what I do when I am really stressed, is I stop eating first, then stop caring about my afternoon nap, then stop caring about eating at all, and then I find I cannot sleep at night anymore because I am too tired. And then I kinda lose myself completely, and I just don't wanna be here anymore. And my sweet therapist said: "So... what can you do to help yourself?" Tsk.
I hope the closing will be repeated in prime time -- don't want to miss it

I know some of the oncologist here work with local oncologists to make sure that the latest methods are being used... if you don't get a good feeling after visiting with the springfield oncologist, you can go to one of the medical schools and see someone who specializes in melanoma (that was the type, right?) and he can work with teh local person to administer chemo

it is an amazing place jellen... patient oriented and good with working with the whole team

I also agree with going to a major cancer center. Another issue is that experimental treatment/clinical trials will be off-limits once he begins any treatment. So you want to start with the best of the best.

Get this. Last week a mother arrived 40 min late with her baby (with a cold). She arrived during my lunch break so I told the nurse that the mother could wait OR reschedule. Later I went to see the baby, after I saw my first afternoon appt that arrived on time. When I went to see the late kid Dr Head told me that he saw her. His e-mail states that it bothered him that I didn't handle it better and that he was disappointed in me. He wants me to "acknowledge to the group" how I plan to handle future situations like that.
I replied: I would handle it the same and that he was under no obligation to see the kid. Lunch is off-limits for us unless there is an emergency.

the mesh will make a window, but needs to be about 2" or so from the tubing...the webbing to reinforce the canvas which wraps around the tubing (secured by heavy duty snaps)...

I don't want to be chemically coshed, should I ever end up in a home for the bewilldered, but, when my Dad was in such a place for respite (before the final home, when we knew there was No Hope), I pased by a lady whose family had asked for no chemical coshing every day..a skeletal figure was curled up like am anorectic teenager on a bed and wailing like a new-born baby. It was hard to pass by.

my dad died in jan - almost 84; had broken hip in aug & home in letterkenny just about ignored him; had him on meds no one over 55 is supposed to get; each time my sister went over she would sent drug list back & docs here would advise docs there, & he'd come back to himself, but when she 'd leave he'd be ignored again; was down to 92 lbs [had been very active...]
My lastt image of my Dad is of him all cleched up and mouth open, all but one tooth gone, most pulled out without anaethesia in the home, he looked like one of those souls gone in the eruption of Vesuvius.
