yes that is true. Our family is quite disrupted in every way, nobody really speaks with anybody anymore. Getting back in touch with my sister and finding we can talk openly is a kind of miracle and one I treasure.
lol I always check my words near the end for forgotten verb forms, plurals etc. And no matter how hard I have tried, I always find lots of them still.

i htink the basic concept is that you put a sugar cookie under a thin mint, and then top it with another one, and then bake them. they seal themselves up into these little pouches, and the mint gets all nice and soft in the middle. she said they were heaven

use one of the monthly flea treatments on the dog (frontline, promeris, advantage, whatever) faithfully. most bombs are not good enough to kill fleas; they don't really penetrate the carpet. so you've got to get a spray thing that you take around and spray on the whole carpet in strips. treat all the bedding and any furniture the dog sleeps on too.

OR, and here's the one that'll really do you good, buy my house here, which already has laminate flooring, and ditch the old dog beds, and move here, where we just don't have much of a flea problem :)

I have had porr results with both since in Fl, before that either one was fine.
Many years ago, I hired a company called "flea busters". Never had a problem since. They used boric acid. Non-toxic. You can get it at the supermarket. 1 lb per 10x10 area. sprinkle around and brush in hard with a broom.Leave overnight, then vacuum. Important part: throw away the vacuum bag outside or the house right away. Do this the next 5 times you vacuum. Repeat in 2 weeks if needed. The BA is a fine powder. It suffocates the little finks. They also carry it back to their nests. I haven't had a problem since. ;)
