It's also very unnerving to get up in the middle of the night to pee, in the dark, half conscious, and not be sure if your toes are going to get nibbled on while seated. Not a relaxing experience.

Had a miraculous find yesterday morning. When I came back from my walk I saw a strange shape in the snow, and thought "it can't be!", but it was - I beautiful, 4 inch long spotted salamander. I called the nature center and they advised me to put him in a nest of leaves by the edge of the woods, which I did, and s/he scurried right under them. Hopefully in the spring there will be baby spotted salamanders.

Delaware has a bit of a spill-over Philly accent. Water is pronounced "wooter", whereas I was looked at strangely when I said "wah-ter". I think the philly accents sounds a bit like Elmer Fudd.

MG - have they cleared you for use of a TENS unit (spelling might be off...)...my father ruptured two discs in his back some years ago, they thought he would never walk again, and that thing saved him...he'll 100% mobile. That, and a lot of time at the chiropractor.

TENS was (if I recall, and this was almost 10 years ago) three or four sensor pads that you placed on the injury in varied spots...did you just use it during said sessions, or...? When my father used it, it was as necessary. Some days, he simply could not be without it - others, he only used it a few times. Used it a LOT when he first started walking again. Just a thought, something to look into...maybe they won't recommend it for you because your injury isn't too severe *sopes*

What happened was... I had never seen the show. Walter and I were trying to find a table at a restaurant at the airport coming back from seeing my grandfather in California. We were at the bar, the only empty area, and teh fellow there said no 4-year-olds at the bar, which is of course reasonable. So I ordered our food and we cast about for somewhere else, and saw this lady at a table. I asked if we coudl sit there and she said of course, and was for the next while extremely gracious about Walter (3 1/2 at the time) continually handing her mustard and menus and stuff. Then we all left to our separate flights, I flew with a toddler for 15 hours, I put him to bed, we turned on the TV and decoided to check out this show, and THERE she was!
