i can relate cybernan,remember the train derailment in port credit ontario in 1979? thing was loaded with L.P tankers and chemicals..over 10,000 of us were evacuated,we thought we were going to lose 20 blocks if she blew:/
yes -- I do remember that one. It must be terrible to be one of the people who have been evacuated, not knowing if their homes will be there when they get back in.

Many of the first evacuees were either shopping or at the beach when the fire first broke out, and have nothing but the clothes on their backs.

Min - I woke up to cat vomit all over the utility room floor and even on the scales up the corner tht we weigh ourselves on. Beloved suggested cat might have weighed himself, decided he'd had too much to eat, what with that extra mouse and all, and then thrown up the extra.

That would be a hysterical 911 call.
However, one memorable occasion when the cat was wretching in the sitting room, Other Half really should have left him to be sick in one spot on the beige carpet in there. Him violently picking him up and swinging him round into the hall caused him to do projectile vomiting all up the wall, mirror, skirting boards, all along the carpet.... we were both wretching as we tried to clean it up. Never smelled anything so foul since gathering the remains of a flyblown dead sheep back on the farm.
