Those of you that have been there re the sweats. Do they ever end, or become less intrusive? My Mum's in her 70s and she tells me they only calmed down 'a bit'.

My daughter, who has recently left home was back here the other day, went upstairs and then told me she'd had to use one of my pads. I shrugged. 'It's fine. I'm not using them!' I then rememberedd my Mum giving her stockpile of pads to me. Heck! That made me feel old.

Yes it does and you get more adjusted to life being different. I do think, though, that you come to a point where you have to decide to be positive and nearly force yourself to keep going. Some people can't let go, try to stay in the past, and just end up miserable.
The kids and grandkids won't let me do that. I have many friends and belong to two lodges so I'll keep busy and on the go,even though my heart is missing him
Your heart will probably always miss him, but you're right to be active and positive.

No, the cost is not wasted since it was their cancellation, not mine. Weather here this time of year is usually gorgeous -- clear blue skies, cool and crisp.
