through
ur6 = the tube your wee gets to your bladder through.
The tube it comes out of your bladder through sounds similar.
lol
jilli - at least you didn't call her 'Flash'. LOL
OK, is my new icon there?
although she did leave rather quickly.
Right - I'm diving into the grid now to get finished.
Fireworks - and my first video in expert :-)
yay katie!!!!
Yes, it is Scrabbs. Aw, it's sweet.
Well done, Katie.
YAY katie!!!
someone please tell me to stop looking for F words.
Yippee, it took a while, but it's there--isn't it cute?
*Dives headllong into grid. S-P-L-A-S-H -!*
scrabbler!!! now it's harder to pick you out though. but anyway, i have a question.
great one, scrabs!
it is also very appropriate :-)
Fran, stop looking for F words.
Go ahead, hursh
thank you scrabs.
does anyone need clues before I go to bed?
when i was a child, i always used to pick fuzz off blankets and sweaters and eat it, and my parents were very worried over this. were they right or was it just a good source of fiber?
not for me katie! thanks!
Probably a good source of fiber, hursh.
hursh - it's called 'pica' when you eat inappropriate things. I used to eat paper and also the lumps out of flour & paste glue.
Am back...just looking at the lovely wedding pics..and reading the stories with them..........don't you just love weddings?!?!?...lol....I know I do!
my sister eats chalk
Right I'm off, thank you all for a lovely evening, see you tomorrow :-)
I'd like to stop looking for R words and will when I get the last re6/21...and hints?
jilli, is it re + a clock tells ****?
night katie!
i think i enjoyed my sister's wedding - not the one this summer, the one years ago... but other than that, no, i do not love weddings.
thank you fran! Good riddance to the Rs!
'Night, Katie.
thanks sc, i'll tell them you said so!!
Good for you, Jill!
yw jilli!
i still need 5 Rs
My mother called and is on one of her rants....
2 Rs left here...
Oh dear, Scrabbs... earplugs, dear?
An 88 yr old guy was driving down the street and crashed into the back of my nephew's parked Jeep. My mother is rambling on and on...
It's not a conversation as mych as an interrogation.
Any help with the last 3 br's?
scrab, they have to do with sound, or French noise
Darn again--I should have learned French.
the idea was br7 about for a time before being accepted
or rumour
Thanks, jilli!
Got 'em! br5 is also a medical term when a sound is heard over a blood vessel
interesting, scrab!
bu5--is it related to the bu6's?
alt spelling for a big onery guy Scrab
those were new words for me, thanks peeps!
16 to go and I think I am stuck, going to take a quick break then try again
Jill--like when someone has atherosclerosis in their carotid arteries then you hear a br5
ah, chemistry equipment
thanks mel!
and that's French for noise or sound, scrab!
I learned something from Babble. Wow!
did my clue help?
Is bu5 the chemistry equipment word?
Sort of, Hursh, as I knew it would be past tense
yes, scrab
that's the clue mel gave
hursh, it helped me to know there was a past tense! thanks
I got bu5 with the chem clue.TY
Can't believe I've only just noticed the past tense of High Plains Dr7/44!
And now just found the spooky 'ee'! *sighs*

Does that person have underwe** on for that mission, Hursh?
Thanks for the un9 clues!

ROFL scrabs
lol ty for un9 clues
Thanks, Fran. Will check back there in a bit.
I sent you a friend request on goodreads, Jac.
Are we going in for a mass mooning session now we are all un9??

Hi, Home

pam, who amongst us isn't weird? how much time do we spend obsessed with this wonderful game?
Stream, look at Hellp above the chat, then check ouf Angelsong under Friends of Babble under the Tile Stats
I had the bummer of an occurrence today. I am not much for cleaning--I am messy, not dirty, and have a clean kitchen, but vacuuming and the like... let's just say it ain't me. And, it annoyed the hell out of my ex. Anyway, I vacuumed today, and I got a banger of a headache. I can't win for trying!
ri5 please
LOL, dorens.
I am not obsessed with the game, just the people... Sure, I keep telling myself that...
vacuuming can cause headache. no question about it.
re5/12 is showing something again on TV
ok pam. so, being obsessed with the chat is more or less we5 than being obsessed with the game?
ri 5: more past ripeness

Didn't see what stung me as it was on the top of my head and stung me as I brushed it off. I then, after saying, 'OW!' almost karate-chopped my Mum's arm! Thank Gawd I didn't hit her in the eye; she'd come round to show me her 'Dracula' eye after bashing it the day before and getting a blood blister hanging over the edge that then receded to a red where the white should be.
Congrats, labecs!!

Hi Feather!

lbd - male gigolo. LOL

thx jac and ibd
monkey, more of the de4.8 above it.
de6/30 = more de4/8. Quicker, more accurate, more expert.
oh yeah, he just over-ate the other day. greedy little piggy!
jac, i couldn't think of the rest of the title, thanks
thank you Jac!!!

button, start with a family quarrel, then add an E before the end.
nrkii!
hi dawg!
aloha fran dear! what a great pic!
oh no, i wasn't worried over that! i'm used to baby puke. at this stage, i know it's usually just over feeding or a gas bubble that got in the way.

heather, check out my profile in goodreads, a couple other babblers just joined also (yoink and katiew)
i've had to take an extended vacation from QP, nrkii, as this laptop doesn't have a mouse and i don't want to lose time over the stupid touchpad. i'll be back when i get back to school!
Joanne, do you have past tense of the billiard stick?
yeah, i saw yoink on jac's profile, and asked him. off to yours now fran
chat -- too -- fast -- head -- spinning....
i want to be named pippa!
my last one...dr5/14?
lol stid
feather, it is harder with the touchpad -- my scores always worse on weekends
Yeah! Got it Tha;nk You and the br 7/44?
button, start with a fight between families (think hatfields and mccoys) then put an E before the last letter. that's fe5/20
My last word was a ta5 that rhymes with rock star Dabid of the knife surname. He's a starman or maybe Ziggy Stardust.
i don't think i've ever "met" katiew.
Hursh - if it really turns you on I will call you Pippa/
monkey, either add a consonant after the dr4.5 or past tense of not wet
MM, dr5/14, add a consonant to the dr4/5, it's one letter off of the not wet word
hey everyone. i need some help. re6/21 (last one) and fe5/20...thank you!!!
thanks FRAN, got it
Pippa Passes was my most unfavourite poem at school -- icky-sweet
Hi all

yw button!
hi jilli! how's by you today?
FRAN...the points add up to 10...where does the extra ten come from?

Oh bugger! Soya isoflavanes my Mum gave me not working yet... Hot flush/flash. BBS, after I've gone ito the back garden and thrown all my clothes off.

lol thanks stid! hey fran. how are you?
night heather!
well, I had hoped to get to halfway before supper, but not this time. Back later wehn I can.
And how's by you, stidmama?
great penny!
FRAN, thanks,...I have been doing this for a over a year and I never new five letter words were doubled....thanks a heap
fe5/20, start with fight between the hatfields and mccoys then add an E before the last letter.
I've also just discovered the 'secret' of why all 'older' women either wear their hair up or have it cut short. It's nothing to do with not wanting to be long grey haired... the bavk of your neck needs cooling when a hot flush/flash arrives.
cu4 pleaseeee
I'd better scroll back and find out why Hurshy wants to be called Pippa...
AMEN Jac
awesome! thanks fran...fireworks!!!
button, glad to help! it helps with monkeying words. 6 letter words are tripled, etc.
yay penny!!!!
hi OHJ!
lol, jac! I've been struggling with the "to cut" or "not to cut" decision, and yes, mine is long and grey.
BBS
congrats pappou!
Jac -- lucky me -- never had a hot flash/flush -- hardly noticed menopause -- was too busy!
Urgent cooling needed!
joanne, perhaps you need cu4/9, cu + no **s, ands or buts
yay papou
thanks andree
jac, are you going to come back un9? :-)
fransssssss back to rescue me tyvm
all u oldtimers really have this down; can u help a newbie understand the E 1/5 stuff?
lol, fran :o)
of course, my hair was short at the time anyway...
i'll bbl. some work is calling my name :-(
i wish i could see some fireworks but ahh hell finishing is great
jilli, did you have morning sickness with your pregnancies?
welcome, stream
stream, welcome to babble
later penny!
it is the start of the word, the number of letters in the word and the point value of the that word.
we clue with the first two letters of a word, the number of letters/the number of points it's worth.
bye bye pappou
hi stream -- tr4/7 means a 4-letter word starting with tr and earning 7 points. Have a look at the Help above, then Lickety's link under Friends of Babble
if you haven't checked out angelsong's babble page and lickety's babble clues, the links are at the bottom of the page stream.
ty, all - will catch on in a century or 2
welcome stream, someone should warn you this is very addictive
fran -- I had morning nausea and couldn't stand the smell of bacon -- only one pregnancy tho
bye bye and good nite all tyvm all for all clues
bye bye joanne--take care
night joanne!!
bye joanne
ty and same to all
why, fran? Is there a relationship?
re8, please?
i see jilli, i was trying to see if no morning sickness means no hot flashes, of course with a sample of one it would be hard to know. :-)
fran, i could not tolerate even a sip of wine, tragic really.lol
eu help please?
nonnie, beat someone in a contest again.
well, I had no upchucking...
nrkii, it's a mineral of some sort, eu + consonant + ritual
ty, fran...that gave me two words I didn't have!
lol andree.
fRAN - i'M BACK UN EVERYTHINGED!
thanks fran!
oo -- nrkii back again? Yay!
ROFL jac! (averting my eyes)
yw nrk.
hi jilli
cool nonnie!
now I'm scared I might not be able to stay away....
brb
163 words, I are done! With that, I am off to bed. it was a long day. Have a great evening everyone!
I'm a total wreck! I have been doing this for 4 short days and tonight is the closest I've come. 34 to go Where is the 12 step program?
re 5/12 please
congrats lori and night night!
i actually took a 2 1/2 month break nrk. it's not that hard to stay away. i know how you did it now. :-)
nrk -- moderation in all things - *hysterical laughter*
nONNIE - PUT YOUR HAIR UP!(Don't cut it if you're a long-haired gal like me at heart). However, do be prepared for hair roots hurting like hell for a while after been ti4/5 up!
*steps in and offers hand to homeatlast* there there, dear ... the babbleholics session is just down the hall!
lol home
button, show on TV that you've seen already
I took a 12 month break.... I just went back on caffeine, and now I'm back on babble...
LOL home, you can do it. go! Go! Go! ***now i am really off to bed***
night Lori
LOL nrk! I don't think I have the will/desire to go that long without anything! (except all the things I have to because of allergies...)
sweet dreams Lori
night lori!
jac, I have been pulling it up and I like it, most of the time. But I have those days when I look in the mirror and think, Yuk! But I have to remind myself, I'd have those days even if it were short.
nrk -- SO GLAD you're back! You're such fun -- and I haven't needed the catheter since learning some self-control
stid, I went almost 8 years without caffeine
correlation between caffine and babble? lol
I am past halfway... now need the A word so I have my daily goal met.
jilli, ROFL, glad to hear it
If jilli is doing a survey re no morning sickness/no hot flushes?flashes I'm about to muck it up. 2 pregnancies and no sickness at any time of day during either.
Wow. NRK! that is amazing. But then, I always said you were an amazing woman!
stid -- over again
so you can start an4 tomorrow stid?
nice one fran
thanks Fran and Jill!
jac -- not guilty -- it was fran doing the survey
thanks nrk and yw stid. :-)
and that is my daily goal accomlish'ed... I think I shall now hit the list
If a poll is being taken... 2 pregos, mild morning sickness with both and now mild hot flashes with menopause.
once i started having night sweats about 12 years ago I started on HRT and haven't looked back
nrk, you'll be surprised how many new people there are here, especially in a year.
Ok I pulled myself together. Please help with br 7/44
Ha. got all the BRs including the medical ones!
this is an interesting survey!
Hi all
hi muse!!
hi muse
hi muse! look who's here! NRK!
hi Fran, jilli and stid!!
ah, ok...not night sweats I have had several times
brb, as I think I said a bit ago...
fran, I see that!
hi muse!
hi mymuse
AGAIN?? lol, you're on a roll nrkii
glad to see you again
Bs are buzzed off....
hi Andree, Nonnie!!
home, br7/44 is the past tense of br5/16, rhymes with fr***s and vegetables.
go stid go
My night flushes/flashes are waking me on the hour every bl**dy hour!
An, oh joy! I have a smear test at 4pm today.
how's the grid tonight?
the br5/16 means something in french, but i did not know it until today, especially since i studied japanese in high school and college and not french.
help with my last fe4/7... after the 4/8 I have things with toes, homonym of scared-state, and party
once i started HRT jac i have never had a night sweat and no hot flushes
pretty good muse.
Grid's fine and dandy, mymuse.
the last three BR words have to do with the pulse in the extremities I think
oh, the cheese, nm
hi Jac!!
C words conquered
nrk, you need the cheese
yeah stid, babbler told us what the medical meaning was, apparently it means noise in french?
yes, that makes sense
that was scrabbler for the medical sound
Last 3 br words may be beetter explained by saying it's an old name (Other than Bruno) for a bear. b + gin (Mother's R***!) then chance the last letter to the British breakfast drink first letter.
sorry, it was scrabbler that told us.
For br7/44 make it past tense and for b7/40 make it active - the one who does.
the first DE 6 please? have the de 4/5 that precedes
it's also a term for rumourmonging -- br***ing something around.
Fran - I got it through the medical route, but this is my other explanation for the word/s.
are you admitting de**** stid?
thanks FRan! on that one I was... now at 50 words and off to watch a recorded Dr Who. back later to finish (or at least try)
thanks all!
Thank you got that one. That is all the b's
de6 = to be beaten, stid. Or rather to beat in competition.
later stid!
come back stiddy!
See you again, stid.
cyl stid
8 to go, but laundry just buzzed so must take a break...
later nrk!
come back nrk!
brb, have to clean up the living room, kids have things strewn everywhere.
jilli - me and Fran (or should that me Fran and I, or Fran and myself) are here. What more could yuo desire??
jac, for you to say "Fran and I are here..." -- lol
Why can't I type 'you' at 2.33am?? LOL
opps I missed br 7/40
Me and Fran are here, jilli, so stop pining!
same reason I can't at that hour
Can I get a hint for the be7?
be7 = be + if you commit one, the police will arrest you.
be+ ***** and punishment
be+worse than a misdemeanour
Compound word, and a very silly one at that.. be + cr5/14.
hi ya lbd!
Thank you!!
fireworks! (okay, okay, I didn't get my laundry yet...)
and thanks!
whoooo hoooo NRKII

Babble rule (that I just made up): All knickers should be washed and pegged out to dry by 6am at the latest.
I'm going to have to go and pay attention to my chicken vol-au-vent with lobster mushrooms and snow peas -- back later -- xoxoxo
What the hell are snow peas?
howdee my big bad buddies
hi Gwen!
fi 6/30 please
those flat pods that come with Chinese food -- similar to mange-touts.
hi book
kind of like chick peas?
andree, wassup?
not at all like chick peas -- tender and green pods
Oh right, mange tout thingies. Don't like those. Prefer frsh peas from the pod.
but how can they be tender if they come out of the snow? LOL
Hate chick peas!
fi6/30 really tough
maybe because they are just baby peapods and so there's no peas?
fi6/30 - a nasty dog might be so.
jilli - can't see the point of eating pods with no peas.
thx mymuse and jac
o suddup, jac!!! - lol
thks for fi6/30 jac
y/w,Andree.
snow peas are delicious
No I won't. jilli. LOL
I meant shuddup -- and thanx for coming to my rescue andree!!!
Fresh peas from the pod are delish.
chick peas in a casserole or hommus is yummy
timer yelling -- so I'm shudding up!
those must be those pods that as so skinny they seem to have no peas, cuz the peas and so small. yes?
yes, book
ti 7/32?
Sorry , Andree - hate both. My daughter likes 'em though.
woohoo fireworks
yes book and they go really well in salads and chinese dishes etc
wtg ,cir;
congrats mcurlschool
yay mcurl
or mcurl
wtg curl
ti7/32 is a stupid childish word for more weary.

How childish we all still are that we actually got ti7/32! LOL
whoooo hoooo NONNIE
ty gwen and muse and to all those who gave wonderful clues! :o)
so, next question, what makes the boxes in Tile Stats grey out?
Stream - getting words is what does it.
tile gnome
back soon
those are the ones that are done
Any clue for the ur6? I know what it is supposed to be but just can't seem to find it.
when you finish all the words that start with that letter
But you knew that, didn't you??
ooooh, have to get them ALL, ;(
ur6 is the path from the kidney to the bladder. sorry to anyone eating
does anyone remember the site that was given a bit ago for word games?
S,okay Gwen. We were eating when listening to the latest Babblecat when hey were talking about the Rednieck Olympics. One game was ben bobbing for animal parts in a bath of tomato sauce.
Nonnie - Kewlbox Games, maybe?
ooo ick!
ok, I'll try that one. Thanks!
Thanks so much Book Doctor Gwen!
They also had the redneck version of horshoes in which you lob a toilet seat over the peg!
I meand kewlbox, not that bobbin for animal parts
LOL, Nonnie. I kinda guessed that.
yw mooch and i have no idea what the rest of these folks are talking about LOL
over a peg? that is the sissy version...we always used bubba's head!
my last word...re 5/12..please
Nonnie - and who is Bubba? And why was his head in your yard?

Och aye the noo, Gwen. Lang mae ye lums reek!
och, aye!
br 5/14 ... isn't that the number they always used to use on Hee Haw? LOL!
i remember that i watched that show, but i don't actually remember the show. (?) (!)
Translation from the Scots - 'Yes, I agree this night, Gwen, and long may your cxchimney's smoke'. ( Lighted fires were once a pointer of someone who was prospering rather than freezing.
that was the phone number they always gave out when they were in the cornfield. Don't know why I can remember that, but I do.
ummm, thanks 8-)
Hi, again!
Evening all. Back during a lull to finish. 2 to go.
hi pam, liz!

Indeed I do, Jac.
Gwen - strange thing is my ancestry is Welsh. Manxx and French. LOL
Dinner is done=finally. Only 3 left any clues for eu7/36?
and mine's not scottish but woo hoo, love that accents (or those accents)
Nighty night all--take care and see you soon.
lost, eu+ half circle + religious ceremony
eu7 = eu + writer's short opinion of someting + 2nd vowel
Any clues for the RE5/12, please?
I haven't even visited Scotland yet, but do intend to.
nite Nonnie!
there's w8? Or am I misreading the log?
fireworks
liz, re+ not walk, something much faster
You should Jacula, it's really pretty in parts.
re5/12 raced again
I went to Scarborough once in April and the wind was wuthering and it was bl**dy freezing. I need to gird my loinms for going 'Up North'. But I once went to Iceland in April and it as fine! LOL
reran
me neither; been to england once, canada lots. 8-)
Pam, there's a w7
OOOOOOPS, was that it?!? Sorry.
thx lb and Jac!
diff tense liz
re5 is what they call it when they show a tv show again
have that one, lbd. IT was that combo, the w5.7 that formed my first two words when first I came to this grid!
think TV shows repeats
liz, change the tense to present
I've lost track of who needs what or which clue now.
Yep, just got it thanks.
Fireworks!!
What does the 8 begin with?
Yay, Liz!!!!
congrats liz!!
Okie dokie pokies...I'm here for my last 60
0I'll just sit and drunkenly sing 'On the bonny, bonny banks of Loch Lomond' or, if my Scottish friends fail me, I'll switch to 'Danny Boy'.

i'll look for you - i'm not ping there - robin
Ok, thanks!!!
I haven't filled out any books yet...
Oh, that's right, Jade. And you moved, too, right?
yup
to Nebraska
end of song.. Danny Boy... ' Oh Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so. And if you come, when all the flowers are dying And I am dead, as dead I well may be You'll come and find the place where I am lying And kneel and say an "Ave" there for me. And I shall hear, tho' soft you tread above me And all my dreams will warm and sweeter be If you'll not fail to tell me that you love me I simply sleep in peace until you come to me. '
Smack dab in the middle of the whole 48 continental states
Danny Boy is universal with drunken irishmen. it just goes with Guiness
well then that's a good kind of tiring, glad you are enjoying it!
Is your daughter with you, Jade? Sorry to bombard you... it all comes back...
I take my guiness sans Danny!
there are a bunch of pams pam - which one are you?
no worries, pam. Yeah, Cierra came with me. But she's enjoying some time with her grandparents for the holiday weekend.
heh. i take my Danny sans guiness. ;)
Sounds like it has all worked out! YAY!
LOL, jes!
Yup, indeed it has, Pam
I'm not irish though. mostly norwegian. Never did develop a taste for beer.
Need to grab a quick bite & something to drink....brb
I am not Irish. Russian peasant stock. Absolutely love dark beers, stouts, and porters...
My daugher, as has my son, just left a tent in Tanazania's Serengeti Desert. She and he are now in a lodge Ngoronogoro.. less chance of being eaten by lions in the night.
Far more chance of dying att their next stop in 2 or days, Lake Manyara - that has insects and hippos. Never mind the lions ad hyenas, which are ever present.
yeah, but russians are almost as well known alky's as irish ;)
hope they are having a blast and that all of your concerns are blanketing them with good karma...
Yup! Jess/ Vodkah!
they've got a good guide, right jac? they should be ok
Oh yeah, jes, oh yeah!!! In my family, they are omnipresent! I can't do the vodka--doesn't agree,....
the happy little water we all love to drink ;)
can't do vodka? are you sure you're really russian?
For clear hard stuff, I prefer Gin. But, my hard liquor of choice is single malt scotch...
LOL, jes. it's true, it's true....
Oh, and I like Bourbon, too.
i'm a kamikazi girl myself. or amaretto sours. i like a little sweet in it... prefer cider to beer or wine.
amaretto sours!!
let's get silly!
well, i'm sure the russian peasants would drink scotch if they could get it ;)
I like Gin Martinis and Gin Bloody Marys///
sillier than usual, jade?
LOL, jes!
martinis straight up .. two olives
(lurking while drinking milk . . .)
When a friend of mine settled in Lithuainia, due to falling in love an marrying again out there, he'd never got so drunk and so hung over as he did hen the locals (new wife's friends) toasted him in their home-maade rought red wine. Honestly, I don't think the poor man has bee n the same since and te Lithiuanian 'temptress' has had him in her thrall for about 10 or 11 years now! LOL
oh yes, jes.
gwen...i'm drinking chocolate milk right now.
please!
LOLOLOLOLOLOL, Jac
not drinking tonight... headache meds in system...
you an amaretto fan, then, jade? ever try it in coke? tastes just like dr. pepper.
can i have some, pam?
love choco milk but it doesn't digest well
My FAVORITE drink, jes...is cherry coke & amaretto
Osmotically conveying pain relief, jade
tastes JUST like Regular Cherry Coke
Thanks Pam
Why on earth would you want to make amaraetto taste like Dr Pepper?
i have no idea. it just happened that way...
I like amaretto "straight"
Amaretto, milk and Kahula is a start...
is the coke the sour part jes?
it makes it easier to sneak into the school if it's in a coke can, you know.
Kaluha & cream for me, please
no, the coke is the disguise, muse ;)
lol, sounds like hubby with anisette in his tea
also, if you take an empty sobe bottle and put a can of grape soda in, there's just enough space for a shot and a half of vodka.... and that one's re-closable ;)
Would someone mind (giving me the word..), I mean a clue for the re8?
(almost hoping for more american idol chat -- I said ALMOST) LOL
Erm - there is no re8.
trounce someone again, jade... re+de6
yes there is..
Gwen - trash TV? Wash your moputh out, girl and your eyes.

Mine is part of a hideous cycle.... should not have cleaned today--the vacuum and other aromas did not sit well...

True, Jess, but I was just trying out on word for next Babblecast out and you lot are really on the ball re word meanings.
fe5/20??
hatfields and mccoys with an extra vowel, gwen
fe5/20 is like the family honour row the Montagues and the Capulets had going but with 2nd vowel placed firsst i the word.
grrr, another silly word TY TY
love how the clues match the flags, youse guys 8-)
If you got that from Jess's clue, then I have bo idea, Gwen! Your US TV passes by me mostly.
heh. well, i do know the montagues and capulets also... but had hatfields on the brain because someone else clued it that way earlier
tv? hahahhahahahh
i don't watch tv. the hatfields and mccoys were two families ages ago, back east, that got into a stupid fight over a pig (of all things!) and ended up killing each other off entirely.
true story, not a tv shoe.
show
Glad yuo know soe=me Bard stuff, Jess.

hi gw!! ((hugs))

good evening
hey stud!
hi andree, mrp, and stud
:)
hi trajic
**kisses and cuddles all round**
hey tragic
and tragic
i'm having a cute animal acquisition problem
i missed the pic of your dress stud!
is that what your new icon is?
aw, i can go back and get it if you'd like
my daughter is a nurse at mrp's favourite hospital!!!
ooh, your photo...
is that a problem with a cute animal you've acquired, or a problem with finding one to acquire?
sorry - tragic - that was direct to you.
but yes, while i'm doing that - meet taly (rhymes with collie)
hi mirish
hi mirish!
stud, is that two in as many weeks?
oh andree! she must be nice then :)
hi. :) i'm new to this whole chat thing.
yes ma'am
Fran -- I just used Dogpile on the cu4/9 and came up with a potential def in the urban dictionary -- it is most probably a variant spelling on a qu word meaning either "a promiscuous woman", or "a lock or curl of hair brought forward over the forehead."
nice dress stud!
thanks...
hmm, i found reference to it in a scottish dictionary and it said fool or ninny?
heh- it feels like a different person in that picture
mirish - add a pic :)
cute. :) how?
you're pro - show it off ;)
go to my account
cu4/9 is the diminutive form of coof is what it said.
why don't you post a photo of the newest member?
you can go back to the puppy if you want stud, i can tell you don't like that picture of the dress. :-)
all of the animals are quietly cuddled in separate areas in the bed
the urban dictionary actually had some much more crude potential defs as well, but one lead me back to dictionary.com and that is the one I chose to go with
heh - i don't mind the picture - it's just hard to see it as me :)
i wish i could get a pic of the the pups and the kitty and the cats
i'm crazy animal lady - it's official
what? they won't sit still for a group photo?
oh, stud, you'd be hard put to surpass me ;)
heh- not day one of complete familihood :)
that's refreshing jes
but what was the animal problem you said you were having?
just for you tragic
but you ive in the middle of nowhere, i hear they have more room out there
adorable animal acquisition
welcome to babble and pro-dom mirish!
meh. all but the horses are indoors, so space outside makes minimal difference
:) that's my favorite mirish
yay mirish!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ah... like 'i have a drinking problem"?
hello everyone --- nice to see a few people out that I haven't seen in a long time!
hey nan :)
hi nan!
exacty
hi nan
mirish, now you have to click on "show profile" so your flag will show.
welcome to pro babble mirish
thank you. :)
hi nan
hey c-nan!! good to see you too!
speaking of horses, that's tomorrow's theme jes.
well, i just today offered to take on a guinea pig or two ;)
oy
oh? hmm. i may have to change my icon for once... i don't see how i can twist it to be horsey ;)
can't it be puppies or kittens? :)
has everyone finished?
not i
How is the family GW?
how close, Ping?
no nan, but i'm not gonna
15
nope. i don't do puppies. i don't want 'em until they're at least 9 months old and have gone through the peeing on the floor and chewing on the furniture phases
i have, couple of people still working though.
very poky tonight
i was at the beach longer than i expected today
yeah- they're my favorite stages
oh, is that were you went after you picked her up? (is it a her?)
go ping!
ty nan
it's harder to make them codependent without those stages :)
family is doing very well, c-nan -- we just spent the weekend having hootowl visiting with us, so Kristianna has had an extended b-day celebration since two weeks ago
she is a her, and i got her after the beach - it was a great day
Her 4th?
brb, have to start dinner
Yep -- and we celebrated with just us on the day -- then last week our friends from LI came down with their kids and we had celebration part two, and this weekend, my mom came with more gifts...
nah. my last two dogs have been _mine_ in the "won't listen or care about anybody but mama" way. and i didn't get either of them until they were older.
so she asked me if she was going to get more gifts next week!
can't blame her for trying!
i don't have the patience for puppies--i am too worn out by ill-behaved animals at work all day to come home to them!
i have my friend's lab puppy for the weekend, and she's about driven me past patience a couple times with the constant jumping up
yeah - i work with ill behaved people all day - it's a pleasure to come home to the animals... at least they're cute
you were right fran - feels very good to have changed out of the dress
mirish you still here?
fi 7 help please?
yep - still here.
no fi 7
i mean fi 6 - no wonder i'm struggling
besides, there's always someone out there who'll take a puppy. all my beasties are rescues; and the older they get, the more unlikely someone else will take them
Thankfully she was very understanding when I explained that she was done with gifts until the Yule season comes around
fi 6: ferocious
fi6 goes up to the top of the grid--means aggressive
Hi, all
hi jell :)
Hi jellen
ooh, jesdraggon - THANK YOU! i rarely understand the hints, but that one i got. :)

first dr5/14 is the dr4 with a consonant added; the 2nd one is what Jellen just said :-D
thanks..
Welcome, miri, btw.

Congrats, ping!!!
Yayyy for Ping!!
my animals are a trying to get my rice cakes from me - i'm not even sure how it is that i like them... seems even stranger that they'd want them
thanks, guys
they want them because you have them, and people food is always yummier ;)
wow ping - you're now my idol. i've never finished.
jes, my cat is obsessed with nutritional yeast - why might that be?
you can do it, mirish!!!!!
give it time, mirish -- give it time
thank you, ping. :)
20 minutes later jes, it's a noble route to go - and the older ones are also way less entitled... :)
have to go too far back to find a wedding photo of my own, so have posted one of our son and new daughter-in-law (two weeks ago)
