true. We are used to simple flus here, but those take a week, tops. This is something different, a real nasty. Funny thing is, kids mature during such illnesses. Caya has grown up a bit. No longer afraid of strange cats, or of sleeping in the dark.

problem is sprite, I don't see any blessings anymore... this time has taken a massive toll on what I think is gratitutde and i couldn't be bothered with myself. But, I have come off all the meds over the last few days, so hoping my mindset will change without morphine in my brain
might be resulting from exhaustion as well, mrP. If som ething is deadly for one's mindset, it is chronic pain and the resulting loss of energy. It takes a saint to stay positive and grateful when totally exhausted, and God knows neither of us is one ;) I hope you will feel better soon.

well, there is no easy way to come off it, but I have done this 7 times now. May I ask how much you are presently on... all together over 24 hours?
mst 180mg a day oramorph 20 ml
it's took me 4 years to reduce down to this from 240mg
well, I dropped rapidly down off the high doses, about 40ml every 4 days, but I was on about 420ml a day
fireworks, and I have to go. Good luck to both of you.

there is no 'easy' way off... I am very much supported by my doctors and I have alot of experience coming off meds. I have been doing it for 8 years! I would certainly suggest the slow cut down.... but definitely cut down at a particular date and stick through it. The body does adjust if you do it gradual

I think my doctors are happy enough just dishing out the painkillers, I will see if they can do anything else for me
that sucks bad blue! You are on a high dose there. Start making demands on them to get you down if you are no longer needing that level of pain management. I certainly made sure I had a plan, otherwise I was too wasted and hated every day of it
it is not a matter of them doing anything else unfortunately. There is nothing else but weaning off them... there is no other drug to take over and help you 'feel' better. That is the bastard thing about morphine

Nope, it didn't work for me either. Stupid grid. It won't take the words we see and it wants us to find words that we cannot see and don't even know.
ok, Drove a total of 12 hours to get to destination. rode bicycles around a lake, played putt putt golf, went on a paddle wheel boat where we feed tortoises and eels, played tennis, saw a snake, horses, lizards, A whale breaching out of the ocean, then went to 3 theme parks where we slid down 12 different water slides, saw sharks, polar bears, dolphins and seals performing, water skiers doing tricks. Then the kids got put on Movie World TV opening with Tweety Bird and Silvester, took my daugher on Superman Escapes that does 4.5 G's, got soaked in a wild water ride, Saw Shrek 4D - had the donkey sneeze in our faces. Also went snorking with tropical fish and went to a Tepenyaki Restuarant in a 5 star hotel.

Haha, Liz! I pretended I was in the UK yesterday. A local wealthy family donated a large pa4 of their farmland to serve as a public park and working farm. There are rolling hills, old trees, woods, pathways in the woods for hiking and for horseback riding, ponds...beautiful! We sat next to the pond, watched geese and ducks, ate lunch and talked.
