How's travel?
It's always strange for a while, isn't it? Kind of empty when they go.
Travel was fine- no major hitches at all. The internet is a wonderful resource.

Not a thing. The worst that happened was that we couldn't find a petrol station to fill up the hire car and had to ask in the airport.
But the French WILL keep persisting in driving on the wrong side of the road.
Nicely done then. Au contraire, ala NA style travel, my niece took an entire day to get here from Baltimore Maryland. Weather had made it an all day nightmare, cancelled flights, the whole 9 yards.
Poor girl! It's not nice being left in limbo like that.

I always like seeing young children and grandparents together. The grandparents have time to slow down and listen while the child points out things that parents are too busy sometimes to stop and look at. Sometimes the child can't walk too fast and that suits the grandparent for neither can they...
It's a great cycle of life really.
It is, and one good reason for families to try to stick together. Each element has something to contribute to the other.

It was bittersweet...we were up there for my brother's funeral. My remaining siblings and I were all outside and my eldest brother told us all to stop what we were doing and look up! We were treated to the most amazing light show of our lives. It couldn't have been better, sharing it with my family.

My apartment complex has an tennis court enclosed by a 12 foot fence-- a short while ago, we stopped by there during a walk.... I looked away for just a minute and when I looked back he had climbed six feet up and wanted to keep going!!
Always thought my son wuld be the problem child - and in some ways he has been - injury prone - not a stellar student (because he is LAZY), our foster son has every reason in the world to be a complete deadbeat derelict - and yet it is my brilliant, straight A. gymnast daughter who gets a minor in comsumption ticket at the age of 14.5 (after she and a friend snuck out of her friends house at 1 in the morning)

Cad - 14 is a very very tricky age. Its a bit like childbirth - we all blank out the bad bits - hence you and me cant remember it properly. But, she has the support of a great mom, and, God willing, she will be fine. ((((thinking of you))))
which makes it NO easier.However - her brothers who have both graduated but were well known football/track athleletes, know all the "older" boys at the school - so the is helpul :)

I have 53 left -- about half an hour after the flip last night (10 pm here) my internet crashed and didn't come back until nearly noon today. But then I had to leave for an afternoon of bridge, and feed my neighbour's cat when I got back. Then check email, and now must get supper, so ttfn. Unlikely to finish but I'll be baaaack!
